It is a heatwave here. Earlier today we, as a family spent several hours in the afternoon on a friend of the family's boat. So there I am, on a boat, getting several wonderful hours of seeing Mom in a bikini. Knowing me as you do, you can guess I was staring, and totally mesmerized by Mom. No real way to hide my reactions. I tried to hide my reactions, but it felt like the more amount of effort I put into trying to hide it (plus nowhere onboard for me to hide myself), my reactions showed by 100x that amount. At home my sister confirmed to me that I need to forget any idea at all that I was able to hide my reactions, excitement, and lust. My sister said a stranger who did not know any of us would have instantly been able to tell my reactions and know exactly who those reactions were caused by. In other words, my interest in Mom showed clearly to all on board (as I suspected it was). Oh well. This is one of the issues you encounter when you are in love with your mother.

True: Once my mother discovered I have a thing for layered nylons, she will occasionally wear similar under her dress when we go out on a date. She usually let's me see her like this before her dress goes on, as a preview of what is under her dress. I am FAR too fond of Eat God for someone who doesn't play role-playing games. Anyways, these guys are Soda. There can be any number of legs, all of which can detach and wander around. Soda likes tasting other people's stuff. Soda likes hanging from walls and watching people do interesting things. Anyone who hangs out with Soda gets used to a leg dragging away food, clothing, rocks, or anything else that looks interesting, up the nearest wall so that these guys can taste it.

(It is uncertain if the legs are actually separate guys. Soda seems to see what every one of them sees, so it isn't that important. These guys are always watching you.)

It’s actually realistic for Arthur to have so many friends in fanfictions.

Merlin is the guy who comes from a small village, after all, with only one person as a best friend and a single parent as a mother. Then, he arrives in Camelot and meets all these people, who are so fond of him, and he gets into the circle.

Now, think about it.

Especially in Modern AUs, Arthur has many friends, BUT, what’s unrealistic is how Arthur interacts with them.

He wouldn’t be the jock, the popular guy from the dorm next to people, who drinks beer and has these great frat parties, and who’s hot and confident and blonde and hits on everything that breathes.

No.

Arthur has no idea he has friends.

He doesn’t know they love him, he doesn’t know they care for him, he doesn’t know he can ask for favours, he doesn’t know he isn’t a burden, he doesn’t know any of it, because he has an horrible father figure who blames him for his mother’s death (although not explicitly) and tells him he has to meet every possible human’s exceptations, who forbade him many things while growing up, who gave Arthur a strict diet and a curfew, who never was home, and for that, Arthur doesn’t know how to socialise.

So he would have many friends, but they would have to remind him that he’s not so alone anymore, that he can hang out with them, that they can help him with school work/job related things.

Arthur would stay silent during hang outs, probably drink orange juice, because he doesn’t like the taste of alcohol, go to bed early and get his heart all warm, whenever he receives a ‘good night’ text or ‘I’m glad you’re home safe’ text, from either Gwen or Leon or Morgana.

And once Merlin comes by and joins in, Arthur would be impossible to deal with, a constant stuttering but arrogant idiot with an ego as big as a castle. He loathes not being able to socialise, because now Merlin thinks he can somehow flirt with him, and that’s just not right.

Arthur becomes a tomato with flaring nostrils and audacity, because ‘how dare Merlin say I’m adorable when I blush, I don’t blush’ and Merlin would be scared of being left alone, like he was back in his small closed minded town, with only one best friend and a mother who sacrificed everything for him, with a father who has abandoned him, and zero knowledge on how to interact with girls.

Arthur and Merlin are the same, but they simply decide to act differently on it.

And this is realistic to me.

Post # 7 by Ted's sister Amy: All of that lying and deceiving Ted did trying to deflect rumors, when everyone knew, or suspected, or had a good idea my brother Ted and his mother were a romantic item. It made Ted look ridiculous, it sort of proved he was guilty of it (Thou dothprotest too much). It also made people laugh at him. It also made more people interested in it, now they knew it has truth to it. So much later, a bunch of friends and aquaintenances and a few strangers got together to convince Ted to change his blog here from whatever boring thing it was, to a blog where Ted fully admits to being in love with his mother, explains it fully, explains his Oedipus Complex, gives ALL the details to fully explain it. A place to confess his no longer very secret "secret". A place that is a place where if his blog is interesting enough, it will be seen by large numbers of people all over the entire world. Ted had to agree to stay at it awhile (we decide. Awhile could be years). Ted argued not many would be interested. The friends said yes, many would. Ted agreed to try it and see how it goes.

My brother Ted was then dared to do it, do it completely, do not chicken out no matter how scared or nervous you get (because he will undoubtedly). The main purpose is of course to get Ted known worldwide for his mother being his girlfriend. This way, once a majority of people know all about Ted and Ted's situation, there is no way for Ted to ever be able to chicken out, try to deny the situation, or try to hide it ever again. Even if Ted wanted to do those things, it would be physically impossible to chicken out, deny, or hide it ever again. It would be impossible to do. Everyone reminded him when Mom said if we keep going, this will be impossible to keep hidden very long. Ted said "I know. I truly don"t care if everyone everywhere finds out.". So now he gets to live up to his declaration. Another purpose is to atone for, or pay every one back for all the flimsy excuses and lies (which no one believed) Ted told to try to hide it. Doing this blog will make up for all that lying. Ted agreed. Mom said" if he agrees, go for it full bore".

As his sister, I feel I must make sure he gets all the details out there. If not I am here to help tell on him. I am here to get all the information out, if he forgets, or tries to chicken out. This blog is happening (Ted is very glad of that). Maybe my brother Ted's new motto should be "Let the world know Ted is boffing his mom. Ted's mother is his girlfriend".

I mean from Jason’s side Dick is the ideal son who Bruce loves, Jason saw Bruce’s absolute grief when bludhaven was nuked as red hood. As Robin he was constantly and unfairly compared to Dick Grayson bc while Jason was great. He had a normal but sad ass life while being naturally gifted and brilliant, dick was training before he could crawl, Dick had never learned to stay still while also being naturally grifted and brilliant. Jason couldn’t do the things Dick could do at 12 bc dick had been training for 11 years by that point but neither he nor Bruce really gave himself that grace. Dick is proof of the concept of child heroes, while he is kinda like proof that children really shouldn’t be on the field. Dick became this well respected, important person. He got to grow from Robin whereas Jason is still burdened by his time in the pixie boots.

And from Dicks side? Dick got out, he LEFT Bruce’s shadow and when Bruce gave his mantle to some kid? He was nice about it! I mean he was too busy with his amazing girlfriend and his team to really become hung up on it! He gave the kid his number and his OG Robin suit and goes maybe we can form a relationship. And then the kid dies and Dick is destroyed, not only did his kid brother die, his kid brother DIED in HIS legacy. And the Jason comes back. Steals his suit, and begins killing people. Nearly gets Dick killed by the cops and spends so long trying to ruin Dicks solid reputation. Not only that? But in the suit father preformed in? With the name Clark Kent gave him??? One of the men he respects most in the world? WHICH he proceeds to do again?? With their Dead Dads costume? After all the SHIT he spewed about no one giving a damn about his death. About how Bruce and his crusade killed a child. And he goes and not only hurts Tim, the brother Dick worked SO hard to build a relationship with bc the last time he got out a Kid died. But also Damian, a literal 10 year old. Dick sends him to Arkham bc when he got sent to regular prison he killed hundreds of people? And sure now?? Jason’s working with the family sometimes? But if it was just a difference in morals Dick wouldn’t have that much of an issue? He’s friends with people who have differing moral codes! Hell he’s DATED people with different moral codes. But? Jason made their beef personal and now Dicks stuck with the knowledge that his younger brother DID a lot of that to HURT him specifically. Bruce was dead for a portion of this? Did that stop Jason from trying to ruin everything dicks ever believed in? Nope.

Like Dick has to exist knowing that he loves his brother and his brother very well could and would do what he did to him again.

I haven't played deltarune yet and only watched some let's plays, but Tenna makes me so unwell. The comment "divorce so bad tv got divorced" Convinced me to check it out lmao.

But that's not the point of the post. I just want to speculate on smt I just thought.

Why are Tenna and Spamton on such bad terms?

It might be obvious, but I want to share my view on their relationship. It's probably a common sense, but I don't think Tenna is so pissed off and hurt by Spamton just because he left him and didn't sign his contract.

Tenna is ofc pissed because of that, I'm not denying that, but the real reason, at least for me, is a little bit deeper.

As we all know, Tenna has a LOT of abandonment issues. It's seen through his dialogue with Kris and his desperate desire to be watched, to be seen and to have the audience. It is implied that he did hear a lot of Toriel and Asgore's fights multiple times, but he may be unaware of their divorce or at least he surely doesn't know about Asriel's departure to college. So from his perspective, Tenna was abandoned, plugged out because he became obsolete. He was ultimately abandoned. And we don't know when Tenna was turned off or when he was spending time with Spamton. So he probably lived with this pain for a long time.

Now, this is great and all, but what am I getting at? Well, let's take a look at how Tenna describes the scene of their last meeting (or at least I think it was)

"He suddenly had to take the phone call...But when he picked it up his face went pale... And je ran right out of the room with the receiver hanging!.. So I picked it up. ..... But there was nobody there!"

Tenna doesn't have any knowledge of this entity that was controlling/helping Spamton. So, for him, Spamton got scared of smt that Tenna didn't hear or know existed, and ran away without any explanation. Tenna might (and does!!!) consider this an abandonment. Spamton just left him behind. And THIS Is the main reason of why he's upset. Ofc that deal and the secret to being a big shot was important to him, but losing a friend was probably even worse. (Even though I enjoy a romantic reading of their relationship, I do want to say that it's not really important if it is or isn't one. They could be just really good friends, mb they were the only ones who truly understood each other even if it was purely platonic)

So, in short, despite having a very deep relationship, which is proved by Tenna keeping the pipis, Spamton abandoned his buddy and presumably left him with no explanation to never see him again. Ofc his buddy with abandonment issues and anxiety doesn't take it well and grows to resent Spamton a lot.

In Spamton's case, in turn, he might've never wanted to leave Tenna hanging like that, but his benefactor might've not left him a choice.

Spamton was genuinely terrified by what he heard and probably didn't mean for this scene to play out like this. Whatever was said on this call shook Spamton a lot and maybe this is the moment his "luck ran out". Correct me if I'm wrong, but this might be the begging of Spamton's downfall where he lost everything. Multiple terrible events back to back and loneliness caused him to have a mental break. I assume this is when his mental state went to sh_t. Spamton might've started to envy Tenna cuz from his perspective he's got everything he wanted. And plus continuous mentions of obsolescence of email didn't help I feel. Ofc, it's not like Spamton could explain to Tenna the identity of his benefactor and why he was afraid of him. This secret became the foundation for their friendship/relationship downfall imo.

TLDR: I think it's kind of Vi/Powder situation, where both didn't mean to hurt or abandon each other, but the lack of another person's perspective and secrets lead to the ultimate downfall of their relationship imo

They're just one big Asgore/Toriel allegory/j

Everyone seems to think this episode is about Nick, that the conflict centers around him, that it’s his arc, his breaking point. But I don’t feel that at all. To me, this is all about June. It’s about finally addressing her feelings. the ones she’s been hiding, denying, quietly suffocating under!!!

The ones she feels guilty for, ashamed of.

That’s why Luke says, “You think I didn’t notice you pining for him?” because it’s been there all along. Since she got back.

She just tried to bury it under duty and appearances.

And when Nick says, “You love me. So what does that make you?” It’s not about him being a villain, it’s about her finally being forced to look at herself and admit what she’s been refusing to see: that she loves him, and that she’s terrified of what that says about her. (Like bad wife, bad protector and bad revolutionary, bad person!)

That she’s still living in a cage built from shame, guilt because she cheated/cheating, from survival, from having to make the “right” choice and never the true one.

This conflict didn’t start because Nick changed. Because he didn’t. He simply reflected the truth she was avoiding.

Yes, it will move his arc too. of course. But the heart of this episode is June’s reckoning with herself.

The question isn’t “does she love him?” we already know that and everyone in the show does.

The question is: when will she finally let herself say it? With full lungs, no guilt, no shame, no fear.

And that is why my video won’t be told from Nick’s point of view. It will be told from June’s.
