i keep using this word but this one was indeed messy…. once upon a time i wanted to write a modern au with younger damen/older laurent where an early 20-something damen ran away from home after some family drama (probably something to do with kastor) and started to work as a sex worker (either a high class escort or an o/f model or maybe both) to support himself financially and surprise surprise he runs into 30-something rich guy laurent who has issues regarding sex and intimacy due to his trauma and as you can probably guess they get into a relationship… BUT it took me no time to remember that i indeed suck at writing sexy stuff so unfortunately this au was shelved forever 🥲 here’s a snippet from the only scene i wrote:

It’s one of the last days of April, meaning the weather still hasn’t warmed up properly. The terrace is significantly empty with people still preferring to dine inside where it is warmer. Yet he thought the temperature was just warm enough to enjoy the outdoors.

Which is why he’s dealing with this away from prying eyes.

Laurent takes a long drag from his cigarette instead of answering, looking Aimeric up and down. He’s not even being petty when he thinks the years haven’t been particularly kind to him. The constant surly look on his long, pale face could be seen as endearing when he was in his younger days but now, all it does is to make him look unattractive and repulsive.

Surely, Aimeric must know this. Neither of them have been young for a long time.

“You’ve always been this way, haven’t you?” Laurent asks distractedly. When he checks his phone, he sees he has no new messages, to his annoyance. “A tactless whore who doesn’t know his place.”

You took a deep breath before knocking on the Cameron’s front door. It opened just a moment later to reveal Rafe, his hair pushed back as though he’d been running his fingers through it.

Neither of you said a word until he stepped aside, silently telling you to ‘come in’.
