inspo: plot & conflict

let’s get the general stuff out of the way first

so, this whole mini-series was actually thought of because i watched the “gambler” mv and band version one too many times as i tried to cope w pcd

[i highly recommend the band ver btw. it tempts me to swerve to changkyun every single time, istg]

and then i consequentially topped it off w mafia!aus . . .

truth be told, i wanted to save the hidden baby/secret child trope for future works since i didn’t want to overuse it

[it’s my go-to in my earlier, unpublished works. idk if they’ll ever see the light of day, but they’re def still in my drive somewhere]

i needed a big enough reason for sea to leave a relationship they were otherwise more than happy in — and (un)fortunately, i couldn’t think of any other situation

i figured being responsible for more than their own life should do the trick, so there

a general plot was made, tgt w the root of conflict

a gambler & a danger

ngl, out of all the parts for this mini-series, these two were the only ones that turned out exactly like how i planned them

specifically, the story captured in these two parts were the exact scenes i wanted to tell right from the start

there was no deviation from the original plot/screenplay or whatsoever

it was great

which, now that i think abt it, was prolly why i finished these two relatively quick

since there was no ‘what-if’s to consider

a secret

in contrast, i had a slight difficulty for this part because i had a ‘what-if’ scenario

i had to debate whether hoseok would be traveling alone or not

ngl, i have a tendency to go for the angstier way — but, for this case, the two options had contrasting effects on the story

option one was ultimately made canon

yk, hoseok crosses paths with sea on vacation and basically invites himself to walk around w them lol

but option two . . .

oh boy

did y’all hear abt that one time when hoseok was spotted at the airport w kihyun and changkyun? (it was after wonho became a soloist, so ot7 stans won that day *insert star eyes here*)

but yea, i basically took inspo from that and went— what if?

what if hoseok and then changkyun spotted sea?

then, different from canon, the convo they’d have would be significantly shorter since sea would feel more apprehensive about being in the same place as MX members

neither hoseok nor changkyun would have a chance to get close enough to learn kian’s name or even play w her since sea would of course leave as soon as possible

it’s debatable if sea would even get to think abt asking hoseok and changkyun the favor of not telling the others abt seeing them in their vacation

but, either way, the men’s eyes were still faster than sea since they already caught a glimpse of bebe kian

who, as hoseok canonically puts it, “looks a lot like her father”

now here’s the part that makes me scream— it’s so angsty i personally love it:

what if, as sea turned to leave, they saw someone not too far away who eerily looks like kihyun? looking at them? looking at kian?

[*screams*]

angst level through the roof already ik, but lemme make it worse

sea was written to have a strong resolve, someone who is selfish and selfless at the same time, someone who doesn’t back down easily

so yk what? even if they made eye contact w that person who eerily resembled kihyun, they would pretend they weren’t spooked

they would still leave . . . bc they already made their choice

as for the reason why i didn’t go with that route, even if it was literally the angstiest of the two aka my type lol

personally, i felt like option two would waste all of sea’s efforts to get away

i mean— sure, they would still reunite w kihyun eventually [bc yes, no matter what sea does, they’re still meant to end up w him]

but at least w option one, they had more time to enjoy their freedom — and w that extra time, they were able to have no regrets abt ruining an eight-year long of otherwise perfectly fine relationship

plus, if they saw each other then, sea would still be able to get away since it’d take kihyun a while to recover from his shock

but once he processed everything? he will try to find them. no amount of SVT’s countermeasures and precautions would be able to stop him. he will find sea and kian within two months — three months, tops.

however, as touched on in ‘a compass,’ that was exactly what sea didn’t want. bc they’d eventually end up hating him for real

overall, as much as i love angst, i didn’t want the series to get too messy once the domino effect hits, that was why i ultimately made option one canon

inspo: yoo kian

originally, i planned kian to be a boy

[just bc bb boys are my default for hidden baby!aus for some reason??? yea idk, either]

but then, yk how for some ppl you just see what gender of children “suit” them the best? like, minhyuk’s def a girl dad??

yea . . . same logic for kihyun. although his interactions w kylo are v uwu, i still see him as a girl dad. perhaps not as strong as my vision for minhyuk, but it’s still there

as for her name, sea never planned to completely erase kihyun in her life

they wanted to raise her away from him and out of his radar, yes, but they still wanted kian to have a piece of him wherever they go

hence sea let kian carry his surname and even share a syllable of her name w him

and they were only confident abt doing that bc, again, kihyun didn’t know abt bebe kian — he can’t track both of them using someone he didn’t even know existed

ik the spelling of her name can be considered masculine, but i merely romanized how her name would be written in hangul (키안/기안), so i see no point in giving her the feminine spelling of it

oh! i almost forgot: kian wasn’t actually the first name i thought of for sea and kihyun’s kid

i already forgot what the first name was, but the name kian was thought of after i remembered abt sian from tros lol

inspo: mafia codes

i wanted everyone to have a mafia codename of sorts

the members w stage names were easy, also those w alternate names (as in hyungwon’s case) since i just used those

but for those who have their real names as their stage names, i had to be creative

jooheon became ‘honey,’ after his current stage name that i keep forgetting [srly, i always forget that he goes by joohoney now T_T]

minhyuk became ‘gorae,’ which is korean for whale, his favorite animal

the only one i rlly had trouble w was kihyun’s code name

i personally associate him w hamsters, but i couldn’t thing of anything that could make ‘hamster’ as a code name intimidating, so i had to look for inspiration somewhere else

somehow, in my quest, i stumbled upon the fact that ‘yoo’ — kihyun’s last name — can be spelled as ‘ryu’ in the past

hence his code name ‘ryuki’

as for SVT members . . . there’s a reason why not all of them appeared in the series lol

i mean— besides the fact that it’s a MX-centered fic, most of them go by their real names on stage

and i rlly don’t have the energy to give everyone a creative code name lol

still, i came up with some just in case i ran out of members who have stage names

thus ‘player’ for wonwoo, after the carmen sandiego character and also the fact that he’s a gamer

‘moon’ for junhui, after his korean surname (문)

and two more back-ups i didn’t get to use: ‘ghost’ for seungkwan, solely bc his last name is boo [sometimes i think i’m funny] && ‘polar’ for hansol vernon, after his current emoji representative

though imma be honest

i have no idea who ‘labri’ is

when i first thought of the code name, it rooted from the word ‘lovely.’ when i tried to write it in hangul, it became ‘랍리’ or ‘labli’/‘labri’/‘lablee’/‘rabri’/— you get the idea

but with that, two members come to mind personally: jeonghan and mingyu

if ‘labri’ is jeonghan, it could also be the case that ‘labri’ came from ‘libra’ aka his zodiac sign, with a couple letters switched

however, if ‘labri’ is mingyu, it could also be the case that ‘labri’ came from ‘labrador’

so yea, idk who he is

a favor

despite being angsty, this part was a lil difficult to write ngl

i literally had to rewrite the entire thing three times before i finally had something i was satisfied w

i knew what i wanted to write, specifically what scenes i wanted to show, it was just a matter of how i should tell it

MX’s introduction to kian was originally captured in great detail as in move-for-move

but then . . . idk what was actually wrong w it, but it just seemed wrong for some reason???

i still saved that draft somewhere bc those scenes were so cute to me, but yea . . . i ultimately rewrote it

[sometimes i just don’t get how my brain works, sigh]

funnily enough, the scene that convinced me to even write this part in the first place didn’t even make the cut

like ‘a secret,’ this part also had a ‘what if’ — one that also had a contrasting effect to the story

the second idea was what i made canon

yk— wonho volunteered for the alliance but ryuki ended up the one getting engaged after MX pieced kian’s parentage tgt

but in the initial idea . . .

honey was chosen for the alliance

i didn’t work out how he was picked, but i did work out that he was v reluctant abt it — as in he wasn’t totally on board w it, but still agreed anw bc it was for MX’s future

sea wasn’t SVT’s pick for the marriage in this version tho

instead, honey was set to marry periwinkle aka perrie — someone who wasn’t part of SVT’s core, but a high-ranking member nonetheless

their dynamic was supposed to be like enemies-to-lovers, since both of them weren’t really fond of the idea

perrie was supposed to be rlly close w sea tho: partly bc the former was one of their “guards” until they left the country

which led to sea attending the wedding as a show of support

i mean— sure, for this ver, sea is still avoiding ryuki as much as they can, but with the alliance between SVT-MX pretty much complete, they're a bit more lax abt it than in canon

also bc of the logic that MX didn't find them to begin w before they crossed paths again, so the threat "make sure we never find you" in ‘a gamble’ is still in sea's favor

now here's the scene that convinced me to write this part in the first place but didn't even make the cut:

as it happened in canon, labri still mistakingly hands kian to the MX members before hurriedly leaving

and that event is still the reason why MX members will be able to piece together kian's parentage

although, for this ver, kian will resemble sea more than ryuki

[honestly idk how kian ended up looking like ryuki more in canon when i’ve been dead-set that she should look like her mapa more right from the beginning T_T]

[hoseok’s comment in ‘a secret’ was only supposed to be a signal like “i know who the father is”]

they will still be able to figure it out tho based on her features and other “coincidences”

unlike in canon tho, the one who will pick her up from MX’s house is sea

think “you fcking did WHAT? labri, you’re fcking DEAD. don’t fcking go near my daughter, i’m mad at you. i’ll pick her up myself”

yea, sea’s furious at labri oki

[like, so v much so that they literally signed up to go to the lion’s den unaccompanied without much thought]

and understandably so, since hello?? this whole thing was abt keeping kian & kihyun apart???

not to worry, though

surprisingly enough, had they met this way, they would’ve been pretty civil . . . and calm

i didn’t work out the logistics, but kihyun supposedly harbor no ill feelings for sea in this ver

it’s like . . . after piecing kian’s parentage, he just figures out what exactly happened and just . . . understood

so, yea

for this ver, “the talk” that happened in ‘a compass’ is a lot quieter and calmer

like it literally takes place while the other members painstakingly gather everything that belongs to kian that had been scattered around the house lol

and as a sort of soft epilogue, sea and ryuki would meet again in honey and periwinkle’s wedding reception

where it would be alluded that they would be a couple again in the future

and then [*hits the slate*] CUT

ngl i rlly looked forward to writing the reunion in this ver since it was the reason this part exist in the first place

but

as i progressed writing the opening scenes for this particular part, i realized it didn’t seem realistic that ryuki would just let sea off the hook that easily

sure, this is fiction and all, but i figured kihyun at least deserves some time to show sea that the trauma they caused wasn’t okay

cuz yk . . . we can’t just invalidate ppl’s feelings like that

so yeah

that’s why canon is the way it is

a journey & a compass

frankly, these two parts wouldn’t’ve existed if not for the anons that asked abt them

cuz i fully intended to just end the story in ‘a favor’

partly bc i knew if i extended the story beyond that, i would have no choice but to actually address kihyun’s trauma

not that there was smth wrong w doing that, it’s just . . . i didn’t want to mess it up

even if it’s fictional, that trauma is heavy yk

i think i messed it up anw but yk it is what it is ig

ngl there was only supposed to be one part after ‘a favor’

but, while i was writing ‘a journey,’ i noticed that there would be a shift in the tone?— the color?— idk how to phrase it— of the story

so i decided that it would be best to split the supplementary part into two

one focusing on the “pretending”

and the other on the “closure”

as i mentioned on one of my replies to an anon, the keyword for the last set of supplemental parts was ‘wedding’

yea, i technically could’ve just went straight to ‘a compass’ without having to write ‘a journey,’ that’s true

but there were some information in ‘a journey’ that i needed to mention

don’t ask what it was bc i can’t recall now lol

but yea that’s why there was ‘a journey’ before ‘a compass’ :D

inspo: significant others

sea actually had a name in the first draft of ‘a gamble’ bc i originally didn’t plan on sharing the story here

and every time a story is exclusively for me, i tend to create ocs since that’s what i did before my tumblr writer era

[yes, that’s why my mcmxcvii & mcu stuff are x oc . . . those universes were built years ago]

but anw

sea’s name was choi gaeul

they were supposed to share their last name with their cousin seungcheol

wait actually let me elaborate

they were named as such first

with their first name being from chu gaeul of boys over flowers [aka half of one of my first ships as a kid uwu]

&& then when the time came to pick a relative who share the same surname, seungcheol became an obvious choice

ergo, SVT was ultimately inserted in the story

ergo, the codename ‘autumn’ later on became out of question since that’s what gaeul meant

ngl had i published the story w an oc, bb kian’s full name would’ve easily been choi kian

which strangely would’ve changed the story in ‘a favor’ & onwards now that i think abt it

huh

anw sea’s occupation is an architect

why? solely bc of a small fact mentioned in ‘a journey’: so i can say that they thought seungcheol would simply ask them to design a blueprint for SVT’s house as a favor

that’s v shallow ik, but i always try to be as vague and as general as possible in my x reader fics

so when i do specify some things, they’re more likely than not thought of last min and had to be made bc i had no other choice

that includes the name drops for minhyuk’s and changkyun’s respective partners, actually — since i couldn’t just refer to them as their other half every single time

they’re more than just that yk

i came up with minhyuk’s partner’s name first — nari — bc they were supposed to be mentioned by name in ‘a favor,’ right in the beginning when it was discussed that them & minhyuk were already married by then

for extra measure, i also planned out some things abt nari & their relationship w minhyuk just in case i needed them

like how nari’s works in a flower shop & somehow met minhyuk there one day, allowing for their love story to start [yea, they got the florist-mafia trope. it’s cute]

&& also how nari is actually pregnant during ‘a favor’ & onwards

them seeking advice from sea abt giving birth & parenthood was actually my back up plan for the story flow lol

actually, that also includes them offering to babysit kian for “experience” [one of my drafts actually had a scene where ryuki & sea had a fight abt this lol]

funnily enough, the name nari was thought of bc i remembered abt the narra tree

it was rlly random, but that basically gave my name search a direction — name starting w n, meaning possibly related to plants

&& tada~ nari means ‘lily’ — or so google says

i didn’t bother thinking of a surname for nari though, or hayeon too, for that matter

in fact, changkyun’s partner has less info planned out compared to nari

most likely bc i didn’t intend them to play a huge role in the series or appear at all

but alright, here’s everything i came up w abt changkyun’s partner

their name hayeon was from one of the former kids in tros [i just think it’s a beautiful-cute name, nothing else]

they’re a doctor, speciality unknown — most likely smth related to surgery tho

mostly bc the trope that i thought for them two involves kyun getting wounded && hayeon fixing him up

i did consider that hayeon was prolly the first person to know abt sea’s pregnancy

and, for some reason, sea was alright w them knowing

specifically, for wtv reason, sea knew hayeon would keep that knowledge a secret from MX

i didn’t rlly flesh out the ‘why,’ exactly, but it was def hinted in ‘a compass’

smth abt what happened to hayeon will fs prompt MX to tighten their security/surveillance around sea when they find out that they’re pregnant

ngl what ‘happened’ may or may not have involved hayeon getting kidnapped . . .

and let’s just say hayeon believes that it’s better to stay away from any mafia than to accept some sort of protection from them

based on their experience, yk the mafia protection basically failing them, they have the right to feel that way

so yeah: sea knowing that particular belief of theirs def played a part on why sea would feel safe sharing their secret w them

&& also why hayeon was intentionally ‘absent’ in the series compared to nari whose scenes just got cut: they were staying as far away from all the mafia shenanigans as much as possible

which, really, wasn’t difficult for them to do given that they’re a doctor & everything

since we’re on the topic, i might as well mention this

hayeon & changkyun’s on-&-off relationship was def influenced by their kidnapping

i won’t go to details bc i didn’t actually flesh it out

but, as i see it rn, their story def has so much angst in it that i can’t even guarantee a ‘happy ending’ for them if i ever write it

this rambling has gone on longer than i intended

i didn’t realize i had so much to say abt the ‘behind’ of this series oml

it’s the first series i finished wo having all the parts prewritten before posting, so all the interactions — the likes, the reblogs, the comments, the messages — really drove this to completion

The Answer to a Never Ending Story

(Part two of turn around)

Read part one here

Summary: you and Bucky get to your date after the awkward encounter in the kitchen.

Warnings: pure fluff. Absolute cheesy fluff. Like to the point that it’s actually cringey. Oh and SMUT tehe. Yeah 18+ MINORS DNI oral fem receiving, extreme after care, pet names (babydoll, little one, bubba)

A/n: Hi! Ok so Ik Ik I was mia. Sorry for being so crap at this lol. Im going to have to stop making promises to get stuff out coz this was supposed to be out ages ago but it literally took me a month to write it and it’s not even good. I have got a series in the works the first 3 of 6 chapters are written but I want it done before I post it so I don’t leave you hanging. One more thing. this is my firtst attempt at writing SMUT and Ik it sucks but there ya go 😂 Anyways thank you to anyone that read this, sending love xx

You both went your separate ways with the promise to meet at his room in an hour ready for your movie date. You were still feeling a little embarrassed about everything that had just gone down but felt comforted by Bucky, which really posed a whole new dilemma for you because his understanding and kindness only made you fall for him more.

As soon as Bucky had left the kitchen, right after placing a soft kiss to your cheek, you made your way to your room to find Nat and Wanda sitting on your bed waiting for you.

This time you made sure your door was shut and that it was definitely just the three of you in the room. Once you were confident there were no lurking super soldiers to be found you let out a squeal, although much quieter than your previous screams not wanting to end up as you had just minutes prior. Nat and Wanda seemed to both visibly relax, now knowing that it had turned out well before joining you in your (much smaller) celebration.

“Aw I’m so happy for you sweetie” Wanda cooed.

“I take it Bucky didn’t mind your… um…scene” Natasha said hesitantly but not being able to keep the sly smirk from her face.

“Shut it, I’m still mad at both of you” you said pointing an accusatory finger but with a hint of playfulness in your tone.

“Well if he can deal with you through one of your emotional roller coaster melt downs then he is definitely the guy for you hon” Wanda chuckled. You grabbed the nearest thing to you, that when lobbed at someone’s head wouldn’t pierce their skull, which happened to be your hairbrush, and chucked it at Wanda.

“You guys are mean” you said with a playful pout.

“Yeahhh but you love us” Nat smirked.

You just shook your head with a smile and wandered over to them.

“Ok” you clapped your hands excitedly. “We have a movie date in an hour so help me get ready” you demanded grabbing their hands and pulling them to your closet.

You ended up just picking out a pair of black joggers and a white cropped t-shirt that you paired with fluffy socks and a simple necklace after taking a quick shower. You put on mascara and let your hair dry naturally.

When you were ready, you still had 10 minutes until you had to get to Bucky’s room, which wouldn’t take long since it was literally 2 doors down, so you texted him asking if he wanted you to bring any snacks or anything.

‘No need doll, I got everything planned ;)’ he replied immediately.

Wanda noticed you grinning like an idiot at your phone and peered over your shoulder to see what had you smiling. “Who taught him to use emojis?” You didn’t have to see her face to know she was smirking mischievously, you rolled your eyes with a smile.

“You two are sickeningly adorable” Nat said with an almost grimace as she looked over from her place in your closet where she was rummaging around, you figured she was probably looking for the next item of clothing to steal. You blushed at her remark.

“You should send him a picture, ya know a lil sneak peak” Wanda said cheekily.

“I’m literally in sweat pants Wan there’s not much to peak at” you giggled.

“Uh yeah but you look sexy in sweatpants” she said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, you just snorted.

“She’s right ya know, yeah you look comfy but you also look super cute, just send him a pic saying your excited.” She stated as if it would be so damn easy. Um hello did they not just witness your meltdown less than 2 hours ago?

“Guys it’s fine I’m seeing him in like 10 minutes”

“Ugh just do it” Nat groaned.

She grabbed your phone and your hand and dragged you stand in front of your floor length mirror, she shoved your phone back into your hand with the camera open and ready.

“Ok take the god damn picture”

You were hesitant but knew that you would have to take it eventually, if Nat wanted a picture she would get a picture she doesn’t usually take no for answer. So, you took a deep breath, flipped your hair back a bit and positioned yourself and the camera ready for the photo. You stood there shuffling and fiddling for at least two minutes, and could see Nat rolling her eyes in the reflection.

“Hey I saw that” you mumbled not moving from your position.

“ugh y/n just take the photo” Wanda giggled.

“Nat get outta the shot” you demanded, she moved to join Wanda on the bed. Without anymore thinking you snapped the photo.

You cringed a bit when you looked at it but Nat was up and behind your shoulder before you could blink.

“That’s perfect you look adorable”

Wanda managed to sneak over your other shoulder. “And sexy” she said, “You honestly do” nat agreed.

You rolled your eyes but agreed to send it anyway. You sent it as a message figuring Bucky probably hadn’t entered the war zone that is Snapchat yet, writing underneath, “cant wait! 😘”. You hit send before you could stop to think about it anymore.

“See that wasn’t so bad” Nat nudged your shoulder.

“Uh yes it was, what if he thought I was being weird or over excited aga-“

“Yeah I don’t think he thinks any of that” Wanda cut you off mid ramble and you stopped to look down at your phone. Once again your rambling has let you down as you had missed the ping of the notification alerting you that Bucky had responded.

“😍😍 come over now I can’t wait any longer😉”

You heard Wanda squeal behind you but it took you an extra second to react. You slowly turned around to face your best friends. “EEEEEEE he wants me to go now arghhh ok thank you so much love you Bye bitchesss” you squealed like a complete idiot as you all but ran out of your room but before you could get to your door there was knock that made you stop in your tracks. Your eyes went wide and you turned to look at nat and Wanda as a silent question of what to do.

You ended up in a whisper shouting match.

“Get it forgot sake” nat started

“What If it’s Bucky?”

“We’ll if it is what are you gonna do, not answer it” Wanda went on sarcastically.

You all started whisper shouting over each other but froze as another knock sounded at your door. “Doll?”

Definitely Bucky. “GO” Nat and Wanda whispered in unison.

You walked towards the door and took a breath before opening it. Your heart nearly melted at the scene you were greeted with. Bucky was standing, also in joggers, his were grey, and black t shirt that was definitely a few sizes to small and showed of all his muscles perfectly. But the most heartwarming part was the faint blush that dusted his cheeks and the small beautiful bouquet of your favourite flowers in he was holding.

“You look even more gorgeous in person” he said almost breathless, despite his words he looked slightly nervous which would’ve helped you relax a bit had his previous comment not just reduced you to a puddle on the floor.

“Oh and uh these are for you, I uh had to ask Wanda what your favourites were” he said.

There was a silence as you took it all in, no one had ever done something this sweet for you before, but you snapped out of it when you realised Bucky getting more and more nervous at your silence.

“Bucky they’re beautiful and you’re so sweet thank you” you almost cried. The tv was setup in front of it and there was a tray full of all the movie snacks you could want plus a bottle of wine and two glasses. You nodded and picked up the remote. You scrolled through Netflix for a while and found one that you loved and hadn’t watched in ages: How To Lose a Guy in 10 days.

You clicked on it and turned to Bucky.

I know you talk abou st*cky in the interracial ships stuff, but can we talk about st*ny? Iron husbands is literally right there, but I also always sees Rhodey as Tonys moral support only. And ik Tony is very shippable with most characters, but the fact his ship is Rhodey is one of the lowest ships in ao3 (ironstrange, winteriron and god forbid stark*r all had more fics in ao3).. It's pretty telling this side also has racism problems...

I'll go ahead and answer this here, but letting y'all know that I do have a marvel sideblog if you want to hit me up there (@themarvelarchives).

Hey, I'm going to ramble for a good minute.

So after I posted my very incoherent, controversial take on St*cky vs SamBucky, there were a ton of ppl who came onto anon saying that St*cky shippers were racist. I think I only answered a few, but y'all were pretty insistent on it. I personally have not observed that St*cky shippers are so I'm not calling anyone out on that side of the fandom for that.

I also did not call out anyone on this side of the fandom bc that's not what my meta was about. I think I mentioned maybe once or twice in the whole post that there was underlying racist in the fandom, but since you asked, we can talk about it here.

Covert Bigotry In Fandom Spaces.

To understand what's going on in the MCU, we have to first look at what I call "woke-queer" fandom.

So "Woke-Queer" Spaces is the phenomenon where certain fandom members like to call ppl out on their bigotry, while covertly harboring their own queerphobia/racism/etc. An example of this that we're all familiar with is TERFS and how they like to claim that they are progressive and woke, while also claiming that trans women are fake and trans men are sexist.

How this translates to fandom, however, is the hypocrisy that is cancellation and callout culture.

For example, Supernatural in particular is a fandom that likes to call out the writers on their homophobia and racism, and yet, somehow, the fandom is chalk full of homophobia and racism. If you want to read more about this, here is a truly excellent article from the perspective of a queer woman of color.

Moving on, I've also talked in a previous meta post, on the internalized acephobia that exploded in 2019 after Good Omens was released. Rather than reiterate everything I said in that post, I'll just leave it at this: the controversy in the Good Omens fandom can be summed up by the fact that queer audiences are claiming that Ineffable Husbands is the wrong kind of queer. The hypocrisy oozes off the screen, doesn't it?

A final way this viably translates to fandom, is in how the Doctor Who fandom evolved over time.

So Steven Moffat takes over as head writer and showrunner in 2010. It's a new series, a new Doctor, a new Tardis, and new branding. He steps up the action, changes the color grating, and raises the stakes. Women are sexier, the Doctor is smarter (and more of an asshole, but that's another meta post), and every companion comes with their own impossible mystery that makes them Special™.

Series 5-10 got tons of woke points for having lesbian characters, an episode where the Doctor is homoerotic with James Corden, and an underlying trans narrative with the Master's reincarnation. What a lot of people forget, however, is that his series was incredibly sexiest, incredibly lesbian/biphobic, and basically turned the Doctor into everyone's fantasy sex-object.

This, unfortunately, brought out the worst of the fandom. There was RTD Era vs Moffat Era wars exploding in certain corners, TenxRose shippers vs ElevenxRiver shippers.

What does this have to do with covert racism in fandom cultures though?

Hnnngng ok, so back in RTD era's we get Martha Jones, the Actual Best Companion On The Entire Show. Except for the fact, of course, that she is written to be in love with the doctor. She's a brilliant character--smart, sassy, flawed, funny, flirtatious--and her entire plotline is reduced down to a school-girl crush on a white man.

She doesn't do well with fans, they scrap her after one season.

We move on to Donna Noble (The Other Actual Best Companion On The Entire Show) and RTD's era ends with them scraping her too and regenerating David Tennant's Doctor.

It will be five more series (not seasons, SERIES) until Doctor Who will have another black companion--who gets extra points for being gay--only to fall victim to "bury your gays" at the end of the season (but not really bc no one stays dead on Doctor Who).

The fandom's reception of Martha Jones was historically bad. The comparisons to her predecessor, Rose Tyler, were rampant and everyone was finding a reason to hate her.

The fandom's reception to Bill Potts was also historically bad, as everyone was screaming that she was being written for more "woke points" and that they wanted Clara back.

Fandom has a historically bad reputation of being problematic and, I would argue, the majority of it has to do with these toxic undertones of bigotry that slip under the radar. "Woke-queer" spaces, as I call them, are these instances above where spaces that claim to be inclusive of gender/orientation/race are covertly bigoted.

Marvel and Cancelling

Now is an excellent time to talk about the MCU.

Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) has recently come under a lot of criticism from fandom members for shutting down shipper speculation.

"The idea of two guys being friends and loving each other in 2021 is a problem because of the exploitation of homosexuality. [...] something as pure and beautiful as homosexuality has been exploited by people who are trying to rationalize themselves."

I can't find the rest of the quote, but Mackie goes on further to say that it was important to him to portray "a sensitive, masculine figure" without insinuating that there was romance involved.

Woke culture lost it's shit. Everyone was suddenly claiming that Mackie was calling them exploitative for shipping a gay ship as a queer audience, which could not have been further from the case.

Mackie actually makes some very excellent points in that sensitivity is not gay/queer. Woke culture loves to rag on Toxic Masculinity, but the minute someone plays a character who is loving and sensitive with no queer narrative in mind, they are immediately canceled.

What Am I On About

Okay, let's actually address what your ask was about, Nonnie. You pointed out--rather truthfully--that it is unfair to call-out racism on one side of the fandom, while ignoring it on the other side.

Well, I've gone back through my St*cky vs. SamBucky analysis (which is incoherent at best, I apologize for that) and I see maybe once instance where I called out fandom members for being racist. Here's what I had to say about racism:

"[...] Iron Husbands is a rarepair, probably because it’s an interracial ship."

"[there is] nothing wrong with shipping two white men, but it does become a problem when you ignore/bash POC/interracial ships to the determinant of your own white ship."

And then there was the post you brought up where I addressed interracial ships in the fandom. That one is probably more relevant to this topic, to be honest, as I actually addressed fandom racism there. I assume that your reason for bringing up Stony is because it's a ship that is more relevant to my side of the fandom, HOWEVER, the reason I highlighted Stucky instead was because I was comparing the fact that they've both been around the same amount of time and are relationships that feature the protagonist and their best friend.

You brought up St*ny in the ask, however, so I'm going to talk about St*ny for a minute.

As someone who never has nor will ship St*ny, it never even occurred to me that some of the problem behind the Iron Husbands tag being so small is because everyone ships the white, boring ship. You brought up a very valid point, but because I was never in that part of the fandom, I can't really speak to any possible underlying racism there, besides what I've already said above.

I would be interested in hearing a St*ony shipper or ex-St*ony shippers thought on this, but sadly I don't know any. If you have any more thoughts regarding this, Nonnie, pls drop back into my inbox.

You do make some excellent points in this ask though, and I would like to talk about racism on my side of the fandom.

So back to Mackie and his Twitter cancellation. Notice that Disney made him address the rumors and not his co-star, Sebastian Stan. Anthony Mackie is put on blast and made to answer fan demands and receives backlash, while Sebastian Stan gets to fly under the rader. This is not, by the way, a criticism of Stan, but instead of the blatant racism Disney has been displaying over the past few years.

How this ties in with the rest of my post has to do with my "woke-queer" spaces bit. The outcry across the MCU fandom over Mackie was swift and unforgiving. He was cancelled on charges of homophobia and bigotry--all the while these same fans turn a blind eye to any queer interpretation of other interracial ships and discourse in their own fandom.

The racism that I'm speaking about, of course, is an almost passive racism. Of course if you don't ship a specific ship for reasons other than their race, it's perfectly fine. It's okay not to ship Iron Husbands or SamBucky or any other interracial fandom ships. However, the distinct lack of shippers in the fandom IS telling because there are people who would ship that exact ship if not for the fact that one of men is black.

I don't have much more to say about this except to thank you for bringing it up and for listening to my long rambling post.

Dating a ghost was never something you ever imagined happening. You didn’t even know about ghosts until you met Luke, in a series of him believes you couldn’t see him, and you freaking out when he passes through you. Ever since then, you had become close, and he came in frequently to check up on you and you guys just clicked. It was a strange experience, that was for sure but you wouldn’t change it for anything else.

Luke was amazing. He was funny, goofy, and just...perfect. So even if he was made out of air, it didn’t matter to you.

“Hey, I need to get heading, band practice. I’ll meet you tomorrow?” Luke said as you gave him a smile and nod in return. He went in to hug you, only for his arms to pass right through you. Retreating, he frowned, clasping his hands together, muttering, “Right.”

“Don’t worry about it, Lu,” You reassured, smiling at him as he nodded his head, bidding you one last farewell before leaving. It was a well known fact that Luke always got upset about not being able to touch you, especially considering touch was his ‘love language’. It was something that you constantly reassured him on, to make sure he knew that you would still be with him if you couldn’t touch him.

Tonight was just one of many dates you had been on with Luke, your boyfriend. Of course, you probably looked weird being by yourself and laughing and talking in public but you didn’t care, because being with Luke was all that mattered to you. You stood for several moments, a smile on your face as you went over the events of the evening.

“Hello, dear,” You heard from behind you, snapping you out of your haze as you whipped around to look at the man standing behind you. He was tall and wore a long coat, and in full black.

True to his promise, Luke met up with you the next day. He held a smile on his face as he caught eyes with him. You jumped into his arms, your own arms wrapping around his neck as your chest collided with him. He enjoyed the embrace for a few moments before pulling you away from his body, keeping his hands wrapped around your upper arm as he spoke in confusion, “I-I can touch you?”

“I guess so,” You smiled, looking at the eyes of your lover before he pulled you in for another hug. The embrace you two shared was long needed, something that you both craved but thought you could never have, so when you were able to, Luke didn’t question it.

He didn’t even notice how you seemed to know you could touch him, considering that if you didn’t know you probably would’ve gone flying through his body without that knowledge.

Your lips crashed onto his and you smirked into the kiss, leaving Luke to enjoy this newfound affection. The day went on but it was different today. You were different. You were more confident, more sure of yourself than the kind of shy person that Luke was used to.

From your position on Luke’s back, you grabbed his head and moved it to the side so you could kiss him again, which he reciprocated but ended up pulling back at, “Where’s all this confidence coming from, angel?”

The pet name fell off of his lips effortless when he asked the question but you seemed to pay no mind to it, instead Luke seen you frown. He shook his head lightly as he elaborated, “Don’t get me wrong, I like this newfound confidence, I was just confused.”

However, that didn’t ease your nerves because inside you were screaming. He would never be able to tell though, because on the outside, you smiled and kissed him again. You couldn’t say anything, you couldn’t warn him that this wasn’t you, this confidence wasn’t yours. It was Caleb. You had no idea what Caleb had planned for them, but you could only imagine how bad it was and no doubt Luke would be ripped away from you and you couldn’t even warn him, or say goodbye.

All you wanted to do was scream and cry, to get Luke to leave and save himself, because it didn’t matter what Caleb did to you, what he would do to Luke would be way worse. But with Caleb controlling your every word, your every move, you couldn’t. All you could do was sit back and observe as the boy you loved fell into his trap.

And you did, but it wasn’t you saying it. It was Caleb, and even though he wasn’t directly processing your body, he controlled everything. You were just balancing in the middle, between Luke and Caleb, like a puppet with Caleb pulling the strings.

What should’ve felt like a heartfelt moment, filled with love and happiness wasn’t. Not for you at least, because you were screaming; screaming at Luke to run. Yet, he had no idea what was happening because you were helpless, simply a pawn in Caleb’s plan. A plan that Luke was easily falling victim too, with both you and Luke’s hearts on the line. And Caleb? All he did was laugh at your pain.

“Luke! Luke, you need to go, now!” You shouted in pain and horror, pushing your boyfriend’s chest in the opposite direction to you. The utter horror in your voice was evident as you shrieked, “Go! You need to go, Luke! Now!”

“What’s wrong? Angel? Tell me, please!” Luke said, trying to withstand the force of your panicked shoves as he stared at you, seeing the tears running thickly down your cheeks.

“I don’t have time to explain, you need to go! You can’t go with him!”

However, Luke would never get the chance. A voice called mockingly from behind you, “Awh y/n, and here I thought you were being helpful.”

Luke’s eyes went wide whilst he took a step back in shock, mouth parting as he looked up at Caleb then back at you, betrayal evident on his face, “Caleb? You’re working for him?”

“L-Luke...” The tears continued to pour from your eyes, your throat closing up almost causing you to sob. The look of betrayal that Luke was giving you broke your heart, all you wanted to do was turn back time, avoid Caleb, and continue being happy with Luke.

Both you and Luke were oblivious to Caleb teleporting you into the Hollywood Ghost Club; somewhere you had never been before but Luke certainly had. The flashy lights and decorations in the club continued to go unnoticed as Caleb looked on to you both fighting, a stony and unapologetic expression on his face.

“I loved you, I trusted you!” Luke shouted in betrayal, staring wildly down at you e/c eyes filled with tears, hands clenched at his sides, “This is how you repay me? After everything we’ve been through?”

Luke’s voice was quiet by the end as he muttered out the last part so only you could hear, his hands firmly planted on your shoulders whilst you continued to cry, “I had no choice Luke, I love you, I really do.”

However, you didn’t get a reply to that as Luke was dragged along with Caleb, the invisible shackles tied to his soul. Caleb walked in front of Luke, being carefree as if he didn’t just rip two lovers apart from each other. Your legs felt weak, lip trembling as Luke looked back at you over his shoulder; the last glimpse you would ever see of him.

Before you knew it, he was gone. You were all alone, just like you had been before you had met him. Alone, unwanted, and uncared for. Your legs trembled beneath you as your hands made contact with the floor, letting you let out a deafening sob like scream. You let out every emotion, every feeling of grief over losing your lover that would have deafened anyone that was there with you.

“God, what have I done?”

Today was so annoying. She couldn't see you all day, Kokichi was being annoying again, she swore Shuichi was looking at her weirdly, and lastly Kiibo malfunctioned because that little gremlin thought it would be a good idea just to dump a whole bucket of water on the poor ‘bot. Miu was absolutely tired. Though her legs and arms were screaming for a break she felt more inclined to find her cutie-pie. There were only two places you could be which were your dorm or your lab. She took to the former first hoping you would be there laying on your bed so she could...cuddle with you. She blushed furiously at the thought and thanked god no one was near her. She finally appeared in front of your door with her heart jumping around using her ribs to rebound. She pressed the doorbell.

“Hm? Oh Miu! How are y-”

She cut you off by pushing you back into your room and then onto the bed. Once you were laid back she straddled you.

“Wait, Miu! I don’t think we should do that rig-”

“Shut up dummy! You’re pretty dirty minded for your thoughts to go there you idiot! I just need...you know..” She trailed off at the end hoping you knew what she wanted. She did not want to say it. Luckily you knew exactly what she was hinting at.

“Rough day? We can cuddle and talk about it if you want?” She nodded and huffed slowly lowering her self onto your chest. You smile softly at her and start running your fingers through her hair. She blushes and adverts her gaze. She can’t handle the look in your eyes. So loving. It makes her too giddy. She decides to just start explaining.

“Well first that little spoiled brat...”

Med Series Rewatch (#12)

S3 E12: Born This Way.

Episode description: Dr. Manning and Dr. Choi are faced with a tough decision.

Literally when are they not.

Okay, last episode ended with the first Ava/Connor kiss, so this episode should be a rollercoaster of emotions.

let’s get into it.

- okay, already we’re starting in connor’s apartment, so cue ava walking in bc they slept together?

- i think its hilarious that her casual clothing is.. a flannel. like lmao idk

- it is so unbelievably funny and stupid to have a one night stand with someone you work closely with. i mean come on

- never forget that dr. ava bekker has a fish tank

- this is exhausting. the tentative back and forth is so fucking exhausting

- another bit of evidence. ava is never not confident, and especially not to this extent, and she never follows connor’s lead. so, the fact that she is standing back and waiting for him to make the decision? stupid.

- it screams that she is having a moment of anxiety, which is why she isn’t up to make the decisions in the exchange.

-to be clear: what i’m claiming here is that the only reason ava actually got with connor was bc she was having a moment of anxiety because he was the only person she had built a relationship with after living in this city for six months.

- when connor says that he has plans you can see her fold in on herself. this stems from a place of anxiety

- remember when they did surgery on the panda? that’s when the show peaked

- ava in her lab coat will never not get me. especially with the gloves, running towards a patient (very hot)

- connor still looks kinda looks like a mess but ava is immaculate here like what dude out of your league

- ava asking the family questions (ik this is standard doctor stuff but showing worry, interest, all that jazz)

- okay, see here! here! ava calls connor out, saying that his procedure is too invasive. before, ava’s procedures where invasive, which everyone used as evidence to her being super cold, but now, we see that she purely does what she deems best for the patient at hand

- also, once again, the concern ava feels. you can hear it in her voice. we forget this part of her way too often

- the smile on ava’s face when she gives the family good news. god wept

- and then more concern when connor tells her they need to put him on ecmo

- the reason that ava is frustrated that connor didn’t go with her decision for their patient care is because she truly believes that if they don’t go with her treatment, he will die. don’t make it anything different. don’t argue she’s frustrated because he’s not listening to her. don’t make it anything about their relationship. she puts their patients care first and foremost

- there’s a stark shift in her demeanor when in the room with the parents vs. her alone with connor. in the room, you can see she’s stewing. she’s sucking on her teeth, she’s holding her emotions. she has control, she’s a professional. out of the room, she has full reign to be as mad with connor as she wants, which she does.

-AVA RAN INTO THE ROOM AGAIN WITH THE LAB COAT AND GLOVES AND IDK IT JUST HAS ME FEELING SOME KINDA WAY

- the way ava acknowledges everyone in the room (the nurse just informed them that the drug was running, ava nodded. just a little thing but yk)

- ava shaking her head at this sad, sad man (connor, who is floundering for a solution and misplacing his anger)

- their entire relationship is misplaced anger

- the fact that the last shot of the scene has connor in the foreground looking over the bed and ava watching from the door but ava is the one in focus - some cool cinematography points

- IS THIS THE EPISODE WHERE MAGGIE GOES TO JAIL

- med really went all over the place

- JUST THE AMOUNT OF CONCERN ON AVA’S FACE. im gonna say it again. look me in the eyes and tell this women is a psychopath. the med writers are fucking insane

- and when the parents ask ava if she disagreed with connor’s treatment decision, she has every opportunity (and right, frankly) to throw him under the bus and undermine him. but still, she says “it’s a complicated situation.” like. she never ever makes it personal, or loses her head. especially not to a patient. and she doesn’t have to defend connor. he’s made a lot of mistakes, and taken it out on her a bunch of times. yet she’s still nice to him, when he’s not even in the room

- it’s insane

- this is also the legendary scene where she comforts the family. there’s not a lot that i haven’t already said. this is the scene that most exemplifies ava’s humanity, the way she seems to feel, at least residually, what these parents are going through (since she obviously hasn’t gone through anything like this herself [unless.]). the way she kneels down, and gets on the family’s personal level.

- I... okay listen. I absolutely HATE the parallel they pull her between the line “I believe whenever you do something out of love, it can never really be wrong” and connor. especially because they show him when she says that line. and yeah, there’s obviously a connection that can be drawn between the meaning of that line and her sociopathic behavior in s4 and s5.

- it honestly feels like when writing s4, the writers hit so much of a wall they just googled the most ‘iconic’ ava moments and thought ‘how can i use these in the worst way possible?’ That’s honestly probably what they did (ava’s first interaction with connor - ‘you better watch yourself,’ this moment). There is no nuance to her character in s4. it is astoundingly terrible.

- lets move on

- THE WAY CONNOR LOOKS AT AVA HER MAKES ME FUCKING SCARED. HE HAS NO EMOTION ON HIS FACE. I know that we’ve been screen capping ava throughout this series but can someone find pictures of connor looking at ava bc, i need yall to remember how weird he looks

- like, no shade to connor, but just the emotion is undecipherable, but it is in no way a good one

- ava getting concerned (and looking slightly embarrassed) when she sees connor watching her by the door. obviously yeah she’s gonna feel weird you just caught her in a very uncharacteristic moment, outwardly expressing comfort. fucking back off

- i am so fucking protective of her and i demand he no longer look at her. it’s banned

- sam abrams looking at sarah’s dad’s head ct and asking if he’s a criminal. oh boy

- from a writer’s perspective, the storyline with sarah’s dad is actually pretty good

- ava ran into the room with gloves and lab coat again, if anybody wanted to know

- for the record, want it to be noted, ava was the one who realized that it was an issue with the machine again, so you could say she fixed connor’s mistake, again. so.

- connor making a big deal about handing the reins over to ava (if he really was selfless he wouldn’t have made a whole big thing, he still has an enormous hero complex)

- handing off control was very hard for him. boo hoo get some fucking humility I think they sell it at walgreens

- sarah fucking walking across the ed like she’s going to war. dramatic

- med really said pedophiles deserve rights with this ep huh

- anyway

- the way ava smiles

- the way she smiles when she turns him down. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT? SHE TURNED HIM DOWN. in the aspect of the story i cannot remember why she turned him down, but hey, i’m happy

- and it only further proves my story that the hook up came from a place of anxiety, and this is her realizing how silly that decision was. and her smiling was her laughing at herself for making such a stupid decision

- ALSO. LET’S TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THIS DECISION, THE DECISION TO TURN HIM DOWN, HAPPENED IN THE SAME EPISODE WHERE SHE SAID ‘IF YOU DO SOMETHING FOR LOVE, IT’S NEVER REALLY WRONG’

- like she literally says ‘last night was a mistake.’

- honestly, it’s fucking hilarious. connor deserves nothing

- and the confusion on his face when she walks away. hilarious

- if you wanted to take this the reesker route you could argue that the idea of ‘a decision of love’ was ava coming to terms with her slight little crush, though i don’t know how clean it would be if you argue that she panicked and told herself those were feelings meant for connor. idk, i’ll have to think about it further

- watching sarah let herself be betrayed by both herself and the people around in the story surrounding her dad will never not be hard to watch

This was a very good episode, character wise, for all the reasons stated above. It just hammers home the point of how strong a character Ava was. Key word, of course, being ‘was’. My conclusion over the last two episodes is that this specific sexual encounter with Connor was born out of a moment of anxiety from Ava. I suggest that over that last few weeks or days she has been experiencing some amount of anxiety out of having been living in Chicago for six months and only having one interpersonal relationship. So, that idea kind of built where she told herself the reason she only had one relationship was because she was in love with him. Then. after going through the story with this kid and comforting his parents, she realizes that she never actually loved Connor and maybe has a thing for someone else. I’m glad that I keep coming up with more ideas for this character, I was afraid the initial theory was somewhat of a one-off, but this only proves the idea of the complexity to Ava’s character.

I’m sure it’ll get worse from here, though.

dash is dead rn lol so i will contribute to waking the dash up again (hopefully) w a high tea date #7 (idk if u can tell but i'm very bored)

there's a lot of things i'm going to leave out purely bc i don't want to talk too much about my personal and private life so please just understand that before continuing - if we're close and i'm comfortable w u, i can give u the whole story privately but i don't think i will publicly

so without further ado,

i think person b is getting very impatient... like the way he's been texting me lately is like the very distant "i couldn't give two [redacted]s about u" etc etc - the way u text an acquaintance during a dry convo and u want it to end, yk??

but i see him at school and nothing seems out of the ordinary? he seems normal and it's like oh okay everything's okay but then after school and the only way we can maintain contact is through text, he like... i guess his heart turns off or something bc it's like he's a different person entirely

it's not even the way he was before (and before was mostly just me overreacting), it's like i'm... hm, i have really really really bad trust issues and me thinking about the worst-case scenario first doesn't really help - (it makes me think that he's just texting me to text me and he's really going behind my back and getting w someone else)

and ik this is bad and unhealthy and probably even toxic but it's just the way that i am and how my brain is wired?? (i've always made sure though not to let this affect him, i'd either keep this to myself or cry to y'all...)

and before i continue making myself look like a bad person, i'm just going ballistic (hence my post this morning lol) bc when i asked him ab it, he said he's been distant w me bc we don't get to do anything (as like a "couple" or whatever) and i've reminded him many times that my parents (and covid) are the reasons why we can't go on dates and stuff and he said that he understood (and i would understand if covid didn't exist or if he was just being sad that he didn't get to spend any time w me outside of school but when he lets it affect how he treats me, i just- no.) and that he could wait. there was this one time where i snapped and told him that i never asked him to wait for me and that there were plenty of other girls out there (esp at school) who are much better, prettier, smarter, etc than me and could give him everything that i never could and he would be like "but i want u" and the conversation would end there (bc what am i supposed to say to that??)

and like... i really want to scream bc i thought that things were going really well. there's not that many months of school left and college app season is almost over and maybe if people were more kind, covid would become of a lesser thing and i could feel safer going out to hang out w him (and w friends bc i haven't talked w them in a hot min)

but i'd feel horrible for asking him to wait longer - he's already been waiting since 8th grade (and granted, he did say he would wait) but still

i feel like i should call this the "am i the a-hole" series instead lol

also, 🍡 anon, i got ur message and u really helped me calm down - it's really such a shame that it was in vain bc we're just not communicating properly today lol, i'm very sorry

Part 1: Preparing for the worst

I did a POV zombie fanfic. There will be more parts, just have been too lazy to write anything. Craig's POV:

First day of my Senior year and I haven't even seen anyone from town in a week. Visiting my extended family in other states was so tiring. I sigh, wondering who would show their face to me first. Without a doubt it's Clyde, loudly calling my name seemed to call attention of the others.

" Craig! It's been a while man! What's up with the family?"

I shrug, not really wishing to tell them my grandma died. That shit was personal. " Nothing, but being in a car so long left my ass numb..." I could still feel the sting of numbness in my posterior.

Tweek just looked at me intensely and I gave in. " Yes?"

" You forgot to text me yesterday."

"NO!" Clyde gasped " Tell me it isn't true."

Token slapped him for me and I nodded my thanks.

" I fell asleep in the car, when I woke up my phone was dead."

" You left me on read." Tweek crossed his arms, here we go...

I sigh and try to cover up my shame for not replying " I fell asleep before I could finish the text. Ruby finally had shut up for once and I was tired. I don't know what else you want from me."

I must have done a shitty job with it as usual because I can't hide anything from him. Tweek tilted his head and shrugged. " Fine, j-just don't do it again." He huffed and took my hand, leading into the school. " We'll be late if we wait any longer."

That was way easier than last time, last time he accused me of being too busy for him. Whatever makes him happy.

First day goes by fast with introductions and those little 'Get to know you better' papers. Needless to say the only thing I disliked about it was the fact Kenny kept hitting on the younger years. He never means it, he just thinks it's funny to make them confused or blush. Tweek made lunch for us today. He says he'll start making lunch for us every day from now on. I had offered to help him, but he was determined to do it himself. Saying ' I want to suprise you with things dayly.' God damn I love him. His twitching never left him, but instead only happens once in a while per conversation. He stresses about things and it gets worse, but when that happens I'm always there for him. Clyde and Token chose to sit with Stan and his guys, suprisingly the girls are constantly inviting us to their tables. Not that I care much, as long as they don't hit on us. So far Tweek's fitting in with them, his new found sass about things is entertaining to say the least.

On the ride home Tweek sits next to me. " Did you see the way Butters looks at Ken?" Clyde chipped in from the seat infront of us. Dumb ass was on his knees looking over the seat.

" No, why? Is there another gay couple in South Park now?" Craig wondered how this would fair with the fan girls at the school.

" Kenny hasn't been seen kissing ANYONE for the whole SUMMER!" Clyde exclaimed. When was he not loud? Oh yeah, never. I cross my arms and Tweek just looks at Kenny and Butters, Kenny at the back of the bus and Butters up front.

" I don't see them ever interact though." Tweek sounded confused and aprehensive.

" I bet you they fuck." Clyde grinned and that earned a swift galre from Tweek. " We don't talk about those things, it's only going to make things worse for them if we spread rumors like that."

" He's right. Clyde sit down like a normal idiot." Token pulled him down onto the seat.

"Aww! No fair! I'm allowed to have my observations too!" He whined and pouted.

Getting off the bus was harder than usual, somewhere from Stan's place to my own Kyle and Cartman started fighting, they only got more agressive towards one another through the years. Kyle even taking Judo classes so when Cartman challenges him it doesn't take much of anything to knock his ass out. Cartman lost weight over the years, him and Clyde almost weighed the same now. That fact can never be said infront of Clyde however because he starts crying about it. When Kyle kicks him out of the bus and I get off, the bus heads off without Cartman.

" Dumb ass, you never learn to stop fucking with Kyle." I kick him in the side for good measure, then head inside. Red Racer sadly ended when I was sixteen, I have since then watched the whole series twice over from first episode to the last. Today's episodes were more of a filler episode than most. I zone out while watching five or six episodes, so much so I miss dinner and have to heat it up. Mac n' Cheese with Fishsticks and grean beans. Ah how American of them. I smile to myself as I eat the meal. Looking at the clock, it's almost seven. I sigh, at least it wasn't too late. I took my phone out. Three unread text messages, at least one of those was from Tweek. I open the ones from Clyde and Stan first. Tweek's message chills me a bit.

Tweek's POV:

What. What was that? I must have been seeing things, no, no I wasn't seeing anything. That was for sure what the news story was about. The screams of terror and dismay echoed. Zombies? Looking at my phone as I packed as many useful things as possible, I look on as Craig is texting me back finally. " Why do I need to get as much as food and supplies as possible? What's with the weapon reconmendations anyway? Are we playing again?"

" NO! THIS IS REAL!" I shouted as I typed up the same message. " I swear Craig, tell your dad you guys need to meet here at my place. I texted the others to do the same. I'm not kidding, zombies are real!" I scream to myself as I'm set into panic mode. My parents saw the same thing and are trying to get ahold of other parents they know.

" What kind of Zombies though? Like The Walking Dead zombies? Spore Zombies? Fast running ones?"

"WHY WOULD I KNOW THAT YET!?" I feel like this is a lost cause. I should have just told the guys and not the parents. I text him back, fumbling over my own fingers. " I dont know thy dont look like theyr runners."

" Hold on, I'm packing things. Do you think a compound bow is okay for this? I mean, besides that I have a bat."

" Take both, please be careful." I looked out my window as some of the other boys and the parents started for my house.

I get my stuff on, a hiking backpack that I had bought for camping full of useful things and head downstairs. Kids and parents piling in, some of them being made to go upstairs. The parents mainly talking about a plan. Randy seemed to be really into the idea that was being shared, but Sharron and most of the moms hate the idea. I creep my way to the door and flag down Craig as he heads over with his parents and sister Ruby. First thing he does is hug me. There is a time and a place Tucker! I groan and hug him back for a second before leading him inside. Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, Butters, Myslef and Criag were all together. Clyde, Token, Bebe, Wendy, Jimmy, and Timmy were across the room. The parents were seperating people into groups for travel. The noise the house was under made me shudder, I take a peek out of the window. Oh god. Oh jesus, oh god. No. The zombies were slowly approaching at a steady pace from the graveyard area. I can't say anything but I do manage an "AAAAUGH!"

Craig, bless him, looks out and in a deadpan voice says. " Oh, The Walking Dead zombies. Cool."

I want to strangle him for that but instead I end up making the whole place become on edge. They start ordering us out, this was apparently the plan. We were the B Team. Token, Clyde, Bebe, Wendy, Jimmy and Timmy were the A Team. They got the keys to my family's two cars and were sent off first with supplies. Jimbo supplied everyone with at least two guns. Team B, us, we're sent to both the neighbors houses Kyle won't leave Ike, so he's sent with us. Kyle, Ike, Stan and Cartman take the left. Craig, Kenny, Butters and myself took the right side. Thanks to the fact we're not slow as a group we get into the car. Craig takes the wheel and we're out of town within a few minutes. People I didn't know well in town, they were being eaten or trying to escape the madess. I just closed my eyes and curled up. Craig wouldn't allow me to sit in the back when we piled in, so I had a close up on what was happening. " Damn it... This car only has half a tank." Craig sighed , country roads hard to see, using the headlights on this thing wasn't working. " M-My mom and dad. They Euuggh- always have both tanks filled. Token and Wendy shouldn't have problems." I get a text. Why wouldn't I? Maybe all those movies and TV shows were wrong about the immediate cut of electronics. It was Clyde, thank goodness it was him!

" How are you guys holding up? Wanna meet at that weird off road gas station and talk? Maybe switch team mates? We have Jimmy and Timmy with us, I think both teams should have one. "

" Yeah, s-sure." I look up to Craig. " Clyde wants to meet at that Shell up the road a bit."

" Good, we can talk to them like normal people. Stupid parents..."

"Wait..." I look back at the phone. " Did you ask Jimmy about this?"

"Dude, Jimmy's the one who suggested it! He thinks Timmy should stay with me and Token and he should go to your team." Clyde's words meant he was serious.

At the gas station we made sure no zombies were around, the place was evacuated and there was still food, Token split up what he found between the groups. " Enough for both A and B teams. In case you guys run in with one another." Token was so calm, I wonder how he does it. I get a huge hug from Clyde who looked to be just freshly done with crying. " I'm going to miss you and Craig so much Tweek..." His voice... He was. Talking softly. Clyde. I hug him back and nodd. " We'll miss you guys too, but they sent us in teams for reasons." Token came over with Craig." I heard it was the best way for our survival."

Jimmy headed over from where he was talking to Butters. " BBButters and I ha-have made an agreement. I will svwitch places w-with him."

" I have no problems taking over for him." Butters was arguing with Kenny. " Don't you see it's unfit for them to have two people who can die easily?"

" YOU can die easily!" Kenny groaned and grit his teeth. " Why you though. Why do you have to go."

"Because Tweek and Craig shouldn't be separated."

"We shouldn't be separated Butters! I don't know what I'd do if you died on me." There was desperation in Kenny's voice.

" Then don't die on me, and I won't on you." He smiled and Kenny hugged him.

I bet Clyde couldn't help himself, because the dummy started wiggling his eye brows at me and making weird noises.

" Stop being this way Clyde..." I sigh. " What weapon did you pack, those guns should be a last resort."

" I have a whole thing of tools with me." Token said.

Clyde pulled out a knife. " It was the closest thing."

Butters showed he had a frying pan. " These things hurt real bad."

" It's not about pain it's bout destroying the brain." Clyde chipped in.

" Aww Hamburgers..." Butters kicked the ground with a scuffing noise.

" It's a good enough weapon." I nod in approval.

Craig had his bat on hand. " You already know what I have."

" I d-don't have any weapons but the gggun." Jimmy pointed out.

"Timmeh!" Timmy showed his hands.

" What did you bring Tweek?" Clyde was curiously eyeing him.

He went to the trunk and got out his sword. " I always have it sharpened. I also have a poison dart set I made myself and the ingredents for a few different kinds of explosives. I got them f-from a chemicle website."

I may have said something weird. Did I? Why were they looking at me like I was weird. I put my stuff away.

Craig came over and pat me on the head, something he does on occasion. " That's my boyfriend. Always ready."

I smile for what seems to be the first time tonight since the incident.

Stan's POV:

I take on the role of driver as Kyle uses a local and nationwide map and marks off where we came from and where we're going. Cartman is oddly quiet as he looks out the window and Ike is in his seat playing with one of Kyle's action figures. Not too many Zombies the way we're going, a few cars were on the side of the road, maybe a few accidents here or there, but nothing we couldn't handle. Being in a rush we completely forgot about our other half of our group. Man, I hope they chose a good route or at least something. They had gotten the text that Craig was the driver of the other car and that they had food and water if they could meet. Problem was, when they left in the direction they did, there was like a huge pile up that happened behind them. Not knowing where to go next Stan just started going through small towns.

Kyle took out his phone and called his mom. No answer was an answer on it's own. He got annoyed and turned it off to save battery. " I'm glad I packed these maps.."

"What else did ya pack Kehl?" Cartman had his usual inflection to his voice, but as far as Stan could tell it wasn't like he was taunting the guy.

" I packed four note books, writing utensils, a few books, maps of all over north america, and a chainsaw from my back yard. My dad got it, and never used it. Said it was too loud or some shit. I think I can mod it to be more quiet."

" I gotta go pee!" Ike whined.

" Pull over and let him pee, I'll keep watch." Kyle took out a dagger and Stan pulled over. Ike went right by the car as Kyle instructed and they were on their way in no time. A bed and breakfast was close to where they were and Stan hoped they could sleep tonight, they would need it.

" I think Wendy went this way Stan." Kyle pointed out the street sign that had a purple W and a yellow B on it. "Wendy and Bebe."

YES! Maybe we could sleep after all. I hope Wendy has secured the Inn.

Upon arrival to the Bed and Breakfast, they found cars parked in a manner resembling a fort wall. Wendy took aim at them with a rifle. "Who are you, what do you want, and when are you LEAVING."

Stan parked the car with the lights on so when the four of them got out Wendy could see them. " It's Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Ike. We wanna know if we could crash here. And we'll leave tomorrow."

" Oh you guys! We've been here for nearly an hour setting up." Bebe let them in. " We found a few loners, oh and Shelly."

Shelly was writing something in a book.

" We have room for tonight. I think Bebe and I will stay here, close to town, for a while."

" Yeah, predicting we have about four months of food rations."

" Craig and Token have more food, but they went East." Kyle stated as he lead Ike to one of the rooms that had a cracked open door.

Cartman took the room opposite of Kyle's.

" Stan, what do you think about the groups... Do you think we'll survive?" Wendy looked exausted. The way her hair... and her eyes... It was just... Damn she was hot when she was in charge like that. I had to stop looking at her before I vomited. " I-I think my group can survive, You and Bebe look to be doing fine already. Craig might come into some trouble, but I'm most worried about Token."

" We should have taken Timmy, damn it, I know!" She groaned and face palmed. " We weren't thinking Stan, we left both Jimmy and Timmy with Token and Cyle. Token can handle himself, Clyde is okay, but Jimmy and Timmy?"

I have to calm her down. " Maybe if we meet up with them in the future, we can see if they survived. If that's the case then, you can just ask if one of them wants to join you."

Wendy sighed. " Yeah, thanks. Go turn your car's lights off now..."

I just smile sheepishly and go to get the lights turned off and park the car within the barrier.

Kyle's POV:

Taking out some paper and a pen I start to write. " I think today was possibly the worst day of my life. I can't confirm it yet, but I think my mom at least is dead. She'd never leave a call from me hanging. Besides that, I'm in a group with Cartman. Cartman. God I hate writing that name." I use white out to take out the word 'Cartman' both times. "There, that's better. No more of that name here. I have to think about Ike now. He's far too small for this sort of thing, but it's not like we have a choice. I'm going to teach him how to shoot a gun soon. He needs to know." I sigh and look at my younger brother. " I swear I'll protect you, Ike." He kissed his sleeping head goodnight and turned off the bedside light to lay down for some rest. With Wendy on alert, we should be fine. I trust her.

It was the sun that woke him up, Ike was trying to read a big book. " Kyle! How do you wead... Paernora...."

"What?" I went over, the book was a study on the paranormal. " Oh, paranormal. Like what we thought Zombies were. It's mainly just hypothetical."

Ike tilted his head.

" Big 'What ifs.'" I explain.

" Oh!" He goes back to trying to read. He's going to be smart I think to myself as I look out the window. Stan is already up and helping Bebe with the rigging of barbed wire made from electrical chords.

" Smart move girls. " I say as I head outside, things all packed and Ike in tow.

" Thanks Kyle, you know you guys can stay here if you want. " Bebe offered. "Stan was a big help this morning."

" I think we should all have our separate things. Stan come on, we need to go before it gets too late."

Cartman comes out from his room, not packed and sloppy as hell. " Go get packed asshole we're leaving."

" EH! Don't call me an Asshole! I didn't even do anything yet!"

" Yeah, that's the point. GO PACK." Why do I even loose my temper so badly with him anyway, I used to be able to handle anything he said. Now I just want... No, I want it but I can't say what. That would be admiting to myself that I've givin in. I just glare at him as he mutters to himself and goes to pack.

Clyde's POV:

OMG! It's HAPPENING! Bunny bunny bunny bunny~ I giggle to myself as Butters and Kenny keep their embrace, the others are sorting out what to do and where to go. I mean I could listen in, but I don't want to. Not knowing where we're going is basically what an adventurer strives for. And in all honesty, I have to keep this an adventure because what it really is, is killing me inside. I'm left without my Bro and Tweek. It's not fair! Token treats me like a kid too, and while that's good in some cases like an extra juice box, it SUCKS in other cases! I hear my name and tune into their channel. " Clyde and I should trade places as well. I can't leave Butters."

No. Freakin. WAY! I looked at Tweek and Craig with my signature puppy dog eyes.

" Are you sure Kenny, we could need you man. You're crafty."

"They have Timmy, if Timmy's wheelchair gets broken or stops working for some reason. I can carry him. Clyde can't."

" No, you take Clyde." Tweek looked at me. " I think he's better off with you."

" Then I'm leaving you guys for Butters."

Craig frowned. " That's not even though. How will Tweek and I take care of Jimmy?"

I sigh. " It's okay. I'll stay with Token."

Token broke appart Kenny and Butters and took Butters to his car. Craig taking Kenny, who faught with him about it, back to thier car.

I take a last glance at my friends as we depart down a fork in the road. I hope Token has orange juice...
