i wonder if vaggie was charlie's first ever personal proof of concept. if charlie watched this razor sharp woman with scars on her back and bandages over her eye slowly come out of her terrified, angry shell to reveal an inner core of fierce concern and loyalty and love. if charlie saw vaggie's emerging softness, her devotion and mercy and protectiveness, and felt a warming affirmation of everything she believed about sinners: that everyone deserves a second chance, that everyone has a sliver of goodness beneath their pain, that hell shouldn't be the end of the road. because vaggie's very existence validates all of charlie's principles and deeply-held truths. and then she learns that vaggie was never a sinner at all.

behold, the hazbin oc i forgot to post here after debuting her on twitter! Vixen Dupont is a vaudeville performer of the roaring 20's who, after dying in a tragic electrical fire in the studio she worked out of with her fellow dancers, learned that she and the girls had been condemned to hell on hot wheels for what none of them could justifiably conceive the cause. Eventually, she took the initiative to seek out a means of making an after-living for herself and her friends, dabbling in the rising popularity of the Pride Ring's exclusively sinner based entertainment scene. Through a number of unfortunate events and charity courtesy of a friendship with Hell's newest creepy crawly, The Radio Demon, Vixen shook herself free of her exploitative career and went on to build her own business in another Overlord's territory. The Silk Paw, a club for the weary soul longing for times gone by and a touch of softness after the inferno, is her current pride and joy. Her relations with Alastor remain purely speculation to the public at large, and for a decade or so managed to die down. His return to the spotlight now turns the rumor mill once more, and the hotel he sees fit to busy himself with becomes an interest of his old friend's to the point that Vixen decides it would be profitable for all parties if she became a sponsor of Princess Charlie's endeavors.

oh yeah.

like ofc their relationship has changed a lot since voxtagram, but most of that is definitely due to changes to vox' character rather than the way val treats him.

val still seems perfectly happy to hit and or throw things at vox even when it's not him val is angry at, the only real change here is that vox has gotten better at dodging.

which makes me wonder whether the relationship we saw on voxtagram (something that ofc is no longer canon) has really retconned or if it will just become a backstory for them, what their relationship was like before vox got as good as he is at dealing with val's shit. probably not but it would be interesting.

Who is Cain?

Cain is an OC that is based on the Biblical character of Cain. He is the eldest son of Adam and Eve. In this AU, he is the biological son of Lucifer, the Devil.

Is Cain one of the Nephilim?

Yes! Cain is a Nephil, half angel and half human.

Did Cain mean to kill Abel?

No, he didn’t. Cain had no idea that he could kill Abel. Cain is half angel and so is more durable than a normal human. He’d been hit much harder than Abel had been many times before and was always fine. Cain and Adam roughhoused with each other often, so a hard hit during a disagreement wasn’t unusual. Things went too far this time, however, and Abel unfortunately bled out before Cain realized what had happened.

Was Abel the first human soul in heaven?

No, Abel didn’t go to heaven or hell when he died. When Cain struck him, he accidentally used his angelic power to smite Abel’s soul. Shattered, the soul was not able to go anywhere. Heaven stitched Abel’s soul back together and put it in a new body, that of his younger brother, Seth. When Seth died, he went to heaven, but Adam had been long dead at that point.

Did Eve cheat on Adam?

No, Eve wasn’t with Adam when Cain was conceived. Eve was in a relationship with both Lucifer and Lilith at first. It wasn’t until after she ate the apple and Lucifer and Lilith fled the garden that Eve fell in love with Adam.

Does Adam know Cain isn’t his son?

Neither Adam or Eve knew that Cain was Lucifer’s. They didn’t know how genetics worked because Cain was literally the first baby born on earth. Lucifer and Lilith had been gone for months before Eve even knew she was going to have a baby.

Where is Awan, Aclima, and all of Adam and Eve’s other children?

Awan and Aclima don’t exist in this AU. I’m not interested in Cain having a romantic partner at this time since it’s not relevant to the story I want to tell. As for the other children of Adam and Eve, they aren’t born until after Cain leaves the garden in this AU. This includes Seth. More info on Seth can be read under the section “Was Abel the first human soul in heaven?”
