It's funny mostly, especially when you call the scariest character you can find your babygirl. Its a vocal equivalent of putting a pink frilly apron on them.

Like fyodor. Everyone online calls him babygirl so no one outside of the Fandom knows that he's a villain, just that he's babygirl.

im so mad that this is a side blog account and not a main account. i started this blog when i was still relatively new to tumblr and i think i was… like. fourteen years old or something. i never thought i would continue for this long, and i never knew so many people would like the content i put out here (i have over 9k followers which is literally mind-blowing, like wow….).

because this isnt a main account, i cant respond to replies left on my posts, i cant really reply to anyone unless i reblog !! i cant even follow people with this blog, it just comes up as my main blog (which is not pjo-related… rip my failed attempts at organising my fandoms to different blogs). so my avenues of interaction with a lot of you are seriously impeded.

so i just want to say i am so thankful for all of you, i read every single person’s tags who reblog my stuff, i read all of your replies and every time im crying screaming rolling around on the ground in agony over the fact i CANT REPLY!!

as you can see my thoughts on them are varied and i can write entire essays. a gas leak made my obsession with them hit an entire level i didnt know was possible. They're everything and nothing to me and i dislike most of fanon abt it and i hate this ship but also i have never cared this much about a ship in general for the doors it could open into messy straight relationship type bullshit with they give me the mic. i hate the villainisation of dirk i hate the villainisation of jake they both suck in the way that teens and most young adults will theyre both at fault i hate the "jake never felt anything towards dirk because hes aro" yes he fucking did aro people can still feel levels of attraction and its very fucking obvious how tied up in each other they are and there are like a million and one reasons i could name it if you gave me a day and 15 pages of text.

I think a big reason I've stopped making WR dragon art, or at least stopped posting it, is the general toxicity and entitlement a lot of yall have. I don't usually like to make posts like this and if I do I don't tag them but its something that kinda needs to be said, but its getting out of hand.

Theres this certain circle of people within the community who kind of police everything and unfortunately most of them are adult children. One look at my blog (and my essay) tells you that I do NOT like WK or RG. I have a deep dislike of them actually and I do everything in my power to avoid them.

Yet I'm not going out of my way to be a fuckhead about other people enjoying ships. THAT joke was not good, I will agree with them on that, and I totally understand being uncomfortable with the age and maturity gap shit. I am too.

But do you know what you do in that situation? You just fucking ignore it. Block the people whos ship you dont like. Filter tags, cut them out and remove it from your bubble. You don't go out of your way to be a dick. YES, I am fully aware of the whiteknight dudebros, and yes they suck and yes I get that they may harass your frirends or you, but literally DO NOT ENGAGE THEM. They are looking to get a reaction out of you.

They are looking to annoy and upset you, they actively enjoy it. literally just block them and move on. Not engaging them and giving them the reaction they want is hurting them way more then any snide comment you could make.

What you don't do is go after people just enjoying a ship. They are doing the exact same thing as you, making aus, writing fics, making art. It just happens to be that they are creating stuff of a ship you don't like.

I too have a gut reaction of yucky caca whenever WK or RG makes its way through my filters, wanna know what I do? Block that specific person and move on with my day. Its so fucking immature to make comments like some of yall have.

Im probably rambling. But the general immaturity, entitlement, and whiny baby nature of this community has seriously driven me away from creating things for it. Its a massive contributor as to why me and several of my friends didn't want to participate in whiterose week.

I will always love whiterose and I will always pledge my loyalty to it, but the community really needs to change.

this is absolutely random but I got caught up on your tag saying "I'm way too good at reading things that maybe aren't there" and listen. I don't know what you study (I remember you mentioning you take creative writing classes so??? sorry if you literally know this just trying to encourage you) but I study literature and in literary theory there's a lot of discussions about whether what the author wanted/meant/intended actually matters in interpretation and understanding literary works and well, a lot of theorists actually agree it doesn't so if you say it's there it's probably there, no matter if intentionally by the author, so ig please keep going off unapologetically we love to hear it

(also just in general, your analysis of the number three pretty much resonates a lot with Jacques Derrida's formal idea of deconstruction (basically tearing texts apart to the minute detail, and collecting and inter-connecting these details/words with associations of the reader to form a structure of meaning and it's all very abstract (a pain to learn during studies but cool to see in action!) so I just had to think about that)) yeah that's it have a great day

and yeah, i did a joint honours english and creative writing degree (graduating in three weeks :/) and there were literary theory modules each year that were compulsory for single honours english students BUT because i was also in creative writing, i couldn’t actually take them bc they ran at the same time as my cw classes soooo all this to say that even tho i did study literature i wasn’t really able to study that much literary theory - tho of course theory is relevant in all lit modules but i didn’t take a class specifically for that. (i wanted to, cause i love that shit, but i wasn’t allowed) ((annoyingly in first year there was a module that covered not only advanced lit theory but also academic writing that i wasn’t able to take so i never learned how to write university essays? like that’s not inconvenient at all))

that being said, i’m of course familiar with the concept of intention vs interpretation mainly through barthes’ death of the author theory (and it comes up a lot in cw classes because in workshops people share every thought they have about your work and ur not allowed to defend urself!! cause ur intention doesn’t matter if someone interprets what you wrote a certain way!!!) and the thing is i get it, i do - and i love to analyse whatever i can, i tear things to shreds with no mind for intent - but i also know people outside of literary studies love to say shit just isn’t that deep.

im always watching and rewatching shows with one or two of my sisters and one of them especially makes fun of me a lot for analysing everything from the dialogue to delivery to lighting and staging and camera work because she thinks i get way too into it. she either stares at me blankly or tells me to shut up (which happens a lot it’s very annoying let me talk ffs) so i guess i mainly added that in the tags to ensure everyone knows that i know that i analyse a lot so hopefully no one feels the need to tell me?? i don’t know, i just get slightly self conscious about analysing things when i know i could be saying something slightly unhinged lmao.

It fucking baffles me how there are antis in the Rick and Morty fandom. Why tf are you even here?? Have you even seen the show??? It's not exactly a wholesome fucking watch. Rick is the farthest thing from a good person, and Morty ain't exactly a sweet angel boy, either. Rick has quite literally destroyed civilizations (including his own), and both these mfs have killed a shit ton of people and aliens (some who did shit all to deserve it), but you're mad that people irl ship them?? Just shut the fuck up.

Nobody in this show is what's considered a good person. Nobody. They either have toxic traits, or are just straight up toxic af. But that's the fucking point. This show isn't meant to be Steven fucking Universe, ffs. It's an Adult Swim cartoon that's about an old alcoholic asshole of a scientist and his horny naive 14 year old grandson who go on or get sucked into dangerous adventures every episode. So if you're gonna be that pressed about people shipping them, or literally any other characters together, then maybe you should stop watching the show entirely, since everything that's said and done is SO far from being the "uwu I love my family and feel nothing but wholesome love for them" good morals that you fantasize every show and movie catering to.

Warning, opinion is absolutely not positive. Pretty much. And I added the anti gaalee / anti leegaa / anti gaara tags, so please don't come complain aa(not at you pal, but at people that may find this later)

- Why don't you ship it?

First of all, and to make it clear, a big reason i hate it is because I lost a close family member right when I first saw their Chunin fight. I was sensible these dates and then BOOM- comfort character almost killed. And someone lied to me and said Lee never became a ninja... imagine how i felt LMFAO

Now for in-canon reasons. Gaara basically almost kills Lee in the exam, and then when Lee was in the hospital, HE WENT TO HIS ROOM TO TRY AND MURDER HIM. AGAIN.

i see people defend "Oh bUt THey HaD tO fiGht" not in the hospital room. Gaara was perfectly aware that Lee wouldn't be able to fight back, and yet went to try and "finish him off". I absolutely despise this.

And let's be realistic you don't come out of that without trauma,, even if Kishimoto is terrible with writing it's common sense? im super annoyed that it was brushed off and super easily forgiven lol.

i dont give a shit abt "sexual tension" you do Not pair someone with the person that tried to murder them two times...

Also. Yes gaara had trauma. But ?? Having trauma doesn't give you a fucking free pass to do whatever the fuck you want, you know? So. STOP BRINGING THAT UP. You can think of doing something because of that, but actually doing it ,, sometimes its uncontrollable and i understand. but you have to actually apologize?? and i dont remember gaara directly apologizing at Lee, or at his siblings, for what he did before friendship-no-justu.

Well, huh. That's mostly it. Plus, things i like and dislike are based on my interactions in-fandom, and some shippers were absolutely awful with me- called me the r-word for not liking it, a dumbass that "broke the best pairing". And some spammed an instagram mutual's comment section to say that nl sucks, and other person sent me messages ¿? Over naruto ships. Yeah.

Mm. I think this covers it all? I don't really care if someone feels offended, this is how i think, and the more people defend it the more i dislike it ^^"

i know the discourse is done so you dont have to answer this if you dont want to, but i think the difference between people not reacting over your jj opinions and people reacting over your hotchreid opinions is when you criticized jj you didnt say people who liked her sucked somehow or that they needed "therapy" for liking a character but with hotchreid you didnt just say oh i dont like it for these reasons you added in "jokes" about the people who would disagree with you

im not even a hotchreid but i know some of my moots who are but don't like the creepy or inappropriate content have gotten anon hate for liking it at all or for not being as supportive of the others and that hate has said a lot of the same stuff you did (and worse)

im not saying that's your fault or that you have to like it or can never talk about it at all, but hopefully knowing means you can make a better informed decision on what to talk about or whatever because i really dont think youre a mean person and want to hurt people, but it's an issue that most people don't care about because they think those people deserve it or it's not a big deal

idk if you can tell but a lot of my opinions in this fandom are pretty unpopular. my experiences in other fandoms (like star wars) has made me extremely wary and uncomfortable around people who like shipping young characters with their mentors, so i may be more sensitive than i should be about the topic. but i dont think the actions of other people who agree with me who do target people and send hate justify sending me anon hate saying what ive done is equivalent.

this is going to be the last i say on the matter because i think i was pretty patient yesterday explaining my position—probably more patient than i should’ve been. i really dont want to hurt peoples feelings, so i tried to be genuine and honest about what i meant and why i said what i said the way i said it. and as important as i think it is to be cordial and open to discussion—its very easy to misconstrue intent on social media because it’s not as easy to ask “what did you mean by that?” when something rubs you the wrong way—i also don’t want to let people walk all over me and insist that actually im bullying them for posting an opinion on my blog that they disagree with. if you dont like what i say? unfollow! block, if you must! im not forcing you to see my posts and im not saying everyone has to agree with me

at the end of the day, i keep myself isolated in the fandom. i dont really interact with people because i tend to disagree with a lot of people on a lot of things! so guess what? i dont interact. and believe if or not, but thats actually a great way to avoid seeing the things i dislike! i come here to make my little posts and post my little pictures of scenes i like and write annoying little essays in the tags. this is something i do for me, for myself, so i dont have to spam my friends with all my bullshit. its been great that some people like it, but it wont bother me or offend me if you dont.
