This is stupid, Paintbrush thinks, staring at the search engine in their hands. This is so stupid.

The search 'how to know if there's a ghost in your house' taunts them even further. As far as they're aware, ghosts are real; but that was when they were in the show. Paintbrush isn't sure whether or not that was another aimless lie, concocted by MePhone with the childish hope that the people he mourned would come back in a fantastical way, never leaving forever.

But Marshmallow is the most rational person Paintbrush knows, having been living outside the bounds of the show for the longest, and she said that it would be best if they at the very least checked.

Okay so I’m writing a thing about evil paper because I personally love him and I feel like he could’ve been written so much better. And boy oh boy is this a struggle to figure out. I kinda don’t want to rewatch season 1 but I kinda need the context for this to make sense.

I’m debating on winging it. Possibly. Evil paper is already gonna be ooc but like, I kinda need him to be. He’s still kinda crazy but I chuck the reason at the readers face. So it’s fine.

From what I remember about him, he very much resembles both a trauma holder and a persecutor. And those two roles are difficult enough separate, but being both at the same time? No wonder he’s the way he is.

Idk I’m sick of the whole “DID/OSDD create murderers” stereotype. Or even just the whole ��evil’ thing (which I understand the show does but it was like 2010. Basically nobody knew anything about the disorder, plus the creators were still kids at the time). I want to rewrite Evil Paper in a way that highlights the way he thinks.

Think of it like what they did with OK K.O. They expressed TKO’s feelings and what he wanted. But with it being from KO’s perspective, you didn’t really get to understand all of it. TKO wasn’t just some ‘evil alter ego’, he was just a scared and angry kid who wanted an answer as to why he was alive. It takes a while to see it, or maybe I just psychoanalyzed a bit too hard, but it’s there.

I want Evil Paper to be Paper’s TKO. And when you do a side by side comparison, they’re very similar! So this should hypothetically be very easy to write.

Also I’m doing this because 1. People never write about paper and if they do it’s about him being in love with OJ. And 2. I’ve only ever seen 1 fic that had good representation of DID and did a beautiful job at writing Evil Paper. I don’t remember the name of it but I know it’s on wattpad. Yeah I have no idea if it’s still up. OMG I FOUND IT WOOO GO ME!!!

in honour of fall starting, i think that lightbulb and paintbrush would have a big hammock in their backyard (like the image below) and they'd sit in it together

lightbulb would shake it and annoy paintbrush (who's probably trying to sketch, read, or nap) until she tired herself out and would curl up with them for cuddles.

then paintbrush would fall asleep, and lightbulb would have to carry them back inside and into their bed once it starts getting dark 💛🤎
