(Small spoilers for episode 76, technically...not really but this takes place after that episode)

Alex placed the food on the table, looking at Ashlyn.

"...Ms. Banner.? Are you alright?" He asked, looking at the child worriedly. She said nothing, just hugging her knees as she sat on the bed. "....Has something upset you...?" He asked, taking a small step forward. He noticed her holding the note, and felt himself relax a little knowing that she had been able to read the note. Still, she remained on the bed.

"You know, I think you could have a real good time..." he quietly spoke, finally catching her attention, "...if you just took a moment to breathe." he finally finished, approaching her before sitting down on the bed across from her. Ashlyn looked at him before bringing her gaze back to the ground.

"...Hm.." She quietly hummed. He was glad she had at least considered the idea. He wanted her to calm down so that her mind could focus more; if she really could communicate with the others, then perhaps they could figure out a way to escape.

"So, let's do a simple calming exercise...why don't you put your hands in mine? And we could cool your mind down as you seethe?" He suggested, bringing his hands out so she could place her hands on his palms. It was a simple breathing exercise Alex had learned from his brother; hold someone's hands as you breathed slowly and thought about what made you angry. It was an easy way to cool off your mind.

"Just close your eyes and think about what makes you upset. What about this place is keeping your mind cluttered.?" He asked, trying to help start her off. He had always seen his brother close his eyes, so he closed his as well.

...

Meanwhile, as Ashlyn tried to do this strange exercise, she suddenly heard a phantom....and then...the smell of a corpse...She almost gagged....

"...Do you smell something rotting...?" She had muttered, her eyes widening. But Alex didn't hear her right; he thought she was worried about the cameras seeing this as suspicious.

"Don't worry, no one's watching." He tried to reassure her, still keeping his eyes closed.

"I swear there's something spotting..." she mumbled again, feeling her vision blur.

"..Ms. Banner, are you forestalling--" but before he could finish his sentence, his gaze was met upon a face he had seen before...the day he brought her to see the infected...

"Is there a fear to discuss it?" Ashlyn had spoke...but was it really Ashlyn...or was it an imposter.... Alex's heart stopped when he saw her expression. What was going on...where the cameras seeing this...there's no way they were on at this point...

...whatever was happening...he knew it wasn't Ashlyn he was speaking to anymore... "...Your face has admitted..." "That whoever you are, you should leave her be!!"

"That wherever you are! I will hunt you soon!!"

They had yelled at the same time.

...hunt...? Who...

*Cough cough* *Gag* Alex had let go of her hands to check up on her. Had the thing...

"*cough* W-what...*gag* w-what happened...?" She mumbled confusingly, holding her head. The freakish smile was gone...

"Ms. Banner?? Are you alright..??" He asked concerningly. Was she not aware of what had just happened.??

"..I...I blacked out...?" She asked, looking at her hands, "...did I black out...?" Alex stared at her in utter disbelief. How did that...

"....can you answer my question...?" "...what.?" "Please...answer my QUESTION!!" she suddenly yelled, her eyes color flickering black before returning back to green. Alex jumped back at the sudden volume, unsure of what she was talking about.

"...w-what...?" he stuttered, somewhat scared of what could happen next. Ashlyn breathed heavily, slowly calming herself down before slumping her shoulders.

"...sorry..." she mumbled, her gaze being caught by something next to her. "..uh--I read the letter...it doesn't sound like a bad idea..." she whispered, trying to make sure the camera didn't hear. However, Alex had an odd feeling about the cameras. He didn't feel...watched...

"....you don't have to whisper, I have a feeling the cameras may have malfunctioned again..."
