Always interested and curious about the future where you came from ; ↪ After your conversation, Nobunaga got immediately to work - seeking out the maids and cooks to arrange for them to learn how to make your favorite sweets and to perfect the Nanban desserts that you mentioned and commissioned for a carpenter to make something close to what you described as the chessboard and it's pieces ; ↪ One night when homesickness threatened to swallow you whole, you were summoned to his room. The hallways were quiet. All you listened to were your footsteps and the sound of your heartbeat as you got closer to where the warlord's room was situated ; ↪ Upon entering the room, your attention was immediately captivated by a stunning tray of meticulously crafted desserts, each one looking more irresistible than the last. As you continued to survey the space, your eyes then landed on a carefully arranged chess board, its pieces seemingly ready for a challenging game ; ↪ The welcoming and content expression on Nobunaga's face momentarily eased any feelings of homesickness you may have been experiencing. Settling into your seat beside one another, you engaged in a friendly game while savoring the delectable desserts before you. It felt like..home again.

After being thrown back in time, saving Nobunaga, then proceeding to run at the tought of being spoiled and realization fo being tossed back in time. You found the reason why you're here, and the root of all of the problems- who has become.. a Ninja? You kinda just shrugged it off and the two of you got to talking, then he realized. You don't have an arm-

"Oh yeah- it kinda went poof! When comeong back here-"

Sasuke imedeately started to panic and imedeately apologized for this and the instability of your trip and-

"Hey- hey- it's ok! It was like that before-"

Sasuke sighed, relaxed, processed it, and let out a chuckle "I'm glad you can make some jokes-"

Over yout time the two of you got very close and friendly. He also joins in on the missing arm jokes, fooling everyone, and getting people to laugh, even in hard times. Sasuke also helps you with self defense things since he is more experienced with one handed blades and more speed based attacks.

Nobunaga:

He dosent care that you don't have an arm, actually, he respects you even more. He sees it as a show of a strong charicter that you don't let it hold you back, allowing yourself to do whatever you know you can. This makes him all the more proud when you request a job, he makes sure to have someone there to help you if needed (I mean- he has the same with Mitsunari- Mitsunari dosent realize and probably would feel bad about asking for help). When he does spend time with you, he makes sure you're happy, safe, and flourishing. You easily put a smile on your face with some of the stories you share, the passions you have, and so much more. He is proud to have found such a beautiful gem

Masamune:

The flirt off is imedeate. You gotta understand that you two, are firing so many pickup lines, jokes, everything you can think of at eachother. Chemistry? Imedeate. It honestly makes everyone a little jealious of him and his fans a little jealious of you-

Hideyoshi:

So- the Oda's local mom, can, will, and does worry about you alot. He will chastise you about joking about your arm, then sigh, and do something with you that's fun as a bit of an apology(with headpats).

Mitsunari:

Takeing care of Mitsunari is one of the easiest jobs you have, and you don't mind it much either. Spending time with him is a joy, and it's clear that things with him are also improving. It's just a win for you, a win for him, and a win for Hideyoshi.

Mitsuhide:

You should understand that- this man probably dosenr get jokes- at all. Unless he makes them of course. (My HC so ye lol) so- you made it your solem duty to make this man laugh at one of your jokes. So far- it has failed...

Ieyasu:

I think he would be a bit curious about you and how you have done things. Of course, he won't say SHITTTT, but he follows you around when he can to awnser as many questions as he has. You two do hangout and he helps you work on differnt medical things, seeing that when it comes to war, you want to help people not have to face the struggles you do. He finds that admirable. He names a three legged cat after you that he has taken in, yes they and Kitty play often-

Ranmaru: (SWEET BABY BOIIIIIIIIII, we don't have much for cannon so this is based off of the limited knowledge I got :/)

He often does his best to help you with your job(s) when he thinks that you may need it. He is overprotective of you, and is a little pushy. It's sweet.. but uneeded. So you make sure that he knows that you can still do these things and you don't need his help unless asked. So he backs off, but still tries to be there if you need it.

Keji:

I know even less about him so I'm going to skip

Shengen:

Another flirt off! You two honestly have alof of fun with your flirting, you do also get that bit of chemistry too. He is careing, but not to thr point of being overbearing. It's a bit of a nice change compared to some of the Oda.

Kenshin: (my lord of bunnies)

He very much respects you. He did tryyyy to lock you in a cage, but the rest of them somehow managed to just give you a room in the palace instead. You very much can keep his pace when drinking, terrifying everyone but him. Also, bun army cuddles

Yukimura:

He thinks you're a badass. He even joins Sauske in teaching you self defense as a attacker. He holds alot of respect for you and the skills you have had to learn because of your disability. He definately learns how to do some of the things you can, just in case it is needed in his future. He is also annoyed about Shengen teasing him about wanting to marry you-

During wartime:

As allways you are in the back helping warriors recover from wounds. There is another nurse helping you by being an extra pair of hands. After battles you do also help as much as you can with the cooking and serving food.

Nobunaga Oda.

You had expressed your desire to celebrate the festival at the castle, as a way of showing more of your culture to the warlords, as well as a way to celebrate even when you are far from home. Nobunaga became interested and provided everything needed.

He wanted to know everything, so when you decided to perform Aarthi, Nobunaga was the first one to want to witness. Everyone retreat away the moment you begin performing, afraid of getting burned, except for Nobunaga.

He was actually smirking, unbothered by how close the fire got to him.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi was the one to panic the most, telling everyone to move away so that they wouldn’t get burned. He will desperately try to stop you, he doesn’t want the whole castle to burn.

As to not make you sad and to continue the performance, he will suggest doing it in your place, since he was taller and had better control of his strength.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

Mitsuhide will have a wide grin on his face as he observes the others trying to escape the fire, finding everything entertaining, specially how oblivious you seemed about your surroundings.

To make it funnier, mitsuhide will suggest that he could also perform it, only to purposely scare the others with his performance.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

Kenshin will like the idea of a festival, and will want the whole town to celebrate it. He will make it so that everything resembles the festival. Once you begin to perform the aarthi, kenshin will actually get excited.

Seeing how close the fire was getting, he didn’t bother move away. In fact, he felt very energetic while dodging you.

15- A secret

Nobunaga: Despite how cold and ruthless he may appear to people, Nobunaga was actually quite soft hearted and rather weak to his dear princess. If she was another type of person, say more like his vassal Mitsuhide, he would be in trouble. She could ask him for her own plot of land and he would grant it to her, because admittedly, he had a soft spot for his dear chatelaine. There was a reason he spoiled her rotten and gave her free reign to do whatever she wanted in the castle and outside of it, traveling grand distances with her friends just to get new fabrics. To see her happy made him happy, and her innocent perspective on life that seemed to not be affected by the chaotic times they were living in were like a breath of much needed fresh air for the warlord.

His disposition was like that of a king, he always had to be cold and calculating, looking at life through analytical lenses with little to any emotional attachment. When his lucky charm came around from out of the blue, saved his life, and even turned down his appealing proposal to rule the world by his side… how could he not love a feisty fireball like her, when most people were too afraid of him to turn him down, much less stand up to him as she often did, even at times where he could tell she was afraid of him.

He made his point clear ever since he met her… He wanted her to be his, but his fondness of her placed her needs above his own. Whatever she desired, she was granted. All he asks in return was for her to stay close enough to him, to be involved in his schemes to steal the sugar candies from the kitchen, to entertain him with fantastical stories he has never heard of, to allow him to put down his serious walls and allow himself to be the goofy tease that he loved to be around her…

The princess had his whole heart, whether she knew it or not, and if the Devil King of The Sixth Heaven had any weakness besides his ticklish neck, which was another secret, it was his princess.

a/n- now most people will assume when “magical girls” are mentioned, it’s mostly hmm sailor moon, card captor sakura or magica madoka types…ehhh these hcs are based more on the “pretty cure / precure” category of magical girls. I’m pretty sure some of you may have heard the name of this franchise before. thought i should make this clear before anyone gets confused with the weird hair colour references from early 2000-2010s precure xDD.

Nobunaga - the blue haired leader

He’d be the unnamed leader of the team 

You know, those blue haired ones ? They’re mostly doing the actual team leading of the magical girls group

His suggestions are always taken into consideration until… Well his teammates are face to face with the evil villains- 

He still tries though….in vain 

Oh and he is in fact the president of his school’s student council

Masamune - the red haired sporty one

The sportiest of ‘em all! 

You’d assume he’s the guy who just absolutely adores baseball or soccer (football)

Nope, very wrong!

This dude here takes his kendou seriously, is part of the club even and practices every afternoon

Extremely loyal to his friends and hates seeing his teammates being hurt 

Butts his heads with Nobunaga plenty times but they’re still amazing friends~

He is also childhood friends with our Mai and is her neighbour!

Hideyoshi - the mature and motherly purple haired  

Side leader of the team who…Well no one listens to xD RIP 

Give the poor guy a raise! He deserves it. And no, his teammates better not call him the paranoid overbearing mother or he will sulk in the corner :( (Mai will always make him feel better though)

It goes something like this: 

“Guys, I’m pretty sure the map says to go follow the straight road” 

“Oh please Hideyoshi, who actually follows instructions?” 

After some time you’ll see the whole bunch with their asses on fire and trying to get the human sized venus fly trap from feeding on them

Vice president of the council (come on, it was obvious)

Mistunari - green haired introverted smartie 

Soft spoken teammate, gets talked over at times by others 

Please don't do that, it hurts his feelings very much 

His friends are ready to beat up anyone who does that though (mostly Masamune and Hideyoshi) 

Spends majority of the time cooped up in the library studying for tests or reading random novels 

He drops fun facts throughout the day like how teachers break their chalk 

Will have the “right fun fact” that will be needed later in the day to defeat a cockroach shaped villain who’s destroying the city and save the day

Whoop whoop 

Mitsuhide - the pastel hair coloured villain turned into a magical girl 

Could also be the prince or soldier of his beloved fallen fantasy other dimensional world and working to save the the current world he’s staying at

People find him super shady…Which is understandable

Especially if he was an ex-villain

Hideyoshi was initially super wary of him until Mitsunari started hanging out with him

The perfect match with Mitsunari, they are somehow besties 

Don't ask why, I make the rules here 

Ieyasu - the other cranky blue haired teammate 

He’s salty all the time 

But is worried about his teammates’ health all the time, even more than Hideyoshi at times but will never tell

Will be arguing with the Mai most of the time, you know how that saying goes

“Those who fight a lot are close friends indeed”

It’s something like that between them 

Does his magical girl duties perfectly, and when he gets hurt? Will hide it until Mai comes over to do first aid…

He will accept begrudgingly

Mai - the pink haired main character and leader

The MVP and the TRUE leader of the team, never let go of her hand 

But also the darling of the team, dontchu dare hurt her AT ALL or else you’ll be seeing very angry magical bros after you with their sparkly outfits and weapons

Angry Mai is...scarier than an angry Hideyoshi

Everyone knows her, adores her and looks up to her 

Is kinda that person who’s super famous but they don’t even realise it xD 

Also a sweetheart, always feels like the villains must be given a second chance to follow the right path

Annnnd nobody can top her when it comes to emotional support and caring for her dear friends & teammates

Is too sweet and helpful so she sometimes unknowingly becomes a doormat ;-; to which her friends have to remind THAT NO GURL, remember your worth please

I'M BACK WITH IKEMEN SENGOKU HEADCANONS ABOUT STUFF WARLORDS LOVE (modern au):

Shingen, loves flirting with girls and playing with girls. He just hates getting kicked in the nuts right after. Shingen also has a secret obsession with taking girls to cat cafes.

Kenshin loves bunnies. It's basically the only reason to why he takes business class (he wants to open a bunny cafe in the future). Kenshin also loves swords and the thrill of fighting. 

Nobunaga loves power. He loves dominating people's feelings as well as toying with them.

Hideyoshi loves following orders and feels as his purpose of life is to serve people in order to gain more glory and respect from elders. That's mainly the reason to why he ran for Student Council and is student council. He also loves commitement and being committed to something

Yuki loves sports as much as he loves doinh sports with people. He loves anything with teamwork but hates admitting that he's weak (I'm assuming that's probably why he acts like such a tsundere sometimes lol)

Ieyasu loves a quite room with a good book to read, with a tea set tray, some chilli flakes and some freshly cut fruits. One thing that he cannot control himself over is his hatred for loud places. 

Mitsunari meanwhile, loves libraries, book stores and studying. His hair often gets messy a lot due to him falling asleep in the middle of a good book. The main reason to why he works part time at a book store is to be able to see customers smiling over a good book, and to be able to read a good book while taking a break.

Masamune loves cooking. He loves baking, cooking, you name it. He's the type to get emotional over cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares, Cake Boss and Masterchef. He watches them as if he and Gordon Ramsay have a love-hate relationship

Sasuke loves memes and vines. He loves science, anime, manga and memes. Especially historical manga such as (i'm sorry) Hetalia, Sengoku Basara, and etc (those are the only historical animes I can think of). Sasuke secretly watches shows such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon and Madoka Magica at night because, well, he loves the idea of magical girls. Also is a big fan of vocaloid and rhythm games

Motonari loves the thrill of stealing. He likes to steal things when people aren't looking and return it to them when they least expect it. He probably calls this 'borrowing' more than stealing as he usually returns them at the end. Motonari also likes being frugal for fun. He takes advantage of freebies at the supermarket, usually taking more than one as he gets the feeling of 'spending responsibly'.  Kennyo likes spiritual commitment. As in the game to how he's a devoted Buddhist monk, I'm pretty sure that he'll also bring his spiritualism towards the real world. Due to that, he enjoys anything like spiritual as he finds them, mystifying. Bring him to a cathedral, or a temple, or any place of worship, then he'll respect the place with all his might.

Mitsuhide, lastly loves teasing people. He loves seeing the reactions on people when he teases them, intimidating them on purpose or pretending to forget tests that doesn't exist just to see people's reactions. He's extremely cunning and is almost impossible to fool.

· They met on their early teens after Nobuhide,Oda's father,lost in battle to Dōsan Saitō,Kichō's father. Nobunaga was immediately charmed by the calm,soft spoken and collected prince of Minō province when they first met during the peace talks ;

· Kichō wasn't interested at first on the loud and obnoxious fool of Owari. Yet slowly they bonded over small things - such as their interest on warfare and soon enough,Kichō and Nobunaga were close ;

· Once Nobuhide was gone,things progressed quickly between the two of them. And soon enough,Kichō was Oda's right hand man and deeply trusted by him and soon,genuine love and affection blossomed between the two of them ;

· One quiet night,they left clear their feelings for each other and well,they became a couple. The following years were happy for the two of them ;

· However,tensions built up between Dōsan and Yoshitatsu,Kichō's older brother. And it ended with Yoshitatsu murdering his younger siblings and going to war against Dōsan for the control of Minō ;

· Kichō asked Nobunaga to support Dōsan and send help. He pleaded,he begged. But all of his pleas fell upon deaf ears. Oda was far too busy consolidating his position as the lord of Owari to help ;

· Kichō deserted the Oda after getting the news of his father's death. And ever since then,his only goal has only been one: make the Oda clan pay and show Nobunaga and his forces that he is as much of a viper as his father was .

Always responds to a sabotage when he's a crewmate; tends to stay away from the area of the sabotage when he's an impostor

Hideyoshi

Plays as green

Will tag along with either Nobunaga or Mitsuhide. Has told everyone before the start of the game that if he dies while following Mitsuhide, Mitsuhide is the impostor and they should vote him out

As an impostor, he will never kill Nobunaga and Mitsunari

As a ghost, he will follow Nobunaga around. Tries to tell everyone who the true impostor is in the chat despite the fact that only his fellow ghosts can see his messages

Tends to forget about the security cameras and usually gets caught killing or venting in front of them

Masamune

Plays as blue

c h a o t i c, most likely to accuse others without evidence just because he thinks they're suspicious

Likes to play detective and spends most of his time sneaking around players he thinks are suspicious

As an impostor, he doesn't like reactor and oxygen supply sabotages and even after he's died; he thinks it's too boring

He will try to lock people up in rooms though whenever he has the chance

Prefers to kill in the hallways where the body is most likely to be found immediately

Mitsuhide

Plays as white

As impostor, he refrains from killing Hideyoshi when he follows him, earning his trust and forming a strong alibi

Still manages to kill others even with Hideyoshi following him around. Usually accomplishes this by sabotaging communications or oxygen supply then killing when the crewmates are stacked on top of each other

His perceptiveness makes him a prime target for impostors when he's playing as a crewmate

Investigates by checking the doorlogs in the communications room

As a ghost, he will follow around anyone he thinks is an impostor until he can confirm his suspicions

Ieyasu

Plays as yellow

As the impostor, he will always kill Mitsunari first

Rage quits when he dies or is voted out

Prefers to kill in secluded areas where the body is least likely to get found immediately

As a crewmate, he will head straight into the security room after a light sabotage.

Mitsunari

Plays as violet

Most likely the first one to die when he's crewmate

"How do I enter the vent like yellow did?" // "Why is my name and yellow's name color red?" // "Why can't I do normal tasks?"

Accidentally self-reports all the time but nobody actually suspects that he's the impostor

Keeps on doing tasks even after he dies and will follow around his fellow ghosts

Usually the one who sits out of the game when they're playing with the Uesugi-Takeda since MC has to act as the mediator

Uesugi - Takeda Forces

Kenshin

Plays as cyan. Wants to be in charge of customizing the game settings.

Insta-quits half of the time when he's not the impostor

Gets really angry at Sasuke for putting a long cooldown in between kills

His play style as an impostor is very aggressive and he can kill half of the crewmates within the first few minutes of the game when left unchecked

Will never use any form of sabotage before getting voted out, but will sabotage out of vengeance all the time after he dies

As crewmate he tends to tag along with Sasuke

As a ghost, he will follow around whoever has killed him or accused him first that lead to him getting voted out

Yukimura

Plays as red

Calls for emergency meeting 10 seconds into the game

"LORD KENSHIN IS FOLLOWING ME I THINK HE'S THE IMPOSTOR"

As a crewmate, he doesn't like it and freaks out when others follow him. The other warlords think it's funny

Always gets caught in the act after killing or venting

Panics when the light goes out. Most likely to get ambushed by the impostor as he tries to fix the lights.

Sasuke

Plays as lime green. He's in charge of customizing the game settings for the Uesugi-Takeda forces.

Vents all the time. Unbeatable as an impostor because he always has an alibi

Usually one of the first people to respond to a sabotage regardless if he's a crewmate or just pretending to be

Hangs out near the oxygen supplies or reactors as a crewmate so he can immediately respond to a sabotage

Refrains from killing Kenshin as much as possible because the bunny lord really hates losing and Sasuke knows that he will come for him after the game

Shingen

Plays as brown

Always sabotages the lights and comms when he's the impostor

Will randomly stalk Yukimura after he's used his emergency meeting chance just to freak him out even when he's not the impostor

Ignores all sorts of sabotages as a crewmate and concentrates on accomplishing the tasks

Usually hangs out at the MedBay. Yuki doesn't think it's funny

Bonus: MC

Plays as pink. She's in charge of customizing the game settings when the Oda forces and Uesugi-Takeda forces play together

Least likely to get killed, but most likely to get falsely accused

Hangs out wherever the emergency button is located most of the time after she's done with her tasks. Sticks with larger groups of players when still doing tasks

As an impostor, she refrains from killing other players, prefers sabotages in general and assisting fellow impostors in whatever way she can

the first encounter you had, he didn’t really notice it. he had a lot of things on his plate, mostly about his assassination attempt, you know, the usual. 

it’s only when he invites you to his tenshu to know more about his most interesting chatelaine. after all, the moment his life was out of danger, the immediate groan out of you raised a brow.

in your defense, going back from a protest then just sent back 500 years in the past did put you in a pissy mood. the injustice was enough bullshit, you didn’t want to deal with this right after.

and,,, your response was probably too snarky for a man in power like him. but that’s what compelled him to bring you to the castle. maybe it was spite, or just dangerous curiosity. no one’s spoken to him in such,,, rude manners before.

being all past the whole, chasing-you-down-just-for-you-to-come-to-my-sickass-castle, the dragged-500-years-into-the-warring-states-period, constant-wars-everywhere, and everything in between, you’ve managed to,, calm down decently, at least. you’re just really confused as to why he called you in. 

through your slippery tounge, you accidentally let it slip that you’re from the future; great job! mission one from sasuke already failed. but—you’ve dug your grave, now you have to lie in it.

upon listening to the rest of your explanation, naturally, nobunaga starts asking questions.

after a series of them, mostly about general stuff like technology, etc., he hits you with a curveball. “what is that?” he asks, observing the small patch of reddened skin.

you’ve been shot by a rubber bullet prior to the time traveling. you wager that they were aiming for the neck—a highly fatal area to hit, even with a rubber bullet, mind you—but you were lucky enough to only be hit near the collar bone. still—to say it’s inexcusable is an understatement.

“huh—?” you follow his eyes, then trail your fingers on the edge as you show more of your injury, “. . .got injured a while back. asshole cops think they can just. . .fuckin’. . .”

your sentence turns too faint for him to hear clearly, he only knows that you feel anger from your tone. all he does is gaze passively as the steam comes out of your, slowly.

“what happened exactly?”

and with that one question, he’s in for quite the story. you start off in the beginning; what triggered it all. the injustice brought by those who are said to protect the people, the same ones that shed blood because they knew they could get away with it. then, the protests done by the ones who wanted justice, equality, something that should just be the norm at this point.

and then, the horrible attacks the cops’ve done to hose who protested,,, the mere thought gets your blood boiling, really. no one poised any kind of harm, it was a peaceful protest—and yet they still hurted, perhaps even killed. and they get away with it.

“. . .and i sure as hell ain’t gonna die to some bullshit system. i’ll keep on going at it until people can stop dying so. . .needlessly like that.”

he pauses after hearing you. his eyes have a vague sense of scrutinize, but certainly not at you. "and you still continue to go, even if it results in injuries for you?”

you look back at him, determination burning like a passion, “as long as less people will die of discrimination; as long as our cause is heard in the end—i’ll sacrifice anything for it. for equality.”

the silence rings for minutes.

but the hand on your shoulder quickly strays your mind back to him. to your surprise, a daring smile, almost a smirk, pulled his lips, “you are braver than many men that i’ve met. fiery and passionate also. i do believe you’ll be quite the addition here.”

and while you raise an eyebrow to that, your heart settles as he ends it with one final thing, “you’ve earned my utmost respect.”

—hideyoshi:

he would have been highly alerted in your presence—had it not been the fact that your eye was bruised and injured. it was fresh, the patch of skin having not turn purple or black yet, but it was enough to signal that it could be a fatal wound.

medics were sent your way by his command, and given the opportunity, he checked in on you frequently. the culprit of the attempted assassination was yet to be found—so he just assumed that you were a poor civilian caught in the crossfire.

you were rather crude to him, but he brushed it all off. you must’ve been some sort of stressed out after just saving his lord, so he gave you space and went to do other things.

it’s when they reconvene under nobunaga’s order did he find out about the decision for your fate.

“my lord, are you sure we should bring them back to azuchi? perhaps they have a place in a town around here.”

“—not really.” hideyoshi’s eyes filled with surprise and concern as a small response came out of you, with eyes looking away from everyone in the tent with lips bitten anxiously and brows stitched together.

so it ended on you going to azuchi along with them. because really, even if you didn’t want to, what were you to do? you had no place in the sengoku, and you’ve forgotten all about your scouts lessons back in middle school to survive in the forest.

and while you insist on working rather than just be royalty basically, hideyoshi is the one who persuades you to at least rest first. with a sigh, you agree.

from then on, you find him visiting you quite often between his breaks. most of the time, asking how you’ve been, making light conversations over tea, and sometimes fussing over the smallest things. it’s a gradual change you’ll get used to—from the failed assassination to the weird, home-y feeling he brings.

it didn’t take long for his curiosity to push him. one day, with the usual cup of tea, the silence passes for quite the moment until he spoke up, “if i may ask, where exactly,,, did you get that?”

he doesn’t quite point to it, but you know what he’s talking about. half your vision is covered now, from ieyasu’s work on trying to make it better. you stare in the cup, swishing the tea around, “. . .my town had, uhhh, ‘problems’.”

he listened intently as you reworded the current real life events. just change the cops to guard, the bullets to blunt sticks(?), etc. the core of it you kept the same, the discrimination, the unruly deaths and wounds of the innocent.

all the while, hideyoshi looks at you with slightly parted lips and eyes that spell a bit of disbelief. such compassion don’t exist in a lot of people—much less a majority of civillians from a town. he thought he’d’ve heard about it, but you did say it was quite the small one, far away.

as you finish your long explanation, your face was scrunched up in a scowl, remembering the scene at the time. the cops came, a highly dangerous situation; but you weren’t leaving just like that. not until you got hit by a bullet did you go back home—and look where you are now.

“—.” hideyoshi calls out your name, snapping you to reality. you dart your attention to him, his face filled with concern, worry—but also slight anger and a distant sense of fondness.

“. . .when nobunaga unites the country, we’ll be sure to aid you. we’ll stop them from hurting anyone else. so until then, please stay with us.”

the sentiment brought warmth to your heart, but you knew the truth. he wouldn’t be able to, the wormhole was a big separation in that. even so, you shook your head, “i don’t,,, uhh, think i can stay for that long.”

his brows stitch together in confusion, “and why is that?”

“. . .i want to go back as soon as i can. and—i only have one chance to do such a thing, and never again.” upon your answer, his eyes widened a bit. no further questions were asked about that, as your own expression said you didn’t want to talk about it.

“but—you could be in danger if you go back.”

“i don’t care.” the tea is cold as you set it down, “. . .i don’t wanna,,, just escape and turn a blind eye to it, i think. it may be safer for me here, but—i still want to help back there. whether or not i’m injured is,,, a means to an end, for me.”

that’s when every suspicion he could’ve had about you dissolved. the determination and righteousness that burned so brightly in your voice was irreplaceable. along with that, was a very deep respect for you. he serves nobunaga because he believed in equality among everyone, and it seems so do you. even if you’re willing to sacrifice yourself—to see a better world where everyone is happy.

a beat passes. two. with a sigh, hideyoshi’s hardened gaze relents back into the strange warmness, hid hand reaching out to ruffle your hair. “well, i don’t think i agree with you diving into potential danger, but just so you know. if you ever need help, you can always reach to us, alright?”

you breath out a chuckle, “. . .of course.”

—mitsuhide:

your whole entire body was sore even before the wormhole sent you back. not to mention, just after that, you had to carry a full-armored man out of a burning building with someone trying to kill said man.

so to say you were disoriented was quite an understatement.

you didn’t even feel it until days have passed. and at this point, you’ve gone under mitsuhide’s tutoring. being sat down for a long time made it painfully obvious that your body was still healing—but you’ve sang this song a million times before. in which the soreness lingered for a while, and then it’d disappear. you can bear with it.

that is, until he started training you in battle.

the tanegashima practice was fine, if a bit triggering by the gunshots. but you saw it the same as archery. however, sparring on the other hand,,,

yeah. the first break you took, you already felt every single part of you reeling. mitsuhide wasn’t ruthless with you, but you figure he wasn’t being soft either.

in truth, prior to arriving in the sengoku period, your body had taken a hit in a protest. you didn’t get caught in the tear-gassing crossfire, or got shot by a rubber bullet. rather, a police car had arrived at the scene and begun to drive forward into the crowd. it didn’t become a car crash site, no deaths occurred to your knowledge (thankfully).

but you were one of the ones in the front row seats, you fell to the ground and took some damage in a number of places. they were more of inconveniences than anything.

still—forcing your body to fight a trained swordsman was not a good idea.

and the fox has an eye for these things, sensing when his enemies are weak. at least it proves to be a disadvantage if you really are dangerous. his eyes linger on you as you rub your sore spots with the occasional groan. 

“the little mouse seems to be wounded.” he says. it’s clear he’s trying to extract some kind of information about the person who just popped out one day, “pray tell, what might be the cause of such?”

“i got, uhhh,” you can’t say car, those don’t exist yet— “knocked down by a horse.” admittedly, a horse is probably more dangerous than a car—but you deal with what you have.

“is that so.” with the smile and narrowed eyes of his, you knew that he didn’t buy it. but to your defense, your state clearly proves it in some way—so he deduced that you weren’t telling the complete truth.

and he welcomes it. it’d be his absolute pleasure to unravel the mystery.

eventually, he does. in promise to keep your secret away from others, you keep his. 

“so, little mouse,” the night has yet to pass, but you wish it did. your stuff was spilled in front of you, all evidence of you coming from the future, “was that cover-up story about the horse a lie?”

it’s a rhetorical question; he knew the answer already. still, you roll your eyes, “of course, we rarely use those in the future. a police car hit a crowd, and i was caught in it.”

promptly realizing he doesn’t know anything, a lengthy explanation ensued.

“oh my. and you said this, ‘car’ drove into a crowd? that’s highly dangerous, is it not?”

“it is!” your calm words slowly dissolve, your hands now waving in gestures, “and guess what, it’s the cops that do it! uhh—guards in old terms, i guess. y’know the people who’re said to supposedly protect us? yeah, hit us with a car.”

mitsuhide isn’t the most curious about the future. but he is a bit confused about the context.

and so you continue, explaining everything. from the start, to where you were, along with what your thoughts are on the whole situation

through all that, he stays silent, not commenting until you were thoroughly finished. you can’t read his expression—so you stare at him, waiting for even a word.

suddenly, he smiles, “well, looks like our little mouse is quite the something, aren’t you?” before you could respond with anything, he pats you on the head with a strange sense of softness, “pureness and ideals like you are rare in this world.”

in truth, he agrees. he’s someone who’s faced discrimination head on from being in the lower class—and he fights for a world that his lord would like to see. even if he’ll remain in the dark, for his stained, dark hands would only corrupt the purity. at least, so he thinks.

you look back with pursed lips and a slight frown, “then i’ll help make it more common. if it results in people being treated as people, i’ll do it.”

you don’t hear it, but he draws in a sharp breath. his eyes are muddled—with what, you don’t know—but you drop the thought as he lifts the hand off of your head with a chuckle, “i will say, i didn’t quite expect this.” 

they say eyes are the window of the soul. while he had his closed most of the time—you managed to peek in a small bit of warmth and fondness in them.

—masamune:

you came to the sengoku period with a sprained ankle. which, in a time where war was rampant, probably wasn’t a good thing to have. especially when you’re being dragged into battle just for the fun of it.

although you admit you made yourself seem tougher than you were (with you being used to injuries like this before, so you’ve grown used to gritting your teeth), you still curse masamune to hell and back. no, you do not care if you’re on a horse or just in camp, your foot hurt like shit either way.

naturally, you wouldn’t take that for long.

thus the next time he planned to take you along (you could already see the glint in his eye), you snapped at him. well—much less ‘snap’ and more of ‘telling him off rather harshly ft. a sprinkle of swearing’.

“listen, assfart, my ankle’s been killing me, and if i’m going by that analogy, you’re practically desecrating it’s corpse and grave. so for the love of god, stop dragging me into battles!”

an expression of surprise went on his face for a moment, before it morphed to his usual grin, “is that so? seems like out kitten likes to run around and ended up hurting themselves.”

“not my fault they shot me in the fuckin’ ankle. . .” you mutter without a second thought under your breath, which he, unfortunately, heard.

“they shot you, lass?”

seeing his ever so slightly widened eye, you pursed your lips, “yeah. nothing too serious.”

even so, you see the way his eyes narrow with a glint—more so of excitement than anything else, “still though lassie, with you being under nobunaga, i doubt they’ll get away with hurtin’ ya.”

“what does that mean?”

fingers comb through your hair in a wild pat, accompanied with a fanged grin, “they won’t be alive for hurtin’ the lord’s precious lucky charm.”

your lips pursed as a frown pulls upon your brows, “i don’t want them to get away solely for me being nobunaga’s ‘lucky charm’.”

“and why is that, kitten?”

his eyes slightly lit up at your hardened and serious aura as you closed your eyes with a sigh. “the same people who hurt me are the same ones who’ve hurt many others, on the basis that they believe they’re above them; over a stupid thing like race. and i won’t be just letting it slide, even if i can’t fight or anything.”

the flame in your eyes are ones that masamune has grown to recognize; the anger and bitterness as you look back on a memory, only to fill up your heart with passion.

“i’ll die if it means that they’ll be punished and everyone is treated the same.”

silence rings past, the wind slowly becomes a solid aura in the air. stunned, he leaves a small chuckle and pats your head,

“the lord made a wonderful decision to bring ya here, lass.”

—ieyasu:

going by his usual self, he didn’t care much when you arrived, other than you were someone nobunaga picked up from his failed assassination. however, him being an expert in things health related, some things didn’t go by with him.

first of all, your eyes were a slight fade of red. at first he figured it was a leftover from honno-ji’s smokes, but as the days tick by, its persistence is now rather worrying. they should’ve faded away by now, so he thought.

and it became more and more painfully obvious, at least to him. the way you rubbed your eyes sometimes, them tearing up at random intervals—and even you squinting at rare occasions that, unless you had an eye problem like mitsunari, shouldn’t be there.

a seed of worry was planted, although he never expressed it. after all, you were being dragged into battle, where dust and more smoke can easily go into your already bugged eyes.

therefore one day, wordlessly, he took you to his workplace. at first, you were confused; ieyasu hasn’t exactly talked to you a lot.

he picks up a small bottle, along with a cup-like lid, “use this, and wash your eyes with it. and by that i mean just tilt it up and blink when it goes into your eyes.”

you just blinked a few times, stunned more than anything. “,,,, why?”

“you think i don’t notice?” he scoffs, “you’ve been rubbing your eyes like crazy, and it’s past the point where your eyes should even be red since the honno-ji incident. either your eyes have been having problems way before, or you’re just dumber and clumsier than i thought.”

“hey! it’s not my fault, for any of the incidents!”

“so there are multiple instances?”

the judgemental look sent your way was something that your stubborn mind won’t back out from, even if it mean having to somewhat explain your situation.

“w, well, there have been several uhm.... arson crimes in my town, i can’t help but be in the vicinity.”

if arson crimes translated to tear gassings, yes, there were many.

“arson crimes? your town is,,, jeez.”

“it’s not the citizens’ fault, look to the fuckin’ guards of our village for that.” the tone had immediately shifted from a kind of flustered banter, to immediate bitter undertones.

immediately, the silence rang on. ieyasu sat there, looking into you as much as he could, with his bare bones knowledge of you. the pieces were there, and it wasn’t hard to put them together. for a moment, he wondered if you were more than the unfortunate one to be pulled into this mess. but if your town was as much a mess as that. . . perhaps it was for the better.

“. . .then you’re planning to stay here, right?” he had his own opinions and thoughts of someone taking advantage of a high-powered lord taking them in, but eh, he thinks, people will do what they have to do to survive—

“not really. assuming nobunaga would even let me go in the first place.”

ieyasu stood there, stunned, “. . .you’re planning to go back to your own town? even from all the danger there?”

“yeah.” you look at him with a slight imbalanced expression, “i don’t have anywhere else to go, other than there, so. . .”

“but why not stay here? it’s safer, you do know that right?”

“of course,” you sigh, “but it’s still my home, all things considered. yeah, there’s a whole lot of corrupt things going on but, they’re still humans, the people i live with. i don’t wanna run away from it, i’d just. . .i’d like to try and help them also.:

ieyasu stays silent as you lean back to the wall, looking out the door with a fond and melancholic gaze, “the,,, guards in my town are doing this just cause of their stupid beliefs and whatever. superiority complex and whatnot. and people are dying because of it, only for things that they can’t control and. . . it’s just so bullshit.”

you turn back to him, with a strong light blaring in your eyes; filled with hope and determination, “wouldn’t you want to go back and help them? even if i get injured, as long as people will be treated the same and won’t face death for something miniscule, i consider it worth it.”

you’ve never seen him surprised at you; at least not in this sense. usually it’d be surprise at some mistake you did, making an offhand crude comment to it but here. . .here it’s partnered with the smallest bit of sparkle. like a hidden respect for you behind his uncaring persona.

you only look as he slowly stands up, his shadow befalling on you. with the same, yet subtle, amount of shine in his eyes as in yours, he sighs softly and takes your hand,

“at least if you’re gonna go into that kind of battlefield, let me teach your ditzy self how to take care of injuries first.”

—mitsunari:

your sudden arrival already aroused questions, as you’d appeared before nobunaga sporting a bloodied cut on your cheek. at the time, they took the assumption that the assassin did it to you.

and although it was fussed for a bit, it was quickly covered up with some cloth fitting for the period. and then, everything went as normal.

taking up job as mitsunari’s personal caretaker wasn’t one you’d reject, because really, how bad could it be? but the man himself kept insisting that you don’t, added that not only were you a special charm of nobunaga’s, you were also injured from the night of honno-ji. he couldn’t do that to you; not after such a stressful night.

and yet you were stubborn as well. with the final decision being up to nobunaga, which you accepted wholeheartedly, of course, you now had the role to take care of mitsunari.

although his. . .clumsy nature was one that you should be worried for, you find it that he often checks up on you, apologizing each time he could’ve potentially hurt you. and each time, you waved it off and assured him that yes, you were fine.

but you can see it in his eyes, the tint of guilt and worry that lingers on before he succumbs to his reading trance. truth is, the injury is just a mild inconvinience of pain, so there really wasn’t much to fuss over.

in his eyes, your degree has gotten much higher than before. whether your wound would’ve affected your job didn’t matter to him; it was the fact that you were hurt in the first place. you shouldn’t have to take care of him when you needed to take care of yourself! or so is what he thinks to himself.

and so he tries to make it up to you. you need reading lessons? he’ll try to squeeze it in his schedule! or maybe it’s time for a break, he’ll tour you around in the bustling city of azuchi. it feels like whenever you need something, he’s always there next to you, and you can’t help but feel charmed by it.

mitsunari isn’t one to notice details about a person if it isn’t in a situation like in battle. but he’s gotten very sharp at seeing the slight reactions and how you’re doing; and here’s what he’s picked up on:

other than the wound on your cheek, your stomach area seems to be bruised or something close to that. you might’ve not told anyone about it, cause he hasn’t heard a peep of that anywhere, not even when he kept asking politely (or bugging, in the man’s eyes) for ieyasu’s information.

so fuck it, he just decides to ask you one day.

“why do you have an injury on your stomach area?”

it was a lesson hour, you didn’t expect him to throw,,,that curveball. maybe more of, what does this character mean? or how do you write this word? but. . .

“uhm—an incident that happened before the whole honno-ji thing.”

“and you never told anyone, even lord ieyasu?”

“n, no, kinda.”

he’s serious than before, and yet there’s something in his eyes that’s very inviting, inviting you to tell your feelings and story, inviting you to a hug of warmth and safety.

and you succumb.

“. . . things have been happening in my town before i came here.” then what was once a lesson sessioin, turned into you explaining what you and the world was going through before coming to the sengoku, with many phrasings replaced of course.

“is that so. . .” he mutters, “i haven’t heard a case like this, although i don’t doubt there aren’t any. . .i should do some reasearches.. .”

“i-it’s fine, really. . .!”

you managed to convince him that it’s fiiine, he shouldn’t read up on it and just focus on his works (since it would render your story false pretty quickly,,).

“but you still haven’t explained how you got the injury.”

“oh yeah. i got kicked down by one of the guards and then i got this as a result.” you pointed at the covered up wound, now probably just a scar, on your cheek. mitsunari goes silent, then a slow and silent hum resonates in him.

you’ve never quite seen the look in his eyes as you did. they were sharper, even if you weren’t situated in a battlefield, and you could see the gears turn in his brain. for what, you’re not quite sure.

“mitsu,,,?”

and with just your voice, his clouded eyes clear up, and he sends his angelic smile your way, “it’s fine now, lady—” his voice rings gently like bells, “you’re now safer. .even if you want to go back there. but i’ll be here by your side to protect you always, so please remember.”

“. . .heh, alright. of course i will.”

ODA FORCES + *modern* HIKING

Uesugi-Takeda Forces’ version

~uhm, so this is my first-ever headcanon (one close to heart, if not for the quarantine...) and if you think some characters aren’t who they are in canon, I’m sorry! Anyhow, here it is!~

Terms to keep in mind just in case:

*LNT - Leave No Trace, simply no leaving of any human traces (writing ‘we were here!’ on trees or trash) on the trail and everywhere else. This is a good practice that can be done even outside hiking/mountaineering!

**evening socials - basically the free time after the setting up in campsite and before bedtime; anything is possible!

Nobunaga

- Has a hidden stash of candy, stating he needs it as an ‘energy source’ for the ascend

- Needs to pose majestically in every scenic spots

- Carries none of the bags. NONE OF IT, just the hidden stash

- Will take over the entire campsite if he can

- Initiates drinking during the evening socials**

- Puts up their flag at the summit because he can; “Everything seen from here is mine now”

- Did help in finding the best mountain to hike and some details in the itinerary (reaching the campsite at earliest time possible so no competitions)

Hideyoshi

- Had the itinerary planned even in the smallest detail (they all have to be at the jump-off at 14:30 to reach the sunset at the campsite around 17:30-18:00)

- Will carry Nobunaga’s bag (if there are no hired guides)

- Is also Nobunaga’s photographer (no one else can capture his elegance except him)

- “Everyone, remember the LNT* – MITSUHIDE PUT IT BACK WHERE YOU PICKED IT UP”

- Hold all the stash of sweets

- In his signature mother hen fashion, he’ll make sure everyone’s supplies are adequate for the whole hike, and scolds anyone who’s off the path

- Best dressed for the occasion (prepped from head to toe)

Masamune

- The cook, who else? (He might trying foraging to add it to the already plenty supply of food)

- Tries other routes aside from where the guide walks (he’d love walking on the ridges and rappelling!)

- Will pose with Nobunaga on those scenic spots

- “What if I jump from here and rollover for a faster descend?” Looking from the summit PLEASE NO

- Jokingly attempts to hunt wild animals for dinner another PLEASE NO it’s illegal in some places

- Stays up all night to appreciate the undisturbed, pristine view of the night sky; “This is a billion star hotel!”

- Got the shoes right, but prefers cotton shirts and board shorts; anything comfortable, really

Ieyasu

- Of course he’s the medic! (First Aid Kit? Medicine? Disinfectant? Lotion for mosquito bites? He’s got all of that!)

- Grumbling every time Mitsunari stumbles after marvelling at the sights during the hike & paying little attention to the rough path

- Doesn’t want any part of the entire hike initially; had no choice but to join since he’s the best ‘party healer’ out there

- Other hikers feel uneasy with him (that Tsun look)

- Checks natural water source, might be infested with bacteria or something

- *sigh* “Let the others sleep, will you?” when complaining about the others drunk and loud at late night

Mitsunari

- Is surprisingly good at setting up the tents (has read the manual at heart before hiking proper)

- Probably read information about the mountain too, spouting random facts during the whole hike

- Will stumble while taking the view in (Yatsun help this cinnamon roll please)

- Handler of finances

- Possibly gets along with every other hiker that they come across (the sunny smile will ALWAYS draw people in

- BRING THIS MAN ALONG AND THE WEATHER DEITIES WILL FAVOR HIM (rewarding you with a beautiful sunrise view)

Mitsuhide

- As always, will try to switch Masa’s cup to an alcoholic one during the evening socials

- Will pick a bug or two and throw it at others (Mamayoshi’s lengthy scolding shall follow)

- Is asked by Nobunaga to get the rest of the sweets stash; will oblige

- Disappears every once in a while on the trail and where he goes is a mystery

- Draws on the faces of ones who slept early, sneaking in their tents (where’s he get the pen?); maybe he’ll even thrown in fake snakes inside for fun *foxy smile appears* OR If no one’s looking, he’ll switch contents of the warlords’ bags to see who reacts first

- Just be prepared to be teased punk’d by this man

Ranmaru

- Will stay away from Kitsuhide as much as possible

- Goes around the fastest *living his ninja ways*

- Said he learned it from his master (we all know who he is)

- An all-around helper, helping with the campsite set-up and everything

- Has befriended the store owner near the site and started treating him like a son, getting free snacks or two (shares with MC)

BONUS: MC

- “This isn’t a leisurely walk to the park—THIS ISN’T THE NATURE PARK THAT I EXPECTED”

- Is otherwise well-prepared (wow, even her emergency sewing kit is there)

- Repairs clothing ripped by sharp rocks

- Will probably sing in front of the bonfire when requested

- Another photographer for the men!

- Actually had fun at the end of the trip and wants another one

@nad-zeta @masamune-archive / @mllorei for being my inspirations and pushed me to write not so long ago. I know I promised an entirely different HC (it’s still a W.I.P. but is lacking inspiration lately) but I manage to post one, yay!

There was a thunderstorm outside, and you had nightmares

The perfect combination to send you running to the nearest room to seek human comfort: the tenshu, where Nobunaga slept 

In the moment, it did not occur to you that, maybe, he would not be the best person to turn ask for help, but against your better judgement, you dragged your blanket up the stairs to his room

Nobunaga was burning the midnight oil, responding to letters from his generals quelling rebellions in the north

He blinks at you for a second, thinking that you are some kind of ghost for a moment

“Have you come for a game of Go? It’s a bit late for that–”

“Please let me sleep here, I had a nightmare and the sky is falling outside.”

Nobunaga can detect the pure fear in your voice and it brings him back to a time when he was also terrified of nature’s power

He finishes a letter before leaving the brush in the ink (something Hideyoshi has screamed at him repeatedly to stop doing) before padding over to pull back the blanket of his own futon

Without saying anything to tease you, Nobuanga lets you curl up against his bed

It’s awkward, sitting in his bed, but you hold your tongue

Nobunaga lights another lantern and sets it down next to you, giving you something to look at while he returns to his desk

“Are you not going to sleep?” 

He looks up at you for a moment

“I have things to finish.”

“What are you working on?” 

“Papers.”

“What type of papers?”

“Important ones.” 

It’s childish, but it makes you forget about the awful dream you had until a lightning bolt strikes a nearby tree and shakes the entire tower

The thunder rolls forward, making you scream and bury underneath the covers

Nobunaga unravels you from the cocoon of blankets and he offers you a hand 

“There is nothing to be afraid of–” 

“Says you! You’re the next scariest thing in Japan next to earthquakes and thunderstorms!” 

He laughs at this, and the sound coaxes you from the blankets to catch a glimpse of his smiling face 

“Would you believe that I used to be scared of thunder as well?” 

“No.” 

“Well, I was. But one of my creative brother told me something that I will never forget: the thunders are simply the Buddha stomping around”

Not the inspirational speech you were expecting, but okay 

Nobunaga goes on to explain how the Buddha loves all creatures, but has a special place for spiders and always dances around them to avoid them at all costs

Hence, the booms are his steps as he goes around them

“Alright, but the lightning?” 

“I said he was creative, not well versed in weather.” 

Nobunaga pulls his desk closer to the futon so that he is closer to you while he works

A silence falls upon the both of you once more, and you blink a few times, feeling the urge to sleep slowly dawning over you

“Nobunaga?”

“Hm?”

“Why haven’t you teased me?” 

He pauses at this question and thinks for a moment, trying to find the right words 

“Why should I? I have no reason to exploit you, for you have done nothing to me. In fact, you saved my life, so I believe that it is only right that I help you when I can. This is the first time that you have sought me out with the intention of asking for my aid. You could have gone to anyone else, but you came here.” 

It would be unfitting to admit that his room is actually the closest to yours, but you realize that indeed, you could have gone to Mitsunari or Masamune, but you immediately thought of Nobunaga as your protector

“That I did…” 

“So I turn the question back to you, why did you come here?” 

Your voice catches in your throat

Of course you know the answer, but it would be too easy to just tell him

“I don’t know.” 

“Hm. When you do, will you tell me?” 

��Of course, my lord.” 

You turn over and pull the blanket over your neck, leaving Nobunaga to his important papers 

However, you look away too quickly and don’t have a chance to see the soft smile across his lips

Ikesen Warlords in Court : Random Scenario I had at 3 A.M.

Idk why I thought of this it randomly popped in my head. I know diddily squat about court but decided to do this for fun with the power of Ace Attorney by my side

Nobunaga: Judge. Sits above everybody. When Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi start arguing, sits there eating konpeito. Uses the gavel randomly for fun. “ORDER *smacks gavel*  huh, this is fun.I like being judge.”

Mitsuhide: Prosecutor. You think the best interrogator in Japan wouldn’t be the one dragging confessions out of defendants? Likes to make the lawyers and defendants cry in aggravation.

Hideyoshi: Lawyer. If he uses even 1% of his determination that he uses to defend Nobunaga to defend a client, you’d have the best lawyer in the world. Has gotten super close to decking Mitsuhide in the face during trial.

       Nobunaga:”How do you plead?”

       Hideyoshi:*mouths ‘not guilty’ to client*

       Client: “HOT MILKY”

       Hideyoshi: *Facepalms*

Masamune: Bailiff. He may seem brash and reckless, but he is a keen observer and can smell when any funny business is going on in the court room. Will spring into action if any fights break out and intimidate people from trying anything. If you had a tall battle-scarred man with an eyepatch and uniform glaring you down, you’d want to simmer down too. Will laugh when Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi look like they’re about to brawl. Eventually Nobunaga has to remind him of his job and Masamune has to reluctantly break up the fight, no matter how bad he wants to watch for fun.

Mitsunari: Court Reporter/documentor/clerk. Records and reviews everything. He spends hours looking at books and documents anyway, might as well put some use into it. Spends hours putting details into documenting cases and reads them again...and again...and again...oh dear it’s been 4 hours.

Ieyasu: Coroner. Investigates cause of death. He knows the human body from his medical practices and can tell looking at the victim how they died and find a jurisdiction for the judge. Just as long as he doesn’t have to turn in his reports to Mitsunari *glares*

All other warlords as jury:

Shingen: flirting with the woman sitting next to him. Not paying attention to the case at all.

Yukimura: Slapping Shingen upside the head to get him to pay attention.

Sasuke: Observing, staring at Ieyasu creepily, secretly making memes of the trial.

Kenshin: Gets impatient. “WHY DON’T WE JUST EXECUTE THEM ON THE SPOT AND GET IT OVER WITH. I’LL BE THE EXECUTIONER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD” *cue Sasuke pulling Kenshin’s katana out of his hands*

Kennyo: “We the jury find NOBUNAGA ODA GUILTY! Execute him!”

           Shingen, finally paying attention: “That’You know he’s the judge,      not the suspect?”

           Kennyo: *Grumpily sinks down in seat after the 45th time of failing    to accuse Nobunaga for every court case*

modern hairstyles i can imagine on the warlords

picture this: it’s 2018. the warlords are with you in the modern day (country doesn’t rlly matter tbh). they learn about the new fashion trends and sO:

i can 100% imagine shingen and/or masamune growing their hair longer to achieve a manbun and so you have more hair to pull on if u know what i mean

mistunari would just keep his cute lil haircut. our precious, precious boyo :’)

ieyasu and yukimura getting their hair cut so that it’s shorter on the sides and the back and longer on top, so you still get strands going onto their face but it’s just neater on the sides

tbh kenshin wouldn’t really care about his hair that much, but you seemed to like nobunaga styling his hair so that it would be almost slicked back, but in that looser, more casual fashion with a few strands sneaking out, making him look sharp but “bad boy” at the same time. kenshin tried it and your reaction to it was enough for him to keep it going

sasuke works in a lab, so most of the time it’s combed over and slicked so it’s not in his way at work, but when hes at home he’ll let it loosen and just brush it back with his hands

hideyoshi would have a bit of shaggy hair. like not enough for it to look bad and just plain messy, but enough so that it falls in his eyes a bit (plus: he’d wear a lot of beanies and have lots of hair poking out of them)

kennyo would have it short and business-like. maybe a little long on the top? defs a similar haircut to ieyasu and yukimura, but less boyish and has a bit of edge to it

mitsuhide would be really edgy, i reckon. shaved underneath but keep the long strands on top like he does in the game. occasionally would swoop his hair to one side or the other, sometimes it’s slicked back so both shaved sides are exposed, sometimes the top hair is loose and covers it. he likes the flexibility, the edge of it and how you can pull on it still

Teen! MC request: MC gets ready to go on a date with a neighboring daimyo's son, only having to learn that he stood her up. To make things worse, the whole "date" was just a dare made by his friends.

Teen!MC is stood up, warlords get revenge.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

At first he was already suspicious of this sudden invitation for a date, but you seemed so excited that Nobunaga didn’t want to spoil your mood. However, he was very direct about telling you to be careful. If this boy made you uncomfortable or suffer in any possible way, he would pay for it. Still, he provided the best kimono for you to go on this date.

However, when you returned from your date earlier than expected, crying… all hell broke loose, he was ready to make this pest pay for making you cry. You will find the boy and his friends kneeling before you the next day. To comfort you, Nobunaga will give you his sweets jar.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Oh, mamayoshi was worried, you are too young to date! What if this boy tries something with you? Hideyoshi will offer to go with you to protect you! Of course, you will immediately refuse this offer, you want to go to this date freely. After a lot of convincing, he will let you go. All dressed up like the beautiful princess you are.

His heart will break when he sees you crying because you were stood up, he will be filled with rage. “I knew that boy was bad news!” Will be his words as he readied himself to go and confront this boy (will drag his parents into this). Hideyoshi will spoil you rotten to comfort you.

Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Ieyasu isn’t sure about this particular date, he was frowning the whole time when you said this boy asked you out. He just couldn’t allow it, you are too innocent and young for these things. However, you eventually went to this date, Ieyasu would have warned you heavily that you should be careful.

Will be the annoying older brother who says “I told you so.” When you returned home disappointed, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make the boy suffer. He will be apologizing to you immediately after Ieyasu visited him. Ieyasu may not be that affectionate, but he will offer you many hugs. It’s just you who can have them, though.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

He will investigate this boy first, he will know everything he needs to know, just to make sure he is worth being with you. Mitsuhide will know about this bet right away, which he will tell you right away before you even go to this date. Naturally you will still cry and that will break his heart. He will pat your head gently, it will feel warm and comforting.

Mitsuhide will go visit this boy and his friends to give him a little “reminder” of never messing with you.

Mitsunari Ishida.

Oh, what fantastic news! Mitsunari will be happy that you were asked out and will congratulate you, he will be happy to see you excited for it. He will be the brother who will be very supportive of you. But when you get home, crying because you were tricked… he will snap. He will give you the biggest hug and try serving you tea (which you will refuse, he means well though).

It’s very rare to see Mitsunari angry or show signs of being mad, but this will be the moment he will use all of his intelligence to make sure this boy pays. Mitsunari will use his strategic mind to make him suffer.

Masamune Date.

Great! All of his advices about dating are working, Masamune will personally give you tips about what to do on your first date, including what to do if this boy tries anything that you are uncomfortable with, he will train you on self defense for that. Masamune will be surprised when you come back home sad.

Oh, there is no one who can hold this man back from going to this boy’s province to cause commotion. Call him crazy, because he will act like he is. The boy will be begging for your forgiveness after this. He will cook you your favorite food to comfort you.

Keiji.

That’s great! Keiji will be happy as well, he will make sure you are fully prepared as well. He will be suspicious about this boy but won’t try to interfere with your date, he just hopes everything goes well. However his suspicions will be proven right when you come back home with tears in your eyes, he will give you a big hug and comfort you right away.

He is a very strong man, no one can doubt that… he won’t be smiling or being his usual cheery self. This boy will be in big trouble. He will be whipped so hard by Keiji he will never mess with you again.

Ranmaru Mori.

Oh! How exciting. Ranmaru will want to dress you up personally for this date, you will be the prettiest princess there is. He will give you lots of encouragement for this date so that you can have fun.

Oh, Ranmaru will cry a bit if you start crying after returning, he will hug you and tell you how he doesn’t deserve you. Also, we should remember that he is a ninja, Ranmaru will keep messing with this boy and his friends for what he has done to you.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

No, he doesn’t trust this boy or any boys who approach you. You are his little sister, you are too young and innocent for these disgusting boys. Kenshin will insist that you stay at home, but will eventually accept that you go. Though he might follow you to see how this date will go.

His heart began to broke when he saw that the boy didn’t even show up. He knew it, he will go to war with this boy! When you get home, kenshin will give you all the comfort you want. He will even reassure you that he has already prepared to go to war against the boy.

Shingen Takeda.

Shingen will be excited for this, very proud too. You are his cute little sister, every boy should feel lucky to go to a date with you. He will teach you all you need to know about dates so that you can go confidently. He will be very supportive of you, though he couldn’t help but feel worry.

When you return home crying, shingen will make his life goal to make this vermin suffer for making you cry. He is a very smart man, he can think of many ways to create trouble for the boy’s province. He will give you a bear hug and his sweets.

Yukimura Sanada.

Yukimura isn’t sure about this, he dislikes dates and things related to them, he can be a bit overprotective of you. He can’t really stop you but will be constantly questioning you about the safety of this date. What if he tries something? What if he is a boring guy? Well, he won’t try to stop you from going.

When he sees you back home earlier than expected, he will be all like “I knew it.”. Yukimura will pat your head and think of this boy as trash for standing you up like that. He will punch him for you, just ask him and he will do it.

Yoshimoto Imagawa.

He will be thrilled, how wonderful that you were asked out on a date! Yoshimoto will be very proud of you and will hope you have a wonderful time. He will offer to dress you up, prepare your hair and make up. Just let him make you the most beautiful girl for this date. Though you already are beautiful. The most supportive big brother you will have.

Seeing you back, sad and crying from your date, will awaken something inside Yoshimoto. He will give you lots of comfort and hugs, telling you that you are too beautiful for an ignorant person like that boy. He will become much more aggressive towards the boy, which will be rare.

Sasuke.

He will be very happy to know that you are going out on a date, though Sasuke will try investigating about the boy. He won’t find out about the bet so he won’t stop you from going. He will feel extremely guilty when he sees you back home, feeling sad. Sasuke will cheer you up the best way he can. Besides, he can make you laugh easily.

He will spread ground spikes all over the boy’s bed as revenge.

A Rant About Ikesen’s Treatment of Motonari

I’ve been away from tumblr for a while but I had to come back for this.

So something I’ve noticed throughout playing Ikesen is the way that the game is very biased agains Motonari and I think it needs to be addressed because he is the only brown character and his portrayal is full of harmful stereotypes against brown men. I love this game but I haven't seen a single person acknowledge how badly Motonari is treated by the creators and the fandom as a result of that.

Also any racist comments will be blocked.

Possible route spoilers under the cut…

So lets start with the obvious, he is the only dark skinned character in Ikesen and when I first started playing I was so happy about that because finally (regardless of his ethnicity which honestly in this portrayal of him can be up for debate, I HC him as south East Asian) we are getting some representation. Throughout the game though I started noticing a lot of harmful stereotypes being thrown onto him that none of the other characters face.

Both him and Nobunaga are relatively misogynistic, I’m not denying that at all. However the way it is portrayed in their routes is very different. Nobunaga should in fact have sexual harassment charges, yet its romanticized repeatedly throughout his route. Motonari on the other hand treated MC as a possession the same way Nobunaga did, however he is shown as aggressive and scary as opposed to Nobunaga being shown as sexy and romantic.

There is also a difference in their respective CG’s 

Motonari’s CG is shown much more threatening and aggressive than Nobunaga’s

That brings me to my next point. Every other antagonist so far is shown to have a gentle and redeemable side. Kenshin threatened to wage war on the whole country while keeping MC locked in a cell yet he is still shown to be gentle and romantic. Kennyo repeatedly kidnaps and threatens MC’s life in other routes yet he is shown as a gentle monk who just wants revenge for his fallen brethren. Why doesn't Motonari get that level of consideration and empathy? Why is he, the only brown man, shown as an aggressive two-dimensional brute in every single route that isn’t his own? And this is a harmful stereotype that shows itself in all kinds of media. Brown men are depicted as predatory and aggressive both in fiction and real life.

This leads me to his ethnicity (I’m only talking about Ikesen’s portrayal of Motonari, I am well aware he was a Japanese warlord irl). In his route there is a part where he is talking about slavery and colonialism. As a South Asian woman I completely understand his perspective and its what got me thinking about this subject in the first place.

This subject is clearly personal to him. These lines, the way he looks as opposed to the other characters, and the fact that he speaks Spanish (around this time period the Philippines were being colonized by Spain), leads me to head cannon him as South East Asian, specifically Filipino. However, historically, Motonari comes from a region of Southern Japan, which is known as Hiroshima today. Cybird meant to market him as Okinawan. A large part of the reason Motonari is being treated this way by Cybird stems from the fact that people from Okinawa face racism from mainland Japan. Considering the fact that this game was made in Japan, and knowing what we know about their history of colonization, racism, and east asian beauty standards revolving around colorism, I am honestly not surprised that Motonari is being portrayed like this.

Until now they just showed his reason for fighting the Oda to be “oh I just want to watch the world burn for no reason”. But no that’s not the reason. These lines. That’s the reason. A lot of the context behind those lines comes from the fact that comes from because people from mainland Japan treated Okinawan people as slaves. He doesn’t want to see another colonizer come into power. Sure he’s a bit of an extremist but historically people who have this ideology have always been portrayed as savage and barbaric and “against the betterment of society” (think Jet from atla or even Malcom x). It’s no different in ikesen. The devs are clearly villainizing this ideology. Let’s not forget the fact that irl Hideyoshi invaded Korea. And the fact that anime and otome games are part of Japan’s way of erasing their war crimes and rebranding themselves to the rest of the world. It’s blatantly obvious here with the way they’re villainizing Motonari for having a perfectly valid reason to fight the Oda. If Japan stays divided they can’t invade and colonize other countries like the Philippines can they? Anti-colonialism = bad. 

Lastly I want to talk about how they downplayed his abilities as a leader and a warlord in his own right. In all the other routes he is depicted as less educated and frankly “dumb”, and it shows itself in his speech patterns too. Compared to Nobunaga and Mitsuhide, Motonari’s speech is stereotypically “less educated” and “lower class”. Yet he is just as much of a leader as any of the other warlords. However instead of acknowledging that, the game chooses to focus on his crimes and behavior as a pirate, instead of his role as the head of the Mouri clan.

At one point Kicho even compares his intelligence to a fifth grader which just rubs me the wrong way because lets take a moment to actually look at Motonari’s abilities. He is multilingual, has knowledge of global politics and economics, is an amazing businessman, and extremely analytical. He is literally known as the God of Decit, yet I did not hear that name once until his route came out. His strategies are good enough to be called a god, yet that is completely buried in the other routes in order to simplify his character into a trigger happy psychopath and a violent brute. He is just as smart as Nobunaga yet he is not given the credit he deserves.

Both Motonari and Nobunaga are extremely similar yet because of the horribly biased portrayals, Motonari is one of the least popular characters whereas Nobunaga is the second most popular. It makes me angry to see people in the fandom choosing to blindly hate Motonari without recognizing the fact that this stems from a frankly racist portrayal of an extremely intelligent and powerful character. Although truthfully, I blame the devs because if they had given his character even half the consideration and depth the others got, this would not be the case. 

You can disagree with me if you want. I am simply bringing attention to something I haven’t seen being addressed.

I hope in future routes, events, and sequels he is treated better by the devs and and the fandom. Please stop projecting racist stereotypes onto brown men.

When Nobunga found out you had a twin sister he was shook ◉_◉

In his books siblings, or well families for that matter, was not to be trusted

Low and behold the wormhole picked up your sister and dropped he off at the gates of the castle ｡◕‿◕｡

She walked in easily and was super confused at everyone addressing her as “princess.” (^^ゞ

That’s when she spotted you walking down the hallway (≧▽≦)

She legit sprinted to your side and tackled you in a hug ＼(^o^)／

Cue Nobunaga walking out of the council room

He keenly examined both of you and grabbed you by your hand to pull you away from your sister in a tight embrace  ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

“Oi listen here you demanding little brat..” your sister legit took your hand to pull you back into her embrace (ง'̀-'́)ง

Your twin and Nobunaga had an intense staring contest (¬_¬)

Finally, you broke the silence and cleared up the misunderstanding, reminding Nobunaga of the conversation you had had with him about your twin

She legit looked him up and down suspiciously, “You sure this one makes you happy, cause I saw a cutie with a beauty mark under his eye as I was wandering around..” (；一_一)

At the sight of your beamingly happy face your sister  reluctantly gave you her blessing ¬_¬

But that by no means met she let Nobunaga completely off the hook

The two of them would bicker all of the freaken time and 100% compete for your attention

Even though Nobunaga and your sister fought like cats and dogs, Nobunaga still felt it only right to ask he permission to marry you

One day he stomped up to your sister’s room, while you were out in the markets helping Mitsunari |*▼皿▼)

“So you want to marry my sister, and what makes you think you are good enough to marry my sweet cute sis, huh?” (≖︿≖✿)

That is when Nobunaga told your sister everything that he loved about you while wearing the most gentle of smiles (◕▿◕✿)

“Fine, you can marry her… if you beat me in a shoot of” (¬‿¬)

And your sister and Nobunaga shook hands and sought out Mitsuhide to have a shoot-off, naturally your sister won (Which low key impressed Mitsuhide big time)

Your sister took one look at Nobungaga and knew he truly did love you so she smacked him on the back and said with a huge smirk, “Welcome to the family Nobungaga, just remember if you break my sister’s heart, I will break your face.” (◠‿◠✿)

Nobungaga smiled his devilish smirk, perhaps families and siblings genuinely aren’t that bad 

Yukimura

Both you and your sister had travelled back in time together

You sister was shyer and more reserved, so she spent more time reading with Ieyasu, Mitsuhide and Mitsunari (✿◠‿◠)

While you would explore the markets and go on adventures with Masamune and Hideyoshi (◕▿◕✿)

You had taken a liking to a certain boyish merchant and soon the two of you were in a relationship

You had told Yukimura that you had a sister but forgot to mention that she was your identical twin 

(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ ✧ﾟ･: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)

After gushing about Yukimura to your sister, she was intrigued at the type of man who could make her beloved sister so happy and wanted to meet him

The two of you walked around the markets together when you caught a glimpse of Sasuke (◕‿◕✿)

The two of you stopped and chatted with the ninja

That’s when Yukimura spotted you (˶◕‿◕˶✿)

He rubbed his eyes cause he thought he was seeing doubles (*ﾉω-)

The closer he got, the more his confusion grew ◉_◉

He tapped you on the shoulder and both you and your sister turned around at the same time (｡◕‿‿◕｡)

“Witchcraft!” (ʘ言ʘ╬)

So naturally, the Oda and Uesugi forces formed a temporary alliance, and that’s when it happened

Kenshin and your sister had just entered into the Oda camp and at the sight of your sister, Hideyoshi ran towards her and pulled her into a hug

“Hey, I think there is some misunderstanding,” Your sister gently pushed Hideyoshi away as Kenshin was now ready to cut the mama bear down

Hideyoshi’s eyes widened in confusion, he looked between her and Kenshin, as your sister retreated into his arms

Just then you appeared out of nowhere carrying a bunch of flowers (◕‿◕✿)

“Hey Yoshi look at all these pretty flowers I found, while Yasu and I were out collecting herbs” you placed your hand on Hideyoshi’s shoulder as you walked closer your way to the group (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Cue Yoshi being hella confused  (ʘᗩʘ’)

As you got closer, you spotted your sister and instantly dropped the flowers and tackled her in a tight hug （╯°□°）╯︵( .o.)

After a few moments, Kenshin simply smiled at you, as your sister had been talking non-stop about you (｡◕‿◕｡)

When he finally processed the information before him, he bowed his head and apologized profusely to your sister, “OwO ahh him so sorry, i-I didn't realize-“ 

Your sister was super chilled and just smiled at him, “it’s all good, people used to mistake us for each other all the time!” ｡◕‿◕｡

Definitely lets you spend lots of time with your sister while the Oda forces are in the alliance

He will legit mama bear the shit outta your sister while the two forces are in an alliance, much to Kenshin's displeasure (¬_¬)

He instantly adopts, and sister zones your sister

Even after the war is over, he will invite her to visit the two of you, even putting his differences aside with the God of war

Is super happy to have met a member of your family and loves it when your sister tells a bunch of embarrassing stories about you when you were little (◕▿◕✿)

Ohhhhooohhh Arthur is definitely excited to have two pretty little skirts around to chase (◕▿◕✿)

Will flirt mercilessly with both of you, to which both of you just scoff and walk away

She legit marched he way up to the playboy’s room the second you told her that the two of you were dating, to find out his intentions

Your sister simply narrowed her eyes at him, “If you break her heart, you will wish you were never born when I’m done with you,” after a final threat your sister gave him a chilling smile and left (≖︿≖✿)

God, she was frightening (ﾟωﾟ;)

After that Arthur tried to spend time doing 3 people activities to get to know your sister a bit better and to prove that he truly did love you

Arthur would often invite the two of you out with him to solve cases, something which all three of you actually really enjoyed ( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ)

As time went on your sister started to accept Arthur as part of the family, plus you were right, Vic was the sweetest dog in the whole world, no way such a sweet dog would hang around a crappy owner | (• ◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)

But it honestly never worked on Arthur as he could instantly tell which twin was which

Napoleon had left some of Harry the hedgehog’s favourite food down in the wine cellar, which caused harry to naturally, stray from Isaacs room to nibble up his fav snacks  V✪ω✪V

While Napoleon worked on getting Isaac into position, your sister had handed you the new shipment of wine to be placed in the cellar 

You made your way to the dark cellar only to stumble upon Isaac on the floor reaching under one of the shelves ಠ╭╮ಠ

“Oh I-I-Isaac, what are you doing down here” you shyly asked as Isaac sat up and looked down at the ground sheepishly (*^_^*)

“My hedgehog, got himself stuck under the shelves and I can’t seem to quite reach him.”

You gave him a timid smile and sat beside him reaching your arm beneath the shelf to retrieve the hedgehog (◕‿◕✿)

You handled the little critter to Isaac and the two of you started chatting about your mutual love for animals 

All while unbeknown to the both of you, your sister and Napoleon watched from the doorway high fiving each other at a job well-done

It wasn’t long before you and Isaac was in a relationship  (/^-^(^ ^*)/

Honestly, this boy could easily tell you apart from your sister

Hehe, he is super awkward around your sister, but tries to get to know her a little better by spending time with both of you 

The three of you actually help out together at Napo’s school
