EEEE I SAW THE STREAM!!!! Summary: Everyone knows Daniel loves music. What they don’t know is his (slight) crush on the bassist from one of his favorite bands.

AN: Happy Daniel birthday gang! Legit celebrating this harder than my own birthday. Sorry for the lack of posts, I’ve been fighting some hardcore writers block and don’t have any original ideas, but i wanted to do smth for Daniels bday anyway. Hope you like it!

AN3: (after completion) lowkey thinking of turning this into a series, what do you think?

It was a well-known fact around the paddock that Daniel loved music. Scratch that; not just the paddock knew, anyone that knew anything about the driver knew about his passion.

While Daniel often put forward his love of country music, another genre he strongly appreciated, although not quite as much as country, was rock.

So when he found a small pop-punk band through social media, he immediately followed them, hooked from the first note.

Soon, he had every song committed to memory, and started mentioning them more around his friends.

Max quickly caught on to Daniel’s new find, and as he always did when the Aussie got excited about a new artist, he asked the older man to tell him about the band.

As Daniel spoke, Max quickly caught on to the fact one was being mentioned slightly more than his band mates.

"And what’s so great about that bassist, huh mate?" the Dutch questioned "What do you mean?" replied Daniel, a slightly confused look on his face. "C’mon man, you keep on talking about him. So why?"

Daniel’s face immediately grew red as he denied the accusation, and changed the subject quickly, which didn’t go unnoticed by Max.

Daniel had only known the band for a few months, but had the pleasure to have seen them grow considerably. He followed them throughout their first out-of-city gig, to their first show in another country, to their first tour. And in a weird way, he couldn’t have felt prouder of the group of boys.

As the london-based band announced their first european tour, Daniel felt overjoyed once he came upon the realization that with his race calendar, he would be in Europe at the same time as the band would.

He bought himself a ticket for their first show of the tour, in London, the very moment he realized it was a mere 2 days after Silverstone.

The Aussie couldn’t wait for Silverstone; despite passing it off as excitement for the race, it was clearly more.

By the time the race arrived, it had completely fled his mind, leaving him to focus solely on the concert.

His outfit was planned out, his ticket was ready, including the bonus one he bought for Max, and the anticipation was coursing through his veins.

He didn’t even take the time to properly enjoy Silverstone, just counting down the time until he saw the band he had loved since he first heard them.

When the day finally arrived, he felt so excited but there was just a little bit of nervousness mixed in there. He told himself it was nothing, but the Dutchman beside him had already figured out the cause of his anxiety.

The show was being held inside a small venue, also containing a bar. Daniel immediately downed an alcoholic drink in the hopes of calming himself down. Feeling it’s effect on his body already, he dragged his friend up to the front, where they managed to get to the edge of the stage.

As the opening band went on, Daniel found himself to quite enjoy them, but grew impatient by the end of their set.

When the lights came back on and the opener left, a couple stage hands walked out to switch out the stage. Daniel found himself blushing as he stared at the man setting up the bass; it was you.

As the people around him went to get drinks between the bands, the Aussie went in a trance watching you set up your bass pedals, chatting with the stagehands, oblivious to his watchful gaze.

As Daniel’s admiration for you grew at the way you refused to let someone else set your things up for you, he suddenly snapped out of it as Max waved his hand in front of his face, a small smirk hiding at the corner of the Dutchman’s lips.

Before Daniel had the time to question it, the lights dimmed once again and the band members walked out on the stage under colored lights.

As the applause roared surprisingly loud for the small crowd, Daniel found himself cheering particularly loud, and a large smile grew on his face as he made eye contact with you, noticing the slight blush that developed on your face.

You winked at him and looked away, turning to your band mate to get the show started. You leant into the singer’s microphone, yelling "Hello everybody! We’re Nervous Breakdown! This one’s called ‘Insomnia’ and we hope you love it!" You finished your tirade with your signature smile, a contagious cross between a grin and a smirk.

Daniel screamed some more, belting out the lyrics as they came.

As the night went on, Daniel found himself having the absolute time of his life. Even Max noticed how his smiley friend was even happier than usual.

In between songs, you would use your band mates microphone to joke around and speak to the audience, your high energy and excitement contagious, spreading around the crowd like wildfire. Not that Daniel needed it.

When you announced your last song of the night, Daniel found his happiness met with a sudden wave of sadness.

That sadness was, however, diminished when your lead guitarist announced you all would be outside after the show, if anyone wanted to stick around. Of course, everyone cheered, and you went on with your final song of the night.

Once you all had bowed, and waved, and walked off the stage, people started flooding out of the room, a certain amount waiting outside until you all came out.

Despite not seeing the band exit the venue, he could tell exactly when you and the boys walked out, as a loud wave of cheers erupted from the group of people.

Daniel sat patiently at the back, waiting to meet you, his ticket and a sharpie in hand, already rehearsing what he would say to you.

When the crowd started thinning, and you were finally visible, hair disheveled from jumping around, bass on your back, tired smile on your face, Daniel’s breath was taken away.

Max, feeling his companions nervousness, planted a comforting hand the on the Aussie’s shoulder, pulling him slightly closer.

"It feels weird when it’s the other way around don’t you think? Us waiting to get something signed?" Daniel chuckled at his remark, the Dutchman having succeeded in keeping his anxiety at bay.

When he finally got to you, he was the last one there. He had to admit, he admired you for staying throughout the whole group of people, knowing firsthand what that felt like, especially after a tiring concert.

When his eyes landed on you, the whole script he had prepared in his head disappeared completely.

As much as Daniel wanted to greet the band as a whole, he just couldn’t take his eyes off the young man in front of him, extending a slightly shaky arm towards you.

"Hi, I’m Daniel. Huge fan"

Okay so starting off, my unfiltered thoughts throughout the episode

-They actually spend time together when outside the adventures aww! (Not like they really have a choice, but still neat-)

-Jax being a bitch

-"Zooble turns Straight" Welp, the whooooooole fandom was right!

-Bubbles reversed dialouge. Damn they really don't want those content farms no more.

-CAINE AN POMNI INTERACTION YEAAAA (It was one piece of dialogue I'm so delusional)

-He made this adventure JUST for Zooble cuz they never go and he really wants them to GUYS HES NOT A VILLAN SEE?

-Jax being a bitch

Overall, this was definitely my favorite episode so far! The team is getting better each and every episode! SOOO much happened here!! I'm super excited to see what happens next!!

Okay, THEORY TIME!!

-Okay so to start lightly, so far, all the episodes we've seen contain:

Gangles mask breaking

Jax breaks the 4th wall

A cute/sad heart to heart conversation or interaction

A reference to angels or god or Christianity in some way

Interesting right?? Wonder if this keeps up...

-On the topic of Christianity, I saw a theory saying that if it's true that the gang developed the game (which may be true because of that computer science line), When Pomni says "I knew it would end up like this... He just wants me to suffer..." she may not be referring to Caine, but her Boss at CnA.

If that boss exists and is NOT named able, Imma be mildly upset-

-Okay, Alot of people have been talking about Jax being an NPC, and I wanna bring up my opinion on this:

As I mentioned earlier, he always breaks the 4th wall, witch could be seen as a character in a game being like "What do YOU think?" *Insert Game Options here*

I saw another theory saying that if this is true, Jax might be self aware or sentient to some degree, and This is why he tortures everyone. He knows that this world Revolves around the players and nit him so he wants to make them more miserable.

-OKAY, NOW WHAT (I) WEVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR... THE WHOLE DEAL WITH CAINE GLITCHING OUT AN' STUFF!

As one of many Caine angst connisuars on this platform, I really enjoyed this scene...

Caine knows that he only exists to make adventures and if he can't do it well enough than he serves ZERO purpouse and his existence is useless... (he's just like me fr)

This has SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR A SERIES FINALE.

Since in each episode we've (mostly) seen a character being comforted (mostly Either Pomni being comforted OR someone being comforted BY Pomni)

What if the last episode had Caine and Pomni having a heart to heart?

(Shutup this is not about showtime I swear let me have this-)

Someone abstracts, (Ragatha or Kinger probably,) and it's Caine's last straw. He finally breaks and the circus goes into ruins. Pomni does her best to comfort him. This could go one of two ways:

Either she sucseeds and happy ending for everyone :D

OR, they fail and The Circus is destroyed, Taking Caine down with it.

Maybe then that would be how they escape cuz if Caine is emotionaly attached to the circus, it would be completely destroyed or erased if Caine finally broke...

The angst potential is crazy...

okok so p and a always (and I mean every single time the gang hangs out) use my room’s bathroom to *cough* make out privately *cough* while s and I lay on the bed (we look my room’s door so my parents dont walk in obv) scrolling through each of our insta feeds together

Top 10 kdrama friendships that had me bawling

#10 - alchemy of souls : mu deok/bo yeon + the boys

the only reason this doesnt get a higher rating is because they just didnt have enough scenes together. it was always pretty secondhanded, like the boys helping her with her servant exam in s1, or scenes between seo yul and mu deok/bo yeon. however, their friendship was amazing, and just adore this show in itself.

#9 - doom at your service : tak dong kyung, na ji na and cha joo ik

okay, they weren't a trio, necessarily, but they had such a great friendship through indirect interaction. joo ik and dong kyung had such a wholesome excited little sister and passive older brother relationship. and dont even get me started on the cuteness that was the friendship between na ji na and tak dong kyung.

#8 - strong girl do bong soon : do bong soon and gyeong shim

i wrote about this in my review of strong girl dbs as well, and the friendship between gyeong shim and dbs was so cool because both women were willing to go to such lengths for each other. one of the lesser-highlighted friendships of kdramas.

#7 - crash course in romance : nam haeng son and kim young joo

it takes a lot to sacrifice your national sports for your friend, and young joo made that sacrifice like a pro. their friendship was so cute, a bit annoying at times, but cute nonetheless. they were there for each through the goods and the bads, and that's all we really ask for.

#6 - lovestruck in the city : lee eun oh, suh rin i and kang geon

why! are! they! not! talked! about! ultimate peak best friendship, no romantic subplots to this gang, absolute delights. everyone should give lovestruck in the city a try.

#5 - twenty five twenty one : the gang

how could i say friendship and not have these people. this gang singlehandedly and platonically had enemies to besties, childhood besties, sunbae besties and just everything. right in the feels.

#4 - weightlifting fairy kim bok joo : the trio + the boys

the 'swag' trio. every time they did the swag thing it made me cringe so bad but they were very cute. the rooftop scene was legit so cute and the addition of the boys was even better. nothing beats these weightlifting girls and we stan.

#3 - extraordinary attorney woo : woo young woo and choi su yeon

this was sosososososo cute. the way su yeon was literally always there for young woo. she couldve easily been a villain, young woo took the guy she had a crush on, was higher in grades and well known. had an influential background. such telltale signs of bad women in kdramas. BUT this amazing person really was so good with young woo and totally spring sunshine su yeon.

#2 - the fabulous - the gang

everyone seems to hate the fabulous. genuinely, come at me. i dont give a shit about cinematic art or marketing strategies or whatever, this is my opinion gonna stick to it. i ADORED the fabulous. their gang was so amazing, the definition of supportive, cute and somehow maintaining that joke around stuff. they had their little pairs in the middle as well, but that didnt take away the overall love. go watch it.

im a recent to hosplay bandwagon, but. i fell in love. finished the (almost) entire show in nearly a week, an achievement considering it's my finals rn. we've got the piggies, buddha who is catholic, the guy who knows everybody and his dad. it was the little things with them for me, really. when they called jeong won andrea like that was so cute. when jun wan called seok hyeong ik jun's dad it made me laugh so much. and the fact that they're really not that close when u think about it but they still are? like that is adult friendships and we love.

I got cyberharrassed by people from my univeristy yesterday on our year's server ... :( basically people were being jerks and playing "jokes" on random people (NOT funny jokes ... like I mean tagging random people and harassing them for homework (which doesn't exist) and accusing their targets of lying when they say they aren't enrolled in the class even when they gave evidence - the poor souls were so confused and concerned) and like just saying shitty stuff about how certain faculties are "useless" and for stupid people ... so I step in and tell them to stop it cause its not funny cause they're all like "its just a joke" ... so when i said that they were like "nah its hella funny" (by they, I mean like 3-4 people are ganging up on me at this point and I couldn't report this to the server mods cause one of them WAS A FREAKING MOD) and then they were like "we should ban you" and were like "I'll bet ur in the stupid people faculty" (which I'm not, but I was so enranged that they kept calling arts a useless stupid faculty so I didn't deny it) and so I excused myself and said "I see I am a minority here [in thinking these things they are doing/saying are unkind and unfunny] so I will leave now" and then they were like "noooooooooo we love minorities" ... "even the bad ones" ... "lmao jk" and then they said "no one likes you go kys" ... so I left the server because I absolutely don't need fucking assholes and worthless losers telling me that :) like. I dont even know theses people. i had a dream thats now canon, to me, i was apart of a crustpunk gang in gotham and we were squatting in a building that looked recently abandoned we figured maybe someone got kicked out by a landlord but then we found the body of who lived there like an old lady who just died was gellifying where she died, and like then a neighbor was at the door asking if she was okay cause she saw more lights on than usual (the lights were on timers) and called the cops on us, like i was sent to deal with the lady while the others got to escape, so i was arrested and it was like they were going to make an example out of me (i knew gordon casually like he was in the dream just a hard working detective and not the commissioner yet but i was like the group’s face to the outside world he’d come around for some underground info, give us raids heads up, bring some essentials to us) he was like if i could pony up some members they might be able to get various bodies off me and i was just like piss in hell about it so then it was like okay we’re going for insanity so you can get into arkham and at this point this was pre-anything going on in arkham other than Upscale Rehabilitation and it was like youd have shelter and healthcare and food and therapy and meds and and i was like you mean the ASYLUM a cage is a cage, man about it and gordon got batman to talk to me like in my holding cell it was legit scary in the dream like a scared straight shadow figure but i didnt give up any names i was scared and softened enough to take the deal and tuck tail to arkham

So does it afect his powers and mayby his behavior or do they stay the same? Or like each time they incounter macaque does it start hurting more or less? Also how do others react to wukong having hanahaki? Will they know why?

And the idea so i myself have this hc that the reason swk left macaque was some what of similar to why he left after mei got the fire and left like maybe at one of the fights the two were at macaque ends up geting badly hurt and wukong realises that macaque could have died just bc he wamted to protect him and then tells macaque that its better if they split up so that mac wouldn't get hurt . But macaque didn't see it as an act of consern and thout wukong thinks that he is weak and then they start fighting at some point the fight becomes physical and then swk almost kills him but then realises what hes doing and steps back and just leaves leaveing macaque to think that wukong lookes down on him and stuff. If you want you can use it

I just for some reason live the idea and want to see how you go with it.

Okay, to start off, thank you so much for reaching out with this ask!!! I am so excited to have people ask me stuff :D!!!

Now, back to business. When I was thinking about this concept I didn't really think much about Wukong himself would change on the surface. Kind of the only difference attitude wise that I was thinking would him being a little more subdued and a little quieter.

Not alarmingly so, just a smidgen. His power would basically be unaffected by it unless he's around Mac, because then it gets harder to suppress the coughing and plants taking root in his lungs.

Basically, if he's around Mac for long periods of time, or kind of lingering on his feelings for him, then his magic has to work harder to try and suppress the hanahaki, making him get drained easier. Again, no drastic differences, but subtle stuff.

You know I gotta keep it subtle to build up to that big dramatic reveal 😂.

As for others, I gotta do a little deep dive into my brain to explain the vibe for this. For this au, I feel like Wukong wouldn't immediately realize that he has hanahaki. Like he legit went like 200 years or something occasionally hacking up flower petals whenever he though of Mac and just kind of went with it/ignored it.

He probably didn't even notice it for a while since his magic was subconsciously full body tackling it. I lowkey feel like he wouldn't really realize what's wrong with him until MK first meets Mac. He sensed his essence or whatever the fuck they do and the hanahaki flared up for the first time in like a century.

After MK left he probably collapsed in a heap as coughs ripped through his throat dragging a fist full of bloody flower petals up his throat. Leaving him confused, scared, and a smidgen concerned.

At that moment he realizes what he has and immediately starts doing everything he can to hide it from everyone. So others probably wouldn't even know. At least not until SWK gets body snatched by LBD. She would probably use it to try and gain leverage in a fight.

Most of the gang would be confused as to what hanahaki is, except Mac and Tang. They know and are very concerned. Mac is very confused because, wtf do you mean SWK has a deadly disease for unrequited love??? How?? When did he fall in lo- IT'S FOR ME?????

Like I said. Dramatic reveals. Ooooooh, but what if no one but Mac knew what it waaassss. If that were the case, then the team would be confused and concerned but probably forget about it during the fight.

I'll have to think more about the reveal and reactions.

Your headcanon is beautiful 😍 That is a very Wukong thing to do. He would spend so long feeling so bad and making it worse by pushing Mac away 🥲 I'm pretty sure that's what actually happened between them. Just some big dumb misunderstanding because they are bad at feelings.

8. Dream Job: pretty much anything to do with art but especially being a full time artist (which is almost impossible i think lol)

Dream Trip: tbh some states in the US just so i could meet and hang out with my friends irl but on a note outside of that i really would like to visit Iceland, maybe Faroe Islands, and maybe go to hometowns of beloved artists like going to norway for edvard munch, france for antonin artaud/jean cocteau, see museums such as the smithsonian in dc, moma in nyc (even though am admittedly not too crazy for the likes of andy warhol and jeff koons lol) , and a plethora of other places i suck at remembering for my love of their traditional colorful architecture (mexico, el salvador, dominican repub., i already visited colombia but it be nice to come back i was rlly young the first time i went) and a lot of different countries in europe (i already went to portugual and italy) due to their religious inspired architecture which im not super fond of religion but i really love observing the art and architecture from big churches down to small chapels, sorry i rambled lmfao.
