Unfortunately, I do not have an AU masterlist, mostly bc when I first started this blog, I did not know wth that was, but also because I now have over 500+ posts and it's impossible for me to find all of them.

However! If you really want to find more (and please do lmao), then I recommend just searching up your favorite characters on my blog and maybe I'll have a post about them? I do tag my posts pretty well, so it may seem like a lot? But honestly, I have no solution.

When Keefe and Dex have share their lufterator (I think it’s page 59 of Neverseen), while I do admit it’s great Keefex content, why?? Didn’t?? Della?? And Biana?? Share??? It’s not really Biana’s fault but Della definitely brought this on herself and she should have to deal with any inconveniences she causes. Maybe adults use too much more air but Biana and Fitz are still siblings?? Poor Dex was literally the only reason they were able to keep going and then he had to suffer for it?

My assumption is that their sharing of the lufterator was mostly chosen because it was fun and a brief enough scene that it didn't impact much afterwards--and it lent itself to a few jokes afterwards like the one Keefe made about sharing air with a guy and then the guy trying to get you punched. Additionally, there could be some "it's Dex's never before tested alterations to a lufterator being put to use, he shouldn't make anyone else take that risk" logic there. It ended up working, but in the event something went wrong it seems fair he'd receive the repercussions (not that he deserves to drown, just that it's his thing he altered).

It also was a more natural series of conversation as both Dex and Keefe had talked about sharing with Sophie, but Sophie didn't want to share, so why not just take the two of them and pair them with each other! They'd already expressed partial willingness to share, which was more than anyone else had said.

I do think that if it were a more realistic scenario where we were evaluating the impact of Della being a stowaway versus using it as more of a reveal, then she absolutely should've been the one to share the lufterator. She's the one who stowed away on their trip, she's the one disrupting everything, it's only fair that in doing so any compromises or uncomfortable scenarios fall to her.

I'm not sure Biana is deserving of the same, at least not to the extent that the responsibility falls on Della. She was an accomplice and did agree to keep Della's secret, but it's not her fault or responsibility that Della is there. She didn't ask her to come along and was only aware of her presence because Della needed to use her to get there. She's more complicit than the rest of her friends, but the situation isn't her fault.

Given the closeness of Della and Biana they'd probably be one of the most comfortable pairings, contended only by Fitz and Biana, who would tease each other but otherwise be fine. Fitz and Keefe would make it work, but ultimately bicker in a similar fashion to Dex and Keefe, and Sophie would be anxious in any pairing.

I think perhaps another reasonable pairing would be for Della and Mr. Forkle to share. Della because her being there is her responsibility, and Mr. Forkle because he's the one in charge of the situation and bringing everyone to the Black Swan and disrupting their lives. Additionally, it is an untested lufterator and the kids are more important, so both adults taking the risk/discomfort to accomodate the kids is something you generally see good adults doing. Not even just adults, it's just something older people tend to do for those younger than them as a courtesy. However for the same reason of him being in charge, we could argue that he shouldn't share so he's more available to guide everyone.

My overall conclusion from this is that while in terms of consequences, it makes most sense for Della to have to share, paired with either Biana or Mr. Forkle, the scene doesn't have much impact. It's a chance to put some humor into an otherwise serious situation, and that's a great way to use it!

So I just read what you think of Matt and I loved it and was wondering if you would want to elaborate/add/meta (I don't remember the word, sorry) more in your perception of the Holt family?? I mean you said they looked like a family with a code of their own (besides the full book-number-letter thing), how would that be??

So this builds a lot off of my understanding of Pidge, specifically, as the Holt we’ve had the most to do with thus far.

The thing about Pidge, is Pidge is simultaneously someone who seems as if she was very isolated, but also, a person so incredibly used to interpersonal contact that she pretty much doesn’t know what to do with herself any time she’s severed from her local friend group.

She also very readily views having a group of friends, I.E. the rest of Team Voltron, as like family- early as s1e4, actually.

To me, this seemed to suggest that Pidge was kind of… nestled, in with her family. That she was incredibly close to her parents, and her brother, but beyond that had almost no real friends. And s4e2, lo and behold- we see that Pidge felt like an outsider in her school classes, had difficulty relating to other people, but was incredibly close to her brother.

What emphasizes this sort of internal secrecy with the rest of the Holts, to me, is the fact that both Sam and Matt have zero qualms exchanging cryptic communications behind the Garrison’s back. Even communications that are not really… terribly important? Ordinary family things, like “Bedtime is still ten, even if I’m in space.”

These are highly intelligent people, and they’re people who prioritize their own family connections over that of seemingly, any other alliance they have. Pidge’s closeness to Voltron is that she views them as another family besides just the Holts and that pulls them close to each other. It’s why I sort of jokingly described them as “Slytherins” because of that sort of very selective polarized loyalty- there’s the people you share certain secrets with, the inner circle you trust.

What intrigues me is not just the coded messages between Matt and Sam, but the fact that for the Holts, codes appear used as an expression of love. The personalized nature of the algorithms basically means that if you’re able to understand the message, then there’s the added message that you’re one of the people they find important, trustworthy- you’re in the circle.

And the Holts are sociable and friendly people, absolutely- it’s not as if they’re cold to others, but there’s a level of understanding, and loyalty, saved for family. Which is why Sam Holt saying that his team on a mission becomes like family, and Pidge paraphrasing it early in her development with Voltron, carries a lot more weight than it seems at a glance.

Kotlc Actor/Actress Au... Headcanons... yeah

- First of all, Dex’s actor has an Irish accent and you can pry that from my cold dead hands.

- The whole cast makes jokes about it, but he does too.

- They have ship wars (Kam vs Solinh, Sophiana vs Keefex, and of course Sophitz vs Foster-Keefe).  It gets violent.

- Once they had the Neverseen cast do a weird video of them dancing to the song “Bad” by Michael Jackson to promote the next movie.

- They aren’t allowed to forget it.

- In the video (spoilers) they carried Tam’s actor around.

- Lady Gisela’s actress is actually super sweet and is always apologizing.

- “Ah! I’m so sorry.  Did I hit you?”  “Are you alright?”  “Oh my gosh I’m sorry, hun.”

- Tam’s actor and Linh’s actress are real life twins.

- Tam’s actor is also super outgoing.

- Linh’s actress is pretty much the same meanwhile.

- Sophie’s actress goes from being professional to being a meme in 0.2 seconds.

- And it’s the exact same thing with Amy’s actress.

- They tag team the memes...

- Keefe’s actor is kind of hipster, but he’ll never admit it.  He also can’t see without contacts/glasses.

- Fitz’s actor gets embarrassed and awkward easily.  All the Sophitz scenes get to him sometimes and he’ll, like, nervously rub his head.

- There are so many times when none of them can keep a straight face.

- Take that one lufterator scene with Keefe and Dex for example.

- Nobody could stop laughing and it was extremely hard to film.

- Dex’s actor isn’t in the moives/episodes as much because he has some medical stuff going on.

- Biana’s actress is an actual badass.  Don’t screw with her because she will mess you up.

- Wylie’s actor is so super quiet and mellow.  But is also such a dad.

- There is a cursed photo of Dex’s actor in full Dex costume with Lord Cassius’ actor in full Lord Cassius costume making silly faces together.

- Linh’s actress is a sleepy girl.  Will fall asleep anywhere at anytime.

- Sophie’s actress and Linh’s actress are dating and it is pure.

- They all have way too many inside jokes.
