A/N: i loved this request so much as soon as i started actually writing it out, like ngl at first i was like OMG HOW DO I WRITE THIS, but i figured it out. anyways i now how over 200+ followers and that has me Q U A K I N G so i wanna do something fun for all you people i manipulated into liking me LOL, i hope you enjoy anon! please let me know if you do :D (edited because song lyrics messed up on mobile)

if you had to be known as something in class 1-a, it would be for your ability to effortlessly perform karaoke ((even if you weren’t that good of a singer, you were entertaining)) and the classes bimonthly lip-sync challenge extravaganza champion

you had won five out of the eight competitions, not that you were keeping tracks or anything

you just loved the energy of a good lip-sync, it was basically acting for people like you and your peers who were not made to be movie stars

so it really did not surprise anyone when you joined the baku-squad to randomly approach your fellow classmates, and school mates and break out in a flashmob type performance, only with lip-syncing (minus bakugou because he refused to even participate in these actions)

so the second you began unironically lip-syncing at every time of the day, your boyfriend shouto was both ready, and not ready in the slightest

it started off small

when you and shouto had planned a date to go off-campus and plain and simply “get lost”

shouto knew immediately he had made a mistake when he asked you if there were any plans tonight so the two of you could go out, and you squealed pulling out your phone and picked a great song

you, however, needed to study, and despite shouto’s everyone’s disproval, you still were actively participating in baking when you and mina weren’t busy trying to contract salmonella by eating the different batters when momo and tsu weren’t looking

“y/l/n, you need to study…” shouto spoke as he watched you spill the contents of the flour bag into a measuring cup for momo

you shook your head defiantly, already knowing that your boyfriend was going to come down and tell you to leave and so you were ready, so you merely raised your phone,

“But girls, they wanna have fun. Oh girls just want to have, That’s all they really want. Some fun. When the working day is done. Oh, girls, they wanna have fun. Oh, girls just wanna have fun.” 

you playfully danced around the kitchen as your lips never stopped moving in synch to the lyrics, and you made your way over to shouto, a grin on your face

pressing a kiss to his cheek you giggle, “I’ll be up once we put everything in to bake, I promise!”

as soon as you had returned to shouto’s room to study, he was giving you a very judgmental look as you kissed him, a smirk on your face as you clicked play

“y/l/n, I swear if you play what I think you’re going to–”

“Oh no, not I, I will survive. Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I’ll stay alive. I’ve got all my life to live, And I’ve got all my love to give and I’ll survive. I will survive!!!!!!!”

you wiggled your eyebrows at shouto who accurately assumed what song you’d lip sync for him

shouto stared at you, a complete deadpan

as you laughed in supreme joy of getting the boy annoyed, the laughter turned into shrieks as shouto launched himself towards you, tickling your sides

“I WILL SURVIVE!!!” you cackle in between gasps of breath as he kisses you softly

weeks later, you held yourself in attempt to bring warmth to yourself in your cold room because even with two blankets and the heater on, you were cold

stupid winter

deciding to risk getting caught by night owls like kaminari and sero, you snuck into shouto’s room where he was writing a letter, most likely to his mother because he hadn’t had the time to go see her recently

“wow, the old man is still up!” you say in honest shock and complete playful mockery

“now I regret staying up so late, I have a crackhead in my room.” shouto responds back and your jaw drops

he was so good being witty, it was unfair

“shouto, I’m cold.”

“I don’t feel cold.”

“wanna dance with me?”

“I don’t really want my feet to be stepped on…”

you puffed your cheeks out in mild frustration as a knowing smirk sat on shouto’s face, he had gotten too good at detecting when you would serenade him with another lip-sync, but even if he had deflated your joy in annoying him, you still played the song

“yeah, im still playing with it, deal with it!”

you smile contently as shouto allows you to snuggle up close to him as the two of you sway slowly in his room and you realize quickly how less cold you feel

“hm, no. do you want me to?”

you smile and shake your head, “I’m perfect right now.”

it’s your guys’ graduation ceremony, and as an old tradition, your class was going to go out all together. it was mina’s choice and so she chose for the class to go dancing at some club for 18+-year-olds.

you stood ready in your favorite partying outfit knowing that tonight was going to be one of the final nights where you would not be obsessed with hero work and would be with your high school family like this

you were scrolling through your phone looking for a song that you wanted to lip-sync to shouto before you all left because it had been weeks since you had an epiphany and you hadn’t gathered the nerve to tell him it yet

“Hey, y/l/n-chan, can you go get todoroki? he’s the only one not down here yet.” mina asked and you nodded your hand

“you guys can go.” you insisted as you had found the perfect song, “we’ll catch up!”

the class nodded knowing that the two of you weren’t the type to hookup during the time and so they left taking most of the part excitement with them

gathering your nerve, you climbed up the stairs to shouto’s room, your phone grasped in your hand

you walked in on shouto wearing a pair of plain black slacks and a simple white T-shirt that was snuggly fitted, and you choked on your tongue at his appearance

shouto glanced over at you and smiled, “what song is it? I’m not really aware of any hurry-up-now-please songs.”

with a shaky finger, you pressed play on the song, tucking away the phone and walked towards shouto who turned and looked at you in near disbelief

Dude, if I could take you back to the first fic I ever wrote- I think it was Dramione? Or H2O, it was seriously just awful like wow oh my god. But the thing was- people were so nice. And dude, it was shit. I promise you, it really was. What i’m saying is- you are your own harshest critic, and that’s super cliche but it’s true. No one will judge your work the way you do. And the feeling when people are nice- oh god, it just- it’s worth the risk. No one is going to think youre stupid or you suck because you had the fucking moxie to create something in the first place. I know it’s hard to take that first leap- I was too young to truly comprehend how scary it was when I did it, but I know you can get there. Sometimes it’s nicest starting in a tiny little fandom because everyone is so supportive and you all know each other and you can build confidence that way- saying that, the starker fandom is by far the most supportive one i’ve ever been in (teen wolf a close second, but there can be some mean anons there who for some reason are obsessed with scott??? like i like him, but let’s chill out, sorry off topic) and there will be haters, but fuck them. I, personally, would read anything you wrote and i would never have anything negative to say. I might be like “dude could you put stuff into paragraphs cuz it’s hard to read a block of text on my phone” but that’s it- that’s the worst thing i would ever say. i’d be too busy being grateful that you’d written some glorious content.

It’s scary, my gorgeous darling, but you can get there. The more fic you read, the more confident you get, and soon you’ll get more confident in YOU. As long as YOU like your writing (which is one of the hardest things ever) it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. 

that being said, nothing wrong with shyness. It’s okay to keep it to yourself, sometimes it’s a private thing. Maybe tease us with a few snippets and when we all go insane and beg you for more, maybe then you’ll be encouraged ;)

i know this is like highkey unlikely and probably punched through with plot holes but for an extra angsty twist on Gansey being described as made of his friend's memories and all that debatable j a z z, it's possible that with Cabeswater's contribution, he is made fully whole as he's assumed to be in the books. but given his Gansey upon Richard upon Dick upon Known masks, it's safe to assume that his friend's assumptions and opinions on him would be varied and Never Quite RightTM (p1) >.

So does Gansey now have different instincts and feelings at war with each other? Like, maybe even the simplest of things like responding one way to a joke when he means to respond another way, because he wasn’t paying attention and Ronan’s memories of him are at war with his own, and there’s two sentences locked and loaded in his mouth but only Ronan’s gets fired? Big things, too, like maybe he’s honestly ready to unload his emotions for once in his tiny, eventful life, and someone’s (p2) >.

assumption that he would keep everything bottled up, or that he’s stronger than the rest of them, any basic kind of thought or understanding they had about his mental fortitude, is tying is tongue in knots and he’s getting so frustrated on the couch with Henry because he actually w a n t s to share in secrets and work through things he feels are slowing him down, but not even Henry can truly k n o w him now because he’s n o t him anymore, him is just a part of many he’s and it’s mortifying (p3)

Maybe, he thinks it’s just a frazzling side effect of death at first, and the lives he’s lived and the uncertainty he feels now that he’s back for Good? This time? With who he’s going to become and what he will take from the friends he admires??? But full days after his death, he’s still tripping over himself in four, five different directions, and oh no, everything makes as much sense as this can make, tell me again how you brought me back) (p4) >.

But given time and concentration, the urges and contradictions quieten if he manages them, and it’s just like having multiplied voices of fight and flight, which he tries to liken to his experiences with anxiety. Ever the optimist, Gansey attempts to further understand his friends using their innermost views of him, and it’s not all terrible. Despite it feeling for the first forever long like a constant, skin-crawling invasion of privacy, it helps sometimes to look in the mirror and hear (p5)

Henry’s own voice tell him he looks distractingly like a dreamboat, and Blue’s aggravation at his beloved shoes. In some ways it makes him feel less intrinsically lonely, and some things they did get right about him. Blue always understood his emotions on the phone, and Ronan was the only one who had truly s e e n On Fire Gansey and felt that energy radiating off him, like there’s definitely things that he feels as Right in his heart and smile-cries his way through the night over (p6) >.

Though it’s hard, and he feels absurdly guilty because this isn’t just their voices in him, it’s him owning their voices and consent is a really tricky thing, though they all Literally Could Not Care Okay Gansey You’re Alive That’s All That Matters End Of Story, he tells them all about his difficulties as best he can describe it, and they know to back off and give him time if he stops suddenly, reflecting on his words or an action with that furrow between his eyebrows (p7) >.

What’s more is they know to distract other people from his sudden faux-pas! No one is used to Gansey’s humour he shares at midnight with Ronan being something that may just slip out in social situations before Richard Campbell Gansey III can step in, but they play it off like masters, and he’s so g r a t e f u l ok im really emotional right now (p8) >.

and the gist is that sometimes Gansey needs to be reminded of who he is truly, and who he can grow into but he has really good friends and he’s trying and i love him and i just needed some angst on this good night, thank you for being a beautiful blog on which i can unload the gratuitous gansey centric and njfknaskjfn i hope you’re having a lovely day! ~ It’s inappropriate due to context, but I swear my IRL nickname is Bee (p9/9) >.

There’s a LOT here, and there is so much potential for post-trk exploration whoo boy. B/C yes!! I feel that it is very unlikely that Gansey is “back to normal” after his second death and subsequent Cabeswater-related revival. Gansey has so many different masks, different faces and version of himself, that each of his friends most definitely do not have the same Mental Idea of him.

Like, just imagine Gansey sitting with everyone at Nino’s, packed tightly into their usual booth now that Henry has joined and Blue is on her work break. Gansey’s squished in the middle of Blue and Henry, facing Adam and Ronan and the multiple greasy pizzas laid out in front of them, and Adam makes an offhand comment about, idk, some Cabeswater-y theories, so Gansey goes to rub his thumb along his bottom lip in deep thought, as per usual. 

However, an inch from his lip his hand pauses, and his eyebrows furrow in confusion. The talking dies down as the group eyes Gansey warily, although Gansey doesn’t react to their curious gazes just yet. He’s too busy deciding if he should retreat inwards to think and theorize or instead jump at the opportunity to talk with excitement, eyes wide and hands gesturing frantically about magic and ley lines. 

He knows he’s done both before; he knows those are both reasonable, Gansey-like reactions, but… he can’t pick. It’s like he’s lost the ability to react instinctively. I have a similar ask somewhere asking about Kaminari’s parents as well, so I guess I’ll answer both here?? As a general rule I don’t really like making headcanons over stuff I’m sure the manga will give me in the future, so I can’t say I’ve thought about this too much - there are a few things I work under the assumption of while drawing, like for example I’m taking for granted they both have at least functional families, considering Aizawa personally visited their homes to ask their guardians about allowing them back to school, and if anything had been weird he would have noticed

I like to think Kaminari got his quirk straight from one of his two parents with no mixing happening, and got the Kaminari surname from them as well, but that’s all I ever allowed myself to settle on as far as Kami’s family goes, everything else changes based on what I need for the current scenario I’m thinking about… I do often end back on him being an only child, though - in the same way depending on how angst or lighthearted I want it to be my ideas for Kirishima’s family change a lot, but generally I think I mostly fall back on the idea of him having a big family? In a scenario like that his parents are kind and love him a lot, but having many children and needing to split their attention on all of them might cause them to overlook him a little (it would explain his obsession with being flashy, for me) then again, who knows? I don’t know how canon you can consider the infos SMASH gives, but in one of the strips Kiri mentions working part-time, and the fact that he doesn’t seem to have problems with money kinda makes me believe he might be independent from his family like that (unless he’s a rich kid, also very entertaining as a possiblity)

I’ve seen a lot of headcanons floating around about both of these guys’ families and possibly being related to villains, that would be cool too, though I’m not sure how much I believe it

"Did god have a say in the creation of the world" is a phrase that doesnt seem that odd when first looking at it, but can really mess someone up.

Like, was he limited to making our world with the constants we currently have? Could god have just said, yea lets round the G to 7*10^-11 and everything would still work out?

This also goes into my personal gripe with lines. Draw a line on a piece of paper, yea? Look closer. It aint a line. Its a gradent. There is no point that it suddenly becomes black from white. There's always white in the black, and vice-versa. There's always gray area.

Science knows this fact. They know that there are always more decimals n stuff, but they just choose to ignore it. Pass it off because its too small to matter in the long run? And yet, decimals can still fuck up am equasion a lot. Using 10m/s compared to 9.8m/s compared to (G*M1*M2)/(d^2) doesnt seem like a lot, but it really is a lot. Highschool physics? Literally throw air resistance out the window for the entire class. The only mention is that its not to be taken into account.

Seconds are the same way. If someone asks you to do something at a particular second, its really hard. Even then, theyres still gray area. Even with the implimentation of frames and button presses in video games, theres still a kind of window where its gray. Where its in between two frames. That area still exists.

Im honestly no "big brained" individual, but honestly humans are literally like if you hit the "randomize all" option on like the mii creator, but with like infinite possibilities. And honestly, to me thats much more beautiful and poetic than being told im made to fit the mold of some perfect being and its standards.

This goes into my own personal "dice roll" think. Tbh, theres probably some big brain theologian or old dude with a beard thinking about this right now, but in a different context, but my idea is as follows.

You can roll a dice yea? Its got like 6 sides on it. Now you'd think that that means when you roll it, there are only 6 possibilities right? And roll it enough times itll land back the same as when you started? Well in my mind, it can technically land on the same number, but it cant land in the same position. Think about it. Just from the directions of the corners, you can tell its wont. But if you look closer, you can tell it will never be the exact same positioning. If you roll a dice, it may land on that number again, but itll never land in the same spot.

This can also be seen in identical twins. Even though they look the same, they still have differnces. Whether it be a nose .00004 mm to the left, or a scar over their eye, or a hatred of spinach, there will be a difference. Even 2,000,000 years down the road, when someone is born with the same name, and the same face, they wont be the same as you. They wont have the same inteactions, or likes n dislikes. Even if they did somehow do not only gene manipulation and simulations on someone to replicate you, they couldnt possibly have the exact cell mutations or gene replication errors that make the little things in you, you.

You are just as unrepeatable as the roll of a dice, or the exact moment a leaf breaks off and falls. Which brings me to my next point.

I have never witnessed a leaf leave its branch. I have literally sat and watched trees and leaves every fall since i realized how mind boggling it is, and i still have yet to see it.

Dont get me wrong, ive seen falling leaves, seeds, and pinecones. I know gravity works and why fall is so great. Bit i have never seen a leaf cross the threshold of letting go of its branch. I know it exists. I know that wind probably effects it, but leaves will fall even without wind. I cant help but wonder at what causes that windless leaf to fall. Is it a cornerstone cell that just finally gives out? Is it some other kind of thing? What could possibly result in a falling leaf?

What is the exact chemical process that results in decay? Suprisingly, thats a question i can anwser. That is simply the improper copying of dna and stuff.

And yet, we still dont know how our brains work. We can look at cells, we can look at atoms, but we cannot possibly understand why laughter is a thing. We dont know anything about sleep, and even less about anaesthetics. Yet we do them regularly, even rely on them.

Humans survive mostly from two things. Sweating, and speaking. And honestly, those are probably the most horrifying things imaginable for prey. Sweating means we have cazy endurance. We can and will hunt anything down until it physically cannot move, and then kill it. And screaming to eachother at the same time. To be hunted by humans is much more scary then literally anything else. That is why horror mostly stars human-esk creatures that hunt humans.

One of humanity's greatest assests is also one of my biggest gripes. That is our obsession with observation and ourselves. We observe the world, and from that are given measurments and tools. We then use that to help ourselves. But we also have to see things. A famous phrase is "seeing is believing". Perfect example of this. We have to touch things. Even if its just with our eyes. But we also for some reason dont want to process things that arent ourselves.

Think about the non-humans that humans create. All those elderic abominations amd the like. Even the green martian men. They all are humaniods in shape. Even demonic, and cursed things have limbs. They have a head, and they have a brain. Anythign that is supposed to be equal to us or greater to us in power is humaniod. God? Humanoid. Satan? Humaniod. Kuthulu? Generally depicted as humaniod. Honestly the only exception to this idea is the angels in the bibel, like the cherubim and seraphim. Which at least one of them is a munch of rings with eyes and also wings.

Anywho, where was i? Oh yea, lines.

Nobody's perfect. Even in a computer world. Pixels are made of lights, which blend together and create gradents which are imperfect. Imputs are rounded. Time is rounded into frames. Fundamentally we are out of sinc with the universe. We round the numbers to the place we care about, putting a blind eye to those things.

Yet dont they add up? I mean in some cases yea, they do. Clocks become slow or fast. Heck even the official weight of a gram has changed. The object that was used to measure a gram actually ended up decaying enough that it messed up the official weight.

Dont even get me started on pi and natural e. Apparently (and i dont know for sure on this) but engineers round those numbers to 3. Like that is just messed up. That will actually, and legitimately fuck up a building or anything else.

Humans are truly odd creatures. Did you know that the current understanding of why we want to closely touch and even harm/kill cute and adorable things and even have the epression "i could eat you up... etc." Is beause we cannot process that emotion and so to relieve ourselves we want to rid the world of its existence? Its freakin wild honestly. We cant process something so we kill it. Itsnt that something just so specifically human?

Humans have such a thirst for knowledge, and yet also a fear of it. Consider comparing people like stalin and hitler and even the church, who burned and banned knoledge, to librarians who kept that knowledge.

Consider the eletric universe theory. Something that goes contrary to the current model of physics, but also works better in some areas. According to that, the sun wasnt always our sun, and also we were originally orbiting a red sun. Something totally wild to think about, but also makes sense. Like why ancient peoples kept talking about a red sun, and venus as a comet. It also states the idea that we didnt always have seasons, and that has something to do with why plants bloom when under red lights. I honestly dont know as much as i would like about this part to explain it better, but oh well.

We have this need to put everything in order, to have perfection. We just want to be the best we can. Specifically better than everyone else. And even if that means killing, harming, or demeaning others. Only if we are on the top, we will be alright.

Our obsession with being the best has led us to ome conclusion. However, that conclusion is contradictory to the question asked. To become the best, we have to work with others. Because "if i cant be the best, then nobody can.". And boom, we got society n shit. We start working together to hunt amd gather, and generally be nice people. Because loosing someone means lossing another source of food.

But im getting off the point. This isnt supposed to be a history of humanity. Everyone already knows that story. Humans started planting things, created towns, created cities, fought eachother and died a lot. Eventually enslaved eachother and finally decided that was a bad thing, even thoug not everyone in the world agrees. Now there's god, and politics, and school, and problems.

But what caused all of this? What was the catylist? What was the starting factor? Can the reason people fight today be traced back to the first accidental killing of a brother like cain and able? Or is it somethig totally recent. Is the reason we have society because two ancient homo sapien families merged? Or was it something else? Why do we wear clothes? Theyrs little to no reason except in the winter. Especially if we started in africa or Australia. I have no anwsers for these questions.

But dont let the past decide who you are. Theres a reason we have memories. Its to improve yourself. We are constantly at a crossroads. Even if you dont realize it.

You can physically do anything. Humans are scary crazy. If you just put enough minds to it, literally anything is possible. Sending someone to space? Yep. Being able to kill all life on the planet? Yep. Be able to eat uncooked broccoli? Definitely. There are of course some holes in that last statement. Like you cant physically eat the planet in 30 seconds, or (at least right now) cant change the way you think about cheeze puffs. Doesnt mean that cant change in the future. But at the moment.

The future is scary too. Genetic engeneering, designer babies, and pollution is all on the horizon. The only thing stopping is it ouselves and maybe god.

If you could ask an animal what god it believes in, what would it say? Is such an easy question for theologians to brush aside. (Not that ive asked one) i can just imagine them quickly responding "animals cant think dumbass" or "animals dont have souls" or "animals arent made in the image and likeness of god". Those are nice anwsers and all, but they dont anwser the question. I asked what god does your pet dog believe in, not why doesnt my dog tell be about every time zeus boned some village girl and how that gives them the right to bone me too.
