Here are my two pieces of advice on askblogging in the nicest way possible(genuinely):

Think through if this is something you really want to do and what you want to do with the characters, weather it be an askblog like mine that does story events on occasion and mostly just askblogs and ints or story mained, really think about some of the things you want to do with your muses and story first before actually making the blog, do you just want to expand your writing? Do you just wanna have fun and write this muse? If so really think on why, do your research, analyze and such, really get to know the character, if its a story you want to tell: what's the end result? What are you hoping for wit this story? Do you want to write it for fun or to actually tell one? These questions might come off as odd but they are all genuinely important please keep these things in mind, this includes when you write too, think about this stuff beforehand, trust me it'll save you a lot of trouble.

Secondly, Don't rely so much on images to tell a story. This might be a bit of a hot take but i see a lot of story mained blogs mostly using sprites and only writing sentences and then calling that writing, that's tbh more dialogue than writing to me. Give descriptions, give thoughts, write feelings. Where are the characters rn? describe it. What are the characters thinking? What are they feeling? describe it, and actually think about what that character would be thinking or feeling. Do research, rewatch or replay moments with the characters, try to actually think about what they'd do, say, or think, it might sound like a waste but it really isn't. When you write well enough it feels you are writing the character accurately its very rewarding not only for you but for a reader, it shows you actually pay attention to the character and their story and that's a great skill to have as a writer in general.

Hey, if you don’t mind the question. What’s your opinion on Undertale Yellow?

8/10 game. pretty good at being a game, not so much at being an undertale story. the gameplay itself was fun, the area/puzzle designs too, the soundtrack was untouchable it literally gave me the same rush i felt hearing sburb initiation for the first time. minor NPCs designs were fun but the primary cast was too monotonous, tbh. (all the main characters have tall gangly very detailed designs save for like, axis). its attempts at landing Undertale's humor were quite often successful, but it held back on exaggeration and caricaturing its original characters which took away that oomph from the canon game. the character writing was... lacking. which is a pity.

i love fucked up women so i was really disappointed that every single one of ceroba's actions/ideas/influences on the story were nothing but an extension of her dead husband. when you take chujin away she's just... A Good Wife and Mother. or starlo's past love interest ig. i mean both dalv and martlet's backstory were tied to her family and we never see them interact at all. but they do have an established dynamic.... with the dead husband. again. UGH. she's just really wasted as a character (she and chujin should've BOTH been scientists and she should've continued the project AGAINST his wishes after he died. she's the main cast character, she should be the driving force in the narrative, not him—even if chujin sets the plot in montion by inventing the serum first).

I'm not a huge asgore fan—not that i dislike him, he's just not a character i care about all that much—so congrats to this game for making me say "he would NOT fucking say that". the "fuck the royals" subplot thing was really unnecessary. actually, that was a bit of a recurring thing in the game. suddenly introducing these Huge Social Dilemmas like labor exploitation, anti-monarchic sentiments, misogyny (bro who on earth "needs to take a wife" this is Undertale) everyone realizing that clover is a child, over exaggerating the violence at stake... while also attempting to maintain Undertale's careless, bouncy treatment of the situation. that's... not how things work. undertale is able to maintain its light tone BECAUSE it doesn't let you take those topics seriously, they're not meant to be. the fairytale-like king, the battles, the child protagonist, they're all set dressings for the REAL story and REAL power imbalance it wants to highlight: that between player and game characters. everything is in function of that. you take that layer of separation and make everyone aware that theyre violently attacking and killing a literal child... that's not. a good thing dude. if it's not gonna impact the tone of the story, why acknowledge it in the first place? it's just unnecessary

anyway flowey neutral run was really, really fun. his dialogue writing all throughout the game was very solid and i had a blast having him around. however, they shouldn't have tried to anticipate his character development. this game is a prequel, you can't do that without undermining his arc in the canon events. pacifist should've had him doubling down on his frustration from the neutral ending. i do all this work for you keeping you alive and you make the same mistake i did sacrifice yourself for them??? are you BRAINDEAD???? what I'm saying is he basically should've thrown the biggest tantrum of his LIFE. oh and in the NM run he should've been terrified when he lost control of the SAVE file. this is the first time it's ever happened to him and now he's gonna die for good. he wouldn't have gloated like he did.

if you want to hear more criticism along the lines of what i said then this post by the fantastic @andreabandrea covers a lot of what i also felt during the game. i know this might sound like a lot of negativity, but the fact remains that UTY was an absolutely phenomenal work of fan creativity the likes of which we have never seen before in the fandom. considering the quality and polish, i thought it only fair to approach it as the piece of art it is and give it my genuine thoughts on the matter.

overall, still a really fun way to spend the afternoon with a pal. so. thumbs up

She and Chu Hsi get to have the most shoujo fuckin' romance because it's cute

and she's still a living drawing which I'm changing around a bit being why she felt like a "weirdo" and leaned towards subcultures and the turtles, she did eventually begin to destabilize but Venus stabilized her by trapping her in a scroll so she could work on a solution. ...where she has a long, happy relationship with Chu Hsi in the painted world scroll because lol time dilation

DESIGN CHANGE - TRIPOD TO QUADPOD

so basically VUJN is this 11ft MONSTROSITY.

Currently still hammering the deets.

current backstory;

it goes the same as ep 2 all the way up to the final bit where uzis railgun gets tricked away from her.

instead of just tossing it aside, she snaps the thing in half, before promptly pinning Uzi with a giant paw thing and...well. Crunchy.

Immediately after N comes out of nowhere , J kabobs him and goes for his core too, biting his chest and slurping it out. before promptly consuming both bodies.

V's inclusion;

The errors occur directly after consuming N and Uzi, and it makes her need d-drone mass. So she goes for V. And inside of J-pedes internals, the cores merge.

The merged cores force their way through J-pedes insides and to her own core connectiuons, where they promptly absorb her into the amalgamation.

With the genocide of nearly all the other worker drones [havent decided who to spare] Jdrone implodes upon itself, becoming abunch of solver flesh before finally emerging as VUJN.

Its kinda like CyN inthefact each mind is separate, but forced together and cannot escape.

Idol!Nightmare’s MT.Trio’s design

Ever since I’ve seen that i!Nightmare canonically collabs with the MT!Trio I wanted to make this design :3 (just in case anyone needs to know this is my fanon design)

Now me rambling about how I made this design below:

Honestly making the actual design was easy- the only hard part was c o l o r i n g. I mean like picking the colors to make everything fit nicely (tbh I hate myself for changing the boots from the shiny black boots 😔😔). you kinda get why it would be hard to make the colors look good when cyan (i!nm’s main design color) and red (MT.Trio’s main color) are literally on the other side of the color wheel. I had a vague vision of some parts of his design like just switching the dark blue to red, and making his jacket a lighter color. But the one thing I didn’t think about were those darn boots- I first thought I’d keep them black just like in his regular design buuut I soon realized that it looked too muddy and dark in the bottom of his design with the dark cape, so I made the boots a light red- but that also meant the boots lost their shine 😔💔💔

now that I look at the flat colored drawing I realize how many unnecessary gradients I made- (for example the boots could have just stayed that light red shade without adding the darker red)- but it’s fine ig-

Um funny thing- this wasn’t supposed to become a half rendered drawing but it happened-? I mean it looks good but this took like almost two hours when it could’ve only taken 1 hour

I didn't really like this arts, but still... btw I drew it while listening to the "Seventeen" by Marina. Both Bi Han and Smoke kin this shit ig!

It seems to me that I did not reveal my thoughts at all in the drawings. I like to think that Bi Han dislikes (too big a word for me tbh) Tomas not just because "we are not of the same blood" or "my father made me suffer, so suffer you" but rather because he has many factors that I can develop them as much as I want? I like to think that he has a huge burden of responsibility, for people, for the clan, for himself, for the lives and deaths of others, for saving face, that of his own, that of the clan. I like to think how he wants to get rid of all this, but he knows that he can't and knows that this responsibility has been on him since the moment he was born. while Kuai Liang or the even Tomas were children, he was already an adult simply because he was born earlier, just because it happened. I like not to like Bi Han (I'm neutral towards him!..) and and even if I misunderstood him, understand him.

When I first gave Smoke a lot of scars from Bi Han (as a headcanon), I never even thought about how exactly he got them. and even more so, my thought was more like, "Would Bi Han have done that?" but then I remember Kuai Liang. Then the thought "Well, Kuai Liang, okay, they are of the same blood. What's about Tomas?" and to be honest, I don't know! ngl I don't know a lot about mk and characters, but I don't want to make Bi Han perfectly pure (as some of his fans do, God forbid.../nm) but I also don't want to see a villain in him, or rather, I just can't see this villain in him. Maybe it's just because I don't want to start feeling negative towards him, which, in my opinion, he didn't really deserve?

… and also when I draw Tomas and Bi Han together, I always want to portray Smoke as sweetly good so that Bi Han would feel sick right away. I should have said that I'm just a fan of Smoke and Scorpion, rather than start reading morals about how bad Bi Han fans are (I didn't say that!)
