Sol and Varadian are staring down Ingo, who looks at them nervously, and Emmet, who is grumping. In the background, Jacke waves happily, clueless. July is "law of intertia au :>" and shows Ingo, Emmet, and Akari. Ingo is in the center, head bowed forward as he grips at his heart, blood trickling out of his mouth and staining his chest. Light halos him. To the left, Emmet looks at him sadly, visibly tired and worn down. His tie is red. To the right, Akari looks down angrily, red scarf covering the bottom half of her face. A spark of light shines in her visible eye. August is "Ingo and Emmet, and Stacy!! With Hisui au Sol thrown in for flavor". Ingo and Emmet stand in their usual point and call pose, except with their triplet, Stacy, standing in the middle of them pointing outwards. Stacy is dressed very similarly to Ingo and Emmet, though his coat is shorted than theirs and he has thicker gloves.

September is "Ingo and Emmet, and also Jacke :]" and Ingo is pointing excitedly between himself and Jacke, gesturing to the fact that they both frown a lot. October says "various aus (zoroark au mainly, but also loi, a81, and fr au)". In this drawing, Ingo is a zoroark who's just been caught by Elesa. She shouts loudly and points accusingly at him, holding up a pokeball as if to launch an attack on him. November's is "flight rising au and the Jubilife piano au!!" Ingo and Emmet are depicted as tundra dragons from flight rising, fluffy dragons with thick neck fur and large tusks. They still have their hats. December's is "ghost!Emmet au!!" Ingo and Emmet stand together in the icelands. It is snowing heavily. Ingo is hunched over and struggling, coat wet and weighed down by snow. Emmet stands near him, visibly concerned as he looks behind them, reaching out partially towards Ingo. Only Ingo leaves a set of footprints in the snow. Emmet, texting Ingo and Fraise on their date: Playing Hide n’ Seek with my favorite nephew. I looked for him for 15 mins and couldn’t find him anywhere. I had a mini-heart attack thinking he’d gotten outside somehow then I walk by his room and heard this hoodie giggling...

{Sends them a pic of one of Ingo’s hoodies hanging off the side of Logan’s bed, and another one of Emmet’s hand lifting the hoodie revealing a smiling Logan huddled underneath.]

Ingo, proud of Logan’s creativity: Hm... My boy’s genius. 

(Ingo is texting Emmet back, his wife curiously looks over to see.)

Fraise: What are you texting?

Ingo: Oh, just telling Emmet. Now he knows how our mom and dad felt after he fell asleep in that laundry pile... Did I ever tell you about that?

[Fraise shakes her head.]

Ingo: Okay, so. When me and Emmet were around 5-6 years old, our mom was doing laundry and took Emmet’s baby blanket to be washed, at the time Emmet was verry attached to it, he would hardly go anywhere without it. And when he found it missing, instead screaming down the house like he usually did. He tracked it down to the laundry room and took a nap in the dirty clothes pile; with the blanket pulled over his head.

{Fraise cooed at the mental image, it was cute trying to picture her husband and brother-law as kiddos.]

Ingo: With the blanket covering him, Emmet was completely obscured from our mom’s sight. So... Naturally our parents freaked when they found me in our play room alone and Emmet was nowhere to be found. They looked everywhere, they had the neighbors looking everywhere. And just when they were about to call the cops? out from the Laundry room comes mom’s Sawk; carrying a groggy and very cranky Emmet...

Fraise: My Sol... I can’t imagin that sort of thing happening, I’d never let Logan out of my sight after something like that.

Ingo: Yeah... Our mom did that for bit, always made we were in the last place she left us, checking every room before she left it, eventually she mellowed out. 

(Ingo’s phone vibrates)

Emmet, texting back: Shut-up, I wanted my blankie....Your telling Fraise about this aren’t you? If you do, then I get to tell her how you broke your Big toe “Bowling champ!”

i think they are both Very Autistic... i think i said this in the notes of oop once but not like. anywhere else bc it seems like such an obvious given gsshkjsh. though my tactic w/ characters is also just to give them whatever flavorings i want rather than adhering to like... "oh they have This Label so they act Like This" so ymmv on how much you think it fits, idc anymore lol

and then also hisui ingo has a lot of Shit Going On from the rift that would probably warrant its own diagnosis however unfortunately hisui hasnt invented like. psychiatry yet. and there isn't really a formal name for "all your memories got replaced with antimatter" anyway so he's kinda SOL on that front

BUT YEAH. that was a variant on warden emmet where he wound up with the diamond clan and got assigned to be braviary's like, interim warden because Sabi is Five and probably should not be doing that whole job all by herself. but she's still like... there being clairvoyant and weird she just doesn't have all the Responsibilities. i thought it was fun gshksjh

It continues to prove true that for most things, the more I am exposed to it the more it grows on me. I am realizing that Elesa is now part of my current pokemon obsession, instead of just the twins. Nimbasa Trio more like Blorbo Trio

The third sketch page includes a human pokemon oc, Sol, who is a white person with their hair shaved on one side, and wears a long black coat with stripes on the sleeves. The first sketch shows them smiling, and another of Sol with a Torracat perched on their shoulders. There are also two sketches of a Galvantula, another Torracat, and two of a Zoroark, one somewhat ominous labeled "what the dog doin".

The next sketch page shows a Hisuian Lilligant, named Phyll. The first couple drawings are fairly on model before it starts to diverge with unique traits. One sketch shows her alongside either Ingo or Emmet (impossible to tell) with greatly exaggerated shoe sizes, labeled in all caps, "clown shoes". There are also a couple sketches of a Hisuian Goodra.

Rena & Sol decided to surprise the twins at work!

Tbh I'm not really feeling happy with this at the moment, but it's been sitting around unfinished for a month & I felt like trying to do something with it so I slapped a public domain image in the background & some color on the lines. Maybe I'll redo the lineart with a smooth edged brush? Idk, I just wanted to finally post this idea.

So anyway, I think after they've all been dating for a while, Rena would be more prone to little shenanigans when the twins are at work but she has the day off. She'll also visit Sol at work as well but if they both have the day off they'll visit the station together.

Sometimes I think about projecting stuff with my irl job on Rena but like. Rena is dating her bosses, so just the thought of her coming home exhausted after work and if either of the twins try to comfort her it's like "my brother in christ YOU made the schedule".

Versus Sol who's a costumer at a theatre & generally has a more lax schedule & when she does work more than scheduled it's because hyperfocus kicked in & she accidentally did 3 days work in the span of 10 hours & she only stopped because either Rena or one of the twins called her asking where she was.

Of course, once Rena gets yoinked by Arceus into Hisui, things are different.

Rena trying to adapt to Hisui & working for the Galaxy Team, and then once she meets Warden Ingo she starts overworking herself because the sooner she completes the pokedex, the sooner she can get Arceus to send the two of them home.

And while those two are missing, Sol starts helping out at Gear Station (because they're down a manager AND a shift leader, both of whom are near & dear to the remaining manager; besides, the more time Sol can spend with Emmet, the less likely either of them is to completely fall into despair) on top of her theatre work. Neither Sol nor Emmet are doing too well, overworking themselves to keep the station together & if they're not occupied then their minds start to drift into bad thoughts so they've gotten keep going. At least they have each other to lean on.

When Rena & Ingo come back, it's such a relief for everyone (although the day after Rena has the sudden realization that she & Ingo should go see a doctor, maybe even check into the emergency room because God knows what kinds of bacteria and diseases they could've brought with them, but the doctors are basically like "y'all need to rest for a couple weeks but otherwise you'll be fine").

Rena finally decides to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. Sol realizes that she missed battling on a regular basis more than she thought & quits the theatre to work at the station (and in fact as a third Subway Boss, although officially she's an assistant manager).

Copy of a thread about Sol & Emmet reacting to Ingo's disappearance from my private twitter. Mentions PLA spoilers. This was also written before I made Rena so it's no longer "canon" to Sol's life but I figured I would share it anyway. Also includes a drawing of "Subway Boss Sol" at the end.

Sol has a sixth sense for danger. On one hand, it can give her an edge in battles, knowing when the opponent is going to let off a potentially devastating move. On the other hand, it really doesn't help her anxiety & can really put her on edge at times.

So when Ingo suddenly disappears without a trace? When she & Emmet first notice he's late, she thinks nothing of it. Minutes turn into hours & she's trying to reassure Emmet that Ingo is fine. She's worried too, but she doesn't get *that* feeling, so she trusts that Ingo will turn up. The next day she does get anxious that he hasn't come home or called back or anything. You can't report an adult missing till 48 hours have passed though, so she focuses on keeping Emmet from freaking out.

Another day, & she goes to the police with Emmet to report Ingo missing.

Sol's anxiety increases exponentially. Days turn into weeks. When they aren't out searching, Emmet & Sol are trying to console each other. Sol keeps apologizing for not knowing something was wrong. She feels broken. The more she spirals, the worse Emmet feels. The worse he feels, the more she spirals. They stop going out to search. While Sol holes herself up in the bedroom wallowing in depression, Emmet obsessively searches online for answers. Elesa's visits to check in with them become more frequent. She makes sure they eat, tries to get them to go out, at least for some fresh air. On bad days she resigns herself to opening the windows for a while (if it's cold outside she'll make sure to wrap them up in blankets first).

Maybe at some point Emmet stumbles across stuff about Sinnoh history, the wardens of Hisui, & a mention of Ingo. Maybe the article or whatever says that one day the Sneasler warden disappeared as suddenly as he arrived. Which means maybe he didn't die in Hisui. Which means maybe he'll be back.

If Ingo comes back, the moment Sol sees him she will fall to her knees & sob uncontrollably. She & Emmet will not let him out of their sights for at least a month (for the first week or two they take turns on Ingo Night Watch before he & Elesa manage to convince them to just sleep normally).

Elesa probably suggests the trio get a goddamn therapist.

When the twins get back to their job as subway bosses, Sol goes with them.

Where before Ingo's disappearance she spent her time working part time in a clothing store, she now takes her work with her on the subway while hanging out with one or both of the brothers. When a trainer makes it to their car, she tries to focus more on her work but still can't help but react to the battle (including when her sixth sense goes off). She doesn't want to give the brothers an unfair advantage, but they're usually too caught up in the battle to even consider looking to her for cues.

Before the disappearance, sometimes Sol would actually surprise the brothers by battling her way to them. She ended up losing to them the first few times, but the first time she wins they go out that night to celebrate. Eventually she gets to where she's tied with them for wins vs losses. The more she battles them the more they learn her strategies, but she learns theirs as well. One day she jokes about becoming a subway boss herself, but the twins don't shoot down the idea.

After Ingo's return, at some point on the multi line the twins offer to let her swap with one of them for a battle. They also ask the challenging trainer if that's alright with them first of course.

Also she's not quite as in sync w/ her partner as the other brother, they still manage to win quite handily. Sol finds she missed battling, & they start inviting her to swap out on a regular basis.

Eventually they have a serious talk about making her an official subway boss. She agrees on the condition that she gets to make her own uniform. She worries that they'll give her a grey version of their uniform & she does NOT like the look of that in her head.

She briefly considers basing it on Zekrom & Reshiram, or maybe her namesake, Absol, but if her uniform is too different from the twins it would draw too much attention to herself (& the twins would probably veto it anyway).

She gets the pattern for the coat & tweaks it to her liking, including using both black & white. Swaps out a necktie for a jabot, shoes for boots, & leans into the b&w color split.

She also decides to get a haircut; she's starting a new era of her life! It's just a little bit shorter but she ditches the emo bangs for a side part.

I think when Ingo & Rena get back from Hisui, Ingo might shave off his goatee (I like long hair though so he's keeping that bc I said so).

My explanation for why Sol has gotten a lot farther in braiding Rena's hair than Rena has on Ingo's here is that Sol is just really good with her hands from making clothes, plus she uses Rena to practice/try out different hairstyles. Rena is used to just braiding her own hair (plus Ingo's hair not all being the same length complicates things :/)

One time, Emmet saw Sol braiding Rena's hair & wanted her to teach him. He can only do a basic 3 strand but if he wakes up before Sol or she falls asleep cuddling with him, he'll start making a bunch of little braids in her hair.

Now that Ingo has long hair & doesn't intend on cutting it, Sol will probably ask to try experimenting with his now too lol I don't think he would mind, & some of the styles he might even wear out of the house. Sol might ask Emmet if he plans to grow his hair out as well to match his brother, but he prefers to keep it short.

Years later, probably after they have kids, Rena cuts her hair short (like pixie cut short) & Sol mourns those beautiful locks but Sol has been growing her own hair out & Ingo's is still long as well so it's not a huge loss lol

Also, you can bet that with Sol as a mom, the polycule's children have the BEST costumes for Halloween every year. No store bought shit, she makes them herself (she's taught Rena & the twins how to sew too though so they help out). She'll also teach the kids how to sew so they can make their own stuff when they're old enough.
