I saw someone mention biting Mitsuhide, and I just want to say, I think he'd be into it.

He thinks he's a villain, a monster, who is undeserving of nice things. It's obvious he has a thing for self denial and finding ways to punish himself for his perceived misdeeds.

I think this would play out with him being into edging, S&M. Of course, he literally has a real actual dungeon (for prisoners), and is very aware of pain and pleasure and the things they do to people.

Remember when Hideyoshi snapped and punched him? He laughed.

Ikemen Tier List

whoaaa two posts together whoaaa (you guys didn't witness me doing this first to see if I had the energy to post a finished drabble today)

I've had trouble with the tier lists for a while because I feel like it didn't explain how I felt about these dudes half of the time, but I figured out a better way to mark the tiers and I feel like this sums it up great. And now you too can have a handy dandy 'How does Scum feel about X?' list! If Roderic had a sprite, I would put him in the daily thing, or maybe the top one? hm

Anyway, I'm gonna explain the tiers under the cut for extra clarifications.

[*Wants to write fanfics for 24/7*] : The Current Main Blorbo. All tremble before him - for he holds the writing braincell and he's all anyone hears about forever and ever - until another blorbo takes his spot (usually takes a few years). You'll see him as icons and photos and and and--------

On my mind daily, in some form: Sometimes these characters will be paired with the #1 chara, and so by extension they're thought about often. Sometimes they're not paired with them, but still thought about often. Despite my posting habits, I do enjoy these guys still. A lot, actually.

Think about a few times a week, offhandedly: Rubs chin. I think of Chev and Elbert as a rare comfort. A type of quiet one that is a plesant encouragement in some way or another. Or I get perplexed thinking about how they'd look ordering shitty coffee. Not much of an inbetween. But really I sometimes just enjoy the quiet comfort thoughts when i need them with those two.

Think about a few times a month: They used to be higher up in the faves, but I either got enough of them at some point (in a good way), friends love them with such glee that i just enjoy watching them simp for them, or they just got naturally shifted down in the line as more characters came into view. I won't talk about them much but I do like em in multiple ways.

Scared to think about (for my wallet): legally not allowed to like because I cannot max out my credit card (a joke). I really really really like Alfons and Victor but I am terrified they'll shoot the ranks in a couple of months, and that my wallet will be screaming to be spared (darius is still up for debate)

Random simping once a blue moon (idk why): I read a translated story of roger once when sitting in my car on a lunch break. I was reading as I was getting out, and nearly fell into the horn when reading about his cock. It tormented me for a week. This happens ocassionally with the others... maybe not a translated story, but i'll have a random thought that hits me like a bullet train and suddenly I'm stumbling and struggling to think about anything else for a bit. (Leonardo is here as punishment, he knows what he did)

Was Favorite when playing but ghosted game: Ikerev was the first(?) cybird game I played, followed very very closely by ikesen. I don't see a lot of stuff for them naturally on my dash, and bluntly ikerev just could not hold my attention especially after I lost my data and got cockblocked by shitty gacha pulls, but I hardcore simped for these dudes when I played. Well, jonah did get pushed to the bottom of that tier fairly quickly, but Shingen is still #1 there. Anju (oc) was originally made for him, and I suspect that when his...eternal(?) is released in eng, I'll be feral for a little bit and then go back to gil simping.

No opinion really: I just.....shrug. They're neither bad nor good. These are characters who I was either SUPER excited for and then sorely disappointed, characters I haven't felt drawn to, or characters I just....never....felt anything towards...even after reading their route... I'm assuming they're just not my type and that's why they're here.

No: I hold negative opinions due to XYZ personal reason. Or their vibes are just rancid to me. I don't care if others like them or not, I don't judge others for liking them.

Xiāng wèi

A short HC about what Xiao’s scent is like – inspired by a chat about his outfit and paraphernalia, that I’ve recently had with a friend on discord. 香味 (xiāng wèi) means fragrance 

Xiao's scent is ephemeral and light, a hint of qingxin, mixed with remnants of a temple incense and the slightest touch of copper.

It comes as fast as it goes, quick to dissipate the moment he himself disappears in the usual, abrupt fashion, leaving behind nothing but a few shimmering particles of anemo energy.

You are just as quick to miss it as you miss him, whenever he's not around, leaving you longing to be wrapped in his arms, enveloped by both him and the familiar fragrance.

He wouldn't admit to it, but he enjoys the fact that it somehow still manages to linger on you, a small smile gracing his lips at the traces of it, as he nuzzles against the soft skin of your neck.

His fingers stroke your sides, all the way up, ‘till his hands cup your face, slow, loving caresses leaving even more of his scent on you, marking you in the subtlest of ways.

Jīn chì

金翅 [  jīn chì ] means gold wing / gold-winged warnings: avian AU, blood, excessive grooming of own feathers  word-count: 425 prequel of Of wings and golden feathers  reader is not yet aware of Xiao being a bird 

More than anything, Xiao wishes to reward you for your kindness, driven by reasons beyond his own understanding. Whenever you are not around and he relaxes into his true form, he instantly feels an itch, a persistent sensation that makes his wings spasm; until at last he extends them fully, allowing his beak to dive between the ruffled feathers, plucking a few of them out with an irritated chirp. Droplets of crimson dye their shafts and he bows his head down in shame, shifting back to tidy up; quickly disposing of the stained plumes, gripped tightly in his shaking hands. Or so he thinks.

Unbeknownst to him, a single messy quill escapes the frantic eviction, fluttering to the ground with a swirl. In the days to come, more of them join the first, ending up scattered across the space you share, causing you to eventually find a few of them at very random places. Intrigued, you start picking them up, carefully collecting them into a pile, transfixed by the way they seem to reflect light as if they were made of real gold, instead of merely sharing its hue. When Xiao first catches you gathering them, he is aghast, unable to process why anyone would want to handle his filthy, discarded downs. It takes him an immense amount of effort to hold back from stopping you. But after witnessing just how fondly you gaze at them, marveling at the fascination with which you behold each of his own unwanted remnants, his expression softens, chest swelling with affection. Instead of randomly prying them out, he now takes his time plucking away at the prettiest plumage that he can find sprouting from his skin. Gentle and slow, to avoid causing himself any further harm. He imagines it not being himself, but instead your hands softly preening him, fantasizing about your warmth and delicate ministrations. Incapable to verbalize his desires, he instead proceeds to leave these fine, clean feathers for you to find, overjoyed to see the spark in your eyes each time you happen upon any of them.

One day, you call for him and he arrives – just like he always does – eager and happy for you to request his presence. Only to find you pushing a crystal jar into his arms, filled to the brim with the scavenged fluffy gold. You beam at him, telling him that they're beautiful, just like him. It's then he knows he has chosen right. The parts he picked for you so foolishly. And for him to be yours.

Neither of you really plan for it to happen, but Xiao imprints on you.

After a while, spent in denial of it happening, he eventually confesses this fact to you; his sharp gaze holding you spellbound, while he describes what it means.

True to his enlightened beast form, his habits and mannerisms are a lot more bird-like that you've ever realized, and things start making a whole lot of sense when put into that perspective.

A few months into your relationship, you notice his hair getting softer, lush strands of teal now slipping between your fingers easily, when you card your digits through them. Xiao explains that, much like the aftermath of preening feathers, when the interlocked feather barbules become separated, they form a clean plumage and the same goes for his locks – and  that he likely neglected taking care of it himself, due to not previously having a mate.

Visibly overwhelmed and very touch-starved, he only allows for you to play with his hair for short periods of time at first, but eventually grows very keen on being tended to. However, you also quickly learn that it is best to keep to patting his head and avoid other areas – as he is very reactive and swiftly has you pinned against the wall, should your hands stray to his torso or other body parts; lust clouding his golden orbs, while he pecks your neck possessively.

Random Genshin Idea

Imagine the reader is an anti hero in genshin and is one of the fatui harbingers who was forced to join. Every member who worked under her had a similar reason for joining such as being forced, or didn’t have a choice, etc. and that has become the reason why every fatui member who works under her are extremely close to each other like a tight-knitted family. To others who aren’t working under her, she is known as the kitsune for being cunning, intelligent, elusive, tricks, very good insight, silver tongue, and an enigma.

To the ones who worked under her, they see her as a family member. Plus points if there are kids that need to be babysat while keeping the fatui business a secret from them? Done! They can bring their kids or toddler siblings to the reader's headquarters. Tutor? No problem. No one to watch over them while parents who work under her are on a long mission? They can just bring them and the reader would be the one taking care of them. Imagine that the kids of the fatui members became close friends due to that. Then they would have a lot of doting aunts, uncles, and older siblings who are working under her.

She is against the idea of killing people but, orders are orders from superiors and it needs to be followed in order not to raise any suspicions towards her. But there are times that she will be the one who will judge if the target really deserved to be killed or not, especially the witnesses. Imagine using the destruction and fire to villages, and she and the other members used it as a cover to help the witnesses escape and guided them to her (insert her home town or city) for refuge. And in return, all they ask for the witnesses is to keep the whole thing a secret due to the reputation that needs to be held. The ones who worked under her were extremely skilled in looking for information and tactics. They do this out of spite due to their dreams being broken and all.

She may have the reputation as the kitsune, but deep down despite all the blood that has coated her hands, she still wanted to help anybody in her own way. She still cares but she would only show it towards the ones who are worthy enough to see it or when they are outside of their work. She would still give nudges and any indirect help towards the Mc, the favonious knights, or the Quixing without letting the ones pick up her intention due to the image that she needs to put up. Plus points if the traveler and few others noticed, they never mentioned it or they figured out the reason.

Edit: also plus points if the subordinates who worked under her were the chaotic bunch out of the rest.

It is up to you guys if you want to write this as an inspiration for a headcanon or not. I just like to share ideas that randomly pops out and leaves in a flash.

Mitsuhide period headcannon:

You are his favorite hobby. You often wonder about his mind reading skills, because you'll open your mouth to comment, or ask for something, and he just hands it to you before you say a word. It's all observation, not only of your face, but your habits. By the 3rd period, he already knows the pattern of events, what happens when. And can start anticipating it. Because patterns and facial expressions are his thing.

Occasionally, when you have gotten used to his anticipating your needs, he will throw you a curve ball, and give you something odd, just to make you laugh.

The feeling of cool fingers lovingly combing through your hair, slowly and gently coaxed you from the blissful comfort of your dreams and into the waking world.

A quiet rustle of fabric sounded out as the owner of said fingers realised you were awake, and after a moment you felt them lean over you, pressing a gentle kiss to your brow as they murmured a good morning. The action pulled a sleepy smile from you as you as you murmured a groggy reply, their soft huff of laughter sounding like music to your ears.

After a few more minutes of peaceful silence as you simply enjoyed their gentle affections, you felt them reluctantly draw away, a soft shiver running through you as their claws briefly brushed over your skin. Laying there in silence, you listened as they moved around the room, getting ready for the day, not quite willing to leave your warm little cocoon just yet.

Eventually, the sound of them settling their weapon into place at their hip, echoed crisply across the room, and instantly you knew that they had finished in their task.

Despite knowing that they wouldn’t dare leave without saying goodbye, you still found yourself hastily sitting up the moment they finished, no doubt looking rather comical with the way you had bundled yourself up in your blankets. 

A warm chuckle of amusement was your companions answer, and eagerly you listened as they made their way across the room. Soon enough, you felt their hands tenderly cup your face, warmth filling you at their touch and a smile quickly forming on your lips in response. Instead of the goodbye kiss you had been expecting however, you felt them shift slightly, before hesitantly brushing over the nearly invisible scars that had taken your sight on that fateful day.

Instantly, your heart sank, knowing exactly where their thoughts had shifted, their face no doubt twisted with grief and regret, the kind they only ever showed in the privacy of your rooms. 

Though you wanted to say something, you knew that no words you could offer, would soothe the guilt that sat so heavily on their shoulders. In their mind, it was their fault that you had lost your sight, especially since you had been so close to them at the time, and under their protection. 

It was something that they were convinced they could have avoided, and unfortunately there were no amount of words that were ever going to change that belief. If anything, their guilt had only increased ever since the two of you had gotten together, though it had rather quickly evolved into overprotectiveness.

Knowing all of this, you simply lifted one of your hands, pressing it against the back of theirs as you turned your head and kissed their palm, reminding them of your forgiveness. The soft hitch of their breath in response, likely would have gone unheard by someone who wasn’t so attuned to all the sounds around them, and quietly you pressed another kiss to their palm, just for good measure.

Letting out a shuddering exhale, they finally shifted again, shaken from their brooding thoughts thanks to your gentle actions, and tenderly gifted you the expected parting kiss. 

With a smile on your face, you listened as they left the room, before contentedly wiggling back into your comfortable little pocket of warmth.

Though you’d never lie and say that you didn’t miss your sight terribly, part of you couldn’t help but think that it was all worth it.

It was what finally brought you two together, after all.

Loving yourself, accepting who you are, knowing your worth...

One of the things I love in Cybird’s games is these scenes where MC’s words are about self-love, which is related to mental health, well-being, and positive psychology.

It’s like the game is telling me that we are not worthless. That we should love and value ourselves more and we should see our worth. That we are also important to the people around us.

I don’t know, maybe I’m the only one who sees it that way. This is just a random personal opinion of mine, after all. 😅
