CAPTAIN CURLY SMUT HEADCANNONS !! NSFW under the cut. MDNI.
(These are all completely random, not tied to any prompt. I just want more stuff about this guy cuz I love him) Fandom/characters: Mouthwashing, Captain Curly, other characters briefly mentioned.
Content warning: Smut (obviously), p in v, curlys packing, title kink, thigh-riding, face-sitting, size difference, manhandling, reader is AFAB, creampie, multiple rounds, riding, cursing, J*mmy.
Tumblr media
-He's a grower, not a shower.
I firmly believe Curly is a distinguished gentleman, unlike J*mmy who would most likely brag about how big he is and end up only being like, 5 or 6 inches. Curly, however, will not mention his size until you see it for yourself. And when he sees your face, he panics. "Oh-shit, uh- i-is it gonna be too big for you? It's okay if it is, I should've warned you.."
He's four inches soft, uncut. I think he keeps himself decently groomed. He's not completely bare, but it isn't a forest. He's got a little v-line that's only visible when he wears sweatpants that you go absolutely feral over. When he gets hard, whoo boy. 9 inches, throbbing. He's got a cute little vein near his tip that you like to attack when you're sucking him off because it makes his thighs shake. He's got a little bit of a mushroom tip, maybe more rounded. Perfect for hitting all those good spots inside you. In short, he's big. (he tucks it, that's why he doesn't have a bulge in his sprites. Also I'm sorry trans-Curly headcannon people ;-;)
-"Need a seat? I'll volunteer."
VEEEEEERRRYYY into face-sitting. Very. Like, the first thing he wants when you guys get freaky is for you to sit on his face. He's not exactly sure why he likes it, to be honest, he just loves the feeling of you absolutely lose yourself on his tongue. He isn't worried about suffocating or anything, since he's a lot bigger than you, so don't be afraid to ride his face! he can handle it! But seriously, use this guy as a seat. He'd give you a few licks up your slit at first to warm you up (again, gentleman) before going for your clit. And when he gets it, he sucks. Hard. He'd also probably sneak a finger or two inside you to add extra stimulation, because he really wants you to come on his face. He desperately yearns for the sound of you screaming his name as your juices cover his face and tongue, letting you ride your orgasm out before lifting you off his face and setting you down. "Alright, sweet-stuff, my turn. On your knees, please."
-Save a Polle, ride his big ass thighs.
So... we've all seen his sprite. He's thick as fuck. He's got a booty and bigger tits than me. But he also has deliciously large thighs.. so use that to your advantage, because he's totally down with it. He likes using it as foreplay to get you wet enough to take him, and he just likes the feeling. He'll probably give himself a hand while you're doing it, or he'll just watch and leave the touching to you.
He isn't much for public sex, but if you're really horny, he'll let you get high on his thigh over his uniform and gently praise you when you come. It gives him a little buzz to be doing something like that in a risky situation, like while he's in the cockpit sitting at the control panel, or even in the commons of the ship with Daisuke in a few rooms away. When you do come, which isn't that long after, he'll kiss you all over your face and head and twirl your hair in his fingers, using his other hand to rub your ass or back.
"There you go, sweetheart, that's a good girl. Good job."
-Sir yes sir.
I know, I know. He gets called 'Captain' and 'Sir' for his job. But if its coming from you when he's balls deep in you.. It's an entirely different reaction.
"D-did.. you just call me- mgh..- Captain?"
It makes him ferociously horny to hear that title slip from your lips, so pray you'll still walk tomorrow. "Ooh, fuck, yeahhh. Call me that again, baby. Call me that again.. Uh-huh. Captain takin' care of this pretty lil' pussy, huh.."
He doesn't dirty talk that explicitly, but you calling him captain gets his creative juices flowing. Oh, also his come. Yeah..
Its also perfect teasing material. You two couldn't even be getting it on, you'd just sneak up behind him and kiss him on the cheek and say "Morning, Captain!" In that tone you know drives him wild. Boom, hard. Poor guy.
-Yeehaw!
favorite position? Cowgirl. For many reasons. One, he loves looking at your face while you ride his cock. The noises, the facial expressions you make, the way your tits bounce up and down with your hips.. He wishes it was a renaissance painting to look at every morning. He also just likes being able to hold you easily. When you're on his lap, its easier for him to snake a hand up and hold your hair out of your face, or to give your ass gentle love taps (he would never spank you, unless asked to). He's a very hands-on guy and wants to touch you, everywhere he can.
Of course, he doesn't mind the occasional doggy, or missionary, or hell, even a Full Nelson, because you KNOW he's able to hold you like that. Manhandling comes naturally with Curly. Gently, of course. He would never hurt you.
-Gets a little messy.
Curly's no one pump chump. He'll go for hours. Even if he's came inside you at least five times, he'll keep going. He's got hella impressive stamina. His motivation? Seeing your cunt leaking his seed when he pulls out. He wants you to still find it in your underwear 3 days later. No hole goes unfilled. He's not exactly a breeder, per-say, though he definitely wouldn't complain about getting you pregnant, he just likes seeing you in a state. He thinks of it as artwork, leaving you so stuffed to the brim. The next day, he'd pull you aside and give you a quick finger-orgasm, just to see if his come's still in there. When it leaks onto his fingers along with your own, he's a very happy man. "Ahh, look at that. Still got it in ya. Should fill you up even more later, hm?"

Ahhh it's been 65 years, and I feel kinda crazy that I've had this sitting in my drafts for like 2 months. Assuming most readers of Missing Moments are also The Art of Being Seen readers- there's some hefty lore here that will come into play later.
prev/ next
Olive: Time to move on, right Kia?
[phone pings]
Nancy: Hello darling. Do you have a moment to talk?
Olive: Who’s this?
Olive: I don’t recall saying yes.
Nancy: [sighs] It feels so good to hear your voice again.
Olive: I only answered to tell you to block me.
Nancy: I would never.
Olive: Even though I asked?
Nancy: Well. I am incredibly selfish.
Olive: Why did you call me?
Nancy: I would like to see you, Olivia. Please.
Olive: I’m not for sale, sorry.
Nancy: I know. I wouldn’t want to meet on those terms again. If I could do it all over, I would have asked you to have dinner with me when I met you. I would have courted you properly, Olivia.
Olive: [scoffs] You would have gone to a strip club and asked a stripper to have dinner with you? Seriously? When would we have ever met under any other circumstance? It’s been made very clear to me how different we are. The only way this would have happened was if it were a fairy tale.
Nancy: What matters is, I have met you. I’ve experienced you and I can’t go back. My husband- my ex husband- he signed the petition for our divorce. I came out to him- officially. It’s over.
Olive: [stunned] That’s- that’s great. I am so happy for you-
Nancy: I’m leaving all of it. I’m starting over. All I want is you, if you’ll have me.
Olive: [sighs]
Nancy: Let’s just have one dinner and after we’ve talk, then you can decide. There’s so much I want to say, but I want to look you in the eyes as I say it.
Olive: One dinner?
Nancy: One dinner.
Nancy: May I see you tonight? I’ll send my driver and I’ll cook for you at my place. Anything you like.
Olive: Tonight is fine.. sure.
Nancy: [sighs happily] It’ll be hard not to kiss you the moment I see you-
Olive: Not too much, lover girl. It’s one dinner and I’m still very annoyed with you about all this, ok?
Nancy: Yes, my love. I’ll see you tonight.
Olive: And don’t look at me like that. It’s just dinner and a conversation, ok? I am not going to sleep with her ok?
Malcolm: Well. Now I see why my mother was so willing to ruin an entire empire over you. Those mugshots did you no justice.
Olive: What is this? Where’s Nancy?
Malcolm: I noticed our driver was heading this way, I figured I’d tag along. Sight see. Get in. Let’s chat.
Malcolm: I wonder if this feels like dejavu to my mother. She makes yet another thoughtless mistake and someone comes along to make it all go away. She has a nasty habit of that, you know.
Olive: Listen. I’m not feeling whatever family drama you all have going on. I don’t want to talk to you. I want to talk to Nancy.
Malcolm: I was raised by a narcissistic liar and a spineless coward. If I let this company fall apart, then wouldn’t it all had been for nothing?
Olive: [scoffs] So you want pity? I’m suppose to pity you? Give me a break.
Malcolm: Not pity, no. If anything, I pity you.
Olive: Is that right?
Malcolm: When it comes to success, you pale in comparison to your half siblings. You’ve financially crippled your parents in legal fees since your arrest and all you have to show for it is by shaking ass in a low end strip club in the Spice District. That’s right, I know alot about you Olivia Briar.
Malcolm: I know about that quaint little family of yours down in the country. I know about your niece’s struggling restaurant and her undocumented partner. Funny, he’s able to acquire loans under a fake name but there’s no records of a Noa Briar anywhere. I wonder what else your family is hiding.
Olive: [shaken] What is this about? Are you threatening me? What the fuck do you want?
Malcolm: I’m here to help you, not hurt you. One of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learned was the power of the dollar. I can make a lot of your problems go away with one deposit if you do just one thing.
Olive: [softly] ....What?
Malcolm: We’re going to turn around and park in front of your building. You’re going to go upstairs, pack up your things and then, you’re going to go back home to sweet old Henford. You’ll pay your parents back with the money you’ll receive from this arrangement and you’ll help your niece and nephew. All your problems - poof- gone.
Malcolm: All you have to do is walk away, and stay away. You see, my mother has a nasty debt to this family she still needs to pay. Don’t make it your burden.

as the grandchild of survivors of the Second World War on both sides, this has been a really hard thing for me to internalize. none of my grandparents (nor my parents) talked about WWII much. I don’t actually know that much about what my families were doing, only that it was bad. I have an entire branch of my family tree that’s just gone and (supposedly) no one knows why. where I grew up in Canada had a lot of Holocaust survivors because we had large Dutch and German communities already, and every year until I graduated high school, we were fortunate enough to hear firsthand stories from survivors.
the one thing my grandparents would say and those survivors would repeat in their talks, over and over, until it was seared in my brain: “Never look away. You can’t let this happen again. The least you can do is never look away.”
I took this lesson very seriously. I was plugged in to the news all the time. I felt so helpless and useless and hopeless, but I wasn’t going to do the people suffering through it the disservice of looking away. I donated my money and my time and hoped to get into international aid, even joined the military because Canada is the nation of peacekeepers (Listen, I was a kid lol) and Gen. Roméo Dallaire, the Canadian who led the peacekeeping mission in Rwanda, was my hero. (Even as it ruined his life.)
I don’t know if anyone reading this had this same experience. I don’t know many people IRL who had this message drilled in so completely. (Being a white first-generation Canadian as a millennial is like that sometimes.) And I ended up breaking. I just couldn’t keep watching everything and being utterly unable to do a damn thing about it. It made me feel like a bad person and like I failed not only my grandparents but all those who shared their stories, so few of them who are still alive to do so.
Thing is, my grandparents got their news from film reels and this new thing called radio. The photos and documentation they saw from the time, both now and contemporaneously, was sparse and edited and targeted, for better or worse. None thought we would someday live in a world where individual people can upload hours of no-context atrocities from anywhere at any time.
Obviously, the “Never Again” and “Don’t look away” aren’t literal, but the way we pay attention now is different than they would’ve in the 1940’s or 1970’s. No one taught me how to stay true to something that has become a core value while not collapsing into compassion and empathy fatigue to the point where I have to look away.
I don’t have an answer on that balance yet, but just understanding that there does need to be one has been incredibly helpful. That doomscrolling isn’t helping anyone. That paying attention doesn’t mean knowing everything about everything at all times. We have more information by orders of magnitude than even existed in my grandparents’ lifetimes. We have to choose what “not looking away” looks like for each of us in the cultural and activism environments we live in. No one is more virtuous or caring because they’ve exposed themselves to more trauma than someone else. It’s not sustainable. You’ve gotta keep your oxygen mask on.
A video that was really helpful in me noodling this out—it’s been a lifelong project, and I’m sure it will continue to be—was Hank Green’s vlog on Webs of Care.
None of us can do everything, but all of us can do anything.
Hi. Things are bleak, I know that. I know that we paid for Trump's last term with blood and it is likely the price will be blood again.
But listen to me. LISTEN.
You do not have to force yourself to witness horrors as an act of activism. It is not a form of activism. You can put your phone down, you can block that horrific video. We cannot win if you cannot fight and you will not be able to fight if you are hopeless.
Do not let them guilt you into this. People who are exhausted are easier to walk over. Take care of yourself, find community where you find joy.

Inducing PC vs your power
You can manifest a wish book that grants every desire you write in it You can manifest a new face You can manifest a cookie
I don’t think you understand the weight of this title. There’s no logic if you assume it’s possible than it is. That means if you want to manifest an entire list of desires it has the same gravity than one singular affirmation. 16 desires = 1 desire. Because there is no logic it is just how it is. You are the one that puts resistance too it. You are the one that decides it’s harder because it’s multiple things. Have we forgotten this is your reality? You make the rules. If that’s what you think then that’s exactly how it will happen.
I was looking at the difference of stuff people manifest when inducing pure consciousness and regular manifesting and I noticed something that should be brought to light. You guys are a lot more care free with your manifestations in your void lists than in general. You can manifest literally anything you want. You want a wish book that grants your wish as soon as you write it down? A unicorn that shape shifts into a dog so no one will ever know? A door to another world like Coraline? An app that takes you to your desired reality? A friend who believes in LOA? You can have it. All of it. This is the type of stuff people will put in their void lists. Now I’m not sayin it as a bad thing. Do what you want. I just want to debunk why this is.
People find it more possible to get it when they are PC. When manifesting something like a safe word to take you into another world it’s easier to believe inducing PC will make it more possible than assuming. Because you would have to affirm the safe word whether the 3d conforms or not you have to not care or control your thoughts to that level. It kind of feels like gaslighting yourself when it’s not. You internally shifted when you said that safe word your external doesn’t matter. But then again what’s the point of the sw it was supposed to take you there physically as well as internally and I get it it’s hard to live in the end when their are situations like this in which you don’t know how to live in the end.
Let go. If you honestly had your desires would really be affirming 24/7 for it. Like actually. Don’t you have other things to do. I think you’ll find if you apply what I said above you will stop caring about your desires you might even resent them but that won’t stop them from being yours if they already inevitably are. Maybe you do need to affirm 24/7 to destroy subconscious beliefs that stop you from assuming with ease. I’ll make a separate post on how it’s easy to remove subconscious beliefs and how you guys overcomplicate it. But seriously you have what you want stop being so jittery imagination should be the goal reprogram your mind to think like that you don’t have to do so much you’ll end up doing it from lack. All you have to do is not go back on yourself. And leave it at that. Or make your own rules.
By putting all your trust in PC you've put it on a pedestal have with-holded power from yourself if you don't have to do anything to manifest as PC then you don't have to do anything to manifest without it.
The advice I give to people who struggle with comprehending any of the previous information is make your own rules. frustrated with all of what I said in the above right? make your own rules then. You are the one making this hard on yourself. Label it rules of manifesting.
Ex. of rules you can make
Doubting DOESN’T affect your manifestation being yours.
Wavering DOESN’T affect your desire being yours.
You manifest instantly.
Your notebook which you named ( insert name ) grants you every wish you write down no matter what not even your thoughts can change it because it becomes inevitable.
The more you dont believe in the rules the more real they are and the more instant your manifestations are
Despite any limiting beliefs my desire are inevitable
Literally anything you want.
Be delusional about it. Know your rules are how manifesting works. Know it’s how you manifest. DON’T GO BACK ON IT. Like who gives a fuck if your 3d didn’t show you your desire write it down in your magical notebook and there it’s inevitable. Assume those rules are true. And they will be despite any limiting beliefs. You can if you want apply a method to this going to sleep affirming these rules are true. Don’t let your past beliefs test you, if you decided it will work then it willl. Don’t make this hard on yourself assume reacting to the 3d DOESN’T make a difference. Now that you know this apply it. Get your dog in disguise unicorn.
I got a concerned follower the other day ask me about multiple people assuming otherwise cancelling out your own assumption. It doesn’t matter how many people are telling you otherwise if you assume that none of them matter then they don’t. They aren’t above you. Literally just assume it doesn’t matter you are the most powerful operant. The collective doesn’t overpower your own assumptions. In fact you assumed them to say otherwise in the first place whether you knew it or not. Change your assumptions. And watch them unfold. You have the power not them.
~ With love, Jyspire

LET ME TAKE CARE OF YOU
—————————————————————————
origins!logan x reader
warnings: fluff, no use of y/n
Had this thought in my head and I read a shit ton of Logan blurbs and fics but I’ve never posted anything I’ve randomly written and I’m deffo nervous but fuck it I guess
—————————————————————————
You woke up to it snowing, just like the weatherman predicted. You needed to go into town to get groceries and other necessities, and having put it off all week proved to be a poor decision.
You reluctantly slid out of bed, from the safe, warm, space, and wrapped yourself in your cardigan before padding downstairs to the kitchen. As you filled your coffee pot with water you peered out the window to get a gist of just how bad it was snowing.
It was coming down, but not too hard and the visibility was still good. The tall pine trees that lined the edge of your property swayed with the tender swirls of snow. The sun was unsettlingly bright against the whiteness of the snow, blinding you from looking out for too long.
You poured a cup of coffee and settled at the dining room table, seated perfectly to watch the snow fall and the wildlife wake up with the sun. This life was not perfect by any means, but you knew why Logan chose to home you both out here. It was for comfort, safety, and peace knowing not many would trek through the unknown to find you.
After finishing your coffee, you made your way to the front door, slipping on your winter gear. Tall, thick boots now adorned your feet, and a fur-lined parka wrapping the last remnants of heat from your bed against you. You knew if you wanted to make it to town you would have to shovel the driveway now and leave soon before the weather got worse. With that, with your now gloved hands, you opened the front door and invited the bitter cold in. The wind whipped you in the face and it stung hard, but nothing you weren’t already used to.
You grabbed the shovel and started a path from the steps of the front deck to the truck. From there, you went up and down the driveway in straight lines, careful not to slip. You were so focused on the task at hand you could barely hear Logan calling from the front deck.
“Princess! What are you doing?” Logan calls. You turn around to see your boyfriend standing there, head cocked, arms across his chest with that ever present scowl across his face. You knew he wasn’t seriously upset with you but you never enjoyed seeing him upset. “Give me the shovel, you go inside and get warmed up.” Logan says while coming down the path you made.
You pulled the shovel out of his reach. “Not a chance Logan, I’m almost done, I can handle it.” You said, matching his stern tone.
“I don’t care if you can handle it, I will finish, now go.” He said, pointing at the house. You weren’t going to give in that easily.
“Logan, I am perfectly capable of shoveling the driveway! I used to do it when I lived with my parents, seriously I’m fine.” You appreciated Logan’s kindness to help you with everything, but sometimes you just really wanted to show him how independent you were.
Logan places his hands on your shoulders. dusting the snow off. “Darlin, I know you’re capable of shoveling the driveway. You’re capable of a lot of things, but you live with me now. I’m taking care of you now, so I do this, okay?” You felt your heart swell and you couldn’t even think of where to begin what to say. Your whole life, you were the person everyone else relied on. The feeling of gratitude and love filled your chest and soon your eyes. You stammered, not even knowing how to respond to Logan.
He didn’t even give you a chance to answer before he picked you up and slung you over his shoulders like you weighed nothing. “Logan!” you screeched, “Put me down!” You were giggling and smacking Logan’s back, but that was hardly a deterrent to him. He effortlessly carried you back into the house, placing you by the wood stove to heat you quicker. Carefully, he undressed your winter gear and clothes, laying them on the back of the couch to dry. You allowed him this moment in caring for you, because you knew deep down this was mending broken pieces of him, slowly but surely.
Before you knew it, you were down to your undies and bra, being hoisted over Logan’s shoulder again, this time being taken upstairs. “Logan! I can walk!”
“I know darlin.”
Logan set you down gently on the bed and turned to rummage through his drawers. He turned back around holding sweatpants and a sweatshirt, which were clearly his. A toothy grinned crossed his face as he walked to you. He first put the sweatpants on you, sliding them over each foot and up to your hips. Then he carefully pulled the oversized hoodie over you. Last, to finish off your look, he brought out the warmest cabin socks he could find, carefully slipping those on as well. He stepped back and gave a once over of his job. You couldn’t help but break out into laughter.
“Whats’o funny?” He scrunched his nose and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
“Nothing Logan, you’re just going overboard, I’m fine, was hardly cold and I could’ve fini-.” You didn’t get to finish your sentence as Logan cut you off with a sweet kiss.
“Like I said before, you live here now. I’m supposed to be taking care of you, so let me. You don’t need to do everything anymore. I love you.” Logan held your hands and kissed your forehead before laying you down and pulling the covers over you. “Now you lay here and warm up. I’ll finish the driveway, and cook breakfast. Then we can head to town. Okay darlin?” Logan’s hazel eyes were surrounded by those crinkles you absolutely adored, and a bright smile only reserved for you.
You nodded. “Okay, Lo…” you smiled up at him, taking in his gentle features and soaking in the love and display of affection Logan was giving you. Logan leaned down and pressed a longer kiss to your forehead before pushing some hair to the side of your face. “I love you sweetheart.” He said as he moved to the door, glancing back one more time to flash a grin before disappearing down the hallway.
You weren’t used to the one being waited on and getting to relax, but living with someone like Logan made it easy.

Fun(?) anecdote from real life: I know multiple people who were raised in a woman-only feminist lesbian circle in the 80s where they all raised their kids together. Like, they were really trying to make a man-free micro society thing happen, lived together in women-only houses, started their own women-run businesses, and obtained semen through various means that didn't include a relationship with a man. They were really serious about this.
About half of them went on to have children. And some of them had boys. Or at least children that were assigned male at birth. They also had girls, obviously.
I don't think this setting was good for either the girls or the boys, and I know some samples of both.
The ones that were assigned male at birth, really struggled for multiple reasons:
They were initially part of this really supportive and kind community, showered with love and affection from a lot of mother figures. But around 5 years old, some of the women stopped being comfortable with having those boys in their spaces. Which means boys were kicked out of the only community they knew, and the only community their moms were a part of. At 5 years of age. Holy abandonment issues, batman.
They were surrounded by women who thought that all of humanity's problems were caused by men. They were surrounded by women who thought all sexism was the fault of men (surprise! a lot of misogyny is perpetuated by women! it sucks but it's true!) They were surrounded by messages that said that women were victims and men were violent, harmful beings.
They were told a lot that they had to be very careful to not talk over others, to respect other peoples' boundaries, to be gentle and kind, etc, which is great as far as it goes- but they weren't told about respecting their own boundaries, or stepping up for themselves, or protecting themselves from harm.
About half the women in that group were what was called at the time a 'political lesbian' which means they were choosing to ignore their attraction to men because they thought men were, to put it simply, bad and not trustworthy. Do think of the message that that sends to their children.
If you were thinking that this would lead to some really depressed individuals who hated themselves/their gender/their sex (and not like, in a trans way, but in a "men are abusive assholes, and I'm a man, therefore I must be bad despite a lack of any evidence to support that position" way, along with a feeling that you're doomed to be an asshole), who ended up getting taken advantage of and hurt by others, you'd be right. Really, really depressed. And hating every part of them that is considered masculine . That is not, needless to say, healthy.
But that's just the amab side. I've known a few women who were raised in that setting and:
They were taught that they had to be tough, and assertive, and make them selves heard.
They were taught that men are bad, and men were looking to hurt them
They were taught that men are not and cannot be allies, and will never be able to learn enough to be a good ally
So, as adults:
They automatically think they are smarter and more ethical than men.
They think men will never understand feminism (even though it's really not that difficult of a concept??? Like, seriously. It's not hard.)
They end up being straight up mean to their sexual partners (because being lesbian isn't infectious, so most of them are straight) and other male loved ones; being disrespectful, not listening to them when they bring up issues, belittling and shaming them.
Thinking that men are always wrong, so making fun of them for say, wearing sun screen. Yes, really. Sun screen.
Straight up tell men who were raised by the same feminist lesbians they were, who were taught feminism explicitly by their (shared) mothers and again in college, that lived and breathed feminism from birth, that they just couldn't understand sexism or feminism, and that they could never be a feminist.
Pigeon-hole their amab quasi-siblings as sexist and pathetic man babies, despite their siblings' partners explicitly saying, "no, he does more of the house work than I do. No, he's more emotionally skilled and does as much or more of the emotional labor than I do. No, we're equal partners. No, actually, we're both agender, so stop putting your (stupid) gender essentialism on us."
Have a huge double standard- if a childfree woman doesn't know how to change a diaper, that's a non-issue. If a childfree man (with vasectomy even) doesn't know how to change a diaper, well clearly he's sexist and just expects women to take care of the babies.
When one of their amab siblings comes out as trans, completely flip their behavior from the above, and immediately take on the protective, let-me-show-you-the-ropes big sister role. Has the person changed? Nope. But they're no longer a man so now their feelings matter.
To their credit, the women that were raised this way that I still talk to have gotten better, once enough women and assorted non-men pointed out their behavior. So, yay, growth.
The folks who were assigned male at birth? They're doing better now; I've managed to convince the one that I'm married to that they're not evil because of their genitalia, and I've even managed to convince them that they don't have to let other people belittle them and trample all over them.
In sum, I think we should teach everyone to both stand up for themselves and be assertive and also to be able to listen to and respect others. To maintain their own boundaries, and respect other peoples' boundaries. To be kind, to themselves and others.
i used to be a kind of 'i think we need spaces with no men but in a trans-inclusive woman-positive way' person but the more i grow i think that whole idea is pretty flawed from the core? because like, 'no men' is reactionary thing by nature, but it also, like people much more learnt than me have said, suggests that the only way to create meaningful feminist spaces is by excluding men entirely? and 1. thats not true and 2. that bodes badly for a feminist future! as badly as some people might want it we are not becoming lesbian geckos any time soon.
the ways in which its flawed definitely interface w transmisogyny - and i think some antifeminists describe ideology like this as 'segregating the genders!!' in a way thats Wrong, but like, it's important that if we want a feminist future, people who might be percieved as men are accepted and allowed to learn and treated as people with equal potential to create a more just world and some of them become women and thats awesome and some of them dont, yaknow? fundamentally it comes back to the radfem idea that 'the people i think are Men have a sort of Evil Particle in them' being so unconducive to a meaningful feminist movement cos it prevents people from sharing their own experiences under the patriarchy and forming solidarity. it also positions the ultimate conflict of society as Men vs Women which very handily erases a lot of other lines of oppression in a way that benefits the white women who perpetrate it.
thats my feminist thinkpiece for the day

Satoru and Suguru, but through Megumi’s eyes?
I’ve thought about this a lot lately, let me explain:
“I.
Megumi is 7, and he wakes up from the same nightmare for the third night in a row. He plods along the hallway, his arms wrapped firmly around his middle, and reaches up to turn the knob on Satoru and Suguru’s door.
The darkness of the room seems to seep out into the hall as he takes a few timid steps into the room. He’s noticed immediately, of course, by the two men in the bed.
“What’s wrong?” Satoru asks immediately, his voice slurred with sleep. Megumi can see him looking at him as his eyes adjust to the low light. Of course, Satoru’s eyes don’t need to adjust, so he knew it was him. He also sees Suguru, who had initially startled awake as well, lie back down, almost immediately asleep.
“Can I sleep here?” Megumi asks, whispering.
Satoru pats the bed next to him, scooting over to let Megumi settle in the middle. Megumi crawls into the bed without another word.
Satoru curls on his side, facing him, and stretches an arm out above Megumi’s head. He ruffles a hand through Megumi’s hair, then buries his hand into Suguru’s hair.
Megumi’s eyelids finally grow heavy again in the warm, safe darkness surrounding him, and he falls asleep to the sound of their even breathing.
II.
Megumi is 10, and he hears the front door open and the door to the hallway bathroom slam. He’s sitting in front of the living room TV playing video games, and he turns around to see Satoru hanging up his keys. He smiles softly at Megumi. Suguru must have been the door-slammer, then.
Megumi hears retching from behind the bathroom door. He stands up to go check, to help. Satoru shakes his head no—not unkindly, but definitively. “I know you’re worried, but he’s okay. Just a hard mission. I’m going to go help, okay? Just giving him a second. Everyone needs a second sometimes, yeah?” Satoru fills the electric tea kettle with water and flicks it on.
“If you really want to help, you can fill this mug up with water when the kettle beeps. Not all the way to the top, just most of the way,” Satoru says, taking a mug down from the cabinet and slicing up a chunk of ginger, throwing the slices into the mug.
Then, he walks into the bathroom and closes the door behind him.
Megumi stands by the kettle, taking his post seriously, waiting patiently for it to beep.
III.
Megumi is 15, and he isn’t supposed to be home yet.
He rounds the corner next to his bedroom door when he hears them.
“He loves him, Sugu. And I don’t—I don’t know—I mean, can I save him?” Satoru gasps, clearly crying.
“I know. Breathe. This isn’t your fault, you’re doing what you can. You always do,” Suguru murmurs in response, and Megumi hears the bed creak as he shifts his position.
“Megumi will never forgive me if I have to kill Yuji. Never, Suguru,” Satoru’s sobs are muffled now, likely against Suguru’s chest.
“Satoru, let’s cross that bridge when we get to it. Hell, if we get to it. You don’t know that it’ll ever be relevant,” Suguru’s voice is soothing, softer than Megumi is used to hearing it.
Satoru doesn’t respond, and the next thing Megumi hears is Suguru’s gentle plea : “You have to breathe, Toru, come on, count with me.”
He walks away from the door.
IV.
Megumi is 16, and he isn’t sure what woke him. His phone screen tells him it’s 1:27 a.m. Maybe Satoru finally made it home from his mission.
He ambles out of his bedroom, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, just to make sure.
He hears hushed voices before he rounds the corner to the living room. Unsure why anyone would be up that isn’t Satoru, who likely wouldn’t be talking to himself, Megumi is suddenly on alert. He slides his back against the wall, peering around the corner to see who’s there.
It’s Suguru.
He exhales.
After seeing Suguru’s face, however, he feels like his sigh of relief may have been premature.
“Do you want to take a shower, maybe?” Suguru murmurs, standing in front of Satoru where he sits on the couch, pulling off his boots. Satoru places the shoes next to the couch and lets his forehead fall against Suguru’s abdomen. Suguru is quick to wrap a hand around his head, threading his fingers through the hair that isn’t matted down under his blindfold.
“I just want to sleep,” Satoru sighs, and Megumi immediately notices how weary he sounds. His clothing is, as usual, clean and untouched, a byproduct of Infinity, but wherever he’d been had clearly taken a toll on him. Suguru massages Satoru’s head at the temples.
“Come on, I’ll turn off the lights and start the water,” Suguru whispers.
Satoru nods, inhaling shakily.
“Hey, I’ve got you,” Suguru breathes, sitting down on his heels to rest his forehead against Satoru’s.
Megumi, suddenly feeling the weight of his intrusion, creeps back to his room as quietly as possible.
V.
Megumi is 17, and he hears Satoru and Suguru arguing in the kitchen. He pulls out a headphone to listen, pausing the music he’d been listening to while doing homework on the living room floor.
“I just don’t feel like it, Satoru. Isn’t that a good enough reason?”
“No, because you never ‘feel like it’ anymore! You’d think I was asking you for a miracle, not to literally just go out for the evening.”
“Well, you never ‘feel like’ doing anything I want to do either. When’s the last time you sat and read a book with me, huh?”
“That’s different, Suguru, I’ve never done that. You know what I’m saying, and you’re purposefully ignoring it.”
Suguru doesn’t reply.
“Things are bad again, aren’t they?”
Suguru still doesn’t reply.
“Please talk to me.”
“I don’t want to talk. I just want to sleep. You go out. Invite Shoko; she’ll appreciate it.”
“I want to help you, you asshole. Stop pushing me away.”
“I don’t want your help, Satoru.”
Satoru laughs harshly at this.
“Yeah, well, you sure as fuck need it.”
“Fuck you.”
“Fuck you! Are you kidding me? You’re just content to rot, going to work and then coming home and sleeping your life away? Or some other fucking mindless activity? It’s not normal, Suguru. It’s not healthy. And I’m not just going to sit by and watch you do it.”
“You think I don’t know that?” Suguru raises his voice, which catches Megumi off guard. He never yells.
“Nothing about this is normal, Satoru. My life, our lives, me. I’m not normal. Do you think I like this? Feeling fucking hopeless, not having the energy to do anything, fucking sitting on the floor in the shower because it’s too much to stand—“
“—Suguru, listen—“
“—Don’t interrupt me.”
They are silent for a few long moments.
“I’m sorry,” Suguru says, raggedly.
“No, I’m sorry, I said I wanted to help and I’m definitely not helping,” Satoru sighs.
“I—Satoru, I—“ Suguru tries, then stops.
“Things are bad again,” Suguru settles on, his voice breaking.
Megumi doesn’t hear Satoru reply, just the sound of a chair scraping against the floor.
Satoru only speaks when Suguru starts crying.
Whatever Satoru says to him is too soft for Megumi to hear.

so I really liked the alpha student dream/omega prof hob 🐺 anon and you did and I accidentally wrote 3k words. very sorry about that?
The thing is, the young man is really very good at this. Hob can feel himself falling for him more each day. Feels his biology work against him every day. That’s the worst thing. Dream is such, such a good alpha: he asks after Hob’s health constantly, brings him his favourite coffee every morning Hob has class, brings him food the day before and after heat leave… and the fact he’s so young and so good at it already makes it all the more impressive! What’s an omega to do?
Stand firm, of course. Hob didn’t get to his age surviving heat after heat on his own or occasionally on beta and omega cock only to succumb to baby’s first attempt at mating. But Dream makes it so hard. He’s so persistent. This habit he has of sticking to Hob right before he takes heat leave is maddening. Pre-heat is on hell of a thing, and Hob’s body can perfectly sense a willing, aroused, fertile alpha right there, and it gets ideas. Hob’s hind brain is compiling a very thorough list of all of Dream’s behaviours that make him a perfect mate, and it’s ruining Hob.
His heats start getting a lot more intense, longer, more painful. He feels empty in ways he never has before during: his hands aren’t enough, his toys, medication… and no one will touch him. Absolutely no one will touch him because Dream’s scent is all over him. Young, strong, possessive alpha. In fact, even Hob’s friends and colleagues don’t touch him anymore. Dream is the only one who still does, and Hob is becoming addicted to it.
Also, has Hob mentioned Dream is gorgeous? A pretty young thing like him, fawning all over an old bastard like Hob… it strokes the ego, it does.
His pre-heats get worse too. His cycle gets shorter, more erratic. He has to ask for more frequent heat leave. Multiple times he gets home from uni on the last day before heat leave with the heavy denim of his jeans soaked through with his own slick. He can only be thankful for Dream’s scent keeping any alphas with bad intentions away while he takes the tube home. He wants to blame his hormonal changes on incoming menopause trying to get him to breed before it’s too late, his brain all too aware of the lack of scent from a pup of his own of any age around him, but he can’t. It’s just Dream. Beautiful, possessive, commanding, fascinating, kind, model alpha Dream.
It gets to the point Hob can barely make it inside his house before collapsing on the floor, hyperventilating and feverish, and getting himself off unable to think about anything but what a knot would feel like… no, what Dream’s knot would feel like. What being pumped full of Dream’s come would feel like. Growing round with Dream’s baby. Letting Dream walk him to the tube the past few months was a mistake.
He’s never seriously wondered about these things before. Of course he’s thought about them, he’s human for fuck’s sake, but he’s never actively wanted them. Needed them. His heats last ages and the faculty is beginning to be unhappy with him, all because his brain is convinced he needs Dream to knot him and fuck him full of pups, and he spends his heats sobbing into the mattress, desperate with unsatisfying orgasm after unsatisfying orgasm.
Dream feels torn about his darling professor, lately. On one hand, he smells almost like he’s his. Dream’s scent on him is so strong that no one will touch him, which pleases Dream to no end. And he smells overwhelmingly of arousal when Dream is around, and Dream likes to think he’s about to break his legendary resolve… But on the other hand Hob looks… worn. Tired. Fatigued. Just, unhealthy despite all the little ways Dream cares for him. And that makes his alpha body itch. He needs his omega (he refuses to think of Prof Gadling as anything else) to be perfectly cared for. But Dream is doing everything he can short of stealing Hob’s keys and letting himself into his house. He follows him around the uni all day short of when Dream has other classes, taking up all his office hours sitting on Hob’s desk, regaling Hob with his best conversation, casually rubbing his own neck and then rubbing that hand on the desk, keeping his scent fresh in Hob’s space while the room gets saturated with aroused omega scent.
Dream flirts his heart out, touches Hob until his hands are batted away and he can almost taste Hob’s slick in his mouth, but Hob never gives in. This only encourages Dream! What kind of alpha would he be if he didn’t love the chase? When he finally gets his professor to beg for his cock (and he will) the victory will be all the sweeter!
So imagine Dream’s delight when, after coming from one of his classes and following a hurried Hob out of his own lecture into Hob’s office, Hob collapses, back to his desk, hands gripping it tight, trembling, shirt spotted with sweat and jeans rapidly going sopping with slick.
Dream just stares in wonder for a good minute, watching Hob with his eyes shut tight, writhing, whimpering and hissing through his teeth as he tries to get himself under control against something that is by definition uncontrollable. Hob puts up a good fight, though.
He’s so strong and proud. Dream loves that about him. Still, he takes the key where Hob left it still in the lock on the hall side and locks the door from the inside. He doesn’t think Hob has even consciously noticed him being there until Dream puts his hands on Hob’s thighs. His thumbs are an inch away from a growing wet spot.
“Are you in heat, professor?” he asks sweetly.
Hob shudders, and shakes his head, and promptly starts hyperventilating. Dream is riveted. Hob feels fever-hot under his palms even through jeans.
“Really?” Dream asks. “Because I think you are.”
He steps fully between Hob’s thighs and bends his head to take a whiff of Hob’s scent. Rich, sweet, fertile and begging for his knot. It’s beginning to affect him, too: he’s already well over half hard, and his mouth is watering. He can’t wait to finally mark his omega.
Hob bares his neck, and whines, and his thighs spasm in such a way it can only mean he’s so wet he wants to hide it but his body knows what’s better for him: the willing alpha between his legs.
“D-Dream. P-please.”
Hob is shaking so bad, but Dream gets the feeling Hob is about to beg him to stop anyway, and he just can’t have that.
He licks a long stripe up Hob’s neck, tasting him ripe with want, and whispers in his ear:
“Please what, professor?”
Hob’s legs give out, but Dream was perfectly ready for that. He grabs him firmly by the thighs and hoists him up on the desk. He lets himself rut against Hob’s soaked trousers just once and Hob’s moan is so so sweet to Dream’s ears.
Dream tuts, and caresses Hob soothingly as Hob half-melts backwards, back on the desk, head lolling off the other side, his throat perfectly on display.
“When is the last time you let a good alpha take care of this, hm?” Dream asks, running one finger at the seam of Hob’s trousers, over his hole and his hard cock.
Hob squirms, and grabs Dream’s wrist, and keeps it there.
“N-Never.”
Dream is struck dumb by that for a second. He’s fully hard so fast he feels lightheaded. Strokes Hob’s cock trough his soaked jeans while his professor sobs in relief under him. He can’t believe his luck, honestly.
“That just won’t do,” he whispers. “A man of your age, with your wealth of knowledge…” He deliberately moves his hand off Hob’s cock and runs both hands under his shirt, rucking it up, revealing a beautiful pelt of silver and brown hair. “…should know the feel of a knot sating one’s heats.” Dream slides four fingers under Hob’s waistbands, trousers and pants at once, and toys with the top button with his thumb. “Why don’t you let your alpha take care of you, professor?”
Hob is crying and bucking up uncontrollably into Dream’s touch, gasping, and looks up at Dream with his eyes glazed over.
“Dream. Please. Please. Touch me.”
Dream preens. Unbuttons and unzips Hob and plays idly with his cock. But nothing else.
Dream smiles.
“I am touching you.”
Hob is writhing and thrashing into it and whimpering and straining his neck, eyes flicking between Dream’s face and all the awards Hob has won for omega excellence in the workplace behind his desk on the windowsill.
“Dream I- I need-“ Hob is so pretty, sniffling and crying and begging. “Please, knot me, Dream, please-“
Dream doesn’t need to be told twice. He bends down to quickly kiss Hob’s temples, presses Hob’s face into his neck and feels him relax under Dream as he takes a lungful.
“I will take care of you now. All will be well,” he tells Hob.
Hob nods tearfully into Dream’s neck and slowly lets him peels his sweaty and slick clothes off of him.
Dream unwraps him like the present he is, calls him beautiful before sliding one-two-three-four fingers inside him, making Hob mewl.
“Shh. You are so wet already. So loose, so ready for my knot.” A gush of slick wets Dream’s hand, and Hob is starting to hyperventilate again “Not to worry. I will please you so well, make you feel so good.”
Hob doesn’t ask him to put on a condom in the brief moments Dream needs to unzip himself, so Dream doesn’t, and sheaths himself inside Hob to the hilt. Hob shouts and Dream groans. It feels so good. Hob is so so loose around his cock, yes, but he’s so hot and slick inside it feels more than perfect to Dream to fuck into him balls-deep. Fast and hard. Hob comes within seconds, and Dream has to put a hand over his mouth so they’re not heard all over the uni any more than they already have been.
“I should think you would like my knot now, yes?” Hob shouts against his hand, still shaking from orgasm while Dream pounds into him, hands fisting Dream’s shirt. Dream smiles. “Would you like that, professor? Being full of my seed? Finally being bred like you deserve?” Hob twitches, raises his head to look between them as he realizes what Dream is saying, then just… drops his head and goes fully boneless under Dream, submitting completely. “Yes. I cannot wait to see you round with my child.”
Dream’s knot swells so fast when Hob comes again around him it makes Dream dizzy. He can see Hob’s mind being blown in real time as Dream’s knot grows and grows until Hob is coming again just from the pressure, screaming his throat raw against Dream’s hand, and then Dream starts coming.
Dream doesn’t think he’s ever come so hard in his life. He can feel pump after pump of seed shoot inside Hob until Hob is whimpering so pretty and holding his belly, just slightly rigid from the fullness. Dream can’t help it, seeing Hob like that, a hint of how he will soon be when he’s full with Dream’s pups.
Dream bites him.
And Hob buries a hand in his hair and keeps Dream there, ankles locked behind his back.
Dream soothes the bite with licks and kisses, the taste of mated omega- his mated omega almost burning on his tongue.
Easily, he lifts Hob and sits them both on Hob’s chair behind his desk. His sweet older omega shouldn’t be forced to spend their whole tie lying on a desk. Dream rolls his hips slightly with Hob in his lap, soothing him as he whimpers incoherently from Dream being lodged so deep inside him.
“Was I not right, professor? Did I not make it all better?”
Hob nods into Dream’s throat, but for twenty good minutes of their tie doesn’t stop fucking himself on Dream’s knot, cock hard between them, giving himself little almost-orgasms. Dream pets him lovingly the whole time. How incredibly lucky he is, to watch his professor learn how good a knot feels!
Soon, though, Hob is exhausted and frustrated.
“Dream. Dream, I- Please. More. Please.”
Dream laughs softly.
“I need just a moment longer.” He lifts Hob slightly, lets him feel how Dream’s still-too-full knot tugs at his rim, lets him gasp with it. Hob clenches even tighter around him, and Dream smiles. “Certainly, this would be easier if your hole were not so greedy for my knot, professor.”
Hob hides his face against Dream’s neck, ruddy in the face, but Dream deflates enough that some of his come and Hob’s slick leak out and make it easy enough to pull out and push back in even with his knot still up. Dream fucks Hob again, long and slow and properly this time and all the way until he knots him again, until Hob winces and whines and grasps at his own painfully-swollen belly.
Hob even takes a nap while they’re tied, and Dream is incredibly proud of having sated the worst of Hob’s heat so quickly. Once Dream’s knot goes down again, Hob gingerly gets up, gasping when Dream’s come runs down his thighs in thick, slow rivulets. Dream watches him experience this for a moment, then pulls him back down onto his still-hard cock.
“Where do you think you are going, professor?”
Hob gasps.
“Dream- how…?”
“Oh, I am so very young after all, as you keep reminding me.”
He fucks up into Hob hard, as if to prove his point.
“That’s not-“
“Possible?” He smiles, teases Hob’s bite with his teeth and revels in the scent of his omega. “How curious. I seem to be in rut.”
Hob can feel it, is the worst thing. Can smell it, now his head has cleared a bit. And with every second that ticks by he feels his body grow laxer, the will to leave to let Dream take care of the rest of Hob’s heat at home get weaker. A rut is a much trickier thing than a heat. Shorter, sure, but with no lulls, no moments of reprieve. His alpha needs him, needs him now, and he wants to please his alpha.
“Dream. You didn’t- you wouldn’t- induce it?”
Dream hums thoughtfully, takes out the empty pill box of rut-inducing drugs he took, holds it up for Hob to see.
“I hoped to appeal to your nurturing side. I doubted my omega would leave me to suffer through a rut all on my own. And I was right, was I not? Already I can feel you relax in my arms, your hole loose and greedy and ready to take my knot and my seed for hours.”
Dream can already feel his knot swell up again. It will hardly go down now for the next many, many hours.
“I wasn’t your- Dream, a rut lasts up to two days, the university closes at-“
“But you were. You have been my omega for a while now, haven’t you, professor?” He grins and kisses Hob’s mating bite. Pity about the drugs, they weren't needed after all. But, Dream was always impatient. And they do have the nice perk of keeping Hob on his cock for so, so long. “And that’s too bad. The cleaners and the custodian are terribly gossipy, are they not? What a shame that everyone should know that you are mine. That the famous Professor Gadling is such a good, nurturing, devoted omega that he tirelessly saw his young alpha student through his rut in the very university he teaches at, right in his office… that he is such a willing, eager, fertile thing that he left the room mated and sweet with the scent of pregnancy.”
Hob can’t put up a fight. He is still in heat, and his alpha needs him, and Dream feels so good inside him. He’s never taken care of anyone’s rut before, of course, but it feels so incredibly good to be constantly knotted and bred. His heat barely bothers him, with how well Dream takes care of it.
Predictably, Dream’s rut lasts well into the next morning. Dream is incredibly pleased to dress him, leaving his shirt open enough to show off his bite, the waistband of Hob’s jeans digging into his distended belly. Dream walks him out of the office with a proprietary hand on his shoulder, Hob with face and neck and ears purple from shame, jeans stiff from his slick of yesterday and now his underwear, jeans and socks getting soaked with Dream’s come leaking out of him. And, surprising no one, with his scent the starkly sweet mark of a pregnant omega. It’s a proper walk of shame, it’s just after noon and the university is wide open and there’s people in the halls getting to and from class.
By the next day, everyone knows what Hob has done. No one blames him, though, which is almost worse. Poor omega, he’s a slave to his biology after all. It’s a miracle he lasted this long. It’s high time a good alpha take proper care of him. And Hob… wants to protest. He does, but… it’s so nice, so freeing being Dream’s kept omega. He can still teach, but he gets constantly spoiled by a pretty young thing, complimented about landing such a nice alpha and about being so fertile and glowing. He gets to carry Dream’s pup. It’s really not as bad and constraining as he thought, and he gets to be knotted as often as he likes… with a caveat.
Dream, of course, is a menace and should not have been trusted with his knot near anyone in a position of authority. Hob is constantly horny because of the pregnancy, and begging for Dream’s knot so often and so desperately it really is too easy for Dream to deny Hob his knot until Hob agrees to change a grade here, a grade there, until Dream is graduating with honours doing none of the work except knotting Hob nice and often. Who knew that trying an alpha’s knot was all it took to break Hob’s famous integrity?

PA ANON FIC!!! WE GET A PA ANON FIC!!!!
I'm so entirely gleeful about this and I can't thank you enough for sharing this and giving me the honour of sharing it with the community!! I've been travelling all day today and looking forward to the moment where I could sit down and re-read this. There are so many excellent details. Dream being persistent and sneaky and a total dickhead, but also being so caring and giving Hob the knotting he truly needed... perfect. I can't blame Hob for giving up either, and I certainly can't blame him for giving Dream such good grades. Cause if he's being graded on his fucking then he clearly deserves to graduate at the very top of his class 😏
*happy horny noises*

Hello mx cookbook!
I'm writing this on anon, because a this story's a touch personal. And english isn't my first language, so there might be some mistakes. It might also get fairly long.
Anyway, the reason I'm sending this ask is because I wanted to tell you how much your music has affected me. Seriously, there's a whole story to this, too. I'll try to keep it short, but I promise, it does eventually come down to your music.
I come from a country and culture where education is valued pretty highly (even though under our current government, the system is in absolute shambles.) All high schools here require a complex entrance exam process, and there are a few so called "elite" insitutions that are insanely hard to get accepted to. It was my dream since I was a little kid to achieve just that, and I eventually did. Cool, right?
So anyways, it was horrible. The details aren't exactly important, but I was cast out of the community and bullied relentlessly for two years before I eventually transferred to a different school.
But in those two years, music was my only comfort. I'd have my headphones in 24/7, listening. Obviously, I was bound to discover a lot of new music this way, and I did, while simultaneously strengthening my preexisting obsessions. But your music stood out to me so much, and it really helped me through those two hellish years.
For example, I used to listen to Good Morning Sunshine on the bus to school every morning, it was the only thing that gave me motivation despite how exhausted I was.
By now, I am doing much better, I've gotten out of my "hallucinating angels in first period gym class" state, but I still listen to your music a lot. It serves as a reminder to me that despite how bad things were at the time, I'm in a much better place now.
And Good Morning Sunshine still gets me back on track if I'm ever feeling demotivated. Your lyrics have forever captivated me and they consistently keep pushing me to better myself and my life.
So thank you for that. From the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for this 💜 I'm so glad my songs have been a comfort, that's all I ever really want to hear

Earlier this week I read a couple smart posts by @impala124 about Yeong's self-destructive tendencies and by @solitaryandwandering about why Yeong pursued this relationship and how he may not have ever fully committed to letting Gyu-ho in, and something about their characterizations of Yeong in this relationship was scratching at my brain. It wasn't that I disagreed with them, because they're not wrong about some of his behaviors, but that it didn't feel like the full truth of this relationship. So I will attempt to tease that nuance out now.
I think a lot about how Yeong is the narrator of this story, and so everything we see is filtered through his perspective. This is much more evident in the book, where he is literally telling us what happened with his patented combination of distancing wit and biting self-loathing, whereas in the show they have intentionally gone a bit beyond his perspective to show us the characters existing outside of his head. We've all reflected over the last couple weeks on how that has changed the tone of the previous sections and relationships. But this part of the show is the most similar to the book, and that makes sense because Gyu-ho is the only character in the book besides Young who feels fully fleshed out and real on the page. He is deeply important to Young, and that comes across in how Young writes about him. And I think that comes through in the show, as well, both in the way Yeong behaves with him, and in the way this story is framed and shot to essentially make Gyu-ho feel like the light in his darkness. Young/Yeong/Sang Young Park deeply loves this man, and regrets losing him, and blames himself for most of what went wrong, and that colors everything about the way the story is told.
When we were discussing this part of the book, many of us noted that Young is something of an unreliable narrator, because you have to read between the lines to find his true feelings buried under constant obfuscations and emotionally distancing rhetoric. I think that same feeling came across in the show, but without the benefit of being able to see into him a bit deeper like in the book, it may be hard to see how much of himself he put into this relationship, and how sincerely he tried, and how external forces constantly worked to reinforce that he did not deserve and couldn't have it. I think it helps to look at his actions rather than his words, because this man does not like to speak about his sincere feelings very often:
Yeong was the one to pursue the relationship, going out of his way to find Gyu-ho again and ask him out after their initial encounters, and going back for him after initially parting at the train. I read that moment where the loud girls passed him as Yeong getting shaken out of his stasis and realizing he was missing a chance to have something real with Gyu-ho, and he didn’t want to lose his shot.
He put it out there first that he wanted their relationship to work out, a stunning moment of accidental honesty for someone who normally pretends an indifference he doesn't feel.
He took Gyu-ho seriously enough to disclose his biggest shame. I do not think he did this to try to push him away; he did it because he sincerely liked and cared about this man and he wanted to protect himself if this was something Gyu-ho could not accept.
Despite the fact that their sex life is stymied by their conflicting challenges and role preferences, Yeong was content. In the book we hear him reflect directly on how surprised he is to be this happy with someone without an amazing sex life, and that happiness shines through in the show before he sinks into depression.
Gyu-ho was not the first of Yeong’s boyfriends to meet the T-aras, but he was the only one Yeong was confident they would approve of, and he seemed so happy as he walked home with Gyu-ho after their meeting. He knows this man is special.
Yeong invited Gyu-ho into his home to live together--the home he previously shared with Mi Ae and seems to consider his safe haven. He wanted him there, and he trusted him to be there.
Despite their petty arguments about chores and how to manage their shared space, he sincerely makes room for Gyu-ho and wanted him to feel like it's theirs (though he doesn't always recognize how his own behavior makes that harder), down to matching couple mugs and the development of shared habits.
At several points in their relationship he encouraged Gyu-ho to get what he needs, even if it means going outside their relationship for sex (we only see this hinted at in the show), while he himself stays content with what he gets from Gyu-ho even as their sex life really falls off. Both his depression and his Kylie are at work, but Yeong never wants to leave Gyu-ho even in his darkest moments, or even as he claims things have become dull. Even when they were fighting in the midst of Yeong’s worst depressive episode, he said he was thinking about their future together.
When things started to get really dire, Yeong did not give up as he would have in previous relationships. Instead he suggested and booked them a trip to reconnect and spend quality time together, despite his financial stress and time limitations. And when removed from those huge stressors, they did reconnect and reaffirm their feelings, and we saw Yeong's happiness rise to the surface again.
The way Yeong began emotionally distancing once he realized he could not go to Shanghai was telling; he retreated back to his more indifferent persona once he believed the relationship could not work out as a way to protect himself--because he was devastated.
All this to say: Yeong cared about this relationship so much, and he really tried. He tried harder than we've seen him do with anyone else. He did not hold himself back or intentionally push Gyu-ho away until the end; this is simply who he is and what he can give to a partner.
Which brings me to the real main source of this relationships' downfall: disease, stigma, and homophobia. The thing I want to be really clear about here is that while Yeong did not make perfect choices, and there may have been a way for he and Gyu-ho to work out if he'd believed more in the strength of their partnership to overcome further hardship, he is not wrong to believe that Gyu-ho was negatively affected by his disease or to decide that he did not want to be a source of hardship for Gyu-ho. It is a factual statement that Yeong's Kylie resulted in Gyu-ho not getting everything he wanted and needed, and would have continued to deny him opportunities if they stayed together. Yeong is not merely imagining that his partner could be affected by the limitations Kylie puts on his life; that's very real and actively happening and constantly reinforced for him. And he loves Gyu-ho, so much. He doesn't want to be the reason Gyu-ho doesn't get everything he wants, and he's ashamed to hold him back. I wish for his sake that he could have made different choices, that he could have tried working something out that they would both be happy with, but lord do I understand why he didn't.

In your Pokémon au, do the boys have to deal with instincts or anything like that? Like does the Pokémon they (represent?) have any effects on their habits or behaviors?
Yes! So, for this AU, everyone in the universe has certain habits and behaviors pertaining to the Pokémon they are. Ex: Bird Pokemon molt and preen and have the urge to migrate at a certain time of the year Ex: Scolipedes and Centiskorches have an innate rivalry with each other It’s not like their instincts completely take over their minds, but subtle things in how they act. The boys’ personalities are exactly the same just with some additional quirks. I'm basing how they act from dex entries/ in-game animations/ and other media! This is long so strap in!
Ingo
Tumblr media
In Ingo’s case, Chandelure tends to spin A LOT. It’s a habit they all share whether to battle or emote. It’s just what they do.
Chandelure don’t get dizzy so they can do so without repercussion.
This behavior started when he evolved into a Lampent.
Ingo either spins on his toes when he’s happy or when he attacks. But his twirls are sharper and not as smooth and elegant as other Chandelure
Think of a pirouette but very stilted.
He spins on his heel pretty fast, too, and smacks Emmet every now and then.
He tends to point his toes like a ballerina while he floats.
He often sways on his feet or in the air like a pendulum if he’s idle or deep in thought.
This is kind of a bad thing because he might accidentally hypnotize a passerby by the combination of the motion and his flames.
Luckily, riding the train hides his swaying as it’s already a bumpy ride.
Although sometimes he has to snap the person out of his trance. He will profusely apologize afterward.
His flames aren't hot unless he wants them to but they feel warm
Another thing that creeps Emmet out a bit is that Ingo can see and talk to spirits. Not ghost Pokémon. Actual spirits.
Certain Pokémon have this ability and fewer are able to help these spirits. Ingo is one of them
Chandelure, in particular, act as a lure. haha
Emmet can kind of feel if a presence is there but he needs Ingo’s clarification. (it's that twin connection they share)
Unlike popular belief, Chandelure do not destroy a spirit with their flames. It may look like it but it's to help a lost soul move on.
While he is a conductor for trains, he doubles as a guide for lost spirits because he believes it's his duty. (Idea from this wonderful fic!)
Some aren't ready and he’ll respect their decision and leave them alone
What does bother him is that he can sense when someone is about to die and hates hospitals for this exact reason
It's awful because he feels it multiple times a day from passengers
He doesn't want to burden Emmet so he stays quiet
Emmet knows when Ingo's overwhelmed and will try to distract him the best he can
He's terrified to one day sense Emmet's death
Tumblr media
Emmet
Emmet, as an Eelektross, has a bad chewing problem! I kind of showed it in this post already but he gnaws at any pen or pencil any chance he can get. If not he’ll chew on his nails.
He lets out small bursts of electricity from his teeth as he chews in thought
He has pockets full of hard candy to curb the issue though
Low on sugar? He can help!
It's also used to bribe the Joltik Quadruplets. (I'll show them later!)
He does bite Ingo if they get into an argument. It's always Ingo's tails too. But they rarely seriously fight anyway
Emmet has bit through their cutlery before...multiple times... but it's on him to replace it. (Ingo has his own set of utensils now)
He'll either thump or swish his tail when he's agitated.
He has the tendency to wrap around anything if he stays in the same place for a while. (A pole/his office chair/ furniture)
He mostly coils around people verrry tightly when he gives a hug, which is a habit he started as an Eelektrik.
You have to tell him to let go because he unconsciously constricts the air out of you.
He's stronger than he looks so please tell him because he doesn’t realize and never wants to hurt anyone.
Ingo is mostly the recipient of this but Elesa is a close second. The depot agents are third.
With any body of water, he starts to think how the water feels and has the urge to jump in. It doesn't matter if it's freshwater or seawater. He wants to dive in.
In the water, Emmet is a completely different guy. It's like a switch flips in his head. It’s freeing for him to be underwater as he can move how he wants to!
Beach trips to Undella Town or Humilau City are a frequent thing, and he will be cranky if he misses a day!
His favorite place is the Marine Tube because Ingo can be there too!
Ingo will walk through the tunnel as he watches Emmet have fun
Since Eelektross in canon are ambush hunters, Emmet subconsciously acts like one
Is the type to silently enter a room and sneak up on you
He likes to wait deep below the surface watching above him
It's like his version of cloud-watching
If there’s a shadow at the top, he has to find out what it is!
He has a habit of swimming at an alarming rate and abruptly popping out of the water to greet whoever is there. He doesn't mean to! He's just curious.
He only gives them a really bad scare and a heart attack
Ingo will join him on a floaty and act as a beacon because Emmet sometimes swims out too far.
Other marine pokemon point him in the right direction if he does get lost.
Tumblr media
Other miscellaneous things:
It’s a common form of greeting between Electric types to shock each other. It’s their version of a handshake/hello.
Ingo’s built up a resistance to electricity thanks to Emmet, but sometimes it’s really shocking!
Emmet sometimes bumps into things because of his body.
They both can see in the dark, but Emmet can see perfectly underwater.
They both have fallen asleep levitating before.
Ingo doesn't have a house key because he can just go through the front door or wall or anything really.
Because of this, he has a habit of not opening doors
Ingo is actually wary of water because he's afraid his fire will go out but he toughs it out for Emmet because he loves him so much.
He can swim but it's still the fear of going too deep.
There is battling in this AU! Ingo and Emmet still run the Battle Subway with their team, The Top Depot Agents! (I'll show them sometime!)
Also, if you have any ideas of your own, you can make your own post and tag me! What I say isn’t set in stone cause this is an idea for everyone to enjoy. I’d love to hear any new ideas!

As someone who's been in multiple fandom circles and calls themselves a Splatoon fan, I've seen a lot of focus and discussion on "THE LORE!!" and "CANON!!!" and to be honest with you... it's getting really tiring and I think people are just WAY TOO obsessed with what a wiki or an intern at Nintendo says rather than forming their own perspective on events and coming to their own unique conclusions.
Tumblr media
Now, I wanna say, if talking about lore and discussing which elements are canon or not makes you happy and you love talking about that, then that's perfectly okay. It's fine. It's not for ME personally because my focus on Splatoon is the gameplay, music and the storytelling chops of each Hero Mode.
Story >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Canon for me any day of the week i do not care.
Because, to get away from Splatoon for a second, for my Sonic fans out there, you remember when Sega and the people behind the show Sonic Prime said that it was canon to the mainline Sonic timeline? And if you said otherwise you were technically wrong because "oh Sega said this, so it MUST be true!"
........But then everyone said that Sonic Prime cannot be canon to the mainline Sonic timeline because it has a fuck ton of inconsistencies? Yeah.... funny. Basically, don't put a lot of focus into "what actually happened" and "oh this is what the multi billion dollar corporation said!" because there's always gonna be one guy out there that goes "um this information kinda fucking damages the story in a severe way." (And sometimes that one guy is me.... hehehehe....)
I could obviously talk about.... you know.... Hypno Callie again for the 50th trillion time.... (and i will)..... This bitch.... I wanna love you girlie i really fucking do but Nintendo and millions of people make it hard to....
Tumblr media
Nintendo set up Callie's villain arc decently in Splatoon 1 with the Splatfest dialogue, the Squid Sister stories and the Sunken Scrolls, yet they ultimately damaged the progression of the arc by saying "nah fuck u she got kidnapped and brainwashed, removing all of her memories and free will because fuck telling a good story with satisfying set up and pay off that allows for character growth. Fundamentals of storytelling? What are those?" And it also destroyed Callie as a character by reducing her to an object that the player "must save from da evil Octavioooo" and "oh look at her! She put the stupid brainwashing shades onnn againnn!! such a dumb fucking moron dumbass piece of shit right guys?!? lmaoooooooooo!! explore the dangers of addiction and how you need to seriously change your life and be surrounded by those you love in order to change bad habits?? Themes?? PFFTTT! NAWWW! THAT'S LAMEEEE!! It's Callie! No one cares about Callie!! She's stupiddd!!!"
(I talked about Callie in a tumblr comment section one time and I got made fun of for by a guy way older than me. I love humanity.)
It also ruined DJ Octavio's character too because, if what Nintendo said is true about what he did then he cannot be redeemed in Splatoon 3. He cannot go back on the shit he's done. But they try to redeem him out of nowhere and now he's all chill with the New Squidbeak Splatoon and appeared in the Grand Fest.... Yet what he did to Callie which Nintendo loves to push is truly TRULY unredeemable and if that's the case then welp.... I call that bad writing, straight up. It's bad writing.
I really hate it when something happens in a story and you perceive it in a certain way where you feel like it elevates the events, but then the company behind the story chooses to pick the worst outcomes possible just because? And everyone rolls with it just cause? Ugh...
Lesson of today is, don't fucking listen obsessively to what a company says and suck it up. Consume media and come to your own conclusions on what happened. As long as you have tangible evidence to back up your claims you can make any interpretation you want to, whatever makes you feel happy bestie!

I'm really grateful I have a group I'm already involved in right now, because I'm seeing a lot of despair and "I don't know what to do" and "I'm the only one in my community who feels this way", whereas we're like. well. we know what to do. It's going to suck, it might not work, people are going to get hurt in the meantime no matter how hard we try to limit the damage, but we do know what we need to do.
The reality is, this is not a mobilization problem. It's not going to get fixed by convincing more people to go to the polls, or if a few third party voters had held the party line, so you might as well stop blaming them. Actually unfortunately the next steps rely on stopping blaming individual people, but go ahead and take however long you need to get it out of your system. I get it.
As I said, it's not a mobilization problem. A large portion of the population voted the way they did on purpose, and a big reason for that is because for a large portion of the United States population, life kind of sucks and has been getting worse. The Democratic party has failed to run on a coherent narrative of why this is and how they're going to make it better. The Republican party, on the other hand, has run on a very strong narrative of how they will make it better by getting rid of all the things and people who are to blame. It's a narrative that has worked for a lot of groups in the past. It's working now, in the increasingly polarized social media landscape, even in demographics Democrats have typically considered safe. Everyone loves the luxury of having someone to blame.
Unfortunately, the fix to this is long, and slow, and hard. It's not begging politicians for scraps. It's getting offline and going outside. Talking to your neighbors about their lives, their fears, their needs, and what kind of world would meet those needs. Even the one with the Trump sign in their front yard. Some of these people are in it for the racism and the cruelty and siphoning everything to their rich cronies, but a lot of them are struggling and desperate and grabbed for the life preserver someone threw them, even if it's secretly stuffed with arsenic. If thrown a different life preserver, they can be convinced to grab it.
And no, it's not ok that they decided to shove vulnerable minorities' heads under water just so they could theoretically get theirs. You're allowed to be angry! But unfortunately further isolating these people only pushes them deeper into the fascist movement ready to embrace them. They need to interact with real representatives of the groups they've been trained to blame and fear. They need to be given a different narrative with real solutions, but screaming it at them on Twitter won't do it. Long conversations where people take their hardships seriously but direct them more constructively might.
That's not going to be easy. You may not like or forgive them. And not everyone can do this work! It's going to be safer for white, not visibly queer/gnc folks to make some of these initial contacts. (At one of our meetings, a femme woman of color was talking about canvassing transit riders and dealing with misogynistic comments and having to decide, ok, where do I personally draw the line saying I cannot work with this person versus being aware that a lot of people are not steeped in politically correct language and can change. It's a tough line to walk!) People also aren't interested in answering their doors for canvassers these days, so organic social connections work best. Maybe you're talking to people in your workplace. Your apartment complex. Your neighborhood. Your own family. Maybe you join a book club full of seniors at your public library. Many people want positive change! My state notoriously always votes for progressive ballot measures and then turns around and votes in conservatives who try to dismantle them. There's a logic gap there, but in that gap is a potential for conversation, because we have places where we already agree and want to work together.
The theory here is, if we can talk to enough people, if we can build genuine real world offline connections where we agree on our shared problems and our shared desires for a better world and come up with solid solutions beyond pointing fingers, we can build a large enough coalition to start making demands, most likely through targeted disruptions (strikes, walkouts, etc.). The handy thing is, if you can get that many people demanding something, it doesn't actually matter which party is in power.
Is that possible? I don't know! Organizing that many people is really really hard. It's hard reaching out to people who've just punched you in the gut. Some people will not change. Some people will have hard lines that don't mesh with your hard lines. And I'm certainly really scared myself about the likely takeover of all three branches of government and probable draconian measures against dissent. We're going to have to carefully consider risk/reward when planning actions and disruptions. We're going to have to fight through fear and exhaustion and apathy and pain and betrayal, and I don't know if we can. I don't know if I'll see something like this happen in my lifetime (although the UAW sure is gonna try in 2028). Hell I don't know if we'll have elections 4 years from now. But that's the path. If you're not up for walking it right now, that's fine. If you're not up for walking it ever, ok. But I don't think there are any shortcuts or miracles. This is what we can try, and if it fails, at least we did what we could.
(If you see this post and your instinct is to reply with some variation of 'nice speech but we're all fucked and might as well give up', I understand why you feel this way. It's a feeling a lot of us are struggling with right now. Take the time you need to take care of yourself, and when you're ready, you can come back and we'll be happy to have you.)

State of the Country
I know I’m late to saying something but I’d been debating to say something or not. I am a white man so many people won’t care what I’ve to say, but I’m a gay one too and I worry for the LGBT community and other marginalized groups. If you can afford to leave the US, this is the prime time to do so. If you’re like me and can’t due to financial reasons and/or because you’ve got obligations then we’re in this ride together. I’m a gay man who takes care of his wheelchair bound dad and 86 year old grandpa and I’m really poor at only making $12/hr so I can’t leave as much as I’d love to be able to do so. I feel you and I’m in the same boat as you.
As for the stories I’ve written, don’t take them seriously. I’ve had people in the past message me and try to commission extremely horrendous stories or try to talk to me in a way clearly showing they truly take this kink past just being a kink and turn it into a reality they wish to force onto others. I blocked them, I will block you too. If this or anything ever goes beyond a kink, go get professional help. You desperately need it. I’m a lot nicer than a lot of others are and are a lot more gracious but don’t fool yourselves into thinking that this bear won’t bite back.
Love each other, be there for each other, support each other and for good god please don’t kill yourselves. People love and care for you. It seems hard now but you’ll get through this.

I have been CHILLING this week post-Vengeance saga release! I managed to avoid debilitating stress and anxiety from the onslaught of fan stuff by simply avoiding all social media for the first two days, so it's been good!
However, I am now BACK, dumping my immediate reaction of the saga from a week ago. I thought I was ready. I was not ready. 600 Strike blew my mind. I was left staring blankly at my ceiling. Jorge please rest sometime, I'm begging you. The amount of talent beaming through my screen is exhausting even me.
Also, to every cast member and collaborator and behind the scenes person: y'all are amazing. Like seriously. I hope you all get a yummy drink and a cozy blanket and just. Bask in the satisfaction of a job well done. Hats off to y'all fr.
Anyways! I keysmashed the following at around midnight, 14 hours before the livestream ('cause australia is the superior timezone /j). Be warned there's LOTS of swearing 'cause sleep deprivation + incoherent excitement lol
AHHH IT'S GO TIME
Ok it's starting the same as the Goodspeed festival showed. Tho, the first lead in sound thing reminds me of Lucids.
Gorgeous vocals. Hate Calypso, love Wangui fr
"Let me speak!" She really doesn't care about his feelings huh. I noticed in LIP as well, she always makes it about her, which is absolutely in character.
Those ensemble harmonies tho!!
"... You do?" Girl you literally told him to lie smh
"Why in the world won't you love me too?" 'Cause he has a WIFE
IT'S HERMES TIME
FSA melody? YO??
"Cause I had one goal in mind..." the silence where the crew's chorus would come in is PAINFUL
BAG?? HERMES!!
"Hello old friend!" Grinning so hard rn
"Well it's a little bit ✨dangerous✨" AHHH IT'S HAPPENING
Fingertapping and headbopping to this chorus
"Put your whole braiin in it!" I love how he says that sm
"And lastly the wind bag" NEW STUFF
WINIONS
Wow ok I did not expect the wind bag to show up again. Tho it makes sense; this is probs the storm that Ody told Sirenelope kept blocking the way home
ODY SINGING THE CHORUS!!!!
RUTHLESSNESS MENTION
"Hermes! Thank you" AHHH THE CALLBACK! He sounds so tired and like down to his bones grateful this time 🥺
"I'm not the one who fought for you!" MY EYES WIDENED SO FAR. WE ALMOST GOT AN ATHENA NAMEDROP. I'll settle for the reference to her
Okeee. Charybdis!!
Oooh it's just like in the reference vid. No lyrics for this start part!
The 5/4 is amazing. And the electric guitar!!
God this song is SO BADASS
LETS GOOOO ODY!!!
ahhh I KNEW there'd be some sort of soft KYFC esque "I can't wait to make some new memories" type verse AND I WAS RIGHT
he sees ithaca!! Oh god poseidon's gonna show up isn't he
my heart's beating so fast i'm scared
PENELOPEEE
the ELECTRONIC DISTORTION OH NO IT'S HIM
RIGHT INTO GET IN THE WATER AHHH
"Coward" AHHHH I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE FINALY HEARING THIS FOR REAL
"That's when our paths collide!" THE RASP
"Now get in the water" Oh shiiiit here we go
the choir is so eerie
"GET IN THE WATER" THE GROWL
"aren't you tired poseidon" ooh it's this part!!
ha he changed it to ten years instead of eight like the demo had XD
"maybe you can learn to forgive" the line from that one snippet!
"No" oop
"DIE" DAMN that deep echo!!
*underwater sounds* oh shit ody's fucking dying
NO! FUCKING POLITES
EURY
ANTICLEA
FUCK YOU JORGE
THE CREW
WAITING??? EXCUSE ME WTF
AHHHHHH WHY TF DOES JAY LOVE HURTING US SO
HUH? HUH??? WHAT WAS THAT! AND THERE'S A FUCKING AD. Probs good, I need the break but WAHT. I KNEW he'd do another fucking polites reference gods damnit jorge WHEN I CATCH YOU
Ok time to hear 600 strike. Holy shit we're here
ELECTRIC GUITAR LETS GOOO
Aeolus theme. IS HE GONNA OPEN THE WIND BAG AGAIN??
600 MEN MOTIF HOLY SHIT
ANIME SCREAM
HOly shit there's magic sounds happening. I'm really curious about whatever Jorge's cooking up for the animatic in the livestream, 'cause I have no clue what's happening rn 👀
"For every comrade!" FSA melody!
"all those _ who were slaughtered by your hand" hmm I can't quite hear what he's saying there?
wait wait wait he's ACTUALLY using the power of his 600 men!!
"You idiot" damn lol
DIFFERENT BEAST ODY HOLY SHIT
is that a blade sound effect?
WAIT DID HE JUST STAB HIM WITH HIS OWN TRIDENT
HOLY SHIT ODY
HOLY FUCK
POP OFF ODY
OMG "MONSTER" AND THEN "RUTHLESSNESS"
BRO HE'S BEGGING??
*trident drops* hot damn ody
"Next to my wife." OHHHHHHH MIC DROP
Holy FUCK that was crazy
I'm gonna listen to it again.
Ok but holy shit Odysseus literally just tortured a god until he gave in?? Daym ody
Tho I like how he tries using open arms first, and then ruthlessness. He's kinda found a balance? I say kinda, 'cause he went hard on the ruthlessness, but since he sincerely tried to ask Poseidon to just drop the whole thing already, his later actions in 600 Strike feel more warranted.
I honestly don't know how Jorge keeps doing it. He just keeps topping himself! Like! Thunder Bringer? And then God Games?? And now Six Hundred Strike??? They just keep getting better! Banger after banger, like!! How.
Wait I just wanna. Sit with it. Imma lie down and stare at the ceiling for a bit, aight?
... I am shooketh.
But BRO THAT WAS INSANE! ODY FUCKED HIM UPPP
AMAZING BRAVO EXTRODINARY INCREDIBLE SHOWSTOPPING GORGEOUS WONDERFUL HOW DARE YOU

It’s been eleven days since Jolly picked Noah up in a bathroom, cleaned him up and helped him back to the van. A week since Noah came back for that second kiss in some backroom minutes before they were due to go on stage and they didn’t have much time to appreciate it. And after that? After they made it back home, the two of them wrapped up in each other fast asleep in the back of the van, waking up actually feeling rested despite the not so comfortable sleeping conditions?
Nothing.
At least not at first. Not for lack of trying. But they only had six days at home before they were back out on the road, and all Noah really wanted to do was sleep in his own bed for as long as humanly possible, maybe avoid human interaction for at least two of those days. He wakes up on the second day, only to find Nicholas sprawled in his desk chair, phone in one hand and a juice box in the other.
Noah groans and drags his pillow over his head. “No, Nicky.”
“You don’t even know what I was gonna say,” Nicholas slurps loudly on his straw, just to get Noah to peek out at him in annoyance. “So, you and Jolly, huh?”
It was the most obvious question, and it surprised him that it took him this long to bring it up. Noah gives up on the idea of sleeping longer and finally sits up. “Why’d you send him to find me after that show?”
That probably wasn’t what Nicholas was expecting him to say, given the look that crosses his face moments before he smirks. “So you kissed him as a thank you for that?”
“He kissed me first,” Noah admits, and he sounds defensive to his own ears. “Out in the parking lot that night. He told me once I was feeling better, to come find him—”
“Gotta admit, it took you a little bit longer to catch on than I thought it might. He’s had a crush on you for a long time.”
Noah wonders if everyone knew but him. Maybe he hadn’t been looking hard enough to be able to see it, but he’s looking now.
His first thought about this isn’t of himself, “The band—”
“Will be fine,” Nicholas’ face softens. “You deserve this, Noah.”
Noah knows better than to argue with him.
It’s safe to say that his mind is consumed after that. But he’s got to wait still, because Jolly was visiting family and wouldn’t be home until two days before they left for the next string of gigs. And if Nicholas happens to make sure that the house is empty except for the two of them the day that he’s due to come back, Noah doesn’t call him out on it. He doesn’t thank him for it either because he’s nervous for some reason. As if he hasn’t been alone with Jolly dozens of times before. As if he didn’t remember what it felt like to kiss him, to listen to the sound of his heart thudding in his chest in the back of the van.
Jolly looks happy to see him when he gets there, and almost relieved to know that it’s just the two of them for a while. Noah wants to give him time to himself to unwind, but he also can’t help but follow him up to his room, stand in the doorway and watch him as he unpacks.
“Are you just going to hold up that door frame for me, or are you going to come in?” Jolly asks finally.
Noah hedges further into the room, before he finally gives up and decides that this is Jolly, there’s nothing to be nervous about. He throws himself down on Jolly’s bed, flops back against his pillows. “So how was your trip?”
“We are not going to do that, Noah.”
“What? No small talk?”
Jolly pushes his suitcase off of the end of the bed and crawls up beside him. Noah would probably back away if it weren’t for the fact he’d fall off the bed. So much for not being nervous. “You and I are beyond that now, don’t you think?”
Noah can’t argue when that. And when Jolly opens up his arms for him, he can’t help but move over and immediately sink against him. He thinks back to that night in the van, how peacefully he slept curled up on Jolly’s chest, how it had become just a space for the two of them even for a little while. And now, he finds himself in the same position, head propped up on Jolly’s shoulder, an arm tossed over his chest. One of Jolly’s hands is threading through Noah’s hair slowly, and he reaches down to trace his fingers over the arch of Noah’s brow until he lifts his head to look at him.
“I don’t think I was looking before, when I should have been,” Noah says, his words holding an apology that probably isn’t needed. “But I see you now.”
Jolly shakes his head, “You’ve always seen me, Noah, the same way I’ve seen you. And take it from someone who’s always been looking.”
Noah pushes himself up and kisses him because he can’t help it, not after that. It’s soft and simple, and it feels like it could be enough. But he can feel it all over, all the way down to his bones. Jolly slowly breaks the kiss, smiling as he does so, and it’s impossible for Noah not to smile back.
“Yeah,” he says quietly, nudging his nose against Jolly’s. “I see you now.”
