I'm approaching the end of a tunnel

The light at the end is getting brighter, nearer, more real

The lights of the city skyline are fast approaching

The rest of forever is so close I can practically taste it

It fizzles and pops on my tingling tongue like a cocktail of excitement and dread

And at the end of my tunnel I've spent my life traversing-

Learning to love the chipped paint of the highway and the asphalt that set my lungs on fire

Getting addicted to the pain because every once in a while I catch sight of a splash of color in my grayscale world

A dandelion fighting to stay alive

So I learned to do the same-

At the end of the tunnel

Is where I will learn if I will soar

or

fall.

(And I'm drunk off the fear of it)

#This drawing is kind of personal to me #I recently graduated (CUM LAUDE WOOOO!!!!) and its like. not to get depressing #but when i was younger i was never sure whether i would make it to this point #When i was going through what i consider to still be like. the worst time of my entire life #This fictional character was there for me and she was something for me to latch onto and cope with #eGem helped me a lot with being able to process my emotions at the time but also helped me to reflect on myself #which i think is a big reason as to why I'm really happy with where i am with myself right now #I'm going off to uni next school year to study astronomy!!! which!!!#Im also doing because of eGem!!! wait, you're a lawyer? for real?

I got an associates in stage tech, a double BFA in Graphic Design and 3D Design, and then went to law school on full academic scholarship, booked twelve classes, fell asleep during the Bar Exam three times (but passed with flying colors before the curve), and the motion for my admission to practice (put forward by my brother, also a lawyer), started, "My sister has many issues, but the one before the Court today is that of her admission to the State Bar of Michigan."

And somehow yes, they do let me practice law.

#i try to to brag about myself because that is a midwestern seven deadly sin #but i will be honest: i am excellent at school. I could get a degree in anything #even things i would be genuinely terrible at #because im just really good at school.#it is not a useful skillset post graduation.#anyway my brother and i were in law school with an overlap of about a year and a half and our peers fucking hated it #because he went through and booked a ton of classes #breaking the curve kind of a lot #and just when they thought they were rid of him and the curve could go back to normal: here i come with the same bullshit #also to be clear the Bar is two full days . i didn't fall asleep three times in like a one hour test.#.... although i have also done that.

Depressed #and there i was after that at Liberal Arts College. the 4 years i spent there were a clusterfuck #but like a good and outrageous and lively clusterfuck #and i graduated in may this year and when i came back it was for the first time in 10 months. it was like. what da hell #like i love being here in specific ways but there is also the pain of being seen as something you're not constantly #can i blame them? i ask myself this every day. for most of my ex classmates and relatives i Am the only not cis person they know #idk my lottery number was bad this corner of society really is that bad #and so its like. idk dawg anyway i aint offering solutions but u get it like it fucks with your head to be misgendered either which way 24/#but to leave them behind would be to leave the only people who knew me for the first 19 years behind. and thats a lot of my life #i am 23!!!!!! ough #anyway. whatever. if u liked it i have a ko-fi #reblogos appreciated

to natsu, nalu is basically canon

i've had this thought for a while now but

i think natsu dragneel already has it in his mind that he and lucy are.... Together together. Girlfriend Boyfriend. Husband Wife. Married With Kids.

one day lucy gathers enough guts to confess to natsu and he just goes "lucy i dont get it why are you confessing are we not already together but yes i love you too you weirdo"

and lucy is like ... "what did you just say"

and we finally figure out that natsu basically thought they were dating this whole time. and lucy's losing her mind and going "why didnt you SAY anything???" and natsu, dumb dork that he is, just goes "you have to say it???"

AND I GET IT!!! like,,, she's his number one priority every time, sleeps at her house, spends most of his time with her, puts his head in his lap when he's motion sick, saves/catches her multiple times, basically has seen her naked (and only ever showed physical attraction to her and no one else), considers her his best friend and with happy they make this little quaint family, and he doesn't understand why she thought they weren't together. she rewrote his book ffs and saved his life.

HE UPROOTED A WHOLE RAINBOW TREE AND SAILED IT DOWN A RIVER FOR HER. even natsu dragneel, "i love my nakama" incarnate, wouldn't do that for anyone else. so of course he thinks they're together. and lucy just thinks they're tethering on the edge of romance and friendship.

in every universe there was, natsu and lucy were always together. edo-natsu and edo-lucy who have a kid now, and even in "fairy nail" nakku and lusha.

they're just meant to be Together in every way sense and form. natsu knows that!!!
