Cover of the day: Day 11: Mint Postcard from Erevan, Armenian SSR

Today's cover was sent... never, this is a mint postcard (Didn't I do this bit before? Oh yeah on day 8). Well Its from 1975, the 27th of May to be specific, But it was purchased in June 1978.

Let me first tell you how I acquired this postcard. I was in a thrift store, well the only thrift store in a 50 Kilometre radius (That's the bad thing about living in a tiny little baby country) and in the corner I saw a large box, that piqued my curiosity so I looked inside. The box was full of many envelopes; each filled with many mint, unsent postcards, and every single envelope labeled with a location and a date. My guess is that someone bought a few postcards everywhere they went, there were ones from Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, France, ETC. Of course, my interest being The Soviet Union, I eventually found a few interesting things, Two envelopes of Postcards one from Yerevan/Erevan and one from Tblisi, and three sets from The museum of National Architecture in Ukraine, The Uzbek city of Bukhara, and one from Moscow. Here's the Envelope from Erevan (Erevan is the Slovenian spelling of Yerevan, Erevan was also used as the English spelling until the 1980s), This envelope contains about 10 postcards

The one I picked from this envelope features Zvartnots airport in Yerevan (Though Its called Zapadnyy airport on the postcard for some reason?)

The plane featured here is an Ilyushin Il-18 airplane with 1960s-Early 70s livery (Fitting with the date of issue of 1975)
