Santiago I think is most susceptible of all the boys to getting lured in by a sexy perfume. And he loves Black Opium by YSL. and Good Girl by Carolina Herrera.

Steven likes Vanillary by Lush and Egyptian Musk by Kuumba Made

I don't really see Marc being into scents. He might appreciate something light and natural like Aesop's Tacit, but its not turning his head.

Jake. Good Girl Gone Bad by Kilian. All the Kilian perfumes honestly. Angel's Share, Love Don't Be Shy, etc. Like catnip to him.

Nathan probably doesn't like anything that smells too strongly. I think he appreciates a close to the skin scent like Ghost In The Shell by ELDO, 11 11 by Lake and Skye, Not A Perfume by Juliet Has A Gun, or North Bondi by Ouai and only small small doses on the wrist.

Poe is a sucker for the caramel pistachio-y Bum Bum cream scent, Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 by Sol De Janerio.

Blue is a freak. the 1970's formulation of Shalimar by Guerlain or Chanel no 5.

Leto has a great appreciation for MFK scents, he can sniff out Baccarat Rouge 540 and will inhale your neck like the bouquet of a fine wine. He's also partial to MFK's Amyris Femme.

Jonathan- he likes sentimental, uncomplicated scents. Clinique Happy or CK One.

hi copper!!! this is a fantastic question!

so obviously typical irl rats have far shorter lifespans than the average irl tortoise. according to google (yes, be awed by my spectacularly in-depth wealth of research) the average pet rat lives between 2-4 years ish, and the oldest on record lived to be about 7. meanwhile, an African spurred tortoise (Splinter's species) averages more around a 50ish year lifespan in captivity, tho is suspected to possibly exceed 75 or more in the wild.

Now, the mutation does give us a lot of wiggle room for playing with these numbers. For the rat sons boys, id say their natural lifespan probably clocks in at about 45-55 years old? definitely not old by human standards, but not young young either. (though, its also important to note that the boys were exposed to the mutagen just days after being born.)

For Splinter, meanwhile, aging is slightly more complicated. He lived the vast majority of his life as a regular normal African spurred tortoise (well, non-mutated at least. there were perhaps some shenanigans of a more mystical variety going on before he was mutated, but thats a separate matter) He was about 70ish i think? when the boys were born and they were all exposed to the mutagen. so he is already distinctly an old man turtle papa. id guess he'd probably still have another eh lets say 25-30 years after his mutation. he could probably push it a little farther even with some mystic nonsense, but when push comes to shove id say his 'natural' post-mutation lifespan would put his death like a solid decade or two before his sons.

of course, the tricky part of the matter is that theres no way for Splinter to know any of this. theres no way for him to know how the mutation affected them all, or if it even affected them all in the same way. especially since the boys dont show many physical signs of mutation for the first few years, and just kinda look like normal rats, (albeit with a more human sort of intelligence) — what sort of health standard do you hold them to? what if they simply dont show external signs of sickness or old age anymore? how do you actually know if something is wrong?

for a while there Splinter is very worried that one of his babies will just essentially reach the end of their normal rat lifespan, fall and not get up again.

so mostly, he just tries to live in the moment, enjoying whatever time he does have with his little ones, taking each day as a gift <3

lord its so dark in here the sahara desert of tsaritsa content you are like a shining oasis. your characterisation of her compels me & mihoyo would be hard pressed to top it imo.!! caaaaan i humbly request yr thoughts on her first meeting w a reader of any kind, or maybe even multiple kinds (sagau, sagau god au, isekai, etc) if you so desire...

gonna talk cult au for a bit here though because that's 99% of my content. and honestly? she thrives in sub au's of the cult au like villain au + imposter au. it's basically made for her. i mean, early days, the imposter au had been going around for a little while but one of the first few ideas was the Fatui taking reader in so like. it kinda technically actually was. pretty sure cult au Tsaritsa popped up because of the imposter au. a lot of it's writers kinda left though which. man am i getting old or.

anyway.

there isn't much of a chance her first impression is all that positive. at best it's usually neutral, imo, but rarely if ever positive. specifically because i view the Tsaritsa as someone who isn't as fanatical as most of the acolytes typically are towards the creator. she's not exactly going to worship the ground you walk on unlike a certain geo lizard. which is partially why i think she thrives in the sub au's i mentioned.

imposter au, for example. she meets you at your lowest. there's no gaudy extravagance or pampering from the acolytes waiting for you because your own acolytes have turned on you. for all intents and purposes you aren't a "god" at all. which is why i don't think she meshes well with normal cult au reader. the Fatui are made up of outcasts, basically, and imposter au slots right in just perfectly. you're weak, at your lowest, when you meet the Fatui in the imposter au. and the Fatui can help you, too.

a mutual exchange, really. the Tsaritsa sees a tool she can use to one up the rest of the nations and especially Archons, and she has no qualms about you using her and the Fatui in turn. you both want something out of it, after all. whether you just want to be safe from the rest of the acolytes, or you want revenge, or whatever else..she'll give you the power to fulfill it, and she gains the strongest piece on the chessboard when all is said and done.

the best way i can describe the first meeting is "practical", i suppose. she sees an opportunity in you. the ultimate gamble. because if she "saves" you, and you dont trust anyone else because they tried to kill you, well..she holds all the cards, doesn't she?

but the Tsaritsa, imo, is just as capable of being just as fanatical towards you as anyone else. she just won't worship you as the creator. but as yourself? clawing your way back to your divine power and taking back what belongs to you? the Tsaritsa is, to me, a character who's character flourishes in long-term fics more because she changes a LOT between "just met reader" and after having been with reader for some time. she's practically apathetic at the beginning but a lot of her character, in my characterization, shines through LONG after the first meeting.

GT/AA crossover thoughties (spoilers):

-Pheonix wouldn't die. Maya 100% would. Probably while getting arrested. You'd save her and clear her name somehow in the 4 mins prior

-After that point she knows who you are so at sometimes you'd be pulled from wherever you are by channeling because she wants you to help her out (She can't reach the high shelf and needs you to rock a bowl or something to drop it)

-Apollo probably has reactions to your presence in his bracelet.

-Athena and Lynne get confused for each other constantly. May even become an important part of the plot. (Some witness saying something about the 'redhead with the yellow jacket')

-Ghost tricking in the courtroom to give the defense a few moments of respite to come up with some contradiction in a testimony. Also possibly to stop a witness from doing something bad.

-Actually maybe Yomiel is the one who gets charged with murder. When he first sees Athena somehow having Sissel he silently cries. (Also some joke about him saying 'Sissel' but the context makes it unclear whether it's the cat or the fiancee)

first things first. i am absolutely obsessed with the idea of using ghost tricks in court. you are a damn genius

HI!!! AUGGHHHJHH THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH T__T my art style is kinda simple imo so my process is pretty bare-bones ^^;; there's not rly much too it!! it also kinda changes depending on how uhhhh lazy im feeling in the moment HAHA

probably around half of my drawings are straight to line art bc they're rly just doodles or things i decide to draw without any planning (but also im kinda impatient so i try to skip the sketching step if i can LOL...). but if i DO have a specific pose in mind for a drawing, i'll start with a sort of mannequin sketch or loose pass, then depending on how messy it is, ill either do the lineart pass on the layer on top or duplicate the sketch and then clean it up.

and then my coloring process is not sophisticated at all i just create a new layer and then paint bucket tool away LMAOOOO

Perhaps you've answered this so far, but how easy is it to transfer a game from the COG system to twine? I'm working on my WIP in the COG system right now (it is the coding system I'm familiar with, and I honestly find COG's simple UI much easier to read than the more intricate twine ones), but do not want to release it on that platform. I intend to put it on twine at some point. But the more I write, the more I get worried that I'm just creating more work for myself.

Personally, I think it depends on how much design work you want to do! Transferring all your variables and text from CS to Twine is kid stuff. I found that actually making the game look good was the hard part, because I had to blitz-learn CSS (and am still learning. I have a whole clone of Greenwarden in my Twine files that's just for testing cleaner code) to make it look nice, which is entirely optional. There are also plenty of Twine templates you can use!

Twine has several different versions built in that are good for different things. I use Sugarcube2, which comes with its own customizable UI, and so does @northern-passage. @heart-forge uses Harlowe. There's also Ren'Py, but that's a completely different beast and is mostly for visual novels. There's also Inform, which is a modern version of the coding language classic IF games like Zork and Planetfall were written in!

For that cleaner, classic CoG Ui, I might recommend Twine's Chapbook language! I haven't personally used it, but you might find it familiar and easy to read.

TL;DR: Not that hard, especially if you've already got a strong base to work with.

They do!

After some further interactions from their first meeting, both Vahid and Grigory found a lot in common with one another and became fast friends, to then boyfriends.

Vahid is a Iranian artist who grew up knowing war and corruption in Iran, and Grigory is a Russian mortician who lived through WWII and and the USSR, both of them connected heavily with their backgrounds and also their more morbid interests in the macabre. Their relationship is overall very sweet and the two support eachother with their traumas, and Vahid has come to be a another 'uncle' figure to the Habit family! As for which of them confessed first, wellll...

Remus smirks, lifting his hand to cup the edge of Sirius’ jaw, his thumb stroking along the tender, bruised skin of his throat and causing a dull ache to emanate from the touch. “Don’t lie to me,” he murmurs, his eyes razing over Sirius’ mouth. “You knew exactly what would happen when you let me kiss you yesterday.”

Sirius’ heart has begun slamming against his ribcage like a trapped and agitated bird. He feels his body go still as Remus’ fingers flutter over his neck, dancing across the watercolour swirls of yellow and indigo all around his windpipe. 

“You were just using me to make James jealous, weren’t you?” Remus questions, his lashes heavy and lowered over dark, dilated pupils. He laughs lightly. “And it worked, maybe even better than you expected.”

Somewhere in the haze of Sirius’ mind, James’ hurt and furious face floats through his awareness like a daydream. He doesn’t move, doesn’t let himself flinch, as Remus’ fingers continue probing his bruises, making them throb enough for a soft groan to issue from his mouth. “You got exactly what you wanted last night, Padfoot,” Remus tells him, one arm winding around Sirius’ back to tug him in, until their chests are pressed together and their noses are on the verge of colliding. “James rearing up in your defence like that, shouting about how much he loves you – it must’ve felt good.”

Sirius’ gaze trails the movement of Remus’ tongue swerving slowly over his lower lip. He can’t speak, too distracted by the other man’s proximity – the mere inches between Remus’ mouth and his own, memories of yesterday afternoon overtaking all his senses like smoke.

“You can pretend all you want,” Remus breathes, each word a hot rush of air against Sirius’ cheeks, “but I know you secretly get off on it – having us fight over you, like some sort of crown jewel. And why wouldn’t you, given how worthless you’re used to feeling all the time?”

Remus’ fingers migrate to the back of his neck, snaking between long strands of black hair, his nails scraping against Sirius’ scalp. 

“Remus –” 

“It’s sad, really, ” he interrupts, fixing Sirius with a piercing look, “the kind of things you resort to, just to make yourself feel wanted. Like letting me fuck you hard enough to drive James out of your sorry head.”

Sirius looks away and doesn’t respond, unwilling to give Remus the satisfaction of learning he’s right. 

“Did you tell James how you liked it?” Remus asks, giving him an impish smile that displays all his teeth in gleaming rows. “How you moaned when I choked you, how you gagged for more?”

Sirius shuts his eyes for a brief flickering moment, opens them to study his friend in silence. He understands what Remus wants, knows exactly why he’d come over in the first place – it’s obvious in Remus’ glinting, hungry expression, the way he’s gradually closing the narrow space between them, so that Sirius can see every fleck of colour in his heavy-lidded, slightly bloodshot eyes, every capillary running under his flushed skin... 

This time when Remus kisses him, Sirius is ready.

Hello my dear! The answer to this is always of course, though I've been pinwheeling through different pairings and fandoms (though what else is new) because I haven't had a hyperfixation since Good Omens :(

Mystrade (Mycroft Holmes x Greg Lestrade from BBC Sherlock)

I've been reading for these two since October now so there's definitely a few for them.

Paperback Writer by meansgirl

Rated E and totaling 82 265 words, this was an awesome fic where it's technically still canonverse only Greg is secretly an erotica author who just so happens to be Mycroft's favourite. So then of course Mycroft finds out.

Human Remains by Saziikins

This series lives in my head rent free and is so wonderful. It's canon compliant and a very slow burn of Mycroft and Greg getting together and then making a relationship work. Rated E, it's got 3 works in it and totals around 900k words, but the second work is a retelling of the first from Mycroft's POV instead of Greg's.

Pater Noster by manic_intent

Another rent free series, this one is Mystrade but set in the Good Omens universe where Mycroft is a high ranking demon and Greg a lower tier angel. So of course after being brought together a very human Sherlock, they fall in love. Eventually. I adored every bit of it, there's 3 works numbering at 26k words and it's so much fun.

Curse of the Green Hag by Moorishflower

A Xedgin fic for DND: Honour Among Thieves. It's a fuck or die curse fic with just enough plot for me to be invested. Edgin is great, Xenk is great, and the smut is great. Enough said. Rated E, 16k+ words.

The Veretian Flytrap by Just_Another_Day

A Dament fic for the Captive Prince fandom, this fic is a great twist on the canon story if Damen and Laurent were an Alpha/Omega pairing. Super in character and has all the greatness of the trilogy itself, I loved it. Rated E (obviously) and is 176k+ words.

PLEASEEEE tell me about the symbolism in your drawing Oh i am dying to know

HII why thank you for asking!! I'll try my best to answer concisely but Tl;dr I'm not normal about either cwilbur or flower symbolism :) it also must be noted that a lot of my decisions are entirely based on my personal cultural experience so I hope if anything you find it interesting.

For an overview, The peice is inspired by art nouveau, namely alphonse mucha and henri privat livemont, and is mostly based on this hamlet production poster by the former. The composition however is not based on said illustration, and is slightly inspired in part by stained glass and fences of the movement. The clothing cwilbur is wearing is from the edwardian period, if I've got my references correct it's earlier in the period, though not any year in particular. It differs drastically in the fact that the colors are very vibrant (I can't help putting cwil in shades of red, ho16 permanently changed my brain chemistry), and that the Cape part of the inverness cape is entirely too short. Otherwise I've attempted to keep the general silhouette accurate.

Now the plant symbolism:

First: Arabian jasmine (which fun fact are not actually the same as the 4 petal vine yasmine, has a different name, Full (فل), and they grow on shrubs) and the Damascus rose go together because of two reasons: 1) i didn't know other flowers to put there and 2) they're very closely tied in my brain. If you try to find their symbolism you'll find a lot of things about beauty and purity, as is common with any white flower or rose, but my reasoning differs. Without going into too much detail, I intended for them to symbolise community and belonging.

Daffodils (the ones depicted are the ones most common in my region, they may not resemble the expectations but they are indeed daffodils) mean death rebirth and hope, its a flower i generally associate with cwil. Same meaning goes for the white lilies. And poppies have a heavy association with war and generally symbolise remeberance and hope for peace, and thus, l'manberg association.

The next five are flowers that represnt certain characters strictly based on cwilbur's preception of them, but they can be applied to others as well, i just thought these were most important:

Freesia: especially when yellow, usually means thoughtfulness, trust and friendship. represents cranboo.

Orange/tiger lilly: pride, hatred, status, tenacity.  Cquackity

Lilly of the valley: cmon we all know this one, ctommy

Boat orchid: virtue and morality, a gesture of respect and friendship. Ctubbo

Gladiolus: diminutive of gladius(sword); strength of character, moral integrity and rememberance. ctechno

pomegranate tree and fruit: pomegranates have a very different connotation in Western media, from what I can glean, as opposed to what I'm used to them being perceived as (I won't derail this but I can elaborate if needed). In short, I've chosen to take advantage of this double meaning and so its here to represent life death and resurrection while the tree is for family and home.

On a side note, I was originally going to do night blooming jasmine (مسك الليل) but it wasn't working, the symbolism of it however still stand: its a flower many love and think smells amazing, but rarely do they actually want the burden of having it in their own yards because of how deathly strong it smells. I was intending on using it to symbolise the complicated nature of cwilbur's relationship with the important people in his life.

And finally, the olive tree: aside from its meanings of peace and friendship, olive trees also mean olive oil which is a product with many healing properties that is not too easy to make and requires a lot of work. i chose it to mean healing and the process thereof.

So yeah that's it, hope it's up to expectation and thanks for the interest means a lot to me <33
