Hi all. I had a pretty rough day so far, dealing with what I thought was another reposter. but this person is full-on impersonating me on TikTok, Twitter, and has pasted in my Redbubble page too. (That one is mine but, they've essentially stolen the link)

i truthfully don't know when we started pretending that ace attorney characters (as directed by shu takumi) are poorly written. i feel like there was a true moment when i became inundated with people going "har har silly lawyer game" and acting like this is fucking comparable to cable television-slop and that the only merit of these games is the collectively-hallucinated yaoi. WHAT ABOUT THW WOMEN!!!!!!!! DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT THE WOMEN!!!!! AND IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE FUCKING FEMSLASH!!!!! im not actually in the fandom i just sorta promote the 'they have two hands' mentality anywhere i go. though you have an ivantill au already so ivanluca seems logical. an even spread

jk aside im not really a big fan of the two hands thing, not bc i think ill of poly or smth before anyone puts words in my mouth. i just have a specific storyline/dynamic planned out. also maybe its just me but i also think its not smth they would get to work unless its in a (altho not a polycule at all, just a situation that has the three of them involved in some way) "im using you to get over him but ended up falling for you" kinda way that always fits imo

for context the new season is being partly animated by wildbrain i think. flying bark is still working on the show but probably due to all the other projects they've been working on like the atla movie the animation is off.

its understandable that people are upset. lmk has some of the most consistently dynamic and lively animation ive ever seen, and going from that to ok animation kinda sucks. as a culmination of a lot of what the series has been building up to people were inevitably going to be disappointed

at the same time people shouldnt harass animators. like ever. no amount of trying to petition or anything will change the s5, people are just trying to do their job and theres no probably no major changing to the finished product by now. and theres still a lot of that lmk charm in there, and we haven't even seen the whole season yet to judge it. flying bark is still working on it, and even if the animation never reaches the peak of the old seasons it still has the same writers so at least the writing has the chance to live up old standards. idk though we'll just have to wait and see
