would dbf rafe and bitchy reader ever get together?
ohhhmygosh yes. bitchy reader is so headass her parents have adapted to her personality, telling rafe to please not mind their daughter's sailor mouth and off-putting comments but he gets a kick out of it. he's thinking about different ways to put a brat in her place and she is thinking about how to get on this man's dick so she is constantly riling him up lol. i think shy reader has to be eased into it and bitchy reader is the type to show up in a nightie on his front porch talking about how she got lost on her way home or some other bullshit lie.. would you look at that it's storming out and her car is out of gas so looks like she'll be spending the night!

omg please write more dilf!rafe !!! Im becoming obsessed. I want more details of moms whos crushing om him at games and more about the kids and ofc smut between wifey and dilfy
to be his wife 😭😍
The stares that Rafe got as he walked through the crowded football stadium was something that he was used to. He didn’t mind either as of course he had always been a little cocky. He was gorgeous to look at with his towering height, ocean eyes, and white smile that he didn’t show often but when he did, it could make someone fall in love.
He was off limits and everyone knew that. Some of the moms couldn’t help but ogle him as he stood on the sidelines cheering his son on. He had just gotten a haircut after work, so his buzz was fresh. His clothes always fit just right against his muscular body, and they could only imagine what was underneath all of it. Of course they were envious of you, everything about you they wanted to have. Especially when it would be halftime and he would come climbing up the bleachers to greet you with a sweet kiss. He definitely wasn’t going to embarrass his kids, but his lips definitely lingered for a little longer than they should have.
“The kids are gonna be gone tonight. Yeah? I know you love to scream.” He rasped in your ear, pulling back with a dirty smirk.
With your daughter spending the night at a one of her cheer friend’s house and your son hanging out with a few of his teammates, Rafe kept his promise like you knew he would. Your hair was wrapped tightly around his fist, his other large hand pressed down into your back as he fucked you deep. You were thankful the kids weren’t home as you couldn’t control the moans and cries that were coming out of your mouth.
“Yeah that’s shit you like, ain’t it baby?” His voice low and breaths quick as he made you take his heavy cock. Your ass smacked against his toned stomach with each thrust, your cunt coating his length in a delicious sheen.
You gasped, your moans increasing the harder he hit your sweet spot. Your manicured nails dug into the expensive duvet that you were about to make a mess on if he didn’t stop. Not that you wanted him to as he made you feel so fucking good. He tightened the grip on your hair and brought you up for your back to meet his toned chest. “Gonna cum all over daddy’s cock? Fuck… you’re so fucking good to me baby. You deserve to be fucked and filled all goddamn night.” He mumbled into your neck, tongue grazing your damp skin as he felt you start to squirt.

omggg I saw that you are taking requests for pjo x obx and I just had to come here with one.
Imagine reader is the daughter of Apollo (maybe Cleo’s twin) and she they have arrived there a couple of weeks ago, rafe was not too keen on her but they get paired in one of those games/missions on the camp and after that he just decides that she ‘needs’ someone to protect her? Like even though she’s Cleo’s sister she’s more quiet and not as bold as her twin? Idk how else to explain it lol
I love your writing and I believe that you’ll do an amazing job if you’re comfortable with this one 🫶🏻
TYSM FOR THIS I LOVE IT SM AHHH!! ❤️ im so glad u like my writing !!
𝒞𝒶𝓉𝒸𝒽 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝑔ℴ𝓁𝒹 𝓁𝒶𝓊𝓇ℯ𝓁𝓈
ok this game was literally one of my favorites for no reason lol, it was just silly and fun ?
Masterlist
You had gotten to camp sort of late, something some campers disliked. You quickly learned and caught on about the cabins and their children.
For example, the Ares children were people who you would want to be paired up with in a game like this. And the Demeter children were people you wouldn’t.
You were shocked when you heard that you’d been picked for the game.
“You know you’re getting partnered with Rafe cameron for the game tonight?” One of your friends told you at lunch, your fork dropped and you stared at her.
“No way.”
“Yes way.”
—-
“Hey, the pairings out.” One of his siblings told him, sitting down next to him. Rafe stopped his movements, turning to his siblings.
“Who am I with?”
“You’re with that Apollo girl, y/n.”
“You serious right now? An Apollo kid for the gold laurels?” He groaned in annoyance, scanning the tables for you. “I mean, I met the girl and she’s nice, but nice isn’t exactly gonna get us a win.”
“Well, I mean, her sister’s pretty badass. She beat half the kids here, including some of us.”
“I guess.” He grumbled, sighing and continuing to eat.
Later that day, he actively looked for you, even asking around. Eventually, he found you, giggling among some of your friends when he came along.
He looked pissed off about something, his hands shoved into his pockets and he towered over your entire friend group. Everyone’s smiles disappeared, and everyone looked up at the man.
“Y/n, right?” Was the first thing he said to you, everyone looking at you and back at the man.
“Uhm… yeah.” You told him quietly. “You’re Rafe?”
He just nodded, waiting on your friends to leave. Which they did. They quickly dispersed when he glanced at them.
“We met before, right?” He asked you, scratching the bell of his neck.
“Uhm.. at that one party.”
“Right…” he had accidentally spilled a drink on your shirt, making you leave the party before he could even apologize or get a word out. “you saw that we’re partnered together for the game?”
“Yeah.” You nodded this time, not sure what else to say.
“We could train together, for a little. I’ll tell you how the game works and shit.” He suggested, and your heart raced.
“I-I mean- sure. Yeah. Okay.” You stuttered, eyebrows raising. “But I- I need to grab my sword and stuff. It’s back at my cabin.”
He nodded, and followed you there. He stood at the doorway of your cabin, leaning against it. You siblings whispered and looked at you and him.
“Where you going now?” Cleo asked you, furrowing an eyebrow as she watched you all over to Rafe.
“Uhm- I’m just going to train. For later. See you, cleo.” You gave her a small wave, looking down at the ground as you followed Rafe’s
One thing he noticed while training with you, you were good, but you weren’t exactly your sister. You were quieter, not as bold.
—-
He disarmed you, knocking your sword to the ground, holding his to your neck. He raised it so it hit your chin.
You both stared at each other for a moment before he lowered his sword, your cheeks warming up as you stumbled back a step.
He didn’t say a word, just stared at you before snapping out of his daze.
“C’mon. We should get ready.” He told you, turning around, grabbing his sword, holding it against the back of his neck and beginning to walk.
You fumbled for your own sword, quickly grabbing it and running to catch up with Rafe, who stole glances at you every once in a while.
You all met up where it would begin, while Chiron walked you through the game. There was 6 cages, four other teams.
“The cages have 6 ten foot scorpions in them.”
Your eyes widened, looking at Rafe and back at the cages.
“Each of them have a package on their tails, your objective is to find the one with the golden laurel. If you find it, you must slay the scorpion in order to win.
“Kill it? They look huge!” You whispered to Rafe.
“There’s nothing to worry about.” He shrugged nonchalantly. “Promise, these scorpions aren’t getting near us. Just follow my lead and you’ll be fine.” He told you, getting in a ready stance with his sword, waiting for the scorpions to be released.
You did the same, looking at him and mirroring his stance, eyes widening and heart thumping against your chest as you watched the scorpions get released.
It wasn’t long before you both got cornered by two scorpions, Rafe had an arm extended behind him, putting it protectively in front of you and motioning for you to get behind him.
They were huge, you were practically shaking in fear and Rafe could feel it when you pressed your body to his.
He glanced down, looking for anything to distract them with. He saw a pretty good sized rock. He glanced over his shoulder, whispering to you.
“Pick the rocks up and throw them towards the kids over there.” He told you, you nodded, bending over and picking up multiple rocks, throwing the rocks repeatedly into the large field.
The distraction had worked, both scorpions turned around and you both took the opportunity.
He pointed to the package to the one on your side and he went to the one on his. You both successfully untied and grabbed both packages, Rafe ripping his open to find nothing.
You ripped it opened, finding the golden laurel just as the scorpion had turned around.
You held it up, looking at Rafe who smiled at you. Not enough time to celebrate however, as the scorpion noticed you and whipped its tail around violently, its eyes set on you.
Your smile faltered, face turning into an expression with fear again. Rafe’s smile fell, quickly getting back into his fighting mode, his grip tightening on his sword as he dashed over to you.
The scorpions claws snapped, all legs moving towards you. You fumbled for your sword, grabbing it and holding it in front of you.
You swiped at its hard claws, but Rafe was quick to be in front of you again. He furrowed his eyebrows, examining the scorpion and thinking of how to kill it.
“The legs. Go for the legs.” He told you quietly, you nodded again, focusing up and the both of you ran to the sides of the scorpion, chopping off its legs all while avoiding the stinger.
The scorpion was now struggling to move, Rafe hopping on it, and stabbing it repeatedly until it fell.
He panted, looking up at the sky, shutting his eyes as they announced you both were the winners.
The corners of his mouth twisted up, and he opened his eyes, looking over to you. You were smiling right back at him.
Maybe you weren’t so bad, he thought as he hopped off the giant scorpion, making his way to you, both of you standing next to each other with smiles as medals were wrapped around your necks.
“You did good.” He told you when Chiron walked away.
You smiled at him. “You did most of it.”
“Nah, you found it. Give yourself some credit.” He told you, patting your shoulder and walking away to celebrate with his friends and siblings.

All credit to @ipetite69 for the idea of this
Author's note: I put on my lana playlist while writing this 🤭 this went on kinda longer than I planned but it's okay. I kind of lost motivation towards the end because i ran out of ideas
Word count: 2521
Rafe was the first one who spotted you when he was at the golf course with Kelce and topper. You honestly were just there for moral support for your friends having no interest in the sport. As your friend walked by you happened to look towards the group of guys only to see Rafe looking back at you. What you didn't know was that Rafe knew you were going to be his.
“Rafe hit the ball man it's your turn”
Rafe turned his head and said yeah yeah going to take his shot. Rafe looked between u and the group kind of trying to make a decision.
He then decided to forget about the game and walked over to your group of friends.
Where are you going man? Yelled topper as he gave Kelce a look of confusion. They stood there to watch where he was headed, becoming more clear as he got closer. As he approached, u sitting on the golf cart playing on ur phone. you looked up as u could hear someone walking closer.
“Hey im rafe, what's ur name?”
Confused, you answered- “my name is y’n.”
“Well y/n it's nice to meet you.” he said as he held his hand out for you to shake.
As you stood up to greet him the height difference became obvious. “Nice to meet you rafe.” You said with a smile on your face.
“you new here because i've never seen you around here before?”
“I've lived here my entire life Really? Are you sure? I would definitely remember if i've seen you around.”
“ Well maybe we don't have the same interest so you wouldn't see me around.”
“Well I'll definitely remember you now. He said with a smirk. You know you should come to this party I'm having later tonight, yeah?”
“A party? I don't know..” you said as you looked over towards your friends to see them looking back at you.
“You can bring your friends if you want, I don't mind.”
One of your friends that was listening in on the conversation joined “who wouldn't miss out on a party at your place?” she said, twirling her hair in her hand. Obviously flirting.
“Hand me your phone.” Keeping his eyes on you.
“What?”
“So I can put my number in and let me know if you come to the party, yeah?”
You looked at your friend before you pulled out your phone to unlock it.
“See u at the party” he said, maintaining eye contact with u before he started to walk away.
“I never said I was going for sure” you yelled out with a smile on ur face.
Walking back, Rafe had a smile on his face also.
“So uh” he began as he scratched the back of his head-
“What was that?” topper said when rafe was in ears reach of hearing him.
“It's okay- also guys night is canceled.”
Before topper and kelce could complain, Rafe said “we're gonna have a party today.”
“I hope you invited them.” said Kelce, nodding his head towards your group.
“You know I did.” rafe said in a matter of fact way.
Later that day u and ur friends were walking towards rafe’s door already hearing the loud music. Know your friends were probably going to leave you alone at the party you decided to text rafe.
-So we decided to come to the party after all, where are you?-
After walking around the party you finally spot rafe- with his hair cut. “Hey! When did you find the time to cut your hair?”
“What?”
“Earlier? At the golf course.”
He laughed. “That's cute.” he pushed your hair out of your face. “I don't go to the golf cou- ohh wait. You have the wrong person. I’m roman.”
“Is this some type of joke or something? Because it isn't funny. Like at all.”
“I'm serious.” He said with a smile. “But here follow me, I'll show you where rafe is.”
He grabbed your hand and led you upstairs. You found yourself in a room. He opened it as a gesture for you to walk inside first. You gave him a look as u walked in scanning the room for rafe.
“Where is he?”
“Wait here, he’ll be up here just wait, alright? Sit on the bed or something.” he said as shut the door behind him.
You took the time to look around the room. As you looked around the room you figured it was a guest room that you were inside, wondering why roman didn’t bring you to rafe’s room to wait for him. After what seemed like hours that went by someone finally walked in. you were looking out the window down at the party that was happening on the ground below. “y/n! You made it!!” While walking up to you so he could lean in for a hug.
It was starting to become clear that he was drunk or on something. “I see you met my brother roman!” he sort of yelled as he slung his arm around your shoulder and brought you closer to roman.
You grabbed his arm to support yourself since it all kinda happened fast. Roman nodded his head to the bedroom door hinting to rafe he wanted to talk somewhere you weren't around.”Here sit down wait here yeah?”
“Oh alright then i'll just wait here.” Rafe and Roman stood tall over you as they both looked at you. Rafe looks at roman with a smirk and moves his hand to run over the top of ur head with a smirk on his face. Roman watching this whole thing going down.
“Cmon” rafe said as he hung his arm over romans shoulder walking out with him shutting the door behind him. Roman turns to rafe giving him a knowing look.
“No”
“Yes”
“No.”
“why not?”
“You always do this Ro. I let you have the last one- but this one is different. There are plenty downstairs for you to choose from”
after spending about 5 mins going back and forth roman says- “wait hold on a second.”
“What?”
“Why don't we share?”
“Share?”
“Yeah share, I didn't say anything else.”
“That's crazy. Why would I want to share someone with my twin brother? That would be weird besides she probably wouldn't like that.”
“How are we supposed to know if we dont ask or something?”
Biting his nail as he stood there to think this through for a minute. Roman places his hands on Rafe's shoulders, “besides what did mom and dad always tell us? If we can't come to an agreement” Roman said. “Then we shared it” rafe joined in.
“it's not like we would be doing that with each other- we would just have her- but at the same time?”
“Yeah like a threesome basically” spitting the words out to hurry and help rafe understand.
“I mean if it's just her and not us doing any of that weird shit with each other i guess it could be alright.
Roman opened the door and looked at rafe to find rafe already looking back at him.
“ Do u wanna-“
“ no it was your idea so u can say it.” He went back to biting his nails.
“Okay then we have a proposition for you.
“What is it?”
Rafe stared intensely at you studying how you would react to what roman was saying.
“Well you see the main problem is we both want you. And I know you don't know us that well since you just moved here.”
You cut him off and say “I didn't just move here. I've lived here literally my whole life.”
Roman pauses. “Really?”
“That's what I said.” Rafe added with a laugh.
“Anyway, back to what I was saying. Basically me and rafe-” he pauses as he sees rafe sat next to you still watching how you would react.
“What was I saying? Oh. but yeah you should know me and rafe grew up being told we always were told if we can't share then we can't have it at all.”
“But here's the problem.” Rafe said, taking over the conversation. “We both want you and we aren't willing to let you go just yet," he said in a hushed voice.
“So now what.” you looked between the two.
“Well what happens next is up to you," he said but when you looked over to where he was standing. he wasn't there anymore. Instead he was on his knee (like he was in s3 with kiera) his hand gently running over your knee.
“How is that up to me?”
“Well princess” rafe chimed in “let us both have you at the same time.”
“What? That would be odd. Plus I don't want rumors or anything like that going around about me.”
Roman says “nothing like that wouldn't happen with us. The worst that could happen is us making you feel 100 times better than anyone else has.”
Roman stands up to sit on the bed on the other side next to you.
“c'mon pretty let us help you.”
He knew he was pushing his limits but he decided to do it anyway, he pressed his lips against your shoulder, you breathed in as u looked at him. you then looked at rafe.
“Wait, you're serious about this?”
“as serious as we can be sweetheart," Roman said, grabbing your hand.
“C'mon let us help you.”
“I mean okay I guess” as u looked down at your hands.
“Hey, keep that pretty head up don't let it fall down" said roman meanwhile rafe had started kissing your neck the moment u agreed.
“Stand up for me real quick so I can take this off of you.” Rafe whispered in your ear.
Rafe worked on unzipping your dress while Roman worked on taking off your heels.
“Here, let's make you more comfortable," Rafe said in a hushed voice.
After roman unzips the dress he helps you keep your balance while you wiggle your way out of it. Roman sucks the spot in between ur neck knowing it will leave a purple bruise by the time they are done with you. You reach back to undo your bra but roman smacks your hand out the way so u retract your hands to rafe’s shoulders. Roman takes it upon himself to take your bra off himself. As soon as roman did that rafe moved closer to the edge of the bed to suck a purple bruise in the middle of your chest. you lean back into roman as he moves to the other side of ur neck.
“Lay down.” Rafe instructed.
you walked to the left side of the bed and crawled to the middle of it. Wait. rafe moved the pillows around to place one under ur head and threw the other one to the side that isn't relevant. After placing the pillow under your head, Rafe leaned down to kiss you. He put his arm on the side of your head so that way he wouldn't put all of his weight on you. Roman got his shirt off then reached for your underwear to pull it off. He didn't waste any time before his lips were on ur thigh, kissing his way up to the place u needed him the most. When he got there you let off a small gasp, causing you to pull away from Rafe only for you to pull him back down, keeping your hand at the back of his hair- deepening the kiss. Roman circles his tongue around ur clit and adds one finger to see how wet u were. He pulls back to sit on his knees. and stares at you for a minute. He then looks over towards rafe i think she likes having us both u think/ rafe also pulls away. You looked down to where roman was sitting and before you can look back to rafe you feel yourself being dragged to the middle of the bed then flipped onto all 4’s. You looked up and roman was there in front of you.
Roman unzips his pants “here this should give you something to do” as his hand rested on top of ur head gently guiding you to where his other hand was.
“I don't understand why you're so sweet to her; open up.” Rafe said as he reached over you and pushed your head to where Roman wanted you.
you stuck out your tongue to lick upwards on his cock. Going down as far as you can when you reach his tip. Roman gathers ur hair into a quick, messy ponytail, making you set the paste he wanted. Rafe drags a hand across your ass then slapping it; squeezing it with both of his hands. Sometime when you hadn't noticed; rafe took off his clothes, but you did notice when you felt him at your entrance. He slowly pushed inside of you, leaning his head back with a low groan as he did so. He moved out to push slowly in again. Testing to see how you would react. You took your mouth off of roman and rested your head down still moving roman in ur hand.
“Hey hey keep ur head up” roman said as he lifted your head back up moving the hair from yourself back behind your ear then tapping the side of ur cheek lightly; letting you know to continue.
You slowly move your hand up and down his cock and circle your thumb around his head. He softly groans as he grabs your hand to bring you to finish him off. Roman was getting closer and closer. You can tell since he started to fuck himself into ur mouth. his thrust became sloppier the closer he got.
You were close and Rafe could feel it. He moved his hand to the clit and rubbed right circles so y’all would finish around the same time.
“Fuck” Roman said with his voice strung out as he held your head, not pulling out of your mouth yet. as he reached his peak. After a moment he pulled out of you then you and rafe finished just a moment after.
When Rafe finished he leaned his head on your back while you both collected your breath. Roman buckled his pants back up. He grabbed you by the cheeks and kissed you. He put his number in your phone then set it on the dresser before he walked out.
Rafe pulled out and started to get dressed.
“We should do this again but you know probably just us," he said with a smile. You were at a loss of words as you looked for the clothes the pair threw around the room.
What have you gotten yourself into you thought to yourself as rafe walked out.

heyy! can you do an angsty one where rafe and the reader are “friends,” for a long time, they’ve been in the same friend group and she’s been with love with him for a while now, and he knows and uses that for his advantage. she always does stuff for him, help him whenever he needed and more, and he treats her pretty badly/rudely in return. their friends (top n kelce,) always try to tell him to stop and more and finally she’s had enough she confronts him and show how much he was actually draining her, and he acts like he doesn’t care but he does realize what he was doing, but meanwhile he’s reflecting on his actions, y/n is getting closer to jj? thanks lol the end is up to you. love u and ur fics <3
a/n: hi love! im so sorry it took me so long to write this. I hope you love it!! it took me forever to finish hahaha but i loved writing it!
Warnings: swearing, underage drinking
my writing
pretty damn lucky - rafe cameron
You sigh as you pull Rafe's fresh sheets from the dryer, breathing in the scent of the detergent mixed with the scent of him. He and the boys had way too much to drink last night, which resulted in Rafe getting sick all over his bed when they got home. You had stripped his sheets immediately and put them in the wash, then made a makeshift bed for Rafe on the floor with all of his blankets.
He had grunted at you in return for all your work, collapsing down on the floor and passing out before you could even say goodnight to him.
You had washed the sheets once again this morning when you woke up, then stuck them in the dryer and waited on them.
Topper groans on the couch as you pass him on your way to Rafe's room. You stop and chuckle, watching as he hesitantly opens his eyes.
"Oh, fuck," Topper grumbles as he sits up, clutching his head.
"I think you guys brought the bar home with you."
He glances up, eyes meeting yours, and groans. You laugh and step over to him, taking a seat on the couch beside him.
"Can I get you anything?" you ask him.
"Yeah, a time machine. Don't let me drink so much," he whines, collapsing back down on the couch. You stand, letting out a laugh.
"Water and aspirin. Got it."
You walk up the stairs and stop in front of Rafe's bedroom door, knocking on it lightly before you peak your head in. He's still laying on the floor, but you can't tell if he's awake or not. You stop inside, warm sheets in hand, and close the door behind you. He grunts at the noise, but it's not enough to make him open his eyes.
"Hey," you say to him, "I washed your sheets. How are you feeling?"
Rafe moves on the floor, opening his eyes only enough to see you, then rolls back to his initial spot and closes his eyes again.
"Just put the sheets back on, I want my bed."
You sigh and nod your head, stepping over to his bed to start making it. You watch him as you work, laying on the floor, mouth parted slightly and eyebrows furrowed as he tries to focus on not throwing up again.
"Okay," you whisper once his bed is made, "Come on. I'll help you."
Rafe allows you to wrap your arms around his torso, helping him stand from off the floor. He leans all his weight on you as you two stumble over to his bed, then he collapses onto it. You cover him with his comforter and then fix his hair so it's not sitting in his eyes anymore. He doesn't say anything at your movements.
"I'll get you some water and some medicine. Be back in a minute," you whisper to him. He just nods as best he can.
You hurry back down the stairs, rushing past Topper and into the kitchen. You grab two water bottles out of the fridge and then rifle through the cabinets until you find a bottle of aspirin. As you walk from the kitchen to Topper on the couch, you stop in your tracks.
"Topper," you say, your voice authoritative, "Where is Kelce?"
Topper laughs, which is how you know it's bad. You hadn't noticed that they were one friend light when they stumbled in last night, mostly because you had been too worried about Rafe to be concerned with where Topper and Kelce crashed.
"He fell down outside last night. I'm pretty sure we just left him there."
You sigh loudly, handing him a bottle of water and aspirin as you swear and rush to the front door. As you approach, you can already see him, face up in the Cameron's new flower bed that Rose had worked so hard to make perfect. You open the door and rush to Kelce, annoyed with the boys for not even telling you he was out here.
"Kelce?" you question, stirring him awake, "You alive in there?"
Kelce sits up, as if you'd awakened him from a dream, and glances around. He looks at you and then down to the clothes he's in, and you watch as his eyes widen.
"Those motherfuckers did not leave me out here," he gasps.
"Kelce, I'm so sorry. I had no idea you were out here-"
"I'm going to kill them - ow."
He tries to stand up, but the throbbing of his head makes him fall back down into the dirt again. You grab onto his arm and try to help him up, noting how you do most of the work. When he's finally upright, you brush off the dirt from his back and then lead him inside.
"Shit," he mutters, "My stomach. I'm gonna need to eat."
"I'm on it," you tell him, leading him into the living room and placing him on the couch next to Topper.
"Hey, man," Topper greets, "Rose sure will be happy you observed the flowers so...closely."
"Shut the fuck up, Top," Kelce snaps, reaching over and punching Topper in the chest. He groans at his head and sits back again, making you laugh.
"All right," you declare, picking up the aspirin and water bottle for Rafe, "Eggs? Toast? Bacon? Sound good?"
Kelce nods his head and Topper looks at you, already looking better with the water and medicine in his system.
"Hey, thank you, Y/N. For always taking care of us," Topper smiles at you.
"Yeah," Kelce agrees, "I'd still be lying in a bush outside if it weren't for you. Thank you."
You smile at them and shake your head, "Of course, boys. Back in a minute. Kelce, don't kill Top. Please."
Kelce grunts, telling you he's still debating if he will or not. You laugh and then rush back up the stairs, hoping Rafe is still alive up there. You knock softly on his door when you reach it, not wanting to just bust in on him.
"Rafe?" you say when you walk in, seeing him laying in the exact same position he had been when you left him.
"What took you so long?" he grumbles.
"I'm sorry," you say, sitting down beside him on his bed, "You guys left Kelce outside and-"
"Do you have the aspirin or what?"
You sigh and nod, handing him the pill bottle and a bottle of water. He sits up, hair messy and eyes only half open, and pours three pills into his hand. You stare at him, observing his sharp jaw line and his soft skin, and you can't help but wonder what it would be like to be able to feel him. Touch him. Love on him the way you've been dreaming about since the day you met him.
"Do you want me to make you something to eat?"
Rafe swallows the pills, then brings his eyes up to meet yours, "That breakfast place I love. Why don't you go pick us all up something? Card's in my wallet."
He lays back down, which is his way of excusing you from the room. You just nod your head and grab his card out of his wallet.
"And move the seat back in my truck when you get back. I always hit my head when I get in after you."
"All right," you say quietly, wishing he'd at least say a 'please' or 'thank you'.
You take orders from Topper and Kelce, then hurry out to Rafe's truck. You have to move the seat way up in order to drive the truck, and you make a mental note to move it back when you get back to the house.
You pull up to the restaurant and climb out of the truck, fumbling with the keys and your purse and Rafe's card, too wrapped up in yourself to notice the blonde boy standing about five feet from you.
"Damn, I didn't expect someone as pretty as you to hop out of that truck," JJ smirks at you, watching your eyes shoot up to him.
You smile, "Hi, JJ."
"How are you?" he asks, cheeky look on his face.
You set your hands on your hips, keys and card tucked between your fingers, as you observe what you're wearing for the first time. You'd snuck one of Rafe's Kildare Island shirts from his dresser last night and had on jean shorts underneath.
"Y'know," you shrug, "You like this place, too?"
"Ah, little pretentious, but the food's acceptable," he teases, "You eating alone?"
"No. Just picking up food for Rafe and his friends."
"What, are you his assistant or something? Tell Cameron to pick up his own food," JJ huffs.
He'd never tell you, not wanting to upset you, but he's hated watching you run around the island as Rafe's bitch since you met him. JJ's been dying to hang out with you, even asked you a few times, but you always say no because you're on some sort of mission for Rafe.
"It's just a breakfast order," you reply, starting to inch toward the restaurant.
"Just a breakfast order," he shrugs, "Just getting him a beer every time he asks, just following him around like a lost puppy, just-"
"Okay," you stop him, "I'm a big girl, JJ. I can take care of myself."
You turn and start to walk away from him, trying to brush off his 'lost puppy' remark. He groans loudly, which is enough to earn your attention back.
"Prove it," he yells out, making you turn, "Tonight. There's a thing down at the beach. Meet me."
You start to shake your head, but he steps toward you and stops you. He runs a hand through his blonde hair, messing it up even more than it already is.
"JJ-"
"Come on, Y/N. Take the Kook chains off for one night. Please. Rafe can do his own dishes and get his own drinks."
You sigh, glancing down at your feet before back up to him, "Maybe."
"Ah- you know what? That's better than a no. I'll take it."
You nod at him, trying your best not to smile too wide, then point to the building. You start to back off, but you keep your eyes fixed on the blonde boy.
"What time? You know, if I decide to come."
JJ smiles wider than he had the entire conversation, "Seven."
You smile back at him, then turn and walk away before you can get even more wrapped up in this boy.
"What the hell took you so long?" Rafe questions as you walk through the door with several bags filled with food.
"Sorry," you sigh at him, "Got caught up."
Kelce and Topper stand up and step to you, taking the bags from you. You thank them quietly, watching as Rafe rolls his eyes and stands from his place on the couch.
"Yeah, never mind the fact that I'm starving to death," he mutters.
"Rafe, come on, man," Topper smacks Rafe on the chest, trying to get him to chill out.
"Yeah, quit being a dick," Kelce tells him.
Topper starts to unload the food from the bags while Kelce leans down and gives you a friendly kiss on the cheek. You smile gently, glancing up to see Rafe watching with his jaw clenched. You try to put distance in between you, but Rafe doesn't seem to care about your efforts.
"Thanks for running to get it, Y/N," Topper smiles to you.
"You're welcome."
"Did you put my seat back, at least?" Rafe asks you, swiping his car keys from the counter where you set them.
"Yes, of course," you reply.
"Of course," he mutters, "You never do."
"Rafe," Kelce says authoritatively, holding his hands out to his sides as if to ask what the hell he's doing.
"I'll fix you a plate," you tell Rafe, setting a hand on Kelce's arm as if to thank him.
Rafe exhales loudly, then steps away and back into the living room. Kelce rolls his eyes at Rafe, giving you a pat on the shoulder. You make Rafe a plate, a little bit of everything, then follow Topper into the living room to take it to him.
"Quit being an asshole to her, man," Topper mumbles to Rafe, slapping him on the back of his head.
"Don't fucking hit me," Rafe growls at Topper.
"Here you go," you hand Rafe a plate. He takes it from you without a word or a glance, inspecting the food you've given him.
"Where's your plate, love?" Topper asks you as Kelce sits down beside him, "I'll make you one. Sit down."
"No," you say quickly, earning the attention of all three boys, "I'm not staying. I gotta get home, I kinda have plans later,"
"What plans?" Rafe asks, judgment present in his voice.
The boys watch the look on your face and Topper and Kelce immediately erupt into fits of laughs and hollers.
"Boy plans, huh?" Kelce smiles at you before he shoves bacon into his mouth.
Your face flushes as you stand in front of them, glancing at Rafe to see his reaction. His jaw is clenched tightly and he's stopping eating all together.
"Who's the lucky guy, Y/N?" Topper snickers.
"It's not a big deal, you guys."
"Why am I jealous right now?" Kelce teases you. You look over at him and roll your eyes, hiding your smile from him.
"What plans?" Rafe repeats himself, raising his voice. Your eyes shoot over to him, watching his expression.
"Um, I'm going down to this thing at the beach," you say, looking down at the floor. Rafe sets his plate down on the coffee table in front of him, not wanting his food anymore.
"Are we invited?" Rafe asks, already knowing the answer. He just wants to make you say it.
"I- it's not my thing," you stutter, "I'm just meeting some people."
"Who?" Topper asks through his food.
"Uh, JJ Maybank and his friends-"
Rafe scoffs, interrupting you, "You're ditching us to hang out with Pogues?"
"I'm not ditching you, Rafe," you frown.
"Funny, that's the way it looks."
"It's just a few drinks on the beach, why are you getting so bent out of shape?" you question, watching as Topper and Kelce squirm, growing more uncomfortable.
"Bent out of shape? " he repeats, voice as if he doesn't believe you just said that, "You're the one driving across the island for shitty ass beer-"
"It's not like I was asking your opinion on my plans-"
"No, no, you were just informing us that you have plans to fuck JJ Maybank, understood."
"Rafe-" you start, but stop when Kelce sits up straight in his chair and speaks.
"What the fuck, Rafe?" Kelce stares at his best friend, "Why are you so mean to Y/N all the time? She doesn't have to hang out with us every day, and honestly, I wouldn't if you treated me the way you treat her."
"Oh, fuck off, Kelce, you don't know shit," Rafe waves him off.
Topper glances at you, then over to Rafe and speaks up as well, "He's right, Rafe. You're an asshole to her. And not just today, but a lot lately."
Rafe sits back on the couch and crosses his arms in front of his chest, rolling his eyes.
"You two don't know anything," he huffs, "Y/N and I are fine."
"Actually," you say, earning Rafe's complete attention, "I don't think we are."
He stands up now, stepping over to you and grabbing onto your wrist, "Let's discuss this in private."
You glance at the boys, trying to offer them a silent 'thank you for trying', then allow Rafe to pull you into the guest room down the hall. He slams the door once you two are inside, then runs his hand through his hair before he speaks.
"What the fuck are you doing, embarrassing me in front of the two of them?" he scoffs.
Your mouth falls open at how that is his main concern after you just told him you have doubts that the two of you are okay. Your heart sinks, watching as he paces the room. You watch the way his jaw is clenched and how his eyes are frantic as he tries to figure out how to fix things with the boys.
"I'm sorry," you say quietly.
Rafe seems to not hear you, "Jesus, now the two of them are gonna be up my ass about you for the rest of the day."
"Rafe-"
"And what the hell is up with you partying with JJ Maybank? Do you not realize how that could look, you hanging out with him?"
"Oh, my God!" you yell, not being able to take any more of his bullshit, "I don't give a shit, Rafe! I mean, seriously. I spent my entire night last night and my entire morning taking care of your ass. Because I care about you. And now, I say I want to do something for myself, and you act like I'm being selfish? Are you kidding me?"
"Oh, please," Rafe shakes his head, "You're always taking care of us, don't act like you're all noble."
"I'm not trying to be noble. I'm trying to tell you how I feel-"
"Well, I didn't fucking ask, all right?" he yells.
You frown and step back from him as if his words struck you across the face. He reaches up and pinches the bridge of his nose, trying his best to control his frustration.
"Rafe," you choke out, feeling your emotions as they rise up, "I care about you so much. But, I can't keep walking on eggshells around you. I have done everything you've asked me to do, I've been a good friend to you and I-"
"You what?" he growls at you, stepping forward and grabbing your shoulders.
"I love you, you asshole," you whisper, watching the way his eyes soften at your words, "I love you. But I'm drained. I'm exhausted. And I'm sick of being treated like some bitch who just follows you around and hopes you'll throw her a bone."
Rafe stares at you for a moment, and for the first time in a long time, you genuinely cannot tell what he's thinking. After a few seconds, he releases your shoulders and lightly shoves you away from him.
"You should leave," he says, staring at the floor.
"Really?"
"Yeah, you gotta get ready for your big date night, right?"
You laugh sarcastically at his comment, feeling stupid to have expected him to say anything different than that. He sets his hands on his hips and sighs, not bothering to look up at you. You lick your lips and take a deep breath, debating whether or not to stay and fight with him. For him.
"Fuck you, Rafe," you say.
His shoulders fall but he doesn't look up, so you turn and walk out of the room. Topper and Kelce are standing right outside the door, shocked when you suddenly emerge. You roll your eyes at them, not surprised they had been listening. They don't bother trying to stop you, because honestly, they'd leave Rafe, too.
You rush out of the house and slam the door behind you. Topper usually drives you home, but you don't bother to go back inside and ask. You can walk, it's not far.
As much as you love Rafe, as much as you'd kill to be with him, you can't condone the way he's been treating you. You know that you deserve better, just as Topper and Kelce have been reminding him. Better is exactly what you plan to have.
The beach isn't terribly busy when you arrive. You know by the time the sun sets completely, it will be packed. You spot JJ's blonde hair towering above almost everyone on the beach, watching as he laughs with his friends and tips a red cup against his lips. You walk over to him before allowing yourself to hesitate and think about leaving again.
Your fight with Rafe had completely drained your energy, and if you didn't feel like getting completely drunk to forget about it, you'd leave. JJ spies you as you approach and grins widely, starting over to you.
"No fucking way," he smiles, "Can't believe you showed, Mrs. Cameron!"
"Ha ha," you grumble, shaking your head and trying to hide a smile.
"How'd you escape from the prison that is Kook land?"
You roll your eyes, reaching up and taking the cup from his hand. You gulp it down before he can even object, and when you look up at him again, he's staring at you with his mouth wide open.
"Okay. Got it. Drinking, no talking," he reaches down and takes your hand, leading you over to the keg.
"Lots of drinking," you mutter, watching as JJ pretends he didn't hear you.
JJ grabs two beers from the guy handing them out and hands one to you, returning his hand to yours. You start to walk back over to JJ's friends, but he pulls on your hand to keep you where he wants you.
"What are you doing? Don't you want to hang out with your friends?" you ask him.
He shakes his head, "No, I'd rather figure out what's going on with you."
You sigh and take another long sip of your beer, avoiding his eyes on purpose. Although you and JJ hadn't hung out a lot, he still seems to be able to tell that you're bothered.
"It's not a big deal," you say.
"If it's bothering you, it is," JJ insists. His eyes are wide as he looks at you, and you can't help but notice how he hasn't taken one sip of his beer.
"JJ-"
"It's Rafe, I can tell. Did he hurt you?"
"No," you furrow your eyebrows, unsure of why he would even ask that. JJ just nods his head, tightening his grip around your hand.
"All right, then what?"
You give him a small smile, grateful that he's pushing so hard to try and figure out what's bothering you. You've never really had anyone do that before.
"We just got into an argument. But, it's fine-"
"Y/N-"
"I came here to have fun with you. Please don't make me spend the whole night talking about Rafe."
His eyes soften as he stares down at you. You watch as he takes a deep breath, then licks his lips and nods his head. You give him a small smile, watching as he shamelessly return it.
"You're right," he speaks after a minute, "Who needs that asshole, anyway?"
You nod, although you're hesitant to talk shit about Rafe like that, even after everything. JJ squeezes your hand once again, then tugs you toward his friends.
"Come on, let's party."
JJ pumps you full of beers, at your request, and laughs every time you attempt to get him to dance with you. His friends all watch as JJ finally gives into you, standing up as you tug on his hand and allowing you to lead him upright.
You can feel the alcohol rushing through your body as JJ spins you around in the sand, laughing at how much you're loving it. His friends cheer the two of you on, and by the time the song ends, you're completely exhausted. You collapse into JJ's chest and he wraps a strong arm around you, holding you up.
"I didn't realize I'd had so much," you tell him, slurring your words a bit against his chest.
"That's all right," he laughs lightly, "I'll take care of you."
JJ leads you back over to the log the two of you had been sitting on and helps you sit down, smiling when you lean your head down on his shoulder.
"You're nice to me," you tell him.
JJ laughs at your drunken state, pressing his cup to his lips once more. Say what you will about JJ Maybank, but never call him a lightweight.
"You deserve to be treated nicely," he fires back.
"You really believe that?" you ask him, not noticing your eyes fluttering closed against him.
"Of course, Y/N," he whispers, moving his face so his lips graze against the top of your head, "You know, there's a lot more out there than just Rafe Cameron."
"You don't know him like I do," you say quietly.
"You're right," he scoffs, "Nobody else would defend him."
"I'm serious, JJ. He's sweet and caring and protective-"
"And rude, and unkind-"
"JJ," you sigh, "I mean it. Underneath all the bullshit, he's a really great guy."
JJ's silent for a second, then you feel his body tense slightly under you. His friends are all in their own little world, to notice, but JJ isn't.
"Well, that really great guy just showed up to the party."
Your eyes shoot open and your head comes off of JJ's chest as you glance around, trying to steady your vision as you look around to see what he's talking about. When your eyes meet Rafe's, he looks upset. He's watching you and JJ like the thought of you two together actually, physically breaks his heart in half.
Topper and Kelce stand behind him, pushing Rafe forward to you. You stand up, with the help of JJ's hand steadying you, which you immediately let go of when you stand up straight. You tears your eyes away from Rafe long enough to glance back at JJ, asking him silently if it's okay if you go to him.
"Go on," he gives you a sad smile, "Tonight was fun. But, you know, I'm not the type of guy to chase after some other guy's girl."
"JJ-"
"Go, Y/N. You love him. I can tell."
You start to object, but close your mouth when you realize you have no defense. He's right, you know he is. You give JJ a little smile, then turn back to Rafe. The asshole, your asshole, who looks ready to put your heart back together again.
He starts to you and you to him, but he covers way more ground than you given that he's stone cold sober. He can tell you're having trouble standing, so he reaches out and offers his arm as soon as he's within range.
"Hey," he says quietly.
You wrap your cold hands around his arm, steadying yourself and absorbing his warmth. You take a deep breath, inhaling his familiar, heart wrenching scent and letting it fill your lungs.
"What are you doing here?" you question him.
"I- uh, I need to talk to you."
"Why? So you can yell at me and then tell me to leave again?" you spit before you can even think about it.
Rafe clenches his jaw and moves his eyes from yours, glancing around the beach as he considers what the best thing to say is in response.
"I'm sorry," you mumble.
"It's fine," he shakes his head, speaking too fast to actually mean it, "I deserve it. I was an asshole. I came here to apologize."
You nod your head, doing your best to keep your eyes on his and not trailing all down his body. He's wearing the snapback you love on him, and he has on the shirt the two of you bought together at the mall on a trip.
"You may," you tease him, giving him a small smile and hoping to get one in return. You get it, thankfully.
"I'm really sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to ever make you feel second rate. You have been so good to me and I know I don't deserve it-"
"It's okay," you stop him, reaching one hand up to stroke his cheek. His skin, his soft skin under yours feels like heaven to touch. You know the alcohol is the only reason you're not putting up a larger fight.
"I wasn't finished," he smiles widely.
"Well, what can I say? I'm a sucker for that hat," you tease.
His grin only widens as he stares down at you, pulling you into a hug before he can even think of it. His arms wrapped tightly around you make your heart rate speed up to a dangerous level.
"You promise we're okay? Maybe we should talk again when you're sobered up-"
"I'm fine," you lie.
Rafe reaches up and cups your face in his hands, staring down at you intently. You stare back, unable to break away from his gorgeous blue eyes.
"Good, because I've got something to tell you."
Rafe watches as your lips part, wanting to question him but unable to find the right words. He smiles, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before he continues.
"I love you, too," he whispers.
You blink rapidly at him, trying to figure out if he really just said those words to you. You shake your head and squirm out of his grasp, taking a deep breath as you look at him.
"You mean that?" you ask him.
"Yeah," he nods, swallowing nervously, "It took me half the day to realize it, but the thought of you down here with JJ literally made me want to kill him. And I'm sorry that I haven't realized it sooner. I was just scared of my feelings, I guess, and I just thought if I pushed you away-"
"You don't have to explain," you stop him, "I just can't believe you feel the same way about me."
"Who wouldn't? Topper informed me today that I happen to be the luckiest guy to walk the face of the earth because I'm loved by you. And I guess, I don't know, it made me recognize my feelings."
You smile, wrapping your arms around him and hugging him. He hugs you back without thinking twice, pulling you close and breathing you in. After a second, you pull away, and feel him tilt your chin up to meet his eyes.
"I don't know, I'm feeling pretty damn lucky right now," you whisper.
Before either of you know it, he places his lips gently on yours. His hands move themselves to your cheeks once again, pulling you closer to him. You both can hear Topper and Kelce hooting and hollering from yards away, which makes you laugh against Rafe's lips.
"I regret bringing them," he says against your lips, laughing along with you.
"You should," you agree, standing on your tip-toes and kissing him one more time.
"Can I take you home, now? Please?" he asks, voice impatient.
You bite your lip and nod, allowing him to give you one last kiss before he brings a hand down to yours, wrapping his fingers through it. He turns you toward the boys, the oh-so happy boys, and leads you away.
Away from the beer. Away from JJ. Toward your future, together.

Fools Gold (r.c.)
Summary: how much are you worth to rafe and his friends?
AN: sorry the new obx pics that were posted inspired me to write an angsty af rafe fic also thinking about doing this same concept with JJ.
again, the rafe i write is not canon. he’s just a dick most of the time.
You weren’t friends with Rafe Cameron. There wasn’t any parallel universe where the two of you would be friends.
He despised you because you chose a life with the Pogues over a life with the Kooks. But he didn’t seem to have as big of a problem with Kie as he had with you.
You couldn’t figure out why he disliked you more than anyone on the island. You figured it had to do with the fact that he didn’t like the fact that everyone knew he slept with a Pogue.
Once upon a time, you lost your virginity to Rafe. After realizing how he acted towards you, you didn’t really know why. But at the time, you felt safe with him. Better him than some random tourist at a party.
But after you and Kie made the grand transition from Kook to Pogue, he never spoke to you again. And when he did, would he some mean and snarky comment that you tried not to let get to you. But a person can only take so much before the words start to stick.
—
You were at a Boneyard party with your friends, you and Kie talking about the upcoming beach cleanup the two of you were planning. You were minding your own business but you could feel a pair of eyes burning into the back of your head.
“Dude, $500 you can’t get Y/N to go out with you and stay with her for 6 months.” Topper bet the older boy. “$500? That’s it? To get Y/N to go out with me?” Rafe laughed. “Yeah, it should be an easy $500 right?” Topper asked.
Rafe thought about it for a moment, deciding if he was really that bad of a person to lead you on like that. He didn’t really hate you as much as he said. He was just hurt that you felt he wasn’t good enough to stick around for.
“It’s a bet. $500 in 6 months.” Rafe finally said. The two Kooks shook hands and Rafe’s fixation landed on you.
You were standing with Kiara by the fire, drinking your hand, clearly talking about something you were passionate about. Rafe noticed that whenever you talked about something you loved, you talked with your hands ten times more than you did normally.
He assumed you were talking about the ocean or something like that with how big your smile was.
Rafe then put on his asshole Kook facade and began to approach you. “Hey, Y/L/N!” He called. You took one look at him and instantly rolled your eyes.
“Can we help you?” Kie asked him. “I need to talk to Y/N. Alone if that’s not a problem with you.” Rafe sassed the girl. Kie looked at you, almost a nonverbal way of asking if you’d be okay alone.
You gave her a small nod and she reluctantly walked away. “What do you want, Rafe?” You sighed. “Go out with me.” He said. “What?” You questioned. “Go out with me. We can go somewhere on the mainland or somewhere local. Wherever you like.” He explained.
You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh before you realized he wasn’t joking. “You’re serious?” You asked. “Yeah, I’m serious.” Rafe answered. “Sorry if I have a hard time believing you want to go out with me after you’ve treated me.” You said.
“I was a dick. I’ll make it up to you. Just give me a chance.” Rafe replied. You looked at him for a moment, being very wary about the whole offer. “Okay. One date and if I even so much as a sense a stupid practical joke, I’m out.” You finally said.
Rafe smiled down at you before slowly backing up. “Great. I’ll pick you up, Friday at 6.” He said.
You had no idea what just happened. Rafe Cameron asked you out? And he actually seemed to mean it?
And to say the date went well was a total understatement for both you and Rafe. You both had an amazing time together, exploring the mainland and not having to worry about the Kook v. Pogue prejudice.
In the 6 months Rafe had been with you, he soon realized there wasn’t a single thing he didn’t love about you. He loved how you would dance around to your indie and alternative music as if no one was watching.
How you dragged him to the beach to watch the baby turtle eggs hatch. Even though he said he didn’t want to, he’d go anywhere if you asked.
Rafe also loved how you loved life in general. You didn’t care about the class system on the Outer Banks, you just cared about the people you loved. Your dad, your brother, the Pogues, and now Rafe.
Which made him feel even worse about the bet. It was nearing 6 months and Rafe knew he couldn’t just end it with you. He knew how that would hurt you. So he called Topper and asked him to call the whole thing off.
“Maybe we should just end the whole thing. You can have your money and we can call it off.” Rafe said over the phone.
“You aren’t going soft are me now are you?” Topper mocked. “No, I’m just saying this bet is stupid. It’s too easy now.” Rafe lied. “I’ll double it. $1,000 if you can make it to 6 months with Y/N.” Topper said.
Rafe hadn’t known you were going to come over so early so he thought he had time to talk to Topper. But you were standing out in the hallway in front of his door, listening to the whole thing.
“Wow, $1,000. Only an idiot would turn that down.” You sneered. Rafe turned around with wide eyes before quickly hanging up the phone. “H-How much did you hear?” He asked. “All of it.” You answered. “So you asking me out that night was a stupid bet? And our entire relationship has been a lie?” You asked, your voice raising.
“No, Y/N, let me explain.” Rafe pleaded. “Why should I? I think you and Topper explained everything perfectly. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted you. I’ve just been a huge joke you and your friends could laugh about.” You said.
Rafe began to walk towards you but you talking a couple steps back made it very clear you didn’t want him coming near you.
“We’re done, Rafe. I hope you enjoy the money.” You said sadly before you left his bedroom. When you walked into the hall, you saw Sarah standing a little ways away, but you knew she heard everything. “Did you know?” You asked her. “Of course not. I had no idea he was doing this for money.” She answered.
“Everything was a lie. I-I really thought he cared about me.” You spoke quietly, the tears welling up in yours eyes.
Sarah frowned and pulled you into a warm embrace. She couldn’t help but feel guilty since it was her brother who was causing you so much pain. “I know we were supposed to hang out tonight but I think Im just gonna head home.” You said.
She didn’t want you driving home in the state you were in but she also knew that you being alone was what was best for you.
When you arrived home, you avoided your father’s questions like they were the plague and made a b-line for your bedroom. But even then you couldn’t escape Rafe’s presence because everything reminded you of him.
For weeks after you are Rafe broke up, you were a bit different. You didn’t really feel like yourself because you didn’t know what was real anymore. Finding out about the bet made you question everything and your self esteem took a pretty big hit.
But you were good at faking it for the most part. You still hung out with the Pogues as if nothing was wrong. You went out to Boneyard parties, hung out with Kie, surfed with JJ, went shopping with Sarah. But you could only pretend so much.
You were sitting on your surfboard in the water, JJ floating next to you as you two waited for a wave.
“JJ, can I tell you something?” You asked him. “Of course, Y/N.” He said. “Rafe and I broke up. Apparently I was nothing but a cash grab for him.” You confessed. “What? What do you mean, cash grab?” He asked. “I was just a bet. Apparently Topper bet him $500 to go out with me and make it 6 months. I guess he was calling Topper to call off the bet but he offered him $1,000. I haven’t told anyone, only Sarah knows.” You explained.
“You know he’s a moron, right? You’re not even worth $500, you’re priceless, Y/N and don’t let Rafe and his dickhead friends make you think any differently.” JJ said.
You could tell that telling him the truth really riled him up but he never fought with Rafe for the sake of you. Your friendship was more important than wanting to knock Rafe flat on his ass.
“What are you going to do?” JJ asked. “I don’t know. I’m having a very hard time believing he faked everything the past 6 months but Rafe is pretty convincing when he wants to be. But am I really that stupid to think he actually cared about me?” You answered.
“No, that doesn’t make you stupid. And what I’m about to say I will never admit to saying but what if Rafe actually did care about you? I mean, everyone knows his dad is always on his ass about money and he was going to turn it down for you.” JJ said.
You sat quietly for a moment, watching the stillness of the water before looking back to JJ. “Are you saying I should talk to him?” You asked. “I’m saying maybe you owe yourself that much.” He answered. “Since when the hell did you become so insightful? Usually you’d tell me to beat him up or smash his car.” You laughed.
“Well, this time I just want you to be happy. And as much as I hate to say it, he made you very happy.” JJ said. “I really don’t like it when you’re right.” You muttered.
After a couple more minutes, you and JJ headed back to the beach and when you got there, Rafe was standing on the sand a few feet away from the shore line.
You slowed your pace slightly as you made eye contact with him. You readjusted your grip on your board as you and JJ kept walking. “Y/N, hey, can I talk to you?” Rafe asked uncomfortably.
You and JJ had never seen Rafe look less confident before until that moment. “JJ, I’ll meet you back at the Chateau.” You told the blonde. JJ nodded his head but not before giving Rafe a suspecting look as he walked away.
“You wanted to talk?” You asked him. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, Y/N. I should’ve never taken that stupid bet in the first place. I-I guess I was holding a grudge against you before.” He said. “For what? I never did anything to you, Rafe.” You asked. “You left me. You chose the Pogues and the Cut over me. We were always friends before and then you and Kiara just decided it wasn’t good enough anymore. That I wasn’t good enough.” He explained.
“I didn’t choose the Pogues because of you, Rafe, or over you. Figure 8 is toxic and everyone we used to hang out with was terrible and I couldn’t do that anymore. You were the one who froze me out after we slept together. Let’s not also forget that you faked our entire relationship.” You rebutted.
“No, no, Y/N, I didn’t fake anything. Everything we had was real. You have no idea how it easy was to fall for you because you are amazing and I-I messed it up. I hurt you and I know it’s not going to make it better, but I’m sorry.” Rafe said.
You pushed your board into the sand before sitting down in front of it and motioned for Rafe to do the same.
“I was falling in love with you, Rafe. So to hear you and Topper just use me for your own sick enjoyment, broke my heart.” You started. “I defended you to everyone to just find out that they were right.” You finished. “You said ‘was.’ Like past tense.” Rafe spoke quietly.
You swallowed the lump in your throat as you stared at the sunset. “I wish we could just move on, forget it ever happened but I don’t think we can.” You said.
Rafe’s body stiffened and he hung his head low, not liking where the conversation was going.
“But, we can start over. Clean slate.” You added. The boy looked up at you, almost as if he thought you were kidding. “Really?” He asked. “Yeah, really. But, on a few conditions.” You said. “Anything, I will do anything.” He said. “You leave my friends alone. He’s going to kill me for saying this but JJ was actually the one who told me we should talk so you kind of owe him. Second, you let me punch Topper, very very hard.” You told him.
Rafe laughed lightly at your words as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder. “Sounds like a plan.” He said. “Also, give me your phone.” You said. Rafe took his phone out of his pocket and gave it to you.
He looked over your shoulder to see what you were doing as you opened the Venmo app.
You pressed ‘pay and request’ and put Topper’s user name in.
@TopperThornton: Pay $1,000
Summary: congrats, i lost the bet. Y/N is worth so much more. she’s also gonna kick your ass
“Couldn’t have said it better myself.” Rafe commented. You hummed in response, resting your head on his shoulder. Rafe pressed a light kiss on your forehead as the two of you watched the sunset together.

London Boy - Part 3: I like girls that dance
summary: It’s your first night out and your first real introduction to Westheath. Rafe is quick to find his way on your radar.
pairing: Rafe x reader (slowburn)
warnings: swearing, drinking
word count: 4.6k
a/n: the way I’m imagining Jack Harlow as I write Liam 😩✋also, im pulling these chapter titles out of my ass - but actually tho, go listen to Girls That Dance by Masego
Part 1 Part 2
Despite your doubts, you put on the sheer top and the black mini skirt Millie and Olivia had insisted you wear. Your favorite pregame playlist plays as you do your makeup in the mirror. You move as quickly as you can, in desperate need of a shot to calm your nerves before your flat fills with people. You’re also nervous about seeing Rafe after that encounter in the kitchen you just had.
As you run your fingers through your hair and put on your earrings, all you can see is his stupid (and annoyingly attractive) face, staring down at you with that dumb backwards cap, telling you that you guys should watch Game of Thrones together. Every time your mind starts to think if that means something, you quickly shut down the thought. Of course it doesn’t mean anything. Just because a boy wants to watch a show with you does not automatically mean he wants you or that this was going to turn into some kind of Netflix and chill situation. Or was this gonna be a Netflix and chill situation? I mean it was Rafe Cameron after all, the boy certainly had a reputation. But then again, hadn’t he just showed you that he’s different from what you had expected? Oh god this was all too much to think about right now, you needed a shot. Stat.
“Y/N!” Olivia shouts, swinging the door to your room open right on cue. “Oh. My. God. You look so hot!” she exclaims. “Here, this is for you,” she extends a shot glass toward you with a devilish grin.
“Oh god what is it,” you grimace. Shots always seemed like a better idea in theory than in practice.
“Try it and find out,” she smirks. You sigh and send the liquid to the back of your throat, immediately cringing at the sting of raspberry vodka, Olivia bringing a cup of cranberry juice to your mouth to chase.
“Don’t worry love, a few more and you won’t even taste it. Now come on,” she laughs, dragging you with her to the kitchen. The rest of your flatmates are already there, Millie bopping along to the music, giggling at whatever Topper is saying, Rafe standing close by sipping his drink.
“Y/n you hottie!” Millie cheers, looking up as you make your way into the kitchen. You pray to god your cheeks aren’t turning pink. You don’t dare turn your head, but you know Rafe is staring at you. If you looked at him now you’d be crimson for sure.
“Alright everybodyyy,” Olivia begins, pouring the same raspberry vodka into the five shot glasses she has lined up on the table. You can’t help but laugh at her infectious energy, this girl is nothing if not the life of the party.
“Cheers to our first night out as flat mates! Wooo!!!” she exclaims, as everyone grabs a shot glass from the table, Rafe instinctively passing you one, hands briefly touching during the exchange and again as you all clink your glasses. You down the contents, unsure if the heat forming in your chest is from the vodka or the feeling of Rafe’s passing touch.
Pretty soon people start to arrive, Olivia and Millie making sure to introduce everyone. The flat becomes a blur of bodies drinking, dancing, and mingling about, and somehow, despite it all, Rafe Cameron is the person you find yourself standing with. There was something magnetic about him that you couldn’t quite understand, but it kept drawing you near.
“What are you drinking tonight Cameron,” you nod at the cup in his hand.
“Jack and coke. Of course,” he scoffs with subtle sarcasm, which you instantly pick up on.
“Not straight whiskey? Wow. That’s not very Figure 8 of you,” you admonish playfully.
“Straight whiskey? L/n who do you think I am?” he twists his face in mock disbelief. “But I’m game to do a shot if you are,” he adds.
“Hmm that does-“ you begin, but you’re quickly cutoff.
“Y/n, babe, if I had known you’d be here I would’ve came sooner,” Liam greets you with a kiss on the cheek and a cheeky smile.
“Now how on earth do you two know each other,” Millie asks, walking in line with the boy.
“Umm,” you chuckle nervously. You could not have possibly felt more awkward at the conversation unfolding in front of you, Rafe standing by as witness to it all. “He’s that boy I went to the bar with the other night,” you explain sheepishly.
“That was Liam!? Chrissake. Well I apologize on his behalf for anything he said or did.”
“Hey I’ll have you know I’m a proper gentleman!” he defends, throwing you a wink as Millie rolls her eyes. Just at that moment, another group of people walk in through the door, conveniently coming to Rafe’s rescue.
“Rafe!” a girl calls and he clears his throat excusing himself, Millie following suit to greet the latest batch of guests. You watch as he leans in for a hug with the girl who’s just called his name. She’s twirling her hair and batting her eyes, confident, flirty, gorgeous - just his type. A sick feeling pools in your stomach, you don’t even realize you’re staring.
“Lily Colts, if that’s what you’re wondering,” Liam informs you as he takes the now empty spot next to you.
“Oh, um no, I was just uh-“
“It’s okay Y/n, I get it. So flatmate huh” he laughs, unbothered.
“No no it’s not like that at all I uh-”
“Alright. Y/n,” he says, jumping up to sit on the counter behind him, cracking open the can in his hand. “You know I think you’re hot and you know I like messing with you-”
“Actually I know neither of those things,” you reply indignantly.
“Yes you do, you’re not dim,” he bulldozes right on, “I can read people pretty well, and there was a vibe there.”
“A vibe?”
“Yeah. Between you and what’s-his-face. You should’ve seen the way he tensed up when I came up to you,” he snickers in amusement.
“Shut up. His name is Rafe, by the way, and there was no ‘vibe.’ Also why are you even telling me this?” you ask, growing frustrated with the cocky brunette.
“Y/n please,” he scoffs. “I told you I can read people, so let me read you. You’re out here in London right, far away from home, keen for a fresh start. You’ve never been one for meaningless flings, but fuck it, if everyone else can do it, why not you? Or so you try to convince yourself, but you know that’s not you. See, you crave that emotional connection, and when you find even a hint of it, you’re a goner. Which is why you’d never actually hook up with me and it’s why you’re staring at that boy from home even though you swear you don’t care, but you do - you feel something there.”
You’re dumbfounded by his ability to know things about you that even you yourself can’t recognize. “I liked it better when you were just flirting with me,” you grumble.
“No worries darling, I’ll definitely still do that. I’ll even dance on you in the club if you ask nicely, might make pretty boy over there jealous,” he motions with his eyes toward Rafe, at which you give his shoulder a shove.
“You’re an idiot you know, Millie was right on the money with that,” you quip, as the two of you head over to her, Liv, and the boys.
“Please, Millie wishes she could be right on something else,” he says as you shoot him a glare, trying your best to suppress a laugh. Liam was starting to become a pain in your ass, too smart for his own good, but at least he was a funny one.
—
Your first night clubbing was going great. The place was packed, the music was good, and you were having a blast dancing with Liv, Millie, and their friends. You couldn’t help looking around the club though, eyes scanning for Rafe in the crowd. He’d been hanging out all night with Topper and some of the guys from their new soccer team. You longed to be near him somehow, to interact with him again. All your conversations with him earlier today had left you with an excited buzz - you didn’t know what it was about this version of Rafe Cameron in London, but you were actually enjoying his company.
You try to push him out of your mind and just enjoy the moment. It’s not like there was anything between you and Rafe, you had just barely began to form a semblance of a potential friendship today, let’s not get carried away. Besides, you live with the boy, accidentally running into him wasn’t going to be much of a challenge.
“Anyone want anything from the bar?” you shout over the music to your friends.
“Vodka soda with lime please!” Olivia shouts back and you nod, turning to make your way to the counter a few feet away. You place your order and mindlessly tap your fingers on the bar as a figure appears beside you.
“Hey, Y/n right? Flatmates with Olivia, Mills, and the boys?” the girl asks, and you turn, now face to face with Lily.
“Uh yeah, hey,” you feign a smile back.
“I’m Lily, nice to meet you,” she smiles genuinely. “I’m friends with all the Westheath bozos you’ve probably been meeting tonight,” she laughs, “Callum and Henry over there are my best mates. They’re on the football team with Rafe and Topper, we were showing them around earlier. My god you guys have been hoarding some cute ones over there in America.”
You chuckle, “glad that Kildare’s presence can at least be of some benefit.”
“So, girl to girl here, what can you tell me about Rafe Cameron? He’s such a hottie isn’t he? Would love to get a taste of that,” she smirks, licking her lips.
“Umm I don’t really have much to tell,” you say, unsure of how to navigate this conversation. You could tell her what you thought you knew of Outer Banks Rafe - he’s a rich, party-boy player. But after today, that no longer felt right. You didn’t want to say or presume anything about him at all actually, it felt wrong to talk about him like that. God, what the hell was wrong with you? You spend a few hours with the boy and you already have a soft spot for him? You needed to get a grip. “Our families know each other but we don’t really hang out at home. He’s uh- he’s cool though,” you decide as a sufficient response.
“Any girl friend?” she asks, sliding cash over to the bartender as she orders a shot.
“Rafe’s not really the ‘girlfriend-type’,” you answer, bartender sliding you the drinks you ordered and Lily her’s.
“Well then cheers to that,” she grins, clinking her shot glass to your drink before she downs it, waving a quick goodbye. You watch as she makes her way back to Rafe and their group, adorning a flirty smile. You feel sick to your stomach. You wanted to hate her, you did. But you couldn’t. She wasn’t doing anything wrong. She was just confident, outgoing, and not afraid to go after what she wanted. There was nothing for you to be angry about, who was stopping you from doing the same?
But in the back of your mind you decided you could never go after Rafe like that. He would never be interested in you in that way, you were sure of it. You had a hard time believing your friends when they hyped you up, so you definitely weren’t going to believe for a single second that a boy you thought was cool could possibly look at you in the same way. Besides, the mere idea of being rejected by Rafe Cameron, and then having to continue living with him and eventually go back to the Outer Banks for everyone to find out you had been rejected by the kook prince, was so mortifying that the very thought made you want to crawl into a hole. So you promise yourself, right then and there, that you won’t let yourself get hurt like that. You could hang out with Rafe, get to know him, become friends even, but under no circumstances could you be caught wearing your heart on your sleeve. You couldn’t disarm yourself like that and give him the upper hand. You needed to look out for yourself first and foremost, preserving the little bit of control you still had over your life.
You walk back over to your friends, slipping Liv her drink as her and Jake dance together. Your new friends are all tipsy and in a world of their own, getting lost in the music and their movements.
“Dance with me,” you turn to Liam who’s right beside you.
“I said if you ask nicely,” he admonishes sarcastically, to which you roll your eyes.
“I’m not gonna beg Liam. You wanna dance or not?”
“Sheesh, Lily Colts got your panties in a twist like that?”
“Not. At. All.” You confidently stare into his eyes, sipping your drink. It’s no use, Liam knows you all too well by now, and you curse yourself for the way in which this boy is able to see right through all the walls you put up. You may think these walls are made of brick, but to Liam they’re glass.
He just laughs at you, shaking his head in amusement. He grabs your free hand and pulls you closer to him, your bodies now pressed together. He takes your hand and rests it on the back of his neck, his finding their way to your hips. He plants his leg in between yours and soon you guys are lost in the rhythm. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t enjoying every second. He spins you around and you lightly grind your ass against him.
“Damn Y/n, I didn’t know you move like that,” he jokes, as you face forward again. He leans in, his hand on the small of your back, and you feel his breath right against your ear, “he’s looking by the way.” Your breath hitches, but you know better than to turn around. Liam is already one step ahead of you, instinctively twirling you again so you can quickly catch a glimpse of Rafe’s eyes on yours without it being obvious. “Told you he’d be jealous,” he smirks down at you triumphantly.
“Shut up,” you reply, the slightest smile tugging at your lips as your sweaty bodies continue to move to the music.
—-
“Aw flatmate bonding you guysss,” Olivia gushes, as you all sit together at a booth. She had forced you all out of your beds this morning to get breakfast together. Despite being hungover and groggy, you all reluctantly agreed. “Mimosas anyone?” she jokes.
“If I so much as smell any alcohol I think I’ll vomit,” Topper groans.
“Aw, what’s the matter, can’t handle your liquor Tops?” Millie asks, quirking her head to the side.
“Ha. Ha. Very funny. Could ask you the same question. My room is right next to the bathroom, don’t think I didn’t hear your retching last night,” he snaps back, to which Millie turns bright red and soon you’re all hunched over in laughter.
“I think a mimosa would make me yak right now too, to be fair. Coffees all around!” Olivia asserts.
You’re seated across from Rafe as you both scan your menus, your eyes immediately fixing in on the pancakes. The waiter comes by to take all your orders and you can’t help but blush a little when Rafe orders pancakes and you have to follow with a “same for me.” Such a silly, meaningless thing, I mean everyone likes pancakes. But being the only one to have the same exact order as Rafe leaves you feeling embarrassed, for no good reason all the same. You all begin to scarf down your food as soon as it arrives, thankful to have something to soak up the alcohol in your stomachs, as you share stories and laugh about last night’s drunken antics.
“So how is it that we’re all flatmates and yet I only have Topper’s contact. Come on, add ‘em in,” Rafe says, sliding his unlocked phone to the middle of the table.
“Wait I want snapchats too. Oooh! And instagram!” Olivia pipes, whipping out her phone as well.
“I expect no booty calls Cameron. This is strictly business,” Millie jokes, typing in her and Olivia’s numbers before passing his phone to you.
“Am I allowed a booty call?” Topper smirks, extending his phone as well.
“I wouldn’t push your luck Thornton,” she smirks back and he pouts in response. You finish typing your name and number into Rafe’s phone and hand it back to him, skin briefly making contact once again. Even though you had known Rafe all your life, somehow you two never had a reason to exchange numbers, only following each other on Instagram which he never posted on anyways.
“Alright everyone, pull up your snapchat codes, I wanna make a group,” Olivia says and everyone obliges, arms crossing every which way as you all add each other. “What should we name our group chat? Ooo can we do a ship name of our schools - like Kilheath or Westare?”
“I like Kilheath,” Topper chimes in.
“Yeah I bet you do you psychopath. Sounds like the name of a bad horror movie,” Rafe laughs.
“Oooo there’s five of us, we could be the Spice Girls,” Millie beams.
“No.” Topper immediately shuts her down.
“What about ‘American Boys and Spice Girls.’ You know, like the Kanye West song,” you add.
“Ehh, we’re getting closer, but not quite there,” Rafe teases you and you playfully kick him under the table. “I’m hearing a lot of opinions and not a lot of contributions,” you cross your arms and raise your brows.
“Hey hey hey, I’m a critic, not a chef L/n,” he lifts his hands in surrender.
“Ooo I got it! We can call it the ‘Royal fam,’ like the royal family,” Olivia suggests, finally getting approval from the whole group. Breakfast is soon over and you all return to your rooms, eager to nap away the remainder of your hangovers. You lay in your bed and stare at the newly formed snapchat group on your phone. Royal Fam 🇬🇧🇺🇸 appears on top and you scroll down, looking at Rafe’s username and bitmoji on your screen. You laugh at the fact that even his bitmoji wears a backwards cap. It was weird, having him in your phone like this. You had known this boy your whole life, but you two had always operated in separate spheres. And here he was, in your Snapchat, a glimpse into the life of Rafe, of which you only ever got a birds eye view of back home. It almost felt like you were trespassing somewhere you didn’t belong, having access to him like this. You sigh and lock your phone. Rafe Cameron really isn’t all that bad.
—
The next few days fly by fast as you become acclimated to Westheath. You and the rest of the Kildare kids attend an orientation with Westheath’s exchange advisor, spending the whole time with your little trio: you, Rafe, and Topper. When you had first arrived abroad, you were deadset on forging your own path in London and steering clear of everyone else from OBX. But hanging out with Rafe and Topper made you all but forget. It was fun and easy hanging out with them, in fact, counterintuitively, they were helping you forget all about the Outer Banks, just as you had hoped to do. Your conversations centered around your interests, your new lives, on random jokes and made up bits. It was almost as if there was a mutual unspoken agreement between you, them also trying to escape and forget their lives in OBX.
Pretty soon classes began, and you were learning a new schedule and adapting to British schooling. Your evenings were spent singing and dancing in the kitchen as you, Liv, and Millie simultaneously cooked your dinners, getting pints at the pub around the corner with your Westheath friends, and playing card games at the kitchen table with Rafe and Topper, the smack talk between you three flowing strong. There’d be short moments where you’d find yourself alone with Rafe - he’d explain to you whatever Premier League team was playing that day, you’d show him how the coffee machine works, and the occasional passing comments of “so when are we finally starting Game of Thrones, Cameron?” “I’m ready whenever you are, L/n.”
—
It was a Wednesday night, and you were curled up in your fluffy gray blanket watching Gilmore Girls in bed. You found the show comforting and familiar, the small town of Stars Hallow reminding you of what you wished your life in the Outer Banks could be like. Instead it was more like the cold and pretentious atmosphere of Chilton and the older Gilmores’ Hartford life. Your phone buzzes, and you pick it up lazily to check, suddenly freezing at the notification on your screen.
Snapchat: Rafe Cameron
You had opened a few snapchats from the boy over the past few days, but they were always random ones he would send to the group chat. This one was just for you. You gulp and put your phone down, not wanting to open it too fast. A few minutes go by and you realize you haven’t paid an ounce of attention to the show on your screen, even though you’re staring right at it. Fuck it. You open your phone and tap on the unread snap.
When are we watching Game of Thrones L/n the snapchat says, a picture of his laptop on his bed and the HBO Max home page open, the series featured in the corner of the screen.
You snap back a picture of your blanket and the laptop playing Gilmore Girls in front of you: ready whenever you are Cameron.
Almost immediately you get a response back.
Rafe Cameron: wait are you home rn? His message is accompanied by a random picture of his room, a view you let your eyes linger on until the message expires. Another peak into Rafe Cameron’s world.
Y/n: Yep! You send a blurry selfie of you wrapped in your blanket.
Rafe Cameron: be over in 5
You leave that last message on open and your heart starts to race. Just breathe Y/n, breathe, you keep telling yourself. It doesn’t have to be a big deal if you don’t make it out to be. It’s just a show. Just a show. And besides, you guys are friends now, right? You sit up in your bed and grab your pillow, shifting over to sit horizontally on your mattress. That seems more casual to you, more ‘just a couple friends watching a show together at a comfortable distance’ and less ‘sitting right on top of each other Netflix and chill’. You gulp down some water to ease your dry throat when you hear a gentle knock.
“Come in!” you call out, and now Rafe Cameron is in your room, eyes absorbing all the details that are so you. The posters on one wall, film camera photos on another. The string lights which wrap around your room and give it a warm glow. The plants, the subtle scent of vanilla. The bag you always carried with you, hanging off the side of your chair. He almost felt like he was intruding, like he was getting an intimate glimpse of something that was for your eyes only.
“Whats up,” he says, holding his laptop and closing the door behind him.
“Ready to finally start the show,” you laugh, “it’s about damn time.”
“Hey, I’ve been ready, it’s you who’s been taking your sweet time.”
“Is that so?” you ask sarcastically and a smile forms on his face.
“What are you doing over there? Who sits like that on their bed?” he asks, now coming over and taking a seat on your mattress facing vertically, propping your other pillow behind his back. “Can’t even stretch out your legs or anything,” he continues, patting the spot on the bed next to him, signaling for you to come over.
“I don’t know, I think it’s comfy,” you lie as you crawl over to him, your first line of defense already shot down.
“Weirdo,” he chuckles to which you nudge him in the side with your elbow. “If Topper’s wrong about this I’m gonna give him so much shit,” he says.
“Topper does have a lot of questionable opinions,” you laugh, “but I have a good feeling about this one.
—
One episode turned into two turned into three, you and Rafe instantly hooked. The nerves you had felt earlier at sitting so close next to this boy in your bed had all but dissipated, you quickly acclimating to the space he took up next to you. Even though by now all your previous misconceptions about Rafe had disappeared, replaced with the boy you had come to know over the past week, there was a small part of you that was still waiting to see if he’d try to pull something on you, like the Rafe you imagined back home surely would. Of course he didn’t, watching and discussing the show with you, making you feel as comfortable as if you two had been friends for years. You almost felt bad for having had doubted him in the first place.
When the third episode ended and you two got into a long post-episode discussion, you hardly noticed when the conversation began to digress. You both started to sink lower and lower down into your pillows, until you were both laying on your backs, staring at the ceiling and lost in exchanges of words and thoughts. The conversation was different this time, more candid and open, as if the shadow of the night was inviting you to divulge thoughts you wouldn’t have shared in the day. He spoke of his strained relationship with his father and you shared the silly drama that had caused a riff between you and your former friends back home. He showed you pictures of his dog and you showed him the video you had been working on all summer long in OBX, not having anyone to hang out with before you left for London. He talked about how he felt so disconnected from almost everyone on that island, and you nodded, understanding all too well. The conversation continued to ebb and flow, the occasional funny video or meme pulling you two into fits of laughter before seamlessly delving into another vulnerable train of thought. You both had your Spotify accounts open now, taking turns sharing your favorite songs. You put on a playlist you had made over the summer, full of songs that made you feel at peace.
“This puts you at ease huh,” he says.
You turn your head to look at him, “how could you tell?”
“I don’t know. I guess just the way your whole body relaxed the second you pressed play,” he replies.
“Yeah,” you say turning your head back toward the ceiling. “I know it sounds cheesy, but I feel like these songs are speaking to my soul or something,” you whisper.
“Yeah I get that… I have those too,” he whispers back. Neither of you realize it’s already 5 am and neither of you notice as your eyes both get heavy and sleep washes over you, playlist in the background like a lullaby. And at some point during your deep sleep, Rafe’s arm has found itself unconsciously wrapped around you.

encounters | rafe cameron
a/n: little quick blurb! just had the thought that rafe probably listens to classic rock. wrote this in like 15 mins so.. and this is my first writing here so excuse how poorly this was written!
here’s the kinda second part. or more of a like post high school thing?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Being in a completely different friend group often hinders the possibility of you having an interaction with Rafe. His friend group were notorious for being boisterous, loud and whatnot. Your friend group were mostly on the down low, never really participating in the entire Kooks vs Pogues agenda that reigns in the island.
You did have several classes with him and you’ve seen him around at parties. And it is a particularly small town so you two know of each other. But no effort was ever made to really get to know him and vice versa.
That was until Midsummers happened.
Midsummers was always something you looked forward to since you get to hang out with your friends and (illegally) drink champagne while your parents pretended to like each other. But that year you were pretty bummed out since most of them was out of the country, spending their summer somewhere in Europe. So you were left to spend the night alone.
Only you didn’t.
It was about an hour and a half since it started, and by this point, you were pretty bored out of your mind and had opted to sit out the mingling. Rafe saw you alone at the table and decided to take a seat next to your place.
His arrival did question you and you were about to address it but he had beat you to it first.
“Alone tonight, Y/l/n?”
“Maybe,” you said. “You?”
“Maybe.”
“Surprising you’re not bothering any pogues tonight. Seeing that that’s the only thing I’ve seen you done outside of school,” you teasingly said.
Rafe could hear your voice dripping in sarcasm and decided to play along. “Oh yeah? And what about you? Surprising you’re not high on weed with your stoner friends right now,” he said. “Also, I do have other activities outside of school besides that.”
“Like what?”
“Like, golf.”
You can’t help but laugh. Honestly, you thought, golf? “You are so kook, Rafe.”
He smiled at your response. You didn’t think you’d be having a conversation with Rafe Cameron talking about nothing and everything. But you did. One question led to another and by the end of the night, your stomach was hurting from the excessive laughing that you’ve shared with the boy. And somehow the both of you began on the topic about rock music— one of the many things you had in common with Rafe. Something you found out that night.
“— I can’t believe you think Led Zeppelin is better than Pink. Like, c’mon. I thought we were getting along,” he said.
“But they are though! Pink Floyd writes sad shit and tries to be philosophical but it just doesn’t work!”
“So wrong for that. You just haven’t listened to the right songs.”
“You’re wrong. I know I’m right. Maybe if—”
mae: can u pick me up
mae: im in trouble💩💩
mae: moms gonna killll mee 😵
mae: plz
Your phone read. Fuck you thought. Your sister didn’t bother to elaborate the trouble she had gotten herself into so you instinctively stood up and for a brief moment you forgot that you were in the middle of a conversation.
“Hey, hey where are you going?”
“Fuck. Sorry, Cameron. Big sister duty. I have to go. Call me okay? or text me. Maybe you could play some Pink for me sometime and convince me that it’s better than Zeppelin. I doubt it though.”
He smiled. “Okay. Yeah, sure. But can I have your number first?”
“Sarah has it. Just ask her,” you said, heels already moving.
He nodded and waved you goodbye. Where have you been all this time? he thought to himself.

And It Felt Great To Be A Liar (700 Celebration)
Ok so I based this off of this prompt:Hi there! I hope you’re doing well. I just have a request for JJ maybank. Would you be able to write one where y/n is apart of the kooks and is dating Rafe and Jj and her hate eachother. One day everyone is at a party and JJ and y/n are fighting with eachother as usual in a bedroom and he pins her against the wall and all of a sudden they start kissing eachother and they end up having really rough sex against the wall or a desk in the room with lots of dirty talk, choking and JJ making y/n admit he fucks her better than her boyfriend and gets her to beg for him If you have any time to write it I would be very appreciative, thank you so much x
and it really fit with the poll results for the celebration so enjoy this master piece <3
Warnings:Choking, Spanking, Bondage, Sub and Dom behavior, cheating, no condom, degrading, swearing.
Rafe’s arms were around your waist, his hot breath fanning against your neck as he nipped at the skin. “We should stay here tonight.”He suggested, his hands moving to the hem of your shirt, his hands slipping under the thin material and onto your skin.
“We cant, we already told Kelce and Top that we’d show.”You reminded him, peeling his hands away from you. He pouted, grabbing his keys. “Fine, we’ll play later.”He winked, opening his door and going down the stairs, shouting a goodbye to Wheezie and flipping off his dad.
You cringed at his words, not looking forward to coming back after the party. You were getting bored of Rafe, there was really only so much of his drama that you could take. You were hoping he’d get bored of you soon too or maybe even move on to someone else and forget about you.
But you stayed anyways, hoping he’d become less boring or maybe you’d stay around long enough to truly mean something to him. You followed him, sitting in the passengers seat of his truck. It reeked of alcohol and weed, his hand gipping your thigh. You rolled your eyes, looking out the window as he drove.
“What are you thinking about, pretty girl?”He asked. You hummed, not replying. You grabbed his hand, resting your elbow on the arm rest. There wasnt much to look forward to these days. Nothing new, nothing fun, nothing interesting. The kook life got so boring so quick.
Your only options on most days were to go golfing, shopping or a party if you were lucky. Everything was blurred together, feeling the exact same.He lifted his hand, pulling yours with it before pressing a kiss to your hand. It was a romantic gesture that you werent used to.
He was like this at the beginning of the relationship, the romance slowly fading away as he became more obsessed with you instead of loving you. He was trying his best to convince you that he still loved you but you knew that you were just holding on to broken pieces at this point, wishing you had something different.
You could hear the crashing of the waves, lifting your head and widening your eyes for a moment. The party was at Kelce’s beach house that wasnt really a house, it was really just a second mansion. You grinned at Rafe, sliding your phone in your pocket before hopping out of the truck, biting your tongue when he squeezed your ass.
“Im gonna go look for Sar, okay?”You asked. He nodded, pulling you in for a quick kiss, watching as you jogged up the stairs. You could feel him watching you, slipping into a hallway and hoping for the best. You were sure that Sarah wasnt even at this party, it wasnt really her type of place.
Sure, she was a party girl but even this was too much. You figured you should just lay low until Rafe was busy catching up with Kelce and Topper that he wouldnt notice if you went ot get yourself a drink. You werent in the mood for him to drag you over to his friend group and start bragging.
You tested each door knob, searching for a bedroom or a bathroom for you to sit in for a while, grinning once one of them finally turned. As soon as you were in the room you closed it behind you, locking it because you didnt feel like having your alone time interrupted by some drunk couple.
As soon as you turned around you regretted it, seeing noone other than JJ Maybank shirtless in the middle of the room. He was staring back at you, stuck in place. You and JJ had problems that dated back to eighth grade. He had gotten into a huge fight with a kook and you were the only witness, watching as the boy hit JJ repeatedly in the ribs.
JJ had eventually won the fight, blood running from his nose and staining his shirt, a layer of sweat covering his face as he stared at you. Since then he had nothing but anger and hate for you, giving you dirty looks in public and talking shit about you at parties. Of course you always found out about it.
How he called you a whore, a gold digger and a bitch. “Get out.”Was all he had to say, tossing his shirt onto the floor in the corner. It made a slight sloshing sound and you could only assume that he had bumped into someone and got something spilled on him. Or maybe he had been a bitch and got something thrown at him.
“No.”You replied, staring back at him with a glare. He matched your energy, jaw clenching as he looked you up and down. “What are you hiding from, (Y/N)? You maniac of a boyfriend?”He asked, causing your blood to boil. Of course he was right but you’d never admit it. And of course Rafe was an absolute maniac but so was JJ and all of his friends.
“He’s not a maniac, JJ.”You replied, knowing that it didnt sound right. You had never been great at lying. “Aww, thats cute that you try to stick up for your crazy boyfriend? If hes not a fucking maniac then explain what he did to Pope and I. You think a sane person would do that?”He asked.
You stared back at him, biting the inside of your cheek as you tried to think of something to say. He shook his head, chuckling. “See, you cant even defend him anymore. God, I hope he fucking dumps your ass!”he exclaimed, letting out a sigh. You gulped, staring at him.
“Shut up!”You shouted in response, only making him smirk. “Face it, (Y/N)!The boy you call your boyfriend is a shitty, disgusting person. You’re so much worse for being with him!”He shouted back at you. “Excuse me?”You asked, somehow surprised that he would say it to your face.
“Come on, (Y/N). You’re not that fucking stupid. He’s using you and you know it. But you like being used, dont you?”He asked, causing you to go silent. For once you didnt know what to do or what to say. He was getting closer to you, gripping your wrists and pushing you against the door in a swift movement, your back hitting the wood hard.
His eyes stayed on you, raising an eyebrow. “Answer the question, princess.”He demanded. You stared back at him, feeling his grip tighten. “Sometimes.”You replied, not wanting to give him the satisfaction he craved.
“Dont lie to yourself, sweetheart. You’re a little maniac that likes to be used.”He spoke into your ear, leaning down and kissing you roughly. You were struggling to keep up, so much happening so fast. His hands were under your shirt, sloppy kisses being dragged up and down your neck.
“Do you want me?”He asked you, fingernails digging into your skin. You nodded eagerly, feeling a sense of relief when he pulled you over and onto the bed, glad that you werent trapped against the wood surface. He didnt let you lay down, pushing you onto your knees as you stared up at him.
He guided one of your hands to his belt, making you press against him before letting go, biting his lip as you palmed him through his pants, carefully undoing his belt with slightly shaky hands.
He let you take your time, grinning at how nervous he made you, watching you struggle with his zipper. He chuckled, pushing you back and undoing his pants, getting on top of you, parting your legs. “Does Rafe make you this nervous?”He asked, seeming pleased with himself.
You shook your head, not sure you could answer properly. He grinned, kissing you again. He lifted your shirt over your head quickly, tossing it. “Im flattered that I have such an effect on you.”He muttered, tugging your shorts off, his hand wrapping around your neck not soon after.
His blue eyes were staring into you, squeezing harder for a moment. He was testing how much you could take, his thumb pressing into a spot right below your jaw. His hand dragged from your neck to the end of your hair, tugging harshly and causing you to let out a low shout.
He chuckled, letting go and unclasping your bra. “There’s so many things I could do to you…. We’ve got four hours until Rafe remembers you…..”He muttered, tugging down your underwear and keeping your thighs open with his hands, settling between them.
“Can you last four hours?”He asked. You nodded, moaning when his tongue slid through your folds. He chuckled, his fingernails leaving little crescent moons into your skin as he lapped at your entrance. You already already shaking from his tongue alone, your hands going to his hair and whimpering when he pulled away.
“No, no, princess. You dont get to touch me.”He told you, grabbing his belt off the floor. “Give me your wrists.”He told you, grinning when you put them out for him. He had so much power over you, holding your wrists to the headboard and securing them with the belt. He settled back between your thighs, his tongue darting in and out of you, pressing his thumb against your clit.
He could feel you were about to get close, pulling away before you could reach your high. You whined, moving against the belt. “What? You dont like that, princess?”He asked, moving up again so that his nose was against yours. “JJ, please.”You whispered, thinking that maybe he would change even just for a moment when he kissed you.
“Not. A. Chance.”He replied. “This isnt fair!”You exclaimed, moaning again when he licked your nipple. “Not fair?”He asked, beginning to suck. He moved his hand up to pinch your other nipple, rolling his thumb over it. “I think its pretty fair, (Y/N).”He replied, turning you over so that your stomach was against the mattress and you had to turn your head to breathe properly. His palm collided with your ass, sending a shock through your body.
“You okay?”He asked, moving your hair aside and pressinga kiss to you cheek. He was only calm for a moment before he smacked you again, making you take a shaky breath. “Anthony hit me twelve times….you get fifteen. Count.”He told you, rubbing your ass before lifting up his hand again, the hit making a loud noise.
“One.”You whispered, squeezing your eyes shut as he hit you again. You’d never let Rafe do this to you. You didnt like most things Rafe did especially in the bedroom. He just couldnt do what you wanted and if he did he just couldnt do it well. You didnt know when you got to ten, tears streaming down your cheeks. “JJ…. I dont think I can take more.”You sobbed.
He took in a deep breath, leaning down. “Hmm…. you’re doing so good, princess. Only five more left, promise I wont be too rough.”He whispered, his fingertips grazing over your thighs, waiting for an answer. You nodded, biting your lip as you waited, his palm hitting you again but not nearly as hard as the others. He spanked you again, rubbing the area after carefully.
You werent too worried anymore, whispering after he hit you the last time. He gave you a moment to recover, his fingers rubbing your thigh and sides, kissing your shoulder. He turned you over a few moments later, staring down at you. He pressed a kiss to your lips, the act much more gentle than before.
He pulled away after a second, his hand back at your throat as he pushed into you. You gasped, your head falling against the pillows as he bottomed out. He chuckled, tugging at your hair and forcing your head back some more, leaning down and nipping at your shoulder, only letting go when you whimpered.
It wasnt hard enough for you to bleed but his teeth left imprints in your skin, a satisfied smile on his face before he sped up. “Does Rafe fuck you like this?”He asked, hitting a spot so deep inside of you that you hadnt even known that it existed. You moaned loudly, feeling him tug your hair again.
“JJ!”You shouted from the pain against your scalp. “Answer the question.”He told you. You licked your lips, an idea sparking in your mind. “Rafe’s better.”You lied. He looked down at you, fingers pressing hard against your neck. “You want me to stop? You wanna go back to Rafe?”He asked, thrusting in and out of you. You shook your head quickly, wrapping your legs around his torso.
“Thats what I though, you fucking liar.”He muttered, slowing when he heard a knock at the door. “Anyone in there?”A voice shouted. It was Rafe’s. “Make a sound and im done with you.”He told you, picking up the pace.
“Rafe, man. Im busy!”He shouted. You bit your lip, closing your eyes and trying your best not to make any noises. You heard a loud groan before heavy footsteps thumped down the hall. JJ chuckled, noticing your relief. “Aww, the poor slut doesnt wanna go back to her boyfriend.”He grinned, biting your neck again.
You knew Rafe would see the marks but you didnt really care, eyes widening as you clenched around JJ. He let go of you, pulling out and cumming on your bare stomach. He panted, kissing you gently before freeing your wrists, kissing the skin gently. For someone who hated you he was being surprisingly sweet, especially after what just happened.
It didnt last long before he got up and put his clothes back on, your suspicions confirmed when you noticed a large stain across his shirt. “See you around, kook.”He winked at you before leaving the room. You laid down on the bed, pain running through your body. You felt guilty for feeling so good, your wrists stinging slightly and your heart dropping when you realised Rafe would see.

she used to love rafe | rafe x reader
it’s always paradise until it isn’t anymore
a/n: apparently im in the mood to write some rafe angst so put on your best sad music playlist and watch our pretty boy get his heart broken it’s therapeutic i promise
——————————————————————————
Rafe Cameron and [y/n] had been subtly fighting about midsummers for the past week. Rafe had skipped the last one of their weekly thursday night dinners because of a suit fitting. Sure, it was just one night but [y/n] couldn’t get past the fact that he could have literally scheduled it for any other time on any other day of the week.
With Rafe Cameron, she was either ready to have fifty of his babies or be the reason he was six feet under. There really was no in between - at all.
The night they had gotten together for the first time had been nothing shy of passionate. It was Halloween and the tension between them had been building since [y/n] called Rafe out for being an ass in front of their entire ap chemistry class.
One of the dudes from Rafe’s lacrosse team was throwing his annual Halloween party. Pretty much everyone from the Kook Academy spent their 31st there.
[Y/n] had somehow let her best friends talk her into going as the sluttiest version of the Disney princess. And since it was senior year, they were going all out. [Y/n]’s costume considered only of a light blue bra and a tiny light blue tutu to go with it. And of course, a crown perched on top of her gorgeous blonde hair.
She looked kickass and turned plenty of heads at the party. When Rafe laid eyes on her, he couldn’t keep the look at amusement off his face. When their eyes locked, both of them refused to look away. That was the moment they both realized that the playful flirting was gonna turn into something more.
Presently, it was Saturday, one week before Midsummers. [y/n] had been reading through the Georgetown University orientation packet, where she was headed that fall, when Rafe walked into her room. She glanced up at him and then back down without a word. A mild dose of the silent treatment was what she did when she was pissed off but not going to say it; Rafe was quite familiar with it.
Rafe flopped onto [y/n]’s bed right on top of the things she had been reading.
“So you aren’t gonna fucking talk to me?” He asked, already knowing the answer to his own question. Rafe hated when she did this to him. It wasn’t the lack of attention that bothered him. No, he really couldn’t pinpoint why he couldn’t stand it, he just couldn’t.
“I’m not not talking to you Rafe.” [y/n] replied, trying to wedge the packet out from under him.
“Pick another day to throw a tantrum cause we need to talk about Midsummers.” Rafe said, not caring to keep the anger out of his tone.
[Y/n] look down at him, eyebrows raised to her forehead. “Do you wanna try that again?”
Rafe said up, “I said ‘We have to talk about Midsummer.’ What is your problem with that?”
“If you came over here to fight with me, go home Rafe. I have things to do. I don’t need your shit today.”
“Fuck, are you like on your period today baby? Rose just wanted me to tell you that the girls are wearing pastels this year and since you’re walking in with my family-”
“No,” [y/n] said, cutting Rafe off.
“What?”
“I’m not walking in with your family Rafe.”
“Yes, you are. What are you talking about? Of course you. You’re my girlfriend.”
“And you’re my boyfriend. Why don’t you walk in with my family?”
“Cause that’s not how it work, you know that.”
“That’s sexist as fuck. I’m not doing it.”
“You know Rose is going to be pissed at me now.”
“Okay and that’s not my problem Rafe.”
“What is going on with you today [y/n]? If this about missing Thursday, I already told you Ward made the appointment. I couldn’t change it. What do you want from me?”
“Nothing. Oh my god. And no, its not. Fuck Cameron.”
“So why are you being pissing?” Rafe asked, his voice getting louder with annoyance.
“Literally nothing. I’m good.” [y/n] wasn’t sure she could even put into words what was making her upset at that point. Deep down, she knew she needed to dump Rafe. This back and forth and slight toxicity had started to lose it’s appeal.
Mostly he’s been good to her. [Y/n] really didn’t want thing with him to be over but they were outgrowing each other. Plus they were headed to two different sides of the country in August; doing long-distance for an already doomed relationship would be silly.
[Y/n] pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Rafe was still talking but she’s tuned him out to be alone with her thoughts. She knew she couldn’t go to Midsummers with him. Things ended here, tonight.
“Right baby?” Rafe asked, breaking her trance.
“I can’t do this anymore,” [y/n] said, the words she’d been terrified to say finally tumbling out of her mouth. Rafe’s whole face sank; that was her answer. He’d been feeling the exact same way.
Rafe reached out and placed his hand on [y/n] arm. He ran his thumb over her skin, sending shivers up her spine.
“I love you but I’m not in love with you anymore.” She admitted outloud for the first time. “I’m sorry Rafe.”
Rafe looked up at her. “Yeah, me too [y/n].”
She felt the prick of tears behind her eyes but she really didn’t want to cry in front of him. Neither of them could seem to find the right words so silence hung between them. It was heavy in a way that it had never been before. Neither of them dared to move or spread first because when they did it made the moment real. It meant it was really over.
[Y/n] lifted her eyes and they instantly locked with Rafe’s. She didn’t even think about it as she climbed into his lap and wrapped her arms around him. He pulled her closer into her chest and gently rested his chin on the top of her head. [Y/n] let the tears start to stream down her face.
The same boy that was breaking her heart was the only person she wanted to be comforted by.
“I’m gonna go,” Rafe said and [y/n] knew that was the end. She slide away from Rafe and studied his face one more time. He looked down into her eyes and closed the distance between their lips. [Y/n] closed her eyes tight as he kissed her goodbye but his lips were gone from her’s too soon.
Rafe left the room without another word and [y/n] felt a knot form deep in her stomach as he walked away from her. It hurt so badly, worse than she had expected. Rafe Cameron was the first boy she had loved. And now he was her first heartbreak too.

not to derail at all but i see your kook!reader (cause I love it, and how catty she is) at midsummers and raise you, pogue!reader having to choose between jj and rafe, when the gang decide to ditch the party. she’s there as kie’s +1 and when the whole thing goes tits up reader is stuck between the guy she’s been crushing on for years or the kook king who clearly has the hots for her which she not against.
also, you are genuinely one of my fave writers on this hellsite 😍😍😍 notifications on and every thing
baby i am gonna sob you are SOOO nice. notifs on? i am so beyond flattered. i love u <33 this idea is GOLDEN oh my god the brainrot im having rn. im gonna try to write a little for you but i cant even put it into words
kiara said you'd make the whole thing a lot more bearable. plus, out of your little pogue group, you were her parents' unspoken favorite, so it just seemed natural for you to tag along to midsummers as her plus one.
and as much you loved your best friend and thought the world of her for inviting you, your heart was pounding your chest while you got ready in kie's bedroom, applying make up and curling your hair and putting on your best (and one of your only nice clothes) dress.
dolled up like this, you even looked the part of the kook princess that you were sure was rafe cameron's type.
even the idea of thinking about him, and impressing him or him seeing you like this, felt guilty. it made a painfully acrid taste shoot into your mouth and run through your blood—there was no one your friends hated more than the boy you'd had a crush on for as long as you can remember.
it was stupid, ever even talking to him, getting involved and sneaking off for late night drives in his truck and meeting up in hidden corners where no one else could see. that's all it was though, secret encounters and a few kisses.
you hadn't let it progress further, knowing how your friends would react, knowing how rafe is. you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to tell you you're just like your pogue friends that he hates so much. he doesn't, though, that's what makes this so much harder.
out of all your friends, the idea of one in particular finding out there was or had been or was going to be something between you and rafe made you feel dizzy and uncomfortable all over. jj was always your closest friend, always the one you relied on for everything—he had helped you countless heartbreaks and emotions and moments of doubt.
a small part of you had always thought the two of you would end up together. everyone joked about it, pope and john digging into him for carrying you home when you get too drunk or lost your shoes on the beach, kiara teasing you when she finds out jj slept over your place again.
the idea of either finding out about your attachment for the other made you feel queasy. walking into midsummers with kie, the hem of your yellow dress rustling near your thighs, you thought you were safe since only rafe would be there tonight. you thought wrong.
rafe is talking to you when jj shows up.
"y'look nice." you stare up at him, unsure of what to say. "what? now i can't say somethin' nice?"
"when do you ever say something nice?" you ask, but your smile reveals itself before you can hold it back. rafe looks at you like he could get used to seeing you like this.
"m'always nice to you. i don't know, kid, this is nice. y'should come to the club with me some time." you laugh, looking down at your shoes.
"i don't know about all that-"
"hey, you. mandatory power hour at rixon's. c'mon, princess." you turn to see jj, face bruised and knuckles bleedng. you look back at rafe, and he looks smug, it's only then you notice his messed up hair.
"jayj? what's going on?"
"rafe, i mean this in the most disrespectful way possible, go away. tryna have a talk with my girl here, so-" your face burns.
"m'sorry, your girl?"
"apology not accepted. so if you could direct yourself over there to fuck off, that would be fantas-"
"j, wha- what's going on? how long have you been here?"
"long enough for cameron over here to set his little lap dogs on me. c'mon, i'm getting kie and pope and then we gotta go-"
"but, i, i-" you stop yourself, to think about what to say, when rafe cuts you off again.
"she's not going anywhere, we're having a conversation that you interrupted, fuckin' pogue."
"botherin' pretty girls, yeah, that sounds about right. get it through your thick skull, bud, she's not interested-"
"um, guys-" rafe shrugs, staring back at jj.
"that's not what she said last night. or the night before. so how about you do yourself a favor-"
"fuck's he talking about, princess?" jj looks at you, and you look at him, and then rafe, head spinning.
"yeah, kid, the fuck is he talkin' about?"
the glass in your hand drops and shatters when you faint and fall over.
#hahah she had to faint to get out of this mess yall !!!#this was so fun to write i adore u so much <3#rafe cameron x reader#rafe cameron#jj maybank

don’t feel (2)
JJ Maybank x female reader
Masterlist
Part one // -- // Part three // Part four
Summary: A week after the last incident with your parents, you’re invited to a kegger with your friends, and unsurprisingly a fight breaks out (literally an awful chapter summary but my brain is mush so you’re gonna have to deal with it)
Word count: 2.8k
Warnings: mentions of abuse, actual abuse, fighting, swearing, (highkey haven’t read through so definitely mistakes)
——- I am in no way romanticising abuse if you have any issues with my writing pls message me
A/N: thank you all for the great response to the first part 🥺 🥰 im not 100% sure how many parts there will be because that involves being organised but anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter :)) (also i promise the next chapter will actually have more JJ in it) and I originally wasn’t gonna spend much time writing before the keg but I got carried away so sorry
“Y/N!” You heard from behind you, turning around you’re met with the smiling face of Topper Thornton running up to you.
“Hey T,” you smiled at him, “You good?”
“Yep, um I was wondering are you free tonight?” He asked, you narrowed your eyes at him.
“Depends on why you’re asking.”
“There’s a kegger at the boneyard tonight and we haven’t spent time together in ages, Kelce wants you to go as well.” He tries to widen his eyes in a pleading manner.
“We haven’t spent time together because you’re always with Rafe now, and you know how I feel about him Topper.”
You turn to walk away, but he catches your arm, “I know, but Rafe won’t be there tonight, it’ll just be like old times, please Y/N.”
You consider his offer for a moment, “He really won’t be there?”
“Nope I promise.”
“Fine. I always like a kegger and you better not break that promise T, or it’ll never be like old times again.”
“Yes ma’am.” He salutes you, you roll your eyes at him, trying to hide your smile.
“See you later then.” You give him a small wave and continue heading to your car.
You, Topper and Kelce grew up thick as thieves and they still held a special place in your heart, but ever since they started hanging out with Rafe you’d grown apart. At first you were always invited to hang with them when they were with Rafe, but it didn’t take long for him to start to creep you out - not only by how he looked at you, but also because when he got angry at something he reminded you of your parents, and you never wanted to hang around someone like that. In truth you did miss them, but your mental health was bad enough without another person like that in your life, so you made other friends, not that you liked them as much.
The drive back to your house was nice, the idea you were seeing your friends again made you feel more relaxed than you had in a while, that was until your house came into view, both your parents’ cars sitting on the drive.
It had been a week since the last incident, and life felt suspiciously normal, you knew it was too good to be true though, your parents always acted like they were sorry after hurting you or Grace, then they would still hurt you again. It was a cycle you hated, but not one you could escape easily.
Obviously you couldn’t ask them to go out tonight so once again you were going to risk sneaking out and hoping for the best.
You took a deep breath and got out of your car, heading towards the door, bracing for the possibility your parents might be in bad moods.
Opening the door, you were met with silence, maybe your mum was already passed out from drinking on the sofa or something, but you were sure as hell going to take advantage of it. You crept through the hallway towards the stairs, checking your dad wasn’t in the kitchen, a sense of relief coming through you when you saw he wasn’t, and made your way up to your room.
You fall onto your bed, sighing and looking at the marks on the ceiling. You must have been tired enough to fall asleep, as the next thing you knew there was a soft knock at your door, rousing you from the calm state you were in, “Y/N,” you heard Grace whisper as her head came around the door.
You lifted your head to smile at her, “Hi.”
When she didn’t answer you sat up properly, taking in her appearance, her eyes were red and puffy, her body slightly hunched over, and her lips quivered. Realisation as to what had happened dawned on you, your heart sinking, “Hey come here,” you opened your arms for her.
Without hesitating she moved into your embrace, your arms sliding around her slim frame, pulling her in even closer when you felt the tears on your shoulder.
You stayed like that, rubbing circles on her back with one of your hands until her tears began to subside, when this happened you pulled back slightly, trying to meet her eyes, “Where?” You asked.
She pointed to her ankles, where they were already swollen and bruising.
You stood up, going to the draw you kept supplies for situations like this and pulled out a cream for the swelling and some bandages to try and support the injury.
You began working on it, “What happened Grace?”
She breathed in, sniffling slightly, “I was getting a drink and Mum asked me to get her some wine,” you clenched your jaw, trying to keep your mouth shut until she finished, “and I went to but she had obviously drank a lot already, so even finishing the bottle there wasn’t much in the glass. And when I gave it to her she thought-“ she hiccuped as the tears began falling again, “she thought I was trying to control how much she drank and she pushed me to the floor, and um I think I twisted my ankle on my way down.”
You couldn’t help but seethe with anger, how dare they hurt her, every time it happened, especially when you weren’t in the house, you couldn’t help but hate your parents - they were awful people who you wished would die sometimes, however bad that thought was to have.
“I’m going to kill them.” You stood up quickly, ready to go downstairs and fight your mum, or dad, hell even both of them.
Grace grabbed your hand, “No you won’t.”
You looked at her, the pain in her eyes making you realise she needed you, “I’m sorry, I just hate them so much, especially when they hurt you when I’m not around.”
“Y/N, I know - this is how I feel when they hurt you.”
“Yeah but I’m the older sister, I’m meant to protect you.”
You sank down next to her on the bed, taking her hand, “I’m meant to protect you Grace.”
She leant into your shoulder, “I love you Y/N but you can’t always protect me.”
Closing your eyes you kiss her hair, “I can try, and I love you too.”
You lay on your bed together, using each other’s presence as a comfort until your phone go off, you grab it and see a message from Topper light up your screen:
T - I’m on my way to pick you up please be ready
“Shit I forgot about that”
Your sister sits up to look at you, “What?”
“I said I’d go to a kegger with Topper earlier, obviously I’m not now.”
“Um yes you are.”
“No I’m not, I’m going to stay with you.”
“No,” your sister gave you a hard look, “Our parents ruin so much of our lives at the moment, you’re going to go have fun, even if I have to push you out the window myself.”
You smile at how stubborn she is, “Are you sure?”
“Absolutely, now lets get you ready for Topper.” She says teasingly.
You roll your eyes at her comment, she knows full well you don’t see Topper as anything more than a friend, and she’s always loved to tease you about it.
You end up wearing a small black skirt and a crop top with some red lipstick, ready in time for the next text Topper sent you saying he was at the end of your drive.
“Okay,” you turn to face your sister, “are you sure you’re okay with me going?”
“Yes, now please go.”
“Fine,” you kiss her on her head, and give her a small wave as you climb out your window.
Once you’re in Topper’s car, Kelce jokingly wolf whistling at you, your only response to smile and stick your middle finger up at him.
“It’s been so long since you’ve drank with us I bet your tolerance is shit now Y/N.” Topper smiles from where he’s turned to look at you.
“In your dreams T, I know I could still drink you under the table.” You laugh, sticking out your tongue at him so he could see in the drivers mirror.
By the time you arrived at the boneyard, there were already lots of drunk teenagers stumbling around on the beach, clearly enjoying their night.
Topper clapped his hands together, “Right, let’s have some fun.”
The three of you made your way towards the keg, which tonight was manned by Kiara and JJ, you gave a quick smile to Kie when she handed you your drink, then you looked up at JJ. You had felt his eyes on you as you interacted with Kiara, but only looked at him then, you stared into his blue eyes for what seemed like ages, until Topper took your arm and guided you to where Kelce was sat by the fire.
“How did your exams go then guys?” You asked once you’d sat down.
“Really? We’re at a kegger and you’re asking about exams? You really need to get out more Y/N.” Kelce laughed, nudging your leg with his.
“Fine, what do you want to talk about?”
“Not that.” Topper smirks at you, tossing a coin into your cup.
“Fuck you.” You say before you down the bitter liquid, “Now I’ve got to get another one dipshit.”
As you stand you playfully shove him off the log he’s sat on, and head back towards the keg to get a drink.
This time Kie wasn’t there, only JJ, who you could tell was looking at you as you made your way towards him.
“Uh can I have a refill please?” You hand your red cup to him.
“Wow a kook with manners, that’s almost unheard of.” He smirks at you.
“Unlike the rest of the kooks, you haven’t done anything to make me hate you, yet - so I’ll be nice for now.” You give him a smile and go to reach for your cup, only for him to move it out of your reach, giving you a look you couldn’t decipher.
“What’s your name? I don’t see you around often.”
“Y/N Y/L/N, now can I have my drink?” You say, reaching towards it again.
Before he can say anything else, you hear Topper’s voice from behind you, “Y/N, is this dirty pogue bothering you?”
You can’t help but feel the dread in your stomach, whenever words like that are said there is almost always a fight, and you hate it.
You swivel to look at Topper, “No he’s not, I was just getting a drink,” you try to manoeuvre him away from JJ, not that it was easy, especially when JJ started speaking.
“You know, Topper,” he sneered his name, “she’s her own person you shouldn’t be such a controlling bastard towards her.”
You turned to glare at JJ, but he only grinned at you.
Topper let out something almost like a growl and tackled JJ to the floor.
“For fucks sake, Topper get off him!” You shouted, ready to try and get him off of JJ.
That was until, your head felt like it had been run over by a car, a splitting headache already forming, you looked down to where JJ was being repeatedly punched on the face by Topper, his nose bleeding, and his eyes already beginning to swell up.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. No way is he your soulmate - as far as you know you’ve got nothing in common? And everyone you know hates him, especially because of the fights he gets in. You can feel the stress and tears begin to build at the thought of a life with someone who seemed like he enjoyed fighting, you won’t survive that sort of relationship. Not with how your parents have treated you.
You tried recovering yourself, deep breaths in and out, blocking out the cheers for the fight around you, blocking out the pain in your face as JJ got punched again. And once you’d stopped shaking, you reached forward to try and get Topper off of JJ, for both your sakes apparently.
“Topper! Get the fuck off of him!” You shouted, but as you tried to wrap your arms around him to drag him off, he didn’t move, he was too invested in the fight, not even hearing you apparently - because of this he must have thought you were one of JJ’s friends trying to get him off, so without looking at you, Topper elbowed you in the gut, hard enough you staggered back in pain.
JJ seemed to register the pain you felt, his eyes wide as he looked at you, blood covering his face, but it gave him enough strength to push Topper off of him, and he made his way to you, worry somehow etched on his face even if he was much worse off than you.
Topper seemed to see where JJ was heading, and seeing you bent over, holding your stomach in pain made him realise that he’d hurt you, he pushed past JJ and knelt in front of you.
“Holy shit I’m so sorry Y/N.” His hands were on your cheeks, but you felt nothing, nothing except the tears that now escaped from your eyes.
You removed yourself from his touch, “Don’t fucking come near me Topper.”
You stood up, turning in the sand and began heading off the beach, only to feel Topper grip your arm, “Y/N I’m sorry, please don’t be mad.”
“I said not to touch me!” You shouted, ripping your arm away from him, when you noticed the stares you were getting from other people on the beach you lowered your voice, “It didn’t matter that Rafe didn’t come tonight in the end, because you’re just as bad as him now and I don’t think we should be friends anymore.”
He stared at you wordlessly, shock and hurt written on his face - not that you cared right now, he had hurt you, maybe by accident yes, but he knew about your home life and because he lost control, you wanted to hate him and never see him again.
He let you walk off that time, passing Kelce who looked like he wanted to talk to you but instead went over to Topper.
When you got to the road you realised you’d now have to walk home, so you quickly shook the sand out of your shoes then headed down the road in the direction of your house.
It was only a minute until you got interrupted again, “Hey Y/N,” JJ shouted from where he was running to catch up with you.
God you didn’t want to deal with this tonight but he’d probably just follow you home if you didn’t talk to him.
So you turned to face him, “What?”
“Are you okay?”
“Are you?” You raised your eyebrows at him, he’d been the one to get beaten up properly after all.
“I’ve had worse.” He shrugged, then rubbed the back of his neck, looking at you shyly “but um I felt your pain which means you must’ve felt mine and you know what that means.”
“Right now it means nothing JJ, I can’t deal with this tonight so please, leave me alone.”
He could obviously see how rough you felt, you were pretty sure you were still crying, and you were tired, so tired, and falling out with topper was one thing, but also realising your fucking soulmate was JJ Maybank was just something you couldn’t handle tonight.
He raised his hands, “Okay we’ll talk about this at some point, and I am so sorry Y/N, truly.” His eyes were shining slightly, but you could tell he was being genuine.
You nodded and turned around again to head home, leaving him at the side of the road.
You weren’t sure how long the walk home took, it seemed to pass in minutes with the number of thoughts that were racing through your head, it was as if you were on autopilot, climbing the trellis with ease, not even thinking where you were putting your hands and feet.
You were so out of it, you didn’t even realise your bedroom light was on, when you hadn’t turned it on before you left, so when you climbed into your room the last thing you expected to see was your mum and dad sitting on your bed with their arms crossed, expressions of pure anger on their faces.
(feel like this isnt my best but I am enjoying writing it also there might be fluff at some point but certainly not the next chapter whoops)

Rafe and Y/n, a dynamic duo. Attached at the hip, partners in crime. That was you. Ever since you could remember, you were causing trouble at the country club, or stealing your parents alcohol, or ditching class to go on boat trips on the druthers.
Because you guys were so close, people would often assume that you were dating, but you guys both knew that your friendship was too valuable to jeopardize. But every so often, you wondered what it would be like to date your best friend.
Although your relationship was full of fun adventures and memories that you forever cherish, you also saw how his dad effected him. He constantly belittles him and makes him feel worthless. He tried to brush it off, but it got to a point where he couldn’t hide anything from you.
His dad’s comments lead him to turn to harsher things, other than alcohol. It started out as weed, which was harmless, but it progressed to adderall, and now coke. As much as you wished you could help him, there was only so much you could do. The once carefree, fun, and happy boy that you loved so much was turning into an aggressive and violent one, and you didn’t want to admit that he scared you sometimes.
Tonight, Ward has a business event that Rafe needs to go to, and he always brings you to things because he gets bored and needs someone to talk to besides his dad’s annoying friends. You wore a black skin tight dress that cut off near your ankles. You curled your hair, did your makeup and left for Rafe’s house.
On the way there, you prayed that Rafe was sober. You hoped that he would know better than to do this, but you felt like you didn’t know him anymore. It broke your heart, but you knew that you couldn’t bring it up, because Rafe would just deny it.
You walked up the stairs and turned the knob of his bedroom door. It was as if you opened the door at the worst time, because in front of you was Rafe snorting a line of coke that he lined up on his dresser.
You just stood there in front of him, shocked at what you just saw. You’ve seen him do many reckless things in his life, coke included, but you couldn’t believe he was doing this before something so important to his dad. You weren’t the biggest fan of Ward, but you had to respect him, because he was your best friends dad.
He quickly turned around and wiped his nose off, his eyes looked extremely wide and dilated.
“Wow. You clean up nice” he joked
You just stared at him, not believing he so quick to ignore what you just saw.
“Stop looking at me like that” he said, making you flinch internally. You knew it was the coke talking, but you hated when he raised his voice at you.
“Like what” you asked, playing dumb.
“Like you’re disappointed. I have enough fucking people in my life who I’ve disappointed.”
“I’m sorry Rafe, but I can’t watch you do this to yourself. You need to get help. You can’t function without coke. I will support you if you want help, but if not, im done. We have to go talk to your dads friends and you’re high as a kite, not giving a shit about anything else besides yourself. Do you even care what I think about this. How this makes me feel watching you fall apart before my eyes.”
“Why the fuck do you care so much.”
“Because I love you. And I don’t know if its because your my best friend or if its more than that but all I know is that it hurts me to see you like this. And I can’t watch you do this anymore. It breaks my heart Rafe.”
At this point, tears were falling down your cheeks and you struggled to speak without choking up. Rafe’s eyes widened by her words. You had been friends since you were in diapers, but you never talked about serious stuff like this.
Your words began to sober him up, and he couldn’t help but shed a tear from seeing how much he had been affecting you.
There weren’t many people whose words affected Rafe cameron, but he really cared about you and hated that you were so upset by his own doing.
“I’m sorry” he said while wiping his tears. “I’m just sorry.”
“Come here.” you said while motioning you to hug him.
He wrapped his arms around your waist, while you wrapped your arms around his neck. You felt him cry against you and you struggled to hold in your sobs.
He pulled away slightly and looked at your lips. He leaned down and kissed you. It felt weird, like it was finally happening in a sense, but it wasn’t happy. It was full of emotion, but comforting at the same time. You pulled away and hugged him.
“Its gonna be okay.” you said against his ear
a/n: dang. thats all i have to say

Don’t lie to me - J.J. Maybank.
JJ maybank x reader
Word count: 2.124
Warnings: None, I don’t write smut :)
Request: not a request but my requests are open :)
You are one of Kie’s only kook friends. You are Toppers sister, but everyone knew you are nothing like him. That’s why Kie and you became friends. She knew you were nothing like the kooks. You loved to travel and you had an internship for this company that worked on climate change and how to stop it. You are also friends with Sarah but after she stopped hanging out with Kie you kind of lost contact because you would hang out with Kie a lot. But after she started dating Topper you two got in contact again. You were good friends and she told you in secret dat she didn’t like Topper that much anymore. You saw how she changed when he was around and how he would treat her.
You were also very smart, that’s why you skipped a grade and why this summer you graduated high school. So this summer you wouldn’t actually be in the outer banks, you would be going to New York to work for your summer job and after summer you would go to school there. Then the hurricane happened and when you got the news you went back home. You would help them with building the town back up in a sustainable way. So that’s why you are on a ferry back home right now.
You send a message to Kie and Sarah too. To make sure they were okay. They are both fine and you told them that you are arriving soon. They were both excited that you were coming back. Topper and his friend Rafe would pick you up from the dock even tough you told them not to. You didn’t really like Rafe because he would hit on you sometimes. Which you found very uncomfortable but he wouldn’t stop so you ignored it.
When you arrived you walked to them, you gave Topper a hug and when you turned to Rafe you just walked to the car. “Don’t you think you are forgetting something sweetheart?” Rafe said to you. You kept walking and said “I’m not giving you a hug Rafe, so pop that bubble in your head. Also stop calling me sweetheart it really creepy.” He just looked at you annoyed. You sat in the back of Toppers car and Rafe sat in the front.
When you arrived you unpacked your stuff and send a text to Kie asking if she could hang out. She replied with and okay but that the pogues were with her too. They were just chilling at the beach. So you grabbed your longboard that you hadn’t ridden in a couple weeks and went to the beach. It felt weird to be back home. Nothing really changed just more stuff was destroyed. You took the long road to the beach to look at what the storm had destroyed. You’ve met the pogues before and they think you're cool but you wouldn’t consider them close friends. You saw the group on the beach but without Pope. “Hey guys, how are y’all doing?” You said to them. Kie stood up and gave you a big hug. “Hey, I missed you but they kept me company.” JJ and John B just waved at you and John B said teasingly “We’re bored around here but you probably wouldn’t have that problem.” You just laughed and said “Nope I’ve been really busy lately. Even here I won’t have that much free time I guess.”
JJ looked at you curiously and asked “Why not?” “I came here to help the town with more sustainable homes. So yeah im basically going to give advice on how to do that.” You answered him “So during the day I’m probably going to be running around town.” He smiled at you. He had a beautiful smile. You’ve always found JJ attractive but you were never the type of girl to go after a boy. Also you really focused on school and work so you really had no time.
They were curious about what New York was like and you told them what had happened and Pope also joined you all. He asked you a lot of questions but not about your work more about college and the way universities would accept him. So you helped him a bit and after that you went back home.
————————
A couple of days later you were invited to the boneyard party. You were kind of tired but Sarah and Kie insisted you needed to go. So you arrived with Sarah, Topper and Rafe but they all left you when the party started. Rafe went after some tourist girl and Topper and Sarah just went somewhere together. You looked for Kie but couldn’t find her. So when you saw JJ and John B giving out drinks you walked up to them. “Hey has one of you seen Kie?” You asked them. “No maybe she just went to the toilet or something but you can stay here. Do you want a drink?” JJ answered you. You nodded and he gave you a drink. “So this is just like how it used to be huh, just parties on the beach, getting really drunk.” You said, John B looked at you and said “yeah this is the most fun we can do around here, New York probably has better parties than this.” You thought about it and said “Well the thing is I worked a lot in New York so I was tired most of the time and when I went out it ended in a disappointment. So I much rather enjoy these kinds of parties.” They looked at you very surprised but JJ asked and laughed “Why? they have better beer and more drugs.” “Oh come one JJ you know that doesn’t make the party better. At least these parties don’t make me want to cut off my feet from dancing and I can just chill on the beach.”
After the conversation ended and you had a couple more beers you walked to the water. You took of your shoes and walked into the water. You sighed because you were actually really tired and you kind of wanted to go home but also not. They would just ask more questions at home. Then you heard footsteps approaching you. “Hey what are you doing here all alone.” JJ asked. You were kind of surprised he even noticed you bc it was very dark. “Oh you know just thinking about stuff.” You said to him. “Like what kind, the good or the bad thoughts?” He asked curiously. Why was he even interested you thought to yourself but answered him anyway because of the alcohol in your blood. “The kind that makes you wanna run away and never come back.” You said, which surprised him because you are so happy all the time and this was a different side of you. “Why? Did something happen?” “Well there’s just a lot of pressure on me right now because my parents don’t know if what I'm pursuing is a real job so if I fuck this project up they will send me to a different school.” You said JJ looked at you in admiration and said “Well Y/N if you ever need help with anything just ask me or the pogues. We would love to help you.” You looked him smiling and said “Thanks JJ. I just hoped that after I moved to New York they would change their opinion you know.” He put his arm around you and suddenly your heart sped up and you blushed. You immediately stood up and said you would go home. “Is everything okay y/n/n?” He asks you. “yeah, yeah, I just want to go home. I really thank you for the conversation JJ, it was nice.” You say and he looks confused at you. So you put your shoes back on and walk back home.
————————
The next day you woke up with a massive headache and you immediately wanted to swim. This was one of your free days so why not. You grabbed your longboard and went to the beach. You laid down in the sand and thought about yesterday and the conversation with JJ. You wished you weren’t so awkward around him. You texted Kie and told her about it yesterday when you came home. She found it funny because you’ve never been like this. You went for a swim and when you came back out you decided to longboard around town a little.
You ended up at John B’s house and when you walked up the steps to enter the house you saw a black SUV arriving so you call John’s name. “we’re here in the office.” He said “Hey John do you know someone with a back SUV.” You say while entering the room and he looks through the window and immediately starts looking for another way out. But when the guys came into the office you all left and went into the chicken coup. But the chickens wouldn’t shut up so when it got too loud JJ killed the chicken and it was quiet. It kind of shocked you and he saw that and looked at you with an apologising look. You mouthed “its okay” because if he wouldn’t have done that maybe you would be dead.
When the weird guys in black left, you all came out. You let out a breath that you didn’t know you were holding. Kie gave you a hug and then asked you “I’m sorry y/n, but what are you doing here?” You looked at the group and said “ I was just riding through town with my longboard and I was bored and guessed that you would probably be at John Bs house.” They nodded and went back inside again. They sat down on the couch and Kie patted the spot next to her with a smile. Because JJ was siting on the other side. But you sat down anyway because where else would you sit. JJ put his arm on the armrest behind you. You looked down at your lap and played with you hands. They started talking about something but you didn’t understand. JJ looked at you and whispered in your ear “hey did I do something yesterday?” You looked at him surprised and whispered back “No like I said I just wanted to go home JJ.” “but you said home was where you didn’t want to go when we talked yesterday y/n.” He said “its okay JJ could be way worse.” And you looked at the rest of the group. He also looked at the group and after a couple minutes you stood up and said “Hey I’m gonna go home chill a little. Are you doing anything tonight?” They shrugged and you left “bye y/n” you heard JJ say. You smiled and went back home.
——————
You get a text that night at a weird time from an unknown number.
Unknown: hey its JJ, I really wanna talk and I know its a weird time but I could also be at another time I just wanna talk.
You: hey JJ, yeah I can hang out for a bit rn. I won’t be sleeping anyway but where?
JJ: Uhh we could go to the beach I could be there in about 15 minutes.
You: Okay I will be there too.
JJ: see ya then
——————
You sneak out of the house and go to the beach. You see him sitting on the hood of his car. “hey JJ, what’s up.” You said he looks ay you and sticks his hand out for you to climb up his car as well. “Okay so I know that was a lie yesterday and today too and you know it too. Why won’t you tell me why you left?” He says and you sigh “JJ its has nothing to do with you.” You sigh again and decide to just tell him “but when you put your arm around me yesterday my heart did something and it made me realize something. I have a crush on you JJ” “Wait what… are you serious?” You nod and he looks at you with a smile “So to assure you I have a crush on you as well.” You looked at him so surprised and smiled. “Can I kiss you?” He asks “only if you want to y/n I don’t wanna force-“ you shut him up by kissing him. He kisses you back and you move to his lap. You pull back and say “just promise me that im not just a hookup JJ.” “I swear on my damn life that you're not just a hookup. We are gonna rule the world together.” You smile and that night you end up watching the sunrise together.

Party (The Best Boys Blurb)
Im now writing blurbs for The Best Boys!So they wont be part of the actual series (The 13 chapters) but will be under the same circumstances.By that I mean like they all have a thing for her, she’s recovering and Kelce is still the mom friend.
Request:Can I request one of those blurbs now? I was thinking maybe something where she hasn’t eaten in a while and she goes to a party and instantly gets fucked up and the boys are all working over time to take care of her?
So like I dont think this is exactly what you wanted but like its kind of just what my brain made
Topper had asked you at least seven times if you’d be okay going to a party. You had insisted that you would be fine as long as they didnt abandon you, wearing one of Kelce’s shirts and a pair of jeans, the four of you getting into Rafe’s truck.
You sat in the front seat, squeezing Rafe’s hand anxiously. He had frowned, his hand ending up on your thigh, trying to help with your stress. It was a boneyard party so you werent super worried about feeling claustrophobic or being too close to certain people.
Once you guys got there the fear finally settled in, feeling like you wanted to cry.Topper had let you get onto his back, clinging to him tightly as he made his way down the sandy hills, pretty far from the beer and the loud music. “You okay?”He asked, feeling how tight you were holding him.
You nodded, not wanting to let go. “We can just stay over here, you know. We’re not drinking tonight.”He reminded you, setting you down on the sand. You noticed how most of the girls were wearing crop tops and low rise jeans, immediately feeling self conscious.
Those were the type of girls that you had used as thinspo whenever you were hungry.Shit.Kelce seemed to notice how stressed you were becoming, telling you to sit down in the sand, pulling you into his lap.Topper and Rafe sat as well, forming a little circle.
“Are you hungry?Did you eat today?”Kelce asked, noticing how some groups of kooks that he knew had brought snacks with them, knowing that they’d be willing to share. “No-no, im not hungry.”You answered, feeling ill.You had been feeling ill all day, pressing an icepack to your forehead for most of the morning to help.
Topper pouted, winkles forming on his forehead as his eyebrows furrowed. “What did you eat today?”Topper asked, somehow able to notice something was wrong. You tried to think of things that you had in your house, figuring that they’d go through your pantry or trash to make sure you werent lying.
“Ummm….uhh…”Seriously? Why was it so hard to lie to him?Topper sighed, getting up to go get some food. “Do you wanna just go home, chip? This party is shit anyways. We could get McDonalds and watch a movie.”Rafe offered, Kelce nodding in agreement, his arms tight around your hips.
“Yeah, that’ll be more fun.”Kelce rested his chin on your shoulder, relieved when Topper returned with a bag of salt and vinegar chips. “Hey, we’re just gonna go home and watch a movie instead.”Rafe informed Topper, taking you from Kelce as he stood up and carried you liked a baby, heading back to the truck.
“You know I can walk, right?”You asked, sighing when he shook his head. “No you cant.”He replied, putting you inside the truck, buckling your seatbelt for you. “Hmmm...McDonalds or Wendys?”Rafe asked, driving along the rough roads.
You shrugged, not caring that much. You werent paying attention as he drove, your hand holding Rafe’s tiredly, finally paying attention when he pulled in to your driveway, Kelce holding your hand as you hopped out of the truck, asking what you wanted to watch once you guys got inside, getting comfortable on the couch between Topper and Kelce, head in Toppers lap.
Kelce’s soda was resting between your ankles as Rafe scrolled through the movies, picking The Babysitter. “A scary gore movie at night while we’re about to eat?Really?”You asked, disapproval evident in your voice.
He pouted, telling you that it was a comedy but that didnt help. You screamed at one point, Kelce’s soda falling onto the floor. “(Y/N)!My Dr.Pepper!”he cried, staring at the puddle. They were right. This was much better than a party.
