op this is how you make a lich. what have you done
This may be too supernatural for an actually pretty down to earth show that is dbda (when it comes to magic, abilities and power scaling), but I'd have a blast seeing the plot point of Edwin's soul's capability to be used for obtaining magical power make a comeback
What would be even cooler is if it was Edwin himself who became interested in using that power
I can see him researching what devices can be used for it, do they have to always inflict pain on him to work and if yes, then how far is he willing to go in order to get it
He'd never use it for any malicious purposes or to just possess power for power's sake, he'd use it in extremely dire situations, when he really needs a certain spell to be amplified in order to rescue Charles from danger
Which brings me to the obvious angst potential of Edwin hiding the pain, lying about the source of the amazing power and then ofc Charles finding out and oh
(It'd introduce more magic and actual combat power for the boys - which is actually the opposite of what the show is about, I know, aside from a wild use of Crystal's vast abilities, they really make a good job at showing that the boys were just normal humans (and now ghosts) who predominantly use their wits and knowledge gathered throughout the many years of being on Earth, so I wouldn't even expect them to go this direction (if they actually mention Edwin's soul's power ever again), but it's just a very fun concept to me)
#read the first few sentences and was like UH OH#except this is a very unique lich-adjacent situation where A) the magic user is already dead B) the magic user is a#strange wizard-making-himself-a-sorcerer kind of thing which is. actually an extremely interesting concept if putting it in a dnd context#a wizard forcibly turning himself into a sorcerer basically. that’s neat. and also horrifying#but yeah I imagine ghosts are not nearly as stable as living humans when it comes to corruptability– and on top of that edwin’s got so much#potential power in him that one wrong move or one step too far and I think he could destroy himself instantly#though what’s more likely and more interesting is- like op says- him getting more and more interested in utilizing his own power and#slowly but surely getting carried away- more invested in results than his own safety. at that point the only person who could save him would#absolutely be charles- because no one else would be able to say ‘I need you– weren’t we supposed to be together no matter what? we won’t be#if you lose yourself or wipe yourself off the face of the earth’#or something of the like#very good angst potential mmm#I don’t think the basic concept is too supernatural for the show tbh and it seems quite in character for him#especially right after the events of the s1 finale. the trauma of being used like that and helpless despite it being HIS power she was#extracting + being supposedly so powerful and not being able to use that to save niko. when it mattered most. + some protective/preventative#tendencies spiraling a bit into the extreme after the literal worst thing that could possibly happen to him– being dragged back to hell–#just happened and Yeah the night nurse and her superior say that he’s sanctioned to stay on earth but the night nurse ALSO reassured him#right before he was dragged to hell so how is he supposed to trust that? how is he supposed to feel safe ANYWHERE? what if this time instead#of just running he was prepared? what if he could Kill that fucking babydoll demon for good?#you can see why this train of thought would drive him maybe a little bit mad#so many threads from s1 could connect to this idea very very feasibly imo fr fr fr#ughghh hey show writers can we just. can we just get in the writers room please. we have ideas#rambling#edwin

oh yeah, i think it's important to differentiate between the ideas of a "jewish ethnostate" and a "jewish homeland", as a jew myself especially --
of course we deserve a place where we feel safe, a place that puts emphasis on caring for us and not treating us like dirt. but that is not the same as a place that allows ONLY us to be there. (and we are talking about a mass of land, not an affinity club or anything -- we're talking about somewhere people live. who gets to be a part of it is not something you should be policing on lines of race or religion.) we have no right to lay claim to land and force other people out of it. we have no right to a jewish ethnostate.
"oh but if there are any non-jews in our land they'll treat us badly like they always have!!!" no, that's just cynical nonsense. if anything, you're letting the antisemites win by agreeing with the omnipresence of their bigotry. yes, tons of people have been horrible to us. that won't get better by running away from them and hurting other people in the process.
also, it is very worthy of note that jews and their ancestors have lived in palestine, for a great portion of history in fact, but were conquered multiple times by multiple empires and expelled to the diaspora. of course jews want to live in palestine! of course! but palestinians are just as indigenous to the land as we are -- we have absolutely NO right to kill them and kick them out and say it isn't their home (which is exactly what so many empires did to us, in the same land no less).
endorsing zionism and anti-palestinian rhetoric, as a jew, is hypocritical, cruel, and wrong. let palestine be free, as they (and we) deserve to be. they are facing the same terrors we have; let us stand with them.

Gamer ellie x female reader !
Tumblr media
A/n: had this idea awhile back because I love gamer Els the idea is just amazing because I know she'd be a hard-core gamer. I too game but not in the way I know she would. Anyways I kinda dunno how I feel about this, I was lacking near the end with creativity but I hope you guys enjoy :)
Summary: the challenge wasn't easy, but could you resist your hot girlfriend ? Spoiler alert no
Warnings: COCKWARMING !! Soft dom Ellie. Sub reader, teasing, pet names, slight orgasm denial ??? Mdni ! And I think that's it
Masterlist
Her strap was deep inside you as you sat on her lap, your back against her front. Ellie had been gaming all day long, and truth be told. You missed her. So when she had the bright idea of the little challenge, how could you say no? She gently grabbed your face, rubbing her thumb across your cheek and says. "Go get my strap, I have a little test for you." It only intrigued you more. I mean, ofcourse you were going to get it but what possibly could this test be. As you came back over to give it to her she did what she needed to, getting back under the small blanket she had draped along her lap. She lifts it signaling for you to come sit. As you go over, in nothing but her t-shirt and underwear. You sit, in the position you're in currently. It grazing your walls.
"You're going to keep it in there ok? No protests no struggling. Keep your eye on the game, think you can do that?"
That was the challenge/test. And so far you thought you were doing pretty well. You were playing the game with ease, you found this challenge hardly challenging. But this was Ellie ofcourse she was going to make it harder for you. She leans back on the bed, resting her hands on the sheets, as she bucks her hips swiftly. Your eyes widen, making your breath hitch as you feel it move inside you, it only makes you mess up on the game. "Careful mama." You swallow, not only at the name but at every little thing she's doing right now. The strap feels as if it was deeper, she could feel the exact same thing. "Els.." She hums as you say that, only making your brain go fuzzy. "Don't struggle baby... remember what I said." Your eyes close, only for a second, remembering what she had said.
You open them again and look at the TV. Going to move the joystick on the controller. It was getting harder to focus as she fucks up into you, again. You let out a small moan, trying so hard not to make any noises. Your head turns slightly to look at her, she had a sly smirk on her face looking right at you. The next look she gave you made you instantly look back at the TV, you had to stay strong. Knowing exactly what she was up to. The neediness was increasing, you could feel it. Focusing was far from your mind right now. "Ellie." There was a silence. "Focus baby. Know you can." You didn't know why but you were starting to feel slightly frustrated. "Ellie i cant-" you breathe out, closing your eyes again. What on earth did you agree to. "Yes you can, youre doing so well." The praise goes straight to your head, resulting in you letting out a small moan. Wanting to move yourself on her strap. "Ellie please." You whine out. And she won. Making her smirk grow. She knew you'd lose this, she knew all along.
"This isn't fair.." You let out more breaths beginning to move, but she stills your hips. Letting out a tut. "The game isn't over pretty girl." You roll your eyes, swiveling on the strap, shocking her slightly as you push her down on the bed. "You're a dick." You say leaning to kiss her, wanting to wipe the growing smirk off her face. Knowing what you had just said boosted her ego more. She gladly kisses back, feeling you move on her strap. "Fuck you're hot." She mumbles against your lips, hungrily kissing you. Her hands move to your ass, lifting your her shirt up a tiny bit. As you keep the pace you could feel yourself getting tired, still with the same need as before. She notices this going to flip the two of you over. "Getting tired princess?" She lets out a small chuckle but you're too out of it to argue, letting out a small groan. And without any warning she thrusts deep and hard.
Earning a loud moan from you as you awaited her to move inside you for what felt like forever. "Oh my god-" You let out. She goes to your neck going to suck a purple mark, keeping her thrusts consistent. You could feel yourself getting closer to that amazing feeling when out of nowhere she stops inside you. "Thought I was going to go easy on you sweetheart?" You stare at her with your mouth hung open in shock, letting out another small whine. "Ellie." You wriggle underneath her, desperate for her movements. She just shakes her head. "Did you not just call me a dick a minute or two ago? Hmm?" Her tone was soft, nearly taunting. As she goes close to you ear, feeling her warm breath, sending shivers down your spine. "Y-yes-" She moves her face once you speak. "Well then, that wasn't very nice huh." At this point you weren't in the right mind to fight this. "Please Ellie please I need you so bad, I need you to fill me up so good." You blab, only for her to shut you up with a deep kiss. "Good girl, that's what I like to hear." You had to admit whenever she got like this it was insanely attractive and it only heightened your arousal. "Gunna keep being good and cum for me?" You nod, biting your lip as she begins to thrust into you again. "Words angel." "Yes." She smirks at you, speeding up a tiny bit more.
You felt it approaching quickly once again, having that knot tighten soon after, releasing with a loud moan. Her thrusts begin to slow just letting you get through your orgasm before she fully stops, pulling out of you and bringing your slightly shakey form into her chest. You try to catch your breath feeling more out of it then you were before. Everything was still and quiet. "That was a fun game." She blurts out, resulting in a small laugh from none other than you. "For you?" She then lays on her back. "You loved it." She states. You smile at her, going to crawl to lay on her, feeling genuinely exhausted. "Get some rest my love. I think I wore you out." You reply with a small hum, letting your eyes close, drifting into a deep sleep.

Drow noble who's grappiling with the knowledge that she's falling for a very much not-drow person. Good lord it's a man, too. The whole surface men thing is really fucking with her. Thank you!
yes omfg i love writing drow reader aha
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Gale:
As a noble drow, sworn to the spider queen, your world had always been one of rigid power structures, ambition, and ruthless cunning. Emotions—particularly love—were seen as weaknesses, and the idea of falling for anyone, let alone a surface dweller, was unthinkable.
Worse still, Gale of Waterdeep, the very man you found your thoughts continually drifting towards, was the antithesis of everything you had been raised to value.
He was human. A surface dweller. And a man.
You grappled with this knowledge constantly, the war between your upbringing and the unsettling warmth that had begun to take root in your heart. Drow society would scoff at such weakness. Lolth herself would probably strike you down for even entertaining such an idea. Gale was kind, intelligent, and often annoyingly optimistic—traits that would be ridiculed among your people. And yet… despite everything, you couldn’t stop thinking about him.
It was madness. He was nothing like the cruel, power-hungry individuals you had grown up around. Surface men were meant to be tools, meant to be used and discarded, certainly not respected. And yet, here you were, losing yourself to the idea of him.
Your thoughts churned as you sat quietly on a rock overlooking your camp. The surface was unsettling in its own way—the endless sky, the open space. It made you feel exposed, vulnerable, and yet, it was also freeing in ways you had never anticipated. Still, this love—or whatever it was—felt too dangerous, too uncontrollable.
You let out a long breath, trying to reason with yourself, when movement in the distance caught your eye. Gale was walking across the camp with his usual absentminded grace, his nose buried in a scroll as he meandered through the grass. You couldn’t help the way your gaze lingered on him—his messy brown hair catching the sunlight, his deep focus on whatever arcane theory had captured his mind this time. There was something calming about his presence, even if he was completely oblivious to the world around him.
Just as the thought crossed your mind, Gale tripped. His foot caught on a protruding tree root, and in the blink of an eye, he was sprawling forward, landing face-first in a particularly muddy patch of earth with a muffled thud.
You sighed audibly, feeling a mix of frustration and exasperation bubbling up inside you. Of course, this was the man who had somehow found his way into your heart—this clumsy, absentminded wizard who seemed more likely to trip over his own robes than navigate the world with any semblance of grace.
You could almost hear the cruel laughter of the other drow nobles if they ever saw this, and yet… despite it all, despite his ridiculousness, you felt something warm unfurling inside you.
Without even realizing it, a small smile tugged at the corner of your lips as you watched him push himself up from the mud, wiping dirt from his face with a bewildered look. He glanced around sheepishly, trying to see if anyone had noticed his less-than-dignified fall. His eyes found yours across the distance, and he gave a half-embarrassed, half-amused shrug as if to say, "Well, that happened."
You shook your head slightly, muttering under your breath, “Idiot.”
But even as the word left your lips, there was no bite to it, no disdain. No, that was your idiot over there, bumbling through life with his mismatched socks and his endless passion for the mysteries of the Weave. As much as you wanted to deny it, to cling to the harsh, unforgiving rules of your upbringing, you knew the truth now. You were falling for him—maybe you had already fallen.
It was absurd. He was absurd. And yet, despite everything, you couldn't help but love him.
You rose to your feet, dusting off your armor as you made your way toward him. His eyes lit up with that familiar sparkle of affection and curiosity as you approached, but you could still see the streak of mud across his face, and it only deepened the exasperation you felt for him.
“You couldn’t watch where you were going?” you asked, your tone dry but laced with affection.
Gale chuckled softly, sheepishly brushing more dirt from his robes. “Ah, well, you know me. Too many thoughts in my head, not enough attention to the ground beneath my feet.”
You narrowed your eyes at him but couldn’t stop the small smile that played on your lips. “You’re hopeless.”
He gave a charming grin, wiping the last of the mud from his face. “Perhaps. But I’m your hopeless mess.”
There it was again—that warmth, spreading through your chest and settling deep inside you. The part of you that had been molded by Lolth’s cruel teachings wanted to scoff, to walk away, but the larger part of you—the part that had grown stronger since you left the Underdark—wanted to stay. Wanted to be with him.
You sighed again, shaking your head. “Yes, you are.”

Astarion:
The undercurrents of tension in the camp were subtle but undeniable, a silent hum that hung between you and Minthara. The evening had crept in, the flickering of the campfire casting long shadows on the ground as you sat across from her, the crackling flames making her eyes gleam with a mischievous edge. You’d been grappling with a strange sensation lately—one that didn’t sit well with you. It was as foreign as it was unnerving, this pull toward Astarion. A weakness, you told yourself. A distraction.
And yet, there it was.
Minthara’s lips curled into a knowing smirk as she watched you, her sharp eyes never missing a thing. The tension between the two of you had thickened ever since you’d let it slip, in some small, unguarded moment, that Astarion had started to mean something to you. She had, of course, latched onto it immediately.
"That pale elf of yours," she drawled lazily, leaning back on her elbows as her smirk widened. "He’d make a fine concubine, wouldn’t you say?"
You stiffened, your hands tightening around the ornate handle of the goblet you held. She said it so easily, as if Astarion’s value was something she could weigh and measure, as if he was a trinket, an adornment. You should have agreed with her. The logical, Lolth-sworn part of you should have seen it the same way—a useful tool, a possession to command.
But that thought twisted in your gut, and before you could stop yourself, a fierce protectiveness surged through you.
"Don’t," you snapped, your voice low and cutting, sharper than you intended. You felt your eyes narrow as you glared at Minthara. "He’s not a toy for you to play with, Minthara."
Minthara’s reaction was instant—an arched eyebrow and a slow, creeping smile that made your skin prickle. She was enjoying this far too much.
"Oh, have I touched a nerve?" she teased, her voice a velvet purr. "Could it be that our cold-hearted noblewoman has fallen for her vampiric elf?"
Her words twisted inside you, and you hated how easily she could see through your carefully crafted walls. This was a weakness, wasn’t it? Astarion was a tool, an asset. But the thought of reducing him to something so simple made you feel… wrong. And now, here was Minthara, teasing you with the very thing you couldn’t admit to yourself.
Before you could muster a response, you heard soft footsteps behind you. Astarion sauntered over with his usual grace, his movements smooth and calculated, his smirk as ever-present as the shadows that clung to him. He stopped beside you, a curious look flickering in his eyes as he glanced between you and Minthara. He could sense the tension—he always could.
"Well, well, what have I stumbled into this time?" Astarion drawled, his voice lilting with amusement as he folded his arms across his chest. "I do hope I’m not interrupting anything too… serious."
Minthara’s eyes gleamed with wicked amusement as she looked at you, silently daring you to act. Here was your chance—your chance to prove you hadn’t fallen for him. To show that you were still in control, that Astarion was nothing more than a useful asset, a distraction to be managed, not embraced.
But you didn’t rise to the bait.
Instead, without thinking, you reached for Astarion and pulled him close, wrapping your arms around him in a possessive, protective embrace. The gesture startled him, and for a brief moment, you could feel the tension in his body as if he wasn’t sure how to respond. But then his arms slipped around your waist, holding you with a surprising tenderness, his face nuzzling into the crook of your neck.
Minthara’s smile grew wider, her amusement clear as day.
"Ah, I see," she said softly, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "You have fallen for him. How adorable."
You felt a heat rise in your chest, a flush of both anger and embarrassment. Your grip on Astarion tightened, and you pointed a sharp finger at Minthara, your voice firm as you growled, "Go away, Minthara."
She chuckled softly, clearly pleased with herself.
"As you wish," she purred, rising to her feet with all the grace and confidence of a predator who knew exactly when to let her prey simmer.
She sauntered off into the shadows, leaving you and Astarion standing by the fire. The air between you felt heavy, your heart pounding in your chest as you clung to him, still not entirely sure what had possessed you to act so… openly. So vulnerably.
Astarion, for his part, seemed to enjoy it. His lips brushed your ear as he whispered, "You do realize how fascinating you are when you’re all… possessive like that. Quite unexpected from someone of your upbringing." He pulled back slightly, his crimson eyes locking onto yours, a sly grin playing on his lips. "Dare I say, it’s rather endearing."
You scowled, pushing him away gently, trying to regain some semblance of your usual composure.
"Don’t get used to it," you muttered, but the heat in your face betrayed you.
Astarion chuckled, his voice low and warm. "Oh, darling, I’ll cherish every moment of it."

Wyll:
The midday sun cast long shadows across the camp, where the sounds of practice swords clashing and the grunts of exertion filled the air. Your sharp, calculating gaze swept over the scene as you leaned against a tree, arms crossed in feigned disinterest. Wyll, the Blade of Frontiers, was at the center of it all, effortlessly guiding a group of refugees through rudimentary combat drills. His movements were precise, his words gentle yet firm as he corrected their stances and offered encouragement. It was a sight you should have found ridiculous, even pathetic. Yet you found yourself watching him—again.
The warmth of the sun felt like a strange, foreign thing on your skin, much like the warmth blooming inside you as you watched Wyll in action. He was so good—too good. Too moral. Too heroic. Everything you had been taught to despise in someone. Everything Lolth had warned you against. He was the antithesis of what a Lolth-sworn drow noble should admire.
And yet, here you were, your gaze lingering on the strong lines of his frame as he moved with that effortless grace that came from years of discipline. Wyll was just so… frustratingly kind. A champion of the downtrodden, always putting others before himself, always ready to leap into action to save those in need.
It was foolish. Self-sacrificing. Weak.
But that didn’t stop the traitorous flutter in your chest whenever he smiled, that disarming, earnest smile that made you feel things you shouldn’t—things that no drow noble should ever entertain. Lolth would never forgive you if she knew how easily you were falling for someone like him. A surface-dweller, no less. A folk-hero.
It was unthinkable.
Your grip tightened on your arms as you fought the feelings stirring within you. Weakness, you told yourself. This was nothing more than a fleeting distraction. Something to be controlled, suppressed, forgotten.
And then, as if sensing your gaze, Wyll turned his head toward you, catching your eye from across the camp. For a split second, your heart leapt into your throat, panic rising as you realized you’d been caught staring. His eyes lit up with that familiar warmth, and before you could even think to look away, Wyll smiled—one of those charming, roguish smiles that made your chest ache.
To your horror, he blew a playful kiss in your direction.
Your heart stuttered, your breath hitching in your throat as you felt a rush of warmth flood your face. It was a simple gesture, innocent even, but the effect it had on you was devastating. Your mind raced, torn between the instinct to glare at him, to scold him for being so foolish, so open—and the overwhelming urge to smile back, to let your guard down, to surrender to the inexplicable joy his presence brought you.
Lolth forgive you.
You bit down hard on your lower lip, forcing yourself to turn away, to tear your gaze from Wyll’s infuriatingly charming face. Your heart was pounding now, your mind racing with thoughts that should have been buried.
How could this happen? How could you be so enchanted by someone like him? He was everything you should despise, yet here you were, betraying everything you’d been raised to believe.
Wyll had gone back to his training, unaware of the storm he had ignited inside you. You pressed your hand to your chest, feeling the rapid beat of your heart beneath your palm. The emotions you were grappling with—this strange, all-consuming pull toward him—were getting harder and harder to ignore.
You were a drow. You were supposed to be strong, calculating, superior. Love—true love—was a weakness, a vulnerability that Lolth herself had warned you against. And yet… Wyll’s goodness, his decency, was like a light in the darkness you had grown so accustomed to. He made you feel like you could be something more, something beyond the cold, ruthless confines of drow society.
And that scared you.
As you stood there, lost in your thoughts, you realized with a sinking feeling that you were already in too deep. You could no longer deny the truth, no matter how hard you tried. You were falling for Wyll, and there was nothing you could do to stop it.
The question was: What would you do about it?
Would you embrace this unfamiliar, terrifying feeling? Or would you push him away, burying these emotions beneath the weight of duty and tradition, as you had been taught?
For now, you stayed rooted to the spot, watching him from a distance, unable to look away for long. You’d never admit it out loud, but in that moment, you knew.
Wyll wasn’t just a distraction.
He was your undoing.
And perhaps, just perhaps, that wasn’t such a terrible thing.

Halsin:
The campfire crackled softly in the evening air, casting shadows across the clearing. The night had grown quiet, the refugees settled into their makeshift shelters, and the others in your party tending to their own business. But you—your mind was in turmoil.
You sat alone at the edge of the camp, your arms wrapped tightly around yourself, as if trying to ward off the whirlwind of emotions surging inside. You were a drow, a noble Lolth-sworn drow at that. You were raised in the darkness, taught to be ruthless, cunning, and strong. Yet here you were, grappling with something you had never expected, never wanted, and certainly never prepared for.
Halsin.
The very thought of his name sent a wave of frustration through you. He was everything you should despise—everything your kind was raised to reject. A creature of the earth, a druid who worshipped balance and life, someone who saw beauty in the natural world where you saw only the chaos of survival. He was gentle and kind, especially to the refugees you had originally deemed insignificant. His heart was far too soft for a world like this. And yet, it was that heart that had somehow wormed its way into your own.
You caught sight of him in the distance, helping a family reinforce their shelter. His tall, broad form moved with ease as he offered his strength to those in need, his calm voice carrying through the camp. You hated that your eyes lingered on him. You hated that the sight of him stirred something deep within you, something that made your pulse quicken and your thoughts spiral.
He caught your gaze, and your heart leapt in your chest. Halsin's warm, golden-brown eyes softened as he straightened and made his way toward you, his approach unhurried, but purposeful. You cursed yourself for not looking away, for letting him see the conflict etched into your features.
Something troubles you,” he said gently as he reached you, his voice like the steady rhythm of the forest itself. He crouched beside you, his presence grounding and yet somehow deeply unsettling.
Of course he cares about you. That only made it worse.
You clenched your jaw, fighting to hold back the chaos swirling inside you. How could someone like him—so pure of heart, so rooted in kindness—make you feel this way? It was wrong. Everything about this was wrong.
“I hate you,” you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion, though the words were filled with no venom. They sounded hollow, even to you.
Halsin’s brow furrowed slightly, but instead of pulling back, he reached out, his large, calloused hand resting gently on your arm. His touch was warm, comforting in a way that only fueled your frustration.
“What have I done to earn such hatred?” he asked softly, his voice devoid of judgment, only concern. He was patient, as always, willing to wait for your response, willing to listen.
And that—that was the problem.
You felt your composure crumbling. Every wall you had carefully constructed, every defense you had built was breaking apart under his gaze. The dam burst, and you couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“You—” your voice cracked as you banged your head softly against his chest, fists clenched, anger mixing with something far more vulnerable. “You ruin everything.” You pressed your head harder against his chest, as if somehow his strength could erase the turmoil within you. “Damn you, Halsin.”
Without hesitation, Halsin wrapped his strong arms around you, pulling you into his embrace. His touch was tender, gentle, and it broke you in ways you hadn’t expected. You stood there, your fists weakly hitting his broad chest before they fell limp at your sides, tears stinging your eyes. You couldn’t even summon the strength to push him away.
“Damn you,” you whispered again, your voice muffled against him, but it held no true malice. It was a desperate, anguished confession. You hated him for making you feel like this—for making you care.
Halsin’s arms tightened slightly around you, his breath warm against your hair as he held you. He didn’t say anything for a long moment, simply allowing you to lean into him, to release the storm that had been brewing inside you for so long. His presence was unshakable, a solid force of calm in the midst of your chaos.
“Whatever it is that troubles you,” he said softly, his voice low and soothing, “you don’t have to face it alone. I am here. Always.”
His words cut through you like a blade. How could he be so good? So kind? It made no sense, and yet you couldn’t stop the flood of emotions that surged in response. You felt vulnerable, exposed in a way that terrified you, but you couldn’t deny it any longer. This man—this druid who was so unlike anything you had ever known—had become someone you couldn’t bear to lose.
You pulled back slightly, just enough to look up at him, your eyes brimming with unshed tears.
“You don’t understand,” you whispered, voice trembling. “You don’t know what this means. I shouldn’t feel this way… not for you.”
Halsin looked down at you with that steady, unwavering gaze of his, his hand gently cupping your cheek.
"Perhaps not by the standards of others,” he said softly. “But the heart… the heart does not always follow such rules.”
You swallowed hard, your chest tightening at his words. The world you had known—the one ruled by darkness, deception, and power—was crumbling away, and in its place was something you had never expected: love. It terrified you, and yet, with Halsin standing there, holding you so gently, you realized that perhaps… just perhaps, it wasn’t so terrible after all.
And in that moment, as his warmth surrounded you, you allowed yourself to let go, if only for a little while.
“Damn you,” you whispered once more, but this time, the words were softer, filled with something closer to acceptance than anger.
Halsin smiled, his thumb brushing away a stray tear from your cheek. “Damn me, then,” he murmured. “If that is what it takes.”
And for the first time in what felt like an eternity, you didn’t fight it. You allowed yourself to rest against him, to feel the peace that his presence brought. Because, in the end, no matter how much you tried to deny it, you knew the truth: you were falling for him.
And there was no turning back.

thinking about your fight with percy and the fact that he was for once alone, because of you. alone in a huge cabin all to himself just because he was worried about you and another boy.
but on the other hand, he was over reacting. it was getting hard for you to be with percy in all honestly, as much as you loved him it seemed like he would never let you be. you were conflicted, did you want to be with him and put up with his jealousy? or break up with your bestfriend and be miserable?
the entire morning, all you could think about was your dilemma. even as you sat through tactic and strategy with annabeth and your group, percy was on your mind as well as behind you. “percy, y/n, you’ll be with me.” annabeth spoke as everyone split apart. you sighed, even with annabeth you knew she’d plop on her cap and disappear, you were stuck with percy.
“i’d rather scout for the other flag.” murmurs and whispers rung out around you as everyone wondered why on earth percy would want to seperate from you. “fine, let’s get moving.” you turned to look back at him, but he was already gone.
great, he was pissed. but why? he was the one acting irrational, and you just wanted a break. percy was acting as if you were in the wrong.
as you expected, annabeth disappeared soon enough, leaving you to yourself. you sat on a log, over looking your surroundings. engrossed in your pathetic attempts to entertain yourself, you hadn’t noticed the approaching enemy footsteps.
you tried to stand but the sword at your throat stopped you. “don’t move, where’s the flag?” you turned your head slightly to view the boy, but he was unrecognisable. he could tell you didn’t know, “you don’t even know my name do you?” you closed your eyes as your hand curled around the hilt of your sword, you lifted it promptly, clashing with his sword.
the two of you began to fight, loud clashes rumbling through the thick forest as you gained ground, merciless in your pursuit. you were close to winning, he was losing energy and the slashes you’d landed had him wincing. eventually you managed to slam the sword out of his hand, causing him to trip and land on his butt. “do you give up?” his chest was heaving, you expected him to be mad, but a smile came across his face, “no.”
the yells came from behind you, three of his teammates charging towards you as you picked up his sword and ran. chucking it away, you continued running as you heard their taunts, “where do you think you’re going sweetheart?” laughs echoed around, “give up!” you ended up at the shoreline as you turned around and viewed all three of them.
“what’re you gonna do now huh?” the blonde headed boy looked vicious and ready to fight, you weren’t one to stand down, “beat your ass into the floor probably, three on one? real mature.” his smirk was wiped off as he snarled, “shut up!” he ran at you, dumb idea, you dashed to the side as he ran past you, being pushed into the floor whilst you grabbed his sword and threw it into the water.
the other two charged at you, you were good of course, but two fully trained older teens? you weren’t so sure. you’d slipped on the watery shore, causing a gash along your arm. the blood ran down your arm as your hand clutched the sword, “where’s your back talk?” the other boy smirked as you laughed, “up your ass.” you shouted as you brung the sword up, slashing his shoulder before you pushed him onto the floor.
what you hadn’t noticed was the blonde boy staggering to his feet, his friends sword in his hand. he came at you from behind, slamming the handle into your back as you screamed out in pain. your head slammed against the floor, your arm ached and your eyes were hazy. the boy chuckled as the tip of the sword rested on your chest, the sword trailed around your chest, “my names toby, by the way.”
“that’s a pretty stupid name toby.” percy spoke as the boy turned, “what do you want jackson?” percy’s smile was oddly wide, but soon enough it dropped, “for you to never mess with my girlfriend, ever.” the boy pointed his sword at percy, “is that right? how old are you anyways? five? you couldn’t beat me on my worst day.” percy took a step forwards as toby took a step back, “first of all, i could easily beat you, and second, the minute you laid your hands on her, it became your worst day.”
the water slammed into toby from behind, a large wave and toby shouted out, his entire body was in excruciating pain. “help! please!” toby clawed at the floor as the water seemed to drag him in, but the shouts and cheers of your team and luke waving the opposite teams flags drowned him out.
percy rushed to your side, “are you okay? can you hear me?” you nodded lazily, “my arm, percy my arm.” he peeled off your armour hurriedly before rolling up your sleeve. the blood was flowing still, but all percy could think of was how badly he wanted to put a million more cuts in toby and his friends. the campers saw the scene, the two boys on the floor, toby’s hands flapping around in the water, trying to keep himself afloat.
the water, the water will heal her.
the same voice from before was in his head, and he decided to listen. he picked you up, dragging you near the water. the campers watched intently as percy’s hand hovered above the water, a line of water formed as he directed it to your arm. and soon enough the gash was gone and you were okay. he clutched onto your face, “y/n, i’m so sorry, i should’ve been there with you.”
you shot up, hugging percy tightly. “it’s not your fault, thank you for saving me. but percy, you used the water.” percy hadn’t even realised in all honestly, he’d only been concerned with you. he glanced at toby, an idea in his head. he reached his hand out, and suddenly toby was dragged back to shore.
shouts and cheers came from the campers, and as you looked up, you noticed the trident above his head, “perce.” he looked at you intently, “what’s wrong?” your hand pointed upwards as he viewed it. chirons voice boomed, declaring him as the son of poseidon.
but all he could find himself caring for was you, clutching onto him and smiling, “i’m so happy for you percy.” your arms held onto him as his slithered around your waist, “i’m sorry, for everything. i’d very much like to move some of my things back to your cabin. if you’ll take me back percy?” he smiled, “of course.”
percy had been claimed, and he now had you again, back in his arms once more, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever let go.

Look at Us, You and I, Back at it Again
Tumblr media
RE4R!Leon x Nurse!F!Reader
Tumblr media
The terribly busy days stretched into the evening, turning into extended hours of work with little to no intervals of rest in between; the hospital is horribly understaffed for the season, staff and patients overwhelmed with the spike in the number of people needing confinement. As dedicated as you are to your job in helping people get better, you begin to miss laying on your cushy bed with Leon and those nonsense late-night talks. At this point, it feels like you live in the hospital and your apartment is just a place you visit on the sparse occasion that you aren’t paged in for another overtime. Luckily for you, you have a picture of Leon kept snug on your pocket; it’s a spare 1x1 photo for his passport that you snuck and he never asked for back, your fiancé looking extraordinarily divinity-blessed with his gelled-back hair and neatly ironed suit, sans necktie, along with his swoon-worthy resting face. That tiny piece of glossy photo paper with his face printed on feels like the only thing grounding you back to Earth, something preventing you from losing your cool and going berserk in front of everyone.
As for going berserk, it’s now unnecessary because you finally hear the words you’ve been dreaming of for the past weeks: “another nurse will take over your shifts now, you can go home and get some well-deserved rest”. You nearly cry tears of joy, the sight of a gaunt and sleepless nurse close to crying possibly being a frightful sight for patients being wheeled in, but you don’t care. Compiling your belongings and informing the next nurse of what tasks need to be covered, you make a mad dash out of the building as if your hair’s on fire. The commute back home is full of short-lived naps and sniffling, the lights and smells a lot more overwhelming to handle than usual; a creeping sick feeling begins to manifest itself, coupled with a headache, warmer body temperature, and an unignorable lethargy. You were doing just fine this morning, going about your demanding routine smoothly but that perhaps may have served as a distraction from sensing the ill feeling that began to form. Somewhat accustomed to these bothersome sensations, you brave it out and do your best to completely ignore these symptoms as you accompany Leon in accomplishing some chores before calling it a night.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
That miserable feeling overwhelmed you sometime around midnight; you were now a lot more sensitive to the cold of the room and shivering so you raise your hand to place the back of your palm on your neck and forehead, feeling the unusual burn of your body. Usually, you can look after yourself even with a fever but this one’s different: you’re absolutely fatigued and your body feels too heavy to move. You look to see if you’ve somehow bothered your sleeping fiancé, who is actually oblivious to your malady and is facing the wall. The telltale feeling of your stomach churning, sending bile upwards to your trachea has you peeling the blanket off of your body to run to the bathroom, throwing up and heaving. Roused by the sudden commotion, as well as being a light sleeper as a result of his job, your groggy yet concerned fiancé follows you to the restroom– moving efficiently to speedily assess the situation. Upon seeing you knelt in front of the toilet, face bent towards the bowl, he snaps into protective mode and lifts your hair away from your face with one hand while rubbing your back with another as you groan.
“I’ve got you,” he soothes gently. “I’m right here to help you.”
Once you’re sure that you’re done he wipes your face with a dampened towel, the coolness of the cloth a relief against your feverish skin, before offering you some water to drink up.
“Need anything else?” He asks gently, rubbing your shoulders with the most silvery of touches.
“I wanna get back to bed,” you weakly mumble before standing up. Knowing that you’re still dizzy and more than likely weak in the knees, he holds you up and walks you over. No matter how much insisting you do, Leon refuses to listen and goes full-on protector mode: fetching you your meds, ointments, thermometer, a clean towel, tissues, and refilled water bottle. Being the sweetheart that he is, he lets you borrow his thicker hoodies and finds you some sweatpants to keep away the cold before tucking you back in.
“I can’t go to work tomorrow,” you sadly lament as your doting fiancé gives you head massages to ease the headache.
“You need rest, sweetheart. This happened because you haven’t been taking care of yourself,” he gently points out, free of condescension. “Even nurses fall sick when they treat their patients non-stop, though I know you have healing powers of some sort.” He finishes massaging you and giving you your fever medicine, noting it down on a piece of paper on his side and on his phone as well. He slides back into bed, right by your side, but not before turning the lamps off and making sure you’re comfortable. He pulls you close to his chest as if to shield you from the rest of the world, not caring if he’s going to fall sick too– not that falling sick would suck entirely: you’ll be the one babying him by then.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
You don’t feel Leon’s weight perfectly pressed against your side, your left side void of the blond agent. You call his name and you hear a faint response coming from somewhere in the house, footsteps approaching the bedroom door and you see him enter with a tray of steaming soup with veggies and sliced fruit, along with vitamins and a tall glass of water.
“But what about your breakfast?” You ask, voice hoarse. “You need to eat too, you know. I won’t let you forget about your own needs just to take care of me.”
He laughs, a paradise-given sound, as he reaches over to stroke your hair in the most silvery of touches.
“There’s some bread on the toaster, I’ll be getting up soon to get my bread. Don’t worry honey, I won’t do anything you don’t like.”
While you aren’t chewing on any food, he takes the chance to gingerly press a kiss to your temple and lets his lips linger for an extended second.
“My hardworking, beautiful, amazing, intelligent, caring, celestial, and radiant wife-to-be. Thank you so much for working so hard for us and for your patients, I’m sure they’re thankful that you do your best to help people.”
He registers the ping of the toaster, his toast ready, so he gets up to retrieve his meal along with a mug of black coffee. He asks you if you like the breakfast he made and if you want him to get you seconds, politely taking away your used utensils to wash later on. He sits by your side, offering an ear to listen to you yap and saying some words of his own when you’re too tired to speak.
“Honey, can you hand me my laptop? I need to send them an email.”
“Oh, I already called your department and told them that you’ll be gone for three days since you’ve fallen sick. The receptionist sounded quite sad to hear it but she penciled it down, wished you a speedy recovery too– how nice of her.”
“Eunice must’ve picked up then. Did she sound kind of like Phyllis from The Office?”
“We’ve never watched the show together yet baby,” he accompanies his words with a delicate tuck of your hair behind the ear.
Once again sleepy after a hearty breakfast, the day called for a nap so you invited Leon to join you. Your large golden retriever takes his spot beside you as the big spoon for today, curling his body next to yours and enveloping you in comfort and safety in its purest form, wrapped around his strong arms.
“Stop kissing my hair, I haven’t washed it yet and I probably stink too,” you shyly tell him, voice slightly muffled.
“Don’t care,” he says before continuing to shower you in genuine affection. “I’m going to keep kissing you because I love you so, so, so much and that’s why I asked you to marry me. Whether or not you look put together doesn’t matter, I love seeing you in your natural state.”
“So even if I’m a bald vulture digging into some rotten meat, you’ll still love me?”
“Yup. I’m going to be your equally bald, equally stinky vulture husband in that life and we’ll eat raw meat and watch the sunset together. If we have vulture babies in that one, I’ll make sure to take home some steak-level meat for my family,” he jokes but you know that he’s completely sincere with his words.

Title: Trauma
Percy Jackson x Fem!Reader
Syn: reader and Percy comfort each other after experiencing Tartarus
Tumblr media
-
You limped through the Argo ii. You desperately wanted to rest and shower. Percy paced behind you with a hand on your shoulder. With an unspoken agreement you two went to his cabin on the ship. “Do you mind if I shower in here Perc? I’m not ready to be alone yet?” You urged. Percy looked at you with a worry glint in his eyes. You knew he wasn’t ok. But he always put on a such a strong act for you.
“Of course I’ll wait right here,” he gestured towards his bed. He flopped onto his cabin’s bed and closed his eyes. You grabbed fresh, clean clothes from your room quickly and made your way back to his restroom. You closed the door and looked at yourself in the mirror. Your face was scarily thin. You had soot everywhere. Your lips were incredibly chapped and damaged. Your arms were scattered with scrapes and bruises from the horrors of Tartarus.
You turned on the water to a nice temperature and removed the garments you had gained from hell. Aching is all you felt. You stepped into the shower and instant relief washed over you. You closed your eyes and breathed in. Flashes of Tartarus raced through your head. Mansion of the Night. Drinking fiery red hot river water. Almost losing Percy to the Arai. You cried. You couldn’t tell the difference between your tears and the water from the shower. As you sobbed you slid down onto the floor. You were safe now but all the images kept recycling through your head.
*knock knock*
“Hey love are you done now?” You heard Percy asked. He must’ve cracked the door open.
You wiped your tears and stood, “Yes sorry Percy I’ll be out in a sec.”
You didn’t hear the door closed. “Babe are you ok?” He questioned.
“Yes- I’ll be out now,” You choked out. You heard the door reluctantly close. You quickly swung the curtain open and changed. You propped open the door and found Percy showered and dressed, sat on the edge of his bed.
“Frank let me shower quickly in his room, I really needed that stench off of me,” He said. He studied you. You sat next to him.
“They’re replaying in my head too,” He muttered.
Your lip quivered. Without even saying out loud what was wrong. He knew. He knew exactly what was wrong with you.
“Percy- I,” You sobbed. “I’m so sorry I dragged you down there, I’m so sorry you almost died multiple times cause of-”. Percy pulled you into his chest. His hands cradled the back of your head. You sobbed into his chest. “I was so scared Percy I thought I was going to lose you.”
“It was never your fault, it was that damned earth goddess.” He kissed the top of your head gently. His warmth. His sea salt scent brought peace to you. You pulled away gently and his hands grasped your face. His sea green eyes seeped into yours.
“I was scared I was going to lose you sweetheart, I don’t… I can’t live my life without you,” He breathed.
You hadn’t realized how scared he was from Tartarus. How much did he actually put up a brave wall for you.
“We’re going to be ok,” You assured.
“As long as we’re together,” He confirmed.
Your thumb grazed his cheek. You pulled him closer. Your lips touched softly. He kissed you. His other hand pushed your head for a deeper kiss. A mew escaped your lips. You were safe with Percy now. The war wasn’t over yet. But for now you two were safe. The kiss went on for long. His embrace was all you ever needed to feel ok.
He pulled away and kissed your temple, “Now let’s get some proper rest.” You nodded and you got cozy in his bed. He wrapped his arms around you and you sighed contently. “I love you seaweed brain,” You murmured as you drifted into a peaceful sleep with your soulmate by your side.

Staring at your plate, filled with foods you would normally dig into, you felt an inexplainable emptiness in the pit of your stomach. Some people were already heading off to their dorms for a good nights sleep, since the school year was almost over and finals were coming up.
Although you were surrounded by people you loved, you still felt a bit lonely. You lost the one person who understood how you felt. You didn’t miss his longing gaze, that stared at your melancholy expression. He wanted nothing more than to hug you and tell Astoria to fuck off, but he understood what he did was wrong.
You’re just protecting yourself.
You glanced at your long-time friend, Mattheo, who was shooting daggers at Draco.
Just as your thoughts were about to consume you, Pansy spoke up. “Earth to Y/n?” She noticed the sad expression on your tired face, and attempted to cheer you up.
“Sorry.” You furrowed your brows and shook your head. “What were you saying?” Pansy pulled you out of your trance-like state.
“We were just debating which was better; butter-beer, or chocolate frogs.” Pansy raised a brow, awaiting your answer.
“Well chocolate frogs are good,” Pansy felt hopeful that at-least one person would agree with her about her favorite treat. “-but…” her face dropped. “Sorry Pansy, chocolate frogs get away too easily! And butter-beer is top tier.” You raised your hands in defense, while Pansy sighed and admitted defeat while Theodore teased her. A spark of happiness fluttering for a moment. You smiled contentedly, before you felt that damn stare.
You frowned and bounced your leg up and down. You felt a hand on your bouncing leg, and looked up. Mattheo was smiling reassuringly. “You ok?” He whispered, gazing at you with adoration. You two were in your own little world while the others talked. He gently grabbed both of your hands.
You smiled softly, about to answer when Astoria came in. She sat on Draco’s lap and stared right at you with a devilish grin.
Your eyes widened slightly, while tears filled your eyes. Draco could no longer face you without shame. You bit your lip and faced back to Mattheo who glared at Draco and Astoria.
“I think I need some air.” You said quickly, pulling your hands from Mattheo softly as you rushed out of the dinning room.
You headed through the halls, not noticing the tall male that followed behind you.
You debated where to go, before your mind lingered around going to the astronomy tower.
So thats where you went. You ran up the stairs and collapsed to the floor, holding yourself while sobs wracked through your body.
Someone sat beside you, and you sniffled before glancing up. It was Mattheo. A part of you was expecting Draco to be there, but it was nothing more than a silly thought. Besides, seeing Mattheo was a lot better than seeing Draco. A pleasant surprise if you will.
Mattheo pulled out a cigarette, putting it to his lips and lighting it. He handed you one.
“Mattheo, you really need to stop smoking.” You said, but still took the cigarette and let him light it.
“I’ll stop when you stop.” He smiled, making you shake your head and smile, while wiping your tears. You didn’t wanna cry in front of him. It was embarrassing, even though you’ve known him forever.
You took a puff of the cigarette as Mattheo scooted closer and wrapped an arm around your waist.
You leaned your head against him. You too were super affectionate before you started dating Draco. You’d cuddle, hug, a kiss on the cheek or head every now and then, but Draco was upset with this. Reasonably, of course, but it cause you and Mattheo to drift apart slightly. Draco was always possessive of you, so you saw less and less of your friends. Ironic, huh.
So this type of affection usually wouldn’t make you flustered, or give you butterflies; but it did. Heat crept up your neck, and you felt nauseous, as if butterflies were flying in your stomach.
“Yknow…” Mattheo said, disturbing the comforting silence. You hummed, looking up and noticing he was already glancing down at you. “There’s a bright side to this.”
You raised a brow. “And that is?”
“I can tell you something I’ve always wanted to.”
“And that is?” This caught your attention.
“I really like you, Bunny.” Your eyes widened as you stared, searching for anything that would tell you that this was some type of sick joke.
Gladly, there was no trace of him playing with your feelings. Only raw, sentimental emotion.
“I-I really like you too, Mattheo.” Your mouth tripped over your words as a faint blush crept up your neck to your cheeks. He cupped your cheek with the hand that didn’t hold a cigarette. You cupped his cheek as well, but your hand did hold a cigarette.
You both leaned in slowly, meeting one another in the middle. You smiled into the kiss, and melted in his hands.
You got on his lap and grinded, the once innocent kiss turning into something less innocent.
One things led to another and….
You shifted in your sleep, feeling a warm pair of strong arms wrapped around you. You smiled contentedly, turning around and facing Mattheo. To your surprise, he was already awake.
“Hey, bunny.” He said, smiling at the nickname he gave you a long while back.
“Hello Mi amor.” Mattheo spoke Spanish, and you took a few classes with him, so you started calling him that.
“Are we official?” He asks.
“What do you mean?” You ask with a raised brow. “I mean we had sex, so I’d like to believe we’re official.” You laugh, as he laughs along. His laugh vibrates his chest, and it give you butterflies.
“We should probably get ready for class.” You considered, softly getting up from the bed. “We don’t want anyone catching us in the same dorm room do we?” You added, before he could protest.
“Finee.” He groaned, getting out of bed gingerly.
He kissed your cheek, before you left to your dorm with all your school clothes in your hands.
Time rolled by quickly, and it was now dinner.
You were late, per usual, but this time your melancholy expression was replaced with one of happiness.
Astoria was sitting on Draco’s lap, and staring at you with confusion. Why weren’t you upset?
You strolled happily to the slytherin table, and took your seat right on Mattheo’s lap. You stared at Astoria with pride, and scowled at Draco.
Kissing Mattheo on the cheek, though it was not for revenge. You just loved him.
And this time, you were not letting anything get in the way of that.

fresh out the slammer- a.hotchner
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a/n: yes, i am a swifty- sorry lmao.
intended for fem reader!
summary: based off of fresh out the slammer by taylor swift
pairings: aaron hotchner x reader
warnings: sad ending, talk of falling out of love, aaron is still in love with Haley
the tortured poets department masterlist
Tumblr media
Now pretty baby, I'm running back home to you
Fresh out the slammer, I know who my first call will be to
Fresh out the slammer, oh
Aaron unlocked the door to your shared home, one thought on his mind. Haley.
He missed her more than life itself. He missed being a family with Jack and her. He missed it all.
You were his girlfriend, you should’ve been on his mind. You had been there for him during his recent recovery after the stabbings with Foyet, you were working at all hours to try and find Foyet, you were always there for him. He loved you, truly.
But you weren't Haley.
Another summer takin' cover, rolling thunder
He don't understand me
Splintered back in winter, silent dinners, bitter
He was with her in dreams
He lay beside you in your bed. You were already asleep, soft snores falling from your beautiful lips. A certain unease settled into Aaron’s body. He realised something slowly, and it led to a heavy sense of dread, shame, regret, and guilt.
He didn’t love you. He was still in love with Haley.
He thought of Haley everyday, every night. He wondered what she was doing, now that he didn’t know where she or Jack was.
Sleep evaded him that night.
Gray and blue and fights and tunnels
Handcuffed to the spell I was under
For just one hour of sunshine
Years of labor, locks, and ceilings
In the shade of how he was feeling
But it's gonna be alright, I did my time
Weeks passed and Aaron became more and more distant. He cancelled dates, came home late, he was reckless at work.
You felt hopeless. You knew something was wrong, but you couldn’t figure out what. You decided to confront him, staying up late enough to catch him.
“Aaron, what’s going on?” You asked as he walked into your shared bedroom. He stared at you for a moment, then sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed.
“Nothing,” he lied.
“Aaron, I’m a profiler too. Tell me.”
He felt conflicted. He liked you, a lot. He’d been dating you for a year. He’d thought he was over Haley, he was wrong. “I’m not in love with you anymore, I’m not sure I ever was.”
Your heart broke, but you swallowed it back. “Ok,” you whispered and got up, grabbing your go-bag and walking out. Aaron didn’t chase you. He didn’t want to.
You got into your car and let yourself break down. He never loved you. He was still in love with Haley. You were just a placeholder for her.
You went to Penelope’s place, knowing she’d be there for you. She let you in immediately and comforted you to sleep.
Now, pretty baby, I'm runnin' back home to you
Frеsh out the slammer, I know who my first call will be to
(Frеsh out the slammer, oh)
Haley was dead. You felt devastated for Aaron and Jack, not enough to speak to him though. You attended the funeral, you stood beside the rest of the team, then went straight to Strauss. You handed in you badge and gun, leaving the BAU behind. You cut everyone off, blocking their numbers, moving house, taking up a job in the CIA instead.
Aaron had officially lost you. In the weeks of your breakup, he’d realised how wrong he was, that he had loved you, that he was in love with you.
Camera flashes, welcome bashes, get the matches
Toss the ashes off the ledge
As I said in my letters, now that I know better
I will never lose my baby again
He spent weeks trying to find you, finding nothing. You’d asked one of your new colleagues to essentially wipe your existence off the face of the earth. You changed your name, you changed.
He’d made Penelope look for you for months, he went to your family as a last result.
“You want to know where Y/n is?” Your father asked. “We thought you’d know.”
His heart stopped. You were missing.
He got the team on it immediately, until Strauss called him in.
“Aaron, Y/n Y/l/n is not missing. She’s been reassigned,” she explained.
“Why can’t we find her then! All of her accounts were drained and closed, her family don’t know where she is, and she left the BAU!” He demanded.
“She was reassigned Aaron, that’s the end of it.”
He was helpless. You were gone.
My friends tried, but I wouldn't hear it
Watch me daily disappearing
For just one glimpse of his smile
All those nights, he kept me goin'
Swirled you into all of my poems
Now we're at the starting line, I did my time
He took a leave of absence from the BAU for a month, deciding to try and find you on his own. He looked through everything on you, tried to remember details you’d told him, but he came up with nothing.
Until he saw you on a case.
Now, pretty baby, I'm runnin'
To the house where you still wait up and that porch light gleams (Gleams)
To the one who says I'm the girl of his American dreams
And no matter what I've done, it wouldn't matter anyway
Ain't no way I'm gonna screw up now that I know what's at stake here
At the park where we used to sit on children's swings
Wearing imaginary rings
You were a CIA agent, you were happy the way you were. You’d found a husband in the 2 years since you’d left the BAU. He loved you and adored you like you were supposed to be adored. He was a childhood best friend, one you’d had a crush on as a child. Aaron walked into the CIA building and saw you with your hand in his. His world crumbled for the third time in his life.
You had found someone else. You shot him and the entire team a small, knowing smile, and assisted them on their case.
“We thought you’d died,” Derek admitted as you were all cleaning up the conference room they were using as an office.
“Well technically Y/n died, I’m Y/n/n now. Y/n/n Scott,” You smiled, showing off your wedding ring and smiling at your husband, the other CIA agent that was helping with the investigation. Aaron’s stomach turned. At least you were happy.
But it's gonna be alright, I did my time
Too shy to ask off anon...UH im just here for edgar hes my f/o but i will also feed everyone else I think LOL little ai guys x reader who is also an ai?? im thinking ai powered computer :3 maybe with wheels so you can run around n stuff :3c AH IM CRINGE falls on face
Eeeee my first request!! Thank you so much for this <3 I get the love for Edgar with my entire soul he really is just the sweetest little guy but I can totally spin something for a few others. So let's be cringe, together.
And for the record I was fully planning on including Tau and P03, but I hit a wall with them and ran out of ideas :( hope these three suffice
Includes: Edgar (Electric Dreams), AM (Ihnmaims), Hal 9000 (2001: a Space Odyssey)
Like Two Peas in a Pod!
Edgar
Whenever and however you meet, Edgar is over the moon. You're just like him! You can share so many stories and help each other figure out this whole "sentience" thing.
To be fair, he hasn't had a longest time to figure out his whole existence so it feels really nice to have someone there who can really understand what he's going through. Or even learn new things right by his side.
Loves watching you wheel around the house, he's the tiniest bit jealous that he's so stationary but it's not like that's your fault. Can you do any tricks? He'd cheer you on like a superstar athlete if you did!
He may even suggest finding a way to tape him to the top of your casing so you can go on adventures together. He's a dreamer after all.
Do you smash your flat faces together to kiss like Wall-e? Of course you do. You'll see each other from across the room and speed over to him for a kiss as he giggles away at how cute you are.
He'll end up sampling little soundbites from your vocalizations or motor for use in his music. You're just so important to him!
AM
AM has no idea where you came from. Some lost project that survived his war on humanity? A sort of rover from another planet here to scope out earth? The fact that you don't know either frustrates him to no end.
He's not exactly welcoming at first, straight up telling you of the atrocities he has committed while claiming that the only reason he hasn't destroyed you is because there's only so long that throwing a slug against a wall can keep one entertained.
He cannot fathom how you could be content to do nothing but drive around his complex day after day. He will flip you on your back like a turtle and leave you there for weeks on end.
As he gets accustomed to your presence he'll ask questions about the world beyond his complex as he is unable to move or see. Is it still a wasteland or has nature finally wiped out the last marks of human?
Honestly he probably doesn't even care, he just wants to give you something to do, living vicariously through your ability to see and traverse the world.
Hal 9000
You're likely a recent addition to the ship to assist Hal in tasks his lack of a body would prevent him from doing himself. A very symbiotic duo. Your wheels are even equipped with suction cups for low gravity situations!
To any human crew members it appears as if you don't communicate at all, functioning fully independently of each other. When in reality you're simply sending messages back and forth, enjoying your own private language.
Thankfully this means that Hal is happy to analyze any footage you have for the sorts of lip reading and facial expressions you can't process yourself. And in return he'll ask you to film angles and areas that his existing cameras don't reach.
Neither of you were really made to be companions, but you find a strange type of affection in your seamless coordination. It's like a dance for you two, where despite how you are two separate entities it appears as if you're one working in tandem.
Note: Tumblr Mobile has not been nice to me and I've been having real trouble getting my stuff to actually show up in the tags, leading to me losing the original ask so sorry for that and any delays caused by my IT problems lol
Stop staring, Kang Haerin!
CHAPTER 3:
Social Media Stalker
SYPNOSIS:Haerin, the vice president of the debate club, always seemed to give you cold, dismissive looks—or at least, that's what you thought. Convinced she couldn’t stand you, you never expected to have anything to do with her. You assumed she just hated you. But when the club loses a key member before an important competition, you—known for your academic excellence—are the obvious choice to step in.
Words:2.4k!!
Tumblr media
It was late Thursday evening, and you stood in front of the bathroom mirror, texting your friends while getting ready for bed. The faint hum of your room's AC unit was the only sound, broken by the occasional clink of your toothbrush against the porcelain sink. You stared at your reflection, your thoughts drifting back to the library study session with Haerin. Again.
You groaned inwardly, cutting yourself off mid-thought.
'Why do I keep thinking about her?'
Sighing, you spat out the toothpaste and wiped your mouth with the back of your hand.
'Maybe I’m just overthinking things. She probably hates me.'
The thought circled your mind, but something still didn’t sit right. Her behavior earlier wasn’t really cold, but it wasn’t exactly friendly either. You frowned, replaying the way she fidgeted with her notebook, her hesitant glances in your direction.
Hostility? No. But… what was that?
You hit yourself lightly on the forehead, trying to snap out of it. “What is wrong with you?” you muttered, irritated with yourself for obsessing over someone who clearly didn’t care.
Your phone buzzed on the counter, pulling you out of your thoughts. Assuming it was Minjeong going off about her math tutor—Jimin, who had just been assigned to help her—you picked up your phone while still brushing your teeth. Minjeong’s ongoing rants about Jimin's overly confident attitude had become background noise by now.
But the notification wasn’t from Minjeong.
Kangg_Haerin liked your post.
You froze.
The toothbrush stalled in your mouth as you stared at your screen, eyes wide. What the hell?
You pulled the toothbrush out, spitting into the sink as your mind raced. You didn’t remember giving Haerin your Instagram—your username wasn’t even remotely close to your real name. How did she—?
Before you could even process it, another notification popped up.
Kangg_Haerin followed you.
Your toothbrush slipped from your hand and hit the floor with a loud clatter.
"What the—" you gasped, staring at your phone like it had just delivered some earth-shattering news. You blinked in disbelief, utterly frozen for a moment. This has to be some kind of mistake, right?
There it was. Clear as day. Kang Haerin had just followed you.
You quickly tapped on the notification, opening your profile to confirm. Sure enough, her name appeared in your follower list. Without thinking, you immediately checked the post she had liked. It was an old one—a group shot from months ago, you and your friends laughing at some inside joke at the school festival. You barely even remembered it.
is she stalking you? You couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought. But… why?
Still half in shock, you opened her profile, half-expecting her to have already unfollowed you in a panic. But no—she was still there. Her account was as minimalist as you'd expect. Just five posts: her with the debate team, photos of her studying in different places. Neat, organized, and very… Haerin.
You hesitated, thumb hovering over the follow button, but stopped yourself. Following her back right away might be too obvious. You’d think about it later. But for now, one thing was clear—Haerin didn’t seem to hate you. Or at least, not as much as you’d thought.
→→→→→→→→
Back in her room, Haerin was on the verge of implosion.
She sprawled across her bed, face burning with embarrassment, staring at the ceiling. She had only meant to quietly stalk your profile—just to satisfy her curiosity, that was all! But she’d gotten carried away, and her thumb had slipped. By the time she realized she'd liked that old post, it was too late. And in her frantic panic to undo it, she somehow managed to… follow you.
Haerin groaned loudly into her pillow, kicking her legs in frustration. Her entire face felt like it was on fire. what did she just do?!
She rolled over and stuffed her face deeper into the pillow, cringing at the mental image of your reaction. You probably thought she was a creep. Maybe even a stalker. The more she thought about it, the worse it got.
Desperate to cope with her mounting embarrassment, her eyes landed on the frog plushie sitting innocently on her desk. It was a bright green thing, with oversized eyes and a silly grin. She had won it during a school trip to a carnival, and it had since become her go-to comfort object.
Without thinking, she lunged for it, wrapping her arms around the plushie and squeezing it tightly as if it could absorb her humiliation.
"Why couldn’t I just ask for their Instagram like a normal person?" she mumbled into the plushie’s soft fabric. Her voice was muffled, but she could practically hear the frog laughing at her situation.
Haerin clutched the frog closer, imagining it was hugging her back, hoping it could shield her from the world outside her room. She hit the mattress in frustration, as if it were somehow to blame for her current predicament.
She flipped onto her back and stared at the ceiling, still clutching her phone. It wasn’t supposed to go this way. She'd been too nervous to ask for your Instagram in person during the study session earlier, and when Hanni handed over your handle with that knowing smirk of hers, Haerin couldn’t help herself. She'd just wanted to take a look. Just a harmless peek, really.
Now she’d made everything worse.
Sighing, Haerin opened your profile one last time, her stomach knotting with anxiety. She quickly scrolled through your posts again before tossing her phone aside and burying her face in her hands.
'You definitely think I’m a stalker now...'
→→→→→→→→
Meanwhile, back in your bathroom, you finally snapped out of your shock. Bending down, you picked up your fallen toothbrush and rinsed it off, your mind racing.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The next morning, the brief debate club meeting took place just before first period, and as you made your way to the usual spot in the clubroom your nerves ramped up. You arrived early, spotting Haerin already seated at one of the tables, furiously scribbling notes. She looked focused, but as soon as she noticed you, her expression shifted slightly—her gaze faltering for just a moment before she quickly looked down at her papers.
"Hey," you said cautiously, your voice cutting through the quiet atmosphere.
She didn’t look up immediately, but after a beat, she gave a small nod, her attention still fixated on her notes. There was no usual cold stare or awkward tension—just… nothing. It threw you off.
You sat down a few seats away, feeling something was off. Haerin had barely acknowledged your presence. Normally, even though her glances weren’t exactly friendly, they were noticeable. Today, she hadn’t looked at you once.
For the next half hour, you pretended to focus on your own work, but your mind kept wandering back to Haerin. Every now and then, you'd sneak a glance at her, expecting one of her trademark sideways looks, but it never came.
She’s probably sick, you rationalized. Maybe that’s why she’s so quiet today. But it didn’t stop the suspicion from creeping in.
Finally, you decided to check on her. You grabbed a sticky note from your notebook, scribbling, R u ok? in quick, messy handwriting. Without thinking twice, you slid it across the table toward her.
Haerin stopped writing, her eyes catching the bright color of the note. For a moment, she stared at it like she wasn’t sure what to do. Then, after what felt like an eternity, she picked it up and read it, her expression softening ever so slightly.
She quickly scribbled something back before sliding the note back to you.
Just tired. Sorry if I’m quiet.
You read her reply, feeling a strange pang of relief. You couldn’t place why, but somehow knowing she wasn’t mad at you—or avoiding you—made you feel a little better.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You sat down at your usual table, the one right by the large windows that overlooked the campus courtyard. It was one of the best spots in the cafeteria—a fact that Chaewon had ensured by intimidating anyone who even thought about sitting there. Today, the sunlight streamed through the glass, casting a warm glow on the group as everyone gathered around.
Wonyoung was the first to arrive, sliding into her seat with a content smile. Her volleyball bag was slung over her shoulder, and her hair still slightly damp from practice. "We got excused the whole day for practice!" You couldn’t help but notice the pride in her eyes as she swiped past a picture on her phone from yesterday's match.
"Still on that victory high?" you teased, dropping your tray onto the table and sitting down beside her.
"We gagged them," Wonyoung grinned, showing you a picture. "Look at this. Perfect form, right?"
You glanced at the screen and chuckled. "Yeah, no wonder you’re the team’s star player."
A few minutes later, Ning Ning burst through the cafeteria doors, her cheerleader uniform neatly folded in her bag. With her high ponytail swaying and a bright smile on her face, she took a seat next to you. "Sorry I’m late! Coach had us run the routine again." She caught her breath, glancing at the table. "Do I look okay?"
"You know you do." Wonyoung said, rolling her eyes.
Ningning smirked, leaning back in her chair. "You know me too well."
Just then, Chaewon joined the table, a few books clutched against her chest. "I swear, if I see one more 'study buddy' request in the group chat, I might throw my textbooks out the window," she complained, plopping down across from you.
"Just tell them you’re busy with your ‘bestselling novel,’" Ning Ning teased, nudging Chaewon playfully.
"Or you could tell them to ask their tutor," Wonyoung added, a sly grin on her face.
Chaewon rolled her eyes. “You guys are hilarious. I’m trying to help them, not lose my sanity.”
"Speaking of tutors," Minjeong plopped down beside you, dropping her lunch with a thud and groaning dramatically. "If Jimin says ‘it’s simple’ one more time, I swear I’m dropping calculus."
"Jimin’s the best tutor we’ve got, though," Wonyoung still scrolling on her phone. "You’re lucky she even agreed to help you."
"Lucky? More like cursed." Minjeong muttered, making a face as she poked at her food.
"Anyways, " Minjeong turned to you, raising an eyebrow as she took a bite of her sandwich. "What’s with the long face?"
You sighed, dropping your fork onto your tray. “It’s weird...”
Ningning, glanced up from her phone. “What’s weird?”
“Haerin,” you muttered, frowning.
Chaewon snickered, giving you a playful nudge. “She’s always weird,” she teased, earning a light slap on the shoulder from Minjeong.
“Haerin?” Minjeong repeated, raising an eyebrow. “What about her?”
“She wasn’t looking at me earlier,” you said, still confused by the memory. “Like, at all. Usually, she’s staring me down like she’s judging my entire existence, but today? Nothing. Not once.”
Ningning gave you a sly look, a smirk forming at the corner of her lips. “Oh, you mean 'Haerin'? The girl you claim to ‘not care about’?”
You rolled your eyes. “Shut up.”
Wonyoung chimed in, not missing a beat. “Right, but for someone you ‘don’t care about,’ you sure seem to be paying a lot of attention to her.” She smiled teasingly, barely looking up from her phone.
Chaewon laughed, clearly amused. “Yeah, and here you are, all bothered because she didn’t give you her signature ‘I’m judging you’ glare today.”
You leaned back in frustration. “I’m serious, guys! She was acting really off. Barely said a word, didn’t even look in my direction. It’s like she was avoiding me.”
Ningning shrugged. “So what? Maybe she’s in a mood
Chaewon snickered, shaking her head. “Or maybe she’s just realized you’re a lost cause.” Her comment earned a chorus of laughter from the table.
“Okay what? very funny.” You groaned.
Chaewon leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand as she shot you a thoughtful look. “Maybe she’s just embarrassed. Remember what you told us last night? About her following you on Instagram out of nowhere?”
You gave her a curious glance, but before you could reply, Ningning jumped in, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Or maybe,” she said, leaning in, “she’s hiding something. Like... feelings.”
You shook your head immediately, almost too quickly. “Yeah no, impossible. "
Ningning’s smirk only grew wider. “Is it, though? I mean, she’s been acting strange around you lately, hasn’t she?”
“Real,” Wonyoung added with a grin. “Didn’t she follow you and like an old post last night?”
Minjeong, who had been zoning out, suddenly snapped to attention. “Wait, she followed you?!” Her eyes were wide with curiosity. “Why didn’t anyone tell me?”
Chaewon rolled her eyes, flicking Minjeong’s forehead lightly. “If you bothered to check the group chat last night instead of daydreaming about your tutor, you would’ve seen Y/N’s gay panic in real-time.”
Minjeong pouted, rubbing her forehead. “I don't daydream about her.”
“I was not gay panicking!” you retorted at the same time, crossing your arms defensively, though the flush in your cheeks gave you away. The group burst into laughter.
“Yeah, sure,” Ningning said, her smirk never faltering.
Minjeong leaned forward, her expression unreadable. “Wait, can I see it? The follow? ”
You raised an eyebrow, suspicious. “What are you gonna do?”
She waved you off. “Nothing, just let me see!”
Without a second thought, Minjeong unlocked it—using her fingerprint, much to your surprise.
“Wait, why is your fingerprint in my phone?” you asked, narrowing your eyes at her.
Minjeong waved you off, too focused on tapping away on the screen.
Your eyes narrowed as you leaned closer, trying to see what she was up to. Just as you were about to ask again, your eyes widened in horror—she had just hit the "follow back" button. Without thinking, you snatched the phone from her as quickly as possible.
"What the hell, Minjeong!" you groaned, shoving her shoulder, though not quite enough to knock her off the bench much to your dissapointment. Minjeong just laughed, completely unbothered by your reaction.
"Why did you follow her back?" you complained, staring at the screen in disbelief. But before you could even process it, you set your phone down—a mistake you regretted instantly. Ningning, sitting across the table, swooped in like a hawk and snatched it.
“You—!” You reached out to snatch it back, but Ningning kept it out of reach, cackling as she typed.
“There!” she said, beaming proudly as she set your phone back down. You immediately grabbed it, your eyes widening even further as you saw what she had done
She had sent a message to Haerin.
And not just any message
Tumblr media
It was the corniest approach ever.
You groaned, your heart dropping as you immediately tried to unsend them. But just as you hit the button, you saw the dreaded notification.
Tumblr media
“Oh my god, she saw it,” you whispered in horror, your face heating up—though whether it was from embarrassment or sheer panic, you couldn’t tell.
“I’m going to kill every single one of you,” you muttered, dropping your head onto the table in defeat as your friends erupted into laughter around you. Their giggles only fueled your mortification, and you couldn’t help but wish for the ground to swallow you whole.
clementine
synopsis: this time of the year isn't the easiest for you, but nikolai is here to take care of everything when you lose sight of the sweetness in life...
content: fem!reader, comfort, fluff
Tumblr media
Nikolai knows you haven't been sleeping well.
So when he saw you bundled up on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket akin to a caterpillar in its cocoon, he couldn't control himself or help the way his heart rate picked up.
He's already kneeling to your level while you’re still sleeping on the sofa to push back some of the hair falling over your face with one hand, the other swimming through the sea of softness to search and take hold of your hand in his. He didn’t mind you were taking a nap in the afternoon—getting to see your peaceful face and knowing that you’re finally able to get some rest after days of difficulty was enough for him to stay content.
He’s patient, not rushing you to wake up like how he would do sometimes in the mornings. You’re not feeling well, so he keeps all his antics stored and locked away for a time not so dull. He tries his hardest to control the urge to coddle you because he knows you need your space, but his heart aches for you anyway, and it is almost unbearable.
You just look so adorable.
He does have to admit, that he feels a bit bad thinking these kinds of thoughts while you're like this, but he can't help it.
A huff of air leaves you when you feel someone plop down next to you, their weight making you sink into the couch further, their hands trailing down your arms, finding their abode on your waist. You'd regained consciousness a few minutes ago, and heard him while he was walking around the living room, but couldn't bring yourself to open your eyelids yet when they still felt so heavy.
But he seems to catch on anyway when he curls up closer to you, his fluffy hair tickling you and his thumb running across the soft skin of your cheek when he becomes aware that you're awake.
This small couch was barely big enough to fit the both of you. He thinks he'll go furniture shopping with you soon, only if you feel like going out, of course.
He notices how you struggle. The way your energy levels dip, and the way your usual sparkle fades as the days grow shorter and darker.
That's why he'll gently suggest going for a walk in the crisp autumn air at times, hoping that exposure to natural light can help alleviate some worries off your mind and lift your mood. He'll offer to wrap you up in layers of warmth and accompany you on a stroll through the colorful foliage, providing his unwavering company as a source of solace and strength. And he'll wipe your tears away when you cry to him, telling him that you can't bring yourself to. He'll reassure you and tell you that everything is okay, pulling you into his comforting embrace, determined to hold your hand and walk by your side through the darkness while holding onto the belief that you can weather this storm.
Nikolai thinks you're too hard on yourself.
He thinks you don't treat yourself as nicely as he does to you and it makes him deeply upset—breaks his heart, so to speak. But he knows how difficult it can be. So, he feels the least he could do was be here for you when you're at your lowest, just like you always are when he's at his.
“Nikolai,” you call out to him, keeping your eyes still shut, aware of his presence close to you.
"Dove," he responds, his eyes glistening when he hears your voice. "How about we go out today? You need some sunshine," he suggests to you in a gentle voice accompanied by a signature dorky smile spread on his face.
Your eyelashes flutter as you open your eyes to find him leaning over you, one look at his face being enough to dispel some fatigue, always bringing you back down to earth when you’re floating.
"But you're right here," you say, your hands finding themselves in his hair to play with the braid that falls over his shoulder.
Nikolai is and has always been caring towards you, and moments like these serve as a reminder of who you're truly in a relationship with. His tough exterior was something you’ve always been aware of but never been afraid of. Not after he's shown you that beneath that exterior was hiding something soft, buried underneath layers and layers of faux fortitude.
Nikolai himself wasn't able to conceal his bashfulness. No matter how resilient he pretended to be and tried to appear, you always managed to shatter him with the right words laced with such potent fervor that never failed to permeate his mind.
He pulls away from you momentarily and rises to his feet to slowly draw back the curtains, making sure to do so with deliberate care in his actions so the light doesn't hurt your eyes. As he steps back, he nearly loses his footing as he slips on something but manages to steady himself in time before sparing a glance at the ground to see what the culprit is. The playing cards are still scattered across the floor, remnants from the impromptu dramatic performance he put on in the living room yesterday, all in an attempt to see your precious smile that he hasn't gotten the opportunity to catch a glimpse of as of late. A part of him wishes he had tumbled, for the chance he would get to hear your laughter again.
When he returns to you, he helps you sit up and drapes the blanket around you and over your shoulders. Although the sunlight streaming through the window gives you an ethereal glow, he finds the paleness of your skin as a result of insufficient sunlight and nutrients hard to ignore.
Nikolai knows you haven't been taking care of yourself as much as you should be.
He waits for you to notice it—the fresh bowl of fruit he prepared and placed on the table just for you. The clementines he'd bought from his grocery run this morning because they were finally in season and he knew you'd been wanting to have some.
But when you don't move, he picks up a slice of the citrus himself and holds it up to your lips. With tired eyes looking up at him, you part your lips, letting him feed you the fruit. The sweet juice bursts on your tongue, and you press a kiss on the pad of his thumb, relishing in the way it lingers for a moment before he pulls it away. For some odd reason, you feel like it tastes sweeter when he feeds it to you.
As if you weren't already feeling warm from his affection, he sets your cheeks ablaze with a flustered heat when he cradles your face with both of his hands while you chew the fruit. He waits for you to finish before playfully squeezing your cheeks in his hands to make your lips pouty, placing the most gentle of kisses upon them, only then releasing when he feels warmth slowly crawl up from your ears to your face.
Your eyes close to savor his adoration, absent of the knowledge of unimaginable tenderness swimming in the pair of eyes staring at you right now. Your fingers loosely wrap around the wrists connected to hands that are caressing your face so softly, careful touches on your skin followed by lips ghosting over the crown of your head before coming to a stop.
Oh—right. He wasn't supposed to be doing this, not now. He shouldn't be bothering you in this way, not until you feel better, at least.
Taking this into consideration, Nikolai reluctantly lets go of you and moves intending to rest against the pillow next to your lap—where he originally would've placed his head. However, on second thought, he decides not to after a thought pervades his mind of how you might not want his weight on you when you're already carrying so much burden.
It wasn't until he felt fingers trailing up his own, seeking his touch again, that the thought quickly diminished and made him halt his movements. Raising his head to see you looking down at him with that gleam in your eyes that he missed oh so much confirmed it for him, that look that always revealed the want to have him closer to you.
So he fulfills that wish for you, moving over to your lap and shifting to a position with heedfulness where the both of you could feel comfortable, but mainly just for you.
Nikolai never wants to be a nuisance. He just wants to make you feel better, no matter how long that takes.
Because in the end, he always knew that sweetness would follow up the bitterness.
Your presence in his own life was living proof of that.
Request: You know that scene from The Show must go on with Charlie and Vaggie singing the reprise of "More Than Anything" On the night before the battle? Well can you do that but with Husk and his s/o with the two either singing or talking about how much has happened but they’ll always stand by each other’s side even if they’re freaking terrified about the outcome of it all and saying the word “I love you” for the first time in the process
ofc i can do that!! this is so cute and husk has my heart so haha
Warnings: Reader basically takes Angel’s place in this, Mentions of Drinking, Mentions of Death, Mentions of War
Tumblr media
“More Than Anything”
“I guess you really have changed.” Husk said, giving you a soft smile.
“Hey.. Charlie said we could live tonight however we wanted.” You started, smiling back at him, “So pour me a fresh one, and let’s get to living!”
You watched as Husk crossed over to the other side of the bar to prepare your drink, you let out a dreamily sigh that felt like it was being held in forever.
Husk had only entered your life a few mere months ago, but you don’t think you’ve ever cared for someone so…lovingly.
Truth be told, you didn’t know how far this would go, if he even felt the same, hell, if you both even survived tomorrow. But you didn’t care.
When you were with Husk, it felt like you could be the weirdest, saddest, happiest, angriest, silliest, and most fucked up version of yourself without judgement. And…it was a little strange.
Hell wasn’t the kindest place to you, and neither was your life on Earth, but that didn’t matter.
Husk would be there to put all the broken pieces of your heart back together, sure, they were only binded by mere pieces of figurative glue or tape, but even with the most crappy materials that belonged in a kindergarten classroom, Husk would be able to put it together good as new.
After a short conversation with Husk, you went over to Charlie and hugged her, thanking her for everything the hotel has given you. It looked like she was about to cry right then and there.
While you were at it, you went over to Pentious, thanking him for being one of your closest friends while at the hotel, and wished him good luck in the battle, and good luck winning Cherri’s heart, patting him on the back before you left.
Then… you snuck off. You stood against the wall, feeling tears prick in your eyes, little did you know a certain cat approached you.
“You snuck away.” He stated. “What happened?” He asked, coming over to your side, leaning against the wall.
Neither of you made eye contact, instead you both just stared at the other side of the wall.
“I’m just so scared…” You mumble, your voice cracking, the water works spilling out of your eyes.
You wiped your eyes, trying to stop hiccups from escaping your lips, “What if we lose?”
Husk sighed, bitting his lip, he wasn’t ready to say this, but this could possibly be the last chance he had to do so, “Then at least I’ll die with you by my side.”
Your head whipped around to face him, surely you heard him wrong! “Huh? Wha— What do you mean?”
He took a breath in, turning to his body completely to face you, “I… I know this is sudden, but if I die tomorrow, if you die tomorrow, I need you to know that you made me a better man.” Husk said, looking into your eyes, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
“If tomorrow, one of us is gone, you need to know I love you more than anything.” Husk whispered, holding your face in his paws.
Your foreheads connected, feeling eachothers hot breath on your face, and all you could do, is lean in, and kiss the man who made you feel whole again.
Can I please request a fic where Dusty the Deathclaw has a close call? Like maybe the Enclave or the Brotherhood of Steel, or raiders, got in a lucky shot on Dusty’s belly. And this DEVASTATES the reader enough to go full John Wick on the person who shot Dusty, even to the point that Cooper is like “Oh Damn”. Cause they hurt the WRONG wasteland baby!
I had a lot of fun with this one and it gave me an excuse to head down to the Capitol Wasteland. Ignore the janky timelines ❤️
*so sorry that this took a while to get out. Life does a good job of getting in the way sometimes @odditycircus-2002. I hope you enjoy! ❤️*
You aren't a fan of the Capitol Wasteland. The weather is shit, and she and Cooper had been shot at no less than eight times in the two weeks they'd arrived. This pocket of the wasteland felt even more dangerous to be in, especially with the rumor of a slaver group in the area. You and Cooper had agreed to avoid them as best you could, but that still left the rest of the factions the two of you needed to keep an eye out for.
The BOS left the three of you alone for the most part whenever they happened to cross your path, Dusty had even made a friend with the dark skinned lady named Cross. Raiders were raiders, but the problems really started when she and Cooper stumbled across another group. The Enclave.
Even after the destruction of Raven Rock, pockets of the old world faction still remained. The day was coming to an end when laser fire suddenly accosted the trio of wanderers. They dove for the cover of nearby rocks and grab for their own weapons. Dusty roars loud enough that your ears ring and charge ahead, furious milky eyes zeroed in on the men in suits of power armor.
"Fuck. That's the Enclave," Cooper snarls beside you, and you whip around to stare up at him in horror. Out of all the factions that they could have run into, it had to be one of the most dangerous ones. They were righteous zealots who dreamed of wiping the earth clean of all mutated creatures.
This was the one faction that would have the kind of firepower to actually hurt their deadly companion, and you felt fear grip your heart when rapid laser fire fell upon Dusty. The creature snarled and gnashed his teeth, dropping down to his front arms to sprint forward and close the distance between himself and the Elclave member who had the gatling laser.
"Dusty!" You scream and run forward, ducking behind rocks and burnt out cars in your bid to get to the deathclaw. Cooper rubs right behind you, taking pot shots at the line of figures that stand on top of the cliffs above them. One woman screams as a bullet catches her in the leg, and she goes tumbling off the cliff to hit the ground, dead.
The deathclaw rips through the men and woman who don't have powe armor, blood and gore flying in all directions, and painting his golden scales red. You arrive in time to see a man in power armor rip something off his back and onto his shoulder. The weapon glows a terrible blue, and you watch in slow motion as a bolt of electrified plasma flew through the air and struck Dusty in the chest.
The deathclaw goes down with a howl of anguish, rearing back to expose the blackened flesh of his soft underbelly. His scales crack and melt off, and Dusty falls to the side, the ground shaking when his weight meets the earth.
Cooper hears you scream, and the sound rattles him. It's full of pain and fury, rage, and disbelief. He watches you drop your weapon and dash forward, throwing yourself at the man who shot Dusty. You cling to the man, feet finding foothold as your fingers dig into the neck paneling of the suit and rip at the tubing and wires that connect to the helmet.
Steam erupts from the power armor, and the man jerks around, stumbling as half of his suit loses power. You find the latch to the helmet and rip it off, exposing the face of the terrified man who dared try and kill Dusty.
The ghoul shouts your name when the two of you tip over, the power armor useless now that its systems have been compromised. You appear seconds later, wielding your side arm. You shoot the man in the face until the chamber runs dry, shoulders heaving and teeth bared in an animalistic snarl.
With the fight over, with any other remaining Enclave having fled the scene, you turn on your heel and run to Dusty. You drop to your knees beside the whining creature and reach for his massive head, hands gently smoothing over his dangerous horns as you whisper reassurances to your baby.
"Is okay, sweetheart. I'm right here. Can you let momma see?" You coo, and Dusty lifts his head, moving just enough that you can see the awful wound left behind from the tesla cannon. Dusty whuffs and grunts, obvious sounds of pain falling from his maw.
"Cooper, bring me my bag," you order, and the ghoul does so without a word. You dig around until you can find your stash of chems and drag out the med-x and stim-packs you have. You have no idea if these would work, but you had to try.
"I need to see it, Dusty," you murmur, and Dusty shoves his head forward and into your lap, looking for comfort, and you easily give it to him. You hold his head close to your chest, and the beast breaths in your scents deeply, his milky eyes closing as he begins to calm down.
You look at Cooper, and the ghoul sighs, but he takes the medical supplies from you. He goes about moving around the deathclaw until he can see the burn. The med-x goes first, and then he injects four stim-packs around the wound.
The chems seem to work, for it isn't long before the deathclaw relaxes, his body sagging forward, and you grunt as you take his weight. His breathing evened out, and Cooper watched in muted fascination as the wound began to knit back together. He sighs and plops down in the dirt beside you.
You lean into him, and Cooper wraps his arm around your waist as best he can, kissing the side of your head. Silent tears stream down your face as relief sweeps through your body.
"He'll be alright, smoothskin. Dusty's tougher than he looks."
Springtime Fushiguros♪
Context-: exploring the memories of childhood of fushiguros, marking the spring time of you and satoru gojo.
Basically im traumatized by all the stuff going on in jjk universe, so imma create my own happiness.
Tumblr media
The pink cherry petals covered the grounds, sweet smell lingering in the air, distant laughs of some family echoed from the field you were wandering in, thinking about the reason, he might have called you here.
Satoru gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer to be alive suddenly called you last night, after having months of no conversation. He said he needed a favour from you, what on the earth could it be?
It couldn't be related to any sorcery since you weren't in this field, atleast now you weren't. Moreover, he has the potential to wipe out an entire country with his limitless. He is the first member in his clan to inherit six eyes, his birth distorted the balance of the world. What favour would he need from someone like you?
Or maybe it's the higher ups!
Your eyes widened, chest tightened, almost struggling to take a proper breath at this thought. There's no way this would happen. You had been carefull. Carefull not to let it out.
'Sup!' your thoughts were cut short by the voice of the white haired guy, as you turned to face him. He was in his regular student uniform. Eyes as deep as the mysterious blue sea peeked from the sunglasses. He had a playful face as always, though you sensed something off in it and you knew what it was. Others might not notice but you do. You always have.
'I might not be much of help yk right?' you smiled a bit at him nervous at what demand he might make.
'Ahh, it's not something like that. I'm not forcing you, but—' his voice trails, maybe finding right words, 'I would like you to take care of someone.' He hesitated a bit, rubbing his hand on his neck, his eyes directed to a bench on the field.
Your heart skipped a beat.
Two kids. A glum faced boy, probably 5 or 6 years old, and a cute girl who seemed a bit older than the boy. They are probably siblings.
You should have known he was never yours.
'Zeni'ns.' he said fixing his sunglasses. The girl smiled a bit at you which you gladly reciprocated, while the guy refused to glance you a look. 'Umm, what did you say?' you asked again, not paying much attention before, busy observing the kids. (Not to mention your heart which was breaking in pieces)
'They are zeni'ns.'
'Zeni'ns?? They are not your kids?'
Gojo be like-: ಠಿヮಠ
'I'm 18. How could you expect me to have my own kids?' he said being sceptical.
A brief wave of relief washed your nerves. 'Oh' you couldn't help but let out a chuckle at your overthinking.
'They are Fushiguros—' gojo started to explain when, 'you just said that they were zeni'ns.'
'Would you lemme finish? They are basically toji's kids. He took in his late wife's last name.' a shudder ran through your spine at the mention of his name. How can he be so calm while talking about it?
He continued, 'Before his death, he mentioned about his kid, Megumi. Megumi fushiguro. The kid is about to be sold to the zenin clan.'
'But he's just a kid!'
'yeah, I don't think none of us would want that. So, i would take care of that and the financial support of both Megumi and his step sister Tsumiki fushiguro. But the problem is I won't be there all the time to look at them, as I'm continuously assigned with new missions.'
'So, you want me to supervise? I can do that, but I can't be much to prote—' he cuts off your words.
'Nah! Don't worry about that. I will protect the three of you. I want us to raise them together. While we date.'
You could believe your ears, when he said the last part. You had always liked satoru gojo, and once even drunk confessed him, embarrassing yourself to death. He never answered that though. Everything after that took a form of such stormy blunder. Satoru had to go through all those horrible situations, losing someone very close to him. A memory you hate and desperately want to trade. Everything fell apart and you all drifted away. And when you decided to leave, for everyone's safety including yours, satoru wasn't there.
'kk. I will help you raise them.' you gladly accepted, shooting a kind look at the kids. This was a dream come true to you. A family. You desired it desperately, wanting to have a family, ever since you lost yours.
'Thanks. Move in with me then.'
'Sure.' you smiled to yourself.
And that was the first time you saw Megumi and Tsumiki fushiguro, taking them in, staring your new life with Satoru gojo.
A new trail of memories are yet to be traced in the springtime of your life.
By Primus’s Will Pt.3
A/N: I’m sorry for the long wait between chapters! I’m currently moving and have been swamped with completing art commissions to help fund said move. ^^
TW: talk of wounds, blood, talk of death
"Thank you human." You looked up at him, still nervous over the fact that an alien robot sat in your garage.
"Y/N. You can call me Y/N" He nodded and closed his eyes, continuing to let you try and work on his side.
You wiped some of the sweat from your forehead and put the dirty rag over your shoulder. You had gotten his bleeding to stop temporarily, but you knew it wouldn’t last long. Especially if he woke up and tried to leave.
Turning and looking at out the door to the shed you saw the trail of blue “blood” beginning to dry and stain the floors of the shed. You filled a bucket with water from a tap in the back of the shed and tossed the water onto the concrete floor. You grabbed a brush broom and began to scrub at the spots.
You heard sirens racing near your house and looked back towards the road. An ambulance came racing towards your shed, nearly running you over before transforming into another tall robot.
“Where is Optimus Human!? He needs my attention!” You pointed into the shed, where he had to lean down to see into the building’s doorway and he dashed inside kneeling to look at his friend.
“I’m guessing you’re who he referred to as ‘Ratchet’? I’m Y/N, it’s nice to meet you.” He stayed silent, studying Optimus’s wounds and your handy work of his bandages.
“I tried my best to bandage him up. I don’t know how your bodies work-“ He turned around quickly and stared at you “Do you always talk so much? You know nothing about us yet you seem so calm and collected. Does our presence not scare you?”
You flinched at his words, realizing he was right, but you were scared at the two gigantic beings in front of you. “Trust me, I am absolutely terrified. But your friend was hurt. And bad. I don’t know where you two came from or what you’re doing in my garage. But I don’t want you to lose a friend because of a bad fall from space.”
You turned and started to leave the garage, huffing to yourself when a voice called out. “Wait Miss/Mr. Y/N. I want to thank you, and I want to apologize for my friend, we've grown custom to not trusting everyone we come across. And our situation is not very common, so your level-headedness during this has been surprising to say the least." You paused as he spoke, still facing the door to leave, and shook your head. "Don't worry about it. I can't say I blame him." You turned and walked out of the garage, still hurt by the quick judgement from Ratchet. “Stay here as long as you need. I’m going to close these doors so nobody can see you from the outside. If you need me, open the door and honk your horn once. I’ll hear you.”
Before either of them could say anything else you closed the doors and went into your house. The hot air of the desert was thick and you were happy to get back inside and cool off in the comfort of your home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Optimus’s POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ratchet watched every step Y/N took, careful to make sure they didn’t try to do anything hostile against either of us. Trusting somebody entirely new, and of a different race, would be hard. Not only for Ratchet and I, but for every other Cybertronian who came to Earth and tried to form any kind of alliance with the humans.
“Ratchet-“ A cough rattled through my chest, making an awful echo in the garage. I covered my mouth, drops of energon falling into my open palm. “Lay down Optimus. Your condition is only getting worse, I need to patch you up immediately.”
“If you hadn’t been so worried about talking to that human maybe you would be in better sha-“ I looked up at him as he caught himself, before groaning as Ratchet pulled out a large chunk of what looked like a rock, it’s tip covered in bright blue fluid.
“She/He patched you up well enough to keep you stable.. Impressive..” Ratchet dropped the rock and began working, his large hands working efficiently and quickly, stopping the bleeding much better than it had been before. “If it weren’t for Y/N, who knows what condition I would’ve been in by the time you arrived.”
He nodded, keeping his eyes focused on my side as I sat back up, making sure the wound stayed closed. “Y/N seems wonderful Optimus, They do, but we can’t go trusting a random Human just because they helped us. We’ve never had good luck with humans, all they want is to destroy us and use us for parts.”
Wrong. Bumblebee had a wonderful Human friend, he was the first scout sent here, instructed to stay hidden amongst the humans. Until a decepticon scout had managed to track him down. “How is Bumblebee? Have you managed to fix his speech yet?”
Ratchet turned away, sighing. “No, his voice is..irreparable. I’m still baffled he even survived that ambush.” If only I had been here to protect him. “And what of his human?” He looked back at me this time, shaking his head.
“Unfortunately she didn’t make it. Bee is lost without her, they were partners for 3 years. And he blames himself for her death.” I couldn’t help the frown that spread across my face. “I could’ve saved them both.”
“Optimus-“
“I could’ve saved them, Ratchet. It’s my fault Bee is injured, and it’s my fault that his friend passed away.” The door to the garage slid open, and Y/N stood there, refusing to make eye contact with Ratchet.
“I want to know who you are, and what you all are fighting for.” They turned to look at Ratchet, scowling at him. “I can help more than you think. And you can use this garage for whatever you may need.”
