I have a small story to tell.

I'm doing a lil thing with a friend (Or my gf, I can't remember) and I, in White Face's voice, for a reason I... also can't remember, ask "What's a phone?" Not even a week later, the mobile port of IMSCARED comes out.

He fucking figured it out and I'll never live that down.

'Tis the season to unpack some stuff about Christmas from a minority perspective:

Christmas is a Christian holiday. The fact that many celebrate it in an irreligious way (which is valid!) does not change its origins, connotations, symbolism, nor what it has historically meant for religious minorities.

The idea that Christmas is "secular" (read: neutral) is a product of Christian hegemony and the blindness of many in Christian countries to the permeation of Christianity as "default" culture.

When someone says they don't celebrate Christmas since it's a Christian holiday, it is not actually reassuring or helpful to say something along the lines of "oh well it's just a secular day of family & presents for everyone! So you can celebrate it too!"

Though the above statement is usually well-intentioned, it is often distressing to hear because it is untrue and is erasing our lived experiences. The reflexive effort to make Christmas universal is a cultural reverberation of the millennia-old evangelizing effort to make Christianity universal, and as such, can be very uncomfortable for religious minorities.

I think the most beautiful thing that can happen in a fandom, is when people who have vastly different headcanons and interpretations of characters and ships can get along and appreciate the creativity of the other.

No fighting bc "oh this is wrong" "this isn't how I interpret it" "this isn't canon" "this is stupid/he would never fucking say this"

Just artists and fans supporting eachother

"I love how you portray this!" "I never would've thought of this!" "this is so creative"

So on and so forth.

Those interactions are what gives me so much life.

And I feel it in my heart every day when I look at my mutuals' art and headcanons. Which is so vastly different from my own, where I can't help but appreciate it.

Idk what's gotten into me or why in rambling.

I might take this down later but.

Me having hyperspecific minecraft mod wants.

Like, Bendy has a mod of his own (If only a little rough around the edges from what the pictures showed.) The Walten Files has a mod of its own. (Analog horror fans rejoice) Sonic.EXE has a mod featuring Green Mountain.

But I can't find a mod for IMSCARED that doesn't include every other horror killer in existence and stands on its own! I can't find one for ENA, either! I can't even find one for Mario 64, let alone B3313 or SM64: Classified! (I dunno how the former would work, myself... but still.)

I'd make it myself if I could, but I've never used Java in that way before! I don't know SHIT! I couldn't code if my life depended on it!

Everytime I see this screencap I took, I feel the need to explain myself on why the scares in B3313 work as well as they do: It's based on the active imagination we had as kids, the naive expectation that absolutely anything was possible in games like these.

When we were kids we didn't have the understanding that a game was a virtual space with solid set of rules. To us, absolutely anything was possible, and that was really scary. Anything could creep around every corner, and we expected the worst from the uncanny spaces and scary images.

Too scared to turn that sharp corner. Too scared of the empty hallways. Too scared to approach the eel. Too scared to approach the LLL painting. Too scared of the infinite staircases. Too scared to approach the weird vivid liquid that lead to HMC and DDD (this was a personal experience of mine). As you grow up, you understand the rules of the game and start to rule out those possibilities. You understand that some of those things don't fit the gameplay, the story, nor the context of the game. The spaces start to become familiar and those fears become vestiges of their former selves.

B3313 uses the recent breakthroughs in SM64 modding to make those fears real. The game's original rules are broken and all those images you thought about as a child can suddenly become real. You no longer have the safeguard of the game's rules.

That door can now take you somewhere discomforting. That sharp turn might actually hide something awful. You might actually get lost in the endless empty halls. The lights can now go off anytime. And that goddamn painting might just come to life.

Hey, you are not an embarrassment for not knowing how to do certain household chores/basic self-care. They do not come naturally to us. A lot of it takes practice! Maybe you had a neglectful guardian. Maybe you had one that was very coddling and never thought to teach you. Maybe you haven't lived in a place where these things were available to you or needed. Doesn't matter. It's okay to not know and far more common than you might realise.

That said, this website provides very simple instructions on how to do everyday tasks such as making your bed, using a washing machine, cooking different foods, washing dishes, taking a shower, etc. All you have to do is use the search bar to find the task you're struggling with, and it'll come up with what you need + other related how-to's:)

Hello world! Remember me? Probably not, anyway.

Spoilers for IMSCARED under the cut, but I wanted to show the peeps of the interwebs somethin'.

I got a new PC, so I put some ol' saves onto the new computer, right? Well, one of these was the White.ini file on its own. (cuz I needed to get stuff from Restorer before I could even THINK about putting in the Profitable.ini.)

And... I only got one picture of what happened that I took out of sheer terror to show a couple of friends that I wanted to send here because nobody's talking about it. (probably because this never happened before.)

No matter what you answer, she says "just kidding!" and shoo's you off... but still, that fuckin' scared the shit out of me. (And inspired me to write something on AO3, believe it or not.)

So yeah, TL;DR: IMSCARED anti-cheat.
