I have decided to continue the trend!~ but cats instead! I personally think the cats came out better but that's only because I have drawn cats my entire life and I never drew lambs before joining the cult of the lamb fandom. Also I wanna say a few things. I'm sorry for anyone's lambs I misgendered in the last post, also for aveloka this took me about 2 hours, one hour rough draft sketch another hour for full sketch/outline. And I think that's it for now... anyways, cats!

I squealed so loud i thought I woke my family @bamsara the face was hard but I loved drawing them so much, again cloak was really fun, the cloak on like all of these Nari's were really fun to draw tbh @cotl-flower-crown I love the fluffy cloak thing, and just how angry they look! @melled42 your lamb sadly didn't get into my last post since I started following you after I made that, but I drew your Nari! I love them very much and having them as a hairless cat is very creative! I love the idea!

Here is my Narinder! He's based off of a mink color point cat! So instead of being black, he's a brown cat with black smoked patterns, or known as the Siamese markings! He lost all memory of the bishops being killed and himself defeated, so Lamb helped him through it until he gained his memory back, and when he did he became a lot like Shimura. He was pretty much mindless in a way... I just wondered around aimlessly and wouldn't respond, sometimes he comes back but very rarely, Lamb worries about him a lot. the cloak was made by lamb as a welcome gift to make Nari feel for comfortable in the cult! Also the thing on Nari's finger is a butterfly! It's his butterfly friend! No name yet but if you have ideas but tell me, I'm terrible with names! Sometimes he has panic attacks which make his eyes cry blood, plus whenever he opens his third eye it instantly starts bleeding. He also has eyes on the palms of his hands but you can't see them at the moment, he can see how people die with them!

This bit for the Movie Possession AU has been in my mind rent free for months ever since @min-play commented it on her blog and yesterday i finally sat down to draw it and it was gonna be another sketched comic but then woops i put way more effort than i thought.

So have it! more content! im not too sure about the logic behind this scenario but I like to think that Lloydd was perfectly fine and would have woken up in like 5 more minutes but godd Morro can be so impatient sometimes and now this is somehow his direct fault woops!

Also something i noticed (and i looked it up TWICE THRICE cause memory go BRRR) is that Morro literally never calls Lloyd by his name normally, like the first time he just says 'garmadon's son' kind to spit back Lloyd's comment about the green ninja being a meaningless title and then he says his full name to that one guy with the knife that was trying to kill Lloyd and then one more time to mock him but then i?? dont see him ever using his name ever again? He mostly uses mean nicknames or just says YOU! So i think he would use it only when hes genuinely concerned mayhaps hmmmm....

But I like to give a little love to characters that most people might not know about, in fact here's some random drawings that I had in the back-burner for the past year! Never could find a chance to just post them:

Here's a cute drawing of Cyclone, Maxine Hunkle! Wanted to give her a cute costume makeover. Kinda has a magical girl look to it huh? Took a bit of inspiration from Ojamajo Doremi, but also she's meant to resemble Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! Both the princess and the witch. I have a bit of idea of what I'm going do with her, but that's for later.

Got a drawing of Gan, Jason's friend from the Knight White books. Not sure if she exist in my Training Wheels au, but I like her a lot. Her rapport with Jason was fun to read.

Here it looks like the Outlaws are trying to recruit new members, from the Relative Heroes group, Damara Sinclaire (Allure) and Tyson Gilford (Blindside). They're not likely to join, preferring to stick with their own group. Just as well since Damara's powers might make things a rather chaotic, she doesn't need that drama in her life lol. Tho I like the thought of Tyson helping out now and then, his invisibility would be pretty useful.

I thought about what kinda sidekicks they could have, but I didn't want to look up metals or learn about metallurgy or chemistry or whatever. So I just made them smaller, its just temporary though, aren't they cute? Look at poor Copper, she just wants to join in!

So I thought I would download nightshade and glaze, but that didn't work out at all (I got a new laptop but it still wont render for me at all). pallea my beloved, also just throwing it out there, I did NOT name her after pellea the dish I did not even know that existed before making her I remember I was naming her the same way I name alot of my ocs when they dont have irl names and I just took two words and smashed them together, I also wanted a character to have word PAL in the name for puns, I didn NOT name her after the food TOT

then we have my another very beloved oc RAMONA LOSALL

when it comes to her I accualy don't wanna post too much abt her bc shes exclusive for a project I am not even NEAR touching anytime soon simply to not work on whole 4 big projects at the same time like that would just straight up kill me lmao, but she beasictly starts out as a femme fatale untill it turns out shes as good of a detective as mickey and the two of them get into some cases together

designing her was really fun and I am SO proud of how she turned out, I've been meaning to draw more characters in the rubberhose style that fits in with mickey and others that does have more unique features since I am one of the very few people who accualy do mind the same face on every mouse character that isnt just a big snout, shes got much much smaller and in head ears, her eyes are highlighted and big also her pupils are square and my fav her snout is in a diff shape its curved up and goes more thin as it ends that is that one design i am SO proud of omg

also fun fact, she accualy started out as a redesign of ingrid from old mickey comics but writing just kept going and going and redesign was redesigning

then we have "elenor"e exe.24 who guess what were just calling elenore, I don't have that much drawings of her and I NEED to redesign her...again bc I dont like how her body turned out as in its not rubberhose enough imo

ofc my art doesnt do full on noodle hands and thin arms and legs and stuff but it never went on the level where I was like "hm looks like my normal human build" untill it came to drawing her, the issue with the rubberhose style is that you will have just awful time while trying to design a curvy character , anyways shes a robot and I can see that you can see that shes inspired by mimi the pin up girl like shes in the photo i can see that you see but ye just like ramona she started out as a redesign of an already existing character in this case mimi and things got out of hand again, she's apart of the "neon city" and works in the entertainer industry [while activley fucking up the entire system when no ones looking]

then we have amelia who's in something im accualy working on right now so im not gonna tell you much abt her character and will more focus on her design

shes a weasel! her design was my attempt at using shape language more in my art witch i think you can obviously see since shes beasicly a one giant triangle with soft outsides, I tried my best to give her light colors that don't melt together too much and Hopefuly succeded TOT

but I can tell you she would either instantly choke sylvester shyster to death or would sing him lullabies to bed and theres no inbetween

OK SO THIS ONE WAS MADE A WHILE AGO THAT I NEVER FINISHED UNTIL NOW (going on break from posting to just make stuff and pile them up surprisingly makes you productive)

ive had this idea for a while now, esp when i first made the first two pages. i just never had the time to fully contextualise what narry might say in return until now where he actually has advice (which i had to think abt)

like usual, im writing from experience and personal ideas bc for a while ive been genuinely unsure as to how i wanted my narrator to be. he's at his third redesign (roughly, this is the third outfit he's ever had and im counting design sheets as redesigns)

a part of me is glad its satiating the side that wants "just an old man" narry. but on the other my minds screaming its not 'creative' or 'unique' or 'different' enough compared to other ppls narrators. which are way more recognizable and more creative in their designs. and thus this is where this comic came from

im gonna explore my narrators design again for a bit. probably not a full rehaul since at this point the grey n white swoop is a standard. but with me experimenting maybe i can find something that satiates both sides of what i want and hopefully get to put that man in more silly outfits asdjashdg

also, if u cant tell by some of the comics ive been making recently/the vent comic a year ago where narry got his swoop from, i like writing my thought processes into plotlines for tsp bc my minds constantly changing, so might as well have it adapt sdjh

New prologue for little brother au came out! Im hyped so I’m gonna talk about it!

It’s been a hot minute since I made a post related to little brother au. Ive never done a “heres cool things Ive noticed in this chapter” Ive done similar stuff but not a full on break down of a chapter kind of post. For me personally I saw a lot of cool details that also led me to asking a lot of questions soooo here I am. Ok so where to start? The first cool thing I noticed when I was reading the newest chapter was this cool effect with the panels.

It looks like the rat kings tail and I just thought that was sick. Ive been wanting to make my own comic for a while and one of the things I struggle with is panel layouts so seeing cool panel stuff like this is just chefs kiss. 😘

Enouther thing that I thought was interesting was how the boys interact and treat yoshi. Went I was reading the post about the “Yoshi not really seeing them as his kids” my first thought was that they weren’t very close. But with the way leo reacted to yoshi going down and then later in the comic we get spot hugging yoshi like this makes me think that yes Yoshi may not have been as involved or as close to the turtles as Draxum was, but they still did care a lot about each other. It was a lot closer of a relationship then I initially thought at least.

It’s making me wonder what their dynamic was before he got sliced.

Ok this next one was really funny to me. When I was looking back at the chapter I got to this image and was like “wait where the hell did rat king get a chair in the flippin swears???”

“Does…does he like have it prepared on him for when he’s ready to talk down to and beat kids? Did he just manifest it into existence??? Dame I wonder what other things rat king is carrying under that rob? Maybe he can hook me up with a dinning room set or a mini fridge?”

…but then I took a closer look… and I just-

Their. Fucking. Rats!

I just I can’t. Rat chair? RAT CHAIR???? How are they even doing that?!? Ok I GUESS, I’m going to add animal abuse to his charges cause you can’t look at me and tell me this isn’t animal cruelty!

wait the guys are tenically animals to so I guess he was already committing animal abuse... Ok thats it! I’M OUT!!!!

This panel reminded me of that scene from stranger things went Will was frantically scribble on papers to make that guint map of the upside down, it was taped together and screwn across the intire floor and walls of Wills house. It just gave me that vibe idk.

The way Shark draws scared faces is really cool as well. It’s giving slight loony toons vibes to me for some reason as well as tales from the tmnt. It’s just really cool.

Again wtf rat king. How… how is your tail that long??? As somebody who has a fear of rats spisifically when it comes to their tails, I can speak for all of us when I say ewww. Raph’s right you are disgusting.

I thought it was a cool effect with all the eye in the fur. My guess is that it was just a cool look for show or it’s his rat possy helping him reach that menacing vibe check. Ether way its really cool and also made me relise that the purple is very vibrant compared to the more mute colors in the comic which helps it stand out a ton. Adding on to that stand out menacing tone. Really cool 👍

I also thought it was interesting how the creator draws leo’s markings. I’ve seen people give him extra yellow and red markerings before but I’ve never seen anyone draw Leo with a big yellow marking at the top like that. It looks cool. Donnie’s and Mikey’s markings are cool to and its interesting to see how their designs have avoled throughout the making of this comic. Like Raph’s some what resont new spikes at the top of the head or Donnies cheek markings.

Speaking of how things have evolved and changed in the comic, I think it’s interesting to see how the past has changed and differed over time. Some of the differences between the prologue and the memories could just be the creator slightly changing how they wanted to go about doing the prologue. It happens.

But my personal take on it is that since it was a traumatic event for spot and because of the fact that up till this point we have been only relying on present spots memories and thoughts of the events he was remembering certain things differently. This is the first time we are getting the full sober truth of what happened because at this point it’s still fresh in spots little mind. Or it could be that instead of seeing spots pov were gettIng more of a outsiders pov of the situation or smth.

sorry if you've already mentioned but what (re?)ignited your love of comics/x-men/cherik? curious because there are so many different adaptations of them

i think im gonna speak for a few (or a lot of) people when i say that TL;DR the wolverine x deadpool movie that came out this summer is what pulled me back into comics and i COULD leave it there but i will go into excruciating and unnecessary detail instead because i love an origin story and i love oversharing.

under the cut tho because im nice sometimes (there's also wxdp doodles in here. if you want to see that)

ironically (and probably commonly), growing up i was more of an avengers kid. Kinda. Loosely <- binge watched the cartoons and movies and read copious amounts of comics and fics and i am hoarding fanart in my old dresser as we speak ok 'loosely' is a modest lie.

embarrassingly i remember getting into discus cause of captain america LMAO so yeah needless to say i was a Humble Fan- me joining my school's comic class/club didnt help either (shoutout to my teach from that she was the realest one out there for. A Multitude of reasons). she definitely is was inspires me to even draw still and make comics and i often think bout the tips i learned from her class tbh she was great

back to the movies t and comics tho, i got into em because my brother would offer to take me and that's how we'd hang out (i rarely saw movies in theaters and i even more rarely went anywhere as a teenager. still kinda like that today tbh ooops) and yk. it just snowballed after that.

my brother and i have always liked comics- he just more than me for a while (though he still very much loves comics and As We Know From My Posts we still talk about them whenever i see him To An Exhausting Degree)

durin then i was really into stony and i have a few surviving doodles i made but those are between me and god. and anyone who asks tbh LOL

'snap can you make this related to x-men again this is long' ok so fast forward to This Summer again I Still Don't Really See Movies but my brother offered to take me and this was the first time i'd actually seen an x-men movie in full

as a kid i only remember seeing the 'perfection' scene between erik and raven in first class while i was channel surfing. pretty sure i changed the channel after seeing mystique naked cause i was scared my parents would get mad at me if they caught me watching it LOL

BUT MOVING ON As A Kid i think it's also natural you'll sometimes watch 92 if it's on And I Did though evidently it didn't stick too hard (i do remember really liking beast and gambit though.... still do really): my knowledge of x-men was. INCREDIBLY sparse. like diabolically so so i didnt have too much expectations (aside from the fact i vaguely liked deadpool beforehand).

tbh i dont know why my bro never took me to see any of the x-men movies. it's not like he doesn't Also like x-men (90% sure nightcrawler's his favorite but my brother will be caught dead saying he has absolute favorites like that)- he owns a bitch load of deadpool comics/omnibus sets too (of which ive read over the years and reread this year) but Shrug moving on

Much Like Most Of The Internet i fell down the rabbit hole that way. i have some doodles i made a couple days after seeing WxDP that i now have an excuse to throw at all of you Look And Perceive

and so. As I Do. i got curious and told myself i'd binge watch all the x-men movies the week before i went back to school And Then I Did ft. My Brother Sometimes and then i said i'd binge watch all of '92 and And I Did That ft. My Brother Sometimes But Less So and now we're here. currently watching Evolution...

once i got to school i realized i lived near a comic shop and started getting into the comics that way (the first ones i got since going down this rabbit hole was Magneto Was Right!, The Resurrection of Magneto, and The Trial of Magneto. if you were curious !!!!! clearly i didnt care too much about context i just needed to see My Guy jelvejlkvj i have no regrets and Evidently ive read more since)

i'm pretty sure what dragged me into cherik specifically was the fact i saw a clip of The Famous ending to 92 where erik's aghast at the notion jean even has to question his love for charles. i think that was what officially had me refocus my lens on them: not a single poolverine thought after that LOL (all the cherik posting i saw on twitter definitely helped too but that was the nail in the coffin for any other interests i had: i was locked into cherik and x-men in general now)

that clip specifically, i was surprised at the fact they- frequently even- have the x-men franchise say erik loves charles and vice versa so bluntly. even if it's not meant to be romantic, i fear im just a fan of how casually the word's thrown around with them two and i got tender bout it all. Then Yk. i just live for the drama. the hilarity even. the sincerity .... they make me sick if i think of them too long so im gonna end it here

before i go tho ironically enough, the first x-men issue i owned was This one (story a this is that while stuck in some wacko dimension charles accidentally gets himself trapped in logan's mind while utilizing his astral projection. if you were curious). pretty sure i got it for free with another comic set i got years ago since our old comic shop loved to do that, but it's poetic aint it. maybe ill doodle something referencing it..

i should probably look into finishing this arc someday im Dummy curious to even know how it started and how it ends.....

Okay, so let me ramble abt making the last comic, cause that was an absolute behemoth to work on, and I have a lot of thoughts in my head. Man, I don't know how those webtoon artists do it every week. They scare me now.

This is super long btw, so get cozy if you want to read :]

Starting off, I actually got this idea from my lil 'ol diary I keep by my tableside :] I like writing down what I feel so I can see it in a more concrete(?) manner, helps me cope i think. One time, I really did cry for someone because I guess I just really liked them a lot. Having crushes is fun, but catching feelings isn't.

I always get this giddy feeling of being head over heels for someone. Every interaction is so exciting. Intoxicating even. And I couldn't get enough of it, but after that few seconds of bliss I immediately think to myself that all these scenarios in my head will never happen, not in a million fucking years. I just preemptively reject myself without ever telling the person what I feel. I know what the outcome will be anyway, and I'm afraid of what will happen if I did say anything. It's just too risky.

The second half is completely made up tho, I will never ever kidnap someone... unless? (For legal reasons, I will have to clarify that this is a joke, Thank you.)

Now onto the comic itself!

The composition is probably the easiest and the most fun part. I love, love, love, how versatile you can be in the webtoon format. Figuring out how to transition the panels is super fun, and it sucks that most of the webcomics I see on tapas or webtoon, etc. are just sticking to those boring box formulas over and over again when it has so much potential, although there are exceptions like, for example, Lore Olympus. While it has it's fair share of flaws when in comes to other aspects, you can't deny the artist's talent esp when it comes to knowing how to place the character in an illustration, (again) the compositioning etc etc. (ep. 8 is p good. They stick to the box stuff during dialogue but gets more experimental in some parts. I haven't been keeping up with it, so idk any other good eps)

One of my only big regrets is that I wish I had made the space between the '...but I love it." and "And soon..." parts longer. I think it changed scenarios way too fast and your eye immediately moves onto the next piece of text,, but eh, it is what it is, and I can't be bothered to edit it so ig I gotta learn to live with it.

It's still messy in,, a lot of parts actually, and I still can't do lineart to save my life, but i kinda tried just cleaning up the sketches instead???? I mean, it kinda works, but it isn't really smooth so,, And there are small mistakes here and there that I could've fixed or colored stuff in properly or whatever. But at that point, I'm just done with it. No more. Am tired and want to draw other shit now. Maybe boobs n dicks n pussy-

I also really want to make a full on nsfw one, like gut rearranging, carnal fucking, hardcore banging,, ok ill stop. But I do need to do more,, uh, "research" on that,, i swear it's research, i have no clue how im gonna draw it. Hell, I already struggle with drawing people fucking and imagine adding cool transitions to that. Guess even my masochistic tendencies extend to this shit too.

And I think that's pretty much it? I'll probably just stick to b and w or monotone with a few accent colors because i just know that it would break me if i did a fully colored one.

BUCKLE UP its time for me to ramble a ton

1. HEAVEN DESIGN!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

just kidding but also, we know nothing about heaven. the only thing we know is that the Vulcan is made from heaven parts, but only a little bit. same with the RRH. i took that idea and ran!

overall: stained glass windows, bricks and marble, and general church-looking aesthetics are what inspired all of heaven.

theres several locations in the comic though! the library is probably the easiest, it’s just a huge library. unfortunately we dont get to see most of it, but paz and judge arent really supposed to be there. not that theyre not allowed, just that the work there is usually done by other angels. think of it like the heaven equivalent of heirophants, who do the Hell bookkeeping. there’s the temple of law, full of all law knowledge. heaven has the same!

the THRONE ROOM. its pretty big, but also not that big. it has to be huge because the All has to fit in there, but thats also a setting that isnt explored too much (yet :3). the room is entirely designed to be focused on the All- the throne is right in the middle, down a long corridor that points straight to it. there’s a skylight directly above the throne, and behind it are rows of angels singing in praise. everything in that room is supposed to draw your eye to the All. its a little self-obsessed.

the indoor pond (and the area surrounding it) are very different. very little time passes between the throne room and paz getting to the indoor pond (maybe 15 minutes or so?) but everything is dark! thats cause the pond (im gonna keep calling it that cause i have no name for this area of heaven?) actually takes place in a different uh... heaven realm? theres different Hells, but collectively, theyre all hell. there’s different Heavens, but theyre part of heaven! this part of heaven is a perpetual nighttime, but the ground glows. the atmosphere is like being on the edge between earth and space- the sky is dark, the stars are very visible, the air is thin. the ground glows because without that, it would be completely dark other than the stars. the building itself is just an indoor pond, which paz really enjoys. if hes not busy, hes usually just hanging out in there, which is why judge knew exactly where to go when she left the throne room. they hang out in there a lot to talk shit on heaven

the sky bridge / cathedral city? that the recent pages showed- the most ambitious background ive probably ever done??- is probably the most populated heaven. its like... main street? theres tons of churches, cathedrals, whatever you wanna call em. this is where the all’s self-obsession is on full display. if you look closely, a lot of the designs resemble the all, usually the giant eye. even the pond has that design:

but overall, its kind of a comfy heaven. there are tons of bridges that lead to wherever you need to go- again, like a main street kinda thing. the bridges have NO RAILS OR SECURITY because angels can just hover so theyre not in danger. unknown should Not have been up there.

there is one more location we’ll visit before the comic is over, but... ah, youll see :3

2. JUDGE’S NAME

have you ever watched kill bill? you know how they censored the main characters name like, almost the entire time?

i battled with this question for like A While. throughout the storyboarding process of comic, i debated on giving judge an actual name, because it would never be revealed. its important for Reasons I Cant Say Yet. there are tons of dialogue bits that hint at who she becomes, and of course if youve played the game you already know judge’s fate. but before being the judge, who was she?

i also wanted to have that same kind of... i hate to say it, silliness of paz’s name. you go an entire game hearing smooth-talkin ol’ paz, and then it is revealed that his name is PAZELIUS. the entire ending monologue caught me so off guard because like, shes the only one who calls him pazelius. which is why she does in the comic, she very rarely uses his nickname. anyway im getting off track. eventually i did give judge a name, and i call her by that name very often to differentiate devil juj and comic juj.

3. FAVORITE SONG

you can’t make me choose. oh god. i think its a tie between leviathan and poetry of cinder but if i HAD to choose, leviathan is my top one. it just. shreds, dude. i listen to every song on the soundtrack on repeat except silent no more because theyre all just really good but that ones definitely gotten the most replays.

IDK maybe “try one last time” to record his entry on the matter, cause he doesnt know how to phrase his own thoughts cause the thing on the tape was so WEIRD??

Mayhaps he was just unnerved by it cause he KNOWS he never recorded such a thing + WHY IS A TAPE WITH HIS VOICE IN A COMPARTMENT THAT SHOULDN’T EXIST?????

right off the bat im just gonna assume hes saying “before (making/drawing) any conclusions” cause that just makes sense

clearly hes plotting something. gotta…do something before reaching any conclusions. Right away i assume hed be reaching conclusions about the tape.

I reread the comic again earlier today and when Wingdings was questioning why the compartment wasn’t on the blueprints, he said something like “or could it be that…” and cutting himself off. and that got me THINKING

if we were to go off the assumption that Gaster caused the power outage/is responsible for the tape and small crevice n all that (i adamantly believe this, watch me be completely right and prove all you nay sayers wrong) Then he could have time traveled, added that crevice to the blueprints, then removed it later?? seems convoluted but THATS NOT THE POINT, THE POINT IS TIME TRAVEL

the conclusion Wingdings is reaching but hesitant to is TIME TRAVEL cause he NEVER made that tape😭😭

Okay its later than i said but here is the full breakdown (plus commentary on my abandoned dead money time loop comic) (under the read more because this bitch is hella long lol) (also potential trigger warning for various mental health things like depression and suicide/suicidal ideation and also surgery related triggers) (better safe than sorry)

the chapter title for this one (begin again) is pretty self explanatory imo. its the sierra madre slogan, it alludes to the time loop very well, all around good title honestly

I actually drew parts of this. I really started losing steam when I drew Cheyanne the dog from memory and realized she looked nothing like a dog and that I have to draw her multiple times. that and the fact that it felt like all of my panels that weren't ✨artistic interpretations of suffering✨ or whatever were starting to look really static imo. ( reached the image limit so ill post the few pages i did finish for this in another reblog)

"something something anustart" is a reference to reboot arrested development that I was using as placeholder dialogue. I actually don't remember what I did end up writing for him lol.

the gun is named Holorific because i misread "holorifle damage" as "holorific damage" for most of the dlc and I wanted to preserve that

"we'll meet again" was a later edition because some development in a later scene (will elaborate more on why when we get there)

Can you tell i wrote this before falling utterly in love with deputy beagle? "the deputy" im gonna cry he has a name past me! its george armstrong beagle! (its not but i want him to have a first name so it's george now) (back to deja)

anyways the part where she bursts into tears seeing the poster was originally going to be the most explicit the romance between deja and dean would get (and would mostly be one sided pining). Uh... things changed. In the next reblog ill post the rubber duck notes (now thats some fun behind the scenes stuff!)

Not much else to say about chapter 2. its mostly just more foreshadowing of things to come

okay yeah this chapter title is literally a lyric from nicki minaj's "starships" but its got time loop vibes plus this is the chapter with the repcon rockets so it works imo

oh that damn coyote hat! the vulpes death was originally only meant to be a comedic moment, but like most of the stuff here it ended up evolving into something really really cool (symbolically speaking).

since I keep learning more about come fly with me id probably change some of the bulletpoints here (like actually managing to save davison because deja has done this enough times she would know how to do this)

Deja cries a lot. idk how much crying is too much crying. idk. i think her hearing the last words jason says to her would elicit some tears but not full on sobbing.

but yeah. foreshadowing deja's new fear of never seeing her friends again and finding comfort in the hell that is the time loop because she'll get to see them again. its why she never leaves. its why she does the same things over and over again. she doesnt need to go the long way around to get to benny and kill him. she doesnt need to go to repcon. but she wants to see her friends again. and she will play that loop again and again to see her friends. also she has no idea how to leave the time loop (long story we'll get there).

oh yeah and her stash of med-x gets explained later

i love an artsy flashback and this chapter is mostly artsy flashback. we also get a reveal that boone knows more than he initially let on. behind the scenes, this is him slowly remembering that he's trapped in this time loop too. later we find out that this is because he was close by to the inciting incident (but thats a tale for a later chapter)

this is also the chapter where we fully find out that deja has a heart condition. I dont think its properly named until like the final chapters (if ever) but in my notes it's officially myxoma (when i was writing all of these bullet points down i had the mayo clinic description of myxoma opened up on my phone)

did i predict mono red veronica? haha. this chapter title is a reference to the mtg card "chandra, dressed to kill" which feature chandra burning some vampires at a wedding while rocking a red cocktail dress (which is veronica vibes frfr)

idk why i added the black mountain detour other than to reveal that radiation doesnt bother deja? i guess? dont know where I was going with this honestly. like it doesnt come up again.

the relationship deja has with veronica is sadly criminally underdeveloped in my notes. the idea was to flesh it out as I actually wrote it, but damn i think that was doomed to fail. which is a shame because their friendship is canonically so important to deja that she burns whole bridges just to keep veronica as her friend (once again, to be elaborated on later)

this chapter is mostly set up for the ending (spoiler alert she gets a happy ending dammit)

uh oh my supernatural fan is showing! one of my all time favorite supernatural episodes is the season 3 time loop one named "mystery spot" which heavily features the song "heat of the moment" by asia

"yells at him" is the understatement of the century but thats besides the point lol. idk what it would actually look like but looking at it now id want it to be reminiscent of her full blown breakdown in chapter 15 (at least i think its 15 it might be 16) (youll know it when u see it)

ah the "you make it sound like" page! originally drawn with my beloved courier suzie, i was going to reuse it (with deja in her place) for this part because it turned out so good imo

also more placeholder dialogue. the main point of all of my placeholder dialogue was to get the vibes down. getting it written properly in character was saved for the comic drafting step (probably another pitfall oof)

what i mean by "getting lightly bullied by the cloud" is that a hallucination of benny was going to show up as a manifestation of her fear of never being able to escape the loop. this was another cool panel with him holding the gun to her forehead while clearly being made out of the cloud

also yeah the forshadowing that deja has a weird complex around redeeming dean domino (but more on that in a little bit)

under the cut i’m gonna post all the secrets and unfulfilled plans i had for the comic that i can think of or remember. definitely feel free to ask any questions if you got them. feeling nostalgic.

plans i had for the plot

X becomes Xephos as seen in the last halloween special. rythian would take him to the headquarters and tawny would hit him with a steel chair until he convinces her he’s good now (he’s not). eventually he was going to get himself killed to play one last joke by driving tawny truly as mad as himself. maybe it would have worked, maybe not. to top it off, lying was going to bring him back, but since X is “the only me”, he’d be off. maybe just a real xephos again, maybe some slightly alternate X.

Nilesy would find out Parv is the one who murdered his granddad. parv would try to explain himself only for nilesy to shun him, showing mercy despite wanting nothing more than to kill parv. nilesy’s rejection breaks parv’s heart and strife pushes him to go full monster, forcing nilesy to end parv by pulling the blood out of his body, killing him.

rythian would have to fight the ender dragon queen, who would probably come to the real world by becoming a hot dragon lady or using rythian’s body as a vessel or something. the queen plus the resurrection of israphel would cause the greatest threat to reality so far, forcing all the villains and heroes to team up and defeat them.

Steve? would put on a giant hulkbuster mecha and eventually get forced out of it, and a villain would say something like “without your fancy suit youre just a stupid kid”, and steve? would pull out a “diamond sword” (a full on lightsaber) and do a few cool things and tragically die.

khaz would recover, but be completely unable to hero again. the ghost of xephos would tell him it’s time he stops fighting for xephos and to start living for honeydew.

kim and lalna would eventually free themselves from DoG again, and bebop would reveal he’s already had a real robo body made and ready to upload himself into.

DoG would go more into how his brain is decaying due to his powers and basically holding itself together with cosmic stardust. someway somehow, after he and the supers save the world from israphel and the ender queen, he’d get his comeuppance and the old Ridge would come back very briefly to say something tragic, and he’d basically fade away.

the comic where zoey designs her new arm’s tools was to foreshadow that she was eventually gonna save someones life using the umbrella attachment, and also somehow make an APC with it.

sipsman’s arc was pretty much done. due to IRL fallout, s*inergy would have faded heavily in importance, sipsman as a character likely would have suffered a bit as a side effect.

kim would finally lose her flux mutations, but reveal that her entire body was flux, and she would have an ultimate anime form where she turns into some glowing nude power woman and destroy DoG’s facility singlehandedly.

various secrets/headcanons

nilesy is the strongest super in the series. he is basically THE god of water, but doesn’t know it.

lying and sipsman were my favorite characters to draw

tawny was the hardest character to draw

steve? is in love with tawny, who would violently reject him and eventually have to apologize. ross also fell in love with tawny but no one would ever find out.

parv was difficult because i never knew how far to take his gimmick. i always worried he was offensive or triggering to people who suffer with self injury issues. i remember i saw a tag that said something like “thank you for parv, he really helps with my issues” and i was like “h-how?” yeah im pretty sure parv and strife were gettin’ down too. but parv had a crush on nilesy too.

kims mutations would have been way cooler or more severe if i had been better at drawing at the time.

i believe zoey appears the most of any character. she was the easiest girl to draw and during the comics run i wasnt very good at drawing girls so i used her as practice.
