I have some concepts made and I am thinking of making some comics so that the questions to the characters can begin, I hope you like this, if you have any questions or an idea you can give it!

Hello! I was reading through your bullfarm au posts and came across the hucow appearance post which reminds my interest to draw em, just wasn't so confident w/ how I drew human back then ^^;
So here's how I imagined them feat Ingo and Emmet since they're my blorbos (with a few of my own HCs sprinkled in), I'm not sure if they have any specific coat color so I just give em the same grey as their hair, also ken dolls anatomy bc Tumblr would not like the alternate vers I did lol šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«
Sorry for the long rambling. Love your stuffs btw! Keep up the great work!

AAAAH OMG!!
The different tail colors is a very nice touch! They look exactly how I imagine them!!

I feel like that you intentionally stopped to continue with the fourth encounter for now to show us all the previous encounter drawn to increase the impact of this encounter. (Or that this encounter just takes so much longer considering the amount of detail you always use, either way I love all the updates on this au)
Can we just take a moment to talk about how the Woodsman lights up at the mention of Lady Sneasler? I feel like we are just getting a brief glimpse of the Ingo we all know here. He is usually buried so deep under the pressure and stress of maintaining the Lamp, loneliness, a lot of guilt, sadness and anger.
The few tears he sheds are also proof of that. He regrets his actions so much but maintaining the lamp has become his sole priority because of the failure of saving his brother and the hope of maintaining his soul in the lamp would make up for his ultimate failure. (or so he was told and make to believe)
Emmet really does challenge the Woodsman in all of their encounter and actually reaching Ingo more and more until he actually managed to get trough, hitting him with the reality the Woodsman fought hard against and bringing back up Ingo who is going to try and make it up to Emmet (after saving him and also becoming aware of the cruel reality of the origin of the Edelwood) by challenging the Beast. Likely already ready to make a sacrifice for Emmet and everyone he had wronged in the past.
I love this AU so much! It has so much darkness and angst but in such an entertaining way. This is the ultimate test to the brotherly bond between Ingo and Emmet. Their brotherly love for each other is stronger than everything the unknown has to offer even if we have close calls.
Thank you for the update and Iā€™m looking forward to seeing the next one! (I know itā€™s definitely going to go south again in the second encounterā€¦ very south. But Iā€™m here for it!)
Deep down, the Woodsman is still very much the same old Ingo. He still cares deeply about the people and PokĆ©mon he left behind and that will never change no matter how much he isolates himself from them in favor of his duties. Even this little bit of news about his former Nobleā€™s well-being is such a relief that he briefly forgets all of his antagonism towards Emmet. Ingo is still in there under the layers of pain and guilt and anger, but reaching that part him is truly a battle.
Lucky for him, Emmet is stubborn as hell. After all, he likes winning more than anything else and winning back his brotherā€™s trust is a challenge he refuses to turn down. He knows him inside and out, amnesia be damned. Emmet definitely could have eventually convinced the Woodsman of the truth if the Edelwood burn hadnā€™t robbed him of his willpower.
Btw, thanks again so much for your amazing comments! Theyā€™re a joy to read and I love the insights you offer! Youā€™re the best! 83
(You are correct about the Fourth Encounter being way more intricately detailed and therefore far more time consuming and intimidating to work on. Which is a bit silly considering I avoid backgrounds and canā€™t be bothered to panel things properly. Itā€™sā€¦ been difficult.)
(As for my constant jumping around in story points, I blame ADHD brain. Which also seems to be allergic to linear progressionā€¦ :/)

Random thoughts on when Ingo can control his form. Since in this AU Ingo is supposed to be able to switch between sneasel and humN!
When Ingo can finally control his ability to shift between sneasel and human i think he uses his sneasel form to find good napping spots!
Maybe if him and Emmet are traveling he prefers to travel as a sneasel. Takes up less room and he gets to nap on his brothers lap!
Emmet is 100% jealous of this btw. ā€œWhy does Ingo get to sit comfortably on my lap while i have to sit here in the crowded space!ā€
Now that Ingo can control it Emmet messes with him more. If Emmet finds Ingo napping somewhere as a sneasel Emmet goes out of his way to put a bow on Ingo feather. He carries little ribbons around just for it.
I love the idea that Emmet jumpscares Ingo and he just shifts into a sneAsel! Ingo tripped and when he hits the floor hes a sneasel.
Ingo having a bad day? Spends the whole time hiding some place high up till he feels better.
He goes to mess with Emmet when its time for paper work by turning into a sneasel to get out of it.
Ingo can finally translate for Emmet and his pokemon. ā€œOh Emmet they said you suck! Oh whats that mhmm mhmm yes i agree i am the better brother!ā€ He doesnt always but sometimes he just annoys Emmet with it.

If you would please give us divine intervention au plot!!
i ABSOLUTELY will thank you SO MUCH for asking (not sarcasm). sorry in advance but i have been unable to think about literally anything else for three days. i cannot stop rotating these two in my head. long post so buckle up
As for Elesa and Emmet, they were kind of just dragging along and keeping each other afloat for a few years. Emmet was running himself ragged keeping both the singles and doubles lines running, because if he stopped moving he knew he wouldnā€™t be able to start up again. Elesa was taking on extra work and occasionally running the multi line with Emmet. If sheā€™s not working, sheā€™s thinking, and if sheā€™s thinking, sheā€™s spiraling - so she keeps working. They were mostly both just trying to keep busy while holding out hope that the cops would find Ingo. Both of them refuse to grieve for someone that isnā€™t dead. At some point around the eight-ish month mark Elesa just sort of. stopped going home and informally move into the twins' house. She starts to hate quiet (the kind that comes with being alone, at least). She stays on the couch. (i see the trio as more of a sibling dynamic btw so thatā€™s what everything should be read as)
The day the officials closed Ingoā€™s case and declared him dead (which went much longer than usual - around 4 years - just because of how high profile the case was), Elesa came home to Emmet working on research on multiple possible leads at once and didnā€™t think twice before taking some off of his hands. Emmet is the one who realizes (two days into their bender) that they should call out of work. Itā€™s the first time either of them have used extended vacation time. Also, itā€™s worth noting that Emmet has not gone nearly as batshit as like, common fanon (which I wholeheartedly support btw i DO think he should be allowed to make his way to heaven through violence to fight god) because Elesa is right there with him from the start. Heā€™s living with another human who has ALSO been steadily reaching the end of her rope at the same time as him. So, like, theyā€™re socialized. More or less.
So basically, Zekrom tunes in to these two humans running entirely on ideals, spite, and coffee and decides this is absolutely a storyline it wants to follow. It's like a shitty soap opera you start watching simply because it's on, but then twenty hours later of straight consumption later you've become irreversibly attached to these characters and fully immersed in their drama. It has a selfless reason for everything it does, including (especially) the more selfish-appearing acts, such as annoying Emmet or purposefully withholding information, since despite its more chaotic nature, it DOES wish to see these two succeed in finding their brother. Especially after it starts to actually like them.
Iā€™m thinking Zekrom is just kinda vibing for a couple weeks, keeping the two on track while also subtly slowing them down. It tries to kick Elesa off the couch and she wins THAT fight by a landslide, to which Zekrom pretty much just goes ā€œokay youā€™re my trainer now. now find me somewhere to sleep.ā€ Then when the lake trio show up in Unova, Zekrom puts Emmet and Elesa on their trail. It canā€™t like, straight up tell them where Ingo is (because it doesnā€™t know) or send them back in time (because that isnā€™t within its power and also it doesnā€™t know), but it CAN be a homie. A bro. Itā€™s got connections.
Shenanigans ensue. At some point, they stop thinking of themselves as ā€œEmmet and Elesaā€ and they become ā€œEmmet and Elesa and Zekromā€, just in time for Bad Things to happen :)
This isnā€™t actually like, a plot thing, but I like to imagine that Reshiram feels Zekrom disappear from the timeline and goes, ā€œoh you have GOT to be fucking kidding me.ā€
Which reminds me; clarification, just because I know what the expectation is: Reshiram isnā€™t involved in this. I see Zekrom as the more social of the two, so it has no problem hopping on board another humanā€™s train so soon, but Reshiram got woken up and then immediately had to work with some kid to keep some OTHER kid from using Zekrom to end the world. Itā€™s on good terms with the champion, but it has no interest in interacting with any humans for the next century, except for like, Sunday afternoon tea with the champion. So, no, Emmet doesnā€™t get Reshiram. Elesa grabs the Zekrom aesthetic as soon as humanely possible (she needs a new outfit for travel anyway), and if need be, they say itā€™s her pokemon, but itā€™s more the third member of their little group rather than one of the humansā€™ pokemon. The pokeball is just for convenienceā€™s sake, and the moment Zekrom wants to leave it, it will. So think of it more like ā€œcreatures of various levels of deification keep moving into Emmetā€™s house and NONE of them are asking him firstā€ rather than ā€œElesa gets one of the legendary dragons and Emmet gets jack shitā€
Fuck this got long lmao. Anyway, theyā€™ll find Ingo, and itā€™ll have a happy ending. Eventually.

oh yeah, i did another au a few days ago bcuz of @maxphilippa
so beeg credits to them cuz this now exist šŸ˜†
it's just your normal average angels & demons AU but tlm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but bcuz it's just a normal average angels & demons AU of the Lego movie, i stepped up my game and it's now also the ghost au but bad
and since there's no such thing as angel/demon ghosts, here's a very long story short, lazy and messy explanation
ā€¢
Emmet is just a normal angel,
Lucy is an angel with horns (like alice angel from bendy and the ink machine. cux yes)
Rex is a devil that was once an angel, and yes, he's still Emmet from the future
ā€¢
uhh, his backstory, it's still like the movie, but they're all angels and devils,.. (btw, this is not like a bible related stuff, they're just angels and devils here hfhfjsksj)
so there was a war or apocalypse like in the movie, the systarians there are like,.. demons. but they're nice demons, just very bad at communicating
so yeah, it's kinda like all the same in the movie, Emmet trying to save them but instead of building a ship, he just flies there
the place is like, clouds and stuff and there's this barrier between them and the systarians that are the demons, the barrier is like the stairgate too, hahah
so, he when was flying to save them, he got crashed like in the movie, but the reason he crashed is cuz the wind current there is messy and strong, so he can't control his flying, he then got hit by the glassteroid and landed in Undar which is a bad place for angels, cuz its hard to escape there and when you stay there for years or so, you'll turn into a devil, no matter how pure you are (cuz idk, the pure you are, the more devilish you'll become i guess)
so Emmet became a devil and now goes by Rex. he still did the time travel thing, but without the whole machine thing, just with his new magic devilish powers
in that movie's ending, Rex also did that disappearing sh1t, but he just turned invisible.
so in the au, it's kinda like the same but instead of being a ghost, Rex is just āœØinvisibleāœØ
so hmmm... how does the dang au work then if there's no ghost lmao?
welll.... Rex still possessed Emmet, and instead of Emmet being a ghost, he is just stuck in his head, kinda like GCBC but Emmet can't take control
so yeah, this guy now exists and is living in the human realm to hide there but he disguises himself like a human, he mostly just makes his halo and wings go invisible, thus the reason why his clothes are like that
Tumblr media
when Rex first possessed Emmet in this one, the changes of appearance isnt that noticable yet, but as the time goes on and how much slightly evil he's acting, his wings just started to have this black fade appearing same with his hair and right hand, thus him started to wear a glove on that said hand
yeah, it's kinda like the same story in the bad ghost au but they're just angels, devils and demons here šŸ˜†
and he hides in the deep forest in the human realm
also, Rex in this AU isn't building a ship or planning to escape, he's just pretty much living and hiding in the human realm hoping that no one (which is Lucy and the others) would find him
he's like, living in the deep forest but sometimes visits the village or town nearby just to walk around and stuff, so yeah, he's just chillin
Emmet can talk to Rex in his mind. Rex can also talk to him or just in his mind.
when they're now hiding in the cabin, for like, more than 2 months, Emmet and Rex are now just bonding cuz Rex doesnt really have anyone to talk to. and cuz of that said bonding, Rex then let's Emmet take control from time to time, kinda like GCBC but without the head spinning part lol, but only from time to time when he's like, tired or something, he let's Emmet be the one in control while he just rest in his mind, he won't let Emmet go back to the others tho, but he does let Emmet walk around in the nearby town, but that's about it
it took them much longer to find them, in the main au, it took them 6 month, in this one, it took them for like, a year and a half, (buuuuuut in the angel/demon realm, it only took them a week)
so, yeah, Rex and Emmet are now in good terms in this one, even defended him when they finally caught them
there's two ways on how this will end
1. Rex dies like in the main one
2. they let Rex live, and now Emmet and Rex became one
but of course, we'll go with the 2nd ending cuz i have had enough with bad endings šŸ˜†āš°ļø
and since they became one, this is what he looks like now
Tumblr media
he has a berserk form too
Tumblr media
how did Rex and Emmet became one?
they talked in their dream the night a few weeks after they got accepted and now forgiven
so when they woke up, they're now just one person
ā€¢
okay, that's all i can explainnnsndhxhdsj
if i explain hybrid Emmet, it'll have more reading, k bye

For your Arceus apprentice AU, sine Emmet is Arceusā€™ apprentice, Ingo is Giratinaā€™s apprentice. (I saw ingoā€™s outfit and it looms awesome btw!!) How does that play out?
Tumblr media
DHDJRJRK OKAY SO LIKE,,,i have a few ideas but ive been in a creative stump lately djdjjd i mostly got vague ideas lmaoo
im thinking with emmet, he's hit rock bottom, last resort kinda mindset like he's got a one way ticket and if this doesn't work out its game over, he manges to find arceus and battle it, but he loses so cue a breakdown screaming for answers arceus wont give him and arceus is like confused ( or something djdj) and realizes he doesnt understand humans so he makes a deal emmet teaches arceus about humans so he can better understand them and emmet gets to see just how hard it is being almighty ( or like "hey u think u can do a better job here be my guest" ) and when arceus thinks hes ready, he'll show him ingo
as for ingo himself im not 100% if imma add him but so far its looking good! im actually working on 3 drawings that lead up to giratingo djdjd i already got one of them finished! idk if i wanna post it now or wait until im done with all cuz its like a mini (sorta) comic and its kinda hurt no comfort atm but im working on the comfort part soon!!
but to sum him up shortly without going all over the place cuz ive got a few different ideas i haven't decided on yet is that when ingo dies (long story short ingos kinda got a pokemon version of radiation poisoning due to him being brought through the rift without the right precautions like arceus did with akari or thats the game plan at least lmao) arceus feels more empathy towards him than he would normally because of emmet and decides since ingo already has some of giratina's essence that he will just make him into giratina's helper (giratina really doesn't have much lore so im making it the keeper of souls cuz djdjdj its cool) and he helps guide and transport lost souls to the distortion realm or something
fjfjfkf its all over the place atm but fjfjf yeah and ngl it might do a 180 and change but!! thats the thought so far!!

I recognize that in the Dungeons and Memories Au, they're likely sticking mostly to the story line of PLA at least for Dawn. I can see Ingo and Emmet having their own things going on as well.
I just think that it would be funny if Ingo and Emmet's characters tried to fight Kamando. Pokemon battle or fist fight, don't really care. Given how the guy is in cannon, one of them alone probably wouldn't be able to beat him. Maybe Ingo in a battle if he has his pokemon team (if they're even using pokemon) But together, depending on the character builds? They may have a shot.
But like low-key just kinda want to see them at least try to fight him. I think it would be funny.
You know, there is definitely a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes that you don't see in PLA because the player isn't involved. Like, Ingo maybe started this DnD campaign with Elesa before they added new players. Emmet has gone through three separate characters already by the time the newest young Sinnoh Champion joins, because all three died pretty fucking tragically. Emmet gets too excited and bites off more than he can chew.
(One of those characters challenged Kamado to a duel and died embarrassingly quickly. Emmet has a grudge and it WILL be relevant later during Akari's banishment. Time To Whoop His Stupid Assā€” Elesa what the FUCK do you mean I would start a WAR if I fought him?! ELESA DONā€™T YOU FUCKINGā€”)
I think it would be hilarious if Ingo succeeded where Emmet didnā€™t in battling against Kamado. Heā€™s spent so long cultivating his character, getting stronger, mastering his techniques, never dying and gaining certain immunities to poison and such.Ā
He has a high rapport with the Pearl Clan. His position as Lady Sneaslerā€™s Warden is unshakeable, regardless of clan relations. During the banishment, Ingo decides itā€™s time to shake the story up a bit. He tells Elesa he wishes to plead with Lady Irida in order to take Akari in.
When this doesnā€™t work out, Ingo chooses Drama. He has his amnesiac character take a knife and slash through the Pearl Clan symbol on his tunic. Then he goes after Akari.
Emmet, Cynthia, Skyla, and Dawn/Hikari lose their god damned minds going OOOOOOHHHH!!! Elesa is flabbergasted and is like FUCK now I gotta change SO MUCH SHIT!!! Because of fucking course she wasnā€™t expecting that, Ingoā€™s been playing for so long and has been 100% loyal to the clan so this is like??? What the FUCK Ingo?!
Anyways Ingo takes in Akari and is like... Btw my character is going to remember this action of Kamadoā€™s, so Jot That Down. Iā€™ll be making preparations to Wreck His Shit. Cynthiaā€™s internally like hold up I can still salvage this, and then has her character be like oh you wish to stick it up to Kamado? :))) I can help you with that!!!Ā

In the imposter!au, how did Ingo and Emmet meet? Did they hatch near each other on the same day or did they see a young Drayden and went ā€˜yep, thatā€™s my human formā€™ and found each other from that? Loving this au btw Iā€™m a sucker for shapeshifters
Hm! Good question.
The answer isā€¦ they werenā€™t hatched anywhere near each other (though they probably hatched at around the same time), if Ditto are even hatched (since theyā€™re, yā€™know. That.)
But they both made their way to Nimbasa City- or perhaps some other city. They ran into each other now and again, became friendly on account of both being able to transform. They probably shared food they got when they could, ran around, got up to mischief.
And eventually, they grew close. Probably over the time span of a year? A couple of months? (They didnā€™t exactly keep track of time back then.)
And they started talking. About things theyā€™d overheard, seen, admired- everything. About how, once, Zoroark (who had perhaps only been a Zorua around that time) had been disguised as a child- and a kind human had given them free food! About how Ditto had mimicked a human form, and managed to avoid detection by some human who wanted a PokĆ©mon real bad.
About how Zoroark had once been on a bus. About how Ditto had always wanted to battle, but wasnā€™t sure it wanted to be the one on the field.
Eventually they came up with an idea. A little fantasy- pretending to be human, and achieving everything theyā€™d wanted but couldnā€™t reach without having a trainer or being human themselves. And they didnā€™t want trainers. Didnā€™t like the idea of not getting to go at their own pace, of having little to no choice in what they did occasionally, of the restrictions.
So, after a while of fantasising about it, they make their first foray into ā€œtrying out being humanā€.
They take the shape of a young man (because the smaller ones seemed to have too many restrictions for their liking), and start going around, trying to figure out how human lives work. Using money they stole and picked up off of the street they buy food, and some trinket or two, taking turns on who gets to be the human to experience it for themselves.
And miraculously, they arenā€™t found out. Nobody takes a look at them and goes ā€œhey, thatā€™s not a person! Thatā€™s a PokĆ©mon!ā€ Although they do get some strange looks, because they canā€™t speak and arenā€™t too secure in how they move and make noises.
And they learn about trains. Iā€™m not sure how- maybe they go to a library, or watch TV through a store window.
Either way they decide that they like those.
At the end of the day, they go back to their normal shapes, and they unanimously agree on a few things:
1. Being human is fun, and useful. Nobody questions a human paying with money to buy food.
2. Learning how to speak, and move, must be a priority! Humans notice that kind of thing. They donā€™t want to be found out on future expeditions.
3. Trains are cool.
And so begin their many experiments with being human over the next month or two.
As for their permanent forms- they probably found an old picture of Drayden, and used it for reference. Eventually they didnā€™t need it anymore.

Submas Gem AU: Ingo Deets
This was inspired by a reblog from @sningo-prompts time to go more in-depth about How Arceus did the Thing and what Ingo can do now!!
(By the way, you can totally just go full submas on your blog if you want to! Just add to your Bio or Header that youā€™re mostly sningo stuff, but the rest of submas is still on the table to chatter about.)
First off: Arceus making Gems (specifically turning Ingo into one)
Just to clarify, Ingo is a Gem Hybrid and not aĀ ā€œPureā€ Gem. Heā€™s still part human, with all the important physical stuff that goes with that. (Like eating, sleeping, breathing, etc. Not totally dependent on light for health/strength)
BUT, with the way Arceus did it, Ingo also has a lot of abilities thatĀ ā€œpureā€ gems would have as well. Like poofing! (Yes, he can poof btw. I can explain it in a sec.)
The only thing I can think of to compare how Arceus did that is computer programing, so thatā€™s how Iā€™m going to line it out.
Funnily enough, there are numerous PokƩmon that (individually) have abilities like gems, so Arceus already has the coding to make them.
A PokĆ©monĀ whoā€™sĀ ā€œheartā€ is an object- Magearna (not made by Acreus himself, but still counts in my mind)
PokĆ©monĀ who have Object Dormant forms- Reshiram and Zekrom (the Light Stone and Dark Stones in the games)
A (human) spirit/being tied to an object that wasnā€™t originally part of them- Spiritomb
Getting energy/power boosts from sunlight- Espeon, any PokƩmon with the chlorophyl ability
Injuries/Unconsciousness triggering a defensive ability to heal/protect themselves- The whole PokĆ©mon shrinking down thing that kicks in when theyā€™re defeated/captured
Physical Yet MalleableĀ body that allowed for limited shape-shifting- Ditto, Mew (in the movies/shows), Zorua/Zoroark illusions
(probably toned down compared to Ditto and Mew, but much more solid than the illusions)
All he had to do was tweak the gem to act as theĀ ā€œsafeā€ spot and then plug all those codes all into Ingo!
BOOM! GEM HYBRID!
New Gems and/or More Gems
At this time in my au ideas, Ingo is the only Gem. Not because I think Arceus wouldnā€™t have made more, but because Iā€™m not sure who else he would have turned/made into them.
As for new gems/Emmet being one, Iā€™d say that (just for Ingo) Arceus plugged the ability to make a (limited number) new gems himself!
My main thought for How was that it was done through fusion (which was the one new code that had to be made in pokeverse).
Basically, if Ingo is close enough to potentially fuse with someone then if they do, thereā€™s a possibility that when they separate the other person will have become a gem too. The exact criteria needed for that are something Iā€™m still debating, but I know that it will happen to Emmet. Not after the first fusion, but it is basically built in to happen eventually.
Currently, there is no change back plan. Although, I guess it could be done if Arceus was hunted down and brought into the issue.
At the moment, once the code is changed, there isnā€™t anyway to take it out. Not without help.
Gem Injuries: How do they heal?
This one Iā€™ve actually been thinking about a bit, mostly because I realized that was something I didnā€™t have an answer for when I talked about Mirror Gem Ingo having a crack. So, I had to think.
My first thought is that thereā€™s some kind of solution out there for mending/healing living rock.
There are plenty of rock types and PokƩmon with gem/crystal-like growths on their bodies. And those PokƩmon are bound to have gotten hurt/injured at some point and needed to heal/recover. Logically, that means there has to be some kind of medicine out there to heal that kind of damage.
So, I would say Ingo/Emmet would first try to use that to heal and injuries to Ingoā€™s gem. Normally, this stuff probably wouldn't work on a gemstone, but Ingoā€™s gem counts as a Living Stone so it would be effective.
Itā€™s probably a multi-part process with a very liquidy starting medicine to get the fine cracks deep in the stone; then with thicker, less fluid layers put on top to help with the outer damage. (Then a couple layers of bandages and stuff stuff on top to hold all those in as they worked their magic.)
That covers some of the major points, but Iā€™ll stop here for now. (Time to work on the asks I have next!)

for the fake emmet au: do you think ingo's chandelure felt the zorua make that soul bond? can it communicate to the zorua and or ingo through it?
Ooh thanks for the questions, I love rambling about my AUs and this also gave me a bunch of worldbuilding ideas specifically for soul bonds with Ghost-types! So Iā€™m gonna take this as an excuse to infodump and go into way more depth than you actually asked for because I have adhd and am incapable of shutting up ahaha
But I will also be nice to mobile users and stick it under a readmore :)
So, for your first question: Chandelure definitely would have felt something happen through the soul bond, but probably wouldnā€™t be able to pin down exactly what was going on.
Usually, Chandelureā€™s bond with Ingo lets it know vaguely what Ingo is feelingā€”strong emotions only usually, though theyā€™ve been training together so long that Chandelure can pick out subtler ones sometimes tooā€”and, if they were separated, Chandelure would be able to follow the ā€œdirectionā€ of the soul bond to find Ingo.
Ingo can feel the soul bond to a certain extent, but heā€™s a human and therefore not a ghost-type, so itā€™s not usually conscious on his part? Especially since soul bonds arenā€™t super well understood even in modern times, and a lot of the effects get swept up into ā€œWow, youā€™re so in-tune with your PokĆ©mon!ā€ especially since soul bonds need at least the potential of friendship and loyalty to form in the first place. Heā€™s very good at ā€œguessingā€ what Chandelure is feeling or trying to communicate to him if heā€™s paying attention, and might be able to ā€œinstinctivelyā€ figure out which way Chandelure had gone if they got separated, but itā€™s a lot weaker and since he doesnā€™t really know he can do either of those things heā€™s not going to be doing them on purpose or relying on the abilities.
Right now, with Ingo in the past, Chandelureā€™s soul bond to Ingo is really really strained, so it can tell that heā€™s alive and generally in what stateā€”mostly how close to death he is or isnā€™t. Very little if any emotion can get through anymore, and the ā€œdirectionā€ of the soul bond is going through space and time so when Chandelure tries to find Ingo it basically gets a 404 Not Found error back: Ingo is alive, but unreachable.
As for Ingo, while heā€™s in Hisui, heā€™s getting zilch through the soul bond. Itā€™s too strained, and itā€™s not a part of himself he has conscious awareness of, although the soul bond is why he can still remember Chandelure, however vaguely.
For Zoruaā€™s part in this, we get a little more into how it works for trainers who have multiple Ghost-type PokĆ©mon who like them enough to have a soul bond. Because on a normal team, yeah, those bonds would be woven together as long as the different PokĆ©mon didnā€™t really hate each other, and they would be able to communicate over distances, though probably not very clearlyā€”emotions, short and blurry mental images, that sort of thing.
(This canā€™t happen without a human theyā€™re both bonded to, btw. They need a human soul to latch onto, Ghost-types canā€™t directly affect each otherā€™s.)
Except thereā€™s the time strain, and also, Chandelure wasnā€™t present when Zorua bonded with Ingo. Their soul bonds are layered instead of woven together. (This could be fixed easily if both PokĆ©mon were available to adjust the energies at the same time, but theyā€¦ are not.)
Chandelure noticed, for sure, since ghostly energy transfers through the bond very strongly, but canā€™t actually do anything about it or even figure out what exactly is even going on, since the bond Zorua made doesnā€™t actually touch Chandelureā€™s energyā€”Ingo could have bonded with another Ghost-type, or the energy could be from a Ghost-type possessing him or otherwise controlling his actions, and while Chandelure can be sure his soul is intact and canā€™t get eaten, it canā€™t really narrow down those other possibilities from the other side of the timeline.
As time goes on, though, Chandelure is pretty sure itā€™s another soul bond, if only because Ingo is still in good health and occasionally sending flashes of happiness through the bond.

:0 If you donā€™t mind me asking, how did the twins discover elesa was a zoroark? btw love the au, elesa deserves more love <3
I'm still working that out. The twins learn the truth when they're all around 13-15 years old, but the 'how' is something I'm still working out.. There are three scenarios I like so far.
Elesa tells them, because mutual trust is good and also severely underrated.
A stray attack hits Elesa during a practice battle during their PokƩmon journeys, and before Elesa can flee Emmet says "That explains a lot!" Because Emmet noticed enough odd things about Elesa that 'Elesa was always a Zoroark' is a more likely conclusion than 'my friend is being impersonated'.
Elesa is forced to reveal her true form to protect the boys from a wild PokƩmon, then explains herself while they're resting afterwards.

Here we are! The end of the year...
I just came here to let you know that throughout this year your content always made me feel better and I always looked forward to more Under the City Streets update.
I've already gone into lengths how much I enjoy this au, how it's the ultimate test for Ingo and Emmet as brothers. I love seeing Emmet's everlasting spirit to reach Ingo, who is made to believe in a false reality who is in his turn having an everlasting spirit to tend to the lantern he was made to believe his brother is in. I love Lady Sneasler being awesome and how all of Ingo's and Emmet's Pokemon have turned into humans (great designs btw). Every update is a big treat and I'm looking forward to all the good stuff coming in 2023 for this au!
I have to be honest I haven't gotten that deep into there were no instructions or fine print but I'll definitely check it out more in the new year!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the content next year and I also know that it'll be as much of a big treat as the updates this year have been.
Please don't rush things and take your time! I wish you the best for 2023! Please take care!
Thank you again for all your support and all your wonderful messages through this past year! Itā€™s been a real boost in spirit to read your comments and Iā€™m glad my updates have been able to do the same for you!
The fact that the character arcs for Emmet and Ingo are working for you really makes me happy! Iā€™m also glad you like the crazy extra ideas Iā€™ve thrown into the story that are apropos of nothing lol. That no one has complained about them has been a huge relief,m too, haha.
You guys can bet that thereā€™s more content for both City Streets and No Instructions coming in 2023!
Happy New Year!

Vampire AU ramble bc I'm almost done with the drawing for it but feel like actually putting some story behind it (despite it initially just being "I wanna draw Sol surrounded by vampires Rean Emmet & Ingo")
Warning for talking about death, blood, etc. Typical topics when talking about vampires.
So Rena, Emmet, & Ingo are all vampires. Ingo sired Rena a while ago, all three live happily in their spooky old castle or whatever.
The twins meet Sol (in modern times btw) and based on her appearance (pale skin, red eyes, sharp canines) she looks like she could be a vampire. She smells human though, so they come to the conclusion that she's a dhampir. For whatever reason they strike up conversation with her & like her a lot (especially Emmet, he finds her verrry adorable). Emmet kinda stalks her a little bit to find out more about her (he finds that she lives alone, has no living family, no actual friends either, works at that theatre that Rena & Ingo like so much). Goes out of his way to befriend her, even going so far as admitting that he's a vampire and being like "so you don't have to worry about hiding that you're a dhampir with me." She's some combination of shocked & weirded out & doesn't think to deny the assumption. After a while Emmet brings up to Ingo and Rena the idea of taking Sol in (after all, life is hard enough on your own, but being half vampire? Oof.) Ingo is alright with it, he trusts Emmet's judgment. Rena has yet to actually meet Sol though so she goes to watch her. Quickly figures out that Sol is not a dhampir but is actually just a weird looking human. Breaks this to Emmet but also admits that her first impression is of Sol is that she's a very kind and trustworthy young woman and wouldn't mind getting to know her.
So the next time Sol & Emmet hang out, Rena and Ingo come with. Sol is of course ultra intimated because "oh my god what does it mean when your vampire friend introduces you to his vampire family" and also "he thinks I'm half vampire and it's too late to tell him the truth but how long can I keep this up what if his family see right through me". Rena notices how nervous Sol is & asks if she's alright, Sol says "Oh well, I've never met such nice and pretty vampires before. I'm just a, er, dhampir, but you three are full vampires." The trio look at each other & come to the silent agreement that they're not going to tell Sol they know she's human (in part to save the twins the embarrassment of having mistaken a human for a dhampir) but rather see how long before she gives up & confesses the truth because she is just so cute.
So Sol has befriended all three and like. A month later they offer for her to come live with them. She accepts because 1) she doesn't want to offend/anger these very dangerous people by rejecting the offer (especially since they know she's struggling living by herself) and 2) they're hot (who could possibly deny the chance to live with three attractive & wealthy & generous vampires?).
I imagine that dhampirs are amongst the things that are dangerous for vampires to feed from by virtue of them being half vampires and vampires are undead and feeding off of undead will fuck you up, so in order to keep up the ruse the trio agree not to feed on Sol... except eventually Emmet's patience wears thin. He wants to feed from her, he wants to sire her and it's gone on for far too long so one day when he's coming onto Sol he asks for permission to feed from her a little bit. When she points out the thing about feeding from dhampirs he's like "Sol, sweetie, we've known you're actually human for a while now. We just wanted to mess with you and see how long it would take for you to crack and confess the truth, but I'm tired of waiting."
Sol is shocked and a little upset that they would let her continuously make a fool of herself for their own entertainment, but after they all sit down & have a conversation it's alright. She's also a little anemic so feeding on her will have to be just a small snack every once in a while but they already have a reliable food source anyway so it's not a big deal. Emmet brings up the subject of siring her but Sol wants some time to think about it first. It ends up being around the oen year anniversary of her moving in with the trio that she agrees to Emmet turning her into a vampire.
And the polycule lived happily ever after, the end.
