level headed and fairness is common, but they play it cool. bc it’s air sign, they don’t get emotional. libra naturally remains calm about things, their emotions. 

decision making can be difficult, it’s not like an internal conflict, more like “i don’t want to be the one to make the decision so i make no decision” kinda takes from virgo in wanting the correct choice, except they’re not concerned with right or wrong, more like taking responsibility if their decision goes wrong.

i like this theory i found somewhere-don’t remember from where but- each sign takes a trait of their previous sign in the zodiac order. it’s supposedly an “elevated” version of the previous sign. 

so take that into consideration, libra will take some of virgo traits but improved. 

take virgos perfectionism, subtract relentlessness, keep the need for precise decision making- take away emotional distress. 

libra sun in 10th no matter what the sign, 10th house sun will strive to stand out. 

not necessarily like sun/leo. as they want attention, it takes on capricorns ambition.

Pluto in Aquarius Resource Pack:

I don't know who needs to hear these, but I think it's best to have these things as of late when concerning the transition into Pluto in Aqua. If AI is increasingly running the show, we must go back to our human ways in order for us to keep ourselves sane. These are but some of the tools I have in stock to help us through it, and I thought I might share. Cal Newport's Digital Minimalism (and Slow Productivity) Might I suggest using these texts to help you navigate this digital dark time. One to use for digital regression and one for staying sane in your WFH space.

The Transcendent Brain: Spirituality in The Age of Science by Alan Lightman This one was a quick pick that I channeled while at work. Haven't read it yet, but it poses a good disposition to the Pluto in Aqua transit for some odd intuitive reason.

Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino It's an anthology that describes to us what the algorithmic design of social media does to its people -- and women namely. If you want a book to capture your attention and also somewhat be part of a send-off to Neptune in Pisces next year, this will be a perfect book to look at.

7 Habits Collection (Of highly effective people and highly effective teens -- Sean & Stephen R. Covey) If you're looking to game up your humanity skills, whether younger or older (both are good refresh books), take a good gander at each for reference. May help you out more than good due to the Saturnian nature of Aquarius.

Originals: How Non-Conformists Move The World by Adam Grant If you're stuck on your capability to innovate, or have art block like a motherfucker, this is a book for those in need of a motivational boost for this Pluto Transit. Highly recommend!

Liberalism And It's Discontents by Francis Fukuyama Knowing that political systems have started to fall apart (communism, capitalism and many others), then this is a good place to start giving yourself ideas on what to support or what parties to make (if you're a political science major, PLEASE read Fukuyama's work I beg you). The systems that we've seen historically do not work anymore. We have to innovate whether we like it or not. Save the nostalgia for culture and at-home indulgences. Involving it with politics kills a system.

Robert Greene's 'The Daily Laws': 366 Meditations on Power, Seduction, Mastery, Strategy, and Human Nature There's an entry a day within this book. The author recommends to read it EVERY DAY. Introspection is also healthy under this Pluto in Aqua transit. You must do so from a detached perspective in order to be successful. If you missed at least 3 days or however many, read however many you've missed. A good challenge for every year. Easy new year's resolution goal or just a good routine add on that shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to do.

Behind the Fic: TW:OPT - Chapter 157-162

The second part of Proposal of Destiny Arc is here! First and last triple update!

WARNING: This will contain a bit of spoiler for the newest chapters of my fan fiction Twisted-Wonderland: Our Precious Treasure.

Let's start by talking about why I chose to adapt Ghost Marriage. Looking back to the post where I decided to make everything into one year, Ghost Marriage was supposed to be a companion arc with Welcome to the Villains’ World. Timeline wise back in that very early post, Ghost Marriage was the only one so far that we don't have a clear cut when it happened. All we know is that it happened after Heartslabyul Arc just looking at Ace and Riddle's civil interactions. Because of this unclearness, I feel comfortable adapting it this early.

Chapter 157: And All of Her Friends will Work Together

The title for this and the next chapter is taken from the lyrics of The Wedding Song from Corpse Bride

Welcome to the point where I yell at Azul "I know you're simping at Jonah but please don't be redundant".

Look, I love Azul simping on Jonah as much as the next guy, but there will be the point where I'll ask "Is this too much"

I'm actually worried about how I will write Azul in the future. Unlike Riddle, who still has a lot to grow (as seen in the next few chapters), I feel like Azul's main emotional conflict is done. My biggest worry is I'll be accidentally reducing Azul into the love interest who has nothing to do outside of Jonah. I'll try to figure it out in the future but right now, his main mission is to save Jonah.

Speaking of saving the groom, I think by this point everyone knows that we're going to have a major divergence in the second half of this arc. I feel like if Yuu/MC is in trouble, more people will be onboard in saving them, since they're more involved with more characters, unlike Idia.

Honestly, I really like writing the tiny things, like for a second Kalim is the one being level-headed and Jamil understands Azul's position. And the many chaos attempts, obviously.

At this point, Riddle was the only one who hadn't let go of what Azul did in Octavinelle Arc. This will be addressed in a future chapter. But for now, we're stirring up an ancient drama once again. What is this? YouTube commentary channels drama?

The main inspiration for the plan is, as it's said, the short Goddess of Spring, the short that became a practice animation before Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Back when Ghost Marriage was very first run in the JP server in 2020, there were guesses on what is it based on (in a similar fashion as Fun and Fancy Free for Happy Beans Day). Some people suggested it might be the Goddess of Spring, which to an extent, was inspired by Hades and Persephone. Or Wikipedia said Proserpina and Pluto.

The three things Azul suggested as the groom's gift is based loosely on some scene from the short.

The "cake of an early spring" is inspired by Proserpina coming out from the Underworld and turning the world from winter to spring. The "crystal valued by the king" is inspired by the diamond Pluto given to Proserpina. The "waltz at the height of the wedding" is inspired by the song and dance Pluto's imps are doing after Proserpina is taken to the Underworld.

At this point, I realized I had an issue with the timeline in this arc. This arc technically only lasted one day in canon, but I think I had a problem with how long the plan would take.

Chapter 158: To Make It the Perfect Day She's Always Dreamed

This episode is in a similar manner to some of my filler arcs which is a collection of short with very vague connections. This time, it was the view of love from different characters' views. For Ruggie and Deuce, this is more familial love, while for Azul and Jamil, this is more romantic love.

How they were partner-ups was based on some of the cards. Ruggie paired up with Malleus is a reference to the Masterchef event. Deuce with Silver is from his Starsending Robes story. The light music club is pretty obvious. And Jamil being a singer is a call for his future NRC-Tribe main singer position.

Okay, to clarify. At the point of writing this, I decided to follow my headcanon of the family of other characters, in this case, Ruggie and Deuce. And those headcanons were made a long time ago, way before the birthday cards were ever launched. In his Birthday Boy card, it was said that his mom died during childbirth while his dad went to buy milk went to work, and never return so he was taken care of by his grandma. In my fic, Ruggie was a child his abusive mother didn't want while his dad died from overworking. Deuce's backstory was more simple to build on: his mother and father were in an arranged marriage but then got divorced from household abuse.

The reason why Ruggie and Deuce were talking about family love is because I just feel like there isn't that much talk about it. Deuce and his love for his mother is one of his greatest strengths, so we need to mention it at least once in the fic. For Ruggie, I mostly just because I feel like it because I like to explore my own headcanon.

More headcanon, Valley of Thorn is an old-timey kingdom. Guillotine still exists there. Malleus, while might understand technology, might also not understand that much of human custom because he's a sheltered prince. Just not that innocent. He's just a bit confused.

Return to the Dwarfs' Mine. This can be a call back to the Prologue or a reference to Camp Vargas.

Now, let's talk about Kalim and Jamil. I ship them. I still do. However, at this point in the fic, I feel like I'm not ready to pair them up again, especially fresh from Kalim Disappearance Arc. Yes, they've forgiven each other however that doesn't mean they're healing just yet. Both of them still has a broken heart, they still need to change.

I think Jamil's POV of this chapter is the most different. I think this is the first thing I wrote for this chapter. So I think that's why it more focuses on Jamil's view of changes rather than love.

But you can count Kalim's changing love as well. Mind you, Kalim is still in love with Jamil. He accepted that Jamil won't return his feeling so this is a one-sided crush. Whether or not Kalim or Jamil will fully mend their bond, Kalim is still in his breakup era. So, until then, I can't pair them up just yet.

A Shrek reference here. Remember, this will be important.

Oh, and Lilia's power to make a space for them to practice, is built in similarly to what Malleus did in the Endless Halloween event. I'm actually gonna use this more, especially in Jonah's rewritten backstory.

We see more of Chubby being protective of Eliza here.

At this point, I do hold on to Chubby and Eliza being childhood friends to lovers, especially after I changed a lot about Eliza's backstory.

Originally, this was supposed to be Chubby's POV with his own flashback. However, it didn't flow well so I changed it to Azul's POV. His flashback will appear in a future chapter.

The whole idea of the Surprise Proposal, while also taken from the actual Ghost Marriage event, is actually more in line with the Project Sekai event called A Song Of Vows For You, Dressed In White! There the bride planned to have a fake objection scene as proof that the groom is the most loyal to her, almost similar to the Ghost Marriage event.

Also, we still keep Idia bitching about the failed rescue attempt because it's just too funny to be left out.

Chapter 159: The Courtship Tactics

This chapter is an adaptation of the Ghost Marriage event story and the Suitor Suit story of Riddle with some mentions of Rook (in the first half with the poem) and Epel (in the second half with the borrowing horse).

I'm actually pretty torn when adapting Riddle's story. The thing is I really Riddle and Malleus' interaction in that card, but in the fic, Malleus was nowhere near Riddle because he was baking cake with Ruggie. That was when I decided to have Crowley interact with Riddle instead. Because I need more Bird Dad agenda.

This is where I started to play around with Riddle. And I realized "man, Azul had it rough" XD. Here's the thing. In the fic, everyone made an attempt to do something to make up post-overblot. This includes Riddle and Azul. However, how come Azul getting more backlash compared to Riddle?

This is where I started to get worried as well. Because, in the center, there was Jonah. Back in Heartslabyul Arc, Jonah was not the center of attention, Ace was. Jonah was the side character. However, in Octavinelle Arc, he was the main player, but this time he had more friends, thus Azul getting a heavier judgment.

I guess because Heartslabyul Arc was more about Riddle and Ace that they can solve their issue quickly, and you can say that for Octavinelle Arc as well. But maybe the time spent with them and all of them getting closer can also be a factor. Well, the one that held the biggest grudge were Ace, Deuce, and Grim, with Riddle added post-Heartslabyul Arc.

Honestly, my biggest worry is making Jonah the center of the problem, which unfortunately I'll continue because of Ramshackle Arc. But hopefully, I can maneuver it better.

At this point of writing, Crowley had his own canon-diverged backstory, and his motivation maybe different from canon, thus this might seem OOC of him, I can admit that.

Now, let's talk about Crowley and Riddle's talk. I'm sure not all of you have the same view of forgiveness and second chances. Because I wrote this based on my beliefs as well. My biggest worry is making this sound like preaching and doesn't sound like I'm guilt-tripping Riddle.

I do really like writing Riddle's growth here.

Chapter 160: I Need a Hero

The title is obviously taken from I Need a Hero. This chapter specifically is based on the Shrek 2 climax.

I remember back then people would often joke about how the Ghost Marriage finale should be like Shrek 2. Well, I'm riding the trend and made it like that.

The first part didn't change much. It only started in the second part with the rescue.

I was trying to think what else should I do with the rest of the rescue squad, so I decided to give them a role in the dance, especially Ruggie and his unique magic.

Originally I wanted to have Epel using his unique magic in this chapter, however, I looked up again and found out that Rook helped a lot in Epel awakening it, so I decided not to write it.

There’s also a brief Epel’s Suitor Suit story moment.

The chapter ending with Ace screaming is reminiscent of the end of chapter 130 in which Ace saved Jonah from falling in the Scarabia overblot battle.

Chapter 161: So Say the World's Being Turned Against You

The title of this chapter and the next is the English lyrics of Ai no Scenario sung by JubyPhonic

This chapter, believe it or not, went through some changes.

Firstly, originally this chapter was going to be a battle between the Chubby and the Suitor Suit team similar to canon. This includes rolling everyone away like a log.

(Actually, sometimes I forgot there are other people here XD)

But, for some reason, I didn't write that. I think it was because of both Chubby and Eliza's backstory changes, the rest of the comedic nature of the finale was erased. Leaving us with a more somber finale.

The next was the dialogue. While most followed canon, I kinda tone down Ace's rudeness. Because, again, thanks to the changed backstory, Eliza's position is now as a victim of an unhappy marriage. Thus, Ace screaming that Eliza should just move on sounded way too cruel even to Ace's standard.

With that, Rook and Riddle had extra dialogue. Hammering own on Rook because, you know, he's the love expert, so, of course, he's allowed to give his words.

Now... *deep breath* Chubby's confession. Whoo-boy... It is actually based on the (inappropriate) confession scene from Mo Dao Zu Shi. I can't give the manhua because of the Everyday means Everyday chapter, but I can lead to the audiobook version. Listen. I had that danmei stuck in my head. It changed my life. I will make a reference whenever I can.

This is followed by the flashback scene. Now this flashback scene was kinda iffy because I think this is the only flashback that I can technically count as 'tell not show' (as in usually just narration) that has dialogues. Usually, my flashback is in italics with the exception of Eliza's retelling. Chubby's flashback counted more like flashes. So, I'm explaining in a weird way: my usual flashback is colored scenes with faded borders, Eliza's flashback is just a full-on OVA, while Chubby's flashback ran behind him like a grainy movie. Does this make sense...?

The flashback itself has a bit of inspiration from Daughter of White by mothy. Originally this was going to be a full Ai no Scenario, but I was like “Tsuki. You did Ai no Scenario before. Be creative.” So, Daughter of White was chosen. But also, the main reason why this flashback exists is really just to show Chubby’s puppy love crush. Knowing they are leagues away, I kinda want a scene that will establish their dynamic along with a reason why Chubby would be very devoted to Eliza. Thus, the tree scene is written.

Originally the flashback scene was supposed to be longer, perhaps retelling Eliza’s flashback from Chubby's point of view. But, perhaps from tiredness or I just didn’t know what else to add or I thought it would be way too long, this is the end result instead.

And because of this heavy change in pace, the battle with giant Chubby is cut completely for a fluffier ending because Eliza and Chubby deserve it!

Chapter 162: You'll Always Be by My Side

Despite being the last chapter of the arc, this is actually the first chapter I've ever written during this triple update.

More specifically, the funny process in writing this was I was writing backward. I started with the JonAzul scene before going back to Idia's best-man speech. And then to RiZul dance before finally finishing the flower boy talk.

The JonAzul talk was actually written way before I started this triple update.

The scenes in this chapter are mostly around Ace and Jonah's Suitor Suit card.

Like the previous chapter, there are some changes in the scene.

Originally, there was supposed to be more talk about Ace's past girlfriend between Ace and Deuce during their dance and maybe a slight hint of their crushes. However, I feel like it would be redundant, so ADeuce talk was cut off.

Riddle was supposed to talk about his fiance when Ace or Epel mentioned being betrothed. But that scene was also cut.

Rook's talk meanwhile was an addition. It was also a Mo Dao Zu Shi reference to two couples. Rook's parents were inspired by the relationship between Lang Wangji and Wei Wuxain, while Rook's grandparents were inspired by Qingheng-Jun and Madam Lan.

Rook also said that his family only love once. This is also a well-known Mo Dao Zu Shi fanon term of "Lans only fall in love once". But I feel like someone as romantic as Rook would believe in a soulmate.

Originally, during the walking down the aisle scene, Chubby was supposed to have his flashback sequence. But I ended up moving it to the previous chapter.

So with the flashback moved, we left with an empty sequence. But I was like "Hey, remember that wedding scene from Crazy Rich Asian? what if Jamil sings again?" And thus, another musical number.

The vow said by Chubby and Eliza was actually from Happy Sugar Life. Though I'm warning you about the maybe uncomfortable scene because this is the only scene I can find so far that had the full vow.

More Idia shitting on others during his best man speech. But we love him for that.

The second half of this chapter is fully in Azul's POV despite shifting slightly to Jonah/Jade's POV in the middle.

Originally, during Riddle and Azul's dance, it was supposed to be in Riddle's POV. However, I thought it would flow better if everything happened in a single take in Azul's POV.

However, it didn't lessen Riddle's arc of closure. The path to growth starts with admitting one's mistakes.

(Can you tell I really like writing about Riddle's growth?)

This leads us to our last JonAzul moment of the fic. Riddle joining Jonah and Azul's hand doesn't mean he would stop crushing on Jonah, it's just he trusts Azul again to take care of Jonah along with him.

Well, if Azul got a lot of shovel-talk, Jonah deserves one as well from Jade.

Jonah and Azul's talk was pretty straightforward, mostly around the reincarnation stuff.

And the last part... Woo-boy... I was very gushy when writing it. I was like squealing to my brother whether I want a full-on kiss or not. Because while Azul had admitted multiple times, and this is Azul's POV, it feels like this is not the time for a full kiss mainly because Jonah hasn't made clear his feeling. So we ended up with two kisses instead; on the hand and on the forehead.

The kiss on the forehead is a call back to the ending of Azul's memory maze.

You fail to complete the goals in each generation.

Rules:

Aging must be turned on, but you can have it at any length you wish (I recommend long but it is entirely your choice).

Each goal must be met before the new heir takes over.

You cannot give the sims dramatic makeover or personality adjustments. Slight changes to the appearance are fine but they can’t be made into a whole new sim. Traits cannot be changed once they are given.

Vague guidelines/suggestions:

Heir can be any gender, they don’t have to be female. They can also be any sexuality. 

Children don’t have to be genetic, they can be adopted, BUT they must be adopted as a baby/toddler.

Mods and custom content can be used.

The generations will offer three traits, you do not need the heir to have all three traits, but they MUST have at least TWO of them.

UPDATED RULE: If you cannot add any of the required traits when the heir is a child, you are able to choose any similar and change them to the correct trait when available (either as a teen or YA). You can do this through cheats in CAS. But the same rule applies that you must have at least two of the offered traits by the time the heir is a YA.

If you do not have all of the packs required to complete the requirements for each generation, either find a similar alternative or skip that rule. But where possible, you must complete each generation requirement. I have done my best to make this challenge base game compatible.

(OPTIONAL) Name each heir with the letter of the planet, e.g. Mercury = Max.

Generation 2 - Venus Your parents always spoilt you and your siblings, whatever you wanted, you got! Because of this, you’ve grown up always getting your own way. Everyone adores you for your good looks, but once they get to know you, they would discover you’re actually quite a shallow person. You can’t stay in relationships long-term, there is always something wrong with your partner, never you though…. Friends come and go, but you always have your parents and siblings to rely on. Requirements:

Have at least six romantic relationships throughout your life, but never stay with them for more than four sim weeks.

Have at least four children (the other parent can be the same or different, it makes no odds).

Have one (or more) of your siblings be your best friend.

Never have any close friends, other than your family, last more than a week.

Visit your parents, or have your parents over, at least once a week.

Never complete a career to level 10.

Master the photography skill.

Complete the mansion baron aspiration.

Generation 3 - Earth You are the middle child who comes from a broken family, with only one parent who had to balance their time between you and all your siblings. Even though your family does love you, you never felt truly loved or seen. You’re quite self-destructive because of this, and can never seem to let yourself be happy. There’s still hope though for things to turn around, but you must learn to love yourself before you can let anyone else love you again. Requirements:

Must be the middle child.

Have at least three romantic relationships, all of which you break up with them (don’t ask to be friends).

Have at least three careers, but quit your job before you reach level five.

Master the wellness and gardening skills, but not before you turn into an Adult.

Complete the freelance botanist aspiration, but not before you turn into an Adult.

Have only one child before reaching an Adult.

Never marry before being an Elder.

Traits: gloomy, loves outdoors, paranoid Aspiration: freelance botanist

Generation 4 - Mars Your parent never took good care of themself, their self-destruction often meant you had to be their emotional safety net. You were always there for them and looked after them, but as their child, they should be the one looking after you, not the other way around? As you got older, you realised how terrible that had been for you. You never got to truly be a child as you had to be responsible for your parent. This has led you to become quite angry and frustrated, but you won’t let yourself turn into your parent, you can do better and you will do better. You are passionate about fitness as it has become a cathartic way to let your aggression out. Requirements:

Have a close relationship with the previous heir growing up, but lose all friendship when you become a Young Adult. 

Visit the gym at least once a week throughout your Young Adult and Adult life.

Have a part-time job as a teen.

Graduate high-school with an A grade.

Get at least an A grade at university (if you have discover university)

Reach level ten of any career.

Never have a serious relationship until you are at least level eight of your career. Rekindle the friendship with the previous heir only after you reach level ten of your career and are engaged to your fiancé.

Have at least one child.

Master the fitness and research & debate skills.

Traits: hot-headed, ambitious, perfectionist Aspiration: bodybuilder (or academic if you have discover university)

Generation 5 - Jupiter  You were quite fortunate in your upbringing. Your parents established themselves and their careers before they had you, which meant you were quite well-off. But they didn’t spoil you, they taught you to work hard for what you want. They give you the opportunity to explore different hobbies and skills, and are supportive of whatever you want to do, and you make sure to take full advantage of this. Any opportunity that comes your way, you take it. You can never settle on one passion, and have many different interests. Because of this, you’re quite a well-rounded person and have a lot of skills in different areas. Requirements:

Live in at least two different worlds as a Young Adult, and another two different worlds as an Adult.

Master the cooking, painting, rocket science, DJ mixing, and bowling skill. 

Travel to Sixam.

Master at least one instrument.

Master at least one extreme sport (if you have snowy escape).

Complete your aspiration before you become an Elder.

Have at least two children before you become an Adult.

Traits: adventurous, self-assured, cheerful Aspiration: nerd brain (or extreme sports enthusiast if you have snowy escape)

Generation 6 - Saturn You were always moving around growing up, from house to house and world to world. This has meant you’re quite well-rounded and intellectual due to your understanding of different cultures. Your wisdom means a lot of people look up to you and rely on you, but you can be known to sometimes look down on other people if they don’t quite match your intellectual standard. You can be quite cynical and pessimistic, but you’re just being honest and real with yourself and others. Requirements:

Master the Selvadoradian culture, vampire lore, writing and logic skills.

Visit the library at least once a week to work on writing books.

Write and publish at least five books before you turn into an Adult.

Get at least an A grade at university (if you have discover university).

Reach level ten of the education career (if you have discover university).

If you do not have discover university, then reach level ten of the writer career.

Visit Selvadorada at least twice as a Young Adult (if you have jungle adventure).

Have three children with your long-term partner.

Traits: genius, gloomy, bookworm Aspiration: renaissance sim

Generation 7 - Uranus Growing up with a parent as intellectual as yours, you have always been exposed to exciting and different things. Your brain never settles and you always want to be trying something new. Because of this, you can sometimes be seen as a bit eclectic and erratic. But there’s nothing wrong with that, especially if it means your exposure to new things can enlighten your mind and life! Requirements:

Reach level ten of the science career (if you don’t have get to work, then tech guru career).

Reach level five of at least ten skills over your Young Adult life, but focus on one at a time, don’t do them all in one go.

Master the painting and programming skills.

Don’t have any relationship last for more than two weeks.

Have a cowplant at all times throughout your Adult life.

Complete at least one collection of your choosing.

Have only one child.

Complete at least two aspirations, one must be the computer whiz aspiration.

Traits: erratic, non-committal, genius Aspiration: computer whiz

Generation 8 - Neptune Your parent’s eclectic ways meant you grew up quite free-spirited and exposed to new ideas. Though you were more of a person of fate than your parent, who was a person of science. You were more spiritual and they were more factual. This causes a lot of tension between the two of you, though you do still get along, you’re just two very different people. Since moving away from home, you try to connect more with your mind and soul than the outside world.

Requirements:

You must move to a new world when you turn into a YA (if you have island living, move to Sulani).

Master the wellness, painting, medium, and guitar skills.

Do not have a relationship last for more than a week UNTIL you have mastered these skills.

Sell at least two paintings a week.

Have five children, the other parent doesn’t need to be the same person.

Complete the painter extraordinaire aspiration and the musical genius aspiration.

Clean Sulani (if you have island living).

Befriend Guidry (if you have paranormal).

Hold a séance at least once a week (if you have paranormal).

Traits: creative, child of the ocean, goofball Aspiration: painter extraordinaire and musical genius

Generation 9 - Pluto You are the youngest child out of a big family, and often feel overshadowed by your older siblings. They always seemed to do better than you growing up, and you never really stood out. This has caused you to feel a bit like the black sheep of the family. Because of this, you never really connected with your siblings or parents. You never really do much with your time, as you feel it wouldn’t be good enough anyway, but  no one knows your real passion, what you’re really good at…  Requirements:

Lose all positive relationships with your parents and siblings as a Young Adult.

Never achieve more than a B level at school.

Only ever have part time jobs for freelance work as a Young Adult.

Master the video gaming and mischief skill before you are an Adult.

Have a midlife crisis when you turn into an Adult and discover a new passion.

This can be any skill you wish, but whatever it is you must master it before you are an Elder.

Only ever get a full time job as an Adult, and reach level ten before you are an Elder.

Never have a romantic relationship or any close friends until you are an Adult.

Meet your soulmate as an Adult.

Have at least one child.

Reconcile and make amends with your siblings (and parents if they are still alive) when you are married and have your first child.

Traits: loner, gloomy, jealous Aspiration: soulmate

Generation 10 - Sun You heard how much your parent suffered before they truly learned to love themself and others, so you know how important self-love is. You believe that core energy comes from within and that you are the only person who can truly make yourself happy. If you want something, you will work until you get it as you believe you are capable of anything. You aren’t really interested in romantic love, but are passionate about your friends and family.  Requirements:

Never have a romantic relationship.

Have at least five close friends who you see at least once a week (the Get Together club system is beneficial but not essential).

Visit your parents, or have your parents over, at least once a week.

Live with at least two friends throughout your entire Young Adult life, either through the discover university roommate system or in your household.

When your parents become Elders, they must move in with you.

Always have a pet (if you have cats and dogs and/or my first pet).

A ten generation legacy challenge based on the planets in the solar system, including the sun and Pluto. Each generation will have a different set of goals and requirements before the new heir takes over. To WIN:

(All about Partners, Love, Marriage and Children, plus some Sex)

(These may or may not apply to you, please keep an open mind and take it as entertainment rather than life changing facts)

(This was highly requested so I took my time with it to gather as much information on romantic partners, children and possibly marriage)

💘The degrees of Venus, the house our Venus resides in and the 7th house tells us alot about our perfect match or the “love of our life” if you will. (Ex. I have Gemini Venus in 25 degrees, so I am very attracted to Aries like people. My Venus is in the 5th house at 13 degrees, another Aries degree, which means I’ll meet this person in a social setting like a party, a club, a hangout, a show, a bar or a gathering. Finally, my 7th house at 3 degrees means I am very likely to be with another Gemini Venus.)

💘Moon Square Venus leaves a strain or a distance between the parent and their children.

💘Uranus in the 8th is very likely to be super chill about sex and might have no standards at all. They’re attracted to non conforming people.

💘The 4th and 10th house can give us an insight into how we act differently in a relationship. The 4th house is us in private, while the 10th in public. (Ex. Virgo 4th and Pisces 10th is like an “angel in streets and a devil in the sheets”.)

💘When it comes to sex, our 9th house tells us about our hookups and our stance on them. Having a Water or a Fire sign, Sun, Mars or Jupiter makes it easier for the person to “hit it and quit it”. While on the other hand, having an Earth or Air sign, Moon, Venus, or Saturn in the 9th makes it harder for the person to be fully open about one night stands. However, they’re very likely to have friends with benefits or a regular hookup buddy.

💘Although the 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th have to do with the physical aspects of attraction and relationships but the 3rd and 6th is what people ultimately love us for. Our way of talking, interests, topics of discussion, humor, odd behaviors, and imperfections. They’re the things we try to hide or monitor to appear more appealing to people.

💘Chiron and the house it resides in is our baggage. The emotional landfill that comes with being in a relationship with you. The sign of the Chiron is what are we harboring and the house it resides in is about what. (Ex. I have Sagittarius Chiron in 10th house Scorpio. 💘The degree of the Moon and Saturn, along with the houses they reside in give us insight to us as parents. (Ex. I have Moon in 0 degrees so I may never physically have a child of my own or if I do have a biological child, then I won’t have an emotional connection with them. It’s in 11th house at 13th degrees, which means being a parental figure or an inspiration rather than a conventional parent. Saturn in 7 degrees makes me diplomatic, fair and understanding when disciplining. I have Saturn in 3rd house at 18 degrees, making me either too tough or too easy on them.)

💘Houses with Mutable signs tells you about your fetish and/or odd turn on’s. (Ex. Having a Mutable AS, 4th, 7th, 10th is very into daddy/mommy and boy/girl fantasy, Power dynamics, role play, rags to riches stories, boss and employee etc)

neptune represents issues which are frequently unconscious, so all of this may operate without your awareness. if projected, the negative aspects of neptune become more emphasised. the more you reject it in your own life, the more likely it is that you’ll meet it in exaggerated ways outside yourself.

neptune in the 7th house

this is another loaded placement; you are likely to encounter difficulties in the area of personal relationships. there are many manifestations of this placement: you may look for a savior to ease the feelings of loneliness and isolation rather than taking responsibility by becoming your own person, you might wish to merge with your partner. if you become too dependent on anyone, they’re going to let you down one way or another. the alternative manifestation is you playing savior to your partner. hence, the reputation of this placement as a magnet to victim types (negatively: drug addicts, unstable people w a shady/difficult past, “artists”, wannabe geniuses and prophets, etc) who need a lot of mothering and cleaning up after.

if neptune can’t be at home (12th house) then his next favorite house is that of his bestie, pluto (8th). neptune’s major thrust is the loss of boundaries - what better place to lose them than in the house of sex, sharing and intimacy?

sex is often symbolic in this position; rather than just being enjoyed for its sake, it is the means to alleviate psychological pressures and concerns. sex is also a way of merging with others, hence transcending the means of oneself. i’ve noticed physical intimacy is also an escape from loneliness, and the promiscuity associated w this placement comes from this. some may feel that giving themselves sexually is also a way of serving. this placement is also present in people confused about their sexual identities. neptune is so diffuse and adaptable, so fluid and shapeless, that they have difficulty knowing what they really want. conversely, problematic aspects to saturn may suggest a fear of letting go - a tension between holding on and letting go (abstaining from sex altogether). my friend with this placement told me she always fantasizes about people she isn’t with rather than her girlfriend. neptune is never content with what it has. besides, if you know someone too well, their alien magnetism eventually wears out.

I've been doing a whole heck of a lot of travelling this week and I was thinking about Wheats. How about some airport/airplane (or just travelling in general) hcs of Wheatley? Other characters encouraged, he was just the star of the show in my head lol.

j2 compatibility chart expanded part 2.

here’s a continuation of the aspects of the j2 chart. we’ve got a lot more in here to do but i'm gonna edit a little to make it go faster. HERE’S PART 1 if you missed it.

i think by now we all know that the astrology says these two are quite the pair, whether it be in friendship or in something more. under the cut i’m gonna do the challenges/negatives after i finish my positive aspects. 

[ jared mars sextile jensen neptune ] - this one isn’t for the hats of the bunch. the thing that sticks these two together is a focus on a cause, a project, or an idea of how to make the world better. they’re creative together, and if this were the only positive aspect these two had, i would worry that their connection would end after supernatural/any other joint projects. however, we do have many other aspects to support a long lasting union here, so i’m not too worried. this IS a friendship aspect, but the part i find most interesting that it tells us that jared is the leader and jensen is the idea person. i don’t know that many people see them that way, but i think it sounds accurate.

[ jared mars conjunct jensen pluto ] - welp, THIS ONE is for the hats. and i quote: “sexual energy seems to simmer barely under control.” shit, y’all. “THE INITIAL STAGES OF THIS RELATIONSHIP ARE FRAUGHT WITH SEXUAL TENSION, WHETHER OR NOT THIS IS AN INTIMATE UNION.” i, uh. think that’s all that needs to be said. i don’t even need to add anything here. well. maybe this gif.

[ jared jupiter trine jensen jupiter ] - ancient astrologers said that jupiter was really lucky/beneficial in a chart like this, meaning this aspect tells us much of what we already know: any kind of connection between the two of them is going to be good. the attraction between them is like a magnet, but jupiter doesn’t necessarily mean sexual, just that they’re ridiculously drawn together. however, this aspect also comes tacked with it “lucky in love.” so uh. take that as you will.

[ jared saturn sextile jensen neptune ] - see, this aspect right here is why i don’t pay much attention to the first one i listed today saying that they could split up after supernatural. saturn speaks to commitment, which i think i talked about a lot in the last post, and neptune is dreams and inspiration and that kind of stuff. so together, this is another one of those “THIS IS FATE” aspects. this one, again, doesn’t mean necessarily a sexual relationship, but in any case, it’s fate to be close. 

SO unlike last time, i’m gonna be skipping the duplicates, which is just the planets swapped. like up there says “jared saturn sextile jensen neptune”, well the next one is “jared neptune trine jensen saturn” so basically, same thing. 

[ jared pluto trine jensen jupiter ] - yet another soulmate-y one. this isn’t just a love-at-first-sight thing, though that is also implied. this is that they really fuckin get each other on a bone-deep level. this is gonna be intense no matter what the nature of the relationship, and they make each other better people. 

skipping more repetitiveness... blah blah blah, soulmates, make each other better, more fate, more creativity, bffl, yadda yadda. YOU GET IT.

OKAY it’s challenge time. what have you got for me, space friends? tiny cheat sheet that you don’t need: a square is a challenge, and an opposition is a bigger challenge. 

[ jared chiron square jensen saturn ] - here we have past hurts getting in the way. this challenge actually has a positive spin in that, if they communicate the past hurt to each other, they’ll bond over it and overcome it together. but if they don’t, they’re just going to compound the pain. this is not one we’d be able to see as they’re hidden hurtful experiences, but as this is already a 15 year partnership of some kind, i would say we’re out of the woods on this one.

[ jared pluto square jensen mars ] - this one is interesting because it shows an explosive nature. here we have the issue of if communication doesn’t happen properly, they will explode. this could actually get physical, which i find really interesting. basically, all that magnetism and passion of the positive aspects can get volatile if they didn’t have a way of understanding each other. from history we’ve been told that jared and jensen don’t really fight, that they did the one time and that they made the decision to never do that again and handle it in a different way. but who knows if that was just a thing they said in public? honestly, though, it doesn’t seem like these two struggle to communicate.

[ jared neptune square jensen venus ] -  this is the romeo and juliet aspect. which, hey, sounds great, but then you remember how that story ended. basically here we have such an intense kind of love that makes you forget perspective. they get lost in each other and forget the rest of the world. this isn’t so much dangerous for them in a relationship, but everything outside of it. this is that friend who forgets you exist once they have a new partner. 

[ jared uranus square jensen saturn ] - the combo here comes up a lot, actually, so i’m interested in this. however, it seems backwards. it says JARED is hard to pin down and jensen wants the commitment, but in other aspects, we have jensen needing to make sure he has freedom and jared to respect it. basically this challenge is finding a balance between ALWAYS BEING TOGETHER and being independent, which is what we’re seeing these days at the end of spn and quarantine keeping people inside and apart. this is an aspect made for this weird time.

[ jared mars square jensen mars] -  mars pitted against each other makes these two have this idea that they’re in competition. i think this one probably worked itself out early on, but i can see how it would flare up again now that they’ll be working on different things. there could be a lot of tension if they both want to pursue more acting and one does better than the other. however, they could skate through this easily if they’re doing different things or if it IS something they addressed when they were younger. 

more squares that talk about tension without communication, i think we kind of covered that, so let’s hit these oppositions before i leave you for the night. 

[ jared jupiter opposition jensen chiron ] -  i’m gonna be honest, i don’t get this one. but this could be because we don’t see these guys talk a lot about this kind of stuff, but anyway. this opposition says they have conflicting ethics? that their challenge is to respect each other and learn from their differences. says that jensen is more sensitive and touchy here but jared is all about learning and talking about it. this is an oppositon meaning it’s more intense than a square, but i...? it says also that if they can work through it they’ll be better and stronger together for it. maybe this already happened. i dunno, they seem to have a similar code to me. 

[ jared neptune opposition jensen jupiter ] -  okay, maybe this one explains the last one. this bad boy says they’ve got differing beliefs in the spiritual and religious sense. apparently jared thinks his way of spirituality is better. and that this aspect could really bring a deterioration to their union if they don’t respect each other’s beliefs. huh. interesting.

Honestly, most of us just use baby name websites like babynames.com or babycenter.com or nameberry.com.

If you like noun style names or the like, you can also decide on the subject and just look up lists of those or [subject] names for humans. For example, I know a lot of nonbinary folk who named themselves after birds or plants, so they may just spend time looking through lists of bird/plant names or look up something like “bird/plant names for babies”. When I was searching for my name, I went through a lot of lists suggested by searching “gender neutral names” as well as searching through various mineral lists.

If you want a more “out there” name or a fandom-based name, then name generators may be your friend.

If you’re connected to your culture or ancestry, you can also try looking up names that originate from your region.

How I found the names I finally settled on was by searching by name meaning. So, my birth name means “pure/light”. So I looked up “names that mean light” and “names that mean pure” and looked through those lists. It turns out the name I settled on doesn’t actually mean pure or light, but the list I came across it on said it did, and I ended up falling in love with it anyway.

Inspiration is everywhere. Good luck and have fun with it! If you’ve been searching for a while and haven’t found anything, try also taking a break. I found a name I liked but didn’t really feel like me, then I took like a seven or nine month break in searching because I was tired and getting more cranky/upset than excited. When I was excited to search again, I had completely new ideas of what I might like, and I found a name that not only do I like, but just feels right. Like figuring out your identity, names can take time. If you get dissuaded, let yourself rest for a while.

L'Inferno (1911) Movie Review!

As promised, we're gonna be celebrating this Spooky Season with a Devilman Crybaby headcanon! In order to fully express my HC, I will be reviewing icons of horror cinema and literature that helped contribute to many of the themes and ideas that are prevalent in Go Nagai's original manga. So, without further ado, let us descend into the Blind World. Put all fear and cowardice aside. I will be your guide through this eternal place, where you shall hear the shrieks and see the tormented spirits who all bewail the second death.

And how appropriate? Because our first film is the 1911 adaptation of The Inferno by Dante Alighieri. I suppose it's only right to begin this saga of horror films with one of the first horror films ever made. Okay, "first horror film" is actually debatable, so keep in mind that I said "ONE of the first." In any case, it remains one of the most important landmarks in horror cinema.

"Stopped, in the middle of what we call life,

I looked up and saw no sky, but rather a dense cage of leaf and tree and twig,

For I was lost."

The film opens as the iconic poem does. Dante Alighieri is a middle-aged man who finds himself lost in a dark, gloomy forest. This opening of the story always had a way of making me feel somewhat lonely and isolated. In my interpretation, I always saw this forest as being symbolic of how Dante felt after the death of Beatrice. Allow me to explain...

For those who don't know, Dante met a young girl named Beatrice when they were both nine years old. The young boy immediately fell in love with her, even though they hardly interacted. Despite their lives continuing in separate directions, Beatrice had always and forever held a special place in Dante's heart. When he received word that she had died, Dante was absolutely devastated. He felt that she deserved to be immortalized in what he intended to be his magnum opus; The Divine Comedy.

I believe that this opening to the Inferno is actually Dante going to a journey to find Beatrice so that he could say goodbye to her. Along the way, he got lost, both literally and spiritually. That, in my opinion, is what this forest symbolizes. In many ways, this opening kind of reminds of the opening to Silent Hill 2, just from how dismal it is.

Having said all that, I think the film does a very poor job of conveying those emotions. Sadly, I just don't feel any of the despair that was present in the original poem. He just wanders around for a few seconds, then steps out into a clearing. But don't worry! As soon as Dante steps into the clearing, the film IMMEDIATELY gets better. Upon entering this clearing, Dante finds himself at the base of, what I believe to be, Mount Purgatory. I can only assume that's where he is, because the gates of Hell are at its base, and Dante seems to suggest the gates of heaven are at its summit, just like Purgatory. Unfortunately, his path is blocked by three ravenous beasts: a leopard, a lion, and a she-wolf, all representing different Earthly sins. He runs back the way he came, before being rescued by a strange apparition. It's here that the film begins to remind us all of why the original poem is regarded as a self-insert fanfic...

Upon introducing himself to the apparition, Dante learns that it is the actually the ghost of Virgil, author of the Aeneid. The significance of Virgil being in the story is that he was Dante's favorite poet of all time, and Dante always longed to meet and interact with him. It's literally a self-insert fanfic of Dante meeting and interacting with all of his inspirations. It's honestly a mystery to me why I love The Inferno so much, because it's everything I hate! It's a Catholic's fanfic about why he sees himself and his friends as morally superior and why everyone he ever disagreed with is going to Hell. Somehow, in spite of all that, I still love it.

So why did Virgil even decide to help Dante in the first place? Well, remember when I talked about Beatrice dying? It turns out, she descended from Heaven into Hell to ask him for help, because she knew how important he was to Dante. She tasked Virgil with being Dante's guide, after seeing that he has gone astray.

This is where the film's innovation starts to take shape. Beatrice has often been drawn as having a halo around her head. The problem is, how do you show that in a film made in 1911? The effect was strikingly realized with, what I assume to be, spinning rods covered in reflective material. I can only guess this is how it was done, but it appears right to me, because that's how a similar effect was created for the lightsabers in the original Star Wars. It looks like the rods were placed behind the actress, so that the rig couldn't be seen, making it appear as if the light was emanating from her head. This scene also displays an early appearance of wire work on film. In those days, that shit wasn't easy. It was even harder to hide the effect, which this film does fairly well.

So, Virgil explains to Dante that he must take him on a pilgrimage through the three different stages of the afterlife. To be perfectly honest, I never understood why. Maybe I'm just an idiot with little to no reading comprehension. It's also a factor that I haven't read parts II and III of the Divine Comedy, so maybe it's elaborated better in there. From what I gathered, since Dante is going on a journey to find the literal Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin intensifies) Virgil needs to take him to Hell and Purgatory, so he can face his sins and better appreciate Paradise. And thus, Virgil's pilgrimage to lead Dante through the Afterlife begins!

"Through me, the way to the City of Woe

Through me, the way to everlasting pain

Through me, the way among the people lost

Divine Power made me

Eternal I endure

Abandon Hope, all ye who enter here"

That is the inscription above the Gates of Hell. It is here, that Dante is already planning on turning back. Virgil literally tells him to stop being a pussy, and I was satisfied. Once they enter the gates, it becomes apparent to the viewer, if it hasn't already, that this isn't just an adaptation of Dante's work. This film is actually a cinematic translation of the ICONIC illustrations by Gustave Dore that were created in the middle of the 19th century. So much care and detail was put into recreating his AMAZING artwork, that many consider to be his magnum opus. This film was basically the Zack Snyder's Watchmen of its day!

Those familiar with the story will recognize this iconic scene that is being recreated onscreen. Dante and Virgil have come to the shores of Acharon, where the souls of the damned board Charon's vessel to be taken before Judge Minos, who lives in Limbo.

Speaking of Limbo, that is the first spiral of Hell Dante visits. This is where good people who weren't Christians come to face eternity. Their punishment is meant to be the denial of Paradise, but if you ask me, it doesn't seem so bad. Apparently Dante felt the same way, because this is where he meets his other great inspirations, such as Homer and Ovid! The poets all enjoy their visit together before Virgil must take Dante on his way. This is honestly the part that makes me cringe the most. Nothing reeks of self-insert fanfic more than meeting your idols and being greatly respected by all them. This is exactly why I abandoned my Silent Hill fanfic.

Anyway, Minos's throne lies at the lower boarder of Limbo. The king himself appears as a giant naked bearded man with a snake tail. The tail is used to determine the punishment of sinners by wrapping around Minos's own neck multiple times. However many times the tail coils determines which spiral the sinner is sent to.

And here we get to my favorite scene in the whole film: Lust! This spiral perfectly displays the true innovation of special effects. In this spiral, sinners are punished by being caught in a tumultuous whirlwind. The wind symbolizes the tumultuous feelings that arise between lustful lovers. It's one of Dore's best illustrations, and it blows my mind that the filmmakers were able to recreate it so well!

Our two pilgrims move onward to the Spiral of Gluttony, where we come across Cerberus. He guards this spiral, but Virgil subdues him by throwing a clump of dirt in his face (still more respectful than Lore Olympus). Honestly, Gluttony is nothing to write home about. It's just a raining landscape with people laying in the mud. Still, I have to give credit for the meticulous recreation of Dore's art!

Down in Greed, who else do we find guarding this spiral, other than Plutus?

SIDE NOTE: I've read a very strange "translation" of his dialogue. The original line reads, "Pape Satan, Pape Satan, allepe!" Strangely, no one seems to agree on what exactly this means, so most translations are different. Particularly, in the case of Douglas Neff, he translates "Pape" to "Papa," which is strange because "Pape" means "Pope" in Itialian. Then, he changes "allepe" to "you are my king." Let's also not forget that Plutus was also occasionally used as an epithet for Hades and/or Pluto. This means Douglas Neff literally wrote Hades to say, "Daddy Satan, I worship you" (still more respectful than Lore Olympus)!

In the Spiral of Greed, the sinners are forced push heavy sacks of gold around for eternity. Once again, this scene is nothing special, but still an admirable recreation of the illustrations that inspired it.

The next scene, however, shows off more of the innovative talent that makes this film so amazing! Virgil and Dante move on to the Spiral of Anger, where the sinners are punished by being submerged in the black sludge of the River Styx. The only way across is by boat. This is where Phlegyas comes in. The two poets stand by a giant tower which they use to signal for passage to the City of Dis. Along the way, the boat is stopped by Dante's political and intellectual rival, Philipo Argenti. It's here that one realizes just how petty Dante truly was. "Oh, I disagree with you politically. Therefore, you deserve to drown in sludge for all eternity!" He sounds like people I used to know. Hell, he sounds like me in high school!

All while this is going on, we see an amazing special effect of a double exposure of Dis in the background. It's an amazing miniature of the city's outer wall, optically printed to take up the entire top half of the screen.

Finally, they make it to the other side of the river, where we actually get a cameo by Hades' and Persephone's children! No, not Zagareus, Makaria, and Melinoe. None of those people were Hades' and Persephone's children. I'm actually referring to the Erinyes (also known as, the Furies). They block Dante's entrance to the city's gates, so Virgil calls upon the aid of an Archangel to rid them of the Furies. It is here that Dante asserts the superiority of Christianity over the Hellenistic faith (still more respectful than Lore Olympus).

Within the City of Dis, Hell begins to look more like how we always imagined, with fire and brimstone. In the Spiral of Heresy, sinners are stuffed into eternally burning ovens embedded in the ground.

Beyond that is the only omitted sequence from the poem. In the original Divine Comedy, the Spiral of Violence is originally guarded by the Minotaur! Beyond that are sinners, stewed in a boiling river of blood (The Phlegethon). On the banks, we see a heard of Centaurs practicing their archery on them. These are the individuals who were violent towards other people. In order to cross the river of blood, Dante and Virgil must ride on the back of one of the centaurs. You know, having heard of centaurs' notorious reputation for being horrible rapists, it makes me concerned for the sake of our Pilgrims. Maybe they didn't include this in the film because they couldn't figure out how to make a centaur?

On the other side of the Phlegethon, Violence continues into the suicide forest (*Logan Paul reference here*). Here is where sinners, who were violent against themselves, are punished. Once judged to this spiral, they grow into trees. The symbolism being that trees are a symbol of life, of which these sinners have deprived themselves. I'm surprised this scene isn't more controversial. After all, seeing as how seriously mental health has been taken recently, it's fucking awful to tell someone they're going to Hell for committing suicide! As a peice of horrific imagery, I love this scene, but knowing that Dante actually believed this makes me despise it.

In addition to being a horrifying concept, this scene also includes one of the first instances of bloodshed in a horror film. Virgil explains to Dante that he can speak with the sinners if he breaks one of their branches. When he does, blood sprays out of the tree like a drinking fountain!

After a brief conversation with the sinners, Dante moves on to the final section of violence, where people were violent against God. Here the sinners are punished in a desert that perpetually rains fire.

Now, not every special effect in this film is good. Because when Dante rides down to the eighth spiral on Geryon's back, it is such a stiff, unnatural, badly puppeteered marrianet that they couldn't even keep stable for the shot!

"There is a place in Hell called the Malebolge..."

Now, we get to my favorite part of the whole poem: The Spiral of Fraud. Here the deceivers are punished in a myriad of ways, depending on how they lied to others.

In the first Spiral of the Malebolge, those who pander towards others are mercilessly whipped for all eternity. This marks the first appearance of the classic image of the winged demons that we all know and love.

In the second spiral, the flattererers bathe in a stagnant pond of their own feces and vomit. This symbolizes the value of the words that they spew at other people. I think this might be where the expression, "You're full of shit," came from. Think about it; you say that to people whom you think are lying to you, and this is in the Spiral of Fraud.

Incidentally, this punishment was referenced in a Turkish horror film called Baskin -- a film about a small group of off-duty police officers who crash their car and wake up in Hell. In that film, the main characters realize they're in Hell when they find demon raping someone, while shoving her face in a bowl of her own face and vomit. Baskin is not a part of this HC, so I'll have to talk about it later. For now, I'll just say it's one of the best horror films I've ever seen!

In the third spiral, those who joined the Catholic Church for their own personal gain are buried head first, with their feet sticking out in the air.

In the fourth spiral, fortune tellers have their heads turned backwards. This prevents them from looking forward, symbolizing their attempts to see into the future.

In the fifth spiral, the sinners are repeatedly dipped in boiling tar. This scene is especially interesting because it shows that the demons we see aren't actually monsters. They're just creatures doing their jobs, punishing sinners. In fact one of the demons named Malecoda assigns a group of demons to help escort Dante and Virgil through the rest of the Malebolge. That, unfortunately, doesn't work out, however, because the demons are distracted by a sinner trying to escape, so Dante and Virgil move on alone. What's also unfortunate, is that other demons, who assume that Virgil and Dante are also sinners trying to escape, chase them into the next spiral. Luckily, each demon is confined to their own spiral, so they can't keep chasing them.

In the sixth spiral, the hypocrites are forced to wear robes made of solid gold. They also find Caiaphas nailed to the ground. As someone who has Jesus Christ Superstar on his top three list of favorite albums, I was happy to see Caiaphas get referenced.

In the seventh spiral, the thieves are bound by snakes, whose venom causes them to burn to ashes. One thief in particular gets attacked by a giant lizard that makes him into a lizardman (someone tell Alex Jones).

In the ninth spiral, the sowers of discord are viciously mutilated. My favorite part about this scene is that it's one of the first instances of gore in a horror movie. The prophet Muhammad has been cloven from his belly to his throat with his guts spilling out all over the place. That's right! Muhammad is depicted in the Inferno. Not only that, but Gustave Dore drew him. Damn. Dante has no chill. Hey, the founder of the most homophobic religion in the world rots in eternal Hell? I'm not complaining! This kinda makes up for the portrayal of suicide victims.

In the tenth spiral, the falsifiers are punished with enternal leprosy.

At last, we make it to the Spiral of Treachery, at the center of the earth. Here, the traitors are frozen within the Lake Cocytus.

Finally, at the climax of this horrific epic, we see Satan, and it's not what you're expecting! He is in the very center of the lake, frozen up to his waist in ice, and forced to eat the three greatest traitors of all. His body is covered in course fur, and he has three heads and six wings. Satan's appearance in this story is disarming and almost pathetic in a way. You'd imagine Satan to be this fearsome king, but he's just shown to be suffering like everyone else. It's kind of sad, really.

The film ends with Dante and Virgil climbing down Satan's leg fur and ending up at the base of Mount Purgatory.

L'Inferno is one of the first true masterpieces of horror! It's hard to believe that this movie is almost 110 years old! Just think of how it would have been to see it in theaters for the first time when it was new. We owe it to this film for proving the language of Cinema could be used to tell the most epic stories possibly conceived.

Well, for starters, in Go Nagai's original manga, the character Asuka Ryo implies that Dante's Divine Comedy might have been based on a true story. This is futher validated when the demon Xenon appears and bears a strong resemblance to Dante's description of Satan. But beyond the surface-level details, let's discuss some of the deeper implications of what Hell actually is. Within this headcanon, the Afterlife is an entirely separate dimension, occupying the same space as our Earth, but invisible to our eyes. There is a way, however, to see and explore this separate dimension. You see, when different dimensions intersect at certain angles, they sometimes leave gaps through which we can come through and cross over to the other dimension. It was through one of these gaps that Virgil was able to find Dante. These angles and gaps between dimensions will be further explored in a later film.
