What's your dream scenario where practically every star has aligned to create exactly what you want to happen?

It's hard to pick just one, right? And even in just the last few days, I've had a couple of folks come thru and broaden my horizons more than a little, so these things remain ever in flux.

But I can share the one that's been haunting the deepest reaches of my mortal soul (it's a drama queen) for the last little while, but disclaimer: it's pretty cheesy, and not terribly exciting 😅

I can't stop thinking about what it would be like to just get to exist, day-to-day, as a berrygirl*.

I've had to do a lot of growing up in the last year, and the idea of getting to just... wear my truth on the outside... I want it, I crave it, I need it.

I want to take the berrygirl HRT, chew the gum, gorge on the fruit, drink the juice, whatever whatever whatever. I want to take some kind of Hormonal Girth Control (the puns must flow) that stabilizes my juices, and keeps them from being contagious (unless I've got a partner who wants me to go off that for whatever reason... 😳).

I want to wake up blue in the morning, look at myself in the mirror, and decide how big I want to be that day. Do I want to walk, waddle, rock, or be rolled? Do I need to get hooked up to my personal juicing machine, or do I need to get my juices flowing?

I want a closet full of clothes for a berry! I want outfits for myself at every size, things that look cute, or hot, or are even just practical. I can't imagine why a berry would need steel-toe boots, but my inner butch wants a pair to go with an excessively baggy boilersuit.

I want fashion for berries! I want clothes that compliment berry bodies from the girls who just want a chemical bbl to the girls who want that bloated, half-filled pear shape, to the girls who roll! I want stupidly expensive designer jeans meant to be worn with the fly wide open, cuz damn she's just too juicy~ I want dresses that can only cover so much, I want skirts that amount to just being wide belts... for some reason, I need a crop top that says "warning: contents under pressure". Thanks to drinkapus over on deviantart/bluesky, I also want some stupidly large white cotton undies. I want berry lingerie, and I want it to be so ridiculous, just oceans of cheap lace and spaghetti straps.

I want to just Be. I want friends who don't bat an eyelash at my strange wants and needs, at my most core self. I want a world I can move through as myself: large, blue, and unhindered (unhindered, by like, society. I can be a little hindered by my body, as a treat). Except maybe at the TSA lol some weird part of me loves the idea of the drama of having to juice way down to fly somewhere, and like... idk, ignore this part.

I want to be able to get on grindr and post pics of my tight, blue circumference and be desired, weird dick pics from faceless dudes and all. I want to go flirt in lesbian bars and be teased with popping talk! I want to be wanted for what I am when I'm my most fundamental self.

When I was little, I used to pray that I'd wake up and pokemon would have become real overnight (apparently, many trans women were praying to become girls? my priorities have clearly never been straight).

Now I just yearn for whatever heavenly realignment would allow me to be loved for who I really am... what I really am. The stars would literally have to rearrange themselves for that to happen. Hope that's an okay answer. Thank you for asking!

Friday night we talked to Charlie about how much we loved Season 16 and are looking forward to 17, and "We miss Mac being a fake bad-ass," was his example when he was talking to us about how he is really trying to prioritise getting back to who these characters really are, and digging into the weeds of them all.

It’s so special to hear directly from him that the character’s core wants, cares, and motivations are what he uses to drive every episode plot (and I am going to spiral about this forever, I think).

Does Meta Knight know what happend to Dedede in TDX?

TDX is what the cool kids call "Triple Deluxe," right? lol

In the Roleswap, they both know the facts about the events in Dream Land... Meta Knight knows what happened to Dedede during the whole Dreamstalk incident, and Dedede knows what happened to Meta during the Haltmann invasion, for example.

But I don't think they'd get outwardly vulnerable enough to really open up to each other about how all of that made them feel.

....Not at this early point in the story, anyway. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

To be fair, they don't really share their inner thoughts and feelings with anyone. Prideful King and Stubborn Knight... They've both got their own images to uphold, even to each other! They bottle up their feelings in hopes they go away on their own! That ain't healthy!!

But they do have the ability to let down their walls a little, somewhere deep deep inside them. It would just take something very stressful to get either of them to open up....

Actually kinda upsetting how many people believe Caitlyn did some horrific and irredeemable shit in S2.

Why are people acting like she was a mass murderer? Like she committed genocide? Wtf?

Watch the show again. All she did was flood Zaun with Enforcers and Noxians trying to squeeze out Jinx. And no, she did not gas anyone who was not a straight up Chembaron or their goon. Watch the Hellfire sequence again - she only used The Grey on exactly who she said she was targeting with the Task Force from the very start (“agents still loyal to Silco”).

the structure in mac and dennis break up

this is gonna be a short post tbh, I just rewatched the episode and I have a couple of thoughts.

if you need a refresher on what I think the structure is in general, I talk about it here.

I think Mac and Dennis Break Up shows us an example of Mac and Dennis (and Charlie and Frank) working properly in regards to the structure, let me explain why:

First... I don't think there's a need for me to describe the plot of the episode, we all know.

What I want to focus on, is that at one point Mac moves in with Frank and Charlie, and starts bringing his way of life to them.

At first, Frank is thrilled.

"I could use a little structure in my life here." he says.

This reminds me of dialogue from Carries a Corpse.

"Nobody admit this to Mac, but... I feel like he was carrying a ton of weight."

"That would be another one of his annoying identities... the man who could carry stuff."

He's been shown carrying Dennis, on top of generally being inclined to micromanage, take care of others so they're safe, and make decisions or at least demand to be consulted in them (like which movie to watch on movie night).

That's when Mac works best, so I assume that Mac generally brings structure (or is a man of action, as he describes it).

Later on, we see Mac take this too far, and Frank doesn't like it anymore. To me, this is because what this episode tells us is that Charlie and Frank don't work well with a set structure, the way that Mac provides. They're more free.

I think this reading is important because it shows me why The Gang Gets Romantic fundamentally fails in its objective (not as an episode god forbid, I mean in the narrative, especially for Mac and Dennis).

It applies the romcom structure to Charlie and Frank, while it doesn't to Mac and Dennis, when it should be the opposite. Throughout the episode we see that Mac and Dennis keep fitting the tropes to the romcom structure, but they refuse to follow it, and thus it crumbles. It can't work.

Here's another thing.

Dennis' back broke in the S15 finale.

That is funny, yes, but what does this mean when I say that Mac is the (his) structure, then?

Well... Carries a Corpse implies that Mac was carrying most of the weight of the corpse, and the corpse is meant to be the show... and most show meta is basically the same as Dennis meta (most meta lines seem to relate to him, whether the fact he left for north dakota and came back, or the fact he's a dad, being between life and death, breaking his back aka the structure, and so on), as I have discussed better in my other post.

Point being, Mac carries Dennis. That's what he's meant to do, and what he does best in their relationship.

This makes me think of another recent scene that I think is emblematic of their dynamic... but in an interesting way.

So, in 2020: a Year in Review, Mac and Dennis work together on a song.

They seem to be in harmony, but eventually start disagreeing and stop altogether to focus on something else. Why?

Because Dennis is working on the backup vocals, and Mac is working on the words. Which means their roles are reversed. Mac is supposed to be carrying the song, like the wind beneath his wings that he is, and Dennis, like the man of words that he is, should be responsible for the lyrics. They're doing each other's job, which means any harmony they reach is still bound to crack a bit the moment the song doesn't work for them.

Their seating position on their sofa reflects this.

Compare it to Mac and Dennis Break Up, which is supposed to be our ideal.

They're in each other's places, in 2020.

This isn't new, they've been sitting in each other's places ever since Break Up. Mac was sitting in Dennis' place in MFHP, Dennis was sitting in Mac's place in Gets Romantic.

So tl;dr... Mac and Dennis work well under structure, when Mac is the one to bring it and carry Dennis. They fit a proper couple structure after all. Charlie and Frank don't work as well under structure, since their relationship is more unique and doesn't quite abide by normal rules because of that.

This does bring me to one last consideration though...

They're back in their right spots, in season 16! Only problem is... couch is different. I would argue an inflatable couch doesn't offer the same amount of support (structure) that a normal one would...

Now that Dennis' structural essence broke, is he gonna feel what it's like when Mac is absent?

Perhaps this is why in Cursed we get Mac as the lucky one while the others as so unlucky they start to believe they're cursed (according to the synopsis...).

So the whole gang needs Mac?

Well...

In Goes To Hell pt2, when they build the human pyramid, it's both Mac and Dennis that end up at the bottom, as its structure.

So maybe... Dennis needs Mac as his structure, and the gang needs them to be in sync so they can both, together, support them (or shut the hell up about it, as both madbu and s15 would argue). Maybe this realization could be what brings the gang to work together in order to get them together. But that's getting into just speculation so imma end it here.

I like these thoughts though... Mac and Dennis being the foundation, the structure of the whole thing :)

Charlie moving into his own place and boarding up his bedroom because the idea of being stuck in a back room while he’s asleep is creepy.

He’s a kid and when he’s in his bedroom, that’s when the Nightman can come. The Troll Toll allows access to Charlie’s bedroom, he watches the door open and he’s trapped in the bedroom. He hates being in the bedroom.

Now he’s 15 and Uncle Jack has moved out but his mom has come home with two screaming newborns. The house is overwhelming, he has to retreat to his bedroom but he hates his bedroom. He has to get out.

Charlie sending all of his time in high school in Mac’s mom’s basement. It’s a large open space, there’s no bedrooms here. He’s free and he’s with someone who makes him safe, someone who will protect him. There’s no bedroom door, no toll.

And now Frank is breaking down doors and opening his trauma right back up. No. He can’t do this. Frank wants to move into the bedroom, leave his side in the open space, Charlie’s lost his protection and now there’s a bedroom.

Charlie works, he inserts himself into Dennis’ scheme, he plays right into it all, and he manages to get them in return to play right into his hand, to create his own leverage to get what he wants. He’s used Frank’s business techniques against him, only for one thing — Security.

And now Frank’s boarding back up the door. They’re back in their one-room, no bedrooms, together. He’s safe.

No idea what the hullabaloo on social media is about re. the Oasis ticket prices. You can't tell me for a second that no one knew this was a cash grab scenario. I mean, the Gallaghers are clearly riding the wave of nostalgia and have been upfront about it ("we've been offered big money to reunite multiple times", news portals have reported how much the brothers would stand to earn through the reunion tour). Where do you think those big bucks are coming from?

Us, the fans.

You'd be surprised at how many people are willing to pay big money to see their favourite band. The feeling is priceless.

👆 That's basically the question that prompted me to create this, an entirely separate tumblr from my normie one. I figured I'd write a couple of horny stories, get no attention whatsoever, and look at What I Had Done, and I'd see some patterns, and I'd be like "Ah Okay Now I Understand What's Wrong With Me" (fun fact for y'all homestucks, I'm a diehard Kanaya main. best girl. i miss her. do with that what you will.) anyway and having that analytical understanding of my weird fetishy ways, i'd then dissolve those desires back into the raw psyche-material and integrate them into more realistic, normative sexual expressions irl. i been thinkin' bout berries alone for a long time, and i got really tired and sad being that alone.

Well, first of all (and I mean this very literally):

it gets me soaking fucking wet.

I've kinda stopped trying to understand why. I have vague ideas, but I don't know that I'm ever going to be able to explain my needs to someone in a way where their lightbulb clicks on and they get it, and... I could be using that time to look at yummy smut instead, tbh.

It cuts straight through my skull, grey matter, every real and imagined barrier i've put between the outside world and my deepest vulnerability. It hits me dead-center-bullseye in the heart and the mind at the same time. That's a favorite, for sure.

Like... I kind of love everything about it? Even the depictions I don't care for, or the interpretations that don't resonate for me. I don't know if I've just spent too long fermenting alone and maybe I've gone a little crazy, but... I don't think I have. I think I was always like this, but it's been hard to tell without anyone else to provide context. Now I've gotten to talk with some people, and feel a little seen, and see them (i think? a little?) for who they are, and we're so different while still being the same. I knew there were other people like me, but now I Know, y'know? It's a wild feeling.

It's pretty cool how it just haunts me like a shadow, too. I mean that.

Not often, but every once in a while, I'll catch myself in the mirror, avoiding eye contact for some reason. I'll just kinda like... watch myself: long two-tone hair, pronouns, frankly great boobs, muscles, tattoos, long legs... no lie, I'm lowkey a hottie irl. T4T candy, at the very least. It's taken a while to get there, but I can see what other people have seen, sometimes. I have a few really-good things going for me. Not the ones I would choose for myself (get me a rouge the bat bbl STAT), but good nonetheless.

But I digress (a lot).

Anyway, I'll just watch that reflection and think "You think you're supposed to be a blueberry, don't you?" and after a moment, it'll reply "So do you, beloved."
