You know what disco elysium place I want to know more about? Ubi Sunt?, the only geographical location in elysium with a punctuation mark in it's name. Fond of socialism and sheep. Facing crushing poverty and total entroponetic collapse. It is literally being eaten by the pale. Named after a latin phrase from the vulgate bible commonly used to mean nostalgia, translating to "Where are those that came before us?"

instead of focusing on what member unfollowed him, or making up additional allegations, please just wish the best for the victim who had to endure his torment. please wish the best for all the women in south korea right now with the current uprise in SA crimes as well as chatrooms filled with nonconsensual content. wish the best for the underage girls who have also fallen victim to these crimes by other underaged men. the women who don’t have the courage to come forward and speak about this because of the society they live in.

(x) David - bisexual with a strong female lean. but he describes himself as “straight but also not opposed to any random impulses that may arise”
I kind of overlooked this for a very long time admittedly, as I assume a lot of people did because I rarely appear to see this discussed in depth minus one, but like. I know this is an Andrew Garfield quote, but the actual prospect of David being fifteen feet in the closet makes so much sense. He is an incredibly notable figure in the universe of DRDT, his whole character is basically built upon that fact. Something else that's pretty obvious is that David is someone who cares a lot about how he's perceived by others. He works hard to make himself as palatable and uncontroversial as possible to other people. It's no wonder that he would hide and/or sugarcoat his attraction to men when describing his sexuality to the public, or even begin repressing it himself. And not only that, but it makes the inappropriate way he responded to Nico being forcefully outed make so much more sense
(x) David: So then, revealing your secret was a good thing, right? That way, you won’t have to be misgendered anymore. Nico: … Nico: I wasn’t ready. David: This is definitely an improvement. It’s good for everyone to be open with their secrets.
Like no wonder this man cannot be trusted to handle queer identity in a respectful way, he's repressing his own so far that it's going to come out of his ass.

Akasha, still mortal. Designing her was challenging given the lack of extant reference, but this is what I came up with:
Apparently she was turned in 4000 bce, so I based my research in the Uruk Period of Mesopotamia (which was named for the Sumerian city of Uruk, now Iraq, where Rice said Akasha is from). In 4000, Kaunakes we’re not yet in style for Sumerians, instead wearing more straight-fitting kilts/net-dresses. I believe those also conformed to the rule of higher status =ankle length, lower class = knee length, so that’s what I did
On the fabric color—I read a paper that posited the ‘net’ of the net dress shown on the cylinder seal linked above/attached below, was actually a dyed pattern. The cylinder seal is dated @ ~3000 bce, BUT there is evidence of ochre-dyed cloth from Çatalhöyük, in Anatolia, from at least 5700 bce, so I think fabric dyeing in a less complicated pattern sounds feasible for 4000 bce.
Given 4000 was also the Chalcolithic Age/Copper Age in Mesopotamia, I wanted to include something copper. While I couldn’t find extant copper jewelry-jewelry, I did find these pins, and iirc Sumerian wrap-clothing was held with pins anyway
Re: necklaces, Akasha’s is based on this one.
I went with Iraqi-Lebanese actress Zahraa Ghandour as (partial) facial reference
Some assorted refs I don’t think are included in the links:

The plot twist I wasn’t expecting - Watanuki wasn’t asleep in bed or even at home, but literally just sitting outside on a picnic blanket.
A very Watanuki thing to do, all things considered.

Ah.
The rituals. They are so intricate.

as a white woman myself the NBC poll that found 53% of white women voted for Trump is going to live rent-free in my head from now on, I'll be honest.
because from the way much of social media has been covering this election, the large male voting spike for Trump means that every man in America (and, because of how US centrism seems to work, every man on the planet by association) is misogynist down to the DNA, either through this vote or through not stopping his fellow male friends and families' votes. the fact that millions of men voted against Trump is irrelevant! this is all about treating people as a monolith!
so, with that approach in mind, logically that means you can only approach the 53% fact in one of three ways. namely:
much in the same way: hold that every white woman is also guilty of misogyny, racism, xenophobia, transphobia, etc etc, by dint of either voting Trump or not stopping her fellow white women voting Trump. the fact that you might know white women who voted against him doesn't matter! again, we're treating this as a monolith! and as we've been seeing a lot of posts insisting that all American women should now be going out of their way to 'make all American men miserable', logically it follows that everyone should also be shunning every white woman they know, making them miserable, isolating them, etc etc, a practice which I can't say sounds particularly fair, kind, or effective in shoring up support against the Cheeto Nero at all.
hold that every man voted for Trump knowing precisely how awful he is and should be punished accordingly....but those women who voted for him didn't fully appreciate what they were doing! they've been sucked into the patriarchal thought-trap! they're not going to benefit from a Trump presidency at all (no shit) which means they're less culpable than the men who voted for Trump! now, personally I don't feel that arguing that in comparison to men, women are hapless babies who aren't capable of fully understanding the consequences of their actions (even when they do something shit) is wholly in line with feminist values, but maybe someone else can explain to me why I'm wrong there.
accept that every vote for Trump served to put us in the shit but also accept that nuance exists right across the gender spectrum. accept that there's going to be a whole range of motivations for voting Trump amongst the entire electorate, and that trying to 'punish' any particular demographic probably isn't going to do any good whatsoever (and that doubling down on gender separatism is pretty much playing right into the MAGA-handbook).
like, keep yourself safe from the downright dangerous elements in your community, absolutely. but in general, if people are going to read that statistic, sit with it a while, and then decide to extend grace and the benefit of the doubt to the demographic of white women by virtue of not assuming every white woman is a racist, transphobic misogynist Trump-voter until proven otherwise - which is probably the healthiest approach in the coming years - it's both easy and right to do the same thing with the men you know. (and, hey, it might even win a bit more additional support against the angry wotsit, which at the moment is not to be sniffed at)
