MY ATTEMPT AT WRITING POETRY: THE WHEATFIELD REVEALED
The following poem was published in the Clover Collection of Verse Vol. XII, edited by Evelyn Petry, in 1976.                    THE WHEATFIELD REVEALED Friendless you toiled with palette and brush, Forlorn amidst wheatfields with only the rush Of flying crows to mark the day, Crossed paths unite yet yield no safe way, Fulfillment beneath sorrowful skies Painting with troubled soul once…

i want to learn how to paint, but like painting in the countryside with a big easel making sure every brushstroke enhances all the details of the landscape or portraits of people that capture the life in their eyes or ballerinas like degas that dance along the canvas

I need more Headcanons to Soothe my Soul
Kanji and Teddie are REALLY good impressionalists. Kanji sometimes will take some of Naoto's mystery novels, find the most raunchy parts, and start reading them in various voices, may it be Carl Wheezer or Mort, Mordecai, Goofy, Squidward to name a few. It makes Naoto laugh in a way no one else has seen before.
He also will randomly start talking in various impressions of other characters like Jotaro, Squidward, and others when just doing simple things.
Teddie is really good at higher-pitched characters like Morty, Spongebob, or Mickey, and sometimes when they're at Junes they come up with hilarious scenarios as Mickey and Goofy. Or sometimes Rick and Morty. The IT can't get enough of them.
Yosuke can do a decent Donald and Rigby impression. Yu is pretty good at Kermit.

This was the piece I wrote for my theory IV class last year. It’s done in the impressionistic style, and is one of my favorite pieces I’ve written (and one of the longest!)

if dove went hey, use me as a canvas and then take pictures, what would he paint on dove? how would he use this new medium? and how would he react when dove get's the art tattooed onto them?
Ooooh that's a good question.
Krow would be a bit surprised by the request, double check to make sure they're okay with it, before going... a bit ham with the idea lmao.
When left to his own devices, Krow likes to implement some impressionalist and surreal elements to his pieces. On Dove he'd paint... a number of things. Fish swimming up their arms through beautiful multicolored waters and they slowly, beautifully, transform into birds, flying against a twilight sky. Their back would be stained glass bird wings encompassing an open bird cage, a single feather left behind. Henna like designs incorporated in the empty space of different pieces, somehow fitting in nicely with everything. In all it would be QUITE the collage of works all put together.
Then if you got them TATTOOED on yourself? He might just fall over in tears ngl. He would be... so... immensely flattered, maybe a little panicky and just "D-Dove! O-oh my god-- i-if I-I knew you would-- I-I-I should h-have s-so much b-better! Aaaahhh! I-I can't b-believe you g-got m-my work inked on you, I... I-I'm... I-I don't k-know what to say."
Krow is pretty confident with his art, and it's one thing when other people like it, praise it, want his stuff even tattooed on them. It's TOTALLY different when it's you. That's when he can get a bit bashful. You are his Muse, but there are still times he is just... shocked to have you in his life, but ever so grateful.

Zaimoku self shippers parallels: we both are loud and annoying and create angsty content out of love and the need to protect our faves..
That's where it ends tho bc I don't have to be number one, I'm me and so I'm the only one. There's millions of Karamatsu girls out there and only a handful of them have him ever poppin a squat and huffing unlit cigarettes. The ones that don't are creating masterpieces of him dramatically smoking the cigarettes with his trench coat bellowing in the wind, looking like a post impressionalist piece done.
Meanwhile I got Todomatsu on stage rapping badly trying to rhyme fish with dicks and getting pelted with rotten tomatoes bc his ass is untalented. I'm the one booing and throwing them and he's mad bc they're only getting on his kicks.

Cosmos of Thought
'What are you thinking about?' I hate this question. How can I answer? How can I find words for the world inside my head?
'What are you thinking about?' I'm thinking about nothing and everything. I'm thinking about the universe as though it were microscopic. I'm thinking about the life beneath my smallest fingernail as though it were almighty.
'What are you thinking about?' I'm not thinking about; I'm thinking in. I'm thinking in colors and textures. I'm thinking in lines and curves. I'm thinking in stars and the voids between them.
'What are you thinking about?' I'm not thinking. I'm existing as a thought: as a hundred thousand thoughts wrapped into a single being, as an impressionalist experience of philosophy.
'What are you thinking about?' I'm thinking that you wouldn't ask me this if you thought as I do. If you knew the strain of trying to put a whole cosmos into words, when words are not your first language, in a world where it's believed that thought is only valuable if it can be easily translated into speech.
'What are you thinking about?'  I'm am thinking. Is that not enough?

The reason ppl do this so commonly is bc without a background studying art, renaissance is a word that becomes associated with non- modern or pre- impressionalist european art. Thats the word taught to most western students when art history or fine art is mentioned. Other periods are really only gone into for students specializing in either art or history. Its not their fault! And no one should be shamed!
Memes have sort of changed the online use of the term renaissance to mean high brow european art (when using it to talk about pictures and memes) bc other ppl get what they mean. Which is interesting. Its wrong in regards to the actual meaning of the word and the art movement and im not saying the word should be used this way in regards to art history, but memes are nonsensical anyways and like also its okay.
i dont expect spmeone to study the differences between baroque and renaissance before they appreciate something seen as art or make a shitpost. Yall could just say 'this looks like a painting' or 'this goes in a museum' to avoid the whole thing but like. Its okay that not everyone can differentiate between art periods and ppl know what they mean when they say renaissance even if its not art student accurate.
So thats why its common. Its essentially become a meme to say something looks like an oil painting.
why has ‘this looks like a renaissance painting’ become such a common phrase on the internet to describe momentous, dramatically lit images that are brimming with pathos when the word they mean to say is ‘baroque’

Acrylics
You're having a long and hard day today. It's weird, because you haven't really had one since you and Sean began going out. They happen to everyone, and you know that- you just can't seem to get out of this headspace.
You have a variety of things you like to do when you're upset, but one of your favorites is to just paint. Put some color on paper, express how you're feeling with some lazy blobs of whatever you want. Occasionally, you do paint something tangible with a real image in it, but impressionalistic art is one of your favorite styles. Sean has always been a sucker for watching you paint, he loves the color and the idea of calming behind it.
You have your own little studio corner in the house where you'll lock yourself for hours at a time with a cute little sign that says "don't disturb- creativity in progress!". Sean got you that for your latest birthday. Today, you don't tell him you're going to paint, just locking yourself away without a word. You're gently dabbling through the assorted bottles of pigments to figure out what kind of mood you want this to be in.
You pick a bunch of greens and light sunflower yellows and two tealy blues. They all seem to mush together on your palette, but you know that you want this to be a happy painting. It reminds you so much of Jack, and watching the kalediscope of colors mush in between each other to mix into some foresty greens and some light grassy greens and bright sunshine. The blues mix in the center, a void of oceanic hues.
You don't know how long it's been until Jack knocks on the door.
"Hey, you in there? The door's locked. I didn't realize you'd be painting in there all evening."
"Sorry," you call back, but make no move to go and open the door. "Just in a mood, I guess." You don't intend to be really... dismissive, you just aren't in the mood to chat right now.
"Can you let me in?" He asks, finally. It almost startles you because he'd been quiet for so long.
You wander over to the door and open it. Your clothes have paint on them, and you've mussed up a bunch of brushes by now. He doesn't seem to care, because he pulls you into a long hug right away. You know how much he loves contact.
"What's wrong?" You ask him, as if you're not the upset one right now.
"I was worried about you!" Jack smiles, though, and kisses your temple. "Mind if I waste some of your paints with you?"
You genuinely smile at that and give him a nod.

A soft impressionalist treatment some mushrooms. I find the pattern of the larger ones unique and beautiful. They 'might' be Russula virescens, but I'm not sure. I'm learning that fungi species/genus/families are incredibly diverse. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_6QWdrJ90r/?igshid=9n0mi2kj6yje

GHB paints but his works are almost entirely drip paintings on canvas but made to look like impressionist whatever with varying hues of color primarily off the hemospectrum for reasons. It's not that it's all made of blood so much as he likes to make folk think it is. ...He's also done murals but they're made entirely with fingerprint at a time in the same style, and the occasional hand print for covering an area.
oh I dig that, I can see him as an impressionalist/expressionalist. spatter art is really fun too, and drip painting. plus the idea of him working for a long ass time carefully pressing one point of color at a time on a mural is really cool and fits how I see him in my head too
a+ hc thank u for sharing
