So the egg industry is not allowed to advertise or label eggs as healthy, or anything related to being healthy, according to the USDA. This is because of their high cholesterol content. And it is true. They are high in cholesterol. Most commercial eggs, from hens confined in small cages or packed barns are probably not healthy at all. Those eggs come from sick hens who can't walk or move. However, not all eggs are created equal. I eat eggs from hens who live on a small farm in Iowa. They are pasture raised and live outside. Their beaks are not clipped, they eat a normal chicken's diet. Their eggs are better. Healthier. Yes they still have a lot of cholesterol. But they are also a complete protein. This might not seem like a lot but for a former vegan who wasn't consuming all her amino acids this is huge. This isn't an advertisement for eggs, although it sounds like one. This is just me telling all you my experience since adding eggs back into my diet. I feel so much better. I have more energy. Like real energy not faked (force myself to do stuff) energy. I am not eating as much, probably because I am getting more fat and protein so I stay satiated longer. My mental health has improved so much. I know adding fish back into my diet plays a huge role in this because of the omega 3 fatty acids, but I want to talk about fish in a separate post. My workouts are better. I'm noticing more muscle definition, which is probably actually fat loss. My skin is improving. My hair is thicker and shinier. My nails are strong again. I know I said I was gonna write a blog on this. However, I think just touching on it in these blogs will suffice. My actual weight has not changed since adding fish and eggs back in. But my body composition has. My carbohydrate intake is about half (300 to 150 grams) per day. My day intake is almost doubled. (30-60) and my protein is about the same. (65-70) I might increase my fats and lower my carbs again. December 17th Guidance...Relationships are highlighted and reality is shown. Now we must take the disappointment surrounding any hurtful relationship and use it to produce positive results in our life. This is a day of decisions to be made and paths to follow. Adjustments of energy in our life to benefit us and bring us happiness. Instead of remaining in self pity we must move forward and let the hurts and bruises in life make us stronger and more resilient. Today we start the adventure to freeing ourselves from others who reject, put down, are hurtful, selfish, rude, unkind and go out of their way to say and do things that will disappoint us. Or maybe they just think of themselves and really don’t care about our feelings. Whatever is the case we can now turn the situation around to benefit us and bring back our joy. Move on and do so with a positive mindset. Today we motivate ourselves to use hurtful situations to make us better. Many times when we are emotionally hurt by others it is the Universe telling us to move on. Perhaps this situation as it is now has no place on our path in the future. Take it as a hint from the Universe that you are going to be in a better and different place in the near future. Reality shown had to happen to protect you, strengthen you, motivate you and help you. So now just move ahead don’t get stuck in the dysfunctional energy. Plan a positive course of action for your life. The future will be brighter without negativity.
