ok i know i answered those hypothetical phivorce asks hours ago but i cant stop thinking about it. congrats anons ive decided i AM gonna jump down this rabbit hole, im gonna 100% seriously take this entire idea to its logical conclusion. this isnt even out of anger anymore i am just insane.

so, i'm gonna say dan would be the one to announce a relationship with another person. i think if phil were in a new relationship, he would not share that, whereas i think dan wouldnt be able to keep it to himself as per the nature of the yapper. are they also continuing to make content in this scenario? like on the gaming channel and as a duo? ok right off the bat, this is already an existing fanfic that was written in 2017. it's called Disturb The Universe so if you'd like to see another person's interpretation of a similar scenario, go read that LMAO. but here is essentially my own fanfic of how i personally interpret this scenario.

they continue to make content and it is the same caliber of gay that it has been since the return, but now with added knowledge that dan (and maybe phil) has a boyfriend who, presumably, doesn't want to be involved in dan's career life. OR is this a scenario in which the new bf DOES want to be involved? is he a fellow Content Creator? or maybe just a guy who wants to support his weird famous boyfriend and his weirdly close ex?

ok let's put ourselves in the mind of the new boyfriend for a second. how would you feel if you started dating this guy, whos really nice and nerdy and cute, but he just cant shut up about all his escapades with Some Other Guy? you go look up his name and find all of the work he's done and continues to do with this dude, and ok lets ignore all the written porn cuz thats just fan nonsense right, but just the sheer amount of content on this guy you went on a second date with, maybe even shagged, and the entirety of his adult life is not only publicly available but also INTENSELY tied up with another person, with whom he is still living and in fact Shares A Mortgage and even FULLY DESIGNED THE FLOORPLANS AND DECOR TOGETHER TO MATCH THEIR COMBINED TASTES AND AESTHETICS. like assuming you're not just gonna dump this guy for leading you on, what are you gonna do, just accept that you're always gonna be second place? and even if this were a scenario which you, dan's unrealistic hypothetical new boyfriend, are totally fine with not being dan's number one man, well that kind of non-monogamous relationship HAS to be something that is brought up before ANY flirting even happens. like dan's bio would need to say "polyam + partnered" or ANYTHING because otherwise dan would be a piece of shit.

ok now stop being dan's new boyfriend, and be you. you watched the twenty minute long announcement instagram reel that was apparently just a teaser for the 3 hour long youtube video that should be released at some point this decade. you'll always be a phangirl deep in your heart so a piece of you is extremely saddened by this, despite how many times in 2016 you said you would be happy for dnp even if they weren't together. but in the announcement, he made it pretty clear that he's not going to stop making content with phil. so wait, what does that mean? are they gonna post another gaming video in which the vibes are exactly the same as before? you wanna believe in your heart that dan's new bf doesn't mean that what he has with phil has suddenly changed, but (again barring this being a polyam situation, and let's say nothing about dan's announcement insinuated any ENM) that is logically not possible. so something in their content HAS to shift with this announcement. but it doesnt appear that they stopped living together, their latest video has none of their flirty antics toned down, and let's say the new bf is not a content creator and dan didn't disclose his full name and even his first name is possibly a pseudonym or so common there would be no way of tracking him down outside of straight up stalking dan, and the only public photo dan has with him has his face covered with a sticker.

so like, what would even be the point of this announcement? in terms of dan's public life, nothing would actually change, other than all of us constantly thinking of this new boyfriend in the back of our heads as we watch dnp consistently flirt with each other. i can understand where that anon is coming from, this WOULD feel like a weird betrayal. it could be a betrayal of us as fans that have enjoyed being in this little "we know you know" bubble suddenly having this sprung upon us with seemingly no benefit to us OR to dnp, a betrayal of phil who seems to be perfectly content with all of this happening but you just know can't be handling a sudden change like this all that well, especially when pertaining to his closest person in the entire world, or a betrayal of this new bae who just has to deal with the fact that dan is just constantly showing off his life-long best friend and self-admitted SOULMATE that he finds so fucking special when, even if new bf does prefer privacy, all he got in terms of public affection is an instagram reel. but again, this is all under the assumption that dan is the kind of person to do something like this, which is the point where all of this scenario is fully destroyed and this just becomes fic.

so basically, everything here falls apart because when it comes down to it, some aspect of this has to involve dan and/or phil being pieces of shit, and personally, i do not like that scenario outside of the realm of pure fiction. but i'll say it was a fun little writing exercise, unironically feel free to steal these ideas for your phivorce / phreak-up fics.

hello im a new fan of touya.. maybe not yet a bnha fan but definitelly touya. i have been avoiding bnha for the longest time and now i feel like i've opened up a treasure chest filled with diamond when i found touya.. i instanly fell in love with him. with tears filled my eyes and sobbing really really hard cause unfortunately i fell in love with him right after watching an edit of him fighting with his family.. watching him dying and in the most vulnerable states. but i guess its better late than never. (right?)

he's so beautiful and yet tragic and i believe there are so much depth in him. but where do i start as a new fan? any recomendations.

also since im collecting plushies can you please tell what kind of plushie touya have out there? i need to get my hands on them. do you also collect his merch and would you mind share it with me?

I love talking about my beloved tragic beautiful Dabi... and have been thinking about him so much since the recent episodes. He's so painfully soft behind the hurt and revenge...

Congrats on coming over to the Touya side! Absolutely better late than never and there is still plenty of Touya left to love. The Todorokis have the most interesting plot line in bnha in my opinion. I really love this story in spite of it's end, so I hope you find time to consume it fully. Since you're not a bnha fan yet I assume you haven't consumed the anime or manga content either.. but if I can say, he does not die in battle. And in my opinion, it's clear he lives on even post-war even if I wished to have seen a more concrete happiness for him! 😭

The best way to enjoy your favorite character is always to consume all the content for them lol. There's so many edits and fanart of his beautiful face and you are welcome to go through my blog tag of '#Dabi' if you wish for a place to see a good collection of them 🥺... And of course my personal favorite is reading him in fanfics, where we can truly explore his character.

If I may, might I introduce you to the other half of my love that will always go hand in hand with Touya for me... Takami Keigo/Hawks? 👀 They are basically two sides of the same coin.. constantly in parallel and Hawks is yet another tragic beautiful character. I particularly enjoy his interactions with Dabi in canon, but the fandom world for them together is endless and I could talk forever and absolutely rec some amazing fics if you decide that is also your cup of tea. 🤣

Oh plushie Dabi's yes! I want them all as well but have found them harder to come by than plushie Hawks so I am also still looking for him. (he is also sometimes quite deformed 😭 so it's hard to find good ones!) 🥲 But 'Banpresto' has released a few plushies of him in various sizes from mini keychain types to a medium more firm size and it depends which but some you can find online or others you'll have to import from Japan. I've used 'AitaiKuji' for a good place to browse in the past. There's also a 'Mochibi Dabi' which is more like a tsum tsum shape (relatively easy & affordable to buy). There's also some round ball plushies of him like from Fuwakororin and I've seen some custom fanmade kitty versions of him 🥺 like the one from AgiJagi. Beyond that he has a selection of figures, where his face looks better than others 🤣 so choose wisely (his nendo is super cute tho!). There's also been some collectible very expensive custom ones of him like the one from 'weareanimecollectors'. Anyways, happy merch collecting, I've only had the luxury to start doing more of this in the past few years so I'm no expert! But I can take some pics of the ones I have if you want to see mines. 😉

sighs my twitter TL is still in flames bc rmpg kr fan concert tickets for FC members opens today

but instead of flames its more like a TL flooded with sarcastic and disappointed voices of kr/overseas fans. its too sad to see most of them unsubscribing to exile tribe services too (CL/exile tribe mobile/FC) when before this they were the ones who always actively share about rmpg content

a lot of the fans were also disappointed that none of the members spoke up about it (especially since they HAVE stood up for fans regarding poor management before).

personally i dont want the members to make a comment or be involved bc this is not their fault. but i do feel disappointed as well. if the members spoke about it publicly, it will be open to discussion with management. but instead.....

not only am i disheartened as a fellow rmpg fan, but also as a fanta fan considering that fanta also went to korea recently + yesterday it was announced that they'll be collabing with a korean group, EPEX

i've always wanted fanta to follow suit like bbz/psyfe/rmpg and also participate in overseas events but now i can't even feel happy to see them collabing with overseas groups. im sad that i cant even feel happy for my oshi 😞

its fine if they just stay in jp. im fine just having to adore them through screens from a distance. As long as im not being told "we dont really care about you (overseas fans) tbh"

Tattooed Heart

belated happy chaeyoung day to all!! to the once's strawberry princess, i have a soft spot for her so i hope that i did her justice 😊 also, im not sure if this was a request or if i thought it up in my little head 😂 if it is requested i'll reply to the ask when i can HAHAHAH enjoy, my lovelies!! son chaeyoung x tattoo artist!reader disclaimer/s : this is floof but i suppose if you're sensitive to getting tattoos and brief mentions of alcohol but in terms of content it's nothing too wild

Chaeyoung was definitely the most free-spirited of the members and her actions and looks made that very obvious. From the open way she speaks to the ink that was etched onto her skin. Her fellow members had always admired her for her bravery for expressing herself in every way she wanted.

Which lead them here, in her usual tattoo parlour.

All nine girls hiding under the night sky to sneak off to a secret shop to get matching tattoos after some late night alcoholic rendezvous. They tumbled into the space, giggling and pointing to different designs that were on the wall.

They didn't really think of the noise they were making, they didn't really need to after all. It was in a rather remote part of the city, almost invisible to most if they didn't know where to look. Of course this was by choice so that they wouldn't be identified by fans or passersby.

A lot of idols got their tattoos done here. Most came for the hidden nature of the shop but then there were the people who came for you; a mysterious, flirtatious and artistic soul. It helped that you were easy on the eyes and skin decked out with tattoos of your own design. They were absolutely beautiful.

"Chae, little early to be back?" You asked with a dopey grin as the short rapper skipped up to the counter, tapping on it excitedly. "Didn't your company just reprimand you for the last one." You teased before she giggled and leaned on top of the counter, slapping your arm.

You chuckled softly and moved to the front to properly greet Chaeyoung with open arms. "Hello to you too, N/n!" She greeted practically bouncing off the walls. "Girls, this is Y/F/N! Best tattoo artist in the world!"

Immediately the girls waved to you, some flirtatiously while some were distracted by the neon lights around the store. You waved to them with a closed lip smile. "So what can I do for you all?" You asked before pulling a seat for yourself.

"Are you seeing anyone?" Chaeyoung's head whipped around to look at Sana, who confidently took a step closer to you, almost offended.

"Not currently." You replied chuckling dryly. "But I am interested in someone right now." Soft but audible groans of disappointment and you could only smile, glancing to the shortest member who had turned to talk to Tzuyu.

A flutter of butterflies erupted in your stomach as she looked your way briefly. "Tell me about what you girls want exactly..." You rushed out before turning a heel quickly in a vain attempt hide the tomato red that had begun to plague your cheeks, you lead the girls into the back where a number of other employees sat in waiting.

There were a significant amount of them, eight girls who were first timers and only three of you in the shop was going to prove difficult but they did pick a simple design. The date they were formed on their wrist with a small heart in their assigned color.

It didn't take as long as you all expected but there was a significant amount of whining and a few tears were shed. But they were quick to dry as you joked with them and comforted them with soft touches, as you did with many of your clients.

It helped calming them or at the very least distracting them.

Before you knew it, you were at the last girl, your co-workers clocking out for the night, leaving you to close shop. Finishing up the session was the most familiar face out of all the girls.

As Chae sat in front of you, the girls taking photos of the fresh ink on their skin behind her excitedly. You smiled up at her fondly. A part of you had always been attracted to the rapper but of course you maintained a friendly-professional relationship. Still, your favorite moments were when she was only a breath away from you.

You took her wrist in your hands delicately, turning it over to expose the unmarked skin. You met her chocolate eyes before the grin on your face grew a little, the alcohol ridden flush growing a little.

"Ready...?" You whispered to which she giggled then nodded excitedly.

The girls had ended their mini photoshoot and began to watch the two of you, whispering to yourselves with soft smiles and stolen glances.

"Stop fidgeting!" You scolded before lifting the tattoo gun and laughing softly.

"Well stop making me laugh!" Chaeyoung retorted, gently shoving you back with her free hand. You shook your head and continued, laughter still permeating in the air.

They knew about you and just how ecstatic you made Chaeyoung. It was almost impossible for her to stop talking about you right after getting a new tattoo. She talked about you and your impeccable skill and steady hand more than the actual image on her skin.

With a few whimpers, the ink on her wrist was etched. You smiled down at her proudly. "Just like clockwork, Chae." You muttered before placing a light kiss over the palm of her hand, catching her off guard.

A delicate blush dusting over her pale cheeks. You looked up at her tentatively and the atmosphere stilled around you two. Once again, it was a moment where you were acutely aware of the warmth that her hand radiated and you found yourself memorising each of the features on Chae's face.

For the young rapper though, she was looking at the tattoos that were etched onto your skin. Each telling their own stories; ones that she wanted to know more about. The meanings behind each one of them. She wanted to know you.

Catching yourself, you pulled away and cleared your throat. Completely flustered you placed the tattoo gun down and rubbed your clammy palms down on the denim of your jeans.

You looked around the room, all the girls staring at you and the second youngest of the group. You mustered out a nervous laugh before calling out, "Service is on the house, ladies."

A soft chorus of cheers echoed in the small space before you smiled back at Chaeyoung and nodding to the other girls before you walked back to the front, preparing a receipt and other things before you close up shop.

The other girls began to sneak out of the shop under the cover of night, bidding you good bye not without a few of them slipping you their numbers making you chuckle softly. Then it was only you and Chaeyoung in the shop.

"You going to be okay closing up alone?" She asked you by the door, not wanting to leave just yet, hoping you'd ask her to stay. Letting out a soft chuckle, you nodded slowly. "I'm a big girl Chae, not like you'd know what that's like." You teased with a playful grin.

Her hand collided with your arm again as she complained cutely. You threw your head back laughing again before another comfortable silence fell between the two of you.

In spite of yourself, you took her hand in yours. Careful not to brush against the fresh ink on her wrist. Your eyes bore into hers, almost challenging her to take things to the next level. But nothing came of it.

All you could do was smile shyly, both your hearts beating out of your chests, skin warm. "Sometimes these sessions just aren't long enough, huh...?"

Chaeyoung looked down at her feet as you took a step away, opening the door for her before your smile faltered, almost looking sad. "Come back soon." You waved before she rejoined the group, still looking back at the glass doors and windows from where you watched the nine women disappear into the night.

You closed your eyes with a heavy huff. You looked back down at your hand, the feeling of the young rapper's in yours still very present to you. Again, your gaze lifted to where the group went.

"Shit..." You muttered to yourself before rushing to lock the store up.

On the other hand, the entire way home the other members teased Chaeyoung incessantly about her connection with you and just how much chemistry flowed between the both of you. All the while she remained silent, thinking about how you'd kissed her hand, how you pulled her back briefly, and your words echoed in her head.

"Sometimes these sessions just aren't long enough, huh...?"

As the girls whined about the pain on their skin, she fidgeted in her seat. Eying the clock on the wall. It'd only been a few minutes since the girls had left the parlour, could you still be there? Could she catch up to you? Was she just reading into this?

Finally unable to control herself. The possibility of you and her ate at her and she needed to curb her curiosity of you. Chaeyoung jumped out of her seat, dashing to grab a jacket then ran to the door quickly, catching the attention of her members, who all knew where she was off to.

Just as Chaeyoung swung the door open, ready to run to the parlour, you had your hand ready to knock on the door. Your eyes going wide before you smiled sheepishly. The rapper's eyes burst open as she stared at you moving from heel to toe, a cheap bouquet in your hand.

"I...Well..." Your usually suave and confident voice completely missing, in it's place was an anxious drawl. "I usually...don't do this with clients but..." You lifted your arm, offering the shorter girl the flowers.

The rapper smiled at the flowers and wrapped her hands around the stems before she took a deep whiff of the bouquet. She smiled up at you, leaning up to place a quick kiss on your warm skin.

"Want to take a walk?" You offered, pointing to the elevator before Chaeyoung interlocked her fingers with yours, leaning onto your shoulder. Pulling you closer as you both continued down the hall.

"I'd love nothing more, N/n."

so this did come out later than i would have liked it to but im really happy with the way it had come out!! also, i just loved the idea of a tattoo artist with chaeyoung of all people 🥺 just works to me ya know HAHAHAHA anyway, i hope you're all doing alright and i will see you all vv soon! keep safe my lovelies i love you all with whatever is left of my soul 💓 - r

‘Broadway and Breakker’ Bron Breakker (Bronson) x fem!reader

^reader plays katherine howard in six: the musical on broadway. when the 2022 met gala came around, she had to bring her boyfriend to the occasion^

- i’m a history nerd and i’m aware it’s actually spelt ‘catherine’ but for the sake of the musical, i’m using the k - disclaimer: i absolutely ADORE blake lively and ryan reynolds but once again, for the sake of this; im replacing them with reader and bron. fight me - making up details in blake’s dress bc im blind and CONTENT B0iss - Y/L/N - your last name - got lewd towards the end

3rd Person POV:

No one would have expected this pair to walk a red carpet of this caliber together. Since they broke the news of their relationship, a lot of noses went up at the concept of a Broadway performer and a professional wrestler dating. It did bother them the first two months but they quickly decided that what random people thought of their relationship didn’t matter. They were head over heels for each other. When she was told so was invited to the annual Met Gala, she actually scared him when she jumped up and down on the couch. The email also said that she could bring someone and how could she not take Bronson?

As they were about to go on the carpet, he noticed her nerves spiking. She was rattling off things that could go wrong and mistakes she could make, “Hey look at me, nothing bad is going to happen. This is a first for both of us. You have nothing to worry about. You look absolutely breathtaking, darling.” Her dress mirrored a renaissance painting, hair down with a crown pinned in her hair. The six spikes on the crown was a nod to her role as Katherine Howard in Six: The Musical on Broadway. Though the most important part of her ensemble was the chain around her neck with a charm of the letter ‘B’. He had gotten the necklace for her for their one year anniversary; it almost never leaves her body, even hides it under her costume for the show. Bronson opted for a black suit as he wanted all the attention on the love of his life. She looked in his eyes and like magic, her anxiety disappeared. “I love you.” he kissed her quickly but gently as he responded “I love you too.”

Picture after picture, they made their way to Emma Chamberlain for an interview. “Here we have Broadway’s own K.Howard, Y/N Y/L/N!” Emma introduced. She smiled at the young lady. “And might I ask who this dapper fellow is?” “Hey Emma, you look lovely. This is my boyfriend, Bronson. For all you wrestling fans out there; Bron Breakker.” She introduced him proudly. “You two are so cute together and you look amazing. What’s it like playing out part of history on one of the most important stages in the world?” Y/N first thanked Emma for the compliments, “Well, it’s so special to me to get to showcase more women’s history that would normally go under the radar. I’m so grateful for my time as an alternate for all six queens, but there was something so raw about Howard’s story that I was over the moon when I got the role officially.” Emma turned to Bronson who was watching his girlfriend talk about her work so passionately, “Have you seen Y/N in the show yet?” He was a little nervous to answer but, “I was there opening night and I was just so blown away, as always. Y/N is just amazing at what she does and I’m just so proud of her. I could never be on those stages.” “And I could never get in those rings.” Emma was signaled to wrap things up, “So would you say your first Met Gala has been going well?” Y/N nodded. “Little nervous but I’m happy I have Bronson by my side.” she looked up and kissed him. “Thank you guys so much. I hope to see you two in there.” “Thank you Emma. Take care honey.”

Later that night

After the event, the couple made their way back to her apartment. She had changed into a different dress; a red minidress with black heels, before the dinner, opting to wear it home. They both went to change into something more comfortable until he caught her staring as he undid his bowtie. “Yes baby?” She came up behind him, wrapping her arms around his midsection, “Thank you for coming with me. I know it’s not exactly your thing.” He turned around and put his hands on her waist and lower back, “You know I would always do this kind of stuff for you. I love seeing you talk about the show. And you were the most beautiful star on that carpet. I couldn’t take my eyes off you~” “You looked pretty handsome yourself. You always look especially sexy in a suit.” She pulled him closer and kissed him hard. “As much as I’d love to take you right now in that little dress, we both have to be up tomorrow.” She couldn’t help but pout. “No baby. No pouting.” He was right. She had rehearsal and he had training. “When we come back here tomorrow, you’re all mine.” she whispered and bit his lip before walking away. “Always a temptress.” he stated, quoting a line from the show. She poked her head out the bathroom door, “That’s Anne Boleyn. She was beheaded first.” He laughed.

Reader X male hunters under a mistletoe

Okay everyone! Here’s the project that me and Vera have been working on! These will be individual scenarios! Now, have a merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!!

Wu Chang

It was a cold day and dreary day, the birds weren’t chirping their usual tune, the ground was layered by thick fluffy snow, and you, along with your two lovers were sitting next to a fire place, each enjoying some hot cocoa. You three embraced this moment, the silence was calming, until… “OW!” You and xie turned to your left to see Wujiu fanning his tongue, “Are you alright, Wujiu?” Xie asked. “Yeah, I guess im okay.” Wujiu responded with a slight smile on his face. You didn’t really know how to respond to the situation so you brought up going outside, “Love, are you sure? It doesn’t seem like a good time to go outside.” Xie remarked, “It’ll be fine! We have winter clothing anyway so we’ll be okay! Don’t be such a sore thumb, let’s go!” As soon as you finished your sentence, you dragged Wujiu and Xie, both of them not being able to finish their hot cocoa (wow reader how dare you /j)

You three had a blast. Snowmen littered the front of the manor, and some of your fellow manor residents joined you. Everyone seemed to be in the holiday spirit, and the best part was that matches were canceled for the whole week.

You all got back into the manor, still giggling after all that, once you three got to the foot of the door, you all saw a mistletoe, you looked at your two lovers and kissed them both on the lips,

“Merry Christmas, Wu Chang.”

It was Christmas week, you and Antonio were still in bed, the snowy morning sun illuminated your room, these types of mornings were always your favorite, being in the arms of your lover, a few days before Christmas was all you could ask for, but reality soon caught up to you and your partner, “WAKE UP CADETS!!! ITS TIME FOR BREAKFAST!!!” You jumped at the sound of Martha’s voice, right… it’s time to get up…

“Did you sleep well, love?” You heard Antonio ask, “Mhm, well until Martha decided to wake us up, hehe” you and Antonio giggled and got up to get ready for the day.

You both got to the dining hall, where everyone was. The chatter today was quite surprising, the more conserved ones were being a bit louder today, but that isn’t a bad thing.

Eventually you and Antonio finished, and quickly you left for your room.

The peaceful silence was back, you both wallowed in the current situation. Slight kisses and cuddles were shared between the both of you. Antonio got up, taking your hand in his.

“May I have this dance, Y/N?” You looked at him, wide-eyed but you agreed, there wasn’t any music, yet it felt magical. Spending your time like this with your lover was all you could ask for.

Once you both finished, you coincidentally ended up at the foot of your door, something peculiar caught your eye;

A mistletoe.

It looks lovely, Philip.” He blushed at your remark, “Hoho~ someone’s flushed.” You teased with a giggle. He looked away in embarrassment.

You, Philip, and his sister celebrated the holiday together. Nobody else came but hey, you had your lover and best friend with you, how could you not be content? Soon, his sister left. The festivities were over, decorations strung all over the house. Still, this Christmas was wonderful.

You and Philip finished cleaning up. You both decided to keep the decorations up until the next day. “Oh, I forgot to do a few things.” You heard Philip say a few feet away from you. He grabbed your hand and brought you under a mistletoe, giving you a light kiss on the lips. After that, you saw a cheeky glimmer in his eyes.

Hello!! After seeing what you wrote about xiaoven fics I went to see what things you usually write and omg, your archon Venti headcanons????? I am absolutely in love. So if it isn't annoying, could you talk about xiaoven or Venti or Xiao or whatever ship or character you like? I don't care what you are going to say, I just want to know more about your thoughts ^^

I- is this... bestie, this is essentially a free ramble pass- kerujsgheskdfug. Trust me when I say that in no way is this, and in no way will it ever be annoying in the slightest- i literally- lets just say rambling off thoughts is kind of my specialty, especially when provided a topic to branch off of because otherwise I'm just- really indecisive about it so- iujskdh yeah- 100% definitely down to talk about Venti, Xiao, and/or Xiaoven XD. Also, yes- it may have been awhile since i last posted one(cuz again, indecisive about which direction to take part 5), but the Archon War Era Venti headcanons are still without a doubt my favorite posts I've made. It's just such an interesting topic with such endless potential that so few people actually think about or consider or even realize is there, so i always just get really psyched whenever i see someone interact with them lol.

.... this ended up being a bit of a mess: warning in advance

Anyway! onto the actual content!

- You see the thing about Xiaoven is that there's a lot of different ways that it could end up working out, and just personally my favorite way of portraying Xiaoven in my mind is as an unlabeled relationship because if anyone in genshin would give off that vibe its these two. And a number of other reasons.

- Firstly, I heavily headcanon Venti as being an aroace polyplatonic or perhaps heavily demiromantic. However, regardless of this I just don't think that Venti is really the kind of person to worry about how he should label his feelings, thinking it's silly to try to put them in one box or the other, especially with feelings and emotions being as fluid as they are in general. Plus it fits his whole God of Freedom vibe. I just- dont think he's the biggest fan of labels or social categorization in general.

- And secondly on the hand of Xiao... his defense mechanisms are very much ingrained in his personality. It's probably hard enough for him to not go into fight or flight(the answer is fight) at the slightest affection at first, at the slightest feeling of vulnerability. Even further down the line, with his fierce dedication to Liyue, I cant help but get the vibe that the moment he recognized that he was falling for Venti he would begin avoiding him, not only to avoid distraction from his duty, but to avoid corrupting him or losing him in general like he has with like basically every other person he gets close with(even believing that the cycle had repeated once more when he first heard of Morax's death)... now imagine Venti tryna slap a label on their relationship and tell me Xiao would have a positive reaction.

- The thing with Xiaoven.... honestly, i feel like theres more ways that it can go wrong than it can go right, but if they do manage to make their relationship work out, it's just simply beautiful in all terms of the word.

- Lets talk about killing. - During the Archon War, both were forced to kill a large number of people and gods alike- Venti out of a need to remain alive to protect Mondstadt, it's freedom, and the nameless bard's legacy by extent- and Xiao out of servitude to the god that was once his master

..... actually- break here- ive talked a lot about Venti on this blog but I havent actually spoken about Xiao all that much- so i should probably do that a bit first... do note though that my characterization of Xiao is pretty flexible actually- this is just- the possible characterization of him that i tend to favor as being the most- uh- "realistically complex"

Theres a line I saw this one time in a certain story: "He is a trained weapon. That's what he is, was, and always will be. You cannot change that so stop trying." And i just- think its a really interesting concept- that applies pretty well to Xiao now that i actually think about it. - the concept behind it is this: After spending more than a vast majority of his life killing or otherwise in battle, it's become a part of who he is, a normalcy that after centuries and centuries would be near impossible to get rid of or reverse, and even if it was possible, with his karmic debt constantly eating away at him its unlikely he has enough time left for that to happen. - it sounds like a cruel thing to say about him- but in context it's actually pretty layered and i think about it a lot. It's not as much a "he's a killer lol, that his whole personality" its more of a "The centuries of trauma he experienced have conditioned him into a constantly alert and battle ready mindset while also shaping his dehumanizing inferior-in-worth-but-superior-in-capability view of himself that would have likely been necessary to get through those time, and at this point he's been under that conditioning for long enough that it's essentially ingrained itself in his personality."

- the main idea is- it's a part of who he is, that needs to be accepted as who he is because its not something that he can just up and change. It's not all he is of course but his constant battle mode, as though always waiting to be ambushed or to be granted a new target to eradicate.

a couple character story quotes:

-"His past of service under the evil god had rid Xiao of his innocence and gentleness. All that remained within him was the means to kill and the weight of his sins. The only way he could be of service to mortals was in combat." -"Xiao does not feel any hatred. Having lived for over two thousand years, no single karmic debt constitutes anything more than a fleeting memory. No grudge can last a thousand years; nor is any debt so great that it cannot be paid off in this time. Xiao has spent many long years alone. But his battles have never been in vain." -"where did Xiao have to return to? He was merely leaving the battlefield." -"since Xiao wages a constant war against dark forces powerful enough to devour Liyue in its entirety, any bystanders who witness him in the heat of battle are likely to end up as collateral damage." -"The war he fights can never be won, and will never come to an end." -"Because ultimately, the one with whom Xiao wrestles is himself."

i feel like at some point this very nearly did consume his whole personality, almost turning him into nothing more than a being of slaughter under Morax's control, devoid of any "humanity" at all, consumed and corrupted by his karmic debt like his fellow yakshas before him. - until he experienced a moment of clarity- a song in the wind, the peaceful melody of a dihua flute. - and pulled back from the border of something he wouldnt have been able to return from, there a was a shift in his mind- a concept grown unfamiliar enough with time that it took him a great time to identify what it was; a curiosity. Something that there was no place for on the battlefield, something that by all means should have been completely useless to Xiao, and yet he held onto that curiosity, slowly regaining over time, a sense of who he was and who he could choose to be with each song that the wind chose to carry towards him every once in a blue moon.

and eventually that curiousity turned to longing. Longing "for a day to come when he will wear the mask and dance — not to conquer demons, but to the tune of that flute amid a sea of flowers"

...... uh- heh- if you couldn’t tell already i have a tendency to make my characterizations/analyses of characters more serious that i probably should.

to summarize: Xiao is constantly toeing the line between his ingrained nature and his humanity- almost as though still trying to decide how much of that humanity he deserves to have, how much he is allowed to have, and how much is safe to have.

^looking back after writing this, i think the best way to explain it is that this is the view that i keep in mind/the lense that i tend to most enjoy looking through and refering back to while examining and/or analyzing his character, actions, story, lines, and overall personality.

idk- i kinda got off track but i just think its a really interesting interpretation to think about because it has some really interesting implications ig- it’s not the full extent of how i view him of course, but i kinda got ahead of myself and its long enough as is so ill just elaborate as i go- Lol i actually have in progress playlists for both him and venti and just- vibes- i could ramble about the playlists alone for hours explaining everything... It’s probably a problem- uh- ill keep going now lol.

anyways! stepping off the angst path for a brief break! Brought to you by their lines in the snow: both waiting for it to get thick enough, Venti for the purpose of a snowball fight and Xiao for the purpose of a tasty and nutritious breakfast.

but its actually something of note that Xiao doesnt actually need to eat so anything he does eat is usually out of obligation or enjoyment- so like.... snow.... like i dont blame him, but of all things- an adeptus who refuses to eat basically anything but almond tofu looks at the freezing-cold-floor-water that yeeted itself from above and decided at some point- damn- that seems more edible than basically ever single actually edible thing ever.... im gonna eat it- like- im glad if eating snow makes him happy but- at the same time...

He probably convinces Venti to eat snow too though and Venti wouldnt even resist I mean he’s wind and has probably consumed worse things in his time so- 2 anemo cryptids with glowing tattoos sitting in Dragonspine monching snow in the dead of night is an amusing thought to me.

- kay, now back to more serious-toned thoughts

One of the things about the ship that i really like is the different contradicting parallels between them:

A lot of how i view Xiao’s character is someone formed largely by the things he cant control and who was forced to accept that accepted that and learned to thrive in it as much as he can. Venti on the other hand is surrounded by things he cant control and is ever adapting to control as much as he can while embracing whatever he cant as being part of the unpredictability of the world, seeing beauty in it.

both of them have lost people and do what they do to honor their memory: Xiao continues to do what the Yakshas once did And Venti chooses to do what his friend couldn’t

Xiao’s power coming from himself and Venti’s from others And both seem to appear to use their power for their own gain while truly helping others behind the scenes

both have killed a lot of people during the archon war Xiao views it as another necessary event out of his control and Venti would likely view it as a tragedy he chose to enact himself

and this is where we meet out balance

Xiao- contrary to how i think a lot of people view him as thinking of himself as a monster- seems canonically to have accepted this as part of his duty, as long as those he killed are not mortals. I dont think he enjoys it no- but someone has to do it and he’s just accepted that its a part of his duty Venti on the other hand-

See the beauty of the ship- as someone with an angst-centric mind- is this- these are two of the most traumatized mfers in the game

Xiao is by far the one who needs the most help and who can serve to benefit most from the ship- but he is nowhere near self aware enough to recognize that there’s anything wrong or unhealthy about his mindset in the slightest-

whereas you have the contrast with Venti who sorted through most of his trauma with the nameless bard alone during the archon war and while the result appears more healthy- is still really not- but he’s not self aware of that either because i mean- who’s going to tell him? nobody even knows.

however- venti is aware enough to notice flaws in Xiao’s mindset and “Venti” enough to want to help them through it-

Xiao- while not aware enough to recognize the flaws in Venti’s mindset, can recognize where it contrasts with his own, and is blunt enough to point it out- and then it’s out there to be mulled over-

they’re so similar and yet so different and a feel just conversing between the two of them, being in each others precense, just being exposed to two mindsets that are so very different could do both of them a whole lot of good.

GEEE THAT BIT OF RAMBLING HAD LITTLE TO NO DIRECTION AT ALL- LET ME-- LET ME MAKE THIS START MAKING SENSE- WITH... DYNAMICS OR SOMETHING

I don’t think Xiao needs to sleep really- and i dont think that sleeping would do anything except make him uneasy at first- he’d probably just get nightmares after all he’s been through- but with Venti he would soon learn that it doesn’t have to be that way, lulled into the first peaceful sleep he’s had in... as long as he can remember.

anywho back to not making sense cuz im fickle and i think most questions about ships are best displayed through character interactions so like- a possible exchange thats cliche but cliches exist for a reason

Xiao: Why do you try so hard to help me, it isn’t easy. I know that much Venti, with the most adoring expression: Because you’re worth it, obviously Xiao: But surely there are others more deserving of- Venti: No Xiao, everyone is just as deserving as the next person, you included Xiao: Then why me above others? Venti: ehe, cuz ur my warrior of course [O//////O oh shit, hes right] Xiao: My contract is with Morax alone [gay panic but in broody yaksha]

it’s kinda difficult cuz neither of them really address their feelings. I mean Venti does but he does it very indirectly and its rare that he ever does it with like- genuine directness- even spilling his backstory was in the form of a song- and told in the third person- so a lot of their interactions would often have some deeper meaning, especially with Venti being the bard he is.

I come up with a lot of- errant thoughts about Xiaoven- but this is making me realize that a true analysis of their ship is rather difficult because it just encompasses so many dynamics so its hard to settle on just one and not go rambling about who knows what bouncing from one end of the ship to the other- Because you truly can and thats the beauty of it

within one moment you can be having a heartfelt conversation about the archon war the impact of lost friends and times past, and the next moment Venti is trying to forcefeed Xiao an apple while Xiao screams about disrespecting the adepti and its just- so lovely

so while they have picnics with nothing but apples, dandelion wine, and almond tofu they can sit down and talk about the dreams Xiao once devoured, and the dandelion wine and apple cider that the first Ragnvindir invented from the plants that never could have grown in Old Mond. The foods that tasted of familiarity, or of the grilled ticker fish Pervases always used to eat, foods that tasted of friends and frankly family that had since passed, glaze lilies and cecilias and qingxin flowers scattered in the surroundings and woven into Xiao’s neat braids and Venti’s now messy ones, rebraided by the steady and inexperienced hands of one unused to gentle action.

and then of course Venti steals Xiao’s tofu once the mood becomes too grim and replaces it with a bottle of wine that Xiao refers to as “vile poison,” a remark that fatally wounds Venti as he collapses on the floor, proclaiming how he can only be healed by a Yaksha’s kiss. Xiao ignores this of course and simply takes back his tofu with a slight smile on his face, but as Venti persists he soundlessly places a kiss on his own palm before intertwining their fingers and pulling him back up from where he was dramatically sprawled on the floor, grumbling about how such action was “unbecoming of an archon.” A sign of affection only Xiao would ever know about. But Venti is literally wind and I hc his senses work differently anyways so he definitely knows- plus Xiao’s face is red as the blood of his enemies and the way he is pointedly not looking at Venti at all really speaks volumes anyways.

-Venti playing epic battle music whenever Xiao goes into fights in what looks like a ridiculously extra performance to anyone else but is actually doing wonders to keep Xiao’s karma at bay

-Venti preaches the practice of “kissing wounds better” and Xiao is unfamiliar with this medical treatment but views it as unnecessary regardless because adepti have accelerated healing, doesn’t mean he’s going to stop him though.

-Messages whispered on the wind

-Venti’s 1000 year sleep- an accident, not a fun time for the yaksha, and not a fun time for Venti once he woke up. Venti is actually more afraid of restful sleep than Xiao is, hence the sleeping in trees thing, but when Xiao is there, he can sleep restfully with faith that Xiao wont let another millennia slip through his fingertips.

- Xiao tends to make excuses when doing things that aren’t necessary to his duty, like in his birthday voice line “Have this, it’s a butterfly i made from leaves... Okay. Take it. It’s an adepti amulet -- it staves off evil” because at the current point in his progress it helps him to feel like he’s allowed to do these things. Not wanting to put him off from progress, Venti never comments on his excuse but never fails to whisper a quick reminder of how proud he is of how far Xiao had come.

- Xiao’s karma saddens Venti greatly- not only because of how it effects Xiao but also because its a reminder that as much as Venti tries to honor the memory of those he’s killed, there will always be those who resent him for it, and when he took the option of living away from them, he truly can’t blame them. - And when he gets too wrapped up in thoughts, whether around this topic or similar ones or otherwise, eventually, he’ll hear the sound of a flute on the wind. It’s not divine by any means, but as his own wind connects him to the source, he gets the sentiment all the same. “What impact does one individual’s remaining wrath have on the present. You have done much to help the living in the present” the unspoken idea that Xiao has included himself in that statement, because now, with Venti’s help he’s beginning to learn just how to experience living for himself.

- Venti’s form and Xiao’s mask are off limit topics though because if either mentions it the other will counter with the opposite and the mood will turn immediately bitter at the idea that both know that what they’re doing is destructive but neither are willing to change

- Venti who has different tells for negative feelings than most people because as much as he likes to pretend it is- this form isnt his, and Xiao who is able to identify those

- many fanfics and headcanons have Venti recognizing when Xiao is uncomfortable and getting him out of those situations. I see that and I love it but i raise you: - Venti taking Xiao to Mondstadt, careful that he doesn’t get to the point that he’s uncomfortable. And nothing goes wrong exactly, but Xiao notices the the way Venti’s cape is blowing in the wind, the way he’s holding his weight, barely on his feet so much as floating on the wind, connected with the ground only for the sake of appearance, all the while he looks just as happy go lucky as ever. And without a word, he grabs his hand and teleports them both out of Mondstadt. - turns out it was just a slight thing that reminded him of the archon war (cuz i will die on the hill of him having more tragic backstory than just Decarabian), and he of course gives a sincere if not flustered thanks to Xiao, because he’s really not used to people noticing.

- Venti trying to vent sneakily through fictional stories and Xiao is just like “Didn’t that basically happen to you” and Venti is just like “<_< shit”

- Venti once said affectionally that he wished he had met Xiao sooner and Xiao immediately and seriously shot it down by saying “If you had, I would have been forced to kill you” and both of them now stay up at night wondering who would have won that fight, not sure which result would have hurt more. (because honestly I have no idea who would win in that fight and that terrifies me- I like to think it would have been one of those legends that end with “and the fight persists to this day” or something along those lines)

- “How long have you been together?” “Adepti have no need for-” “1000+ years T^T how dare you deny our love” “O///O our...? ...useless”

- its disney- let me explain- i have this- i have this headcanon inspired by watching too many animatics- - so venti has a human form that isnt his- which he would have had to get used to moving in- and he’s a bard- - uh- anyway- as a third degree black belt in mixed martial arts, i can speak as an authority on this(not really an authority since i havent gone since quarantine but lets pretend). We have a thing referred to as the big three(most things do), and those things are martial arts, gymnastics, and dance. The idea is that they reflect really well off of each other and the best in any one category are good in all three. Timing, balance, form, discipline, technique, hand-eye coordination, grace, ease of motion, they all play a part- anyway-

- Venti taking Xiao’s prowess in martial arts and acrobatics and teaching him how to dance, and as someone who’s extremely skilled in the first two, the third comes easy to him, almost naturally. And it’s delicate and beautiful and lovely and it isn’t hurting anyone. And Venti points all these things out and more and despite how much Xiao insists that he feels ridiculous he truly does enjoy it and it goes a long way towards helping him form more healthy views of himself and his worth. - Verr Goldett walked in on him once and made a joke about performing at the inn. unfortunately Venti was there and agreed on Xiao’s behalf before he could protest and- and it wasn’t as bad as Xiao thought it would be... he still wouldn’t do it again though without reason, but with good enough reasoning he could probably be convinced.

- anyways point is he likes dancing to Venti’s songs and i just think that’s really cute - just picture the idea that all the animatics you see actually have the potential to be canon- ugh

- venti tries holding something out of Xiao’s reach since he’s taller and Xiao just fucking teleports

- both need their space but when they dont, all they have to do is speak the other’s name and they’ll be there.

- and because i just had to.... love languages

- lets start with Xiao- i don’t think he’d view acts of service or quailty time as a love language tbh, and he blunt but really bad with words so affirmation is out, leaving gift giving and physical touch. However, he seems to view most material things as meaningless so- - Xiao who’s love language is in his fleeting touches, something he’s only recently grown comfortable with because of Venti, and now is giving back, which he knows he doesn’t have to do, but that he want’s to, though he’ll still continue to make excuses for each one. “you were shivering” “The inn is high up, you could have fallen..... I said what I said, you’d question an adeptus?”

- and as easy as it is to say words of affirmation for Venti- he does that for everyone- i want to say his is actually acts of service - its the acts of service that let him see just how much Xiao has progressed afterall, from teaching him to dance, to playing another song on the flute, to supplying him with the almond tofu he seems to enjoy so much. Every little thing he does helps Xiao to grow and he couldn’t be happier about that.

- of course most of my headcanons for the ship do take place latter into the relationship because- y’know the less serious unhealthy vibes allow for greater range of thought, but i do still love to think about the serious implications so i kinda hopped back and forth. So sorry about how messy it is btw, i kinda- got carried away- it kinda got some kind of structure near the end tho so- maybe it’s okay. anyway- back to... lol something, we’ll see where thought forests lead.

I’ve been following you and Never Satisfied almost since it started in 2015 and I found it was really impactful when coming to terms with my own gender, chronic illness, and my own journey as an artist. I think your content (art and otherwise) is consistently very good- I think you voice opinions and interpretations I find important and your jokes are quite funny. I think NS has always been gorgeous and it’s been lovely to see it really come into its own. I know I’m one of many fans and it’s important to me to both be respectful of your individual private life as well as still see you as a fellow human, but I’m still thankful for the influence your work has had on me and happy to have something akin to a positive role model. 01. how did you find out about anime? Actually my dad is a big fan of anime so he exposed me to a lot of anime shows when i was young! I watched a lot of Doraemon, Studio Ghibli & Keroro Gunso starting from when I was 3 years old. Ghibli movies hold such a special place in my heart, it’s been with me forever 🥰 And naturally i just introduced myself to more shows as i got older! 02. what’s your favorite anime? shingeki no kyojin, fairy tail, free!, spirited away & kimetsu no yaiba

03. do you have a favorite j-music/k-pop group/singer? ahh there is so much to choose from! but I am a huge fan of j-rock! Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’.

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

i try and write every day bc it’s super good for my little ocd/autistic brain to have routines and distract itself, so i’m glad other people can enjoy them because that makes me motivated to carry on! like, i write for myself mostly bc the content i want i sometimes get find, but filling requests and writing for other people also leaves me with happy warm fuzzies too! i appreciate you!! <3

i do miss having a discord community bc it was nice to talk to everyone in real time but it was hard work, i am glad that people feel like they can just come into my askbox and gush! i’m not very friendly in real life and people tend to think i am cold and stuck up so i work very hard to try and seem friendly and approachable online, which is much easier for me because i get to think and re-draft before i type! <3
