⸺ THE SOUND OF LIGHTS BUZZING filled the silence of the prison. the air was thick as someone new walked in, everyone was spread out around the place, quiet and restless. the black metal bomb collars on their necks didn’t go unnoticed as they shined brightly.
chishiya sighed readjusting his posture. the last player had finally arrived he was waiting here for ages to the point that boredom had started to grow inside him. the tv rang as it turned on, starting to speak.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: JACK OF HEARTS.
GAME: SOLITARY CONFINEMENT.
the game was simple. guess the shape that appeared on the back of your collar, without cheating by looking at the symbol yourself or with a reflective object. choose a cell once the five minutes of each round ended and state your symbol. seemed easy right?
not quite.
there was time limit during the symbol guessing, don’t answer correctly or take too long to answer? consider your life, game over. the tv stated that the shapes would change every round, this is when a man with navy blue overalls ontop of a yellow shirt decided to speak up, ippei oki.
“wait a sec, so that means we just have to ask each other what our symbols are!”
attention was turned to him at this, “that seems easy enough.” a man who went by (name) spoke up, his mouth shifting into a toothy smile as he went to stand behind ippei going to tell him his symbol before chishiya butted in. “i’m not so sure. they haven’t told us what the conditions to win are yet.”
BE AWARE THAT YOUR OPPONENT, THE JACK OF HEARTS, HAS ALREADY BEEN PLACED AMONG YOU.
“oh, that’s good.”
the announcer continued to talk. no type of violence between players, no weapons, and the game will stop once the jack of hearts is defeated until then, the participants would be forced to stay here unless they find a way to figure it out. chishiya spoke up again, “this means that the only way this game will ever end, is if the jack gives the wrong answer. so, basically, no one here is getting out alive, unless they lie to the jack.”
(name) furrowed his brows at him, “but.. how will we do that if we don’t know who the jack is?” he questioned. chishiya turned to him as a slight smirk tugged at his lip corners, “that’s why we’re here to find out.”
THE GAME WILL NOW COMMENCE.
ROUND ONE: 01: 00: 00
the room fell into another uncomfortable silence, everyone looked at each other until someone spoke up. asking another man about his symbol, the man obliged. completely ignoring the possibility of this man being the jack. how dumb. “so, the twenty of us need to eliminate each other until we somehow figure out who the jack of hearts is.” a man in a suit, ōki yaba, said reminding everyone of what could happen, “what makes you think that anyone is trustworthy?”
the two pulled away, looking at the other in a puzzled manner. everyone else started to break up into groups despite this, in a way to make sure “no one” was going to lie. chishiya just stared, his sharp eyes examining everyone in the room, not bothering to care at their attempts to seemingly win this, “um.. excuse me.” his head turned at the call, it was (name).
“do you—do you mind telling me my symbol, please? and..if you want i’ll tell you yours.” chishiya’s eyes racked upon the man’s body language. his posture was stiff as his hands fiddled against each other, fingers rubbing against another, you could tell his anxiety was through the roof. “are you sure? for all you know, i could be the jack.”
“the jack wouldn’t say something like that.”
chishiya raised his eyebrows at the sternness, he felt something stirring inside him as he stared at the man infront of him, “good point,” he exhaled through his nose, swallowing down a bit of saliva that was stuck in his throat, “but, if you’re trying to survive, i’d advise you examine the people here a little more carefully. keep the ones who don’t lie close, you don’t know who’d be ready to stab you in the back at any moment. i wouldn’t let my guard down, if i were you.”
“does… does that apply to you as well? because, i don’t feel like you’d be the type of person who’d do that,” (name) said with a hint of nervousness in his voice. chishiya didn’t reply, just staring at his face with dark pupils, the jet black eyeliner that decorated his eyelids enhanced them. he felt something stirr inside him again, what was he feeling?
“hey!” a girl wearing all blue with a half up half down hairstyle walked up to ippei, urumi aramaki, a giant smile was plastered on her face as other players were trailing behind her, “do you three wanna join our team? no pressure or anything.”
“uh, it’s not that i don’t want to..” ippei said as him and (name) looked at eachother then at chishiya, he had a grin on his face as he seemingly brightened at her invitation, “okay. we’ll join your group.” chishiya replied for them emphasizing the ‘o’ as he said it. she smiled even more at this, nodding her head at them as she walked away to head downstairs.
(name) whipped his head at chishiya, narrowing his eyes as he opened his mouth, “but you said—“
“disregard what i said,” chishiya cut him off tearing the hoodie from his head as he leaned off from the wall, “i think this might be fun.”
Tumblr media
ROUND TWELVE BEGINS NOW.
one, then two, three, then five, seven, then nine, ten, then thirteen. hours have passed, half of the players were already gone and the jack of hearts still hasn’t been found.
(name) was crying, his legs planted under him as his hands clutched against his chest. he was still in his cell, not bothering to get up as he weeped. ippei was gone, he killed himself. killed himself even when he was told what the right answer was all because he couldn’t deal with everyone trying to trick each other. (name)’s heart couldn’t handle this anymore, he didn’t believe that people would actually go this far to win. chishiya was right about all this, he should’ve never let his guard down, he should’ve never trusted anyone.
he tried to be kind. always telling everyone the right answer no matter what. even telling urumi the right shape despite when she had gotten more than one person killed. (name) lived his life treating everyone with the upmost respect, he believed that everyone had a good soul deep down. even when they didn’t show it, no one was a bad person in his eyes. no one, not even the person that placed him in these games.
the door opened, letting brightness into the poorly lighten room. chishiya stood there in the middle, hands in the pockets of his jacket as he observed his shaking body. chishiya was jealous of (name). him and his golden personality. the smiles that he gave him after every round started or ended. trying not to let the deaths of the other players get to him, even trying to get chishiya to laugh when he didn’t want to.
wanting to share his snacks when they went down in the basement, comforting ippei when he was about to break down, trying to interfere when the other players tried sabotaging each other (and chishiya always having to stop him), never letting chishiya’s words break him down when he told him what he needed to hear, even when he looked half dead half the time. he wished he could be like that, happy.
“hmph,” chishiya sighed as he looked into the window of the door. ippei’s body was layed out against the wooden tiles, his blood scattered against the walls of the room as he pondered, “looks like we’ve lost our partner.” he moved his head up, seeing the rest of the remaining players looking at the duo, seemingly questioning them with their eyes as they heard the explosion in ippei’s cell. he didn’t care about that of course, he never did. as long as (name) was still alive it didn’t matter to him. his feet began to move, walking away from the dead body expecting (name) to follow behind him like he regularly did during each round.
silence. he didn’t hear anything trailing next to him, weird, since (name) was just behind him. chishiya stopped in his tracks, turning his legs to see what was keeping (name) from moving. ah. the man was staring at ippei’s corpse, he forgot the friendship the two had made during the rounds. chishiya rolled his eyes as he walked back up to him, (name)’s head refused to move away from the door, “it’s not worth your time.” chishiya said trying to return his focus back onto him, “he already chose his path. there was nothing you could do.” (name) gulped, nodding his head as he chewed on his bottom lip to prevent himself from crying, he was never the best at hiding his emotions. either way, he was glad he was able to make a friend during his time here, even if it was for a little while.
“c’mon, i’m hungry.” chishiya joked signaling his head to the direction of the basement. (name) took one last glance at ippei, his glossy eyes moving to look at the white haired man infront of him. he was so close to breaking, chishiya’s stomach stirred once again. butterflies, that’s what he was feeling. he felt butterflies moving around in his stomach at (name)’s gaze. why hadn’t he realized that before? was this love? no. this was something more, something he couldn’t point his finger at. but… what was this?
‘i don’t feel like you’d be the type of person who’d do that.’ those words echoed in chishiya’s head everytime (name) looked at him. oh, how wrong he was. how very wrong. he’s glad he hadn’t met him before, during the beach, his poor sunshine, maybe then he’d think about reconsidering those words.
the man shook his head as chishiya approached him, crouching down to meet at his eye level, “i’m tired..” (name) whined, his voice stammering at the words that left him, “i’m tired, chishiya. i don’t wanna do this anymore..” chishiya cocked his head, not bothering to hide his cat-like mannerisms. “this world has no place for people like you.”
“huh—”
“your kindness means nothing here,” he explained, “it doesn’t matter what you do, since it won’t be enough. the citizens here are like animals, i already told you, ‘examine the people here a little more carefully,’ but you didn’t listen. letting your heart steer you and not your brain, that was your first mistake. you’re never gonna be safe here if you keep up this act, you know better than this.”
(name) breathed heavily, he was right. his heart was holding him in a headlock. this place was about survival, not love, not care or empathy. all the people who’ve left him to die in previous games came flashing back to him, they were already dead. the previous players, dead. but him, he was still alive, this was how it always was supposed to be, just him. chishiya soothed back the loose hair strands that had fallen onto his face with his cold hands, watching (name) finally come to the realization he was trying to show him this whole time. a sharp smirk covered his face, “besides, you don’t wanna end up like ippei, do you?”
that. that was the breaking point. “no! no… no, never, i don’t—i don’t want that!” (name) yelled, if the remaining four players weren’t already far away from the cells, they could’ve heard what chishiya said and pin point him into the accusation of being the jack of hearts. good thing they weren’t though, luck was always on chishiya’s side right? “then why give up? you’ve already made it this far, why stop. other people would just beg to be in your position, you know.” (name)’s eyes steered away from him, ducking his head down as his body shivered.
chishiya always knew how to get into someone’s mind, it was like second nature to him. always convincing someone he was there to help, acting all buddy buddy just to leave them in a ditch somewhere. whether it be dead or alive, he didn’t care, he only worried about his own skin. his own chances of survival. but thats not how he felt towards (name), no. he wanted (name) to stick around with him. maybe even have him meet kuina, he knows she’d love him. she always liked guys like him. “now…” chishiya spoke up, the grin on his face still hadn’t faltered as he turned himself around,,
“mind telling me what my symbol is?”
Tumblr media
kuina thighs were aching, she’d already been through three face card arenas and she still hasn’t caught sight of ann or chishiya since they were separated during the king of spades game. she was getting tired, what if this plan of hers was for nothing? what if she broke off from arisu and usagi just to end herself up in circles? kuina shook her head, no. she knew one of them was close, she knew it. it was only a matter of time before the three reunited with each other.
‘stay positive’ she reminded herself, not letting her worries try and get to her. kuina moved her legs once more before a growl left her stomach. ah right, food. she forgot about that. unhooking her backpack from her shoulders, she unzipped it scattering the bag for any type of protein bar she might’ve left in it just in case. nothing, her hand picked up an empty wrapper chucking it against the gravel beside her. kuina scowered her eyes around, looking for any type of place that could’ve possibly had something to eat.
her iris stopped as they landed on an abandoned market, she picked her bag up once again as she checked around her to make sure nothing of harm was near it. she carefully walked towards it, stepping through the broken glass door as she scanned through the place. all the shelves were messed up but the food that were left on it had yet to be expired. she chucked anything that was healthy into her bag, not wanting to waste any time on getting back to her search. kuina jittered as a loud bang was heard in the back of the store, the sound of cans toppling over intrigued her.
she started moving, not thinking twice of the danger that could possibly be waiting for her. taking slow and easy steps towards the noise, her hands were balled up into fists, sure she was heading into something that might kill her but at least she was still being cautious. a tuft of white blurred past her vision, her eyes focused on what she was seeing, an almost human-like figure was making itself clearer to her. could it be—“chishiya?” her eyes enlarged themselves as she stared at him.
chishiya stood there with cookies in his hands, his outfit was different from when she last saw him. he sported a white jacket over a pitch black shirt and sweatpants, he was still somehow clean, no dirt or anything was to be seen on his pure white sweater or hair. “hey.” was all he said, his lips pressed into his regular straight thin line. kuina hesitated at first, what if her mind was playing tricks on her because of how hungry she was? there was no way. yes, she loved chishiya but she doesn’t think her brain was this good at making things seem real.
“chishiya!” she exclaimed extending both of her arms as she lunged at him. he winced as she took him in a bone crushing hug, he forgot how strong she was. “how are you here? when did you get here?—“ kuina bombarded him with questions, ‘where did he go?,’ ‘how’d he have time to change?,’ ‘what games did he play?’ stuff like that. another sound was heard, she focused her attention on this one, chishiya didn’t seem to care. kuina pushed him behind her, she had already found the source of his noise, so what could be making this one?
a man stumbled out from behind one of the shelves, a gun was perched onto his shoulder and a plastic bag was held in one of his hands as he stared at the two, centering his eyes onto chishiya. “don’t worry,” chishiya said to him stepping away from kuina’s hold, “this is kuina, the one i told you about when we left.”
(name) relaxed his body language, bambi eyes scanning over kuina before he extended one of his hands out, “it’s nice to meet you, i’m (name).” he introduced waiting for her to comply to the handshake. kuina looked over at chishiya, raising one of her eyebrows at him before she placed her hands into his. “you too.” she smirked as she fully soaked in his appearance, “hey... you’re kinda cute, y’know.” (name) raised his eyebrows turning his gaze back to chishiya.
“we met during the jack of hearts game,” chishiya started walking over to (name)’s side as he stared at him, placing his hand on his shoulder turning back to kuina, “he’s pretty useful, he’d be a good benefit to us. i already told him he could join us.” kuina crossed her arms ontop of her chest, the muscles on her biceps defining themselves at her action as she licked her lips slightly, “is that so?”
(name) nodded his head, his face looked broken, like he wasn’t even a person and more like a robot or a doll. what had chishiya done to him? “well, it’s nice to have you on our ‘team,’ (name).” she complimented him, he bowed his head as a thank you. “use your words,” chishiya demanded him sternly, “thank you, kuina.”
kuina cooed at him, ‘how cute’ she thought. it was like this man was made specifically for the two of them. obedient, handsome but slightly sexy, nice, semi-protective, his height even reached to her shoulders but he still towered over chishiya just how she likes it, and… did she mention cute? he was kinda like how arisu was when they first met him if you thought about it, only this time chishiya didn’t have any thoughts about betraying him. oh, she was definitely going to enjoy this addition of their relationship.
the three were walking on a dirty path through the city. kuina and chishiya were farther ahead as (name) trailed behind them, struggling to catch up with the two especially with all the extra weight they had forced upon him (the food bags in his hands, kuina’s heavy backpack and the gun hanging loosely off his shoulder.)
the duo infront had no want and made no effort in stopping for him. “i have to give to you, chishiya,” kuina says biting down on her fake cigar, “you really know how to pick them,” she turned back watching as (name) kept his head low throughout all the steps he made.
chishiya let another smirk leave his lips following her gaze, “so, what do you think?”
“i like him.”

Dark Descent: Shuntaro Chishiya X fem/afab!Reader
Twisted Truths: incest, cunnilingus, fingering, vaginal penetration, squirting, creampie, pet names
Synopsis: As Shuntaro was studying late in the night, a certain person came in search of his help. And that person is none other than his sweet, little sister.
Shadows Lengthen: 1.8k words
Tumblr media
        "Oniichan..."
A needy whimper filled the blonde man's ears, pausing his study to glance at the person who entered his room in the middle of the night. There, standing by the entrance was his beloved little sister. Her face was scrunched up in dissatisfaction, a frown settled on her lips and her eyebrows creased slightly.
Shuntaro turned his swivel chair to face her, dropping his reading glasses on the desk. "Come here."
Right away, the girl waddled to her older brother. As if on instinct, she climbed on top of him on the chair, legs on either side as she sat on his lap, facing him. The man's lips curved up, resting his hands on her hips while staring up at her.
"What's the matter, sweetie?" he cooed, leaning up to plant a short kiss on her lips. It wasn't long before another one followed it. He continued like this for a few more moments, relishing the feeling of his sister's soft skin under his touch as he kissed her.
Once she pulled away, he stared back at her with an expectant expression. She looked down at him, still pouting, but her eyes had softened from their initial irritation. "I'm wet and tingly."
"Is that so?" he hummed, the corner of his eyes crinkled up with amusement. "And what does this have anything to do with me?"
It took only a split second for Shuntaro to catch a glimpse of his sister's reddening cheeks. His expression shifted to be one of delight, and he let out a chuckle. With a swift movement, his fingers lifted the white nightdress that covered her lower half. And just like she said, her underwear was stained with wetness that can barely seen in the dim lighting of the room.
He chuckled again at the sight, letting his hand drift down her sides to rest on the exposed expanse of her stomach. She blushed harder, her eyes widening slightly when Shuntaro's hand trailed lower. Then, just as she had expected, his slender digits pressed against her core, feeling the wetness against the fabric.
"Onii...chan..." she mewled, instinctively pushing against his finger for more friction. That didn't stop his fingers from pressing even harder into the slick wetness between her legs, teasingly rubbing the tip of his index finger inside. She moaned softly, her eyes slipping shut. "Please..."
He smiled smugly at the sound of her beg, knowing full well that he could use that to get her going. When she started begging, it was hard not to comply; she was too beautiful to deny. So Shuntaro did exactly what she asked. Without warning, his fingers slid inside of her, his digit sliding against her slit.
She arched into his hand, a loud groan escaping her throat. Shuntaro couldn't resist the urge to add another finger inside, now massaging the already wet place that made her squirm beneath his fingers.
"Does this feel good to you?" he whispered, moving his hand away from her core to cup her chin. "Are you excited?"
His question seemed to answer her need to climax and she nodded enthusiastically, opening her mouth to let out a high-pitched moan as his fingers slipped deeper. Shuntaro smirked at the sight, his tongue darting out to lick his lips slowly. He leaned forward, capturing her lips with his, letting her taste herself on his tongue. He loved the way she tasted — salty and sweet.
After several minutes of making out with his sister, he broke away. She looked like she was about ready to burst; her breathing was ragged and her eyes were glazed over with lustful desire. Her skin flushed red from her arousal and Shuntaro knew that there would be bruises in the morning. The thought gave him an evil pleasure.
"Good," he murmured in approval, stroking her cheeks. She smiled sleepily at him, leaning her head on his shoulder. "You want more, don't you? How about giving your Oniichan a midnight snack before I indulge myself fully? I need a break from studies, after all."
Regaining her energy, the girl nodded excitedly and jumped off him. She went straight to his bed and prepared pillows. Then, she settled by the edge of the bed, her nightgown hiked up until her bare breast and she removed her wet undergarment, leaving nothing but her pink, fluffy, folds waiting to be devoured. Shuntaro watched fondly as the girl spread her legs open wider, baring her smooth inner thighs to his hungry gaze.
"Such a beautiful thing for me," he marveled, walking closer to inspect her cunt. The traces of slickness left behind on her inner thigh caused a delicious shiver to run through his body, one that made his cock twitch with longing for his little sister to be pleasured.
He knelt in front of her core, inhaling the sweet scent coming from it as his hands caressed her silky soft skin. He leaned forward, kissed her swollen clit, and licked the rim of her vagina before licking his lips clean. He closed his eyes and savored her sweetness, humming contently.
Shuntaro opened his mouth to swallow down the small piece of flesh in his mouth, biting lightly to tease her. He then gently sucked the sensitive area, making sure to leave enough saliva and juices on the surface. The girl bit her lip, allowing him to consume her. She let out a low moan, which spurred Shuntaro to continue.
He continued to play with her until she reached her peak, and then Shuntaro moved on to her clit. This time, he flicked his tongue around her sensitive clit, teasing the tight bud repeatedly until it became so sensitive that it throbbed in response. At some point, Shuntaro's tongue also traveled between her labia and rubbed the swollen flesh in circles, causing her to bite down on her lower lip in pleasure.
"O-oniichan! Gonna cum!" she mewled, arching her back in pure pleasure. Her orgasm came almost immediately, and he grinned.
"Did I please you, precious?" he asked, pulling back slightly and licking the juices coating her rim with satisfaction.
"Mhm," she managed to nod despite heavy breaths, her glazed-over hues still fixated on her older brother's movements.
"I think it's time for the main course."
Shuntaro smirked, his eyes narrowing while he made quick movements to remove his loose pants and underwear. His younger sister watched as his dick was released from its confines and the tip of it glistened in anticipation. She bit her lip, her gaze following the erection, the head glistening in the dim light.
A blush formed on her cheeks as Shuntaro approached her, bending down slightly so that their faces were level. Inhaling deeply, he brushed her lips with his own and began kissing her hungrily, thrusting his tongue deep into her moist mouth to make up for the lack of a proper kiss earlier.
He pushed himself into her slowly, savoring the feel of her warmth. Wanton moans escaped his sister's precious lips, which he devoured with his needy kiss. He kept his rhythm slow as he pumped himself inside his sister, the sounds of their panting filling his dark room. Their tongues danced together feverishly in a sensual dance; soon their breathing grew heavy, but they ignored any discomfort they may have felt at that moment in time.
"So...tight... So...warm... So perfect..." he pulled away for a breather from their passionate kiss, his hips keeping a steady rhythm.
Squelches from their lovemaking reverberated around the room, and the pleasure was building rapidly. The way his dick stretched her insides, the way he fucked her with such force and urgency, Shuntaro had never done something like this with anyone else but always had the best sex with his sister. His cock hardened further and his face scrunched up in pleasure. The longer he buried himself inside of his sister, the faster and deeper he thrust into her, increasing his pace each time.
His fingers curled around her breast and squeezed, bringing forth a soft cry from his sister. He continued to pump his member deep inside of her, the feeling of his hot girth stretching her insides causing her muscles to tighten around him.
Shuntaro continued to fuck her, his mouth moving from her breasts to nip the curve of her neck as his finger worked her nipples while the other one held her hip steady. Her moans turned into whimpers as her fingers gripped the sheets tightly, her nails digging into them. The smell of the sweat clinging to the sheets mingling with the lingering scent of her arousal filled the air.
"C'mere, baby," he ushered, his lips finding their way back to hers. They locked into another steamy make-out session, the older Chishiya gobbling the younger's cries of pleasure, their saliva dripping down their chin.
Soon Shuntaro found a good rhythm, slamming into her and continuing to drive himself home without breaking their kiss. He couldn't help but smirk proudly at the noises she uttered—how she completely melted in his arms and clutched his shoulders desperately, how she cried out when her orgasm hit her, the fact that she couldn't control herself and her voice grew louder.
As he reached his peak, Shuntaro stilled inside her, his cum shooting out rope after rope inside her warm womb. His hand pressed against her lower abdomen as he then rolled his hips to ride out the afterglow, leaving his sister gasping for air at the overstimulation and pleasure.
"A-ah! Oniichan! No more!" she begged, her entire body spasming. But her words came out a little muffled, as she struggled to breathe.
Chuckling softly, he took his hand from her stomach and cupped her cheek, his thumb rubbing her cheekbone tenderly. Shuntaro then bent down and kissed her on the forehead tenderly. Despite wanting to have another round, the blonde man heeded his sister's words. After all, he still needed to resume his studies and the girl needed to return to sleep this late at night.
"Did you enjoy it, sweetheart? That helped with your problem, right?" he cooed softly, pulling out his cock from her wet entrance and watching as the mixture of their cum pooled out beneath her. Shuntaro smirked as he glanced at the stain.
"Mhm..." she breathed dreamily, her eyes fluttering shut as he wiped the sticky liquid from her inner walls. Once again, she rested on the pillows, resting comfortably and closing her eyes. "Thank you...Oniichan... Love you..."
"Rest now, my little sister. I love you too," he whispered tenderly, pressing his lips against her temple affectionately. He gazed lovingly at her before cleaning her up and tucking her in his bed for the night.

Gotta love the King of Diamonds. He took at look at the incredibly convenient lasers and explosion collars that every other game maker uses to kill the losers and then said
Nah I want SULFURIC ACID.

Brains & Brawn- Chapter 14: Round 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Usagi, she’s not affiliated with Chishiya. Or Niragi.” Arisu hit the side of Usagi’s shoulder playfully then sombered. “You’re not– right?”
“Not anymore,” you smiled sadly.
Kuina had introduced you to the pair in an effort to make a truce. Unwittingly, they had formed a grudge against you before you became properly acquainted. First, it was Niragi. You both were the most  well-known militant pair. Then, they knew vaguely of your relationship with Chishiya, and the combination was enough to mark you as an enemy.
Usagi grimaced, and staggered forward as Arisu pushed her. She begrudgingly stuck out her hand, and you shook it vigorously. It had taken a miracle for her to get to this point.
“If I see you around either one of them, I’ll beat the crap out of you. Got it?” Usagi smiled threateningly. She didn’t need to reference who she was talking about directly.
You nodded, flinching slightly.
“Perfect! Nice to meet you, I never introduced myself properly since Hatter dragged us in. I’m Usagi.”
“Arisu.” He bowed his head before grinning again.
“What’s so funny?” Kuina interjected, laughing loosely as the tension finally broke. She had to play the role of the mediator for the past hour, delicately explaining your situation until Usagi was willing to come near you.
Arisu fiddled with a phone he had in his hand, tossing it back and forth. “It’s just I never imagined that we would end up here. All together like this and alive.”
“I just have one concern. If we cleared all the games, then why are we still here?” Kuina frowned.
Kuina was addressing everyone, but she was looking at Arisu. He lowered his head sheepishly once more when he noticed everyone else looked towards him.
“I don’t know,” Arisu admitted. He glanced down at the phone he was carrying and clicked the side. The bright white of the screen flashed as it powered on. “Wait, it works?”
You wrinkled your eyebrow in confusion. The only phones you had seen were for game registration. “Where did you get that?”
“I picked it up during the 10 of Hearts…” Arisu trailed off as he flicked a few buttons on the screen. “Oh my god– look at this.”
You all huddled around Arisu holding the phone as video footage played. Two girls appeared on screen, whom you recognized to be the Witch who died– Momoka and her friend Asahi. They were talking about how they got there, you realized.
“We wanted to show you,” Momoka explained, weaving through the plant-covered city. “The nature of this world.”
They entered a subway station, and walked through the tunnels to a steel door. There was a keypad next to it, and they showed the code.
The room inside had dozens upon dozens of screens littering the walls. People everywhere were frantically watching what was on them, while cheering and yelling. It was like they were watching a sports game, but with an additional air of desperation.
Momoka walked closer to the screens, close enough for you to see what was pictured on them.
It was you. All of you. The people in the room were watching the players during the games.
And they weren’t cheering when the players won. They only did so when they lost.
“Hey– get that phone out of here!” A man’s voice yelled. The camera footage immediately cut to black.
“So they’re the ones who ran the games,” Kuina said slowly. “What subway was that?”
“I think I know where it is. Maybe they’re still there. We can get our answers,” Arisu said and immediately started trekking towards the city.
You blinked nervously at Arisu’s back and watched the rest follow. The thought of what happened at the Beach made you pause, dropping towards the back of the group. There still could be survivors outside of the Beach with weapons. And you all weren’t armed. “Wait– it might be dangerous.”
Arisu stopped and waited for a moment.  You grabbed a gun that a militant had left behind, the cool feel was reassuring and familiar. Shooting was all you had ever known. It was what had protected you for so long– even from Chishiya. It was safe.
The pang from the shooting you had done with Chishiya briefly felt painful, yet nostalgic. Most times you had your weapon of choice, it was around Chishiya.
Arisu led the group towards downtown Shibuya. You gasped as you saw how much foliage there was. Somehow in the past couple of days you hadn’t been out, it seemed to triple.
“Look– there’s a deer!” Kuina exclaimed giddily. A fawn and its mother stared at you from afar, then skittered away quickly.
Usagi stared off in the direction of the deer. “How is it possible for it to grow so quickly? It’s not like the real world at all.”
“I think we left the real world behind a long time ago,” you said solemnly.
The map that showed travelers which train to take was outside of the tunnel that led to the subway. The monochromatic color of the concrete and the entrance starkly contrasted with the vividness routes marked on the map.
“Let’s go in, yeah?” Arisu said reassuringly. He pulled out the phone and skipped to the part of the video where the girls were walking into the subway. He disappeared into the darkness of the subway, the girls’ faint voices going with him.
You felt ill at what you might discover. The people down there were the ones running the games, and you had cleared them all. Were they still there? What would happen now since you had discovered their secret hideout?
A light touch from Kuina grounded your fears, her hand grazing the back of yours comfortingly. “It’ll be okay,” she murmured. “We’re all together now.”
But you weren’t. He wasn’t there.
You swallowed painfully and smiled. “I hope so.”
The chatter of the group ahead bounced off the walls, sounding like murmurs as you and Kuina followed the sound. Water droplets from the humidity dropped into puddles, a rhythm forming with your steps.
Drip. Drip. Splash.
Drip. Drip. Splash
Drip. Drip.
Silence. The final splashing sound was interrupted– like something had stopped it from falling into the puddle. You turned around for a brief moment.
“What?” Kuina looked confused as you whipped your head around. Her forehead wrinkled further when you held your finger up to your lips as a gesture.
Through the palpable silence, you still only heard Arisu. It didn’t feel right. The silence was as if someone was holding their breath since you stopped walking.
You exhaled a shuddering breath. “I guess it’s nothing.”
“Are you sure?”
Kuina grabbed your arm and brushed the strand of hair out of your eyes. She looked concerned, her tired eyes imploring you for an answer. Her eye bags were dark and set, outlined further by the shadowy atmosphere. She was too young to have such old eyes.
“Yes I’m su-”
A rustling sound came from behind. You didn’t mistaken it at all. It floated around the edges of the tunnel before disappearing.
You traced the path of the figure with your eyes, but you truly had no idea what or who it was. Or where it was going. It was a lost cause to try. “I’m sure.”
“Hey!” Arisu’s voice filled the tunnel, reverberating off of the walls.
“What?” Kuina yelled back. She looked at you quizzically and you shrugged in reply. You had no idea what was going on in Arisu’s head, much like Chishiya’s.
They were eerily similar in their logic at times, but their personalities were so different. One was human, and the other seemed to be pretending.
“I found something!” Arisu yelled, interrupting your thoughts once more. The splashing of water followed as you and Kuina approached a familiar metal door Arisu was standing in front of. “Look at this.”
Arisu then held up the phone recording to the frame of the steel door’s keypad Momoka had entered.
Silently aside from the clicks of the keypad, you watched helplessly as Arisu slowly punched in each number. With a creak, the door swung open to reveal the same room Momoka had shown before the screen blacked out.
Instead of bustling people and bright television screens, the room was barely lit. You gasped as you looked to the floor to see it littered with bodies, with some of the televisions having a hole punched through.
“Doesn’t this look fun?” A voice said from the corner of the room in his telltale smug tone.
Before any of you could reply, all of the televisions lit up at the same time, revealing the face of an executive you knew well.
Mira practically beamed with joy as she made her announcement to the Borderlands. “Everyone, this stage has all been great fun! You’ve been through so much together. You’ve watched your friends die in so many ways.”
The screen shifted as she spoke, portraying each of her words as if she spoke them to life. “You’ve watched them lose, get burned, and even betray others– themselves included. But it’s all over now, you’ve won!”
You nervously looked at the others in the room, their faces lit up with fleeting happiness. Aside from Chishiya, who absentmindedly was staring at a corner in the room.
Mira hemmed and looked to the side of the screen. Her smile became even wider. “The fun isn’t over! We have prepared a special second round of games for you. I can’t wait to see you soon,” she winked and the screen was promptly replaced with a countdown to the second stage.
"Just what we needed, another fucking round!" you exasperatedly exclaimed.
“Oh god, do you think we’ll have to face Mira?” Kuina frowned, “I saw the way she cleared hearts games as an executive– it was scary.”
“Obviously,” Chishiya sighed, turning his attention to your group. “It would at least be interesting to see who else is running the games.”
Arisu made a sound like he was choking. “You can’t be looking forward to more games?”
Chishiya’s blank gaze at Arisu was unreadable as he smiled faintly. “It’s something to pass the time.” He turned towards you with his hands in his pockets. “Can we speak–” he gestured at the rest of the people in the room, “in private?”
“She has nothing to say to you,” Kuina interrupted before you could even think of a reply.
“She can speak for herself,” Chishiya retorted.
You looked up at Chishiya, hoping to find some semblance of familiarity in those eyes. He crooked his head to the side as if questioning your next move, but didn’t give away any feelings he may or may not have had. You weren’t sure if the throbbing pains in your chest were greater from his presence or absence.
Suddenly, a waft of peppermint reached your nostrils, and you answered without hesitation. “I’ll go. I’ll follow you.”
Kuina grabbed your wrist tightly, but you gently shook her off. “It’ll be okay,” you said, without glancing back, hurrying forth.
Chishiya had already set off, not checking to see if you were behind him. The dripping noises in the empty tunnels set your walking pace– drip, step, drip, step. It was a comforting rhythm, something reliable when you were with someone so unpredictable.
There was a small room, barely bigger than a broom closet that was hidden in the corner of the subway. He led you there and pulled on a string to illuminate the empty area.
He murmured a question that you didn’t quite catch, his brown eyes dark as his back was to the lighting.
“What?” you asked, trying not to gawk at the situation.
“Nevermind, it was nothing,” he offered in return.
The constantly frustrated feeling from his mercurial behavior arose once more, your veins burst with fire as you remembered how he had behaved in recent days. “Honestly, what do you want from me? You’ve made it quite clear how you feel about me— why the fuck are you even here?”
Chishiya, as always, somehow managed to give a non-answer. “I wanted to continue observing you.”
“Rest assured, your guinea pig doesn’t have any plans of dying quite yet,” you snorted. “Just fuck off for this stage, won’t you? I don’t plan on being your sacrifice.”
You pulled the string to turn the lights off, leaving Chishiya in the shadows as you returned to Arisu. He said something to your back that you didn’t quite catch again, but when you finally turned around he was walking away once more.
A/N: guys i'm not dead everything is fine... i just have so much work to do </3.... i swear this will b finished!!! (eventually)

You are a friend of Arisu, Karuba and Chota
Tumblr media
English is not my native language, so there may be some mistakes. I apologize for that. This is not a full-fledged work, but rather a reflection on "what if they had another friend
[WARNING: blood, character death]
You became friends with Arisu, Karube, and Chota back in elementary school. One day, you witnessed two brave boys named Karube and Arisu standing up for a third boy, Chota, who was being bullied. This deeply impressed your younger self, and you made an effort to befriend them. Luckily, it worked out well as the boys were open to having a new friend. Your friendship lasted even after school, showing the strong emotional bond between you all.
You shared the most interests with Arisu and, since neither of you had jobs, you spent more time together. Sometimes, you and Arisu would tease Karube and Chota by sending selfies from a café where you were playing video games while they were working. In response, they teased you right back.
*You sent a selfie where, in the background, Arisu is playing a computer game.
You: How's your Monday going? We're busy with serious matters… like relaxing for both of you!
Chota: It's so sweet that you have so much free time to do this for us.
Karube: Chota, I have a theory about them.
You: ?
Chota: What is it?
Karube: They spend so much time together not just because they're unemployed but because they're secretly dating!
Chota: EXACTLY!
Karube: Your virginity, Chota, didn’t manage to infect them.
Chota: Hey!
You: Arisu, how do you block users in this app?
Arisu: I was going to ask you the same thing.
Chota is a very religious person thanks to his mother, so from time to time, when you're bored, you accompany him to one of the churches. After the church service ends, you usually go to a small shop to buy interesting new manga and read them together, discussing each character's actions.
Chota points to the distorted face of one of the characters.
—Look, that's you when something goes wrong, the young man says playfully.
—And that's you after your boss gets upset again.
Chota looks at the funny, exhausted face of the character and playfully hugs himself.
—If only you knew how scary he is during those times. I'm tired of him.He looks at you, and you sympathetically pat him on the shoulder.
One day, Karube approached you with an unusual level of concern, surprising you since you'd never seen him like that before. He came to you because he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Emi. You knew he was dating his boss's girlfriend and had considered talking to him about it because, in that case, Karube was technically the "other man." However, you noticed how his eyes lit up when he talked about the girl he was deeply in love with. So, holding your tongue, you decided it was his business and trusted that he and Emi would figure it out themselves. He explained exactly what he needed from you: since you're a girl, you would know how to impress another girl, and because he noticed that your fingers are similar to Emi's, he needed you to tell him the size of your ring finger. After finishing your discussion, you sincerely hoped everything would go well for Karube.
A few days later, you were sitting in the kitchen, enjoying delicious dashi. You were browsing various job postings because you had decided to start earning money independently. Your phone started vibrating in your hands with a flood of new messages in your group chat of four. From this, you learned that Karube had been fired, Chota wanted to skip work today, and Arisu had argued with his father and left home. Everyone wanted to meet up. They were waiting for your reply, so you quickly typed a message saying you’d join them soon.
Half an hour later, all four of you stood together in the shade. You were quietly giggling at jokes about a zombie apocalypse and, overall, enjoying the warm atmosphere with your friends. Suddenly, Karube lifted Arisu onto his shoulders and began running carefully down the crowded street with him. Chota started recording a video on his phone, and you stayed close to your friends, ready to catch Arisu in case he fell. You didn't doubt Karube's strength, but extra caution wouldn't hurt. The laughter of everyone involved faded when you realized you were on a busy road. Cars were honking at you, and you tried to reach the other side of the street as quickly as possible, avoiding oncoming traffic.
You heard Chota say, "Look, there are fireworks over there!" But you didn’t turn your head, still focused on your goal. Once on the other side, you all agreed to duck into some restrooms to avoid the police. The three guys went into the men’s restroom, and you headed into the women’s.
The guys only wrote in the group chat that everything was fine, but you were distracted when the lights went out. You put your phone in your pocket and decided to step outside. There was no one around except you. You began calling loudly, "Karube! Chota! Arisu!" but no one answered, so you started searching the most likely places. However, Tokyo seemed frozen in time. Late at night, you returned to the road where you’d last been messing around with your friends. A bright light from a billboard caught your attention, mentioning some kind of game. Though cautious, you followed the directions to the indicated location.
Hope still filled your heart that you’d find your friends there. When you entered the building, you saw your friends and ran quickly toward them. They called your name and hugged you tightly.
—We were looking for you, but it was like you disappeared into thin air like everyone else.
Chota said quietly, disbelief in his eyes.
—Where were you?.
Karube’s voice was calm, but there was a hint of worry.
—Did you see anyone else? Do you know what happened?
Arisu was still holding your shoulders as if checking if you were real.
You didn’t get a chance to explain because another girl in a business suit entered. She explained that you wouldn’t be able to leave until you played the game. After her, a schoolgirl arrived, so all of you completed registration, and the "Life or Death" game began.
After the schoolgirl's death, you stayed close to Chota, patting each other’s backs for comfort. In the next round, you pulled Karube away from Arisu, squeezing the blonde man’s hand tightly to keep him from hitting your mutual friend again. Thanks to Arisu’s intellect, you managed to escape the game, but Chota suffered a severe burn.
By mutual agreement, Shibuki and Chota stayed in the shelter while you, Karube, and Arisu went to the next game to search for answers. During a minor argument between you and your friends, you went with Arisu because the boys didn’t want you to attack the man in the horse mask. However, even in the safe zone, there was trouble—if not for the short-haired girl as well as the man with white hair and his taser, you would have died.
You and Arisu were supporting Karube from both sides. The guy had a shallow wound on his side, but he refused to admit he needed help, even though it was obvious. When you returned to the shelter, you helped bandage his wound and stayed close to assist him if needed. The next morning, while everyone was still asleep, you decided to prepare food with the available supplies. Fortunately, there was a gas stove, so cooking wasn't a problem.
The guys immediately started eating breakfast, while Shibuki stood aside, unsure if she was allowed to join. Your gesture inviting her to sit down reassured her, and she joined you without hesitation.
You were worried about Chota: his visa was expiring today, and with an injured leg, he still had to participate in the game. During breakfast, Karube mentioned hearing about the "Beach."
—Let's look for a way there after today's game. Chota and I are out of time, so we can't delay this.
—All right, we'll all go to the game together today, you decided.
In the evening, billboards lit up again, announcing a new game. This time, the venue was Tokyo's botanical garden. Arisu was supporting Karube as they approached a door with a sign reading, "Only four players can participate in the game." This sparked a new debate: Chota and Shibuki had to play since their visas were expiring. Arisu wanted to opt out since his visa was still valid, but you and Karube insisted he participate. In past games, he was the one who guessed everything, so he's useful.
—Let me play. You have a wound that might cause you difficulties.
—Chota also has a wound.
—But his visa expires today, and you have it for a few more days.
—Everything will be fine, Arisu is with me, and you can sit here and wait for us.
—Karub!
However, he quickly went behind the door, which was locked. You have nothing left but to sit quietly and wait.
However, he quickly went behind the door, which was locked. You had no choice but to sit quietly and wait. From time to time, you looked excitedly at the construction of the Shinjuku Botanical Garden, you heard some screams of your friends, but you could not understand what they were saying. Anxiety was taking over you more and more. You wanted to see what was going on inside, but due to the dense vegetation you were unable to do so. You hugged yourself in your arms because of the cold of the summer night, you walked here and there outside, waiting for your friends and Shibuki to come out. With every minute, you were shaking more and more, either from the cold or from a bad premonition. Suddenly, everyone heard several explosions, they were similar to the ones you heard in the safe zone. Then there was a loud desperate scream. You took a stick, opened the door and threw it into the botanical garden. The laser did not penetrate its. You ran toward the screams, shouting the names of your friends:
- Chota! Arisu! Karube! Shibuki! Where are you?!
Your eyes began to gather cool moisture from the possible options, what could have happened. The sound was heard again, but this time it was not a scream, it was someone's loud sobs. You stopped, you didn't even have to breathe to determine the exact source of the sound. The sound came from the right side, so you rushed there without thinking. You saw that this cry belonged to Arisu. He was sitting on his knees, he had headphones and transparent glasses on his head, and there was fresh blood on his face and clothes.
—Arisu!
You quickly approached, sitting next to him, you carefully placed your hands on your friend's shoulders. With your eyes, you looked him over from head to toe with concern.
—Arisu, can you hear me? Where does it hurt? Are you injured? Where are the others?
Arisu was gasping for air, looking at one point, you took your hands off your friend's shoulders and turned completely in that direction. For a moment you forgot how to breathe, very close to both of you Karube lay motionless, and under him was a pool of blood. Your face was pale than any porcelain in the world. You still couldn’t breathe normally, hot tears were flowing down your cheeks, and your eyes were filled with pain and horror. You sobbed, which allowed Aris to finally notice you in this botanical garden. He hugged you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder and started crying harder, he whispered an apology, but you couldn’t hear him anymore. Arisu hugged you tighter. Feeling you in his arms, he remembered what Karube and Chota had told him a few minutes ago.
—Arisu, live for our sake and for y/n. You were all my best friends, I'm grateful to you.
Chota finally took his hand away from Shibuki's mouth, and she hugged him. They both cried because they knew these were their last moments.
—Arisu, when you get out of here, take care of yourself and y/n.
Karube smoked a little more.
—Turn your head, I'm here. Arisu, thank you.

Tumblr media
⸺ A CALMING SCHOOL BELL echoed loudly around the building, multiple students taking the things from their desks and rushing out of the doors desperate to go home. chishiya stood flat against one of the walls, ignoring the people taking cautious steps near him. the feared delinquent of the school is the reputation he’s made for himself here.
starting fights with random students that would ever accidentally brush against him in the hallways resulting in said students having their faces be beaten and disfigured to the point of no return. forcing people against their will to participate in fight clubs and make bets on their failures, making some of his friends do his dirty work whenever he wasn’t in the mood to handle something, never batting an eye whenever girls got harassed by his friends. the man showed no remorse for his actions, his face always set into a poker expression as a tiny kitten smile grazed his lips. he only hung around a few people, the rest of his “gang” and a girl named hikari kuina, one of the gyarus at this school.
chishiya kept his head low as his bangs covered the top of his eyes, searching for a specific pair of shoes that would walk past him. his eyes shined as he found them, straightening his posture as he trailed behind the person he was waiting for, (name). this man was special to him, he felt a sense of priority in protecting him. (name) was a nerd, always getting good grades and getting scored at the top of his classes, he was the perfect punching bag for someone like chishiya. but thats not what he wanted from him, no. (name) was the only person that didn’t fear him at every waking moment, he didn’t care if chishiya or his friends were some big bad entity, he treated them like they were just regular students at this school because… they were!
and thats what chishiya favored about him. the boy served zero interest in getting involved with him, he didn’t care if he walked through the hallways of his unassigned part of the school, the part where all the delinquents would hangout. the part which was also coincidentally where a shortcut was made to cut through the rest of the school and get to classes faster.
chishiya sat with his legs crossed ontop of a heater box, he picked at his nails as his ears gathered up the sounds of two boys getting beaten by some of the people in his group. pleads were heard as he raised his hand to scratch at his scalp, dark hair getting twisted up as he thread his hands through it. the lunch bell rang, he saw students from across getting out of their classes and walking towards the cafeteria, all of them avoiding his hallway. him seeing some people hurriedly grab their friends as they made sudden mistakes of taking a few steps at the end of it.
this was a regular occurrence, him observing people as they sent him fearful stares and instinctively quivering in their shoes this worsening especially when he planted himself in different areas of the school. developing fears of any of the places that he’d be able to hide in. corners, closets, corridors, classrooms, the garden or swimming pool that were placed behind the school, anything. sudden gasps and whispers of different students filled his eardrums as he turned his neck to glance at what was happening, a figure was coming his way.
a boy with glasses and a resting bitch face trudged through like a model, his unbothered body language shined through him like a flashlight. chishiya examined him throughly, he was about the same height as him, white shirt unbuttoned slightly and exposing the tank top underneath it, his uniform blazer was held in his arms like a coat hanger as he adjusted the bag with multiple keychains on his shoulder. a lavender aroma hit his nostrils like a grenade, the scent calming down any type of tension that was set in his body.
chishiya watched as he stepped over the bodies of the boys on the floor, them and their bullies stared at him in confusion as he continued to walk away, not sparing any glances at anyone that hung around the rest of the corridor. chishiya quirked his eyebrow as one of his friends looked at him, looking for any signals in his face to go after the guy. he shook his head as he got down from where he was sitting sticking his hands in the pockets of his pants as his eyes glued onto figure before glancing away as he rounded a corner, leaving his imprint on everyone’s gaze.
ever since that encounter chishiya became more excited on the inside as he waited for the man’s presence to pass by him in the halls. he found out his name was (name) when he “decided” to attend one of the schools assemblies. of course, like always, (name) was there too as he walked up to the stage with someone that was apart of the staff announcing an award for him. chishiya observed him throughout everything, walking into school, going to class, eating lunch, passing through the building, looking at him through the windows of his classroom while he was sat near the wall and squatting down whenever (name) felt his cat-like eyes on him, even following him home to ensure his safety and just his safety (definitely not because he wants to know where the person he loves lives and watch over him incase something happened to him.)
“how long are you gonna keep following me for?”
chishiya stepped out of his dazed mind, blinking slowly as he saw (name) with his body turnt towards him hands on his bag and glasses rested ontop of his head, “follow?” chishiya repeated, pushing his lips out as he thought of a lie to say, “i’m just trying to go home like everyone else,” (name) raised one of his brows, did he think he was that stupid? acting like he didn’t know about the shadow that chishiya always left on the places he visited. the figure he always noticed standing outside of his window at night that had the same similarities of his silhouette. the way chishiya prevented his friends from causing harm to him, threatening them if they ever had thoughts of trying to do what they regularly did to other nerds in the school.
all the jealous stares that chishiya sent his way whenever (name) held the quivering hands of his friends as he guided them through the passageway, wishing that was him in their place and not them. he didn’t wanna admit it but chishiya’s actions made his heart flutter a bit, (name) wasn’t liked throughout the school, especially with how “perfect” his image was. people attempting to use his intelligence in ways to benefit themselves, sending scowls his direction and spouting insults at him accusing him of sleeping with his homeroom teachers and the principal to get where he was now.
his careless attitude kept all of this from straining his heart, continuing to do what he did best and enjoying all the praise adults sent his way. (name)’s always been advised in avoiding the delinquents or anyone that could tarnish his reputation and strain him from his academics, but how could he do that when chishiya was just so cute?
him and his sharp cat features, the dyed black and dirty white hair that suited his skin tone so well, his dark tattoo that covered the side of his neck and the tough exterior that prevented him from showing others what he was really feeling at times. (name) knew there was more to chishiya then how he made himself to be, a kinder and sweeter boy that cared more about the lives of others and his own ideals.
(name) hummed as he kicked a fake rock away from his shoes, “that’s what you said yesterday,” he said stepping closer to chishiya as he spoke, “and the day before that and then the day before that one and the week before that,” (name) brought his hands up to hold the sides of chishiya’s face as he saw his lip corners curving upwards, “how long are we gonna have to keep this up for?”
the air shifted as the two sought comfort in each other’s eyes, chishiya leaning one of the sides of his face into (name)’s gentle warm palm, “until we get out of here,” he sorely replied watching as (name) exhaled through his nose and shifted his gaze to the floor beneath them, “it’s our last year here, only a few more months and we’re gone,” chishiya said bringing up his hand to cup one of (name)’s as he nodded.
(name) leaned forward to press a small kiss onto the man’s pink lips, redirecting his right hand to play with the dangling earring on chishiya’s earlobe as his saddened expression made itself more visible the moment he spoke up, “just, don’t keep me locked in your heart until then…” he mumbled tearing away from his lover trying to ignore the way chishiya frowned as his body spun away from him, only leaving chishiya to stand in the darkened light of the place as his face tried desperately to cling onto the feeling of where (name) had left his touch.
