I feel like I’m at my wit’s end.

I’m trying incredibly hard to “get back into the rhythm” of things. I keep telling myself “i just need to get organized” have a schedule and I’ll be okay. I can’t do it.

I have no work life balance.

I quit my main job at the lab and am close to quitting my other lab position. Even with work out of the way, I feel like I’m being consumed by my schoolwork. (I dont even want to start thinking about how I’m going to make ends meet).

A fucking endless cycle of assignments that wont go away. The canvas notifications are starting to drive me insane. I get paralysis and cannot for the life of me complete simple assignments. And when I do miss them or small points it kills me a little inside since I’m a perfectionist (bullshit, I’m a fucken mess). I’m just tired of my one class because of all busy work and I cannot focus on my other more demanding class (ochem2).

My brain is trying so hard to conserve energy and stop me from what it thinks is a waste of time. I feel so exhausted all the time because of it.

I’m most likely overthinking but I’m just so sleep deprived I can barely function. My GI issues started up again too, woo! So that’s always fun to add to the mix.

I get sick, my stomach cannot hold down food, i eat very little. I have no appetite but i have to eat something. I wake up in the middle of the night with hunger pains and refuse to eat because I want to go back to sleep but can’t because of the pain.

I probably get 4 hours of sleep a night. I’ve been dying to have 6-7. i usually manage 5, if im lucky 6hrs, but it’s never full sleep. I always wake up in the middle.

I’ve stopped smoking to clear my head a bit but it’s not enough. I feel like a fucking nervous chihuahua. I feel like a leaf, shaking and about to fall off a tree. I hate feeling like this. This isnt me.

I hate what all of this does to me. I feel horrible. I dont wash my hair. My eye bags are as big as my eyes. There’s nothing I want more than to heal my body and feel better but I cannot take care of myself. I want to exercise but I have to stay in and do assignments. fml.

I don’t want my mental or physical health to get worse but I really feel like I’m slipping. I’m trying so hard, but it feels like I’m barely doing one thing a day. I feel insane.

But ya. It just feels like an endless cycle of trying to catch up.

My menthal health affects my physical and vice versa. I get mentally ill, i become physically ill as a response and it just makes me feel mentally worse and it spirals. Awesomesauce!

Uhm uh uh...I have no excuse for this 😔 PPG self insert who is secretly an alien! I imagine her intro episode would have her having a little romance with the professor when he comes into a bookstore she works at/owns and the girls being (rightfully, given the prof's dating history) suspicious of her. Wacky capers ensue where they try to prove that she's up to no good, only to find that she genuinely is just chilling and wants to live a normal life on earth!

Well, normal as she can, now that she knows this family! I think she'd fit right in 😉

If you were to make Mangey and Sails into Sanses who would they be

Ok so, originally, I was going for something fancier, cuz my extremely vague memory of either Oceantale or Piratetale said sans and papyrus have absolutely banger designs, but then I stumbled upon this thing when searching for it and well.

What can I say, he looks pretty chill!! And Sails' overall vibe fits it, I thinks (I mean come on. Undersail. UnderSAILS isn't that just perfect. That's literally perfect.) Didn't draw his mechanical hand cuz I just didn't want to tbh

Mangey though, he very much Is covered ear to tails with blood that's mostly not his!! That is to say blood, gore and cannibalism tw (talk abt a tonal whiplash lmao)

So, Horrortale by @/sour-apple-studios. A post neutral timeline in Undertale leaves the underground without its king and so the head of the royal guards takes the crown in hopes of giving some lost order to the people, but uh ohs!! (I belive) the Core malfunctions (or blows up I dedass just forgor) and the monsters are left without energy or means to create food.

Which means they either have to starve or... eat each other, in order to survive.

I was meaning to do that silly little sails thing first as a warmup and than create Mangey cuz I had a vague idea of what kinda creature I want him to be, but when does art do what you tell it to. mf sprung to life and now he looks like, that.

Some tiny design notes, for which I kept the lineart around, since I feel like the color washed out some finer details.

He is indeed skin and bone and a lot, and I mean a lot of fluff to hide that, cuz I though it would be a cul contrast. And he's not wearing and eyepatch, it's just that he also got a few slashes with a spear to the face(for different reasons that Horror did.) As such he's missing both his right eye and left ear, his food can get a little... feisty. The axe is something he made himself as retaliation and yes, it has a serated edge on both sides. And bandages cuz I didn't feel like drawing his gloves lmao

Also!! Like any normal person, I did wonder just how bad would it get, if it could get that bad in the jungle, who would be the one to survive the longest if seemingly the only option for the scavengers was to cannibalize each other. My heart says Mangey because he very much Is a crafty little fox willing to bite and scratch for a single berry.

Although I don't really have a clear answer. First and foremost I think they'd most likely have a last ditch effort to kill Thorn or something before fully turning on each other. If so, then each has their own advantage of either flight, agility or strenght so its really up in the air to who would be the most likely to survive. Buuut Mangey could be smart about it and just snatch them while they're asleep, alas I don't think he really would. He's still baby and would think good fifty times before hurting anybody for real, much less kill and well, eat them. Those were his friends, his family. Prim is tbh more likely to throw her colleagues in the meat grinder I think. So if Mangey was, say, pushed to self defense than perhaps...

Either way he IS going to die from a blood infection if he doesn't clean up that eye soon though!! Yeowch...

He only mentioned the parts that wouldn’t dredge up sadness, until a few months after, once he finally started to open up. Telemachus didn’t push him though, he heard the full story already, and he knew if he was the one who experienced that, he would be just as broken.

i also like the way eurys forgiveness of sorts factors into menes acceptance? like honestly i think shes going to need some time to recover form the revelation of the past 20 years, maybe the wont speak much after their initial embrace, but one day, after a family dinner they hold hands during their evening walk and an unspoken sense of closure finally envelopes them like the scent of the night blooming flowers. perhaps..

unrelated but i adore the idea of mene being a foodie like eury lmao. they are the couple that cook and bake for and with each other, always trying new snacks and recipies togehter and what have you 🥺

i adore my beloved @notsolonedesert's lil eurymene art where mene comforts eury saying he did what he thought was best, and i love that while they may have disagreed in life about it or argued or whatever, the love they shared was every bit as stronk and faithful and eternal and all encompassing as odypens if not moreso. mene knows she cant change what happened and eury knows it too, yet they embrace just as lovingly as they did on the shores of ithaca where they held each other last.
