Proship: Supporting shipping. Understanding that people can ship things and enjoy dynamics without endorsing them irl, including in fiction, and including when characters in the story do endorse them. Also, they don’t harass others over fiction. Proship is a word to describe someone’s ideology, not an actual ship. (You wouldn’t say ‘This ship is a proship,’ despite what some antis say. You can say ‘This person is proship,’ or ‘This person is a proshipper.’)

Profic: Short for profiction. Really just another word for proship. Some people use it to explicitly remind others that they’re in support of these things in fiction. (Which is the case for proship, too, but I believe this term came around when weirdos were claiming that actual proshippers were horrible and hypocritical to support something in fiction and not irl.) Antis sometimes claim that it’s supposed to be a secret word for proship so that antis don’t know that they’re actually proshippers. That is not true. (You can say ‘This person is profic,’ or ‘This person is profiction.’)

Comship: Short for complicated ship or complicated shipper. This word is used to refer to a lot of different shipping dynamics by a lot of different people. Some people use it to refer to noncon/age gap/incest. Some people use it as widely as to refer to immortal x mortal or bully x victim. A comshipper is someone who ships these ships. (You can say ‘This is a comship!’ or ‘This person is a comshipper.’)

Darkship: A dark ship. A ship that would cause harm to at least one of the people in it. This is usually used for ships that include incest, noncon, underage, or other forms of abuse. god I feel bad for that charlastor artist on Twitter. To have your work that you put a lot of love and effort on, only to be horribly stolen, traced and tagged with the very ship your antis keep harassing you with. Why are a lot of radioapple shippers like this?? They literally have hundreds of amazing artworks and fics across the internet but they go out of their way to be an utter asshole to people minding their own business.

This lead me to hating the ship. If I ever see a glimpse of Lucifer x Alastor, I'm scrolling and ignoring IMMEDIATELY. No hate to the other decent shippers of them, I just can't stand to see a crackship that has caused so much pain for so many of us Charlastor fans.

But, there's just the behavior of some shippers... it's been terrible. To the point where I cannot honestly see anything having to do with them without wanting to go on a rant. The main difference? I do that shit in a discord and DONT TAG THE SHIP IM HATING ON. But the behavior of most ra's makes me brace for impact just about everywhere. That ugly ass hoodie being released led to like a two hour vent session with friends. Their propensity to make everything about their ship? Makes me want to scream. The way they play the victim when they're the source of most of the bullying? I want to tear my hair out. And here's the thing; they eat their own the moment they fall out of line. Thankfully Bluesky has people who aren't garbage humans so any ship bullying gets shut down real fucking quick regardless of shipping preferences (the nice ra shippers are on there I will say that) but I saw it happen in real time. An artist known for drawing ra (and has since come out as a multishipper) was commissioned to draw charlastor, did a fabulous piece, and was harassed with two comments so vile they took the piece down. You know who was in the replies calling out the assholes? Ra's AND charlastors, and not a single one of them was fighting with the other.

So, I'll give credit where it's due. There ARE some nice people who have that ship and I respect them. It just depends on where you're finding them. But that toxic and vocal minority? Yeah, may they always step on legos in bare feet. And I will say this; hazbin antis are perhaps some of the most boring antis I've ever experienced in my life. They have normie who discovered fandom because of the pandemic and are appropriating weirdo culture written all over them.

Synopsis: Alex is boarding a plane to France on a school trip, when he suddenly gets a premonition that the plane will explode. Shortly after Alex, a group of students, and his teacher are thrown off the plane, and to their horror, the plane does explode. Alex must now work out Death's plan, as each of the survivors falls victim. Whilst trying to prevent the next death, Alex must also dodge the FBI, who believe that he caused the explosion

There are so many to choose from and this is probably the unpopular opinion but Im not a fan of Poltergeist or The Exorcist. I know they’re legendary movies and I’ve seen about enough of those two to know the references here and there, but those movies didn’t strike me as “I want to fall in love with them so much.” Nope. Instead, my favorite supernatural horrors are from this franchise.

But these movies is like it hits you in the most expected and unexpected of places. Part 1) A Plane. 2) The Highway. 3) A Roller Coaster Ride 4) A Nascar Race 5) Waiting in traffic on a bridge. I freely admit that I love the franchise and have sometimes wondered if premonitions are real or if its happened to me thus the reason we make the choices we make.

But I love the first one even more. Devon Sawa (Idle Hands) Ali Larter (Resident Evil: Afterlife) and Kerr Smith (My Bloody Valentine). It starts off with Devon Sawa (Alex Browning) a High School student on a school trip with his classmates to Paris, throughout the entire ten minutes he begins to see these signs of impending doom, including listening to John Denver while in the restroom. They all get in their seats on the plane and the plane takes off only to be destroyed in the air… Alex wakes up, freaked out, and decides to test out his seat, and freak everyone out on the plane as well. The bully of the bunch see’s this and wants to punch him thus ejecting both of them, the bully’s girlfriend, Stifler who just showed up and trying to sit down, Alex’s best friend who was told by his brother to check on him, and the english/french teacher. Ali Larter gets up on her own and leaves as well and as she said it “if someone says the plane is going to explode, you’re just going to get up and go.” They all go back to the entrance and wait there. The bully decides to fight Alex and at the same time the plane explodes. Everyone looks at Alex like he’s some big crazy guy and then shit just ends up happening from there.

Its a great movie. I’ve watched this many times and I even joked about watching it the night before I have to go on a plane trip. Which I do end up watching it just to calm my nerves I guess. But lots of things end up happening here that they save more destruction for the second movie. The entire franchise is connected with different people, cities, and ways to die. A barbwire exploding into your body. A rock hitting a lawnmower and then hitting a girl’s face in the head. Or even doing gymnastics… Im sure you’ve seen that gif going around. It all adds up to final thing and that is You Cant Escape Death! 

The story was originally going to be the concept for an episode of The X-Files (1993), which was inspired by Sole Survivor (1984). In this movie, a woman who was the sole survivor of a plane crash starts to be haunted by dead people that Death uses temporarily as vessels trying to kill her to correct its plan, and killing everyone who suspect about it.

i finally watched the first ep of dangerous romance and honestly idk, im not the biggest fan of bully x victim tropes. ofc this one feels kinda different coz the dude doesnt back down and actually fights back and i was kinda enjoying his attitude and antics. also here comes another dude with daddy issues, taking his emotions out on other people. tale as old as time. the trailer and preview looks nice and interesting tho, so i guess ill give it another go

RANT ABT VIVZIEPOP NO I DO NOT LIKE HER OR HER CONTENT LMAO

i keep seeing HH and HB fans like. surprised that Vivziepop doesnt know how to portray a functioning gay relationship and its like. Yeah. Shes Always Been Like That

in Zoophobia the only healthy relationship was one between a guy and a girl (Zill & Kayla) and the ones between the girls were sometimes healthy but every single relationship between two guys was ALWAYS toxic to some degree

examples:

Rudy x Auburn: it was a bully and his nerd victim whose entire trait was that they yelled at eachother a lot

Addison x Gustav: it was a student and a teachers assistant which, yes, it wasnt p*dophilia but that is a VERY CLEAR POWER IMBAALANCE a student has way less power compared to the teachers assistant and Gustav is treated like a teacher frequent

Angel: hes only been portrayed in toxic relationships in the show with other men but back then in his original storyline he dated Vaggie and they had a functioning relationship which feels very weird to me that when he dated a girl its fine but the moment it was switched to men its always toxic

and the Stolas x Blitzo: first off i havent watched anything past like the Addict music video so im basing this off what ive been told. Stolas is royalty and hires Blitzo under the condition that Stolas gets to use Blitzo as a fucktoy and Blitzo is dependent on Stolas for his business i do not need to get into why this is a bad thing

now toxic relationships are normal but absolutely none of these relationships besides Angels are told as toxic by Vivziepop (and even then ive been told Vivziepop doesnt mind when people ship Angel with his abuser so) and i kind of expect HB to cause Vivziepop's downfall at this rate because i think a lot of people are realising the flaws in her writing in that it glorifies/excuses toxic behaviour when it comes to gay men

JK Rowling loves misogyny. Loves it. She loves it. Every woman who says “I am a feminist, I am ridding the world of misogyny", and spends all day tweeting mean things at trans people. Or gets on trans people's profiles and just says the most horrible, cruel things... That's not how you end misogyny. So we can all see from your actions that you don't actually want misogyny to go away. JK Rowling uses the fact that misogyny is real, it does exists, to be the constant victim. And in her warped, awful morality, she thinks being a victim entitles her to victimize anyone that she wants to. That bullying is what TERFs are addicted to. And they will do anything about misogyny.

J. K. Rowling not only was a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, but also faced misogyny im publishing field: explaining why she wrote under her initials, J.K. Rowling revealed: "My publisher, who published Harry Potter, they said to me, we think this is a book that will appeal to boys and girls. And I said, oh, great. And they said, so could we use your initials?" The author went on to explain that the publishers were basically trying to "disguise" the fact that she was a woman simply because her book "might appeal" to all genders. But, as J.K. noted, that didn't last for long. "The book won an award and I got a big advance from America and I got a lot of publicity," she added. "So I was outed as a woman."

It was a clear blink to classical fantasy authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis.

Apparently, those publishers never heard of Ursula K. Le Guin, Tanith Lee, Marion Zimmer Bradley...

Jeffrey doesn't deny those facts: doesn't invalidate victims painful statements and their struggle to finally be able to talk about the real horror they had to pass through.

Jeffrey is NOT mansplaining misogyny, as well. They (Jeffrey's pronouns are they/them) are NOT explaining misogyny (to women) or invalidating JK Rowling testimony as survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Jeffrey is speaking about how JK Rowling uses the fact that she was an actual victim of misogyny to stifle criticism and to avoid being held accountable for her “hate speech”.

In the same way H. P. Lovecraft fans uses the fact he was one of the founding parents of horror literature to avoid an honest discussion about his rampant racism.

As well Marion Zimmer Bradley heirs use her life as lesbian feminist scholar and writer to hide from the large public the fact she was involved in the cover-up of her husband's, convicted child abuser Walter Breen, sexual abuse of children and purposefully avoided investigating, questioning, or notifying any authorities. Multiple accuses of child sexual abuse were raise by their daughter Moira Greyland, who in 2014 went public about physical and sexual abuses her mother and Breen inflicted on her and other girls. Breen ended up with a conviction because of it, though Bradley got away unscathed at the time and died in 1999 without facing justice for her crimes.

Helding authors and artists accountable for their actions is important, because it will show that they are not immune to law and justice. It also would open a discussion about their crimes and NOT talking about what they did is a big insult to their victims and to all victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault and hate crimes.

hi, so im a member of the trans community and as expected, i kind of lost all faith in hp after hearing jkr's statements about our sex. now, i wanna ask you: what is it about hp that makes u love it so, despite the fact that its written by a terf?

Hi! First of all, I wanna thank you for being polite HAHAHA no seriously, thank you. Now, I don’t want this to come off as a sob story or anything, but--for lack of a better phrase--HP really was there for me when no one else was. As a friendless 12-year-old who was always bullied at school and had to deal with her parents’ divorce at home, HP just seemed like the perfect escape from all of that. 

I began to see some of the characters, especially Hermione and Luna, as role models; girls my age who embraced their intelligence and creativity instead of shying away from their strengths, like I’d begun to do after being called a know-it-all one too many times. 

However, this love really doesn’t excuse all the nasty things JKR has been saying. I’m not gonna take sides and say “Oh, she’s just misinformed!” because FUCK NO, the internet is an enormous place, and there’s tons of proper sources if she really wanted to learn about trans people and the struggles they go through. I even read through her “critical essay” to see if her reasoning would hold up, but nope; it was just a bunch of excuses that could be summarized as “I’m the victim here, and you should side with me.”

So yeah, I’m sorry this ended up being so long. But I just want you to know that for me, Harry Potter doesn’t “belong” to her anymore, in the loosest sense of the word. She hasn’t done anything good for it in the last few years, and quite frankly, it’s only us fans that have kept the magic of Hogwarts alive. I know “death of the author” isn’t a good excuse because somebody creating something means that their deepest values and morals are ingrained in said work, but I’d also like to think--a bit naively, perhaps??--that HP isn’t just hers now. This fandom, albeit with its toxicities and downsides, is actually one of the most creative fandoms I’ve ever been in, and quite frankly, most of the ‘fics I’ve read even surpass that of JKR’s writing.

I don’t even know if that answered your question at all? I know it sounds like I’m making a bunch of excuses for a woman who doesn’t even know me, but at least now you’d sort-of understand why HP has been so hard for me to drop. I literally grew up with it, so pushing it away after some twenty-odd years of having it in my corner will really take some time. 

Just know that to me, who you say you are is who you say you are, and no one else can dictate that. I really hope you can still view my blog as a safe place, and that if you’re one of my followers, please know that you can still talk to me about anything and everything.
