hell yeah i was waiting or someone to ask about it, i love talking about my process >:D

and it's actually not hard at all! my process is all about time/effort optimization and adaptation! its just a fancy way to say i just use shortcuts as long it doesn't affect the final result lolol

anyway im just gonna give you a quick video of how i did it again in less than 10 minutes it because it really is that easy, and a few more specific steps below the cut

1- usually i block the shape into a sketch before i start the curls but as long you know from where to where the hair flows i think that's enough. As you can see, the joke is not actually drawing the full curls but rather an illusion of them.

2- the second layer below is to actually block the proper shape with a darker shade that also gives it depth.

3- for the extra shades i actually use the air brush instead of going curl-by-curl bc a) makes my life easier and b) it gives it a cleaner look to the coloring(?)

4- Extra: shadows and highlights! for these ones i also use both airbrush and crunchy brush. Normal brush for the details and shadows in the darkest parts and airbrush to give it a little something™

Plain -> Highlights (+airbrushed soft shadows) -> Celshading

of course since the whole hair is on a separated folder/layers and the actual lineart has to be below the hair to make it work, there is a chance that you'll have to add another layer below everything in case you have transparent spots peeking out lol

oh i personally leave the eye's lineart above everything so they don't end up hidden behind the hair

anyway, just to be clear, i'm not an expert in this kind of hair and i recently discovered this method for this commission in specific. Thankyou for your atention!

ooh Orion would probably be great at gift-giving, but she does it very rarely. I think fae consider giving gifts uncouth at best* so it's not her first inclination, but yeah if she decided to do it she'd look for something she knows would be meaningful/relevant to their interests and personalize it in some way on top of that. you better believe if she's going to do something it's going to be over the top

*fae are all about social contracts and interpersonal debts, so giving a gift without expecting something in return is like walking up to someone and saying, "I do not want to be friends with you." fortunately Orion has assimilated into human society well enough to know that they fucking love it when you do that

ohohoho okay so, Orion has wanted to become human for ~20 years because of the death of her human lover. she has deliberately gotten herself stuck and refuses to let herself grieve + move forward

but she's just about reached a breaking point. you can't dwell in grief and loss forever, eventually something has to give. so deep down, part of her wants to just let it go and move on, but she's terrified of doing so because she doesn't know what else to do with herself

she's also desperate for intimacy and love/acceptance, but she can't bear the thought of another loss, so she either pushes people away or holds them so tightly they get sick of it and leave on their own. these are not feelings I can relate to or have drawn from any experiences btw

I am so proud of what I've come up with for Orion's family! so he has 3 parents - Aries, Fornax, and Lacerta. yes their family members must always be named after constellations. he probably has a couple grandparents floating around, but he's never met them, and no siblings. his parents were his whole world growing up. I could write essays about each of them, suffice to say they are very loving but Aries and Fornax just can't understand why she's all hung up on non-fae people, Lacerta is more supportive but also has a more hands-off approach to parenting

As your narrator, I am being completely objective when I say this guy looks like a mess.

He is the spiritual equivalent of a reject novelty popsicle. He looks as if he were a single piece of gum a schoolkid has tried to stretch from one side of the room to the other. If I had to speculate on his home life from body language alone, I'd wager his bloodline was cursed by a wizard centuries ago to be swarmed by seagulls any time they ate outside, and even though those birds have pursued him his whole life, the time between attacks is just long enough for him to forget and get his hopes up again whenever he smells fish and chips.

Let’s start with Pitchfork Kids! Absolute classic, absolute banger, delightfully weird in the way that reminds me why I love AJR. The song of their first album that stayed the longest on my playlist and the one that I always get back to being obsessed with whenever I listen to it. I don’t know what it is about this song. I don’t even think it’s one of their most relatable songs, probably not even one of their weirdest songs, it’s just... soooooo good tho. Legit one of THE AJR songs of all time. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. They’ll never be able to produce a song that hits the same buttons Pitchfork Kids does. No one will be able to, it just holds such a special place in my heart and my brain.

Role Models. This always hits even harder listening to it after Woody Allen like I’m doing today (no one can tell me it’s not a direct sequel to that song, this is 100% partly about Woody Allen). The disillusionment of realising your (childhood) heroes are not who you thought you were. Your heroes letting you down is suuuch an experience of growing up. They’re not just heroes, but they are actual people and honestly, some of these people suck. The struggle of taking what your heroes gave you while leaving the people behind that gave it to you. To what extent can you separate the art from the artist? How do you go on, knowing the influence this person’s art had on your life, on the person you are today and the decisions you’ve made? How do you become okay with you having been shaped by something made by a person you so fundamentally disagree with? How do you keep that part alive while killing the part that is attached to that person? (I’m trying really hard not to write an essay but it’s not turning out so well)

3 O’Clock Things. Look. This song is ace. I don’t make the rules.

Way Less Sad. I haven’t seen a single person yet who didn’t think this song was super optimistic, but also kind of thought that was weird of themselves to think. It’s an “This is not happy, so it can’t be the ending” optimism. I don’t know if we’re just all not okay, or if it’s not actually all that weird to think it’s an optimistic song, but this song came out in February 2021. That’s what we were in. Stuff sucked. It still does. But we are, in fact, not dead yet, and I personally think it’s very sexy of us to hold on to hope. We’re not done yet. Things will get better. They just will. It feels a little like spite, and I’m okay with that. This song makes me want to go out and change my life for the better

Birthday Party. There’s always been some social commentary in their music, and while this isn’t even the most obvious one (looking at you 3 O’Clock Things), it’s just so delightfully ironic about it. Look, Role Models doesn’t hit for no reason. This song always felt like a promise to me. We won’t be them. I remember seeing a post on Instagram around the time about how people were apparently complaining that they shouldn’t get political in their songs and I always thought “who the hell did you think you were listening to?” AJR’s songs have always been about growing up, and while there is the things about how to navigate relationships with other people, looking at the state of the world and building opinions on it has always been part of growing up too. This song is about the innocence of a child who will find out about all the horrible things going on in the world at some point, and I, for one, find that incredibly relatable.

Writing skill or an interesting fucking plot? Ft the queen Margaret Atwood

I read the Handmaids tale for my gr 12 final (which was on my tbr for a while) and it low key sucked 🧍

Don't cancel me, the book wasn't b a d, I think it wasn't as good as it could've been.

The book felt dead. After I read it my mom was like "so what was it about" and im like gurl idek. There is no plot to summarize. It was a 300 page "day in the life" of a Handmaid (ig that's literally the title of the book-).

But you know how in grade three you learn the story arch with the conflict-climax-resolution? Atwood didn't follow that, (and I'm all for ditching rules for artistique purposes) but in this case it didn't do anything for the story.

Offred was right at the climax point, right in the smack of that dab, but because the entire book was at the same level of stakes, there was no stimulation and it fell flat.

Now ik we do get Offreds flashbacks, but I don't think they fully made the reader feel what we were supposed to. That contrast (between Gilead and the "before") that's supposed to intrigue us wasn't shown in an effective way. The mix of present (that was actually past because it was a tale, a retelling?) and the flashbacks just made things confusing. There were a couple times i was like, wait where are we actually? Where is offred physically rn??

That story arch is still in mind within the story, but it wasn't illustrated that clearly. It was like a faint idea behind the writing that didn't quite make it into the actual writing. (However this does show how good of an author Atwood is). The story telling was unorganized. It came off as a lot of yapping (listen I love yapping) but Atwood was writing to the point where the words lost their meaning. (Remember that this is all opinion guys. See side note from me is, poetic wordy classic writing is great, but when it's used properly. Writing like that is supposed to be a punch, it's supposed stand out. When you pull that move too much, it becomes dull and no longer strikes the reader. [Just like how the plot is so much climax that its dull too])

And this us where you could say the lack of order was supposed to represent Offred's state of mind and life and how out of control things became (and i'll say thats a totally valid point)

She coulve written about offered running away, her child getting stolen, and making it through the red centre whatever, and you would seen that increase, change and danger in her life.

The problem is Atwood has an INSANELY good plot. The world building was so good, and her characters were so complex and fleshed out. As a professional author 🤓☝️ I can tell so much thinking went in to building Gilead. But then she just didn't indulge as much as she could've.

She literally didn't do her own story justice.

See falling short on a movie coming from a book I understand, because they lose things all the time, but falling short on the book itself in the first place? The story had so much potential 😭.

When i was reading I think there were multiple parts where I thought she was making a point, but then she never reinforced it. Like she forgot talking abt that, she started an idea and never finished. (Again I'm sure some of y'all love that kind of writing, and love coming to your own conclusions on what the piece means). An example was early on in the book Offred talks about the white caps the handmaids wear, and how it blinds them and "it’s hard to look up, hard to get the full view, of the sky, of anything.” (34). And I was like Atwood better use this line, this better mean something later on for their character development. But then shE DIDNT, and it became more word fluff. If the book went on to have the handmaids look up, look at the sky, with optimism and hope, to get the full view and see how Gilead was corrupted, that shit would've been SO GOOD.

That's the level of shaping a tale i was expecting and I didn't get it.

Atwoods writing is very good. My teacher said shes very showy, hes right, she exploits how well she works with words, (which doeesnt always turn out to be a good thing, because she gets carried away). She's a yapper. I understand you have skill, can you direct it to the plot please? (/lightheartedly)

Someone asked bad writing + good story or good writing + bad story. I am would rather take bad writing + good story and I think this is an example of good writing + bad story

So as an author I think yes it's a very strong novel and writing. But as a reader I was so bored 😭. Atwood is a GREAT author and the Handmaids tale was a GREAT plot, I just didn't like the way she wrote it.

I've mostly awnsered the organs one from the other asks so I'll get straight to the manipulation of Krang slime.

So, from what i think (aka my own relatively uneducated guess) the Krang's cells are like extremely efficient stem cells, they can differenciate into any type of cell that is needed to complete any task that is needed by the being.

This would be why the Krang is a naturally goop-ish substance, it can mould and change to be any shape (like forced osmosis). But like we see in the movie, Krang slime can also harden at the will of the being.

However, during Techna's transformation (aka the act of mitosis when she formed a little child krang turtle) the Krang cells combining with the mutant turtle DNA forced the cells to permanently differenciate in order to follow the 'biological blueprints' of a mutant turtle body.

So in short, typical Krang cells can move and change states/shape at will, but Techna's cells can't do that anymore.

However (for the second time) and this is where it gets exciting.

Okay so Techna's cells dont have the ability to re-specialise anymore right? Well... That isn't as impossible as everyone once thought.

Under the pressure of an ultrasonic frequency, Techna's cells regain the ability to shift and change. It basically kicks the Krang side of her into overdrive and allows her to create for example weapons of her flesh.

This could also effect her mind, obviously the process of devolving half into a Krang monster would be very traumatic. But her mind is Krang too, she wont be herself.

But no fear! The foot know what they are doing- i mean what did i say? No nothing about the foot clan whateverdoyoumean

Luang Phor Im was born on June 1, BE 2506 in the reign of King Mongkut (King Rama IV) of Bangkok. Luang Phor Im ordained as Buddhist monk around BE 2526 (CE 1983). Luang Phor Im spent his early monkhood on pilgrimage, and later stopped at Hua Khao, Doem Bang Nang Buat District, Suphan Buri Province. Luang Phor Im loved this area and decided to have his own monastery there. The villagers supported the idea of Luang Phor Im and helped Luang Phor Im to build the Wat Hua Khao temple, and Luang Phor Im was the first abbot of Wat Hua Khao. Luang Phor Im was a Saha Thammik (an alliance of the same Buddhist path), and Looksit (disciple) of the Holy Luang Phu Suk of Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao, and Luang Phor Im was master (teacher) of Luang Phor Mui of Wat Don Rai, Luang Phor Pui of Wat Koh, Luang Phu Kaak of Wat Hua Khao, Luang Phor Song of Wat Sala Din, and Luang Phor Im was highly respected by Luang Phor Parn of Wat Bang Nom Kho  (Wat Bang Nom Kho Pan Uthit)

Luang Phor Im of Wat Hua Khao passed away in BE 2480 (CE 1937) at the age of 74.

The Subway was running optimally. Emmet had been convinced to start seeing a professional about his remaining fears and anxieties, those little needle-like thoughts that Ingo knew dug at him where Ingo could not remove them. Emmet had insisted that if he saw someone, Ingo would see someone professionally, too. He had to admit, it was nice to regularly speak to someone outside of his normal circle and the Subway.

They had also been convinced to take more days off every week, now taking a whole three days some weeks rather than one. Elesa was primarily responsible for that. Neither wanted to admit it, because they truly loved their job, but it was rather nice to just lay around at home or travel. Together.

The brothers currently sat in the park in Nimbasa City, a blanket spread out below them. Ingo laid out on the grass, his leg carefully covered as he blinked in the sunlight. It was pleasantly warm. Emmet was sitting back, his palms resting against the ground as he leaned his face up, towards the sun, smiling. They were both quiet. Pokemon rustled in the nearby trees, some Pidove searching for scraps. A Trubbish had taken up residence by one of the trash cans, joyfully taking any garbage that the park goers had to toss. Some children played nearby with their Pokemon, their parents on nearby benches watching them. A jogger swept past on the sidewalk, his Sawsbuck keeping pace with him, braying.

Ingo felt a hand ruffle through his hair. He glanced over at Emmet. His twin was beaming at him, his face brighter than the midday sun. Ingo could feel a soft smile pulling at his lips. “Are you alright, Emmet?”

“Yes. It is peaceful. You are smiling again.”

“I am happy. Are you happy?”

“Yes. Verrry happy.”

Emmet continued running his hand through Ingo’s hair as they grew quiet again, basking in the sun. They needed to do this more often, Ingo decided. Emmet was entirely too pale.

Chandelure and Eelektross were not far from them. In fact, Eelektross had curled itself around Emmet, settling on the ground and soaking in the sun, as well. Chandelure floated just above the brother’s heads, swaying softly in the breeze. The Hisuian Sneasel, almost ready to evolve now, had laid between the two brothers, purring happily in their company. The four of them were content.

“Uncle Ingo! Uncle Emmet!” Ingo lifted his head slightly, trying to find who was calling them. There weren’t exactly many options. Emmet looked up too, spotting someone and waving enthusiastically at them. Sneasel popped up, tilting her head at the newcomer. Footsteps rapidly approached them. Ingo swung his head, spotting a young boy wearing a red cap and more modern clothing than Ingo remembered. Ingo sat up, both brothers taking the human-shaped bullet to their chests with a laugh. “It’s been forever since I saw you last! So much happened in Hisui since you left, Ingo, and I managed to come home and I remembered things about myself! I met up with my mom again! And I found all these cool Pokemon, I’ve been waiting to tell you about them! Wait, how did you get a Hisuian Sneasel? I didn’t think you brough one back with you?”

Ingo chuckled as the Pokemon resituated, making room on the blanket for Rei. “Well, lucky for you, we have a day off today. We have been making some changes as well, if you are interested in hearing them. The Sneasel is a long story as well.”

“Woah, what’s up with your eye? It looks good as new!”

Emmet grinned as Ingo spoke, “It is robotic. I went to Galar and they implanted a bionic eye and even matched the coloration to my old one. Not many people know I was missing one to begin with. I can see perfectly with both eyes now.”

Rei’s mouth dropped, his smile widening. “That is so cool!! Has anything new happened with your foot? Or do you still have that same one from the last time I saw you?” The Sneasel had stood now, watching the boy with interest. Rei reached out a hand for her to grasp, which she took in her claws and investigated.

“I use the same prosthetics, most people still do not know I am missing a limb. However, Elesa recently learned what material the compression socks I use are made of and has been giving me extras. They are patterned.”

“They have trains on them!” Emmet added. The boy laughed.

“That sounds on-par for you guys, really. Are you back and running the Subway?”

“Yes, I am manning my Singles Line again. Elesa insists we take more than one day off a week and we have been spending more time with Iris and Drayden, our cousin and uncle. Iris is the Champion of Unova currently and Drayden runs the Dragon-type gym.”

“Well, I am staying in Nimbasa for a couple days! I want to meet them, they sound super cool!” Ingo patted the boy’s shoulder. “I want to hear about how you got this Sneasel, too. That sounds like a cool story.”

“We have as much time as we would like. We arranged for Elesa to come meet us for dinner this evening, and as our guest, you are more than welcome to join. Now, how about telling us about these other destinations and Pokemon you found to accompany you? Maybe we could meet.”

And so the group sat out in the park, the boy excitedly leading them through his misadventures in Hisui. Ingo leaned his head on Emmet’s shoulder, listening intently to the boy. Sneasel clambered into his lap, curling up as Ingo began stroking her, making her purr. The other two Pokemon crowded in as well, listening to Rei. The breeze blew their hair softly, the sun making them warm.

Ingo was home again.

Beach Days with The Genshin Characters!

CW: umm nothing except mentions of alcohol and maybe people being creeps? (None of the chars or you tho it’s very brief)

A/N: HI IM BACK FROM THE DEAD! These were supposed to be a lot shorter but I got too excited. If you by any chance wanna see some for your fav character lmk! I know it says request are closed in my bio but since it’s just hcs it’s a lot less (and I really enjoyed writing these so ajdhdhdk)

🔥Diluc:

This man cannot swim. Tell me otherwise, I dare you.

Kaeya tried to jokingly push him off a lil diving cliff area when they were kids.

He almost drowned. Kaeya was in a lot of trouble.

So, good luck getting this man to actually get in the water. The most he’ll do is sit on the shore where it’s very shallow.

He usually prefers to just stay under an umbrella on the sand and keep an eye on you.

Calls you every two hours in advance and helps you reapply sunscreen.

He’s very pale so I feel like he burns pretty easily, meaning he needs to reapply super frequently otherwise he will become a tomato. He brings like three bottles of the good shit. Tch, rich boy.

If you ask him to build a sandcastle, he will pretend to be annoyed but do it anyways. Ends up finding it kind of enjoyable.

He has the maids prepare a nice picnic basket for the two of you!! It’s got all your favorite foods plus grape juice cuz y’know.

If any creepy peeps approach you, don’t worry. He brought his vision and his claymore.

Of course, he won’t have to resort to such violent lengths. Everyone in Mondstadt knows who Diluc is and they probably know you’re his s/o, so they’re usually smart enough to mind their own business.

If they don’t, don’t worry. Diluc’s glare is more than enough to scare them away.

All in all I definitely recommend a beach day with him! I’ll give it a solid 8/10 (-2 for not wearing floaties and getting in the water with you or letting you teach him how to swim.

🖌Albedo:

You guys definitely 100% take Klee out with you on a beach day.

You guys bring snacks, beach toys like buckets and shovels for optimal sandcastle building, a picnic blanket, etc.

Jean definitely packs a lot more stuff for you guys to take with you than you actually need.

It’s only cuz she’s worried for Klee and is nervous about not being able to go with you guys though! It’s very sweet really.

Klee tries to bomb the fish and cause havoc at the beach 😭

I think Albedo is a good swimmer and gets in with you and Klee so that he can help her (which is very cute omfg)

He’s set total workaholic, as we know, so it took a lot of convincing to get him to put down his experiments and accompany you to the beach (however, he’s particularly weak to yours and klee’s puppy dog eyes so he caved eventually)

Though, looking at you and Klee happily building sandcastles and decorating them with pretty seashells of all shapes and colors, he can’t really find it in himself to complain.

He, of course, takes this opportunity to take out his sketchbook and draw the waves, seagulls, you… Of course he won’t let you see the sketch book no sir. He’s a bit embarrassed to be honest, but an artist such as himself recognizes beauty when he sees it so he simply had to draw you. (God I love him so much)

If a creepy person approaches you,- well don’t worry. The sight of a small arsonist child blowing up fish is enough to scare them away 🥰

At the end of the day, all three of you are all ticketed out. Albedo has to carry Klee back to Mondstadt because the poor baby fell asleep the moment you started drying her hair with the beach towel. You’re, of course, carrying back Dodoco and your bags. (You also manage to sneak a peak at Albedo’s sketchbook and find some very pretty drawings of you and Klee with your sandcastle)

At the end of the day, you guys tuck Klee in and read her a bedtime story (she woke up and insisted). Afterwards Albedo takes you back home and thanks you for coming with you and Klee (which you ofc say wasn’t a problem because how could you not???)

All in all? I’ll give it a solid 10/10. You’ve got tasty food, fun times, your boyfriend and his cute kid adoptive sister (yes I am very biased idc)

🦋Xiao:

I think it would take a lot of convincing to get Xiao to go out on a beach date with you.

He’ll probably see it as a distraction getting in the way of his slaying of monsters and demons.

However, he also worships the grounds you walk on (hehe, simp XD), so I don’t think it’ll take that much convincing on your part (especially because it’s is self appointed duty to keep you safe so if you insist on going with or without him, he supposes he’ll have to go)

Is definitely a bit tense at first. He doesn’t know how to let loose and chill so while you’re sun tanning on a beach chair he’s like 🧍‍♂️ahdgshjsjd

Eventually calms down a bit though! You get him to relax and eat some almond tofu you brought along with you. It definitely gets him to perk up.

I don’t think he would mind getting into the water but I do think he’d rather walk along the shore and collect pretty seashells and sea glass.

He later gives the ones he deems pretties to you (he hands them over to you with a blush on his face and pretends it’s not a big deal and he definitely gets all pouty and grouchy when you coo at how adorable he is)

As for creeps, Xiao is both intimidating and well known in Liyue. No one is brave enough (or, let’s be honest, dumb enough) to approach you with any bad intentions.

Sure, Xiao has sworn never to harm a human/citizen of Liyue but that doesn’t mean he can’t scare the absolute shit out of them.

I think Xiao would definitely enjoy a beach day 🥺🥺. He’d find it very relaxing to go out with you and just hear the sound of waves and feel the sand under his feet.

He’d definitely hint at wanting to do it again later. Of course, he won’t tell you. No, that’s a foolish mortal activity and he has much better things to do.

Wait no, don't turn around, yes he will go with you next month.

All in all, I give Xiao a 9/10. It’s a very relaxing day (which he deserves 😤). And you get to see a whole new side of him.

OK SO ORIGINALLY I WASN'T GONNA WRITE ONE FOR HER (at least not in this post) BUT THEN I THOUGHT OF LADY NINGGUANG TAKING YOU TO A WHOLE ASS PRIVATE BEACH

She knows you don’t care about how exclusive the beach you go to is (in fact, the fact that you don’t care about where you are or what you do is one of the things that make her fall more and more madly in love with you) but you deserve the best so she’s gonna go all out.

She’s a busy lady so days like this where the two of you get to go somewhere and be together are few and far between.

She knows it’s hard to be in a relationship with someone who is busy 24/7, so she appreciates how you remain by her side despite all hardships. (Y’all are a whole ass power couple istg)

The two of you spend your day relaxing. Sun bathing, drinking piña coladas, maybe taking a dip in the ocean. It’s all very pleasant!

Ningguang doesn’t quite feel like the type of person who would sit in the sand and make sandcastle, however you’re more than welcome to make some yourself. She finds it endearing <3

If you insist on her helping, she’ll eventually comply. She loves you too much to say no. I feel like she’ll either be terrible at it or like a total architect.

Sand is technically like tiny rocks right? So maybe she can use her vision to help her? If that’s the case, she’s making a replica of the Jade chamber out of sand.

If any creepy person comes up to you don’t worry. Ningguang will buy the whole beach and then use her right of admission as owner to permanently ban them from the beach you’re at.

The only downside to a day at the beach with Ningguang might be that there’s a big chance she’ll be called to tend urgent matters, seeing as she is the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing and all.

If that does happen, she’ll be sure to make it up to you somehow, whether it be rescheduling or taking care of the matter as soon as possible so that the two of you can get back to your day of relaxation and fun.

All in all?? Lady Ningguang will treat you like total royalty and the two of you will have an amazing time! I give her an 11/10 (she would literally buy a whole beach for you to be comfortable I mean c’mon)

Swimming? Yeah, he’d love to! Sunbathing? Sure! He’ll ever conjure up a light breeze for the two of you. Sandcastle building? WELL OF COURSE WHY DO YOU THING HE BROUGHT ALL THESE BUCKETS AND SHOVELS?

No but seriously, he might be the best person out of everyone here to go to the beach with. He’s fun, free spirited, and he’s a traveling bard who’s been alive long enough to know where all the best beaches in Teyvat are. (He also knows a guy- er, well, dragon I suppose- who is willing to fly them to any place).

He’ll play some soft tunes while you doze under the sun.

HE PICKS PRETTY SHELLS AND GIFTS THEM TO YOU!!!

He will bring booze. I’m pretty sure this is a necessity. If you’re a little upset about it, he’ll probably “eheh~” his way out of it. That slick bastard.

If you really insist on him not drinking, he won’t consume much alcohol.

If some creepy person approaches you and tries to ruin you your day of beach time fun, all of their stuff will suddenly be blown away, causing them to scramble back to their spot and (almost embarrassingly) flail around trying to catch everything. What a shame…

At the end of the day, he’d be a little sad to leave. Definitely makes plans about tbe two of you going back soon.

originally love was tall because i wanted a tall asian lady, but alas. also i thought she was older (the shock when you find out she doesnt know the foundation's reputation for death o-o). you can see her design got a little more soft and energetic to reflect the show's hints that she's like, around 20 or something. i love her <3

love's hair is based on like, my personal experience with having long shiny asian hair. HAIRTIES DONT STAY. every day it would just slip down slightly and make that stupid muchroom shape lmao.

also hair is SUPER IMPORTANT in a lot of asian culture, even in modern day, so long hair bc she's close to her family and still figuring out how to be independent and stuff. also it just looks nice on her, i think she can kick ass with long hair

I never actually decided on a specific background for lanc deeper than "Asian", maybe Laos on his dad's side? but I like to think he's pretty americanized (like me lol), so it's not something he thinks about too much.

i honestly don't have much to say on lanc? his design has changed the least, tho i draw him with stubble more often now. also i super project onto him lmao

Klein is white.

her design was based on my boss at the time (and one of my coworkers), who was super charismatic and has a perfect mix of optimism and exhaustion, and who was also fat, and no less wonderful of a person for it. i think a lot of fandoms have a culture of fatphobia (coughmcytcought) and i want to encourage fat characters and designs in our fandom, because hey! we exist!

klein is also the hottest character in FUA

i keep forgetting her scars hfdjkhfd, but yeah she seems reckless enough to have shit blow up in her face (the singing rock that was basically a sound grenade, anyone?) and shes been part of the foundation for awhile
