I'm back! Took a couple of weeks vacation with a couple of friends up in Scotland and London after a business trip, and now returned to tropics before it got far too cold for me (though much to my disappointment, we missed the snow; would have loved to see some snow). Nevertheless, really really enjoyed ourselves, and I am especially in love with Skye! It's a beautiful part of the country and a joy to drive around. I ended up sketching this boi right here in the cabin we stayed up there, and now that I'm back, what else is there to do but paint it?

SO: I have this headcanon (which I cannot remember for the life of me if it’s something I completely made up or if he has a notebook in LU/his game-) that Warriors has a journal that he carries around with him pretty much everywhere. It’s not his first one, he has several he’s already completed filled out that are locked up somewhere secret back home, but these journals have EVERYTHING in them

These journals started out as places to take notes when he’d first joined the army and was getting a little bit of an education, he didn’t want to forget anything so he wrote it all down. Then they were just PAPER, something he could use to write letters to home, but as everything started happening the things these letters contained weren’t things he could tell his family and they never got sent or torn out of the journals. They didn’t necessarily contain military secrets (not at this point), just things he couldn’t tell another soul but he couldn’t continue to keep in his head. He needed to get it OUT, so he wrote it down in his native language that no one around him really understands so that information and those thoughts were safe. If anyone DID get a hold of those books they’d never understand it, and they’d at the very least be significantly slowed down because they’d have to take the time to translate it. The writing is cramped and frantic and the pages are tear stained in his more letter like entries and it’s damn near illegible at times, but its a way for him to just get it OUT so he can shove it away

Some of the journals from the war have pages torn out, completely or with just enough page left to read a little of the words on them. Those missing pages were burned and forgotten, they held memories Warriors himself can’t recall anymore. There’s a reason they’re gone

These journals are something he’s always kept on him, since the age of 16, and eventually he started using them for MORE than just to write letters that would never be sent, he started using them once again for notes. For strategies and plans and details of war. Battles planned out, notes for fellow soldiers, what worked what didn’t, documentation of battles won and lost. Some of these pages were translated and written out in neat, perfect handwriting and turned over to Zelda after the war to be preserved in history books, others to be used to better the army

Every page is dated, but the journals arent sectioned into “letters” and “notes”. If he wants information he has to scroll through and look for the date it was written, everything’s mixed together, separated by quick, harsh lines of ink between blocks of text

These books contain the hopes and dreams of a teenage boy, detailed analyses of the hyrulian army, the rage of a young man, ramblings of someone who felt truly broken, burned memories, meticulously sketched out fields with hastily drawn troop positions, a doodle or two from Mask

But more recently: In addition to this, one he keeps on him currently contains notes on the others. At first their weak points and important information about them ranging anywhere from “Wind has a peanut allergy” to “Don’t mention goats around Twi unless you have time to listen to him yap”. In those first weeks these notes could certainly be interpreted as him planning to do wrong, but that was never his intent. He has notes on his fellow soldiers weaknesses from his own era because he’s so used to studying people and helping them grow. He SHARES these notes with them, not that they can read them, but he tells them what he notices in a kind way and helps them improve and marks their progress

These books ARE his brain, he’s a damn genius who can’t organize his thoughts. He needs to see it all in a physical way in order to process it, though he’s not so stupid as to mention anything in these books that could be used to take down the queen, even if they are in another language. He’s not going to risk it

Julian ends up with Portia's body - and boy is he mad every time he thinks he catches someone looking at his precious sister's face the wrong way. This totally has nothing to do with the fact that he's well over a foot shorter than he usually is. Or that his permanent tragic-hero expression looks so out of place on his sunshine sister's face

Asra ends up with Lucio's body - and takes full advantage of the opportunities. Doing the chicken dance in the town square. Getting "no ragrats" permanently inked across their chest in giant lettering. Telling everyone he meets that he's attracted to goats. Eating seven bowls of beans and then taking a laxative right before switching back

Nadia ends up with Asra's body - which doesn't sound too crazy at first, until you remember that this is a body that normally stays in the shadows. It can be a lot harder to give an authoritative command and wrangle a stubborn noble into paying their workers fairly when it's coming from someone who's all chill vibes and airy suggestions

Muriel ends up with Nadia's body - and oh, is it a strange sight to watch Nadia's smooth face twist into a flustered scowl every time someone approaches him calling for the Countess! He's almost too afraid to move for fear of messing up the fine clothes she has on, but it's nice to be able to walk through a door without smacking his head

Portia ends up with Muriel's body - depending on who you ask, it was either a total success or complete disaster. She almost brought back rumors of the Scourge with all the fun she had exacting justice on every creep in the South End. On the plus side, she realized how hard it was to dress such a large body and made him a new wardrobe

Lucio ends up with Julian's body - and spent most of the day cursing at the poor doctor for being so frustratingly, enjoyably tall. How is he supposed to replicate this feeling with mere heeled boots?? He did at one point see Asra in his own body, which resulted in the visual of a furious plague doctor chasing a giggling ex-count through the streets

Chapter 132: Delinquents Track Meet

The art style here looks so cool. I love how it looks like it was drawn with a brush and ink. Just with this sneak preview, we already know Zuma is super cool and possibly haunted by or using the powers of a kasa-obake (umbrella monster). Aaaaaa I can't wait to see my boy again!

Also the glasses delinquent makes his debut. He is my goat. I have been obsessed with him since day one. I need to know everything about him. Tatsu please feature him beyond this current arc.

just going to dot point dump information so here you go! I'm also planning on writing a longer fic thats superhero AU based with some of these concepts, so look out for that :D

Every "smp" is a different timeline/universe, and they are all technically happening at the same time

Watchers are capable of "slipping" through these universes and experiencing them at will, while maintaining knowledge of the others

Grian, as a Watcher, sees people he likes and goes "you're with me now <3" and inflicts this power on them (without asking or telling)

Watchers are not evil, but their morals are skewed a little due to not seeing their people and deaths as final

When dead in any timeline, a character has their memory restored of all timelines. They are, technically, momentarily on the same level as a Watcher, but without the power to move into their other worlds. Similarly, they do not particularly care about death bc they are aware they will reawaken alive in another timeline (although they don't know that when alive)

"Slippage" refers to Gem’s knowledge and memory of her friends blending together over multiple universes (in this, mainly hermitcraft and wild life, but also some neutral worlds and a superhero one)

The water thing is about her base in hermitcraft s10!

Martyn as a Listener is aware of other timelines and can basically glean knowledge of them by listening into the communal stream of consciousness. He does not have a good time with this and pities Gem immensely for getting caught up in it all

Grian doing all this makes him basically the serial adopter of Watchers. You have no choice, you are Family now. This consists of himself, Gem, Cleo (i have my reasons), Jimmy (well not quite, but he's getting there), and Martyn as a kind of estranged cousin who does not want to come to family dinners

The red light at the top of the skyscraper is blinking at the rate of how many people have died so far. The third blink after her conversation with Martyn symbolises his death, and the nearly constant light at the end shows that everyone has died (bar Joel)

Deer Gem, mountain goat Joel (siblings), not-quite-avian-anymore Grian, moth Pearl, candlestick lookin' ass Tango, Etho is actually made of stone (homunculus type deal), extremely normal boy Martyn, bunny Lizzie

Important for you to know that a female rabbit and deer are both called a doe, so Joel fondly refers to his sister and his wife as his does (little guy standing between two very protective women)

At the top of his dinky little tower, Gem watches as Grian prepares for a funeral. She’s not sure who died, but he doesn’t seem too upset about it, so she doesn’t ask. Sanctity of death, and all. He tosses clothes to the side, muttering to himself. Without his shirt, she can see the tattoo on his back, the skeletal remnants of his wings poking through the skin. She can tell where his hands would have to lay to line it all up, squares inked on his palms like supplication.

Next to her, Mumbo swings his legs like a child.

“Think he’ll say anything? He’ll be mad when he comes back if Grian doesn’t.”

“What, like a eulogy?”

“Yeah, you know, honour the dead.” He elbows her side, cracking a grin. She smiles back wryly.

“I don’t think you’re honorable at all, Mumbo.”

He laughs genially, mock-bowing as far as he can while sitting on a bed.

“Dead or alive,” she adds for good measure, lips twitching as his giggles taper off.

Grian’s got a black blazer on, shirt unbuttoned, no tie in sight. He’s running his hands through his hair, peering out the window every time he passes, as if he was expecting to see some parade of chaos happening way down below the skyscraper.

“Which are you, Gem?”

“I’m always honorable, you know that.”

The elevator dings brightly, and Grian runs in, somehow looking worse for wear every second.

“Not exactly what I was talking about, but sure.” Mumbo smiles at the closing doors. “Want to see who turns up and cries?”

“Nah.” The ceiling is blurring slightly. “I should go to bed.”

“Aren’t you already?”

Stone slips to hardwood. It blurs together every time she blinks, like she’s drunk, like she’s floating. She remembers dying like this, once.

She’ll do it again one day.

For now, she rests.

i meet death for the first time when i’m ten and understand nothing about her except a few things-

she’s taking away grandpa

she made dad cry

and i didn’t care for either of that.

what is death for a child, anyway? what is loss for someone who never knew of it? a beginning of something from the end of everything.

ii.

the next time i see her, i’m thirteen.

i think there’s something that ties me and death together so tightly. i am not the same kid i was in ten; thirteen year old me wants to see death, wants her to take me home in her gangly arms. and i do see her, but she’s not here for me. she never is.

she wears a white saree this time and her skin is embroidered with flowers from my grandpa’s garden. i scream at her to leave, just this once. but death has always been cruel, ruthless. she rips him away from my fingers and tears away a good part of my grandma’s soul, too. cruel, ruthless.

but her head hangs low as she leaves the house without meeting my eyes. the sky is blue and filled with the sound of agony when i realize: death is a coward.

after that, she never leaves me, i think. i can never see her (refer: blue skies and cowards), but she presses her icy hands against my head every night when i’m asleep. i’d wake up sobbing, breathless, screaming, screaming for what i lost. i reach my hand out to the sky and try to grab hold of him. and distantly, i wonder if she was hanging her head to hide her smile all along.

iii.

i see him again sooner than i would have liked.

i am fifteen and sadder than i’ve ever been when another beloved of mine is stolen from my arms.

i’m screaming.

this time, he wears a cloak of billowing black and hides his face with a hood. he’s the hands that hold me back as i reach out to what was once mine, alive and breathing. he’s the black i wear throughout the funeral. his eyes (critical, empty, grey) meets mine (salt-filled, miserable, brown). i think i say something to him that day- a singular word collapsing into itself.

the sound of my screams and my lucky charm shattering follows him as he walks away.

the imprints of his hands remain on my skin. the grime of his fingers colours my arms and the ice of his touch still makes me shiver.

maybe, a mortal was never meant to know the touch of death and go on living. a mortal wasn’t suppoised to bleed at their own accord and wake up smiling with no rememberance of meeting him. i have been tainted by death and it has driven me insane, mother. will you sing me a lullaby and put me to sleep (forever)? would you shut out my smile with your tears every morning and wipe away all my sweet dreams from my eyelids and show me the nightmare that is my reality?

the next time i see death, i am getting ready for school. my eyes are swollen and lifeless and circled with darkness. my movements are controlled by a puppeteer inside my head and i look in the mirror and oh, i see death. i am death.

on my sixteenth birthday, death announces his presence with the sound of seashells and the smell of sanitizer filling the air.

death is a little boy standing at our door and our eyes meet (his- painted black; mine- smeared blue) and i remember what i asked him that day.

why?

and death, he cries. his ink black tears stain our floor. death and i, we are both so tired.

i’m sorry, he says but both of us know he’s not, not really. he’ll be back the next day, the next hour and every minute that follows to devour something of mine.

we’re both tired of this game of tigers and goats, death and i. but he can’t hunting and i can’t stop bleeding and please, i am so tired. can’t you find someone else to feast upon?

i wish i didn’t know the answer to that question.

Ink Beast Andrew Harper ref

(Long-ish explanation under the cut because I must yap about my boy)

Andrew Harper's ink beast form is a rather shocking thing to see for the first time. Many may believe he's the actual Ink Demon himself if they don't spot the obvious differences first. However, most usually tend to run the second they see him, so they never get a chance to look at him in all his inky glory.

Andrew's beast self may appear violent and vicious in nature, however he is usually the complete opposite. Despite his devilish features, Andrew's beast self is far more akin to a big, lazy dog than a demon. He's more keen on laying down beside his wife, Delilah, letting her pet him or lay on him if she wants. He also enjoys eating. He's got a big appetite, which makes sense, considering his larger size.

He is much smaller than the Ink Demon, though still big enough to be mistaken for him. However, despite being smaller height-wise, he is a lot bulkier than the ink demon. He is afraid of the demon, even in his beast form. He'll be out of a room in no time, with his tail tucked between his legs if he ever crosses his path.

However, he isn't always gentle. He can be aggressive if provoked. If you dare hurt his friends and or wife, he will attack you with zero hesitation. Along with this, he will also attack if you attack him. He has very sharp claws and often bites and scratches to defend himself. He has also been known to kick with his hooved legs, which will hurt. Think of it like being kicked by a horse. He can also headbutt like a goat. His horns are pretty sharp, so it is best to watch out for them as well.

Andrew is fully capable of speaking in this form. His voice is a bit more inky (Think like the ink demon's voice but a lot less creepy) He does struggle a little with his teeth in the way, so he doesn't talk too much usually. He growls and snarls at things instead. He also whines like a dog if hurt or scared.

He got this ability gifted by the dark puddles themselves. Due to his connection to Bendy and The Ink Demon, not only because he worked on the cartoons, but because he was turned into a failed clone of Joey originally, but it didn't really work. He came out with some of Bendy's features, like his horns and tail. He also came out bearing fangs, and claws. In his first few days into the cycle, the puddles gave him the ability to turn into a beast version of himself.

He used this form not only to defend himself but also to get his anger towards Joey Drew out. His beast form has been through many fights, judging by how many scars he has. A lot of these scars were caused by him getting attacked by other residents of the cycle, some believing he was The Ink Demon himself.

Andrew is by far one of my favourite OCs I have made for this AU. He was intended to be evil originally which now I could never see that, since he'd never want to put someone through the pain he went through.

Asriels Followers!!

-Context-

So- this is more UnderStretch! Lore…because I can mwah hah hah!!

Once upon a time there was a young goat boy. Son of Toriel the Sentry and Asgore the Royal Scientist. The young boy was sweet and curious as he always was learning something. Often surprising his Dad who had once been in the scientific field himself. The two loved their son very much, as well as his friends. One day two humans fell into the underground. All in the days before the royal split. So they lived their lives with Asriels family becoming closer friends. Their small group traveling everywhere together. Mk and Dummy always in tow. Everything was great…until curiosity killed the goat. Well not killed…but scattered. When playing in the core that he had helped his Father build…something odd caught his eye. A golden locket was on a lower shelf. He asked his friends to lower him down….but he slipped and fell into the core. The explosion throwing his friends back and they all vanished. With no trace that they ever existed.

Asriel was lost for a long time….

But his friends found him again.

Things changed in the underground immensely from that day.

Sketch - I wanted it to be a scene of Asriels followers telling him all about the underground and interacting together. I think they would have gab sessions since Asriel can’t see that much of the underground. Only bits and pieces. Chara of course talks the most as she had the closest bond with the goat.

Line - I went with the ink bleed pen for this one as I wanted to try doing a new style of 90s anime filter I had learned. So I wanted a more hand drawn look

Color block and alpha lock - still my least favorite part- but it was easier since the color palette was smaller

Irratino is playing a Wii exercise game. I think? He’s kind of just doing the macarena in front of a TV. There’s a ring of the doorbell. Irratino’s doorbell plays ‘Fur Elise’ when rung.

IRRATINO: Um, uh… I’m kind of in a bad… outfit right now?

The doorbell rings again. Irratino looks at his ankle monitor and panics. 

IRRATINO: Just leave it at the door!

The doorbell turns into very violent knocking.

IRRATINO: ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT JUST DON’T SHOOT!

He peers through a crack. 

LOGICO: Logico <3 IRRATINO: [happy scream]

Goat picks him up and wiggles him around.

IRRATINO: I thought you were in HOLLYWOOD! LOGICO: Alright alright SHHHH! Quiet. I’m here to get you out. IRRATINO: HUH?? But… Logico you can’t! I’m under house arrest! LOOK! LOGICO: … Just take it off then. IRRATINO: I can’t! If I try to undo it, it’ll send the police! LOGICO: Just slide it off then. IRRATINO: I can’t, it’s too tight! LOGICO: Just- IRRATINO: LOGICO

There’s a long, awkward scenario of Logico trying to get the monitor off.

LOGICO: Now, I’m going to grab hold as tight as I can and pull it off, HOLD STILL. IRRATINO: Nehhhhhhe, tickles! LOGICO: I didn’t even touch you, you idiot. Grab onto something - I’ll pull the leg out of the socket if I have to. IRRATINO: NO ONE AGREED TO THAT!!

There’s a pop, then a very loud scream. Now it’s off.

IRRATINO: Ah, thanks Logico! Come on let’s go let’s go let’s go!

They fly to Logico’s tiny crammed Hollywood apartment (They totally let Irratino on the plane without an ID). They dance like hell for two seconds. Then, they go to a newspaper company. Logico slams his little fists on the counter.

LOGICO: Midnight Movies is involved in a global conspiracy! IRRATINO: National. National conspiracy. IVORY: Yeah… uh… [khhhh] Sorry, but like… no. We need kinda evidence or something? Also it’s kinda cool you’re here because my assistant is dead. LOGICO: NO, APPLEGREEN?!?!?! IVORY: [snort] Uh, NO! Just some human.

I wonder who could have done it?

GAINSBORO: I write the newspaper! LOGICO: Hello Gainsboro. GAINSBORO: Ohhhh go away! 

Hack Blaxton is there, and though everyone knows his true identity, he still is trying to talk through the puppet. Having no mouth, he is a very good ventriloquist.

BLAXTON: I’m ready for my interviewwwww!

And finally, Champagne.

CHAMPAGNE: I’m here to see if I can unionize the workforce, and put them on the path to seizing the presses! LOGICO: Looks like we have ourselves a little murder. I couldn’t be happier to have you here, Irratino.

Goat Lord blushes and softens his cheeks. He’s such a good boi.

LOGICO: I already know Gainsboro wasn’t on the roof. GOAT: How? LOGICO: Because he can’t fly that well! GAINSBORO: [almost called him ‘Butterfly’] I… CAN… FLYYYYYYYY!! LOGICO: Right. Statements, people! CHAMPAGNE: Take it from me, a working man: I brought a- LOGICO: Everyone works, Champagne, get over your own head. NEXT! GAINSBORO: I have a Bookie, so take it from me.  A Marble bust was on the balcony. Aside from being spectacularly me, I’ve also taken up Poetry. INK: Babe-

This episode has a lot of pacing around a very bland building, which is so enticing to look at. Logico closes his eye, and hears Irratino’s voice in only his mind. It’s just so amazing to hear… 

Then he gets a text.

“Did you get my message?”

Irratino stares at him with a cheeky expression. Logico texts back.

“Yes I did, you little superstar.”

Irratino told him who did it!

It was… ivory. Guess it's not so cool Logico was there?

IVORY: It was all CHAMPAGNE-UH! He ‘radicalized’ the assistant editor! He was gonna make a UNION! So I fucking killed it.

Logico and Irratino leave, and head to a bar to sit and recollect.

LOGICO: How did you know that EXACT chain of events would happen to make me know Midnight Movies was in charge of the ruins? IRRATINO: Huh? No I didn’t. LOGICO: Then why did you send me to the magick shoppe? IRRATINO: So you’d learn to look inside yourself… and see the other side of the world. LOGICO: Why didn’t you tell me you were innocent? IRRATINO: I knew you’d never believe anything you didn’t deduce yourself… not even me. I-I felt horrible about faking my death without telling you, but there were cultists everywhere. And it was the only way I could shake them. The marot told me not to tell you. LOGICO: That is so, so, so impeccably stupid. IRRATINO: I know. I’m sorry. 

Tino looks down with genuine guilt. He looks so sad, helpless, and cute, even though he did something so wrong. And Logico has no choice but to forgive him. He kneads needs him. And he’s ‘beginning’ GL UZOO RM OLEV.

BLAXTON: THEY’RE TRYING TO BLACKMAIL ME BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHO I AM! LOGICO: Please… go fuck yourself.

Now irratino will consume logico as god intended. I'm so happy he's back!!
