Halloween Gorefest 2024

We are coming up on that time of year when the Wrestling Arsenal celebrates the bloody, gory style of pro wrestling that was popular in the pre-AIDS 1970s and early 80s. To be a pro wrestler in those days meant to cut open your own forehead and let blood pour down your face. This was meant to shock and titillate the audience.

We kick off Halloween Gorefest #XIV with this image of a von Erich brother wearing the dreaded Crimson Mask, his blood-soaked face matching his scarlet trunks. His concerned brother Kevin tries to console and protect him. This illustrates their dedication to providing the audience with a believable and pitiable depiction of suffering, slaughter, and humiliation.

NORTON swears up and down he's done nothing worthy of him deserving you.

The way your thumb grazes his knuckles in a comforting manner--whether to soothe your own nerves or his is unsure-- but the expression of innocence coated on your face both makes his heart sink to his stomach and gives him butterflies.

You have the eyes of someone who has gazed at few possible traumatic scenarios and the skin of one who not been lashed by the harsh truths of the world. He squishes down his feeling of envy when he feels he's going too far down the rabbit hole of his thoughts.

But now, as he bandages up your wound from the cold Night Watch, he can't help but realize how that weighs you down. It wasn't supposed to be you with the gash in your thigh it was supposed to be the teammate you wasted no time saving. You took a hit for them, and for what? So they could have a futile 5 seconds to run as fast as they could only for the harsh winter wind to yank them back to the hunter? You we're such a fool, having so much faith in these people.

But that's what led you two to become such a power couple. You gave him a chance.

"Norton-"

"Hush up, doll." And you do just that.

He looks angry and you feel nervous because of it.

"I'm sorry for getting injured." You mumble quietly. You don't expect a 'Its fine' or a 'Its not your fault' because this was a rookie mistake and you by no means are a rookie.

He remains silent, finishing up dressing your wound. His gloved hands go to hold your thighs as you sit in some corner of burned down building in the Arms Factory.

"Don't do that again." He states. Its not up for debate and you silently nod, moving to give his forehead a kiss as you steady yourself to get up and work on getting out of here.

NORTON CAMPBELL; Fools Gold (Hunter Identity)

"Hm, shame. Really."

Fools Gold let out a teasing laugh as he shoved you into a chair. He leaned on the wall behind it as you glared up at him. Fools gold clicked his tongue (does he even have one??) and fake pouted, most likely mocking you.

"D'aw, don't look at me like that, Babyface. You wouldn't be like this if you didn't sacrifice yourself for that silly little seer."

At least he was brutally honest.

Your muscles are screaming at you and you can feel them throbbing after you spent the last 2 minutes running and jumping and rolling to get away from him.

He traces your jawline with his pickaxe, you can feel your face heat up as Fools Gold lets out a wheezing chuckle. "All bark huh?"

You try to stutter out a response not until you see the ground beside you break. This was going to take a while.

Punkintyre; a twisted love story

As anyone who follows my blog knows, I like posting my headcanons and LOVE posting about Punkintyre, and yet the two have never met... until now! This will be very long and probably split into different parts as I have a lot to say about them. So sit, back, relax and enjoy.

***Please note; this is all my own personal headcanons just for a bit of fun***

Punkintyre, at its core, is a story of obsession, possession and hate. Fiercely passionate hate. The kind of hate that consumes the soul entirely, and once it has destroyed the vessel, it goes on to destroy everything else around it.

But above all, to me, the essence of Punkintyre is that it's a story of unrequited love.

To understand this better, let's look at the players in this ship;

Drew McIntyre - 'You complete me!'

By the close of 2023, Drew was already a good girl gone bad. Having been a popular babyface for years, his attitude had noticeably changed after a series of disappointing losses, becoming more aggressive, ruthless and caring only about himself. The crowd didn't like this new direction and were rapidly turning on him.

Then hell froze over! CM Punk made his glorious return.

And Drew had an epiphany! Here was a true villain, a man currently looming beneath a large, dark cloud. A cancer. A disease, threatening to infect the WWE with his sickness. At the Royal Rumble, he targeted Punk and injured him, putting him out on the shelf for months. Drew basked in his triumph, calling himself the Saviour of Wrestlemania and waited with anticipation for his flowers. Because, if there was one thing that was guaranteed, it was that everybody hated Punk far more than they hated Drew.

Except... they didn't! The mindless drones had already been swayed by the lies of the wolf in sheep's clothing, had already fallen for Punk and his cult of personality. Drew made it his mission to wake them up; to rip that smiling mask off of Punk's face and expose the putrid flesh beneath, show them all the monster that Punk truly was.

To do this, he used the same weapon that caused Punk's downfall in AEW; social media. He constantly mocked and prodded at Punk, hoping to elicit a reaction from the notoriously thin-skinned veteran. He got plenty; but only from the fans. Not from the one he craved! So he pushed harder. Vandalised his signature ringer tee, used Punk's own move set, his entrance, visited his favourite bakery in his beloved hometown and bought him muffins.

Soon, he found himself flying high. His popularity had taken a massive up-swing, tongues were wagging, people were sitting up and listening, waiting on tender hooks for his next move. So he fed them, more and more. Taking pot shots at Punk every opportunity he could on every platform at his disposal.

Until Punk had become something else. Something more. Sitting cross-legged on the announce desk opposite the man who had made that particular taunt famous, Drew called him 'my muse', telling Punk that 'you complete me'. And it wasn't a word of a lie. He now needed Punk, needed him like a crutch to lean on. Needed to feed that hate.

Somewhere along the line, Drew's mission had become an obsession. Not for his goal of exposing the man, but for the man himself!

He didn't want to love Punk...

..he needed to!

CM Punk - 'I love you because you love me!'

Punk, meanwhile, is the not-so-innocent innocent in all of this. Punk never wanted all this attention from Drew, calling him 'an ex-girlfriend that I can't get rid of' yet he's the one who's responsible for making Drew's unhealthy infatuation even worse.

Drew accused Punk of being a 'succubus', a sex demon that seduces men and sucks the em... 'life', shall we say, out of them. The metaphor fits well. Punk has a way of seducing those around him, both in the crowd and in the back, sometimes even to the point of insanity (a certain Maxwell Jacob Friedman immediately comes to mind!). Punk fans affectionally refer to it as Punk Derangement Syndrome.

Punk once told a crowd 'I love you because you love me'. He lives for the adoration! He feeds off of the spotlight and the attention it affords him, soaking up any and all reactions from the crowd. Cheer him, boo him, love him, hate him; so long as it's loud, he'll take it. Unlike Cody who struggled with the hate at AEW, Punk faced against the waves and waves of boos battering him from all sides with a shit-eating grin on his face, doing his worst to up the noise even more.

And this is precisely why he just can't drop this petty tit-for-tat with Drew. The man's obsession with him is feeding Punk, and while his attention is a nuisance at best - and dangerous at worst - it's just not in Punk's nature to be the bigger man and let it die. He has to keep poking the bear even if it might tear his face off (which, it eventually does, but we'll get to that Smackdown later).

And so the players are locked into battle. Neither of them willing participants but their respective obsessions have honed in on one another, fingers on the trigger and aching to fire, neither taking heed of who they hurt along the way.

You know what scene always is just a complete gut punch for reminding me exactly how young Lexa was?

She is so unbearably babyfaced here it always makes my chest want to cave in. Because her eyes are heavy and you can feel the exhaustion rolling off of her, and yet still she sits vigil so that Clarke can sleep. She's injured and she's just had to run for her life after thinking several times that it was her last moments, and she just... moved on from it. Kept going. Was steady and in control, because it didn't even faze her anymore. She's so achingly young that she still has the baby fat of adolescence rounding out her cheeks, and yet she's carried the yoke of leadership for so long already that to her it's just a given that she'd stay awake and watch over the other girl to keep her safe. Because everyone else's needs come first. That's just who Lexa is, and who Heda has to be. And she's still just a damn baby in the grand scheme of things. Destroys me every time

The day after The Stabbing Incident in which Ichigo's Shinigami Powers were activated, Lunchtime:

"Rukia!" Ichigo called from the door. "We got a club meeting!"

"What? Oh, right!" She giggled, all bubbly persona, which immediately vanished in the hall "-You signed me up for a club? Ichigo, you know I don't have time for extracurriculars!"

"Calm down, this one doesn't assign homework. We just meet on the roof for lunch." He explained, marching resolutely against the stream of traffic in the hall.

"Oh? Up to something illicit are you?" Rukia teased, ducking behind him to avoid being swept away.

"Nah, we just meet on the roof so Kon can join us." Ichigo shrugged kicking open the door to the roof.

" 'SUP NERDS!" Ichigo bellowed affectionately at the gaggle of teenagers already assembled on the roof. "Okay Rukia, this is the "I Can See Ghosts And It fucking Sucks Club", guys, this is Rukia."

"Hi miss Rukia!" Waved a readheaded girt that puberty had hit like a truck.

"-Rukia is a shinigami like the freak that used to live in my dad's attic, and last night one of those bigass monster ghosts attacked my fuckin' house and Rukia kinda accidentally-on-purpose stabbed me and now I got fuckin' shinigami powers, which is mostly being able to ditch my body and summon a bigass sword to kill the monster ghosts with."

Those assembled stared at him in silence.

There was a rattle and Kon appeared at the top of the chain-link fence around the roof. "You know Ichigo, I think I know why your Literature class grades suck." the cat sighed. "Rukia got injured and used her magic sword to transfer her powers to Ichigo to fight off the hollow, and accidentally gave him too much and now she's stuck here until the Shinigami skills bleed back out of Ichigo."

"Ohhhhh..." the group nodded.

"-By stabbing me." Added Ichigo. "I feel like the stabbing part is being lowballed here."

"Welp. time to reset the counter." Sighed a lightly disheveled young man with brown hair, and the youthful looking lad with black hair beside him opened his laptop, typed for a few seconds and then turned the screen to show the group a digital counter that read

DAYS SINCE OUR LAST SUPERNATURAL NONSENSE AND/OR GRIEVOUS BODILY INJURY: 0

Previous streak: 17.324 Days.

"Thanks. Very helpful." Sighed Ichigo. "Tweedle Dee and tweedle Dumbass here are Mizurio and Keigo."

Ichigo pointed to the brunette. "Keigo here comes from a long-ass line of psychics and has been documenting every instance of supernatural activity in Karkura town going back to the middle ages since he was like. Ten? Don't let the fact that he's deliberately failing out of school fool you, he's probably the world's most brilliant moron."

"Iiiiiichigoooo, why you gotta make me sound like a loser in front of the actual-factual ghost girl?" Keigo whined.

"I'll stop making you sound like a loser when you stop being a loser." Ichigo huffed, and pointed to the black-haired youth beside him. "Babyface McGee here is Mizurio, he's our other technology geek, and he can cast Summon Gun."

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Rukia!" Mizurio said, extending his hand politely. "If you need some armament against the- what did you say they were called? Hollows? - I can provide you with something. First one's on the house, as my Uncle says."

"Oh!" Laughed Rukia. "By 'summon gun' you mean you have a way of purchasing weapons! I thought for a second you had the magical ability to spontaneously manifest guns or something ridiculous like that!"

The group collectively grimaced at her, except for the silent Giant, who was too busy snuggling Kon.

"Have you ever fired a weapon like a handgun Miss Rukia?" Mizurio asked holding his hand up beside his head, as though holding up an invisible object.

"Uh." Said Rukia, staring at his hand. ""...No."

"In that case I'm going to reccomend a Glock-17 lightweight pistol-" Mizurio nodded, and a small, bright blue light ignited in his palm, swirling and drawing Reishi into it, forming a physical object.

"-it's very reliable and easy to sight accurately, and doesn't have much of a kickback so I'm confident you'll only need a little practice to be able to handle it reliably!" He smiled cheerfully as the object finished manifesting in his hand, and he easily unloaded it with a practiced motion, set the saftey out of habit and offered it to Rukia to inspect.

"UH." Said Rukia, recoiling from the weapon with alarm.

"Oh don't worry!" Mizurio chirped. "Any gun that I make- And I make them, not summon them- has infinite ammo once the clip is loaded, and it's perfectly effective against hollows! You'll be perfectly fine using it!"

"I- You- I mean-" Rukia sputtered, staring wide-eyed at the gun. "-Did you. Learn? to do this?"

"Hm-..." Mizurio frowned at the gun. "Well, I've gotten better at it over time, but it's not like anyone taught me, if that's what you mean."

"Uh-huh." Rukia nodded, teeth bared in an attempt at a smile that completely failed. "You. Uh. You got any German ancestry?"

"Oh, I wouldn't know!" Mizurio laughed. "I don't actually know who my father is, and I strongly suspect he doesn't know his father either! Why?"

"...Mizurio, I think you're a Quincy."

Downstairs in the lunchtime meeting of the Karkura High School Crafts Club, Uryuu Ishida sneezed in the middle of a demonstration of different stitch types, and knocked over a large bottle of glitter, coating the entire room.

"...That's a bad omen if I ever saw one." Muttered one of the girls, sparkling.

"What's a Quincy?" Mizurio asked.

"It's a- Okay, before I start an explanation, is there anyone else here with weird supernatural powers?" Rukia asked.

There was a whirl of energy behind her and she turned to see the Silent Giant that had been cradling Kon had manifested a strange, sleek armor over his right arm. Kon was still cradled like a very spoiled infant in his left arm, purring.

"Hi. I'm Sado Yasutora, but I go by Chad." he spoke, voice barely above a mumble as he cautiously peeked up at Rukia through his bangs. "This is my punchin' arm."

"...Great." Whimpered Rukia.

Event: 2 Tiny Troublemakers and 2 Little Angles

You went to visit the Nijiue siblings for one reason or another. Since Iroha wasn’t home, you thought she would be with her siblings. You had checked every room except for May’s. Since it was the only room left, it has to be where they are right? As soon as you opened the door, you saw four kids. A messy brown-haired girl with the underside of her hair dyed blue; wearing a burned, torn, stained oil white dress. She was bruised and had burns on her body.

There was a girl with brown hair that faded red, she was wearing shorts and a tank top with no tattoos. She had a lot more bruises and cuts on her body than the others. The boy had his shoulder-length hair split into two colours, brown like the others and green. He was the least injured of the four. He only had a few bruises and that’s it. The last girl had brown hair and was in a green dress. She was bruised just like the rest and had a bleeding nose. She was also the only one hiding from you. The red one got up and ready to fight as the blue one stood in front of them, shielding the rest from you. These kids were the siblings, but how did this happen? 

Do you say something to them?

Generally speaking the storytelling for RAW was pretty bad in 2007. So I found it so interesting that they had Cody Rhodes begging acting-GM Jon Coachman not to let John Cena's father fight Randy Orton, reminding him that his own father was attacked and injured by Orton, and even asking to be put in the match in Mr. Cena's place.

Coachman refused (though how he resisted those premium puppy-dog eyes I have no idea) but Cody interrupted the match anyway to (unsuccessfully) try and save Mr. Cena. True babyface.

Rewatching old RAW from 2020 and it’s so interesting to see how the Randy vs Drew feud went down because there wasn’t that much intensity behind it so when they announced their Hell in a Cell match I just sat there like huh neato. But seeing how differently (and WELL) built the Punk vs. Drew feud was handled leading up to HIAC and all the emotion and excellent promos and hatred behind it is incredible. The difference is literally night and day (and Drew and CM Punk have chemistry for days compared to Randy vs. Drew).

Of course one has to factor in that the Orton vs. Macintyre feud feels like it was a lot shorter (I haven't checked to see how long it lasted but it definitely doesn't feel like 10-11 months' worth of content) and of course there was different leadership at the time AND it was in the Covid Thunderdome era so of course all that impacted the show heavily but it still has to be noted how much better one feud was executed over the other.

Also “I’m Randy fucking Orton and I demand the WHC title for the 13th time because I say so” is much much much less compelling as an opponent for Drew over “you injured me and halted my career for several months, then stole something precious from me and mocked my family, thus invoking the pettiest fucking man in the roster. It’s fucking go time.”

In 2020 Drew was a huge babyface, having come back and proven himself as worthy of champion status. He was a fighting champion and let anyone who wanted a shot at the title to try. He'd had his own irl hero's journey to make his way back to the WWE and got along with most of the roster and seemed well-liked by most. He was cocky but honorable and booked like a beast.

In 2023-24 so far he’s the broken down, deeply bitter, deeply angry man who’s been disillusioned by everything that’s happened to him to the point he’s turned into the opposite of what he once was. It’s been absolutely fascinating to go through the archives and see how he is such an opposite of who he used to be. He’ll blame everyone but himself for the challenges he’s faced and each loss he’s taken. He’s so determined to get back the gold, he’s blinded to everything else and doles out destruction wherever he goes. And Punk brings out the worst in him and he brings out the worst in Punk. They're holding up mirrors to each other fighting over who gets to say they've been wronged the most. They had months of slowburn where Punk was out injured and it was just Drew in the ring with a mic and it still delivered. And (though I haven't watched the Drew/Orton HIAC yet) at this point, having watched (and gone insane over the punkintyre HIAC match) I don't think anything can compare to that at this point.

There's more I could and would like to add to this but I've rambled beyond the point I set out to make so I'll cut myself off here.

(Must add the caveat that I know there are huge swaths of lore and character developments I'm missing from 2019+2021-23 and everything behind that. I only started watching WWE in March of this year and have picked through content to watch and learn from over on Youtube and Peacock. Currently I'm only focusing on all the RAW 2020 episodes but will continue in chronological order and maybe do the same for Smackdown starting in 2020 at a later date. There just...so much to get through... @-@)

adamjf are in a weird position rn where they're kind of back to where they were back in june 2023 before they were a team. face adam, heel max. even though adam was the one doing the backstabbing. but max has also done some pretty heinous shit since then, which he explicitly blamed on adam, so adam has even more blood on his hands than just max's. except for being injured, what actually makes him a babyface right now? i guess trying to stop max/put down the monster he created? i have no doubt he'll have to confront the sins of his own past sooner rather than later and things are gonna get murky pretty fast.

So let's recap the Better Than You BayBay Saga so far and see who makes sense as the Devil and what the potential plan was before Cole's injury:

PHASE ONE: ALL IN

● Before the match at Wembley Adam insists on teaming up with Max to win the ROH tag belts, some people especulate that Adam is doing this to weaken MJF for the main event, but nothing happens in the match and they win despite many people's prediction.

● At the main event they both wrestle like their usual self before the double pin, only after that Adam gets frustrated and tries to win through nefarious means, he has couple of chances to beat Max up with the belt or low blow him, he even had hit Max with a belt in their first match despite being a babyface, here the first time Roddy comes out to help him he doesn't cheat.

● After the match Max throws his world title aside to calm Adam down, he very explicitly picks Adam over the most important thing in his life, and when Cole doesn't even look him in the eyes, Max gets angry, throwing the world title at Adam and proves once again that he cares about their friendship more than the belt.

● This is where Roddy comes and yells at Cole to hit Max with the title, but despite his history, Cole doesn't betray MJF. This could mean 2 things:

1. Cole sees his own benefit in staying with MJF.

2. He genuinely cares about Max

-> His previous action of refusing to cheat in the match is a proof that the second option is more likely but again, he might still be the same bastard as he he was before only that Max is really growing on him and Adam just simply respects their relationship enough to not fuck it up by cheating.

PHASE TWO: GRAND SLAM

● The Dynamite following All In, Roddy and Kingdom call Adam selfish and opportunitist (rightfully considering his background) and Adam just stands there talking about friendship and says he is a better person now and says Max is his best friend for the first time.

● On the built to Grand Slam, Roddy continuously tries to manipulate Adam by his fake injury. We see Adam by Max’s side whenever he's there, and Joe hurts Adam to get to Max. Everything's is very normal post All In.

● Before the main event of Grand Slam Adam gets a call from Roddy, and doesn’t show up to help Max until half through the match, people assume that Cole is playing Max by leaving him.

● So Adam shows up, and the two win by cheating. Again, why would Adam want Max to win by helping him? not to mention this contradics the possibility of Cole not showing up with Max to mess their plans up.

There are two possibilities:

1. He sees Joe as the tougher opponent and wants to keep Max as the champion, thinking he would win if he gets another chance.

2. Adam really cares about Max and is helping him to win.

-> The first option seems like a stretch since later Cole pushes Max to accept Joe's help in exchange for a title shot. Again, there are two possibilities here:

1. He wants Max to lose to Joe (why he helped him at Grand Slam then).

2. He doesn't want Max to be alone while he is injured and helpless himself.

PHASE THREE: FULL GEAR

● Immediately after Adam announce his severe ankle injury Roddy comes out asking for help again, Cole gets 'kidnapped' for several weeks and after he leaves that house he doesn't want to do anything with Roddy and Kingdom, so if they all are in one group why Adam is getting bullied in these segments?

1. They all are in one group clowning around as Max is left alone being attacked left and right.

2. Adam is genuinely a good person and wants to help Roddy not knowing they are abusing him.

-> I can't find a strong justification for Comedic Skits discontinuation besides:

1. They were getting creatively lame.

2. In kayfabe, Adam realizes Roddy is full of shit.

-> I mean, the second option also makes sense since he doesn't want to talk to Roddy every time Roddy tries to get his attention. But it all still can be an act while they work together behind the scene.

● Full Gear comes around, and Max gets distracted by Cole at ringside as The Gunns attack him to take him out of the match, probably knowing the 'clause in the contract'.

There are two possibilities here:

1. Adam is working with Jay White and helps them injure Max before the main event.

2. He does nothing wrong, and Gunns just use MJF's distraction to weaken him.

● Lots of nonsense happen here. They say there's a clause in the match contract that says Jay White becomes the champion if Max is incapable of wrestling. Adam sacrifices himself and stops this from happening by representing Max in the main event.

-> This contradicts the theory of Adam working with Jay White, so we got that out of the way, too.

● In the main event Max shows up driving an ambulance, selling his injury, in the match Adam tries to help Max cheat by giving him the Dynamite Diamond Ring and ROH tag belts, but the two objects end up in Jay White's possession. Let's assume Adam is fucking up Max on purpose again. This theory contradics with the fact that Adam stoped the belt being handed to Jay by volunteering to represent MJF in the match, unless he was going to lay there and take the pin since he is injured.

-> So this is all an overelaborated plan to strip Max of his title at the end, and Adam is working with Jay.

Ru Quan as the King's shadow and Ren Ping as the Second Prince's bodyguard had a rough start to their relationship. While Ru Quan had to make sure that the Second Prince was neither a danger to the King nor tried to usurp the throne, Ren Ping had to make sure that his lord stayed safe and was not spied on. Constantly aware of each other's presence and trying to thwart off each other's plans, the two men hated the guts of the other but also could never get the other out of their head. While Ren Ping at some point started to realize that he has fallen for Ru Quan's babyface good looks, Ru Quan didn't realize until Ren Ping was injured during an assassination attempt on the Second Prince and Ru Quan went wild, shouting "Don't you dare touching something that is mine!" Nowadays, the two men have formed a truce, tolerating the duties of their partner unless the Imperial brothers become a true danger for each other, which they hope will never happen.

Ronda calling out Logan’s special treatment is so audacious considering all that her booking ruined. Her reckless nature injured Alexa and ruined Alexa's dream match at Evolution, her championship run killed Nia Jax's babyface run that challenged body shaming, she dropped the ratings on Total Divas into cancellation, took away Sasha’s Rumble/Mania and drove her from the company, ruined Liv’s reign…. Girl, YOU were the problem

So what are my hopes and dreams for Clash at the Castle tomorrow night?

Well, I’m definitely in the camp of ‘Punk costs Drew the match then Gallus debut and get Punk’ but this is exactly how I would like it.

Drew warned Punk not to come to Scotland as ‘there’s a good chance you’ll get jumped and the security will help jump you, if you get involved in my match’. While this a bit of a Scottish in-joke, I’m also hoping for some foreshadowing here so;

Drew and Priest have a banger of a match. Drew is babyfacing it up, he has the crowd behind him, he looks like he’s finally redeeming himself

Judgement Day gets involved despite the stipulation. Drew fights them off bravely - crowd are lapping it up.

Drew looks certain to win it but-

Punk interferes and costs him the match!

Drew is incensed. Punk, after taunting him on the commentary table, hops onto the barricade a la 2011 MITB and blows Drew a kiss

But over his should we see a security guard in black turn around. It’s Wolfgang! And Punk hasn’t spotted him.

Wolfgang slams Punk to the floor then suddenly he’s swarmed by two other security guards - Joe and Mark Coffey! All of Gallus are here!

They drag a dazed and injured Punk to the ring into the waiting arms of a deliriously delighted Drew who is sporting the most evil grin across his face

They give Punk a brutal beating - handcuff him, chair shot him, kendo stick him, whatever it takes to batter and break him. Make him bleed. The beating is so brutal that even the home crowd turn on Drew despite their earlier devotion.

The PPV ends with Drew and his boys standing over Punk’s lifeless body with the crowd booing loudly. Drew is now an established heel and his feud with Punk has turned even nastier. Hopefully Punk is healed and can be more involved in the build up to their match at Summerslam.

So, that’s my take. Might be completely wrong but who knows - we’ll wait and see!
