Hey, it's been a while. Hope you've been doing alright!

I'm putting this up mostly just because I like to end things officially instead of just disappearing forever without as much as a word, but I'm leaving tumblr.

Eh, not exactly the website itself, old habits die hard and my brain has been hard wired into checking out this place every now and again over the last almost 3 years, but this blog will become inactive.

I still enjoy writing, so I postponed this announcement for months, thinking I might just post something here after all, especially with Natlan coming up and everything and- Nope. Natlan has come and gone, I haven't refallen in love with Genshin and while I still VERY MUCH enjoy writing, I've discovered that it's not the kind you can really post on Tumblr as it's more suited for stuff like ao3 (HuAsked if anyone is interested, although its not x reader)...

I will NOT delete this blog, I remember hating it whenever others would do so and I could no longer read their works, so I'm not going to do it in case any of you want to re-read what I've written over the years. I wish I could have updated my masterlist before I went, but... I just never found the motivation to at the end of the day...

For what it's worth, I've loved sharing my writing with you all over the past 3 years of my life. I like to think I've gotten better and I certainly wouldn't be able to post my writing if it hadn't been for your encouragement.

¿Que entendemos del concepto retrato?

Un retrato es una representación de una persona, puede manifestarse en distintos medios cómo la fotografía, el dibujo, la pintura, etc, buscando transmitir información que logre comunicar al retratado, ya sea por su personalidad, sus pasiones o su lugar de origen te.

¿Como ha evolucionado el retrato?

El retrato ha evolucionado desde los retratos antiguos que dependían de un artista que los realizara hasta en la actualidad donde todos somos capaces de realizar nuestros propios retratos de forma cotidiana mediante las 'selfie'.

¿está vigente el retrato en la actualidad?¿Qué se busca representar?

El retrato está más vigente que nunca producto de las nuevas tecnologías, acentuandose aún más luego de la pandemia donde el tiempo en solitario con uno mismo aumentó la autopersepción de las personas.

¿tecnología, rrss, tendencias culturales influyen en la individualización de las personas?

La tecnología, especialmente con las redes sociales se generan verdaderas fantasías plasmadas en historias que buscan romantizarlo todo, así podemos ver como todo el mundo busca 'venderse' por las redes, así el contenido se va generando por medio de cuantos corazones o seguidores consigues con determinado tipo de publicaciones.

¿Es necesario conservar técnicas tradicionales del dibujo para representar al ser humano?

Todo conocimiento tiene su aporte y su lugar, siempre es bueno tener más conocimientos respecto del trabajo a realizar.

¿Cómo podemos retratar a una persona a través del dibujo, otorgándole un aire contemporáneo? ¿Por qué?

Actualmente los dibujos siguen vigentes y se pueden compartir y alterar por medio de las redes sociales, convirtiendo a estos espacios verdaderas galerías virtuales por el medio del cual el mundo puede conocer tu trabajo.

¿Qué técnicas y/o materiales nos permitiría representar a una persona de hoy a través del retrato?

Creo que depende mucho de cada persona el material a utilizar, pero me imagino que en un futuro próximo la mayoría estarán por lo medios mediados por la tecnología ya que actualmente es la principal fuente de información para las personas.

Retratos

Mateo: el retrato fue realizado en arena debido a ma conexión que tiene mateo con el territorio en el que creció, el quisco, y su actual interés por la pesca artesanal.

Aida: la señora Aida por otra parte no conserva tanto interés por su territorio, dice disfrutar de vivir acá en la ciudad con su hijo. Ella la represente con labial rojo debido a que es un color muy intenso que utiliza en su pelo, labios y ropa, en la misma línea de habitar la ciudad.

Inés: la señora Inés por otra parte vivió el exilio producto de la dictadura de pinochet, habitando Venezuela y Chile. El dibujo fue realizado con porotos negros y blancos, representando alimentos típicos latinoamericanos, simbolizando el poroto blanco chile y el poroto negro Venezuela. El soporte es una caja de cartón cortada busca transmitir la fragilidad de viajar solo con lo que entraría en una maleta representada en una caja.

Silvia: Silvia se presenta con sombrero de huask, cuenta que es de quebrada alvarado, una de las cosas en que silvia destaca es en la cocina, por eso la represente por medio del arroz de cocina, producto típico por su economía, también busco representar por medio del grano este origen campesino.

Autoretrato: me ayudo de medios tecnológicos, el celular para tomar fotografía, luego la traspaso a papel y dibujo las siluetas con flora nativa, buscando representar que somos parte de esta tierra, al morir nuestros cuerpos vuelven a la tierra y se convierten en flores. Busco representar también la conexión entre cuerpo, pensamiento y sentir son atravesados por el paisaje y nos hace parte de todo, la biodiverdidad.

I did say this was something I didn't want to talk about too much but I've had too many asks about it now (nothing against this anon btw or the others) so I thought I'd speak my mind

I do not support lucas and I won't support lucas

I think @xrenjunniesx explains it pretty well but my personal reasoning is pretty simple:

he has some heavy heavy allegations and I'm not even going into the 'he admitted to it' or 'he was proven guilty/innocent' that's not what this is about to me— simply put its about the fact that what he's been accused of isn't a topic you can just brush over lightly and bat an eye to and pretend it hasn't been said

a clear statement to say what actually happened hasn't been made, and so I won't support him because that's not what aligns with my morals

as far as his documentary goes, I didn't watch it and so I can't speak on it

but just because he redebuted is not enough to suggest he's innocent
