I think it is because of the spawn killing, a universally reviled move in these kinds of games? The weird beef I mean. With Tubbo and Bad. Also they probably didn't like the attacks being so often, it got pretty annoying.

This a pvp competition with infinite respawns, and killing other players gains point. There was no rules and every single team was being ‘bm’, they were directly told to do whatever it takes to win and they all played into it. I have played in comps like this before I have been the one targeted, often my team almost fully disconnects before battle, it can be hard and frustrating from a player perspective but thats the game thats how you play.

If you as a VIEWER can not take a no holds bar pvp competetion then you shouldn’t be watching it, thats final. You should not be begging and pleading for other players to think of your guys, it is a competition. There at no point should be tweets or posts about how blah blah blah team was being annoying and bm at that point you shouldn’t have be watching at all.

You are allowed to be annoyed/frustrated but once you get to the im going to make a tweet/post hating on tubbo and bad, then you should have left hours ago. It is minecraft, get over yourselves.

this is mostly gonna be a first draft ramble, specifically about kieran. most of this is subject to change at any time.

second disclaimer: this is also a really self indulgent au haha. im mostly listening to my pussy while writing this whole au. im doing stuff that appeals solely to me. it might not make the most sense to you, but there is an easy explanation for every decision i make, writing wise. just ask and i can explain things!!

this post covers only her happier, sweeter ending, as i realized while writing that this alone is so fucking much to read haha. part 2 will be linked here once its out.

Some of these explainations are simple. Sometimes, it's as simple as making the bullet graze the area rather than pierce. Sometimes, I've been thinking for so long and have still been stuck. Sometimes I just change the way the dynamics work out.

Hiii okay so! Basically, the idea with this AU is that the entire gang does live, but the VDL gang crumbles all the same regardless. Yes. Everyone lives. I have been brainstorming for weeks to try and figure out ways the dead members can still go through the events of canon while living.

This, of course, means the final standoff is a lot more tense, and has a lot more peoples emotions involved, and this also means everyone lives until the events of RDR1!

This is not a good thing.

Many of the gang members find themselves stuck in the cycle of poverty, abuse, and violence still, by 1911. Not everyone is as fortunate as John, Abigail, and Jack Marston, or the Reverend, or Tilly. Not everyone wants the same redemption as John, either.

Due to this, John must hunt down all of his family. All of it. At least, those the law and public recognize as members of the gang.

Perhaps the cracks of the gang being destabilized started when John first left. Perhaps he can also push the gang back together for one last hoorah.

Obviously, Kieran still lets Jack out of her sight, he still gets kidnapped, they still bring him back for his party, and she still gets drunk, and nobody notices her initially wander off. This all remains the same.

As for Kieran herself, and her death, I've actually thrown together a couple ways I'd be happy with her story concluding. Unfortunately, I cannot decide which I like better! So, I decided to pull a Dutch, and make Arthur (the player) be able to decide her fate. As with most things in the game, the choices will give Arthur an honor loss, or boost! They both have the same setup, however.

Where I start changing the story, however, is that people do eventually notice her disappearance. Due to her slowly being welcomed into the gang, and very clearly forming some actual bonds and relationships, people do start to search her out. Bill, Mary-Beth, and Sean all begin to worry about her location some time into the party.

It begins by Bill being shamed or outcast in some way. He goes to bug Kieran about it, though struggles to find her anywhere nearby. He awkwardly shuffles to Mary-Beth, knowing the slight romance thats bloomed between her and Kieran, asking if she's seen the guy around. The concern begins to mount when she says, "I thought he was with you," and her brows begin to worry.

This is where Sean butts in. He's been recovering from a head wound, don't worry about it, so his role during the party has mostly been that of an observing drinker. He points out that he saw Kieran drunkenly wander towards the woods, though she disappeared from his sight behind the manor. "I just figured he went to piss! Honest! He has been gone... a long time, though."

By this point, Bill has had enough. He marches up to Dutch and explains the situation, how Kieran is gone in the woods and he knows there are O'Driscolls in those woods, Kieran has been acting paranoid about getting captured by her old gang nearly this whole time, and things are going more and more downhill for the gang. Bill is loud. He always pulls attention to himself.

Dutch responds by dismissing the worries— Kieran is strong, she can handle herself. She went and saved Arthur's life, after all. Sean said she only went to take a leak, right? Why are you, Bill, trying to ruin Jack's party? How could you be so heartless as to make everything about you? A young boy has been saved, you should be celebrating.

I am certain Kieran's loyalty would mean nothing to Dutch by now. He's simply too blinded by the blood fued between his and Colm's gang. Dutch van der Linde is, also, not an idiot. As much as I call him stupid, I doubt he even believes Kieran's insistence that she didn't run with Colm long, or didn't care for him. Dutch knows Colm. He knows the grip Colm has over his flock, the same Dutch has over his own. He believes that, one way or another, Kieran would remain an O'Driscoll, unless he gets to kill Colm himself.

Bill struggles to articulate himself— Why he's worried, why he thinks that they need to be heading out there now, that he's got this awful feeling in his gut, and some people are starting to get worried. Dutch shushes this all, spinning the dialogue in circles and attempting to get Bill to dismiss his own worries as well. If she hasn't come back by now, and there are O'Driscolls in the woods, she probably ran off with them. Use your head, Williamson.

Dutch let Kieran in initially because of his whole "feed people as need feeding" speech to her. He can't go back on that word at first, when people would bring it up. By Jack's party, I doubt anyone even really remembers it but Kieran. There is no reason to keep her around, to keep up those optics, in Dutch's eyes. She has barely been pulling in money and all she does is tend to the horses and take up more resources, no matter how little. Not many people in the gang like her even if they are warming up to her.

Bill, understandably, gets frustrated with this. Gives up, says he ain't even enjoying the party anyway. He's gonna go look for Kieran. Sean and Mary-Beth cannot follow him. Dutch invites Bill to, "be his guest."

This is where player choice is involved. This entire interaction is missable, if you want to miss it. Regardless of Arthur's involvement, Bill will go to the woods to look for Kieran.

Let's start with Arthur being there, and seeing all of this go down.

Bill will then turn to Arthur, a desperate and pleading expression on his face. "Morgan, he saved your life," Bill begs. "You at least owe it to look for him, right?"

And let's have Arthur say yes. Yes, fine, he will help Bill go look for that damned Kieran, O'Driscoll or not. With a decent sized honor boost, they mount up and head out.

Bill eventually finds a trail of footsteps in the mud, following it along with Arthur. Arthur will express his doubts to Bill, but Bill will simply brush them off or ignore them. The footsteps eventually fade into hoofsteps. This is all until there is an abruptly cut off scream from the distance, and Arthur and Bill are racing off.

By the time Kieran is found, she's tied and blindfolded on the back of an O'Driscoll's horse, much the same as you find her atop the back of Arthur's to start. She has already been roughed up, and is only letting out broken sobs by this point.

There are two O'Driscolls, and once Bill calls out to Kieran, it all culminates in a chase through the woods. Hope Arthur brought a horse that handles turns well!

Kieran's struggle quickly grows with the announcement of her saviors, though she is quickly beaten over the head for causing more of a commotion. She is not left unconscious, though she does grow silent besides sobs once more.

Eventually, the chase will burst through into somewhere more open, allowing an easy and clear shot on both O'Driscolls that Arthur and Bill both take. Bill misses, and Arthur must do a little deadeye QTE to keep the O'Driscoll from pulling his revolver and shooting Kieran in the head.

The gunshot startles the horse and Kieran falls. Bill is scrambling to help untie her and get her on her feet. Between broken cries, she's desperately thanking Bill and Arthur, trying to pull herself together from hysteric sobs. She can't stop talking about how terrified she was of what Colm would do to her, only making it all the more clear that her and Colm have more between them than she wants to admit. That they would likely tie her up, starve her, do all the most awful torture methods to her, she's seen how Colm treats men that aren't his kin anymore, and she's heard the way he spoke about Dutch and his gang. This is all too familiar to Arthur.

The ride back is condensed to a cutscene of Bill proudly riding back with Kieran on Brown Jack with him, Arthur following along. Kieran is welcomed back and tended to, Mary-Beth and Karen taking her. She escaped with only some minor head trauma, a couple cigarette burns on her neck, some awful ropeburn, and some body-wide bruises.

From here on out, she is clinging to Mary-Beth, indulging her desire to settle somewhere some day. The violence and constant kidnappings have begun to wear on her, not to mention Bill telling her Dutch's aversion to go look for her, and the lack of concern from half of the camp still, bundled with the growing guilt of letting Jack escape her sight originally... She decides she just wants anything but this.

When Guarma happens, she stays behind. Despite how Dutch seems insistent to have all hands on deck, she refuses to go, demanding why she should do anything for a gang that likes to pretend it's a family, but is the same as all the others she's been in. Dutch's gaze simple hardens into a glare and he says that they will talk about this once he is back. If Kieran does not wish to go, fine.

While the rest of the working men are gone, she is confiding in Mary-Beth more and more. They continued to get pushed closer from the stress of everything, from the constant worry, from having to pull up their bootstraps. She's quite the hand around the camp when Dutch isnt around, and she continues to prove herself to those who ever doubted her. She also grows closer to Sean, who Lenny urged to stay behind as well, to continue recovering.

By the time the boys are back in town, Kieran is well respected, and has pulled herself together to take care of the people Dutch had left behind. She stands up to him, despite being sympathetic to the struggles they all went through.

She does not involve herself in Colm's death, I don't think. I want to believe her and Sadie fight about it even— Sadie demanding to know what reason she has to not want Colm dead.

Of course Kieran feels bitter about her treatment from Colm. Of course Kieran despises the awful things he has done. Kieran also recognizes that she will never climb out of the cycle of violence she's found herself in, should she continue it. She has no druve to keep the violence going. Even survival seems like a pathetic excuse for it, to her.

This only solidifies her backstabbing nature to those who don't trust her.

By the time the caravan of deserters leaves, she's right there with them, clinging to Mary-Beth still.

Kieran thanks Arthur for everything he's done for her. Even if her life hasn't been perfect with them, and has been a lot more good than bad, she's grateful to him for breaking her from being trapped in the tide. She understands why he stays, and does not make an effort to convince him to leave. She knows the kind of hold Dutch has on him, still.

By the epilogue, she's near impossible to find. Though, there's word that Mary-Beth's got an assistant, who seems a little too old for her position. The assistant never says a word to anyone, though she certainly seems a little too familiar.

And that's her happy ending :)

stede and ed are in their own little world

theyre both terrible captains. and that makes their relationship with the crew completely fucked. the captain is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the crew and neither of them are being shown to give a shit.

eds relationship with his crew hasnt evolved at all from when we first meet him. izzy tells him several crew members died carrying out eds orders to find stede. and eds like “well thats thats their job” then “edward if you dont do something were all were ALL gonna die” “hm theres an idea”. hes very experienced and intelligent but that doesnt help when youre reckless and working as an individual while still taking the title of leader. & not keeping people alive. i kept waiting for him to have any growth there but there was nothing. i wanted it so bad but nah. he said sorry to izzy only. cares about him but hasnt had anything with the rest of the crew. he needed moments individually to make amends i think

stedes relationship with his crew got way worse than it was in s1. he was always captaining when he shouldnt have been and responsible for their lives while leading them into danger beyond his ability to ensure their safety but at least he seemed like he cared about their happiness and saying “talk it through”. like there was room for improvement but he went the other way. with s2 its all become so hollow now. he just doesnt care about their feelings if ed is responsible for hurting them. stede not caring At All about lucius being alive was interesting to me. hes kinda just selfish. he sees only ed on an equal level to him and out of the whole crew only izzy really its true. he hasnt had much one-on-one with anyone else.

and then after ed tried to kill half the crew/kill people the other half of the crew love. and all decided their Feelings are “kick him off”. stede still chose ed. they always choose eachother over the crew. and Yeah it makes sense theyre in love. but theyre captains of a pirate ship with a huge target on all of them. but only looking out for the other one. the crew sees how theyre treated. theyre dissatisfied but resigned to their fates. the whole “eh whatever. the captains always get away with it and we just deal with what they put us through” conversation. and really Dont see those two as family at this point lets be real. ed and stede are too focused on each other to be a family to anyone except ed and stede. its true izzy is the only other family member you had it accurate the first time.

they could have changed that if any effort was put in at all but they havent gotten to that point. “oh these people love you oh theyre your family” you cant just write that in and have the crews actions this whole time leading up to that contradict it. just untrue. maybe it being the dying wish of someone who they did actually consider family helped their relationship? a little bit? izzy still picking up eds slack. but then in the end the crew just seem happier without ed and stede. those two arent team players they act as individuals. lone wolf

and thats FINE but not on a ship. having stede give them that push at the beginning of the show was great. to crack their shell a little bit is what started the crews overall growth and im sure they care a little bit about stede for that. and theyre soft people i know they have a lingering connection to them. but they have Not “talked it through” theyre literally “bottling it up” it sucks. theres hope but ed and stede have to reach out but they simply havent. really the way the show is written was the crew-minus-captains becoming family together and ed & stede going off on their own. unfortunate but its just the content of the show. i have a lot of thoughts about this im probably missing something. but the captains/crew relationship was so disappointingly lacking

-the lands for the alpha kids are really fascinating. its less lively than the beta kids but im glad i actually get to experience the puzzles they have to solve on quests and its relations with the players' classpect. i want to see jane fulfilling her planets wish to be green and fertile. she gets too much shit talk from caliborn so i want to see her get a win yknow? and she's so goofy like her beta counterpart i want to see her happy and silly like egbert too.

-speaking of egbert, im kinda worried for him. can you believe it? he doesnt like con air anymore. i've been in his phase of starting to lose all joy in things i used to like and feeling lonely even with people around me and its not pretty. i know he went through a lot. i hope the experience with the dream bubble would make him happier even if just for a bit

-and another beta kids i want to be sad about: davesprite! he's so alone. all of his friends from the timeline is gone, he's not the main dave anymore and john keeps treating him like a replacement. its like he's relegated to a nobody who happens to have a recognizable face. poor guy.

It astonishes me how much choice you have during the sequence of Our Life and am excited to play the full version now, I am downloading it as I write this message. finished my first playthrough just now. it just felt so wholesome ??? 100/10 would do it again. i laughed. i cried. i got angry. i felt second-hand embrassment— i got so into it i was left in literal tears after getting my first ending. the art, the storyline, the music, and COVE HOLDEN– UGH IT WAS LITERAL PERFECTION ❤ THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT. So I was following you guys on itchio for years and uhh did I stay up til 6 am on a school night to finish the game? Yes. Did I sob my eyes out during step 3 as a 20 year old having doubts about life and adulthood? Absolutely. I can't form proper sentences right now due to lack of sleep but just wanted to say thank you for making it. Hi! I played through 'Our Life' yesterday and  I just wanna say how refreshing it was to be able to have Cove be 'high initiative' and also have so many opportunities to initiate affection from the player character! As a pretty flirtatious/affectionate person myself, I notice that a lot of VNs don't give players that agency, and affection can be kinda 'carrot on a stick' if that makes sense. You guys did an awesome job! I look forward to seeing if there are more of those moments in Step 3 & 4 :)

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the option to choose Cove's level of initiative in step 3! As much I love the option to choose I personally enjoy have the romanced character take the lead without my input so when I got to step 3 and had to option to make it so that Cove initiated affection without as much input from me I was really happy! You guys seriously added so much freedom in terms of choices, it's almost baffling that the only thing you have to pay for is optional DLC!

I absolutely loved everything about the game and I really want congratulate the team for making the game such a satisfying experience.

Ok, so I just finished Our Life and, wow. I have never cried at a video game before, ever. Thank you so, so much! Its one of my favorites.

this isn't a question, but i just wanted to say how much i enjoyed our life 🥺 i've been patiently looking forward to the full game for a few months now, and i couldn't be happier with it! i've only played through it once so far but the outcomes of the choices i made were all so soft and wholesome 💗 i can tell that everyone who was involved really worked hard and you all did an incredible job! i can't wait to see what else is in store 👍

i’d just like to say how addictive our life is!!! i constantly played it during quarantine and now playing the full release is so amazing to me!! i love that i’m still discovering dialogue bits with different personalities and actions!!! i have to admit that i’ve been wishing the day to pass faster all day during school so i could go home and play again. mentally i’m not the healthiest and our life being released has boosted it up so much, thank you for creating such an amazing game!!!!!

Just wanted to say that Our Life really made me feel seen as an 18 year old trans man who's been struggling with change as of late and I can't thank you guys enough for it. I just finished the main story and currently released DLC's and gosh, I can really only say... woah. Just, woah. The messages are somehow exactly what I needed to hear right now, and they brought me a lot of comfort in this really weird and confusing time in my life. good people i have just finished Our Life and let me say, it was beautiful. rarely have such non-fantastical moments (and even some fantastical moments) brought me to tears like this game has, and i don't even have the dlc (yet). i don't know how you did it but it felt like i was playing a slice of life anime. i had waited with baited breath to play this since i played the demo and my expectations were not just met but surpassed. from the bottom of my heart thank you for this game

I found the game by chance and I am so so glad I did. It’s so inclusive and made me feel so incredibly seen. Seeing that my gender identity and sexuality were possible just meant the absolute world to me. I’ve never seen something like this and it just made me so incredibly happy. Thank you for the absolutely amazing game and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Hello! I downloaded Our life earlier this week and I'm only now getting the chance to play it (Very busy and stressful week) I'm so excited to play and I wanna say thank you for making this adorable game!

I just finished my first playthrough of Our Life and I can't even express how much I love it. Cove is absolutely precious and has killed me several times, and the art and soundtrack is beautiful. I love all the small different choices. I'm very interested in the Derek and Baxter DLCs and the rest, can't wait!!!!!!

thank you for "Our Life Beginnings & Always" it has to be one of the best visual novels i ever have played and i just dont want it to end (i know it will, but damn it! i want to have a wedding night, have children and die of old age with cole! XD) when i play it it always makes me tear up (in a good way) and i am most definetly going to buy all the dlc that you make! thank you for this lovely game and all the work that went into it! (ps: i also loved "lake of voices" )

I've been watching "Our Life: Beginnings & Always" development for quite some time, and I gotta say its wild to see it finally release. Its so unique in the way relationships work- even character creation. I've cried multiple times over this game while playing. I can't thank y'all enough for a game with these kind of mechanics, and representation. its rare I get to feel im really playing as myself in games like these. Everyones outdone themselves. this'll certainly be one I keep coming back to.

I've been following the development of Our Life from way back when the first demo dropped and it still blows my mind how many choices and customizations there are (love that update for the MC's bedroom btw!) and the fact that the game remembers them - it really feels like your very own coming of age story! I was so immersed I cried at the end :') Can't believe I experienced this game for free lol. I can't wait for future DLCs and Step 4! Good luck with all your upcoming projects dev team!!

I know this isnt exactly the main focus of the game, but i really love how we can customise the mc personality wise! This is the first time i've played a game like this where the mc actually does and says exactly what I would do and say in certain situations and its such a breath of fresh air!! It's also so cool how the other characters can pick up on it!!

Sorry for this being out of the blue, but after playing through Our Life I wanted to thank you for the experience. I don’t know if I’ve ever played a game that has made me cry happy tears TWICE lol. It’s beautiful, scenic, inclusive, and absolutely amazing..have a great rest of 2020 and I honestly cannot wait for the rest of it :,) (ps. The ending song is stuck in my head)

I think you guys might've ruined visual novels for me forever. I'm not sure I'll be able to play another without comparing it to Our Life and I know if I do that I'll be disappointed every time because of how amazing it is. I bought the DLCs before playing the base game it's one of the best impulsive purchases I've ever made

This isn't a question, I just wanted to say that Our Life is incredible. Ever since I finished it, I've been looking for other visual novels to play so I don't play OL so often that I start memorizing the lines before all the DLC comes out, but I keep coming back to it. As a closeted trans ace guy in an unsupportive household, I can’t emphasize how much of a comfort this game has been to me. Everything about it is so wholesome and heartfelt. Csn i just say i really appreciate how you handled MC deciding to use they/them at different stages. Mainly because alot of games don't pay much attention to the body the mc was assigned at birth if they player chooses nonbinary like it does with male/female. And it was just nice to be able to play an mc who just thought gender was kinda 'meh' for them but still felt good about the body they were born with (like myself). I guesd it boils down I'm really appreciative of the hard work it must've taken for you to make all those options possible & still have them matter.

I just wanted to thank you all for Our Life. My mental health hasn't been in a good place recently and it has become my favorite form of escapism/way to cheer up. It's idyllic setting and fantastic characters are such a good way to wind down, I love it. Also, I've been dreading 2021 due to classes starting and general stress, but the DLC and your next project have given me something to actually look forward to :). I'm so excited for them and now I actually have a reason to be happy that it's 2021. I've gotta say this is one of the most repayable games I've ever played, if not the most. Usually after i do a playthrough or two of a game i have to wait awhile before playing again otherwise it feels stale. But i haven't had that problem with our life because of the sheer ammount of player agency. Everyone who works on tbe game should feel incredibly proud of themselves because you've created something amazing.

   As Melissa stood, waiting for the music to start, she couldn't help but think about the events that lead to this moment. A slow smiled spread across her face as she thought about Seth and her relationship. Things hadn't been easy in the beginning. Matter of fact, they hadn't even really gotten along at the start.

Melissa sighed as she walked down the halls of the arena, heading for Hunter and Stephanie's office as she had been asked to do. She tried to shake the nerves as best she could but it wasn't helping. The last time they had called someone into their office at such short notice, it had been to fire them without reason. Being an intern commentator working under Corey Graves, she always worried when the bosses wanted to talk to her.

Reaching the door, she knocked gently. “Mr. and Mrs. McMahon?��

Once they called out a reply she slowly pushed the door open, stepping inside to see Seth Rollins already seated in front of the Mahogany desk. Stephanie smiled at her, standing beside her husband as she gestured for Melissa to sit as well.

”Come on in Melissa.” She smiled. “You're not in trouble or anything.” 

Melissa exhaled and relaxed a bit, making her way over to the vacant chair before sitting down. Seth smiled over at her, shooting her a playful wink as she rolled her eyes.

She had heard all about Seth and his player ways. Shed never admit it to anyone else but she had always had a crush on him. Though, she knew better. Seth has a reputation that preceded him for being a notorious player. It was rare he was photographed with the same woman twice and had started to really tarnish the name of The Shield, let alone WWE.

”I'm glad you could join us Ms. Mclelland.” Hunter smiled up at her and she found herself returning it. “As you can see, this involves Mr. Rollins as well.”

She nodded and waited for them to continue. She already had an idea what this was about, most likely a storyline, but she didn't want to steal their thunder so to speak.

”I'm sure you're aware, Mr. Rollins has quite a reputation with the media. One we need to get a handle on before it ruins his career any further.”

Melissa raised her eyebrow. ”Yes sir, I've seen a few articles about his infidelity. I'm just not sure how I'm needed in this?”

Stephanie exchanged a look with her husband, a slow smile spreading across her face as she turned back to the two in front of them.

”Funny you should mention that Melissa,” she began, smirking at the pair. “we’d like Seth and you to engage in a romantic storyline, just for a few months until the heat dies down.”

If she had been drinking she, most likely, would have spewed it all over the desk as she raised her eyebrow once more. “E-Excuse me?”

”Seth has already agreed to it. We know its not ideal, however it would be very beneficial for the both of you. It could lead to an opportunity for you to gain a permanent place here with WWE and it would give the illusion Seth is cleaning up his act.”

She continued to look at her bosses, to Seth, back to her bosses. To say she was shocked would have been an understatement; she was completely blind sided.

Of course, after some thought and consideration, she had agreed. In the beginning, it had been rather rough. Seth wanted next to nothing to do with her and usually ignored her unless it was part of the storyline. Most of the time, she’d just talk to Dean and Roman who seemed to like her pretty well. No, it wasn’t until about eight months into the storyline that Seth began to change.

It was little things at first, such as his hand lingering on her lower back a little longer after promos and longing glances backstage. By then, the whole reason for the arrangement had worked itself out and there wasn’t a reason to keep it going. However, neither of them could bring themselves to end it.

The arrangement had begun in mid-January and it was in mid-August Seth asked on a first date; one that was because they genuinely liked each other, not because they had been told to do it. Seth had set the whole thing up, taking her to see one of their favorite bands; swaying to the music even though it was a heavier sound, not a care in the world.

Flashing back to the present, she found herself looking down at the Bring Me the Horizon bracelet he had bought her on that very date. It didn’t really match the matte black, deep V-neck, slight fit and flare, with an open quarter sleeve wedding dress she wore but she didn’t care. It would be her somethings old, having gotten it two years prior.

Beside her Becky Lynch, her ‘best man’ smiled reassuringly as the music started.

“Remember lass, count te five and follow me down. Take it slow as ye need, he’ll be waitin.”

Melissa smiled and nodded as Becky quickly hugged her, carful not to disturb the bouquet in her hands, before turning and starting down the aisle; all the guests already standing. As she counted to five and started down herself, her eyes scanned the alter, quickly scanning over Dean and Romans smiling faces before finding Seth. Their eyes locked, tears evident in the corner of his eyes as one rolled down her cheek. Suddenly, her nerves melted away and she wanted to run down the aisle, throw her arms around him, and kiss him. Thankfully, she refrained.

She spent most of the ceremony in a daze, until it came to the vows.

“Now, I believe the bride and groom have prepared their own vows, yes?’” The pastor smiled as he looked between them as they nodded. “Ms. Mclelland, you’ll go first.”

Melissa took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as she looked up at him.

“Seth, it is clear to me now, that everything in my life has led me to you.” She paused and sniffled lightly. “I think back on all of my choices and consider even the bad ones blessed. Only because, if I had done a single thing differently, I might never have met you and gotten the chance to become your wife.”

Seth smiled and lifted his hand quickly to wipe a tear threatening to roll down his face.

“Melissa, I promise to be there for you in cold winter mornings to warm you, on soft springs to watch our love grow, in our summers to play in the light of the sun, and in our autumn to kiss your fingers and say it has been worth it.” He smiled and stared lovingly into her eyes. “Every moment of our love.”

The pastor smiled again before gesturing for the rings, Dean stepping forward and handing them over.

“Melissa Mclelland, do you take Seth Rollins to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

I do.” She smiled as Seth slid the ring onto her finger.

Seth Rollins,” The pastor turned to look at him. “Do you take Melissa Mclelland to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I do.” Seth nodded quickly, Melissa sliding the ring onto his finger where it would set for the rest of their lives.

“By the power granted to me, by the state of Iowa, I now pronounce you husband and wife.” The pastor smirked gently. “You may kiss your bride, Mr. Rollins.”

Seth smiled widely before cupping Melissa's cheeks, pressing his lips firmly and passionately to hers as the crowd erupted into cheers and claps.

They quickly made their way back down the aisle, followed by the wedding party, and headed for the reception. Since the ceremony had been inside, they opted for an outdoor reception, the setting sun and fairy lights they had hung lightly the small meadow perfectly. It was everything they envisioned and more as they moved through the light dinner and cake cutting. It wasnt long before it came to be time for the dance.

As Seth led her to the dance floor, an acoustic version of ‘Still into You’ began to play.

Seth chuckled low in his throat as he too reflected on what had started their love story for a moment. It was true, he had made a lot of mistakes in his life, as everyone does. However, he no longer regarded them as mistakes, as they had led him to the love of his life. Instead, he thought of them as small blessings, thought he was too blind to see it at the time. Blessings he’d always be grateful for. As would she.

★ - im going to start with my girl Camelia, my first NPC i ever truly fell in love with ! I dont talk about her nearly as much as i should on here, maybe outta guilt because we havent been able to play the Last session of Fours a Crowd , BUT shes forever one of the most fleshed out npc’s ive ever made. She’s the personification of Time’s love, which is about as sweet as it sounds. She’s always willing to forgive & forget, allowing time to heal all wounds inflicted upon  herself, to let go. I was in a pretty rough spot when i was making up her backstory, n i let me let go of some of the angers i had back then, so she’s super important to me ! ever since i made her in Fours a Crowd, ive always made it a point to have at least one selfless, filled with love npc.

★ -NINNY from good old Pandoras Box !! i have a lot of feelings about her ?? shes a sweetheart !Funfact about Ninny, she’s an assistant to a big boss of the company, & is always SO tired. she deserves a break, really. She tries what she can to help the party, but sometimes it comes off thats shes too busy for them, but she’s trying her best ! she’s so busy ! she’s techincally a triton, but i played around with the race a little bit for flavour text reasons & story reasons !

I just. she’s been split into three parts, The Heart, The Soul, & The Mind !! all three of them representing a different part of her, & also alternatively the world ? from a narrators POV ? which im SO proud of personally, even if the players dont think about it much . like. The Mind, relying off of memories & what you’ve experienced + logic for where you are, but you’re forever lacking the color of the world. But you question what you’re given, question the nature of the world !The Soul, the conjoining of the heart & mind, a healthy hold of both views, but not able to fully see both sides. Someone who acts as a grey zone, almost !& lastly the Heart, which sees the color of the world, & the naive nature of following whatever’s brought to you. Never questioning what you’ve been told, what you’ve been presented. Falling in love with the world ! Falling in love with the people, bright colors, vibrant emotions !!!

He’s got a super tragic backstory, which involves a lot of angst & hate against him but  ....  he never blames who did it against him, because it was in their nature, he can’t blame them ! he won’t ! he let go of his anger, & chose the higher road & i love him so much for it.

★ - AWAY FROM DND I’m thinking about my OC now, Star. One of my first precious oc’s ! Attached at the hip with his best friend Z, who he’s pining for, he only wants to be a hero for those in need. He grew up in poverty with a 13 other siblings, with him being the oldest. He wants to give poor people hope, a reason to live, something to stride for. He goes through so many character arcs ... I love him so much dude. Like !! He loves his best friend dearly, but she comes from a royal background, & theres a big moment where in their past he pointed out everything wrong with the royals, with the rich. How they let people suffer eventhough they’re doing ‘good’ . that while the castle stands, its a sign of the poor people being put in a place they don’t belong. 

i love him so MUCH. he also refuses to accept fate the way it is, when eventually Z has to face her fate, & does everything he CAN to change it, he’s willing to go against his OWN happy ending if it means Z can have an inkling of a happier ending.

Where do your name and its variations come from?

Long time ago, around 2006, a boy named himself... "Im gonna be Craft2299! hyuk!" out of inspiration of Crafting in World of warCRAFT. (Not minecraft). As he progressed and matured, this name changed: Craft-Crafter-Crafxter-Crafekster. The meaning has been lost and as such, he is now known as Crafek. Most mispronounce it with "Kraifek", and that is just funny.

How do you feel about your performance in this tournament?

Im very happy about it. All fights made me make audible loud sounds of laughter, but especially my last one versus Cherry. I couldnt be happier. It sounds corny but I really do love a good fight.

What was your strategy preparing for and competing in the tournament?

This may sound odd, but I was not that much prepared. I dont spend as much practice time as some other people do. I participated on the tournament a day prior, to warm up to a tournament day. I also worked a bit on my "Kill Moves" with nitro, its something you see me do often. But generally I try to be in a comfortable place in life and have a good mood. I feel that I play the best that way.

During the tournament I heard kirbbbb had been training your Nitro, any truth to that?

As of now/being asked this, there has been very little training. But he did exchange a trick that I did use once or twice during the tournament to my success. However, he has adopted me only recently so the training has just begun. But he did give lots of cheer during this small time so Im going to have to come back and repay him.

Which was your hardest match of the tournament?

Cherry was a very hard match that brought out an even better version of me for the "almost" comeback. But Daio was the one who brought me down to Loosers bracket almost effortlesly. (Pretty much effortlesly).

What surprised you most about the tournament?

Personally, the support and Cheer that I got from people! It is totally undeserved but I am grateful. But across the tournament, is how many doomboxes there was. Fighting doombox is pretty different than fighting other characters, seeing him often kind of normalises this difference a bit I feel.

Is there anyone you didn’t face that you wish you did?

I was ready for Neer. I do admire and am inspired by his playstyle and I feel like I have some kind of grasp against it despite him being better than me, but didnt get to perform against him.

Do you remember where you first saw Lethal League and what hooked you?

Totalbiscuit made a video on it for LL1, which was close to the games release. I bought it almost instantly due to how interresting and fun it looked and had the halmarks of a fighting game (A genre I love).

What’s your current Lethal League experience?

Semi casual, 400hr in LL1, 100hr in LLB

Who are your main/side/counter character picks?

Nitro and dice are my mains. I try to main Nitro, hes got flow with his super.

What are your favourite character outfits?

Raptors Ex outfit

What are your stage preferences?

Any long stage (For nitro), avoiding short stages against characters who do well on short stages.

You've made a lot of visual modifications for Lethal League. Have you ever looked at modding Lethal League Blaze or would you like to?

Yes! But I cannot tell you to expect anything soon. Blaze is different, and if im going to mod the visuals in anyway, it has to be drastic. The game is 3D, which poses layers of problems that I actually havent touched on yet. Im looking forward to figuring those out when I find the time.

Ya know coming into this competition i didn’t expect it to be me and Bradley as the last two people representing our team. I guess he’s gonna be more active now since his busy week is over so that’s swell but like. God I really wanna sleep.

To sum up, I feel like I am getting a deeper bond with Flint and Joey. They seem to be willing to talk with me most often. So, even if we do go to tribal I am safe for the most part. I just feel like I am liked in the tribe. Also, I am the one putting in the most work for the tribe, so I have that going for me. I just feel safe because of the work I have put in, but I don't want to give up just yet. If I can avoid tribal, then I will. According to both Joey and Flint, Suzy and Charlie have been very inactive. Therefore, it will be them on the chopping block come time for tribal. Joey thinks Charlie is more inactive whereas Flint thinks Suzy is more inactive. It'll just come down to what Cassie and I feel in the end. Doesn't hurt us either way since I think they are the weakest links on our tribe, especially Charlie. I don't think she put in enough effort last immunity challenge. Plus, she was totally inactive for this challenge that she auto-lost. Cassie missed this challenge too, but she at least did really well last challenge. If we go to tribal, I think I would vote for Charlie in the end since they are the person I feel least closest to. If only Bradley dropped, I could win this challenge for my tribe and cement my place as a valuable asset.

Ok so I completely missed the challenge! I had no idea it was going to start early and I was at ine of ny sibling's events. I'm rooting for my team and hoping that my absence doesn't paint a target on my back. Also! I am loving being Lysandre! The writer in me is having a field day because I get to create a character and their background, quirks, and personality BUT THEN I GET TO BECOME THEM.

I couldn't outlast that second Immunity challenge. It was fun but my body couldn't carry on. I hope that Felix can pull through for Tuai! If we have to go to tribal I think it will be an easy vote, for me at least. I think that Cassie or Suzy should go. Cassie hasn't shown much initiative as our leader and Suzy isn't very social.

This challenge is taking forever. Im the last one for my tribe. I dont want to lose cuz itll suck and havent been on that much so my soical game isnt too strong either. I just want to beat one tribe.

Can you believe I have done THAT! I single-handedly won this challenge for my tribe, and got an advantage on top of that. I know why Raul and Kathleen gave it to me, though. If I won and people knew I had an advantage, I would have a big target on my back. It does seem that Kathleen and Raul are working together, so I have to watch out for them. Whether I tell this to anyone on my tribe is a different matter entirely. Though they all know I have an advantage. I think I won't be seen as a threat until later on in the game. I'm still an asset to them though this early on so I hope I would stay if we had to go to tribal in this stage of the game.

I really did not think I was gonna be able to compete but I got back into it was in the last 2 of our tribe. When it came down to 4 of us 2vs1vs1 we knew we needed to just knock out Bradley and he did that to himself. The best thing to come out was that Kathleen and I grew together plus I'm pretty sure I know the identity of Kathleen which helps cause I love this person. Also there was a individual advantage to be won and Felix had 0 while Kathleen and I had 2. Kathleen and I had decided that Felix could have it but try to work a little magic and make a relationship with him and a deal to work together if the opportunity arose. My smart self realized that that if we just gave it to him it would be announced we made a deal, so I said we continue the comp and just throw it that way it wouldn't be revealed what we were actually doing. This way it keeps this threesome possibility a secret. Whether it remains one or not we shall see. At the very least we aren't going to tribal. Hoorah, 1 point Raul the Snake 0 points survivor gods . . .

I think the advantage is less about doing someone on the other tribe a favor. I'm telling everyone about it because, if I do that, it garners trust because they know I'll be open with them about any advantages I have. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to tell the truth to gain trust. The extra vote could also get me an ally on the other side. Let's see if this plays out like I hope it does.

Everyone is nice which makes it hard to decide who to vote off. Performance in the next challenge will base my vote and probably others.

I think my plan is working. Cassie offered me an alliance with her and Flint. I think those two are really cool so I think working with them is in my best interest. Also, I have connections with Mea through Raul and Kathleen. Hopefully, since I'm giving an extra vote to Bradley, I can gain a connection with him despite not having met him. I hope this plays out well! My social game seems to be climbing!

Felix

I have made my first alliance in this game! It's the Tuai Quad Alliance, LLC featuring Cassie, Joey, Flint, and I. It's basically everyone I wanted to work with since the beginning of the game! I think I have found myself in a good position on this tribe. To be honest, I'd like to see Charlie go first, but we'll see how this all pans out. I'm glad I finally have a security blanket though. Hurray for a good social game!

I love being a part of the Tuai tribe and was happy to become the leader. Despite liking all of my tribemates, I've become part of an alliance. We're calling it the TQA, LLC. Maybe someday that can be trademarked, hehe. But the Tuai Quad power is strong with Felix, Flint, Joey, and myself.

Well. We lost the challenge. I made a pact with Bradley that we should stick together since we were the last two people left in the challenge. I also talked to Apollo and Boris. I seem to be close to them. Boris mentioned making an alliance with me, him, Bradley, and Apollo and I would be totes down for that. So. Guess this will be pretty simple hopefully

I just cast my first vote and it was wild. I didn't know what to expect going in to tribal. I hope no one blindsides me because I am really getting invested in this game. I think while my performance in the last challange wasn't the greatest, I can still be a strong social player. Not sure if I'm feeling like Parvati or Hannah Shapiro. I need another few weeks to find out what kind of player I am going to be.

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Beetlejuice is a demon/ghost who’s a little bit of an egotistical maniac. He’s a wannabe eldritch horror but in reality he’s mostly just sad and lonely. Living people can’t see him, even the dead ignore him, and he can’t affect the world of the living at all. The only way to change that is for a living person to say his name three times -- which is what he makes his life mission to be. Any time he’s fortunate enough to come across someone who he can manipulate, he does everything in his power to make a deal in which is name is spoken aloud.

Besides that, he’s just kinda this strange, off-the-walls type dude who doesn’t know when to shut the fuck up.

He loves musical theatre. He’s been around a long time and seen a lot of cultural things come and go, but nothing makes him happier than a good old showtune.

Summary: Where Scott Reed and his girlfriend swing bats, but can never go to each other's games.

Request: hiiii can u do an imagine where the reader plays softball and she’s dating scott but since he plays baseball he can’t really be at her games but he surprises her once and she does rlly well and yeah thank u!

A/N I don't now shit about baseball or softball other than homeruns and bases so im apologizing in advance.

Scott Reed and you were basically known as the "Baseball Couple".  He played baseball, you played softball and because of how similar the sports are, you two bonded over them.  It's actually how your relationship started. Now, 2 years later, your relationship is as strong as ever and you both have gotten so much better at your sport.  Because your sports were similar, so were your game schedules. If you had a game, so did he and it sucked because you couldn't be that couple that went to each other's games and cheered the loudest.  Instead, you were on different sides of town playing your own games.

There was one time, when you were like 12, where you went to a baseball game at the park and that was the first and last time you saw Scott play a game.  You only went because your uncle was babysitting you that day and your cousin was on the team. You and Scott didn't even know each other back then so you don't count that game.  Scott, unfortunately, never got the chance to see you play so he relied on what people said about you. To his knowledge, you were normally the one hitting home runs and leading the team to winning the game.  He admittedly felt bad because he’s never seen you play, but he was still your number one supporter.

On game days, you two had this tradition where you’d get each other little gifts and spend the whole day with only each other and not really your friends.  It sounds a little mean, but your friends, the ones that were asses like Bryce, actually thought it was adorable. He’d do little things like: walk you to class, carry all of your stuff (all of it) and even buy you lunch instead of the cafeteria food.  You weren't exactly sure how it started, but you loved it. It wasn't a one-sided tradition, of course. Though he insisted you didn't have to do anything, you felt bad the first time it happened. So now you just get him his favorite food for his bus trip or while he's waiting for the game to start.

“Okay, so your game is here and mine is at that school that's 20 miles away.”  Scott sighed. “I love that we both understand the sport, but it fucking sucks that we can never see each other play.”  

“I know, but hey.  When you make it to the MLB, I can see you play.”  You stated. Anyone who knew the Reed knew that he loved for baseball and wanted to pursue it professionally.

“I swear, if I can't see you play this year, I will call in sick and skip a game.”

You turned to him surprised.  Since you both were on varsity,scouts were all over the place and if he were to skip a game where scouts showed up, it could potentially ruin his chances of going straight into the MLB.

You both went through the day like you normally do and since he had to leave about an hour before you school ended, you said your goodbyes and wished each other “good luck”.

Once school ended, you went to the locker room to change with the rest of the team.  You had your uniform on so you just sat on the bench while texting Scott.

“Lover boy couldn't come?”  Your coach asked. Like anyone else in school, she knew about your relationship Scott and she knew how it sucked seeing your teammates run to their boyfriends or girlfriends after a game.  In response to her, you shook your head and she gave you a sympathetic smile.

“I don't blame him.  He’s going after his dream and I’m going after mine.”

The other team finally arrived as the Liberty softball team was practicing their swings, sprints and throws.  At the moment, the Tigers were undefeated and the opposing team was hoping that they could end their streak.

When the game started, the stands were filled with parents and friends and the sunset was starting.  The game was coming to a close and the opposing team was now playing defense. You were the last person to go up because, according to your coach, best hitter goes last.  

The 2 schools were currently tied so you needed a home run if you wanted to keep that undefeated streak. You went up to the home plate and tapped your bat against the dirt before raising your arms.  The crowd was silent and you were thankful because it made it easier to concentrate on hitting the ball. The pitcher stood across from you and you watched as she stared you down. As if it was in slow motion, the ball started hurtling towards you and as if it was on instinct, your arms swung across your body and made contact with the ball.  Right after the follow through, you dropped the bat and started sprinting to the bases. You watched as the defense players ran after the ball and by the time they started giving it to each other, you had just passed 2nd base. Third base came and because of how close the ball was to the home plate, you slid in and hoped you were safe.

When the word “safe” left the umpires mouth and the timer hit 0:00, you stood and your entire team ran out and shared a group hug.  After congratulating the other team for a good game, you all walked out the gate and on the other side were all the Liberty fans. You were still happy, but your mood slightly deflated when you saw your teammates run into the arms of their boyfriends or girlfriends.  

“You were amazing out there.”  A voice whispered into your ear as an arm wrapped around your waist from behind.  You whipped around and almost teared up at the sight of your boyfriend, Scott Reed, with a bouquet of flowers standing behind you.  “Surprised?”

“What are you doing here?  What happened to your game?”  You asked him, but you smiled as you threw your arms around him and pressed kisses all over his face.  

Scott looked down at you with a smile almost as big as yours and seeing how happy you were was making the long wait worth it.  “The other team had to forfeit because half their team got suspended for fighting with some track kids. I wanted to come see my favorite girl play for once.”

You were filled with happiness and because you couldn't help yourself, you kissed him, not really caring if anyone was against it.  Scott smiled into the kiss and pulled you closer to him and you couldn't be happier. Sure, it was only one game and there was a slim chance of it happening again, but you were happier than ever that Scott had finally gotten the chance to see you play.

Quick Thoughts on TRR Book 2 Chapter 16

• Maxwell since when was Bertrand a ‘calm presence’ 😂

• “No plots, schemes or blonde-haired barriers in the way!” Bertrand tells me. You sure about that boi? Coz everytime someone says something won’t happen in this book, it fucking happens 😑

• MAXWELL SINCE WHEN WAS ME ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL IN MY WAITRESS UNIFORM A GOOD IDEA

• When in doubt (and in NY getting engaged) dress like a New York skyscraper

• I had thought the Bertrand Savannah story would be over by now, but it isn’t. Far from it. But from what I gather - he seems to a. think that restoring Beaumont House’s glory comes first, b. feel that his love for Savannah (he does mention that he “treasures” her messages) is a distraction, c. deems himself a failure. There are some pieces to this puzzle missing and methinks we’ll find them all only in Book 3.

Legit. This right here is how my MC ended up head over heels for him.

• Liam: You radiated…possibility.

I believe at some point in the chapter, Liam highlights this as true not only in his own case, but applies it to how she changed Drake’s, Hana’s and Maxwell’s lives as well. I love that even in this, he doesn’t want to think only of himself. He sees how the MC has influenced his friends as well.

• I love how all our choices in Book 1 have been incorporated in this chapter.

• My favourite sequence in the chapter thus far is when Liam tells us about how he met the rest of the gang. It really does give us an idea of their background and history, and why they all really worked as a team, a unit, a group.

•

The first thing that came to my mind was how Maxwell was the first person to recognize the effect the MC had on Liam, way before even Drake did. He was the first to realise that Liam had found in the MC something he’d never had before, and thought to himself “I don’t want Liam to lose that”. It makes his first invitation to Cordonia that much more poignant, IMO.

• Lol I love how both Liam and Drake’s friendship is comprised entirely of them repeatedly rescuing each other 😂 They’re each other’s Knights in Shining Armour lol.

• OMG I FEEL SO VALIDATED BY WHAT LIAM SAID ABT HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH HANA?? I’D BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE BEFORE BOOK 2 CAME OUT OMG THANK YOU FOR CONFIRMING LIAM xD

• Soooo this time’s diamond option is purely sexytimes, with a side order of Lady Liberty trivia. (the lightning one sounds ominous and symbolic of Liam in some ways). I’m okay with that because I really liked the non-diamond journey that preceded it, I thought that was a beautiful way to retrace their steps to the very beginning of their journey together.

• Also. As I have said before. Cordonian men have a thing for pinning their women to walls 😂

• This comes up if the MC speaks about Lady Liberty being struck by lightning 600 times.

Liam says the MC represents possibility. The MC says this. The Bad is gonna happen fam. In the Finale 😭😭😭

• Yknow there are several ways this could go down:

1. An assassination

2. A coup

3. Possible leaking of Constantine’s involvement in the conspiracy, leading to people losing their faith completely in Liam. It would take a great amount of effort for Liam to win his people’s trust, all through no fault of his own 😭

I hate option 1 but at least I hate it the least 😭😭😭 I’d much rather Liam get heroically injured than emotionally and publically torn apart like that 😭😭😭😭

• MADELEINE KNOWS SOMETHING.

• MAYBE REGINA KNOWS SOMETHING TOO IDK. MAYBE EVEN ADELEIDE KNOW SOMETHING. OR NOT. IM SO CONFUSED.

• If you reject Liam’s proposal, the resulting behaviours from the MC’s side are highly problematic:

1. She does it NOW when this man is on his one knee with a ring. Imagine how much more poignant and beautiful this admission would have been if they let you say it way back at the balcony. Imagine having the opportunity to tell Liam you love someone else at that point, seeing him conflicted, sad, confused - BUT AT LEAST he knows the stakes and knows it involves you finally going to the love interest of your choice in the end. Imagine him saying “I’m hurt, and sad, but that’s not what matters. What matters is that we clear your name.” How much more poignant that scene would have been. How much richer would it have made Liam’s story with you even if you weren’t pursuing him. It would allow him to maybe explore other options with other people. And it would be completely in character for him to let go that way. The MC, Liam and all the LIs would have wound up all looking good. Having it stretch out this far and crushing him like this is great drama but it makes the MC look like a complete tool. ESP when Liam offers her a duchy and her response is to be happy. HAPPY. “Sure I trampled your heart on my high heels but LAND. TITLES. MY OWN COAT OF ARMS. YAY. Who cares about you boo?”

2. Having the option of kissing him, and having sex with him, even though you have rejected him. Sure, Liam tries to make us feel better about initiating by bringing up the way Cordonia secretly does relationships, but in this case they don’t have consent from the LIs. She’s telling him she wants to have sex with him, at a time when he is vulnerable, desperately in love, still not over her, shocked and confused. That’s manipulative on levels I can’t even begin to describe. There should have allowed Liam to pull a Zig here, not continue placing her on a pedestal. Zig wants the TF MC, and he makes his feelings very clear to her while playing pool, but if she chooses to cheat on her LI with him he makes it very clear how absolutely callous that is on both him and the other LI. It makes it clear that this choice - taken with no one’s consent, and obviously focussed just on her own needs without caring whether other people will get hurt in the process - is wrong. He lets her know her behavior was terrible. Liam would have been well within his rights to tell the MC that too.

At the very least they could have had Liam bring the polyamorous option up and THEN state “but hey, you shitty person, we don’t have Drake/Hana/Maxwell’s say on this yet”.

This isn’t in any way comparable to the Liam/Madeleine/MC situation. Liam was in a forced arrangement, one that he had been clearly manipulated into. Liam had Madeleine’s explicit consent, and got the MC’s as well, before moving forward. Plus he never intended to keep the arrangement with Madeleine, hoping to break it when the MC’s name was cleared (a promise he acted upon and fulfilled immediately, might I add). Here, the MC and Liam are free, as are the other LIs, and they have nothing holding them back. And as I mentioned earlier there is no explicit consent from the LIs, the way there was with Madeleine. Liam is a guy who stayed ridiculously faithful to the MC from the moment she entered the competition, didn’t even look in the direction of the rest of the competition when he was well within his rights to. Ignored Madeleine to a large extent the whole duration of their engagement. Basically ONLY lavished attention, love and devotion to the MC. What about this guy screams “yeah let’s bang without consent from the ppl you’re actually in love with” to you?

• Liam is not the one with the problem here. Nor is the player. The problem is the writing and the game.

• This is an obvious attempt at cashgrab. Now that we will begin to go official with our LIs, how are we going to buy ALL the exclusive LI scenes the way we’ve been doing so far? They can’t completely diverge the stories the way they did with RoE (RoE could afford to do this because there were other characters and storylines we could find ourselves invested in, so restricting it to just one LI in Book 3 was okay), nor can they do what they’re currently doing in TS or ES or LH because the relationship dynamics in this book are vastly different. So they bring up this piss poor excuse so that they can still manage to make sex scenes with the LIs possible even if you’re supposed to be going official with them by the end of the book. Ick. All it does is leave a bad taste in my mouth.

like. was she exaggerating traits that were already there (sayori’s hidden sadness, yuri’s obsessive personality), drawing out/forcing to the surface the darknesses that were already in them, or was she actively CHANGING their personalities. like. did she GIVE sayori depression, or just heighten it 

or maybe it wasn’t literal code manipulation so much as just emotional/mental manipulation, subtly fucking with their heads until she convinced sayori she was worthless and should kill herself, etc

monika singlehandedly destroys the entire dating sim genre

i like how she’s. really. obviously hinting at you that you could legitimately just fucking delete her right now 

but i couldn’t bring myself to do it at first, both for fear of “what if this is actually an irreversible change since I’m directly messing with the game data” and because. i wanted to see what else could happen/what else she had to say, i have no idea how long this scene can actually run for before it starts repeating or goes silent or whether something else happens eventually

maybe if i reach this point again i might just. leave her up for a while 

this direct... interaction really gets into your head it was legitimately difficult to make a decision / i was afraid of clicking on things or messing with things because She’ll Know (its REAL GOOD) 

however this raises a LOT of questions. how many other things are hidden in the game files that you could do something with / that might have hidden messages or something. is it possible to recover the deleted character files without monika giving them back to you. what happens if you do this earlier in the game than you’re supposed to, what if you just delete her from the start. what if you deleted someone else. what if you deleted everyone but monika from the beginning. or everyone but someone else. if this actually does affect the game / really does serve as the “entire character’s existence file you can delete at will” there are a LOT of possibilities here that I’m probably gonna mess with eventually

i feel like there’s missed potential here having a button labeled “help” that doesn’t respond any differently on this screen than it does normally, but 

the “history” has reverted to a regular transcript, and there’s nothing to load 

then i tried quitting the game, half afraid i wouldn’t be allowed to

i stayed with her and let her talk for a while, occasionally quitting and restarting to see if i could change anything (it didn’t Change things but she did respond with different dialogue every time) 

she eventually resigns herself to the fact that you have to close the game sometimes, and seems to forgive you for it 

she also told me about her twitter account, which does actually exist but seeing other people talking to her/etc kinda took me out of it so i didnt look at it much

then i finally decided it was time to work with the files, i still do want to just. leave her up for an extended amount of time to see how long it can last but for this time, this playthrough, i wanted to move on

she frequently mentions her character file, I’m guessing its the gamedevs hinting that you can mess with it but im also wondering if you can like. change it or do anything with it apart from deleting it 

i tried duplicating her (she had mentioned something like ‘maybe you should make a backup of me, just in case’) but it didn’t seem to have any effect on anything, and nothing changed when i deleted the copy 

i was pretty much expecting that if i deleted her she’d vanish and id be left with nothing but 

eventually i decided to not delete her, but just. move her out of the game folder. i put her on my desktop.

SHE DOES STILL EXIST I JUST MOVED HER :’) 

at this point i tried returning the file into the game folder where it was before, but it didn’t change anything as far as i could tell

i think removing her from the folder causes it to respond the same as if you had deleted her 

im also not sure if the other character files are recoverable in some way, like. maybe if you had duplicated them previously would you have been able to put them back? would monika just delete your duplicates?

the memories seem...mixed up, sayori is alive and this should be before she confesses about her depression but my character still seems aware that she needs encouragement, he’s not being nearly as dismissive and rude to her

monika is gone, sayori is the club president, and your character willingly chooses to join the club without needing to be coerced into it this time (but you as the player still are not given a choice, either) 

I’m not sure if that’s. monika rewriting the script or what it is 

everyone seems happier, sayori’s doing better, yuri apologizes to natsuki and they agree to give each others’ literature styles a chance 

like “everything’s better without monika, everything’s great and happy and normal again now that she’s gone” but it feels wrong somehow

monika was. trapped in this just like everyone else is, she’s just the only one who knew it, she was selfish and violent but she wasn’t just a rogue virus 

and her just being. gone. feels wrong

jae was always born from a different breed?? thats so lame to say but its so real bc he was nothing like his family . given that he was an only child, his parents directed a lot of attention and time toward him to give him not only a fulfilling childhood but also live vigorously through him which could get so ugly sometimes. they were, as they would put it, “going to be damned if he wasn’t successful in something.”

he was an introverted kid, so they were always forcing him to be social and forcing him into tons of different sports and performing arts in hopes that he would find his knack. jae was young, but he wasn’t stupid and he knew that their intentions weren’t entirely to make him happy but rather make them feel like fulfilled parents. but luckily, throughout all of this, he ended up finding his passion on his own while waiting for his violin lesson. he could hear from outside a room an adult during their own piano lesson and he was so enthralled and enchanted by the sound of the music that he was like yo what the FUCK!!!!

so, in a very jee family way, they immediately put him into lessons and jae fucking fell in love with it. he was so passionate about it that he would eat sleep and shit fuckin piano it was all he wanted to do ever. and honestly ?? the more he matured the better he became. he was a born natural and it was something that made him genuinely happy, something that he wanted to pursue professionally on his own. he knew that by the age of 12

but by the age of 18 that was all ruined

filling in that time gap, things got progressively more difficult for jae. he ( in attempts to make his parents happier ) let them guide his line of sight towards particular majors that he could take up. his parents saw education as a better opportunity for success than a professional piano player did. it was incredibly ironic considering they had so willingly tossed him into the lessons in the first place, but jae had learned from a very young age that his parents were walking contradictions. they would knock him down, making comparisons to the two on whether or not he wanted to be “a lowlife playing piano in old restaurants” or “be unbelievably successful within a realistic career.” it was cold, but jae was used to it. he had to accept those words in order to stay in lessons so he kept his mouth shut for years.

however, pressure between his parents and peers was something always cracking away at him. as he grew up, his talent growing with him, he wasn’t as introverted anymore and instead cocky. he knew he was good and he knew he was attractive because of he thrived off the attention. 

his father died of cancer when he was 16 which was a cruel reality check. it reminded him that everything is temporary and only lit an fire under his mothers ass to be mean as fuck. she threatened to take away his piano lessons if he didn’t become more serious about schooling because she felt he owed it to his father. so, reluctantly, he accepted his fate and did exactly that. it was around that time that jae started forcing himself to show more interest in school ( i.e. he stopped ditching classes, put forth more effort into his grades, etc ). despite how reluctant he always was to actually attend school and willingly advance, once he actually tried, his grades were impeccable. so impeccable, in fact, that high-end colleges started to take notice of him for not only his schooling but his capabilities on the piano as well.

not only was he cocky, he was getting noticed and it was was infuriating. things didn’t really heat up until the end of his senior year when he aced his audition for juilliard and quickly became the schools golden senior. sure, it infuriated a lot of his classmates out of spite and jealousy, but it didn’t piss anyone off more than it did for a kid named andrew . he HATED jae with a burning passion . he was jealous, he was racist, and he was evil. it didn’t faze jae until one night in particular that andrew and his gang of white devils figured out his schedule after following him around and cornered him

in summary, they beat the fucking shit out of him. he tried to put up a fight of course, but he was out numbered. they broke one of his ribs, bruised him up, but more importantly they took a baseball bat to his hand. multiple times. they destroyed it, and it was the beginning of the end

after being hospitalized, he found out he had to get surgery in his right hand which required a metal rod that replaced a bone entirely because of how shattered it was . it would have been fine, of course, if it didn’t throw piano out the window for him, which obviously, it did. the break in his hand was life changing because it’s a battle he still has to face even years later. about two years after he received the initial surgery, he had to get another one to fuse the arthritis that set in. 

he was fucking miserable and was forced to relive the thought every day in rehab, every painkiller he took, and every moment he spent in his room. at only the age of 18, he was mortified, heartbroken and angry. the reminder was too much to bare, making him sometime later take a baseball bat, ironically, to the piano which rested in the corner of his room. his mother tried to seek him help, the rehab center for his hand tried to sick therapists on him, but he never wanted to talk about it. he became cold and resigned and it changed who he was entirely

eventually, his mother gave up and their relationship went stale entirely. however, it wasn’t much of a loss for jae because he didn’t see much of a relationship between them in the first place. after a summer spent in recovery, he became an incredibly cold and resigned person for about a year and a half. it changed his personality and impacted a lot of his relationships negatively. when he was accepted into penn state, he remained pretty aloof from his classmates, lowkey gaining a reputation among his peers that obviously wasn’t that great. he was a heartbreaker and an asshole, and it wasn’t until he met muses c & k that he began to change as a human being. they were just overall really detrimental in bringing out the normal, functioning and kind human being that was in jaewon originally.

now, he’s honestly??? SO FUNNY SDLFJ like hes such a witty smart ass n he’s just so beautiful and always looking for a thrill and a party in everything he does. this trip is a positive thing for him because it’s giving him an opportunity to be with some of his closest friends and really grow and give him an excuse to be free-spirited. sometimes he .. wylin a little too hard but he means well and he’s just my son Okay

The New York Giants new braintrust of general manager Dave Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur knew that to rehabilitate a team that went 3-13 last season their biggest challenge was to fix the divided losing culture that permeated a team that was broken. When the Giants hired Shurmur giving him his second opportunity to be an NFL head coach Gettleman said the two men completey agree on the importance of culture. Football is the ultimate team sport Gettleman said. We have to put together a roster that is talented but who love the game of football and love to compete. Have they succeeded? Signs are everywhere that yes the divisions and dissension that plagued the Giants during their historically bad 2017 season are gone. Eli Apple after a tumultuous season is a happy camper with a new and improved outlook. Shurmur has lauded him for acting like a pro. Janoris Jenkins who had his own issues last season and is facing personal strife of his own has been business-like and solid on the field. There are quite often players working after practice and trying to help each other. Players like Nate Solder Connor Barwin Kareem Martin A.J. Francis and William Gay have brought with them not only talent but the desire to help other players. Shurmur likes to talk about keeping the focus on football. It feels like football again around the Giants with the focus o n the field instead of a myriad of other distractions. Credit for that has to go to Gettleman and Shurmur. They have everything to do with it and it has changed a lot said John Greco an 11-year veteran who came to the Giants midway through last season. Unfortunately for me I havent had a lot of success in wins and losses in my career but Ive always been around teams that never fell apart when things went bad. But last year there was a lot of that. I think that culture has changed. Odell Beckham and Sterling ShepardNorthJersey.com-USA TODAY NETWOR Reaching Odell If the Giants were going to successfully change their culture Shurmur and Gettleman had to reach superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Shurmur is Beckhams third head coach and while not close to the reason Tom Coughlin and Ben McAdoo lost those jobs the way those two coaches handled Beckham did not help them. Desperate for victories after too many losing seasons Coughlin turned a blind eye in 2015 when Beckham had his run-in with Josh Norman of Carolina. McAdoo did the same last season when Beckham was penalized for his peeing celebration in Philadelphia. Truth is whatever you think of those incidents when the head coach wont stand up to his his star player and enforce standards or impose some type of discipline when necessary the rest of the roster notices. And the team framework erodes. Shurmur began reaching out to Beckham and trying to build a relationship back in February shortly after settling into the job. He even went to Los Angeles to see Beckham on his home turf. The result? Beckham has been everything the Giants hoped for. Coming back from an injury and seeking a rich long-term contract extension he participated in offseason workouts and mandatory mini-camp. In training camp despite still not having that deal and reports having circulated that he wouldnt step on the field without a deal Beckham has been a full participant in each practice during camp. Coach Shurmurs great. When we first met out in L.A. we just sat down and talked football. To see his mentality and how hes going to run the ship its been phenomenal to come in here every day Beckham said. He makes it fun for us. Hes just doing a great job. The contract Beckham wants appears within sight. The relationship forged by Shurmur with Beckham had a lot to do with it. This guy loves to play football Shurmur said of Beckham. He trains extremely hard hes totally engaged in the meetings behind the scenes the things that the world is not aware of and hes got a lot of passion for the game. Veteran leadership When the Giants won Super Bowls in 2007 and 2011 there was of course talent on the rosters. There was also veteran leadership. In 2007 a star like Michael Strahan and veterans like Antonio Pierce R.W. McQuarters and Sam Madison. In 2011 stars like Justin Tuck and Antrel Rolle guys like Chris Snee and David Diehl even a veteran like Deon Grant. Those types of players have been missing for the past several years. The Giants in an effort to get younger and more athletic moved on from veteran leaders like Tuck and Rolle saw guys like Snee and Diehl retire. In building their roster they virtually ignored the 30-and-over market. They got younger sure. They also left themselves with a leadership void. Without veteran players who had won who had been there and done that and who could guide some of their younger teammates. Veteran players like Gay (33) Greco (33) CBarwin (31) Jonathan Stewart (31) and Solder (30) have been added. Solder has had an excellent influence on Ereck Flowers and second-round pick Will Hernandez. Third-round pick Lorenzo Carter is soaking up knowledge from Barwin. Stewart is a former first-round pick who can help Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman. Gay is a veteran who loves the game and has helped the cornerback room filled with dissension a year ago come together. You have to stop worrying about age Gettleman said in the spring in answer to a question about Manning. He might as well have been talking about his approach to building the entire roster. One of those 30-somethings Barwin recently described what he thought it took to be a good teammate. You try do whatever you can to help a guy do better Barwin said. It is perhaps a small example but after Fridays practice 12th-year long-snapper Zak DeOssie was on the field helping 25-year-old Jordan Williams try to master the art of long-snapping which he has never done in a regular-season game. I think its good Shurmur said. I think especially when older players are helping younger players it shows me that they care and thats the most important thing. Genuine and approachable There is an old adage that you have to give respect to get respect. Spend time around Shurmur and you can see that is what he does. Coach Pat is one of the most genuine coaches Ive ever been around. That was veteran defensive tackle A.J. Francis playing for his sixth NFL organization on Shurmur. Greco has been with Shurmur in three stops when he was offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams then head coach of the Cleveland Browns before coming to the Giants. His personality is always the same. Hes a great guy players coach. I dont think theres anything thats changed as far as how hes approaching his day-to-day head coaching duties I see a ton of similarities. Greco said. Some coaches youre afraid to talk to. They have this aura about them that makes them unapproachable. I dont think thats Pat at all. You can go up to him and joke around and give him a hard time but at the same time you know when to separate that from work. I think thats great to have. Giants tight end Rhett Ellison was with Shurmur in Minnesota. Shurmur he is what youre going to get like thats who he is Ellison said. He doesnt change around different people or in different positions he is who he is. Hes real hes a great communicator and hes a great teacher. Shurmur has shown that genuine personality not only to players but to the media as well. The day players reported for training camp he stopped by unsolicited to chat with reporters and welcome them to camp. He will let you know if he is tired of a particular question but he gives respectful thoughtful answers to each question. He will often extend press briefings taking an extra question or two after the Giants PR staff tries to shut down briefings. Hes even opened up a little recently and drawn some laughs. Friday Shurmur spent about 15 or 20 minutes after his briefing talking with a group of young journalism students visiting for the day. Certainly he had someplace else he would rather have been but he gave them his full attention. Gettleman too has shown his personality to reporters. He jokes with them. He uses their names. He talks to people not at them. And yes there is a difference. Players notice those kinds of things. Media too. Ive seen Mr. Gettleman Ive seen Pat talk to everyone on the team no matter who you are. They come in they want to know how your day is doing they want to know how youre feeling Greco said. I think that makes guys feel good especially the younger players. They dont feel like just a number and a name. They feel like part of a family. A pragmatic approach Gettleman and Shurmur didnt know each other before Shurmur was hired by the Giants. The marriage has thus far been a good one. Gettleman said that Shurmur an offensive coach has a pragmatic approach much like many defensive-oriented head coaches he has been around. Hes got a great way about him Gettleman said. What Ive found is defensive coaches if you look at NFL history the greatest head coaches most of the greatest head coaches have come from the defensive side of the ball. They tend to be very pragmatic. Joe Schmo goes down Sam Smith goes in these are our adjustments. Ive got a head coach who has been on the offensive side of the ball his whole career with that pragmatic approach so Im in heaven Im in absolute heaven. Hes very pragmatic. I think hes got a great way about him with the players. He keeps it simple. Were playing football its not rocket science. Were playing football put the ball down lets go 11 guys lets go. Im thrilled with Pat. I couldnt be happier. Hes everything I thought he could be. I do try to be realistic about things. How our game relates to the players. I dont know if thats part of being pragmatic Shurmur said. Try to solve the problems as they come up with a plan in place. Decide what our plan is work the players to try to get em better and then when things change be willing to adjust. I really do believe its about the players. That is a Shurmur quote from his first press conference after being hired. We used to have a thing we said in Philadelphia and then certainly when we went to Minnesota that Its not the plays its the players. I think whats important is were going to establish the right way to do things. Were going to establish what we want as a New York Giants football team Shurmur said. I think what you do is you start initially with the locker room by developing relationships with those guys that love to play football and youre constantly talking to them about what it means to be a good pro. Final thoughts The Giants have not played a game yet. There is no guarantee that anything they have done will lead them back to the playoffs or even to being better than they were a year ago. Still it is abundantly clear that the Giants are in a better place. Shurmur and Gettleman deserve credit for that.
