it was not what i expected but it was still good as an adaptation. i didn’t expect a musical but i guess it fits bc the nature of magic is kinda cheesey and disney princess-y. it also connects everything together more succinctly but i also liked the ambiguity of the original. i havent reread it in a couple yrs so i can’t say for sure how it compares but i recognized most of the plot beats except for the one about hana spying on the magician — not a change i liked… i was afraid it would go down the “dangerous guy w mental illness” path

Se nota el esfuerzo de la autora con la cantidad de detalles, que si no los notas no pasa mucho, pero sorprenden.

A este grupo de amigos lo quiero mucho <3. Es un grupo diverso, cada uno lidia con distintas preocupaciones, pero a fin de cuentas los cuatro son jóvenes intentando entender la vida. También vemos algunos temas desde la perspectiva de niños con reacciones muy acorde a su edad. 

En el mundo de la historia existe la magia, sin embargo, es realista.

En general, cualquier historia de OMYO tiene esa sensación de calidez, crecimiento personal y vínculos sociales significativos, pero esta historia es mi favorita. La relación que se da entre los protagonistas surge de forma natural y el apoyo entre los hermanos me pone sentimental. Me encanta el romance, pero la amistad en esta historia para mí es lo mejor. 

PIGPEN  || Matadero 

Capítulos: 67 - Completa

Es un poco fuerte, así que asegúrate de consultar las advertencias. 

Es una historia engañosa, pero muy interesante. Cuando la acabé no podía dejar de pensar en el final y aún me cuestiono el destino del protagonista. 

Romance 101 || Guía de citas para principiantes

Estado: completa en inglés

Yo vivo huyendo de historias con más de un interés amoroso, sin embargo, en esta historia lo llevan tan bien que no me importó y las relaciones son sanas. A pesar de ser romance, las vidas de los personajes no giran en torno a ello, sino que es otro aspecto que les permite crecer como individuos. Además, seguro te hace reír al menos una vez en cada capítulo. 

Spirit Fingers 

Capítulos:166 - Completa (inglés)

Para mí tiene las vibras de un kdrama, cuya historia describiría con la palabra confianza. 

La ilustración y los atuendos de los personajes son fabulosos. 

Triple Nacional 

Estado: completa en español 

Es como tomarse un respiro para sonreír en medio de una semana estresante. Igual toca temas importantes, pero ver a los personajes crecer es lo que te hace sonreír. 

Unholy Blood || Sangre vengadora 

Capítulos: 92 - Completa 

Acción, romance, vampiros, comedia. Estas cuatro palabras fueron suficiente para llamar mi atención.

Corta, pero significativa. Es muy tierna y Sori es una protagonista de las buenas. Además el arte es precioso.

OK I FINALLY got to watching it after unintentionally dropping it last yr,,

I watched eps 1 & 2 last night and here are my thoughts so far.

Ildeung celebrating his little wins at rizzing Ai up has got to be the funniest shit ever 😭

Ai starting to believe in magic again when - i) the butterflies lit her path and ii) Rieul made money out of cards (followed by Ai's discovery that it was prop money but we'll pretend that didn't happen) was so:

ngl I was a bit letdown by the acting, as i usually am with kdramas. maybe im just too picky idk but overall, it's been a very enjoyable watch so far!! i will continue liveblogging my reactions ep 3 onwards

Ah, how hilarious it is that I watched Annarasumanara (reluctantly) for Hwang In-yeop in glasses but ended up finding two new favourites AND a ship that has me in a chokehold 🥴

Ildeung and Ahyi from The Sound of Magic gave us academic rivals (for Ildeung at least) to friends, to business partners, to friends, to angsty friends, to friends again.

Among all the leading ladies Hwang Inyoup has ever had, from Sia, Jugyeong, Ahyi and Soojae, Ahyi got the worst treatment from his roles, but she's the only one gave him care, even platonically.

That's why they're my favorite.

I really want to see Choi Sungeun and Hwang Inyoup back in another drama. Please give it to us.

I finished the sound of magic and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.. I went in with the lowest possible expectations but it was actually really really good and I couldn't stop thinking about how well it would work as an actual on stage musical

Kinda tired of people going on about Korea having unreasonable beauty standards and then turning around and saying stuff like “Why isn’t Na Ildeung handsome in the webtoon? He’s so ugly!”

Just watched episode 2 of tsom, and... safe to say there were a lot of 'wtf?!' or 'you gotta be f*cking kidding me!'

Why in the world would hana think that ahyi has a sugar daddy? AND ILDEUNG AT THE END?!

Honestly, i loved his song tho. And how flustered (i guess) he seemed at first when he was with Ahyi. BUT THAT DOESN'T COVER UP THE FACT THAT HE WANTS AHYI TO FAIL THE MATH MIDTERMS. AND FOR WHAT?! DON'T YOU LIKE HER OR SUMN? WHY TF WOULD YOU WANT HER TO FAIL?! AND WTF IS WITH THAT THING AT THE BACK OF HIS NECK THO?

Not to mention how rieul's trick sent s h i v e r s down my fucking spine. I was actually scared he's really gonna kill hana (not that i care about her. She seems like a bitch to me)

Am I excited for this news? Truthfully i’m on the fence but! I’m so happy we get Hwang Inyeop on a new drama shortly after his last project. Also Choi Sung eun is an amazing actress and I can’t wait to see her act as Ah-Ee. (No comments for ji chang wook...nvr that keen so yeah)

Just was wishing inyeop to take on a mature role or something outside of a high schooler (unless they changed it for the drama) cos we dont want him typecasted. But we saw how he grew as an actor and how much he studies his character so I’m pretty sure he’s gonna bring his own interpretation of Na Ildeung’s character so I look forward to that.

I only read like 5eps of Annarasumanara on webtoon, and it has a dark, magical and reality of life kind of vibe so i’m curious to see how this will be made into a drama. The black&white aesthetics from the webtoon is beautiful too so I wonder how the cinematography will end up. Looking forward to more news and see how this drama will be~
