Ambrosia is a canid with highly aggressive body-wide cancers, to the point where one has taken form as a half formed face in the back of her head. She is very weak as a result, but it's nurtured a stronger sense of patience and kindness in her. Ambrosia knows she may not have long left, and while she laments the fact she must die young, she knows she won't die unloved and unhappy.

Rosa approached Dark Choco, looking rather uncertain of herself, and a little shy. Already used to his own towering height and knowing he had no reason to be wary of the laidback rabbid, Dark Choco had brought himself down to one knee for easier interaction by the time Rosa had pushed herself to speak up. He furrowed his brow as he took the gift, which... definitely wouldn't be helpful if she was already so nervous.

But the confusion was definitely justified. 'Christmas' was a word he'd heard thrown around from time-to-time, Beep-0 and the others especially bringing it up in conjunction with plans to revisit Pristine Peaks, but he'd never really gotten a grasp on exactly what it was.

"I don't. I've never seen a holiday like it before..."

He admitted, biting back the urge to say 'back at home, in the Dark Cacao Kingdom'. It was hard to imagine he'd be going back there anytime soon, what with everything that'd happened and where he was now. What point was there in thinking back on traditions he didn't deserve - and would never be welcome - to partake in ever again?

As far as he was aware, he had no home.

"But it does sound... nice."

Moving on, Dark Choco began to pull at the ribbon holding it together, undoing that before peeling away the wrapping paper with the awkwardness of someone who didn't know if he was supposed to preserve it or simply tear into it. Regardless, his hands eventually reached the gift itself, carefully pulling it out.

A hat.

It was then that Vampastra - one of the Sparks they'd assigned to him, though not without a healthy amount of debate first - decided to float in from seemingly nowhere, already much more visibly pleased with the gift than Dark Choco was. "It looks great! Put it on, put it on!" He urged, and the prince obliged.

It was about as nice and snug as it looked. Vampastra flashed a large, fanged smile while Dark Choco gave a much more reserved smile.

"You didn't have to do this... Thank you."

He was definitely going to mess with the puffball on top later.

There's a not insignificant chance I'll get to open a DND club at my school so I made these quick charts to help. They're made to be printed in A5 format, and if anyone is interested I can try and put a link to the PDF version on drive.

First image covers the type and names of dice. Image 2 explains ability scores, img 3 explains what modifiers, HP, AC, Proficiency, DC saving throw & death save mean.

Image 4 & 5 are also lists of words but they have a big red logo with white axes in it. Img 4 explains flanking, advantage, disadvantage, melee range, critical hit/fail, area of effect and ranged spell attack. Img 5 explains the elements of combat: Initiative, what a Round is, movement, action, bonus action, reaction, attack of opportunity.

My next step is to make one of these per class to help players remember their main level 1 features and main rolls, but that's probably going to have to wait until later.

WHY IS SHADOW AN EDGY BASTARD WHO WEARS ALL BLACK Since I'm often working in full color I don't usually have to worry about conveying hue AND shade at the same time. This was a deliberate challenge on that front. I’m proud of how the dramatic lighting turned out! I really wanted to convey the harsh contrast between sunlight and shade, but I also wanted to stick to the challenge of only using my 50% gray pen for shading.

Also proud of the hand-holding, I think I have literally never drawn clasped hands before.
