Dead Friend Forever ep 10
I'm not sure how much I buy this version of events by Phee. It seems...too easy. But maybe it's because that would mean there is/are no other person/people involved (i.e. Non and/or Keng and/or White) and that would be disappointing. Nah, I'm holding out hope that this isn't the actual true events.
Yes, that IS the head of another person there with Tan and Top!
So Phee really did tell Jin everything...and then Jin admitted to posting the video...and they're ok with each other. They've found some 'comfort' in both being as bad as the other I guess.
I hate (LOVE) that I can't tell what is real/truth and what is part of the revenge plan 👀
So Fluke is finally including himself in saying 'we' hurt Non. *insert growth!gif*
How can they always act so cool about being in the middle of nowhere in the woods. You can literally die by being lost and walking in circles.
Again, I still don't know why Jin needs help to walk when it's his shoulder that's hurt 😂 It's like these actors and acting coaches have never been injured in their lives to know what it's like.
Haha yes! Someone else IS there and making other marks in the trees to fuck with Jin (and Phee?) 👏🏼
Top could get his arms out of those ropes easily, that's either a really sloppy filming error or these boys need to learn how to restrain someone better.
Oh White has the gun now does he? 👀
And how did Jin just fall over nothing? Oh I get it, the axe needs to be left there for someone to pick up later, right?
I don't think I've mentioned this yet but I can't stop thinking about how the end of their film is Jin running alone out of the house, implying he' a lone survivor, so I wonder if we'll get some kind of subverted parallel of that at the end of this nightmare for them all (which I don't think will be the ending of the series but I might be wrong - I don't watch horror so I don't know what 'beats the show needs to hit').
So everyone knows who's who and what's been happening (sort of)...and of course Fluke goes for the gun, which I guess needed to happen to take focus away from the Tan/New revelation.
Yes! Make Tee talk! Let's get new info!! And I want to know what Fluke did!!!
Of course Top can just stand up 🤦🏽♀️ Aaaaaand he's dead? Just from one shot to the stomach? (The severity of gunshot wounds vary greatly in bl -> we had Chart survive two shots to the back yesterday and Vegas survived multiple shots to his torso a few years ago but Top just keels over and is dead just like that? Oh! unless the gun has no live bullets but the drugs are making people think the gun/bullets are real???).
MOAR FLASHBACKS 🤓😍
So Khun Keng IS dead. I wonder how they got the photo of him and Non then...maybe photoshop?
OH MY GOD THE TRAILER FOR NEXT WEEK LOOKS SO GOOD.
Damn, I wish I hadn't caught up. Now I have to wait a week and I have a VERY busy wed-mon coming up with work 🤦🏽♀️😭
#dead friend forever#I don't trust ANYONE in this or ANYTHING I see#but one thing I can trust is that the show will surprise me#which I love#thank you everyone for shouting about this show so much#that I became just so intrigued that I had to watch it despite my ick about horror#THIS SHOW IS BRILLIANT

I HAVE SO MANY OPINIONS RIGHT NOW!!!
LITG S8 | vol X | ep 28
First of all, Jin definitely HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING on his eyes because ain’t no way he thinks Sienna is pretty. Or, God forbid, hot. I mean 🥲 and she looks like a grandma in her flowery little nightgown yikes 🤣
MY MC MADE OUT WITH KYLE AND IT WAS THE HOTTEST SHIT EVER! Ok so, first of all the little turning me on with words, bit of roleplay, the whispering - istg I had goosebumps all over my body. And then he pleasures the fuck out of my MC and says this:
He’s too good at what he does. My MC is right, phew 😮💨
Cue 💋💍🥧
The way he wants to be the first to have his turn omgg that was the sweetest. I was hoping he didn’t want to kiss me but I was actually MELTING when he said this
HELL YES I AM, get on them knees and propose to meee 🥹🥹🥹
(Ngl I got the ick when he snogged Sienna but ig his reason was valid. Sienna being smug about it was not it tho 💀)
JIN KISSING SIENNA ✨ROBOTICALLY✨ and Sienna exaggerating again by calling it ✨so hot✨
Be so for real now, Si Si. That’s just straight up pathetic at this point gee 💀
Side note: I love how Kyle is calling us ‘hey, beautiful’ or ‘hey, gorgeous’. I think it’s so sweet 🥹
BACK TO WHAT MATTERS
Look how happy he was when I accepted his proposal
Omg I wanted to snog his face offff for this afagahshshd
Kyle and Jin pieing each other - well, that was to be expected so it’s whatever. But what really gave me the ick was when Oakley pied Kyle for no other reason than
HE’S SO THREATENED BY KYLE LMAOOOO
And then not Theo calling him out in front of everyone 😭🤣 like, I’m sorry but I always knew Oakley was too good to be true
I just was a bit confused why Emel didn’t react to this. Like at all 🤣
Onto the next one
LIAM IS A FUCKING DIMWIT! My girl Bea doesn’t deserve to be treated like this, what the actual fuck! And what’s even more disturbing: you’re seriously trying to tell me that SIENNA is a close second when ranking hottest girls??!!! 🤮
Plus, he has the nerve to ‘cram’ the fucking pie in MY face because, and I quote, “I just think you’re pretty overhyped.”
I call bullshit! Thank God Jin was decent enough to defend me and call him by what he is - rubbish.
Anyway. Thanks for letting me vent. This one episode is already more eventful than last week’s whole volume lmao 😂

I’m finally caught up on Till the End of the Moon (up to ep 24), and before everything goes to hell--something both that I’m looking forward to and that fills me with dread --I have some Susu thoughts. Yes, she’s done some dumb things to put herself in the situation in which she now finds herself (I haven’t read the novel, though it sounds like that’s in part an adaptation issue), but also, her situation was already fully impossible. A big part of that is because of how many versions of Tantai Jin she holds inside her head and her conflicting relationships with all of those different versions that this scene so beautifully invoked:
Anyway, I’m kind of obsessed with Susu, so here’s a character analysis that literally no one asked for.
The first version of Tantai Jin Susu knows is the Devil God that not only essentially ended the world (stakes almost too big to wrap your brain around) but also killed all of her family and friends in front of her (more personal stakes). He also nearly killed her--she viscerally remembers both the feeling of his hand around her throat and the look in his eyes when he did. No matter what the past version of Tantai Jin does, that version came first and can pop up in her brain at literally any moment, especially as he gains power and becomes more of a potential threat. That leads to the first version of Susu that has to exist: the version that needs to prevent his rise as the Devil God at any cost. Her sect died to send her back in time and give her that chance. She cannot afford to forget her mission.
The second version of Tantai Jin Susu knows is Tantai Jin as how he is when she arrives in the past. He starts out as a poor, abused little mew mew, and Susu pretty quickly finds herself unable to punish Tantai Jin for his future crimes. She’s not even very good at being mean to him. At the same time, she needs to stop him from dying before she figures out how to deal with the whole evil bone situation. This Tantai Jin leads to the next layer of Susu’s relationship with Tantai Jin: she needs to keep him alive and, on the off chance that it’ll prevent him from becoming the Devil God, be nice to him, too. Since no one has cared whether Tantai Jin lives or dies before, or if they did probably preferred him dead, that little bit of kindness and care fully knock Tantai Jin off balance. And that leads to the first time Susu lies to Tantai Jin that she wants to protect him because she loves him, which is where their relationship starts to get messy.
Then, plot things happens, Susu disappears for a few months, and when gets back, she meets essentially the third version of Tantai Jin: Tantai Jin has somehow become king of a whole ass country while she was gone, is fighting a war against her new “home” country, and has started using his demonic powers in a pretty big way. Yes, Tantai Jin is actually a pretty good ruler, but Susu remembers a version of him that’s capable of wiping out the entire world. His newfound access to power puts her on edge. She’s constantly afraid he’ll misuse it.
She also knows now what she needs to do in order to get rid of his evil bone: she has to make him fall in love with her in order to get the weapon that she needs to kill him (at least I think it’ll kill him, I’m a little unclear there--stabbing him in the heart with nine nails seems at least fairly unpleasant). So she embarks on the third and fourth versions of her relationship with Tantai Jin simultaneously: a growing loving, romantic relationship that she has to do a good enough job developing to get what she needs to utterly betray him.
The thing is, Susu isn’t that good of an actress. As she does all the things she thinks she needs to do to get Tantai Jin to fall in love with her (shout out to our romance advice queen Pian Ran), she also falls for him. She also knows that Tantai Jin’s love for her is entirely real because every time his love for her grows, she gets another nail. He’s not faking it. He’s telling her the truth. To keep going, she has to lie to herself convincingly enough to imagine a future with him in which he’s a good person and they love each other, and do all the things she needs to do to bring that future into being. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to manage it. But she also has to be ready to destroy that imaginary future that feels more and more real to her as her relationship to Tantai Jin grows in order to prevent the worse future, the end-of-the-world future, from happening (or so she thinks). To do that, she has to be prepared to break his heart. And if she admits to herself that she loves him and she’s not just pretending for the mission, then she has to be prepared to break her own heart as well to do it.
So, as things stand now: Susu hates, loves, fears, wants to protect, and has to kill Tantai Jin, all at the same time. It’s a wonder she’s not more of a mess.
Also, I haven’t read the novel, but if/when Susu betrays Tantai Jin, not only will he have to deal with the immediate betrayal of the stabbing, if he ever finds out that she came back in time *solely* to stop him and that her love was all a ruse from the very beginning, it really is going to be the betrayal to end all betrayals. Should be fun.

Liveblogging Dead Friend Forever Ep 7
I am SO SO SO excited for this and for PhiNon I am READY let's GO!
LMAO Phi and Non met on Thai Grindr I don't know why that's so funny to me. But they're so fucking cute oh my god. The way Non smiles when they meet face to face the first time! They're both immediately smitten. The date montage is killing me. Non feeding Phi! Pinkies Locked while walking down the street!!! I love them so much! Phi is absolutely 100% justified in murdering everyone over this little love story.
Phi's dad is kinda hot in the one second we saw of him, not gonna lie.
Them pulling a Lady Ant The Tramp on an apple is objectively hilarious but they're so cute that I'll let it pass.
Phi is so fucking in love. The matching bracelets are so cute. Something something Red String Of Fate something something. what a lovely bit of joy this opening bit has been.
Aaaaand we return to your regularly scheduled awfulness. That music really immediately brought the tone back. Remember that everything is terrible? Remember that Non might get arrested? Remember that Non eventually goes missing at best and is murdered at worst?
Ooooh! Phi's dad is a fucking cop! Real high up, too! well that makes things interesting. but lol at Phi being soooo Ride or Die that he's straight up lying to his dad that he's involved in The Crimes too just to save his boyfriend.
"But don't worry, there are no problems that I can't fix." PHI. PHI my murderous revenge seeking king. I love you. but perhaps calm your tits a little, you'll freak Non out even more than he's already freaked out. boy has Anxiety! Phi is so right to tell Non that he needs to change schools and that those aren't real friends but Non isn't ready to admit it yet.
See, Jin tries to help Non but it doesn't actually do anything. Because Jin has no spine or he wouldn't still be friends with people who bully the boy he likes. Phi actually helps Non. Get you a boyfriend like Phi, not like Jin.
Also it's so funny to see Non just not responding to Jin's heart eyes. Jin's got his hand on Non's shoulder like 😍 and Non is just blanking him. 🧍♂️😐 Hilarious.
Ah, i Knew that this was going to be the PhiNon Conflict: Phi is (rightfully!) upset about Non not sticking up for himself and leaving those assholes to do the movie themselves and keeping secrets, Non wants to handle his problems on his own and not have Phi sweep in every time to fix things and judge him. I'm sorry, Non, but you dicked down a latent obsessive crazy person (affectionate) and this comes with the territory. It's the Theerapanyakul coming out.
Pinky Promise! that i am 100% sure is going to be broken in like 30 seconds. I'm calling it now, i have the episode paused to write this but i am betting that the next scene transition is going to be to Hot Teacher manipulating Non.
Damn, I was wrong about that being the next scene but I FEEL IT. It's going to happen! Damn, they didn't even bring Non with them? he had to ask the villagers for help getting to the mansion? WOW.
Now Por, if this kid literally got you involved with the police for money laundering why the FUCK would you give him your credit card to go buy food for everyone? i get that you just don't want him around and want to punish him but that's just dumb.
Jin wants Fluke to also stand up for Non but that is not going to happen ever.
God Por and Top are so mean.
"It's my money, if I want something, it'll happen." "it's in my hands it must be mine, tell your dad to come sue me." fucking rich people.
Oh is this going to be the betrayal that means Jin has to die? That Jin convinced Non to stay and then Non ends up missing/dead? Jin must feel so guilty about that.
here we go, a scene with Hot Teacher. I know something's about to happen with this I can feel it. The music is making me so tense and now they're sitting on the couch together! and like, Non absolutely should be telling a teacher/adult about all this! but just not THIS teacher/adult. I do not trust him! "I see you as a brother" my ass.
AND THERE IT IS. I CALLED IT. lmao at Phi calling Non when he's leaving Hot Teacher's office. Phi's spidey sense was tingling.
aaskjfhj Phi fucking showing up to see Non and mr keng talking and he immediately clocks that it's Not Right and that mr keng wants to bone Non.
"you don't seem to trust me at all" because you're not being trustworthy! you're making bad choices! Phi is right and has never been wrong! just because he's a bit intense and overbearing with it doesn't mean he's wrong! god, Non being able to say that to Phi with a straight face when not even a half hour ago he was making out with mr keng. incredible.
I just want Phi and Non to be cute and happy and a little insane about each other and nothing bad happens ok. :(
Uh oh. Jin caught them!
Non no! don't give Tee 300k in cash to give to the boss! He's going to steal it! and then fucking Tee sets Top on Non to stalk him to figure out who gave the money.
OH huh. Hot Teacher is working with an investigative journalist to take down the mafia scammers? Oooooh, i bet that this is how Tee's uncle gets arrested. hmm. well maybe Hot Teacher Mr Keng isn't entirely terrible but he's on the thinnest fucking ice.
oh L M A F O is Jin gonna walk in on Non and Hot Teacher going at it. He already caught Non with Phi!
but OOOOOOOHHHHHH HERE WE GO. HERE is Jin's betrayal! Taking video of Non and Mr Keng getting it on and then getting drunk and POSTING IT ON TWITTER OH MY GOD. JIN NO.
and eeeeeeeveryone has seen it. oh god. Phi's seen it too oh no. i'm dying. i'm levitating in outer space.
the bracelet broke! something something red string of fate something something!!!!
oh fuuuuck. This is why Phi goes psycho revenge scheme on them. "you want me to forgive you? get lost and die." those are going to be Phi's last words to Non aren't they? aren't they? i hate it and i love it.
and next week shit is going to continue to hit the fan. i am vibrating. i need more! this is amazing!

dead friend forever ep4 fuck you fluke
fuck you fluke
"again"? does jin's shoulder fall out of place often? eds gang let's go
OMG TOP???
im seeing a lot of righteous rage against por in the tag and i'm sure i'll share that sentiment once i know a little more but damn, us dies real pretty
top has mostly just annoyed me this whole time but i admit he makes a really creepy ghost/zombie/possessed corpse
more yelling but at least there's a good reason. it's always so interesting to watch a friend group devolve, especially one as dysfunctional and deceitful as this. old wounds reopening and ghosts rising from the dead (apparently both literally and figuratively.) i always like this part
i swear to god fluke i hope you die next
I SWEAR TO GOD fluke.
what about jin and phee? has everyone forgotten about them?
oh hi non! baby boy
too invested in this ep to type much but it looks like next ep it's flashback time and we get to hear about non, who i am given to understand deserves to be protected at any cost and unfortunately isn't, so looking forward to that
#dead friend forever#i kinda liked fluke in the first two episodes but he sucks so bad. he's a coward. he'd betray anyone to save his own sorry skin

My thoughts on American Born Chinese (TV series)
My sister and I recently finished American Born Chinese, the TV series. Now I share my thoughts. I'll try to keep them in chronological order.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!
So...
After watching the first 2 episodes, my dad believed that the writers were racist towards Caucasians because the principal character mispronounced the 2 Chinese characters' names.
Note: My family is Asian. Both of my parents are born and raised in Vietnam.
I think the principal character was just clueless.
We accidentally watched Episode 2 and 3 out of order.
we get a flashback of Guanyin and Wei-Chen in Magic China. The trees are red, people are flying, you would think that you're watching the wrong show... If you had no idea what the show was about.
Flying people feels familiar nostalgic
Soccer team party and ... I'm pretty sure that's hazing
as long as nobody gets hurt
There's a lot yellow lighting. idk y
Sun Wukong hiding the staff in his ear is purely Chinese drama/TV only. according to my sister. Who read the novel? can they confirm?
Majority of episode 4 is a flashback in a style of an old Chinese Drama
it looks like something my parents would watch when I was small child age
You have no idea how many adaptations of Journey to the West there is. The original Classic novel is really old.
ALL BUDGET WENT TO COSTUME AND SET DESIGN!
Even the editing and CGI is low-budget. The way how the staff floats in the air, as if it's on a string. I love it. Very 1 on 1 with what I grew up with.
Episode 5: oh gods. NOT THE AUNTIES COMPARING CHILDREN!
Kế Huy Quan has a very Viet spelling of a name, but he's of a ethnic minority. My dad reads his name and knows Quan is Chinese.
(I'm still waiting for Wikipedia to fix the IPA pronunciation guide of his name. It's "Kay", like okay and hay. Not "kee", like Key or tree. )
His character, Jamie Yao, is very meta. I can tell the writers wrote him as someone who took on cardboard POC characters of the past. The writers and actors are using Jamie as that outlet to tell us what they always want to tell everybody from the beginning.
on to the next episodes...
transformations are never on screen. just off screen. play with cuts, lighting/ flashes, and other things. budget of this show went towards more important things.
Why is the dog in Ep 6 a yorkie? idk... I think they should've gone for another breed.
Episode 7: so... Did the Principal assumed Jin's mom as a tiger mom?
And shouldn't Jin's mom be using her maiden name? Or did Jin's parents got too assimilated in the American/ Western culture?
their names are Christine and Simon.
actually, they let Jin try out sports, go out with friends, and have a birthday party. With curfew.
They let him have a life!!
I wish my paretns are like that. >:(
I declined a birthday party invitation in 3rd grade because I was too afraid to ask my parents. I was so sure they would say no. They always say no to cousins sleepovers. (it's a sleepover of just the cousins.)
Episode 8: so the season finale ...
Jin's parents were fighting, now making up. There was no kissing. Thank you. Asian parents don't kiss. or people of that generation don't kiss. No kissing in East Asia.
flying people is normal. welcome to wuxia and xianxia. Let's GO!!!
Jin is so awkward. His kiss with Amelia is awkward. I appreciate. It's not a full on make out, like Hollywood rom-com. It's an awkward kiss done by awkward kids. Very real and in-character.
was that monologue about himself, Jin?
Very realistic ending. Very HISHE- moment. Jin asking for repeat and slower, because his Chinese isn't very good. Mood. Big Mood.
Where's Sun Wukong's monkey accent? Every CH drama has him in monkey accent. Including VN dubbing? (I'm talking about present day. I'm not talking about the Ep 4 flashback. idr if he spoke with monkey accent in the flashback.) Did he got too tired + stressed from parenthood that he turned super serious?
Sandy is now a woman
My dad explained this show to his sister as Sun Wukong but for kids of the 21st century. (She was staying over for a few nights and only watched like... 1 or 2 episodes.)
he is not wrong
occasionally, he explains the characters' Vietnamese names to me and my sister. The translation is still the same. Sounds are similar, because Vietnamese borrows a lot from Chinese.
Mom be walking in on the Mandarin-speaking scenes and asking what we're watching. Because we rarely watch films and shows in Chinese. It's either in English or Japanese (anime).
Imagine trying to explain Sun Wukong to your parents, who know the stories very well. But the catch is the language translation.
It's not Sun Wukong to my parents, It's now Tôn Ngộ Không (Tone Ng-oh Kh-ong).
Dad not understanding why Michelle Yeoh/ Dương Tử Quỳnh is returning to Hollywood because of her age.
I can not tell if he's being negative or positive or just plain confused. Or maybe he's confused on why his kids are watching her and not someone younger?
all story arcs get tied together in the very end. that's the point of drama writing. but there are few loose ends that bother me. like the pendant being lost forever.
This is a story about an immigrant family, written by immigrant families for immigrant families.
This is a story about being Asian, American, Asian-American, Asian in America, immigrants, and a child of immigrants.
Written by those people for those people
UPDATE:
It has come to my attention that there were on-screen transformations with special effects and CGI for the first few episodes
I guess the budget sorta ran out for the final episode??
I am disappointed in the cancellation of the show. Disney didn't advertise it well enough.

spoiles for ghost of the past
so so the first ep of lmk s4 dropped and like astarved fan i went and deroured it,AND OMG what a premier,
obviously spoilers ahead (god knows i was bombarded with the chinese release)
it was so satisfaying to see jin and yin again up in their shanenagains seeing mk coming a long way with his powers is soo satisfaying (plus the scene with the old ladies was soo sweet, shows how social and friendly he is) and mei joining in to help him.
but the fact that we’re dealing how mk is after after everything that happened with LBD battle is still on mk’s mind and the trauma that caused him, and the fact he believes that every major disaster that destroyed the city just really adds tht mk been through a lot since the start of the series.
there were some peack comedy and expostion but the real dealbreaker were the inks man those thinngs wre legit terrifying and the fact monkey king was petrified seeing the inks forming tells you that somthing upsets or scares him , thank god that the cave is sealed and im genuinly shaking on my seat to see what happens next.

Yoonmin Scenario #31
Taegimin! Au, In which Yoongi and Jimin break up on good terms and a few days later, Taehyung ask Yoongi if he can help him by pretending to be his fake boyfriend. Yoongi agrees, deeming nothing wrong with the arrangement, until one day Jimin knocks on his door and ask him that he has to play pretend with him for a few while because he hasn't told his parents that they have broken up.
In short, Yoongi is fucked when these two family meets and Yoongi has to pretend to be a boyfriend to two different people individually.
In retrospect, Yoongi should have thought everything thorough before shit was about to take down. Lying is bad kids.
Firstly, he shouldn't have pretended to be Taehyung's boyfriend when he freshly gotten out of a relationship. He shouldn't have given to Taehyung's stupid antics.
But he did anyway because him and Jimin ended things on good term, no hard feelings, or so he thought. At least not from his side. He doesn't know about Jimin, but when they broke up, it felt right.
So Yoongi didn't think why he had to dwell over a relationship that ended mutually and on good terms. He wondered why he shouldn't take Taehyung up on that offer and fuck with his parents who are homophobic in 21st century.
Secondly, he should have maybe told Jimin sooner or later than latter finding out on his own. Or, in hindsight, Yoongi should have explained the situation to both of them when they came across each other. But life fucks you up and that's that.
It's bound to make Jimin sad and Yoongi saw it, how his face changed from confused to sad when Taehyung introduced himself as Yoongi's boyfriend. And then Yoongi wondered why he didn't correct him or why did they pretend to be boyfriends in front of Jimin.
They were once in love, Jimin and him, it's heartbreaking to see your ex-boyfriend already moved on and Yoongi couldn't let Jimin feel that. He had loved him, still does a little bit, given their history, he couldn't give him wrong impression.
So they sat down and explained the situation in hand, and then he saw Jimin relaxing and Yoongi felt relieved too.
Thirdly, he should have known Jimin simply didn't come around. Something was up. He should have not accepted the offer. But goddamn, he has spoilt Jimin so much in their relationship, now the younger can pout and get his way.
That is how, he was standing in front of a room in the hospital, holding Jimin's hand and pretending to be a boyfriend for his ex-boyfriend.
In retrospect, Yoongi shouldn't have been weak to cute guys.
Jimin has explained how his mother had a heart attack and he's worried if he told her about the breakup, things will get worse. So he just wants Yoongi to pretend that they are together until his mother is stable.
For Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday, Yoongi was Jimin's boyfriend.
Other days, he was Taehyung's boyfriend, pretending to make Taehyung happy and falling in love so that his parents understand that being gay isn't just a phase and he can be happy falling in love with the same gender.
In retrospect, he should have heeded to the warning his friends put forward, but Yoongi thought he was just helping his friends out. He didn't find any harm.
Until, he realised how Kim Taehyung spent time with him when he didn't have to, since they were not in public or in the vicinity of younger's parents. He noticed things that aren't supposed to be noticed by someone who's playing pretend.
He started noticing the tan honey skin on Taehyung, his husky giggles and when he smiles genuinely, there's this boxy smile that takes place. He notices the long fingers, manicured nails and how elegant they look. He noticed how Taehyung doesn't sleep without something to cuddle, since he has been a victim of such cuddles.
And somewhere he started wondering how would kissing Kim Taehyung would feel like. Would it be clumsy like himself or would it be soft and calculated? Would it be teeth and tongue or would it be just moulding of lips? Would it be soft or chapped? (Soft, Yoongi knows because he has seen Taehyung applying lip balms and licking his lip constantly that brought the thought in first place.)
He realised sooner than he thought he would really, he was falling for Kim Taehyung and he doesn't know how he let that happen or if Taehyung feels the same. It was supposed to be fake.
When he's with Jimin, things are normal, because his movement doesn't have to be calculated. Even if it feels like a breath of fresh air with Taehyung, with Jimin it feels like that one afternoon where you just wanna let the day go by and cuddle.
With Jimin, it's easy because they have dated. It's easy to calculate and read Jimin because they were in love. Things fall naturally between them despite the fake pretense.
But as the things fall easy, a thought falls over Yoongi. If things were this simple, why did they break up? Does he really not miss how Jimin likes cuddling and attaching himself to Yoongi? Does he not miss how soft Jimin looks when he's sleeping and Yoongi feels content looking at him ? (There's always something new to notice.) Does he not miss the hushed giggles and breathlessness? The uncontrollable moans that escape Jimin when they are making love? Does he not miss pillowtalk? How Jimin talks about meeting cats just right after they had sex?
And when one evening, when he realises that he actually misses those moments with Jimin, he knows he's fucked because of course, he's still in love with Jimin.
And he's starting to love Taehyung.
Just his luck.
In retrospect, he shouldn't have kissed Taehyung when he knew he had feelings for Jimin. But all the times Yoongi dreamt of Taehyung's lips, he couldn't just push him now. He should have stopped and talked but he didn't and things escalated. Oh, it escalated, alright, with a naked Yoongi waking next to equally naked Taehyung, cuddling like-like it's right when it isn't. (Even when it felt right.)
Or maybe, since his reminiscing those days, where he could have stopped things from taking wrong turns, he shouldn't have initiated that kiss with Jimin, a week after sleeping with Taehyung, when he knew he was falling well for Taehyung, hard and fast.
But he did because Jimin was crying, and when Jimin cries, Yoongi hugs him and kiss his face, things escalated but thankfully they didn't sleep. Kissing Jimin reminded Yoongi of all the things he loved about Jimin.
Namjoon would question, what the hell is wrong with you dude?
Yoongi would say, he doesn't know.
And leading them both was a wrong, wrong thing, bad Yoongi. Really.
Which led every wrong turns to this major wrong turn, a clash between Park and Kim family and a tiny Min Yoongi standing between them. He doesn't know whom to side with.
The ladies of Park and Kim family are in heated argument about who's boyfriend really Min Yoongi is?
Little shits are scared to open their mouth and they should feel ashamed of their stupid plan. Or maybe Yoongi should feel stupid because even being an adult, he agreed to these stupid arrangements.
Yoongi glares at them and gestures them to come clean because if things turn to him, he will run. He hasn't felt this much embarssment since he peed his pants when he was 7 years old.
"There's a thing called polymorous relationship kids are doing these days, maybe that's what it is," Kim Seokjin finds the situation amusing as he says that and drink from his wine glass.
Yoongi glares.
"Yoongi-ah and Jiminie has been dating for two years now," Mrs Park flaunts.
"That's bullshit! Yoongi has been dating my son for about eight months now," She argues.
Technically, he started fake-dating Taehyung 3 months ago, but the lovely son lied his ass off.
"Jimin-ah, are you dating both of them?" Jimin's mother ask him and Jimin blushes and says no, says he's only dating Yoongi. That doesn't make it easier when they aren't dating. "Don't lie, Jiminie," His mother patiently ask again and Jimin is insistent.
"He's right, we aren't dating him and neither he's dating us, It's just Yoongi and I," Taehyung clears and that...doesn't make it easier because again, they aren't dating for real.
Which leads to another argument about who's really Yoongi dating?
"Ladies," Seokjin gets their attention, honestly, why is he here in the first place? "The only person who knows the truth, is Min Yoongi himself," Oh no, and all the eyes turn to him.
Fuck this shit. Fuck Kim Seokjin. Fuck his life. Fuck Taehyung and Fuck Jimin. Not literally.
He takes a deep bteath, if those two brats aren't going to come clean, he will. Because fuck it hurts.
"Jimin-ah," He simply says and offers his hand. Taehyung looks worried and a little hurt. Mrs. Park look satisfied and Mrs. Kim looks confused. "Let's tell her," He nods calmly.
"Hyung, no." Jimin worries his lower lips.
"We'll tell her calmly, okay? I'm tired, hyung can't run two paths, Jimin-ah, let's end this pretense here, please." It's whispers between them, nobody could hear them but everybody is equally intrigued.
Jimin looks and for the first time maybe he notices and tries to understand what Yoongi is going through. How he wakes up on Tuesday and had to rush to Taehyung for a family breakfast. How he smiles when he talks about Taehyung, how he says that Taehyung slept over again but he doesn't mind. How he fondly complains that Taehyung hogs the bed and blanket and how he cuddles like a monster. But it's fond. It hurts but he understands now. That's why Yoongi chose him to confess because he doesn't love him, he loves someone else and Jimin should let go.
So he nods and they make their way to Jimin's mother. The kneel in front of her and Yoongi takes her wrinkled hands in his.
"Eommeoni, whatever we tell you, take it calmly and do not panic." He smiles. "Jimin and I broke up three months ago-" She opens her mouth to ask.
"Eomma, just listen to him," Jimin asks of her.
"We broke up when you had your first heart attack and Jimin was sad, he didn't know whom to turn to. So when he asked me to pretend for a while until you are stable, I decided to help him because I couldn't see you both hurt in anyway. I know you thought we'd last for long and possibly have a future, But we fell out and we fell out on good terms." He turns to Jimin who nods at this and smiles.
"I love him and I guess I always has and I always will," He feels eyes on him, more prominent Jimin's. "But things wouldn't have worked out between us, I know. I rather have him as a friend than a lover because I don't want to lose Jimin, I want him as a friend. And this is good for us, so don't worry. Jimin... he'll find someone, someone who will love him more and better." Yoongi smiles and looks at Jimin who is smiling, relieved.
"And don't worry about whom Jimin choose, we will go through the guy together so that we know our Jiminie doesn't end up with someone bad," Jimin let's out a wet chuckle as well as his mother. He kisses Mrs. Park forehead and rubs her tears.
"I hope you're no mad at us, we only wanted to look out for you, even it was unconventional." He hugs her.
"I couldn't be mad at you Yoongi, after everything you have done for my Jiminie. It will suck that we lost you but I wouldn't force you guy to try again." She says and pats his back.
"You never lost me, I'm here, one call and I'll be there." He promises and she nods.
He turns to Jimin and kisses his forehead as well, apologising for everything. Jimin says he's fine even when Yoongi chides at him for lying.
"Then I'll be fine," He promises.
When he gets up, he looks around. Everybody's eyes are on him, waiting for an explanation.
"See, I told you, hyung and I are dating," Kim Taehyung speaks and Yoongi realises he cannot carry with that as well because it hurts knowing you love someone and they don't love you.
"Taehyung, come on," He offers his hand. And he understands immediately.
"Hyung, no." He parrots Jimin's earlier words.
"Tae-"
"They wouldn't understand-please, I'll tell them later," Taehyung pleads but Yoongi still pulls him.
"I don't wanna do this anymore, Taehyung." Yoongi sharply says only because Taehyung was being difficult. "Is that enough reason for you tell now?" He asks and let go of his hands because fuck, it has always hurt.
"Mrs. Kim," He greets.
"Yoongi,"
"Taehyung and I weren't dating, we only pretended to date so that you would understand that it's okay for Taehyung to be gay and in love with another male. We mean no harm, I hope you can find it in you to forgive us." Yoongi wasn't kneeling nor was he holding Mrs. Kim's hand because they weren't close but he was as respectful and polite as ever.
She opens her mouth confusedly-
"Eomma, let's talk later, at home. I promise I'll explain everything." Taehyung pleads and she nods.
"I hope you understand that Taehyung wasn't pretending to be happy. He was genuinely happy, even with the thought of dating another man. It's not a phase, please accept him as he is. He only went through all this because he wants your blessing." Yoongi finishes and takes a deep breath.
"I don't know what to say," Taehyung's mother speak.
"I don't expect you to, but I hope you forgive me." He bows down to her one final time and face Taehyung.
"Taehyung-"
He raise his hand, a cold expression on his face unlike how Jimin took the news.
"Dont sweet talk to me," He says without even looking.
"I only did this because you're my friend and you knew we took-"
"I-I don't wanna be your friend. I-" He doesn't say anything. "Eomma, let's go." He redirects his attention to his mother, leaving Yoongi hanging.
"Stay, the party is still going on. If that's all, I'll take my leave," Yoongi announces and looks around. He bows down and decide to leave. When he's outside, he takes a deep breath of cold air, feeling a little relieved but a lot more hurt. Hurried footsteps follow him and he waits.
The person stands next to him, "That was very mature of Yoongi."
"Thanks, hyung." He smiles at him. "Don't think I forgot how you almost jeopardise everything."
And Seokjin had the audacity to wink.
"You know what I wanna do?" They start walking.
"Make this as a career?" Seokjin jokes and Yoongi unimpressively looks at him. "Too soon for such jokes?" He wonders and Yoongi nods.
"I wanna go home and sleep like dead and wake up to the day when Taehyung asked me to be his fake boyfriend." He has reevaluated it and he knows that day, he should have said no.
"If it was so easy to change the past, you think people would have regrets?"
And it makes Yoongi think about it for the whole night.
They walk, not knowing where they are going.
"Hyung, how come you were there?"
"A little birdie told me that Parks and Kims are attending the same function, I couldn't resist to see the disaster taking place."
"Thanks, Hyung. I'm glad you find my misery amusing."
"Always."
"How the hell did you even get in without an invitation?"
"With a face like mine, I could get in anywhere."
"True."
"I'm almost like a God."
"Almost makes a difference."
Jin flips him for that.
"Hey, Hyung? If you really are God, can you make sure Jimin and Taehyung are okay after this?"
It's after two weeks of not mopping but still being sluggish, Yoongi opens the door to Mrs. Kim.
"Mrs. Kim?"
"You don't look too well too," She secretively smiles. Yoongi scratches his neck. She passes him a box.
"I was visiting Turkey and I bought some Turkish sweets." She explains and Yoongi nods, almost lost. "I won't take much your time."
"Please come in," He moves aside. But she shakes her head no and smile.
"I just wanted to apologise, you were right about Taehyung being gay. As a mother I should have accepted him sooner. If I would have, things wouldn't have turned out like this. I'm sorry for dragging you through our family dramas." She speaks fastly but also genuinely.
"I don't mind-"
"A month ago, I called Taehyung and we talked about him being gay. I told him I accepted him and that I'm proud that he didn't try to hide. I told him I'm happy-oh?" She looks behind Yoongi to see Jimin standing there cluelessly. He bows down to her.
"Is it a wrong time?" She asks, her smile seems forced now.
"No, no, I'll be in the room." Jimin instead answers and leaves.
"Where was I? Oh, right. I told him I was happy for him and I accepted him. At that time I didn't know he was dating you out of pretense and he didn't come clean then as well." She speaks after that, her speech was hurried but it was different type of hurried. Like she wanted to be done with and leave. "I just-i don't know why he kept lying even after I accepted him and that's why I wanted to apologise, even after everything, Taehyung still dragged you." She breathes and nods to herself.
"I-I don't know what to say." He looks bewildered at the revelation.
"I don't expect you to," She smiles. "But I hope you can forgive him." She says and bows down, taking a leave as soon as she came.
Yoongi enters the kitchen and places the gift on the table. Jimin sitting there, munching on nachos and completing his assignment.
"What was that all about?" He asks with mouth full.
"Taehyung's mother already accepted him and he still kept fake dating," Yoongi concludes after he told Jimin about the conversation that took place. "Why would he do that?"
"Are you stupid?" Jimin scoffs as he tries to slide the Turkish delights towards himself but Yoongi swats his hand away for calling his hyung stupid.
Yoongi looks at him for an explanation and Jimin rolls his eyes.
"Why did he indeed lie to you, hyung?" Jimin presses and Yoongi looks back, shrugs. "Aish, so clueless," he shakes his head. "He likes you or even love you." He even spelt the word love to Yoongi so that his hyung wouldn't have trouble understanding.
"I-"
Yoongi doesn't know what to say. He's at loss of words. Taehyung loves him?
"Hyung, you too love taehyung, dont you?" Jimin asks sweetly and Yoongi nods because he does, he still does. "You should tell him," He suggests and slowly takes away Yoongi's Turkish delights while he's processing.
"How-I don't even know if it's true!" Yoongi argues.
"It is, trust me." Jimin pouts. "Why would he lie when he got what he wanted? Because he wanted to stay with you. Keep pretending go be your boyfriend. Because once you fake breakup with him, you'd leave him." And as Jimin kept explaining, it started making sense a little.
"Hyung, I know how Taehyung looks at you, it's how we looked at each other once when we were in love. And hyung, you love him, he loves you. You do the math, you'll get the answer. You should submit first then. Because Taehyung doesn't have the correct equation yet, not until someone tells him what does addition symbol do. You love him, you know he loves you. He loves you but he doesn't know you love him, hyung." And Jimin was babbling, he was eating Yoongi's Turkish delights and the powdered sugar coated his lips. He looked like the least selective person who should be giving advices.
But fuck, "It's scary whatever you said made sense." Yoongi points out. He does have the complete equation, he should simply add and get an answer and he has to submit first. Fuck. He loves Taehyung and Taehyung loves him back. Fuck.
"What do I do?" He wonders panicking, pacing around the kitchen.
"You go to him and confess," Jimin shrugs, licking the chocolate from his fingers. Yoongi looks at him like he has third eye on his forehead. "What? Don't be a wuss hyung, just confess and I say you do it now because Mrs. Kim must have had the wrong idea when she saw me here." And then he's back to his assignment.
And fuck, how didn't Yoongi realise that? That's why she left in a hurry.
"Park Jimin, you're genius," Yoongi breathes out and cups his face to kiss his forehead with a big, wet smack. Jimin pushes him away annoyed but still a blush cover his face.
"I know," He mumbles to himself.
And half an hour later, Yoongi is standing in front of Taehyung's apartment, ringing his doorbell and hoping Mrs. Kim didn't arrive before him while he was still sorting his thoughts.
The door open and Kim Taehyung, in all his glory, stares confusedly at Yoongi who's panting like a dog.
"Did-did your mom come he-here?" He pants out.
"Uh no," Taehyung answers. "What are you doing here? Are you okay?" He wonders and wait for Yoongi to calm down in front of his vestibule. "Did you take the stairs? The elevator works just fine, you know?" Taehyung snorts, leans against the door frame, hands folded on his chest.
Yoongi looks up to glare at him but it dies down because how soft Taehyung looks and then Yoongi once again realises how much he loves Kim Taehyung.
"Fuck," Yoongi takes deep breath and stands straightly. "I love you," He says without beating around the bush. "Fuck, I love you. And before your delusional ass say anything else, I know you love me too, so don't pretend." Yoongi warns. Taehyung stand up straight too, looking alarmed and Yoongi is satisfied.
"And even if you dont, I do. I love you, Kim Taehyung." He breathes out, body requiring more oxygen than usual.
"Why didn't you tell me anything? Why didn't you tell me your mom was fine with your sexuality?" Yoongi asks, ruffling his hair. He knows why but he wants to hear from Taehyung himself.
"She-uh, she told you?" He meekly ask, avoiding eye contact.
"Yes," Yoongi huffs. "Why didn't you say anything?" He presses.
"Because I thought you didn't love me!" Taehyung throws his hands up in exasperation, then brings it back to clutch his hair. "I thought if I tell you, you'll find me clingy and what not. And fuck! I thought you still loved Jimin." He frustratingly snaps, looking anywhere but at Yoongi. Tg2ey should take it inside but Yoongi cannot bring himself to care.
"Of course I love Jimin," Yoongi mumbles and Taehyung let's out a fake chuckle. Yoongi is immediate to correct himself. "He's my ex Taehyung, I loved him once. And he's my friend. We've been together for two years, it takes time to let go." He calmly explains to Taehyung and moves closer. If Taehyung notices, he doesn't move back.
"I love him as a friend, nothing more. Because I couldn't love him anything other than that when I was completely in love with you," As Yoongi says this, he takes Taehyung's chin and make him face Yoongi. "I still am," He confirms, looking at Taehyung's lips. "And I missed you and I don't think you're clingy, just when you cuddle and hog stuffs," He gets a rightful punch from Taehyung and grins.
"God, Taehyung, I'll do anything to prove you that I love you and not Jimin." He looks deeply into his eyes to prove his point.
"Anything?" Taehyung playfully smirks.
"I don't like what you're thinking," Yoongi worries.
"You said anything." Taehyung sings songs. "I'll let you know soon," He promises. "Starting, how about you kiss me so that it can prove how much you missed me?" Yoongi quirks.
And he kisses him like he missed him, alright. He kisses him like he missed his body, he kisses him until Taehyung breathlessly returns the confession around his mouth.
And he kisses him as a real boyfriend would.

BL’s Top 10 Most Deserving Unresolved
Pairs who didn’t get to complete their character’s arcs so I would like to see them just play the same roles in order to end the darn series properly. Or maybe an expanded version of the original? Or a spin off. Just... more of the same.
In other words, i just love these characters.
Gu Hai & Bai Luo Yin - Addicted Heroin (China) I think it would be hard to call yourself a BL fan and not be sad about what happened to this show. Do we want it resolved? Of course we do. Will it happen? NEVER. But the wanting springs eternal. (Speaking of spring, should we talk about what was done to At a Distance, Spring is Green? no, probably not.)
AePete - Love By Chance & A Chance At Love (Thailand) We just want to see them get back together. We all know it will never happen. We also know if it did MAME would royally fuck it up. But we still want it, okay?
Jae Sung & Min Gyu - A First Love Story (Korea) Don’t sleep on Strongberry, they’re doing the gay god’s work. And while these two microfilms HOLD as a BL, I still want them as a full on 16 ep series. I am DIEING for Korea to do a full length BL that tackles military service. I know it’s a touchy subject, but can you imagine? Would Jae Sung be out about their relationship while he’s serving? (Probably not, but that’s so against his personality, but then what happens when his unit finds out?) How about Min Gyu in university? Would he pretend he had a LDR with a “girlfriend?” Look, the complexities of the closet under these circumstance write themselves and it would be so good. These two could carry something like it, and Korea would love depicting the tortured pining of a BL where the couple spends most of the drama apart. That’s right up their ally. I think it would be wonderful.
Mark & OuWen - Love is Science? (Taiwan) This is kinda a cheat since actually this BL B-plot resolved perfectly, but still I don’t know a single person who watched this series that doesn’t want the spin off that is Mark, OuWen, and Joanna going through pregnancy and raising a baby together. That’s it. That’s what we want. You can add a lesbian sub plot if you like. But mostly we just want three queers and a baby.
Yuan Zong & Xia Yao - Advance Bravely (China) Tell me a better pairing than deadly ex-special forces soldier bodyguard and the flirty spoiled rich kid of his dreams. No, seriously, I’ll wait. Sadly I’ll be waiting forever. But ho boy did we want to see these two get together. Sadly, they kinda did, they just weren't allowed to. I mean come on, they cuddled naked in bed playing video games. That v gay, China. Why can’t we just see the real footage from that scene? And what’s WITH that ending? *grumbles*
Lee Jun Jae & Takuya - The Lover (Korea) They were so cute and had so much chemistry but Korea wouldn’t even let them dead fish kiss (things have changed since 2015, although not THAT much). How about just showing us what happened when Jun Jae traveled to Japan. Can they not just DATE? Fine just send Lee Jae Joon to Japan and let them film the second half.
Tang Yi & Shao Fei - HIStory 3: Trapped (Taiwan) What HAPPENED NEXT? How long did Tang Yi go to prison for? What happened when he got out? Just a little spin off would be fine. Or a wedding episode. Jake & Chris would do it in a heartbeat. Come on HIStory franchise, you can give us a true HEA. Just this once? Pretty please?
Kohei & Taiichi - Silhouette of Your Voice AKA Hidamari ga Kikoeru (Japan) OMG do Kohei and Taiichi actually end up a couple or not? (Of course if you’ve read the manga you know the answer, but still.) Just SHOW IT TO US.
Bbomb & Jin (also Keam & Ball) - Nitiman (Thailand) The victim of lockdown among other things, this Thai BL university pulp just felt cut off. We want the 2 more episodes we never got, and we are all sad about their loss, because it’s painfully obvious.
Lan Wang Ji & Wei Wu Xian - The Untamed (China) Get them back together in wedded bliss. Nuff said.
How fitting that this list starts and ends with Chinese shows.
More like this?

Meow Ears Up ep. 5 mini review ✐∗ ˖࣪ ༻
rating 𓄷 8.5 - I only got to see Mark for like a total of 10 minutes, but man was it fun.
spotlight trope of the week 𓄷 Let me fix your clothes (the smile to gay panic that came from Dermdem made me scream)
spotlight actor(s) of the week: Bright (Faiyen): My little sunshine. He did really good this episode. Bright does a fantastic job at facial expressions.
Review:
Umm, why am I only now realizing MEU only has 8 episodes??? I could've sworn it said ten but whatever. Now we only have three episodes left and I'm deathly afraid but hopeful that nothing will get rushed.
Ahhhh, Faiyen and his dream sequences. I was hoping the bathroom one was real, but whatever. He was super cute in this episode. He's so squeamish and tiny compared to Evan, and I love their dynamic. I also got the see Bodo'a smile (in the dream sequence of course) and god, can they please have this man smile more, he is gorgeous. For now, I want more bold Faiyen and more smiley Evan.
Jin and Manni *Elevates off the ground*. Their so precious, I'm honestly just ready for Jin to find out she's a cat-human. When Manni almost cried I think I shed a little tear. She's too precious, god I love her.
Meow and Dermdem were cute, and I'm glad all we're really getting from them. The little lover's quarrel they had for like five seconds was frivolous, but either way, I was excited to see Mark. If you know anything about me, it's that I LOVE Mark's acting, While he only really did a little cameo, I'm still so glad I got to see him.
All in all, this was a good episode, but I'm really excited for next week's (bathe with me trope potentially?).

OK, wow, Episode 29 of Word of Honor, and that was A LOT. There is just A LOT going on, and all of it is A LOT.
(Spoilers. Scroll on past and come back later if you need to.)
Well, you know where this is going to start: Both A-Xiang and I are resolutely NOT crying. Yet. But you know who is? Cao Weining. We literally get a single crystalline tear drop, and oh god, I can’t take this, the mood swing from their adorable forest stroll and the way she noms up her corn family and the way he tries to blow away misfortune from the well of her palms and the way she looks up at him as she realizes how much he wants to take care of her and protect her forever – to this poor cinnamon roll and his eyes filling up with tears as he realizes the enormity of who A-Xiang is, the enormity of what he’s potentially done bringing her back to his sect and giving the Ghost Valley a way in, the way she’s hidden something so important from him. That she could have been stringing him along this whole time? That Wen Kexing, who he knows, who he knows as a good guy, is apparently the terrifying leader of the Ghost Valley? Nothing he knows is real, none of it makes sense, and it kills me, the wordless communication between him and A-Xiang, after she finally says it, finally lets him know who she is, and he just looks at her for confirmation, because he can’t believe it, and she gives that tiny little nod, placing all of this knowledge and her fate in his hands, the hands she’s held as he’s promised to stay with her and protect her always, to not fail her. OK. I take it back. A little bit, I’m tearing up. And then he doesn’t. He doesn’t fail her. His shixiong can’t figure out what Cao Weining and A-Xiang are apparently fighting about, because apparently Cao Weining hasn’t told anyone who she is!
Also, I have to yell excitedly about something here for a minute, because OMG THE MIRRORING they continue to maintain between Wen Kexing/Zhou Zishu and Gu Xiang/Cao Weining. (!!!) I really want to point this one out, because it’s subtle but I think incredibly important, and you lose it if all you’re able to follow is the English subtitles. I have to give props to another Tumblr user (whose post I cannot for the life of me find again, and if anyone does, please let me know, so I can update this post), because I wouldn’t have caught it, with my Level 2 Duolingo Mandarin, if they hadn’t done a post a while back about the nuances of the use of “外人” (I think that’s correct) between ZZS and WKX in Ep 25 (and possibly Ep 26). In Ep 25 at 45:53, there’s a conversation about training Chengling – ZZS says something about getting WKX to do some of the training, WKX responds with something about letting “someone else” teach your disciple, per the English subtitles, and ZZS responds with “And you’re ‘someone else’?” Youku is using “someone else” here as a translation of 外人 (“wairen?” is maybe the transliteration of it?) which actually seems to mean “stranger” or more specifically “outsider” – someone who’s from “outside.” I presume in this context, specifically from outside your sect/family (which gives the whole conversation more layers, because by using this label for himself, Wen Kexing gives us another example of how he’s still resisting the idea of himself as a shidi of Four Seasons Manor, at that point, and is still unable to accept the full scope of his relationship with ZZS, even though he wants it so badly, because he is so terrified of getting it and then losing it). In Ep 26, 外人 comes up again, at 5:00, when ZZS finds WKX giving training advice to Chengling. SO, props to this currently unknown Tumblr user, because even though I kind of quickly scrolled past the post without fully reading it - because I hadn’t reached those eps yet, and I didn’t want to see too many spoilers - the post did alert me to the word “outsider” as a meaning of 外人. And without that, I probably wouldn’t have twigged to A-Xiang’s use of “outsider” at the very end of this episode, when this shining, clever, fierce girl, who’s been taught to survive above all else, tells Cao Weining’s shixiong that he can’t just send her away for her own protection, that she’s going to stay and fight and die with the rest of them because he can’t take back his words about her being family and now treat her like an outsider. This time, the English subtitles actually use the word “outsider,” and yes, I checked the Mandarin subtitles, and she uses 外人 to claim her place as part of Cao Weining’s sect/family, the same word WKX uses – and ZZS challenges – to try to maintain his distance from ZZS’s sect/family. Ugh. My heart.
So, yeah, that’s a whole lot about A-Xiang in this ep, and it’s about 1/5 of everything that happened, so let me see if I can keep the rest of this from overwhelming anyone’s dash:
Han Ying. >: ( Show, gdi. It’s not like I haven’t said from the minute my dude gazed adoringly at ZZS, 20-something episodes ago, that he was a goner, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. This death and the scenes focused on it give us a LOT, though: Yikes on WKX’s desperation to save him, and flashback to the Four Sages of Anji – WKX knows he’s going to be out there digging another grave with a sword, and he really does not want that. Flashback to Eps 22 and 23 when Cao Weining told A-Xiang that he wanted her to be more careful because she would actually feel bad if she killed someone innocent, and ZZS told WKX he didn’t want him to have any more sins on his hands. Not to mention, literal flashback to the death of WKX’s parents, the most traumatic event of his life. Also, I noticed the difference here between WKX’s reaction to Han Ying the last time they met, which was pure vinegar, and his acceptance of him this time along with his desperation to save him, not even really for Han Ying, himself, so much as for ZZS.
Duan Pengju, omg, this asshole. Meanwhile, Chengling is getting to indulge his newfound bloodthirstiness, with the approval of his shifu. That’s right, Chengling, you should burn down his little battalion. Fucking superb, you funky little goldbean. Of course, then, we’re going to re-visit the most traumatic event of your life because everyone gets a little bit of PTSD triggering in this ep. As a treat. I … love? … that is maybe not the precisely correct word … how ZZS reassures Chengling that no, Tian Chuang will keep him alive - ZZS knows, like the rest of us, that creepster Prince Jin wants a piece of him. I do actually love how Chengling’s response is to try to wake up Wen Kexing, because he knows no one is laying a finger on ZZS if WKX is around to say anything about it. I also love the way ZZS sends Pengju scrambling backward just by stalking toward him. The minute he steps outside the Manor gate, ZZS is clearly the person in control of this faceoff, and the only reason he’s headed back to Jin in leg irons and a cage is because he’s allowing it to happen. I have a whole … thing about Zhang Zhehan’s physicality as an actor that I’m working on putting into words. Maybe next time. Also, just an aside, I cannot thank Zhang Zhehan enough for having his hair long during filming so that they’re able to integrate his hair into his wig and keep his natural hairline. It looks so much better than the typical wig sideburn look, and this scene is one of the places where it particularly strikes me, for some reason.
Last but not least, AAAHHHHHH. OH MY GOD. Stranger Danger in WKX’s dreams/memories was AWFUL YIFU. Zhao Jing, you really are THAT AWFUL.

top 5 cql xiyao moments
OH MAN okay....so I'm going to play this on hard mode and not include the temple OR any of ep 4 because otherwise this would be /overwhelmed/ by temple and then ep 4 but!!! Let's see
1) the moment in EP 10 where MY has been stabbed, is lying there fairly checked out during WC's villain monologue, and then WC talks about CR being in RUINS and???? MY thinks Lan-zongzhu! ??? And is visibly looking more towards WC after?
I offer you this photographic journey:
Last shot of him before:
Lan-zongzhu! And the face journey:
After, visibly looking more towards WC:
Like!!!! For LXC it was instantaneous while for MY it was merely ludicrously fast, but he loves him!!! So much!!!!! God!!!!!!! They're just!!!!!
2) The handkerchief scene....UGH for the way JGY is treated :((( /but/ I love LXC offering him a handkerchief because of course he does and the way they use the opportunity to sneak a touch. They are just!!! So ridiculously touchy with each other!!!!
Like. LOOK at their fingers there, god!!!
3) Okay this is probably going to seem an odd moment but. Their first onscreen meeting with JGY as JGY, in episode 23. What, I mean the one before JGY has all those Wen killed? Yes! That's exactly what I mean. I really strongly disagree with the usual interpretation that LXC doesn't know JGY is going to have the Wen killed, for a few different reasons—
First of all, they literally just agreed to kill the Wen who /are/ a threat. The Wen we see look young and healthy and are under heavy guard; for a contrast, you can look at the Wen Zixun is killing in I think pretty much the next scene, who are clearly, like, the elderly and children and so forth, and on the run from him and like...six other cultivators? They're hunting them for sport >:/ Really not under heavy guard like the ones we see JGY have killed. And Zixun tells LWJ that Nie-zongzhu and Lan-zongzhu agreed to the killing of all the Wen who were connected to (? had some information about?) the Yin Iron, so! Second, politically it makes no sense! JGS literally just used the agreement brokered to strengthen the Jin-Lan alliance (through JGY and LXC, and JGS' agreement) at the expense of the Nie-Lan alliance (NMJ's anger!!!) Having JGY kill Wen they didn't agree to kill, /secretly/, it's like....what the heck does that gain JGS? If it gets out, it could endanger the LXC-JGY connection, and it would probably piss off NMJ too, because it was done in secret and it was going against JGY and JGS' agreement with LXC!! What on earth would it gain JGS??? I can imagine /not/ agreeing to spare some as like, a flex, but agreeing to spare some and then secretly having them immediately killed... Especially since we know that some Wen are in fact spared!!! And especially so BADLY secretly. JGY was very recently second-in-command of Nightless City! Are you seriously telling me he couldn't arrange something better than BLOOD on the STEPS????
(also it's not a case of like, the thing JGS gains is JGY doing all the dirty work because...again, basically the next scene is Zixun killing off defenseless babies and elderly etc. So uh. This particular dirty work doesn't need JGY to do it :( )
I'm not saying it's not horrifible! It's absolutely horrible. But it's horrible in the way cultivation society can be horrible, and LXC knows.
ON THE OTHER HAND, and this is part of the reason it's making my top five, sorry about the rant—look at the exchange xiyao have. It's neat! It's tidy! It's so neat. It's—practiced? Idk, to me it sure looks like they worked this out ahead of time!!! Xiyao!!!! Doing their little political in-tune dances!!!! God I love them!!!!!! They're just—they work /so/ well together.
(also in the little bit where it's just the two of them after LXC STICKS HIS HANDS UP JGY'S SLEEVES. Like!!!! Ugh!!!!! Touchy!!!!! Granted the cut shows LXC's hands in a v different position afterwards but you have to pick and this one is longest so.)
And it's also like.... thematically...you know, LXC is in that room making bargains. And he's not—there trying to extend Lan power or anything! He's literally just trying to stop the Wen from all being killed. And—he achieves this, actually! But only by engaging with this real moral awfulness, by agreeing to things that are awful. But that's the way it has to be accomplished, right! It's thematic!!
4) AUGH. OKAY. There is no black and white. That whole thing.
"I thought with my lifetime finishing reading what Lan clan store means discerning the rules of everything in the world. But I found out even if I finished all existing books, there are still so many puzzles in the world. There are no set rules. There wasn't a clear line between right and wrong." "What makes us human can't be judged simply as right or wrong but lies in himself. As we evaluate others, we shall not label them as black or white, but know their deep intention inside." AUGH. HIM. THEM!!!!!
5) that little look LXC gets when JGY is giving his speech/inviting people to the Phoenix Mountain Crowd Hunt at the banquet!
Like. He knows it's a move for Jin power!! His feelings about the hunt are not exactly uniformly positive!!! but he also gets this little look of appreciation right at the end because it's also JGY being skilled and he does admire and appreciate that!!!! UGH, GOD!!!! THEM!!!!!!
#...it turns out this is not my top five because I'm like. EVERY XIYAO MOMENT IN CQL IS MY TOP FIVE.#the bit where he grasps his shoulder reaasuringly!!!! showing up together at the hunt!!!!! sharing a toast at the banquet!!!#literally every moment they interact tbh...#BUT this seemed a good collection#a gentle warmth filling the deepest of needs#the best of men#more than one tag could contain

Ep12 Hometown Cha Cha Cha
I'm actually crying seeing the ending.🥲
Everything was overwhelmed.
And that was no preview in Netflix. Speedily to YouTube
youtube
Where can I find hong du shik in real life???
He is so perfect and I love him truly..well not perfect as he has some mysterious past that yet to be unravel..probably next week as anonymous women appear and she's old and I'm scare😅😅😅 first I thought it was his mother , than I thought his parents died already..apparently this anonymous women is the one that buy du shik the black suit.
And the opening where he seeing himself and hearing baby noise ..my worrying increase..I'm scare genuinely for the mysterious past but I just want to know why he said he does not deserve happiness.
And thank God hye Jin was there when he had the nightmare.
Althought we have sweet opening in the begining, but the writer put back du shik nightmare as he still not recover from it
The sweetness also topped with Du shik jealousy that I understand in du shik position.
But director Ji make du shik understand that he's the lucky one instead.☺️
Also the bucket list of hye Jin💜🥰
The main for tonight is du shik bucket list that make me overwhelmed plus a kiss..thank you writernim and TVN😍😍😍
Du shik so sweet.😍😍😍
I was afraid he gonna said other thing
But Im so happy when he said I love u first to hye Jin🥰🥰🥰
Maybe I'm panicking or I'm just preparing my heart early coz next ep going to be bitter.
So let's prepare our hearts❤️

The Untamed, episode 39 - watching notes
How did this show manage to make me care for these characters in about one episode???
Xue Yang is 100 kinds of creepy
How does he disappear like that? That's a power we haven't seen on this show yet
This whole revenge plot is waaay too convoluted to be only about revenge
Ohoh ... this silence is too ominous
I love how A-Qing still has her rebellious streak, even in death
This is too easy ... he won't die just like this, right?
Holy shit his arm!! 😱😱😱
Um ... sorry but, it's really obvious that the actor just has his arm tugged under his clothes 😅
Whaaaaaaaat???
He's not the guy under the mask???
Who???
Who is that and why does he want the stygian tiger amulet???
I was so sure that that was him
Lan and Jin sword style? I'm wreaking my brain right now who has a strong connection to both, but I'm coming up empty
Oh no, a qing :'(
This is such a brilliant shot! Goosebumps! All over!
And wow
All the awards for song lan's actor 😥
I am ... fascinated by Xue Yang's backstory. Like ... the guy is a goddamn sociopath
With the parallels of his backstory to wwx it's almost like he's wwx without his good heart 😥
So ... all of this is a direct consequence of what happened when they met them in the flashback?
But this isn't how "human affairs" should go or even normally do! Obviously, xue Yang isn't a reliable narrator at all, but all I want to do is wrap Xiao Xingchen in my arms and tell him that not all his good faith in humanity was misplaced 💔
"Stupid, naive, dumb idiots like you, who think the world is a better place just because they did something good!"
But it is!!!! The world on it's own, without humans, isn't inherently good or evil! It is what it is. Good or evil, that's up to us! In the face of the endless indifference of the universe, every act of kindness tips the scale towards a better world!
(Sorry, my atheism is showing)
And that's why I will always have infinitely more respect for the Xiao Xingchens of the world than the cruel and bitter Xue Yangs.
Oh fuck no
No, this will break him, won't it? 😰
Oh no 😭😭😭😭
Oh no
Honey...
"Say something..."
Oh god
Does this show want to set some kind of record for must characters severely traumatised in 50 episodes???
Noooo
No
Fuck
When I wrote that I hadn't seen yet ...
He ... killed himself
I am crying so hard right now and I feel like I haven't even really processed the full tragedy of this arc yet
What is Xue Yang doing?
This is so weird. He honestly looks at Xiao Xingchen like he is a doting husband waiting for him to come home
Ohhh
And now it makes sense that he wanted wwx to restore his soul
And why his soul didn't want to be restored ... because he killed himself. He doesn't want to come back 😥
The way this looks ... that can't be an accident
So NOW he's grieving. Because he can't bring Xiao Xingchen back, can't control him. Xue Yang has such a screwed psychy, it's fascinating ... in a very disturbing way
Wow, he's damaged ...
Oh no ... the candy ... THE CANDY!!!
Holy shit ... what even am I supposed to feel right now? 😨😨😨
Trying to parse that out, I feel like (and this is just my first impressionof thus and my very raw thoughts)... Xiao Xingchen and his kindness they did touch Xue Yang. But he was ill-equipped to deal with whatever feelings they stirred in him, because he had already been so twisted by the world and his own actions. And so he expressed his love the same way he expressed everything: with obsession and the desire to posses and control.
Honestly, I need some more time to really process this ...
They buried A Qing 😭
Oh, Lan Jingyi. I didn't know you had it in you 💚💚💚
Oh god, the Juniors are ALL so soft! 😭
Oh god I want to know so badly. What did Lan Wangji want to say??? "Fortunately... this wasn't us" "Fortunately... you came back to me"? 😭
Omg ... this is a parallel right? From behind they might as well be song lan and Xiao Xingchen!
Oh song lan 💔
The way he takes the pouch 🥺
And Lan Wangji's look. Maybe I'm imagining too much into this but ... if that's not a man intimately aware of what he's going through
"Roam the world. Exorcise evil beings alongside Xingchen."
I can't guys, I'm crying so hard right now 💔💔💔
Holy shit Lan Wangji's actor's performance as he hands him the sword 😭😭😭
IT IS A PARALLEL! 😭😭
look at the screenshot up there again!!
I'm ugly crying so hard right now 😭😭😭
Gimme a moment ...
Tge music in the next scene is really unusual for this show, almost jarring after I've just bawled my eyes out
What is that?
An entrance?
Okay no, not an entrance
Who is that????
Aardgfdgh
The Juniors!!!
The scenery us so pretty :)
Waitwaitwait ... I have a suspicion... no ... nooooo? It can't be ...
The butterfly toy ...
And the comments in the last episode fit, too ... 😳😳😳
OH MY GOOOOOOOD!!!!
The shot of the little flying thing! That's in that restaurant, right??
The comment about remembering stuff from when you're three!
IS HE A YUAN????
@sweetlittlevampire IS HE A YUAN??? 😱😱😱
I'm crying again you guys
Of course he is! It all makes sense
And omg, lan Wangji with the bunny lantern 😭😭😭
And now wwx remembers A Yuan and... the LOOK!!! The song!!! The bunnies!!!
The smile 😭😭😭😭
"Let's buy it" "Okay"
They're a family, you guys!!!! They're a family and I'm ... so ... so emotional!!! 😭😭😭
So much softness between them!!! 💙🖤💙🖤
And wwx smiles as brightly as before this whole mess and ...
Holy shit this episode you guys!!!
First I cry out of sheer devastation and now I feel like my heart is ready to burst!
And it FITS!!!
wangxian got the happy ending Xiao Xingchen and song lan never did. They reunited and even though they spent many years apart they have a real chance now!!!
And this, their child, this is the pay off.
I'm listening to the new album by Nightwish (my favourite band) all the time right now and in their song "How's the heart?" Is this line "now there's one who came from me / A child of light, another tale" and I can't help but think of that right now! The whole song is about how it is worth it, going through the bleak times, fighting through your own darkness because there is light and love at the end of it. It's worth it to keep fighting, just so we can keep meeting others with love. And I can't help but think of little A Yuan/ Lan Sizuhi (and god, I'm almost bursting at the fact that I can write that line!!) As their manifestation of that love. Their "child of light" :')
And even with Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan ... there is this slight hopeful feeling of "we will meet again", if not in this life than in the next ...
Guys, I'm so emotional right now
Sorry for the tengant. It probably doesnt make much sense put in writing 💚
I'm so sad and so happy at the same time ... :')
Oh god, lan Wangji with the lantern is so unimaginably cute!!!
And they gave it to Lan Sizhui!!!
SYMBOLISM!! 😭😭😭
Now, this should be interesting
How much does lan Xichen even know at this point?
Ohhh! That was nie Mingjue in the coffin earlier!
Why is he buried in Yi City???
I'm so confused right now!
(But don't tell me the answers. As always, these are rhetorical questions ;))
Ohhh ...
I have a suspicion about the ghost faced man
And apparently I'm not the only one
He has been "discussing" things with you every single night. Aha 😏
Sorry, this is serious 😬
(This has nothing to do with anything but I paused the stream to type and this was the image I got. I thought i should share :D)
Lan Xichen is so deep in denial
Poor guy
And again with the parallels! There is another Lan who has stuck to someone with a bad reputation and he's standing right there
And jin ling is conveniently reminding us of that 😐
So much drama
OMG!
That was smooth!
No, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Just, "Wei-gongze" :D
"Don't take it to heart"
MY HEART!!!
I feel like Lan Wangji isn't the only Lan who will suffer an aneurysm from repressed emotions one day
@sweetlittlevampire @fandom-glazed @elenirlachlagos @allhailthedramallama @luckymoony @kyrrahbird @i-love-him-on-purpose and @sxnshot (should I tag you again next ep? No hard feelings if not 😊)
Honestly, this ep was the most emotional one for me so far in terms of the whiplash from pain and joy it gave me, though I certainly cried harder at the Yunmeng massacre. The prevailing emotion is joy now, though. I am such a sucker for mismatched, found families and wangxian and their child of light isn't exactly that, I don't know what is. I'm going to sleep with a smile on my face now. 💚

The Rebel Princess review/ spoilers upto ep 12
Under the cut
At the end of 12 episodes I have to say I’m..underwhelmed. I mean, I knew going into a 68 episode drama that it was going to be really slow for most parts, but it’s still hard going even with low expectations.
I think the first thing that threw me was Zhang Ziyi playing a 15 year old. Don’t get me wrong- I don’t think it’s her looks per se that make it unbelievable-she’s incredibly youthful and beautiful, of course. And I’m well aware of the sexist double standards re: casting, and I’ve generally always hated it when older actors are cast in roles of teenagers or people about two decades younger than they are! It’s just that I don’t think she’s suited to the cutesy/naive A’wu that we meet in the initial episodes. You can see the effort she’s putting into it and that makes it all the more apparent that she isn’t that character. I just didn’t buy into the performance, I think. It’s only in episode 12, in the scene where she learns about her father’s and aunt’s lies re: Xiao Qi that I felt that spark you feel when an actor is totally in sync with their character in a scene. (Her earlier “big scene” after the wedding felt more ho-hum to me, though heaps more engaging than anything that had gone on before then.)
But Zhang Ziyi’s strained performance is not the only problem I’ve had with this part; it’s that fundamentally I just can’t buy into the idea that A’wu is the person she is when we meet her- seemingly utterly unaware of how the society around her works, or her position in it? She’s reached marriageable age- though not by modern standards of course- i.e. she’s entered into adulthood, and is presumably not unintelligent or entirely blind, but she seems downright surprised by the fact that she should be expected to marry for reasons other than love, or that other people around her, in her family even, have done so. I can buy that she thought she would be the exception to the rule, because she has been pampered all her life, but she seems actually astonished that the rule exists! Or that other people may be ok with not marrying for love, but have other considerations (See early conversation with Xie Wanru regarding Xiao Qi). It speaks to a laziness of characterization/ world building for me. We are meant to accept A’wu’s incredible naivete re: marriage as plausible for a woman of her age and societal position, in the same breath that we have to accept the multiple rape/ threatened rape storylines as historically accurate/ plausible because women were tightly controlled as a class. Watch me roll my eyes so hard that they’re falling off my face.
But I’m hoping to god that now that we’ve put the “woman-child” part of the story behind us, things will improve!
The other thing I feel that keeps me..whelmed..is the general pov choices. The story is ostensibly being told by A’wu- she is literally narrating it to the audience. Yet for extended periods we have to leave her pov to get all the plot machinations in place. There’s also a time skip of approximately 6-8 months after her marriage to when we meet her next; in that time, she seems to have made peace with the fact that the great love of her life whom she sacrificed her life for turned out to be a wuss, and also somehow magically “grown up”. The naive A’wu we saw has disappeared and instead we have grown up A’wu who’s quite capable of manipulation and running a household (and from spoilers I’ve seen, become adept at military strategy etc). I mean, it’s GREAT, for the character, but the transition feels sudden, presented like a fait accompli. I wish we’d gotten to see those 6-8 months in Huizhou is what I’m saying, or even earlier hints of her talents and interests. But we were stuck in “I’m a young, pampered princess in love, I have no thoughts beyond getting married” mode for like ten episodes. If they’d laid a little more ground then, and also given us some more of those 6-8 months, I would have enjoyed it. But then, I suppose that requires an entire different kind of story telling focus. This show, despite being titled “The Rebel Princess” doesn’t seem to really be about *her *. That’s probably an expectation mismatch between me and the show (I haven’t read the novel or any of the press/ previews etc), so I’m having to swallow my disappointment a bit!
As usual, and this is specifically a me thing, I admit, I’m more interested in the “supporting” characters than in the leads. And again, specifically me-thing, I love the awful ones the MOSTEST.
I LOVE Wang Lin. I love the actor, I love the scheming, and I honestly think he’s literally the only character that makes any kind of sense in this story so far. Am I supposed to be horrified that he’s willing to barter his daughter for retaining the family’s power? On the contrary, I think A’wu needed a solid dose of reality and maybe a little time living her maid’s life so that she could understand just how right her dad is. *shrug hands emoji * . I’m 50 x more interested in Wang Lin and Jin Ruo’s Terrible and Complicated Marriage than in Xiao Qi and A’wu making doe-eyes at each other, sorry, not sorry.
I also love Xie Wanru; I know she’s probably going to come to a terrible end, after getting her shot at being Supporting Villainess until the Real Main (Male) Villain can fully take over etc. Still, she has done nothing wrong in her life and I fully support her in her quest for revenge.
Su Jin Er’s story in Ep 11/12 was incredibly poignant and heartbreaking for me; even though I objectively understand that what she did to Zidan was rape. I know she’s also being set up as plot point for Xie Wanru’s villainy to bloom, and idk, will probably die in the next few episodes. Alas. I shall have to write the fic where Su Jin Er survives her punishment and goes on to live happily ever after with a beautiful boy of her choice and lots of money from idk black market trading of grain or something, I accept this and I will do it.
Surprise entrant for GIRL I AM ROOTING WITH ALL MY HEART FOR is A’wu’s sister in law, who’s fucking the second prince and refusing to produce a Wang clan heir right under the nose of that Incredibly Smart Villain Daddy Wang Lin; honestly that reveal was the best second best thing the show has done so far.
The best thing the show has done so far was when a giant bat swooped down and kidnapped A’wu from the marketplace in ep 11...I was HOLLERING.
Anyways, I am going to keep watching mostly for my queen Zhang Ziyi, spoilers I’ve seen in the tag indicate that the next set of episodes will be actually good? *cross fingers *

ranking every single asian drama/series/movie that i have ever watched
(this isn’t 100% accurate cuz I’ve decided to include shows that are still airing and they may move up or down on the list once they’ve finished airing. Shows with multiple seasons/spin-offs will be counted as one unless I decided that they’re too different to be in one rank. And lastly, I don’t dislike the shows that are low on the list—unless I explicitly say so—I’ve just watched a shitload of dramas, so don’t attack me if ur fave is at 26 or smth lmao)
I did my best to keep the explanations short and avoid spoilers
1. The Gifted
Are you surprised? Do I even need to explain?
2. HIStory 3: Trapped
Again, should be pretty self-explanatory. The plot? The acting? The tropes? Utter perfection.
3. 3 Will Be Free
Haha. 3wbf... is 3rd place. It’s just amazing and so criminally underrated.
4. Until We Meet Again
I LOVE THIS SHOW SM I WATCHED IT 7 TIMES KLJFSLKJDFS I JUST LOVE IT PLUS FLUKE’S ACTING AND DEANPHARM ARE JUST SO HEALTHY AND WHOLESOME AND CARING I LOVE THEM.
5. He’s Coming To Me

6. The Untamed
I know it’s shocking that this isn’t higher up IM SORRY OKAY but this show was so good i cried so much lksjlfjdsfdjlkf GOD TIER.
7. Theory of Love
G O D L Y. It has the best scenes that just punch you in the gut and make you cry while you think about them at night.
8. Great Men Academy
WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS SHOW. anyways i would die for tangmo.
9. Cherry Magic
MY FAVOURITE ON AIR SHOW. It’s so fucking good and it’s sooooo relatable and cute and fun and just GOOD. Ugh it’s a whole blessing. Literally the concept is also just amazing, plus the representation is actually accurate?? LIKE ITS SO RELATABLE JLSJFKJKJKD AND REAL. AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SO KLJLKFJDLKJLSKJD.
10. I Told Sunset About You
THE SETS ARE SO PRETTY. THE VISUALS. ASTOUNDING. THE ACTING KSLJFKJLDF. It exceeded my expectations holy crap and the chinese culture incorporated into it feels so nice and genuine. literally i watched some of it today before my chinese class lmao. OMG AND THE OST.
11. Mr. Heart
ugh this show stole my heart (pun intended).
12. Dark Blue Kiss
SO. GODDAMN. UNDERRATED. THE WAY IT ACCURATELY REPS LGBTQ+ YOUTH’S RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR PARENTS AND COMING OUT AND EXPECTATIONS G O D L Y
13. Oxygen
SOFT. HEALTHY. CUTE. H E I G H T D I F F E R E N C E.
14. 2gether
would’ve been higher if it werent for the last two episodes of the show, but still2gether redeemed it quite a bit.
15. HIStory 2: Crossing The Line
QIU ZIXUAN LKDSJFLDJLJFDKJSLJ CUTE AS FUCK.
16. Where Your Eyes Linger
tHAT OST. AND THE LAST SCENE. I MEAN SHIT SLJFSDKJFLSDJFK.
17. HIStory 2: Right or Wrong
it’s so soft and at first i was so hesitant to watch it with the age gap but it was surprisingly like really healthy? and like the mom with the fruit knife?
18. Love By Chance
IM SORRY I PUT THIS SO LOW its just that klano and tumtar were not my cup of tea and i watched it mostly for aepete only for them to be apart at the end of season 1. I like season 2 but this time i only have tincan...
19. Gameboys
okay i was going to put this way higher because ITS SO FUCKING GOOD LITERALLY but then again i felt more impressed/attached to the ones above... BUT LITERALLY PEARL AND CAIREEL ARE JUST SDLSJDFSKDFL THE BEST.
20. Sotus
If i could put multiple shows in one rank i would but ive decided not too cuz then there would only be 6 ranks with 10 shows in each one... that’s why sotus is so low TT SORRY I LOVE IT BUT I LOVE OTHER SHOWS A LITTLE MORE.
21. 2Moons2
it was enjoyable. I didn’t like the main couple much tho.
22. Red Wine In The Dark Night
omg this movie i really liked it especially the ending it was really symbolic and i really like slight-horror type things. also FLUKE !!!! a KING of acting.
23. Transit Girls
SOFT WLW.
24. My Engineer
don’t get me wrong i love this show BUT it’s yet another engineering concept and i just don’t see it going above the other dramas...
25. Why R U
the plot was messy but the chemistry between the actors saved the entire show.
26. TharnType
I KNOW ITS LOW DONT KILL ME the plot was good but i don’t like how lhong was painted as a misunderstood little boi like HE IS A CRIMINAL DONT GIVE HIM A REDEMPTION ARC AND DONT TRY TO MAKE ME PITY HIM. also the non-con was uncomfy as hell.
27. A Round Trip To Love
THE CINEMATOGRAPHY AND SYMBOLISM ON GOD ISLJFDLJD. i don’t see this movie as like... an example of a healthy relationship... but the story itself is really interesting and the way the characters change yet stay the same is cool.
28. The Shipper
i enjoyed watching it but i dont think i could rewatch it. it was good nonetheless, i don’t regret watching it at all.
29. Together With Me
it’s good. but the side plots/side couples were not it. yihwa is a queen tho.
30. Ingredients
SOOOOO CUTE LSKJFDKJJF. but the plot is kinda nonexistent but IT DOESNT MATTER CUZ ITS CUTE AND FLUFFY AND UWU AND JEFF.
31. The Effect
this show gave me depression but damn the theme was so real.
32. Guardian
everything was going great until the jin ling dude got a girlfriend and the end happened.
33. History 3: Make Our Days Count
i was spoiled for the ending and it ruined my watching experience TT
34. YYY
i love it
35. Addicted
It was my first bl drama and i really liked it but again the non-con/kidnapping thing makes me uncomfy. also IT WAS DISCONTINUED IM SO SAD SLKDJFLSKJDFKSJD IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER THEN WAS CANCELLED TT
36. Make It Right
fuse took too long to break up with his gf honestly oasflsajdfaldj bUT FRAME AND BOOK.
37. My Gear And Your Gown
CUTE but its another engineering x medical student trope and it’s still airing so i dont have too much of an opinion on it.
38. Pearl Next Door
its still airing (only 2 eps are out as of the time im writing this) and istg if pearlex isnt endgame im suing.
39. Friend Zone

44. En Of Love
tossara was my fave cuz they cute and healthy.
45. As If You Whisper
it was so short but so nice TT.
46. I’m Tee, Me Too
still airing... kinda pointless?
47. 2 Moons
the acting... oof
48. My Dream
it started out so promising but THE FUCKING ENDING WAS LKSDJFLKS
49. Kiss + Kiss Me Again
I only watched the petekao scenes lmao.
50. History 1: Away From Me
cutee
51. History 1: Obsession
interesting?
52. HIStory 1: My Hero
fine
53. My Day
i dropped it... tell me if i should get back into it cuz i kinda just wasn’t feeling it.
54. Lily Fever
cute wlw but it made no sense?
55. Hotel Stars
sorta dry lmao
56. The Best Twins
i dropped it but thor was epic
57. Reminders
PERTH’S ACTING KSJLFDJL but like what was the point? idk it was kinda frustrating.
58. 2Wish
i honestly don’t even remember what happened lmao
