Tier 1: THE suitors. I love them a bit too much and I wanna just rhhajgdhsghadgdsgRAHHHH you know what I mean. Theodorus was kinda a jumpscare in there, though. I was expecting to hate his route but I was smitten

Tier 2:

Arthur has a bit of bias since he was my first route but... you know.

William Dazai and Mozart are all in the same level of "oh way i didnt mind those routes too much." I also was obsessed with William when I first saw him.... he actually got me into the game....

Still going through Vlad's but it's so melodramatic it's fun. Also he's just a silly little guy.

Tier 3: With all of them it's the same story: I like them better when I'm not dating them... Like, it makes me wish for friendship routes almost haha.

Tier 4:

I love Vincent. One of my favorites. I love him in game. He was actually a huge inspo for me when I was young, too. He's my angel baby boy I love him I'd let him cook me anything. That being said... I'm not sure how happy I am about Vincent's mental illnesses in game being so underplayed. Like.... him cutting his ear off is one of the biggest things people know about him irl... and it's not even mentioned? Not even Gaugin is blamed for it?? Personally I have so many hcs about Vincent that he's almost a whole new character. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy ingame Vincent I love him but yk... I don't mind the others either....

Everything I said about Vincent, put that on Jean and double it (even the part about young me looking up to them). I'm sorry but CHANGING THE GENDER OF JOAN OF ARC??? doesnt,, doesnt that defeat the whole.... urggh yeah that one irked me for a while. HOWEVER. If you're big brain like me and hc Jean as transmasc then Jean becomes the best pookie bear in the world. He's so autistic coded (I'm autistic so I may just be projecting) and I love him so much. He's also a silly pookiebear.

many things about the chronicles of Narnia made me irrevocably insane at the small age of six years old but one of the big ones was the bit in prince Caspian where caspian blows susan's horn to try and summon help and it summons the pevensie kids like. that's crazy ok. that's insane. imagine at 12 years old you're given a horn thats purpose is basically summoning divine intervention & then years later someone blows it and summons YOU . is this a safe space to admit i really don't even like the lines in lucanis' first romance scene where he says something like "perfectly gathered clouds of doom" . but that does not stop me from loving him very much. i'm choosing to see this as a guy who is the terrible combo of reads romance novels, has never had a romantic relationship before AND his definition of 'good flirt' is synonymous with 'illario' so he's got an incorrect definition of what's actually romantic. the less lucanis is specifically trying to be romantic the more he becomes irresistible but i don't think he's caught onto that yet

popping in randomly after almost an entire month just to talk non stop about the tsaritsa again everyone sit down.

specifically just thinking about the implications of tsaritsa's ideals originally being about love + the abandonment of those ideals to complete her goal of, presumably, destroying Celestia or whatever she's cooking up. to the point even her people don't love her and I probably don't even remember a time her ideals were of love. now it's all just ice and snow and cold.

which makes romantic fics w her even funnier because she's purposely removed this part of herself and suddenly reader walks into teyvat like they own the place (they do) and I can only imagine her reaction. angry, probably. because why you? what are you doing to her that's caused her hundreds of years of strict adherence to rejecting "love" both from others and to others to just. collapse. absolute shattering of her world and you probably don't even know it bc if nothing else she's good at hiding it. a lot of denial. tries to pick you apart and see what's makes you so different.

and oh she just hates it. she loathes it.

basically one sided enemies to lover trope because she can't stand you for a while but if you stick around she starts warming up to you and it makes it WORSE. so much worse. tries to distance herself but your just everywhere and it gets on her nerves because why does she love you? she isn't capable of love, not anymore. she thought she was.

g-d forbid one of the harbingers or PIERRO notices she'd never live it down. might even consider the implications of just killing you (she doesnt). worse if you know about it and act like a brat she will lose her damn mind

just the tsaritsa being an absolutely horrible mess internally.

The moment you start throwing around a slur as a genuine insult you are no longer reclaiming it. Reclaiming a word involves referring to yourself with it in a positive manner, using it to spread community and trying to remove the feelings of shame around it. If you are using it as an insult you are not fucking reclaiming it, you are just using a slur.
