NORMIE AU PARENTS
《~~~~》
Victoria Stone, the mother of Eddward Stone. She was widowed when Edd was about 6, having to take care of him all by herself while juggling 3 jobs. Despite everything, she was never a bad mom.
《~~~~》
Cecilia Vincent, mother of Matthew Vincent. Retired Model of Paris fame, when Matt was only 3, she left her husband and moved to the UK to start a new life. After such an easy time leaving her husband and country, Cecilia felt as though she had been saved by god and became an incredibly devoted Christian.
Cecilia drove Matt from sinning, costing him his freedom and happiness, and allowed her priest to verbally berate Matt in front of the entire service. One day, she caught Matt in his room being physically intimate with his friend Tord. She didn't hesitate to condemn him for participating in homosexual behavior and hanging around a gay person.
After sending Matt to a conversion camp for over a year, he turned 18 and never spoke to her again, opting to move in with his friends.
《~~~~》
Hunter Thompson, Thomas Thompson, and Jonathan Thompsons father. After accidentally knocking up a girl who went to his high school, he tried to be present in the childs life while finishing his senior year. He ended up knocking her up again when Tom was 2, and due to complications during birth, she passed away and left him with two very young children.
After a year of trying to figure out how take care of the children, he just gave up, opting to leaving the two alone for hours at a time, getting high, and screaming at them if they bothered him. One day, when Tom was 5 and Jon was 3, Hunter had gotten aggravated with Tom and had locked him out of the house.
After walking 15 minutes alone, barefoot in the cold, Tom went to his best friend Edds house, where Victoria took care of him and called the police. Hunter was arrested the same night, and Tom and Jon were taken by CPS.
Ivory and Enver Travers, the foster parents to Thomas Thompson and Jon Thompson. Immigrants from Turkey, who wanted nothing more than to help troubled children. They received a very traumatized little girl, Thomas(deadname redacted) Thompson and a very confused Jonathan Thompson. Tom grew to be rude and rebellious, causing increased tension and stress onto Ivory and Enver. Despite it all, they both remain proud of how their two boys turned out.
《~~~~》
Patryck and Paul Andrews, the parents of Tord Andrews. The two met at a festival event. Patryck was a talented lawyer from Poland, and Paul was a veteran from the German military who'd been retired due to an injury that'd left him half blind. After hitting it off and dating for 3 years, they decided to have a child.
Patryck, being transgender, had hormonal issues from taking birth control and testosterone that caused fertility issues. After a long wait, they finally got their miracle child, Tord.
For the first 7 years of Tords life, Paul was an alcoholic. He occasionally would get angry and loud, which ended up leaving Tord with lasting issues with alcohol and being around drunk people. When Tord was 10, Paul had been given an ultimatum and quit.
When Tord left for the army at 19, their home became a safe space for Matt, who had basically become a second son to the two. Despite their age, Paul and Patryck remain active, and just as in love as they were on their first date.

Yeah Tord is Paul and Pats kids im sorry im cringe :(

You know what hurts me? (Apart from Israel's crimes against the Palestinians)
That Poles no longer remember the crimes of the border guards (the Polish and Belarusian ones, but Poland was worse and I say it straight)
The border guard beat people, destroyed their phones (while preventing them from communicating with their family and lawyers), caused two women to have miscarriages (And do you know what the pro-life women wanted to do? Shoot these people, yes, you heard that right, but we are the murderers , because we are pro-abortion, fun, right?), laughed at the paralyzed child of one of the immigrants, did not allow help to people in a tragic condition (Israel likes it) and even attacked journalists (Yes, it happened)
Holland was too nice to those bastards
I tried to mention it many times, but unfortunately, not many things happened, let the people on the border and the Palestinians be free!
Let's not allow the Zionists and the larger power to censor us or those who need us, they must finally be heard, the people on the border and the Palestinians have been ignored for a long time, but it must end
And here you have a woman who is responsible for these crimes

Talking to Applebaum, I imagined a British government abolishing press freedom and the independence of the judiciary and the civil service. I didn’t doubt for a moment that there would be thousands of mediocre journalists, broadcasters, lawyers and administrators who would happily work for the new regime if it pandered to their vanity by giving them the jobs they could never have taken on merit. Hannah Arendt wrote of the communists and fascists that they replaced “first-rate talents” with “crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity” was the best guarantee of their loyalty. She might have been talking about contemporary Poland, Britain and America. “Given the right conditions any society can turn against democracy,” Applebaum says, and explains why better than any modern writer I know. To the political consequences of offended vanity – Why am I not more important? Why does the BBC never call? – a sense of despair is vital. If you believe, like the American right, that godless enemies want to destroy your Christian country, and prove their malice by not giving you the rewards you deserve, or think, like Scruton and the Telegraph crowd of the 1990s, that English culture and history is being thrown in the bin, and you are being chucked away with it, or agree with the supporters of the new tyrants of eastern Europe that a liberal elite is plotting to extinguish your culture by importing Muslim immigrants, and proving its contempt for all that is decent by laughing at you, then any swine will do as long as the swine can stop it. You will pay any price and abandon any principle in the struggle against a demonic enemy.

Trump's NATO comments reverberate across Europe.
February 13, 2024
ROBERT B. HUBBELL
Trump's anti-NATO comments over the weekend have focused attention on US foreign policy commitments. At a meeting of the EU on Monday, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski reminded a reporter that the NATO treaty’s “mutual defense” provision has been invoked only once—to assist the United States after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. As reported in Politico,
Referring directly to Trump's comments, Sikorski underlined that “the [NATO] alliance is not a security agency,” stressing that NATO allies came to America's aid after the September 11 attacks and that Poland fought alongside U.S. troops in Afghanistan. “We didn't send the bill to Washington,” he said.
Dozens of readers posted Comments and sent emails noting that it is beyond hypocritical for Trump to pretend that timely payment of bills is grounds for abandoning an ally. Trump famously stiffs every lawyer, contractor, service provider, and vendor possible, leaving a string of unpaid debts and collection lawsuits in his wake.
Many major media outlets continued coverage of Trump's statement, notably the NYTimes, which ran a front-page “news analysis” titled, “Trump Steps Up, Helping Biden Just When the President Needs Him,” and a second story highlighting Trump's attack on Nikki Haley’s husband, Major Mike Haley, “Defending Troops, Haley Says Golf Course Is Closest Trump Has Come to Combat.”
The thesis of the Times coverage is that Trump consistently draws attention away from Biden’s age by injecting Trump's recklessness into the political equation. Per the Times news analysis,
The stunner from Mr. Trump over the weekend not only drew attention away from the president’s memory problems, as detailed in a special counsel report, but also provided a convenient way for Mr. Biden’s defenders to reframe the issue: Yes, they could now say, the incumbent may be an old man who sometimes forgets things, but his challenger is both aging and dangerously reckless. It was not the first time, nor likely will it be the last, that Mr. Trump has stepped up when an adversary was in trouble to provide an escape route with an ill-considered howler of his own. Mr. Trump’s lifelong appetite for attention has often collided with his evident best interest.
For Mr. Biden, that may be the key to this year’s campaign, banking on his opponent’s inability to stay silent at critical moments and hoping that he keeps reminding voters why they rejected him in 2020.
But Trump's dangerous views on foreign policy are not mere campaign fodder. They have infected his party, which is looking for a way to kill aid for Ukraine.
As the Senate moves closer to a final vote on supplemental funding for Ukraine and Israel, Speaker Mike Johnson preemptively rejected the bill because—wait for it—the foreign aid bill does not include US immigration reform and border security provisions!! See The Hill, Speaker Johnson fires warning shot as Senate prepares to vote on Ukraine aid
In case you have forgotten, Trump ordered congressional Republicans to kill a prior version of the aid bill that included immigration reform and border security provisions. Because of Trump's opposition to immigration reform and enhanced border security, GOP Senators voted down the combined bill.
Now that the Senate is sending a bill with foreign aid only, Speaker Mike Johnson is playing the legislative version of the “rope-a-dope” gambit where the American people and Ukraine are the victims of a bad-faith delaying strategy.
While foreign policy rarely plays a decisive role in US presidential campaigns, Trump's threat to abandon NATO and encourage Russian aggression deserves the attention of every American who values global stability. If Ukrainian soldiers cannot contain Russia’s expansionism, the next country in Putin’s sights will be Poland—a NATO member.

Many Jews were saved by racism, while fleeing German socialist racism. It started around 1938 at the Evian Conference, named for where it was held in Evian France (also the namesake of the private water company). General Trujillo of the Dominican Republic (DR) aimed to whiten the DR’s population. Laura De Los Santos, a Dominican Republic native (while pursuing a master’s degree in the United States), and Sergei Raigorodsky, a Jewish lawyer living in the Dominican Republic, agreed that “whitewash” was an appropriate description. “He was famous for wanting to whitewash the culture,” says Raigorodsky. “He always attempted to bring white people over from Europe or other places in the world so they would mix with the local population.” He preferred single males as immigrants. LOL.
Trujillo’s genealogy includes some “whitewash” culture in his own background. Photographs of him provide more insight.
Many nations at the Evian Conference were criticized for not welcoming more Jewish immigrants. Yet, Soviet socialism usually isn’t mentioned in articles about the Conference. Do you wonder why? It is because modern writers cover up how Soviet socialism joined German socialism to spread WW2, invading Poland together and onward for international antisemitism. Those are the same writers who cover up how Hitler’s symbol represented “S for SOCIALIST” (a top discovery by the historian Dr. Rex Curry).
The Évian Conference occurred 6–15 July (1938). No interest in Evian was evinced by Soviet socialists. About one year later (23 August 1939) socialists in Germany and the USSR signed their conspiracy. That must have been another riddle for everyone who had attended the Evian Conference in 1938.
Soviet socialists had sought good relations with German socialists for years (and especially following German socialism’s aggressions in Europe). From April to July 1939, Soviet socialists and German socialists had made statements on the potential for the beginning of political negotiations. In late July and early August 1939, socialists in Germany and the USSR agreed on most of the details of a planned economic agreement, before finalizing their pro-aggression pact.
Soviet socialism had banned Judaism from 1917. They had already robbed, starved, gulaged and killed many Jews. They had already confiscated and destroyed many synagogues. And they had already prevented Jews from leaving. Soviet socialists blazed a trail for German socialism and Hitler. Later they joined German socialism to spread WW2.
Haiti seemed to have been willing to take Jews too at the Evian Conference. Haiti was apparently dissuaded or prevented from doing so. Léon Laleau, the Foreign Minister of Haiti, offered to receive fifty thousand refugees but was turned down by Sumner Welles and the USA Government. Haitian diplomats, however, did provide entry visas during 1937 to several hundred Jews before the onset of the war, saving the lives of approximately 100-300.
The pro-aggression pact of Soviet socialism and German socialism interfered with the plans of the DR and other escape routes for Jews. The "Voyage of the Damned” refers to the SS St. Louis, carrying Jewish refugees that set sail from Hamburg to Havana, Cuba on May 13, 1939, under the command of Captain Gustav Schröder. It was carrying 937 passengers, most of them Jewish refugees seeking asylum from German socialism.
The ship sailed close to Florida and some passengers asked President Roosevelt for help. However, Roosevelt and the State Department did not intervene to allow the refugees to enter the USA. The ship eventually turned around and returned to Europe.
The Dominican Republic was inhospitable to Haitians before the Evian Conference. Haiti is considered the ghetto of the island. In October 1937 around 8,000-12,000 Haitians in the northwestern region of the Dominican Republic were massacred in a pogrom to “obliterate Haitian ethnicity” within DR’s borders. It was worse than mass deportation. Generalissimo Trujillo declared, during May 1938, that he had dealt with “The Haitian question.” Oy vey!
That “northwestern region” of the Dominican Republic might not be far from where many Jewish people settled (in Sosua, DR). Mass deportation of Haitians was occurring in the Dominican Republic (DR) in 2024. It provided a fascinating comparison the DR's pro-immigration policies for others.

Countries that provide dual citizenship with the UK
In the UK, having dual citizenship means having simultaneous citizenship in the United Kingdom and another nation. Those with family links abroad or those who wish to move freely between nations may find it advantageous.
Although having two citizenships has certain drawbacks (such paying taxes twice, having military responsibilities, or not being eligible for some government programmes), they are usually offset by the positives according to the top immigration lawyers in London. With a few notable exceptions, the UK permits dual citizenship with several other nations.
Advantages of Dual Citizenship
If you are not a British citizen and you want to relocate to the UK, you may wish to think about requesting dual citizenship. The following are some advantages of dual citizenship with the UK:
1. Staying in Both Nations
You are able to reside in two nations concurrently. This implies that you can still go to or remain in England for extended periods of time without losing your rights as an Englishman, even if your spouse or children have relocated abroad and you intend to retire there.
2. Right to Vote
You are eligible to vote in both nations' elections. Since it is lawful in the majority of nations with dual citizenship legislation, many people actually take advantage of this opportunity by casting two ballots during elections.
Keep in mind that several nations only permit voting in parliamentary elections—not municipal ones. You will not be eligible to vote in local or parliamentary elections if you have resided outside of the UK for more than 15 years.
3. Hassle-free Travel
You don't need a passport or a visa to travel freely across the UK. When travelling as a dual citizen, there should be no issues as long as you carry your British passport with you and consult one of the immigration lawyers in London.
4. Social Benefits
Possessing dual citizenship entitles you receive social advantages from both nations. This covers social security, health insurance, and other government-funded initiatives.
More About Dual Citizenship in the UK
Being a citizen of more than one nation, or holding two citizenships, is known as dual nationality.
This may be the result of your parents' different nationalities or the fact that you were born in one location and later relocated.
Additionally, there are other kinds of dual citizenship:
Dual Nationality by Birth
In the event that you were born in the United Kingdom or a British Overseas Territory, you must verify your eligibility and apply for citizenship.
Depending on where and when you were born, as well as the circumstances surrounding your parents, you may potentially qualify if you have a parent who has a British citizenry.
You could be able to register as a British citizen, for instance, if both of your parents are British citizens, or if one of them is and the other has the right to remain in the country indefinitely.
Dual Nationality through Naturalization
You might have to give up your original citizenship if you wish to seek for naturalization in another nation to obtain a second citizenship.
Countries That Provide Dual Citizenship with the UK
There are many countries which allow dual citizenship. Some of the countries that permit UK dual citizenship include:
Armenia
Australia
Bangladesh
Barbados
Belgium
Canada
Croatia
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Denmark
Egypt
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Iraq
Ireland
Israel
Italy
Kenya
Latvia

Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Malta
Pakistan
Philippines
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Serbia
Slovenia
South Africa
Sri Lanka
Sweden
Switzerland
Syria
Thailand
Tonga
Turkey
United Arab Emirates (UAE)
United States
Eligibility for UK’s Dual Citizenship
There are conditions that must be fulfilled if you are a citizen of the United Kingdom and wish to get dual citizenship. Finding out if you qualify for dual nationality in the UK—that is, having dual citizenship with another nation—is the first stage in the process.
To qualify for this opportunity, you must be:
18 years of age or older
possess a minimum of 12 months' worth of UK residency (unless married to a British citizen or established person)
You must have passed the Life in the UK exam and the English language proficiency criterion.
have not violated any immigration laws in the UK while you were a qualified resident
You must fulfil the prerequisites listed above in addition to possessing another citizenship or being eligible for

Immigration Law In Poland provides a structured framework for non-EU nationals seeking to live and work in the country. It encompasses visas, residence permits, and citizenship processes, balancing openness with security. The law facilitates various immigration paths, including family reunification, employment, and education, while promoting integration and compliance with EU standards. As Poland's economy grows, its immigration policies continue to evolve, making it an increasingly attractive destination for international talent and investors. For detailed guidance, consulting with legal experts or official resources is recommended.

Families Separated at Border Reach Settlement (NYT) Lawyers representing thousands of families separated at the southern border during a Trump administration crackdown have reached a settlement with the federal government that enables the migrants to remain in the United States and apply for asylum, putting them on the path to permanent legal residency. The agreement, filed on Monday in federal court in San Diego, concludes years of negotiations that were part of a class-action lawsuit to address the harm inflicted by family separations carried out in 2017 and 2018. The policy was a key component of the Trump administration’s efforts to curb unauthorized immigration. Children were systematically taken from their parents and sent to shelters and foster homes across the country, and parents were criminally charged for entering the country unlawfully. The objective was to deliver a powerful deterrent to families planning to come to the United States, even those seeking asylum. All told, several thousand foreign-born children were taken from their parents. Later, it emerged that hundreds of U.S.-born children crossing the border with migrant parents were also subjected to the policy.
Polish opposition poised to oust ruling nationalists in major political shift (Reuters) Poland’s ruling nationalists appeared on Monday to have lost their parliamentary majority in the nation’s most pivotal election in decades, potentially opening the way for opposition parties to seize power in what would be a huge political shift. Poland has repeatedly clashed with the European Union over the rule of law, media freedom, migration and LGBT rights since Law and Justice came to power in 2015, but opposition parties have vowed to mend ties with Brussels and undo reforms critics say undermine democratic standards. Victory for the opposition in a vote seen by analysts as the most significant election for Europe in years, could potentially redefine the relationship between Brussels and the largest EU member state in central and eastern Europe.
For Hostages’ Families, an ‘Endless Loop of Hope and Despair’ (NYT) Yakov Argamani has the pale face and broken soul of a man whose child is in extreme danger. He shuffles around his immaculate house in southern Israel, a book of psalms in his right hand, the front door constantly banging open and shut with visitors, plates of freshly made food, more than he could ever possibly eat, piling up on the countertops. “Noa was here, there, everywhere,” he said of his daughter, Noa, who was kidnapped. “Her smell is missing, her voice. All of a sudden it’s gone.” “And I’m lost,” he said. Hen Avigdori, a screenwriter, is missing his wife and daughter. “I’m in this endless loop of hope and despair, hope and despair,” he said. “I need some proof of life. I need to know where my wife and daughter are. It’s driving me crazy.” These are the families experiencing the unbearable anguish of being in the middle of the world’s most complicated hostage crisis in recent memory. Babies, grandmothers and wounded Israeli soldiers. Americans, Filipinos, French and Mexicans. On Monday, the number of publicly known hostages increased to almost 200, up from the 150 that had been spoken of since the beginning of the conflict.
Israelis Gird for a Deeper War Amid a Crisis of Trust in the Government (NYT) On the ninth day after Hamas overran more than 20 Israeli pastoral communities and army bases, killing more than 1,300 people and taking nearly 200 hostages back to Gaza, Israel was a country on edge. Israelis were girding with grim determination for an imminent ground invasion into the Palestinian enclave controlled by Hamas even as tensions escalated on the northern border with Lebanon, threatening a long and devastating conflict on several fronts. All this is happening amid a total breakdown of trust between the citizens and the state of Israel, and a collapse of everything Israelis believed in and relied on. Initial assessments point to an Israeli intelligence failure before the surprise attack, the failure of a sophisticated border barrier, the military’s slow initial response and a government that seems to have busied itself with the wrong things and now appears largely absent and dysfunctional. “We have woken to a terrible sobriety about whose hands we put our fate in,” said Dorit Rabinyan, an author in Tel Aviv. “All the time you said to yourself, ‘I am paying half of what I earn in taxes, but it is for security, national security, at least that.’”
As Israeli Invasion Looms, Diplomats Seek to Meet Gaza’s Dire Human Needs (NYT) Diplomats were locked in frantic talks on Sunday to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as an Israeli ground invasion appeared imminent. At the same time, the United States was deploying a second aircraft carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean amid fears of a wider war. Capturing these concerns on Sunday was António Guterres, the secretary general of the United Nations, who said, “We are on the verge of the abyss in the Middle East.” Officials from the United States, Egypt and Middle Eastern countries sought to ease what Israeli officials have called the “siege” of Gaza, which has led to dire shortages of food, water, gasoline and other essentials in the blockaded territory. As Israeli troops massed on the border, more than two million Gaza residents endured a panicked countdown to the expected start of a ground invasion of northern Gaza.
Gaza’s Hospitals Face ‘Impossible’ Choices With Israel Evacuation Order (NYT) Hundreds of people injured in Israeli airstrikes are streaming into hospitals in Gaza, transported by overfilled ambulances and sharing bloodied gurneys at the entrances. Workers and bystanders rush to carry the victims inside, where only the most critically wounded are allowed to stay, and the rest are sent home. On Friday, Israel ordered hospitals in northern Gaza—along with more than one million Palestinians—to evacuate and flee southward before an anticipated Israeli ground invasion of the territory. The order has created for patients and their caretakers an impossible dilemma: stay or go. “It’s absolutely impossible to evacuate the hospital,” said Dr. Muhammad Abu Salima, the director of Gaza City’s Al Shifa Hospital, the territory’s largest medical complex. “There is nowhere in Gaza that can accept the number of patients in our intensive care unit or neonatal intensive care unit or even the operating rooms.” “If someone doesn’t die from the bombardment, then he’ll die from the lack of medical service,” he said. The evacuation of northern Gaza is meant to take civilians out of harm’s way, Israel says. But it has left people in Gaza with an impossible choice. Services in southern Gaza, already strained after years of an international blockade, are at their breaking point, and the south is also subject to airstrikes. Many Gazans also say they would rather die in their homes than flee.
Gaza’s oldest church shelters Muslims, Christians (Aljazeera) When an Israeli air raid destroyed Walaa Sobeh’s house and much of her neighbourhood, the Palestinian Muslim sought shelter in Gaza’s oldest church. At the Church of Saint Porphyrius, she found not just sanctuary, but a feeling of belonging to “one family”—united by both the terror of bombs exploding around them and a hope that they could survive Israel’s attacks. So she telephoned other relatives in north Gaza and asked them to make their way to the church, too. Sobeh and her family are among hundreds of Palestinians across different faiths who have found safety—at least for now—at the church. At a time when the deadly Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 and Israel’s subsequent bombardment of Gaza have sparked a surge in Islamophobia in parts of the world, the Greek Orthodox church has emerged as an emblem of a deeper identity as Palestinians. “We are here living the day, not sure if we can make it to the night. But what eases our pain is the humble and warm spirit of everyone around,” Sobeh said. She described receiving “enormous support from the priests and other people in the church who volunteer tirelessly around the clock to help the displaced families”. So far, the church has escaped Israeli missiles.
A Fertilizer Shortage Is Spreading Hunger (NYT) Suleiman Chubado is not entirely clear what caused the price of fertilizer to more than double over the past year, but he is bitterly aware of the consequences. At his farm in northeastern Nigeria, he can no longer afford enough fertilizer, so his corn is stunted and pale, the scraggly plants bending toward the powdery earth. Inside his mud house, he has grown accustomed to explaining to his two young children and pregnant wife why they must make do with two meals a day—and sometimes only one—even as hunger gnaws. As he and his neighbors commiserate over the calamity unfolding across much of Africa, they exchange theories on one source of trouble: Russia’s war on Ukraine, which disrupted shipments of key ingredients for fertilizer. “We are in two different worlds, separated by airplanes and oceans,” Mr. Chubado said. “How can it be affecting us here?” That question is reverberating in many lower-income countries. Farmers are grappling with shocks that made fertilizer scarce and unaffordable, diminishing harvests, raising food prices and spreading hunger. The war in Ukraine reduced the region’s grain exports and sent the price of staples like wheat soaring from Egypt to Indonesia. The world’s food supply is also menaced by the ravages of climate change—heat waves, drought, floods. Now, scarce and expensive fertilizer is combining with these other forces to threaten livelihoods.
Want a Discount? Pay in Cash. (WSJ) Discounts for paying cash are now on the menu at coffee shops, restaurants and other stores as businesses search for ways to skirt rising credit-card transaction fees. The share of all cash purchases that came with a discount climbed 66% between 2015 and 2022, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Some retailers are nudging us to use cash by imposing surcharges if you want to pay by credit card, while others offer cash discounts.
‘Freak of nature’ tree is the find of a lifetime for forest explorer (Washington Post) TJ Watt has spent half his life as a forest explorer, a self-described “tree hunter” in British Columbia. He wades deep into endangered forests to find pristine towering trees that are hundreds of years old and massively wide but have never been photographed or documented. The day he approached a gargantuan western red cedar, he’d been trekking with a friend for several hours in a remote area on Flores Island off the west coast of Vancouver Island. As he drew closer to the tree, Watt said he was overcome with disbelief: He was dwarfed by a tree standing 151 feet tall and 17 and a half feet in diameter. The tree, believed to be more than 1,000 years old, was the find of a lifetime. It’s one of the largest old-growth cedars ever documented in British Columbia, Watt said. “I feel humbled every time I think about it,” said Watt, 39. “I nicknamed it ‘The Wall,’ because it can only be described as a literal wall of wood.” “The tree leaves you with a sense of wonder about the natural world and the universe,” said one viewer.

I just want to say that we (Poland) are still keeping the refugees on the border. We actually built a massive fence which will be further fortified but of course people will still try to get in and they get hurt trying to get through that fence.
Belarus is an authoritarian dictatorship that's shooting its own citizens and keeping an iron fist over the country since I remember. They actively take part in the war in Ukraine and obviously will use any means necessary to try to destabilise the EU border.
But what Poland, a big country in EU did, my country, is disgraceful and there is literally no reason not to bring these people to safety and let them go through a process that wouldn't be traumatizing or dehumanizing so they could find shelter further in the EU or in Poland or, if they really were lied to and forcefully brought here by Belarus, provide them with medical and financial help so they could safely go back if they desire to, with means to help their families. EU is a third economy in the world, I have no doubt if all the countries worked together they could easily not let people die whether it's the Eastern border or Mediterranean Sea.
Maybe more anonymous slavs follow you Mena and they will read this. I obviously know the specific situation of Poland but I'm sure other people know more about their own countries. Poland is also the biggest slavic country in the EU.
People at the PL BY border are getting hurt and they are being forcefully (illegaly) returned to Belarus even with injuries that require hospitalization.
On 21st of June two bodies were found in the river that goes through the border and then goes into Poland. People are still dying because of state violence.
We have election coming up, our ruling party (that is absolutely going the authoritarian route inspired by Turkey and Hungary and now followed also by Israel) is using the most disgusting anti immigration rhetoric and it's WORKING because it's also co opted by the biggest opposition party that is ,of course, 'only pointing out the hypocrisy of the government, but somehow in such a way that they absolutely, consciously, use fear and stereotyping of migrants to try to snatch some votes through populistic fear mongering, people accept it, 'you have to use the tactic of an enemy to defeat him' they say. There are voices condemning it but they are few and far between.
At the same time even more disgusting, cancerous, far right party is growing in power and people don't care about their dehumanizing rhetoric as long as 'no one looks into my taxes' and 5% of polish women are ready to vote for them (17% of men, this party is also wildly misogynistic) and it's often middle class educated people.
if someone is seeing this and is either polish or cares about what's going on at the border I recommend following Grupa Granica on Facebook or Twitter (I refuse to call it X sorry, their Facebook is more active but somehow I can't link it rn)
https://twitter.com/GrupaGranica?t=aYqDbl0TZDeBOoDX_kVLEw&s=09
they also have a store where you can buy things to help people at the border - it's everything from a 6 pack of water to a full survival kit, you can pitch in to pay for lawyers and buy gear for people going into the forests to help
and if you want to support a bigger NGO that also helps people already living in Poland I recommend this one, they also have a website in English so it's more accessible if you are maybe from another slavic country and would like to help (or from anywhere really). I used to support this one personally and will go back to it after my financial situation improves. They help all refugees so if you want to also support Ukrainian refugees you can do both here.
So if you are a slavic woman maybe instead of harassing another woman for venting her frustration, go and buy a six pack of water for a person suffering from being trapped at the border between two slavic countries that are apparently not racist?
‘ur people’ man shut your ass up my people stayed in their damn country and minded their business. don’t include slavic women in your hatred because we didn’t do shit! WE got the shitty end of the stick from the westerners too lol.
meanwhile poland and belarus were keeping middle eastern refugees between their borders in the freezing cold, letting them freeze to death, and even shooting them to death lol… meanwhile all slavic countries are insanely racist to us too, even ukraine was making black foreigners fleeing the war go to the back of the line bc they viewed black & brown ppl as less valuable… ur countries being powerless didn’t stop u from mistreating those even more powerless than u, ie the racial minorities in ur countries. btw russia is a slavic country and despite apparently not doing shit, they managed to colonise like all of central asia…

ouu wanna give me some veronica mars jewish headcanons? any character you choose!
There are so many good options here (like I am very sure in my heart that the Sinclairs and therefore Mac are Jewish), but I am going to go with our boy Weevil.
Because we associate Latinos with Catholicism, but there are Jews all over Central America. Ask my high school friend who attended her cousin's lavish Bar Mitzvah in Mexico City. Ask my Salvadorean former co-worker who discovered, while cleaning out her emotionally distant alcoholic father's things after his death, evidence that he was Jewish and just understandably hid it from everyone including his future wife and kids after immigrating to El Salvador from Europe post WWII. And it is that second story I am going to borrow a little from for my headcanon.
I believe that Leti raised Eli going to the Cathoic church, but now imagine that he randomly gets a call from a cousin he's never heard of before or maybe a lawyer representing the family. In this headcanon, his mom was deported when he was still really young (which is a nice departure from my usual imagining that she overdosed), and that's how his dad's mom ended up raising him in the first place (his dad's new girl wasn't exactly keen to have him underfoot, which is again a kindness from my usual headcanon of his dad in jail) and logically he knows that she left him behind so that he would be "safe" and have "opportunities" (both of which make him feel extra shitty about how he's actually lived his life) but of course the little boy that lives inside of him will never not feel abandoned and like he somehow wasn't good enough for her to keep him with her. But now she's dead and they need him to fly out to a homeland he's never stepped foot on to resolve the terms of the will (and sign away some property there) and he doesn't want to go but is persuaded anyway (Maybe by his [half] sister, maybe by one of the boys, maybe Jade. The important thing is that he gets on that plane).
And he learns a lot about himself, and his mom, and so many other things on that trip, but one of those things is that his maternal great grandmother immigrated from Poland after surviving the Holocaust and that makes his mom Jewish, which apparently makes him Jewish. And he doesn't actually know what to do with that and he definitely doesn't appreciate Veronica mentioning it in front of Logan after she squeezes it out of him after his return. He absolutely expects Echolls to make fun of him about it, but instead Logan lights up like a damned Christmas Tree Menorah and starts insisting they have to make His grandmother's noodle kugel (because Lynn was now Jewish too, this is my headcanon and everyone is now Jewish) and a bunch of other plans that Eli has no fucking clue what they mean. The part about getting blackout drunk for Purim, at least, seems fairly straightforward.
