tagged by @shing02 to put my spotify 'on repeat' playlist on shuffle and share the first five songs for you guys to vote which one represents me, then tag five more people! thanks for tagging me
lately i've been in a 'listen to pop and be happy' mindset so it's mostly pop/viral stuff. perhaps you guys already know the majority of these?
the first one is a fun song with lyrics about what it's like gaming with your friends. i like to listen to it before, well, gaming with my friends heheh
youtube
this second one's a fun watch for the funky cowboys. i listen to it a lot to get into the "gotta make that money make purse!!!" mindset as they themselves put it in the song
youtube
the third song is a classic from daft punk's 2001 matsumoto leiji collab. i heard it again in 24 hour restaurant recently at like 4am and have been having yet another series of looping sessions with it ever since. forever groovin to this one!!!
youtube
fourth is, well... hololive. what else can i say lololol. marine is my favorite vtuber she knows how to tell stories well and play off the audience to great comedic effect. she also does fantastic voice work. just classic good entertainment. and this song is super fun i have her besties having fun collab with indonesian vtuber kobo in my on repeat too actually
youtube
the last one is from this neat ongoing song project where the artists give the public the ability to vote on character's ongoing criminal trials based on what's presented in music videos and some voice acting and then progress the story from there. lots of bangers from this series cuz it's a collab between deco*27 and the frontman of the oral cigarettes! the subtitles are a must for this one - also do some research on the video meaning and the project in general for sure if it piques your interest
youtube
thanks again for tagging! i tag @hakonohanayome @squirrelstothenuts @buttholes @krobelus @perfectblue7

do you have a YouTube account or something where you post playlists inspired by your recs on here?
Hi there!
I have a huge playlist on Spotify with almost 500 C-indies tunes: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2GafBwYGsMfr8JcUrg7rLb?si=b82ea80afa6f4349
And a much smaller playlist of Asian Indies (Thai, Filipino, Indonesian, etc.): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4pb2G0fdU5ZRk38aVdkBe4?si=b15b805f866448ab
And I save C-indies songs in a massive YouTube playlist - stuff that I haven't posted, because so much stuff comes out from bands/channels I follow and I can't keep up with listening to everything. So I can't say I recommend it all, it's just where I save it untiI I get the chance to hear it. Lots of bands we feature here, but also artists I don't know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNB7SPNMccU&list=PLrIOYb-A2G05Px9umFf0TIusMwADlHYEw
Hope that was helpful, and please let me know if you hear anything you would like me to feature. =D

Introduction post <3
Hey, I'm Nick and any pronoun's good for me. I'm a minor, biromantic and asexual, and I'm an Indonesian living in Australia which is pretty neato. My favourite colour is Red, and my main playlist on Spotify is (currently) 45 hours long.
My account will really just me be posting/talking about things that I don't get to talk about often, like fandoms I'm in or music I really like. I'll also be drawing fan art/writing fan fiction so if you're interested there'll be a lot of that.
I'm very very new to Tumblr, like stupid new, I barely know how to format a post so please bare with me.
My main show fandoms but they progressively get worse:
BBC Ghosts, Dead Poets Society, Watcher, Gentleman Jack, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The French Dispatch, Jojo Rabbit, The Thick Of it, Cunk (on everything), The Grand Budapest Hotel, M*A*S*H, Man Who Fell To Earth, House MD, Top Gear/Grand Tour, Robert Erwin, 12 Angry Men.
My favourite musical artists (they're all red flags):
David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Radiohead, The Style Council, Tchaikovsky, The Smiths, The Cranberries, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Strawberry Switchblade, The Talking Heads, The Velvet Underground, King Crimson, ELO, Pulp, The Kinks, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Crowded House, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Blur, Pig With The Face of A Boy, The Clash, The Jam, OMITD, Soft Cell,Led Zeppelin, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Joan Baez, Smashing Pumpkins, B-52's, Supertramp, Tom Cardy, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Duran Duran, Elvis Costello and Horrible Histories (they count as musical artists).
Some of my favourite ships are:
Buffy x Faith Anne Lister x Anne Walker Todd Anderson x Neil Perry Steven Meeks x Gerard Pitts The Captain x Lieutenant Havers Adam Kenyon x Fergus Williams Hauptmann (Captain) Klenzendorf x Freddy Finale Ben Willbond x Never Playing a Straight Character Any of the previously stated musicians x myself /j
Instruments I play:
Bass guitar, electric guitar, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, piano, ukulele and recorder. Honestly, I fully believe I play recorder and ukulele the best, I absolutely shred.
I love history, I love it to pieces. I'm a history girly in the sense that I can, will and happily talk about the history of make up in varying cultures and it's evolution, or the French Revolution and Napoleon, or historical art movements, or Ancient Greece and Rome, Henry and his Wives, Lady Jane Grey, so on and so forth, but also I'm a modern history boy and I will talk about tanks and planes and warfare and trenches and planes again I really really like planes. I LOVE Eastern world history, specifically different types of asian history, and if you do too then you're cool as hell. I enjoy historical and current politics (fat red flag), psychology (woah there's another one), and also I love love love transportation, specifically boats and planes and trains, but planes are my favourite. Also bikes.
If any of these things interest you, I would ABSOLUTELY be interested in talking about any of them! I plan to be as active as possible on here, but I'm still in school so I'll probably be a bit spotty. Feel free to interact, ask questions or completely dunk on me, I'd love to gain some mutuals <3

127central and 127fund have broadcasted many times about project donations and team streaming for this comeback, but it's the nctzen who don't want to support, I see vals and markf are now focusing on solo jaehyun and mark, then tyongfs since the beginning has said they don't want to support, that's what makes the group project a flop

Looks like you didn't pay attention reading my reply.
I'm subscribed to over a hundred of NCTzens, and I haven't seen this fundrising project untill one person reposted the cancellation (and huffed about it). You see the problem in reach? I'm not subscribed to the acc myself because I see no sense in multiplying NCT official twits in my feed, and the people I'm subscribed to didn't want to re-twit about the fundrising and spread the word.
Yes, the fandom is divided. As I said, solo-stanning is half of the problem. The other half is the lack of a strong unifying 127 club. Solo-stans do solo-projects not only because they care about their bias the most, it's because they are better united, they get something in return for their effort (even if it is bragging points).
I'm not blaming NCTCentral, but I'm still saying that I think the good outcome the first time was luck (and the help of Indonesians), not the result of long preparations in bulding up the unity and the strength of the fandom. The NCT fandom (the English part) lacks these mega-fans, mega-organisers. I saw people try with smaller projects and giving up eventually. And noone can blame them. It is very very difficult to run a fanclub properly. A person with a strong character, lots of time, organisation abilities, drive and a team of helpers is needed. It is much easier to achieve on a country scale, when meeting of fans in real life, the unity by nationality, the desire to leave a good impression on the artists are big motivators.
Anyway. OK, the project has flopped. Let's move on! Everyone can do their tiny part and do something positive (like hyping the comeback in their personal blogs, collecting hearts in apps for music shows, posting proof of streaming, etc). Even just not talking about how divided is the fandom is the act (that costs you zero) in the right direction. Heck, just press the like button on YT under promo and track vids after you watch it.
Twit-reminders about collecting hearts, calls for streaming, asking to engage with a tag on X, etc. work. People are busy with their lives, but you have a chance of catching them during their spare minute, when they are mindlessly scrolling X, and motivating them to click or like or listen. Believe me, I'm the test subject, haha.

Kindly grant me the opportunity to introduce myself as Sabine Malika, affectionately known as Bine or Mali by those around me. My preferred pronouns are she/her, and I have recently come of age. I identify as an INFP-T.
My languages include English, Indonesian, and German, with some basic French from high school. I also have a partial understanding of spoken Spanish, although I'm not entirely fluent in it.
I have a keen interest in anime; currently, my favorite series include Blue Lock, Fire Force, Bleach, and JJK. When it comes to movies and TV shows, I'm drawn to a mix of action with heartwarming stories, intriguing mysteries, and sometimes thrilling tales but also a bit of romance. I tend to avoid movies with heavy gore as they don't align with my sensitive side. Some of my favorite movies and TV shows are The Darjeeling Limited, Babyteeth, Reminiscence, Outer Banks, The Witcher, Baby Driver, Runaway, The Hunger Games, and many others.
I'm also a huge fan of soul, indie, pop-punk, and alt/rock music genres. Some of my favorite artists include Good Charlotte, Frank Ocean, The Stone Roses, Bring Me the Horizon, radiohead, The Panturas, Morfem, and many others. I'm also a massive fan of KHH/RNB and JP-rock/pop, and I enjoy creating Spotify playlists. We could also doing Spotify session sometimes. From hip-hop to metalcore to classic tunes, I appreciate a wide range of music. In the realm of K-Pop, my attention is captured by Sunwoo, The Boyz, Le Sserafim, and P1HARMONY.
As for fun facts, I enjoy watching FUNNY videos on either Tiktok or YouTube shorts and conspiracy videos—particularly those that explore global conspiracies and related theories. I'm also a huge Formula 1 fan, and my favorite driver is George Russell—he's also my kind of guy, by the way. Pardon my narcissistic ass.
That's pretty much the not-so-brief version of me. If you're contemplating follow each other's accounts, I would be delighted if you took a moment to see if we share any common interests.

PAUL PARTOHAP
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Paul Partohap, an accomplished Indonesian singer-songwriter, embarked on his musical journey with the creation of “Seandainya” in 2017, where he collaborated alongside his then-girlfriend, now his beloved spouse, Gita Savitri Devi. Drawing profound inspiration from R&B, Gospel, and Korean Ballad, Paul’s creative tapestry remains steadfast as he maintains a steady stream of musical releases. With an impressive catalog that includes numerous singles, an EP, and a full-length album, Paul has managed to cultivate a devoted and extensive following, including a listenership of over three million on Spotify. DAI★SHI is back with a new song: “TIMEWAVE.”
DAI★SHI has unveiled their latest single, ”TIMEWAVE." The track delves into the emotions experienced by the band members following the loss of their close friend and former guitarist, Dowe, to a grueling battle with lung cancer. The band previously decided to pay tribute to their late friend with the song “Corvus,” but they continued to explore their grief and remember their former guitar player through the power of music. The composition captures deals with the void left by the departed friend, and it is all about navigating the unpredictability of life. While this is a song about grieving and trying to make sense of a tragedy, there is still a glimmer of hope. It’s beautiful and inspiring to see people coming together to celebrate a life, and remember a friend through making music that he would have loved.
“TIMEWAVE” stands out as a sincere homage to Dowe, and it is also a stark reminder that we need to focus on what really matters: cherishing the people we love, and the time we get to spend with them.
With origins dating back to 2006, the Indonesian group specializes in a fusion of rock and industrial elements, accompanied by a distinct affinity for captivating visuals and distinctive aesthetics that align with their music. "TIMEWAVE" continues this trajectory, crafting an immersive sound with a wide range of influences. The instrumental arrangement prominently features  guitar work that oscillates between massive heavy chords and melodic phrasing. The distinctive lead vocals soar above the instrumental landscape, guiding the band and pushing the emotional intensity of the performance.
This release is highly recommended to fans of artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Dead Rituals, Enter Shikari, Evanescence, or Linkin Park, among others! Find out more about DAI★SHI and do not miss out on “TIMEWAVE.” This release is currently available on Spotify, as well as other digital streaming services.

The pros and cons of streaming vs. downloading music: which is right for you?
As technology has evolved, so has the way we consume music. Gone are the days of buying physical copies of albums or even downloading MP3s. Today, streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal have become the norm, offering unlimited access to millions of songs for a monthly subscription fee. But is streaming really the best option for everyone?
Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of streaming and downloading music to help you decide which option is right for you.
The Pros of Streaming Music
Access to a vast library of music: One of the biggest advantages of streaming music is the sheer amount of content available. With streaming services, you have access to millions of songs, all at your fingertips. This is especially useful for those who like to discover new music, as you can easily search for new artists and genres.
No need to take up storage space: One of the downsides of downloading music is that it can take up a lot of space on your device. With streaming, you don't have to worry about this as the music is stored on the server and not on your device. This means you can have access to all your favorite songs without taking up valuable storage space.
Easy to access from any device: Another great thing about streaming music is that you can access it from any device with an internet connection. This means you can listen to your music on your phone, tablet, or computer, making it easy to take your music with you wherever you go.
No need to worry about losing your music: If you have a lot of music downloaded on your device, there's always the risk that you could lose it. This could be due to a device failure, accidental deletion, or other unforeseen circumstances. With streaming, you don't have to worry about losing your music as it's all stored on the server and can be accessed anytime.
No need to spend money on individual songs or albums: With streaming, you pay a monthly subscription fee and get access to all the music you want. This is much cheaper than buying individual songs or albums, especially if you're someone who listens to a lot of music.
The Cons of Streaming Music
Monthly subscription fees: While streaming is generally cheaper than buying individual songs or albums, you do have to pay a monthly subscription fee. For some people, this fee may not be worth it, especially if they only listen to a small amount of music.
Quality: While streaming services offer high-quality audio, it may not be as good as downloading a song or album in a lossless format. This is especially true for audiophiles who are particular about sound quality.
Dependency on an internet connection: Streaming music requires an internet connection, so you won't be able to listen to your favorite songs if you don't have access to the internet.
Conclusion
There are plenty of options for finding and downloading music in Indonesia. Whether you're looking for the latest hits or classic tracks, these top 5 music download sites have you covered. With a wide selection of songs from both local and international artists, you're sure to find something you love.
