In the Wukongverse what is Wukong's and Macaque's singing voice like?

Oh I do Love me some singing hcs. Took me a while cus I bad at actually remembering singers. I'm just trying to add as many song links as possible.

LMK: These two's english VAs (Sean Schemmel & Alejandro Saab) have sung before, and I will repeat my thoughts. Whilst Macaque is the more "stage friendly" of the two and can interact with an audience and put on a show, Wukong is stupidly good at singing. Like, LMK!Mac is dumbfounded how good his Wukong is. Wukong's stage fright gets to him tho, so his voice cracks the second he detects anyone listening to him - only Mac, the kids, and baby monkeys know his true voice. He destroys everyone at drunk karaoke tho.

HeroIsBack: SWK's singing voice is initally very harsh (not use much in 500 years) but grows softer/more confident as he sings. I can almost hear it as being like the song in the film itself "The Feeling of Flying", just full of joy. Also dubbing bonus; Jackie Chan singing the Cantonese version of "I'll Make A Man Out of You" from Mulan (1998). HeroIsBack!LEM's voice is similarly underused but a hidden gem. Mostly reserved for lulling infant monkeys to sleep. A tenor like Thomas Sanders. Gets embarassed quickly because his singing voice "doesn't match his face" (Dasheng disagrees).

Reborn: You could say his warped view of his own demonic identiy hasn't exactly left Reborn!SWK a positive idea of his singing ability. His actual singing voice is surprisingly deep with a lot of octave range; example Jonathan Young. 100% would jam with anime opening songs. Secretly gets really excited when he duets. Reborn!LEM is much less confident in their performing ability than the other LEMs, his voice is much softer, quieter, and soprano-pitch. Ethereal almost; like Ben Whishaw in The Tempest. And this LEM might just sing "Ariel's Song/Full Fathom Five" too - since his six ears often "hear "pick up" songs of the future. May use his voice to guide the lost souls he chariots.

Netflix: This SWK do be singing, and he penned his own theme song! Hidden talent at composing? I hc that he's singing voice is the metal version of his theme as done by Voodoo Kung Fu & Ian Honeyman. Probably scares the other monkeys (sans Reborn!SWK who starts rocking) the first time they let him take the mic and he goes full heavy metal on them. Has a hidden softer tune only his pilgrims + LEM know about. Netflix!LEM would say that they'd rather eat glass than sing in public, but like their main inspo (Aubrey Plaza - "Get Happy") they are ridiculously good at swing/jazz style music where the singer interacts with/insults their audience. A good example of them singing (whether for a con/trick) would be Amber Gray in Hadestown.

NewGods: This SWK sounds like a smooth cruise /lounge singer. This man can bust out a Sinatra that'll make the room shake. He however can get really emotionally into the music and end up crying at the oddest songs. Good reference would be Richard Cheese. NewGods!LEM gots broadway vocals like Josh Groban, and will completely shred you with his Phantom of the Opera performance. Unless he decides to use his voice for mischief and starts singing filthy blues songs with his SWK.

2000sCartoon: I bet these two dont really flex their singing muscles much so they dont sound "good", but SWK loves him some travelling songs and shanties, and his LEM provides good backing. SWK has a crackly, higher pitched singing voice like George Salazar (Be More Chill + Percy Jackson Musical). 2000sCartoon!LEM's voice I can see being smoother like Ashe (of "to ashes" on youtube), and once he becomes more confident in himself; its one of the first clear distinctions the two monkeys can make between one another.

Meihouwang: I could see Shihou & Mihou having "younger-sounding" singing voices similar to Zach Callison (of Steven Universe fame), and Jeremy Jordan (Tangled Series + Death Note Musical) respectively. Absurdly good for monkeys with no formal musical training.

Smash Legends: This Wukong has a pretty good singing voice but he uses it for goofy "meme" songs (ex Loney Island) since he's actually a little mic shy. Has potiential for greatness. "Serious" singing voice is similar to Sam Tsui. Smash!LEM aka SixEars is a legit indie music star along the lines of a "faceless" nearly-online-exclusive artist - best comparasion I can give for his "typical" vocal ranges (remember perfect mimicry/pitch) is between Aly & AJ to Taron Egerton. Will leave the other monkeys in the dust in a competition.

No matter who's the "better" singer of all of them one thing is for certain; you turn on that karaoke machine around the SWKs and LEMs, and there's about to be a whole lot of monkey business.

Max: some of these are hype songs a la pitstop boys, and most of the ones that aren't are pretty odd lowkey. A couple are literally just his entire life story rhymed and set to a beat which gives me Homer vibes so that's kinda cool. Some are...kinda weird. 6/10 Special mention to Max verstappen by Abad 33. Man wrote a biographical rap, amazing

Checo: the same 3 bands that write all the max stadium chants are also writing checo ones which is kinda sweet! a lot of these are directly about him rather than namedropping him--he has a higher ratio of these than other drivers. Also not just rap/dance tracks, some are more traditional Mexican music which is awesome. Overall no skips here, 9.8/10 Special Mention: Checo Perez by Alan Y Roberto

Charles: most of these are along the lines of "im sexy and fuckin cool and i feel like charles leclerc" but the vibes are there. have heard at least 3 that reference Max or make ver-stop-him type puns. Also several modern epic poetry vibes and a few kinda slow ones, very him. 8.2/10 Special Mention: Charles Leclerc by SAE. The one by Alexander Lewis is also kind of a mood but a little more hype

Carlos: some really lowkey beats here, kinda chill not too aggressive. The only issue here is I can't tell if theyre about him or his dad and they're more namedrops than bios so it's hard to tell. 6/10 for that reason but special mention for Carlos Sainz by teme

Lewis: can confirm Lewis Hamilton by geezy is a mood lowkey but based on the line "swear i drive like a ferrari, I'm all about the wins" I think maybe geezy does not watch formula 1. These are good though! Lot of bops in here. a LOT of songs abt this man. 9.5/10 Special mention for being the only one on this list to have a song he sang in, shoutout to Pipe feat XNDA

Pierre: he actually has a couple but some of them are weird as hell. Weirdly enough every one I've found is in English, maybe because Gasly is really easy to rhyme in English? not sure. 7/10. Special mention to Pierre Gasly by FeldaLeaf, featuring the classic line "Pierre Gasly driving the Tauri, bitch I'm the alpha I got people coming for me"

Lando: actually thought he'd have more but he only has a couple. One is a hype song and the other is his roller coaster one. Overall fun but not hits. 5/10 Special mention: Let's Go Lando! by Pitstop Boys

Valtteri: has quite a few which all have car noises and radio clips and are pretty heavy/hard rock. These feel like they maybe came from the Mercedes era because they're just generally full of rage but i kind of love that for him. 7.6/10 Special Mention: Bottas by Arcangel, which is only slightly about him but is heavy as hell

Fernando: please just go listen to El Nano by Melendi, this is the happiest fucking song ive ever heard in my entire life. It's from the Renault era and it sounds so 2000s and i had to translate the lyrics but theyre SO cute. when he gets in his renault? Magic alonso!!!!! <33333 he honestly has the best music so im giving him 15/10 hands down but please know its mainly because of El Nano

Okayyy, so I decided since the last matchup I asked for ended up being *cough* The name we do not speak *cough*, I decided Imma ask for a redo on this cause... Yeah, I think you can tell why lol. I've changed since last year and that's gonna be noticeable in the updated matchup!

5'6 with semi-long, wavy, brunette hair and amber eyes. I have lots of freckles and glasses that have a black, square frame. In Summer, I usually wear pants and a tshirt, or shorts and a sweater. I have received a lot of support when it comes to my anxiety and while I have my moments, I am more comfortable being loud and energetic out in public. Back with another Miko question! I know Miko is a bard but does he like to play for others or does he play mostly for himself? What's his favorite instrument to play, can he play more than one? Do you have a playlist or any certain songs that you could see him playing (or playing a FFXIV version of, e.g. replacing names of places or gods with ones from XIV?)

Okay so this one is a bit complicated for me to answer I think cuz this is kinda a topic about Miko I get a little nervous about lol music is a huge part of his character and I always get a little worried I make this part of him a little dumb. But alas I'm just gonna, as they say, yolo this so enjoy lol

But yes yes yes! Miko loves playing for people! He will play for the sheer entertainment to get people into the music and dance or he'll just play to keep someone company. He doesnt mind and he's usually pretty good on judging the situation and what is appropriate. but he does also play for himself, yes. especially if he is a bit down, but he'll mostly just play cuz he can and its something to do and he likes it. he also hums a lot which might drive some people nuts but at least its pretty lol

His best instrument is his voice, of course xD but no really his favorite is the violin! I see miko being strangely skilled at picking up just about any instrument tbh. all he needs to do is listen and watch someone play it for a moment and he can easily just fall right in and follow along. like the morin khuur from the steppe i just see him having gone big eye zoomies on the people playing those at the time cuz he'd never seen them before and was itching to give them a try lol (tbh im kinda thinking his music skill is probably something he inherited from his azem. that guy was probably coming up with insane songbird concepts and shoving them at hythlodaeus and the poor guy would have to tell him to chill out lol) but miko leans more towards string instruments like the violin, harp, guitar. something about the quickness of the fingers and the violin having a bow tickles him cuz he also wields a bow in battle lol but he's always down to playing anything given the opportunity. but yeah okay this is long winded but if miko has to pick one instrument as his go to its a violin and his voice.

a song that ive always felt is very HIM since the very beginning has been Andrew's Song by End of Silence. i can just always picture him singing something like this for some reason about his journey. it also kinda sounds like a younger miko, perhaps arr time when he's just starting off, which i like lol

next i kinda find lindsey stirling's violin style to be a big inspiration for him especially Between Twilight. this one is especially something he'd play on the violin just to play. not to perform or anything but just the natural miko music, if that makes sense lol

Well my random opinions after experiencing zero time dilemma for the second time (spoilers under the cut)

In summary this game is so good is some parts but such a let down in others but still i fucking love it and i wish we could get more lmao

- the time and moral dilemmas mechanic are ao good they are so fun!!! I always loved that of the game and now i remember how good they were

-i think "the bad guy was behind the camera all along" is one of the shittiest plot twist i have ever seen, and now that i know i hate checking all the references and consistences and foreshadow it had. Like that makes it worse somehow fkfkfkfk i love the plot twist in 999 and vlr and i know some dont like the one in vlr but i think they work cause its both a surprise for the charas and for yourself. This is like. Why is zero hiding from the audience cmon

- i used to think mira wasnt interesting but now gosh. I actually really like her? I usually love murder gals and i think thats the less interesting thing about her, but i love her calm attitude and patience explaining stuff she has a very cool personality that i think gets overlooked by very meh murder reasons imo

- i also appreciate sean more now he is a cutie, i played the first time in japanese jut the english voice actor does an excellent job too

I wasn't sure if you were referring to them because I still haven't watched their last video, but I had the feeling something was going on. I'm glad she's being transparent about how she feels.

I think reactors often happen to have particularly excited or dramatic reactions and get/feel pressured to have the same reaction to everything they watch, also to avoid toxic fans comments... I'm sorry (not sorry) but I blame young new kpop fans for this, especially those coming from twitter, where these reactors seem to find most (if not all) rude (or worse) comments. Of course not all of them are like this, I know and see so many that are not, they are respectful and behave in a more human and chill way, but there's a big portion that does, sadly.

Anyway. I'm all for reacting to a limited number of groups, if I were ever to do such thing, I would react to my favorites and occasionally others. However, I also realize that for many this is or becomes a job, and so the wider the public the better... About authenticity, for me it's quite fundamental otherwise I just feel like I'm wasting my time...

My fav reactors are (apart from the two i've already mentioned), the safe cave (they're also been pretty transparent with subscribers over time, took breaks when needed and made clear how and what they react to, definitely my number 1) and Lktv (he does bang his head lmao but I enjoy his reactions, he does comment a lot most of the time.)

Recently I saw a few reactions from millennial men and katriinka, a vocal coach. They seem good, at least from what I saw. I knew i forgot something 🤡 choreography! hiii. so my morning was actually really nice. i woke up, went to the gym with my sis, got back home, ate and made my meals for the day then went to go get ready for work. while i was showering grace (my sis) got my clothes and all my “getting ready” things together for me and she even made and brought me my coffee. omfg and she made my bed for me lol. ive loved having her home from college. she really is my best friend. i feel like i can literally talk to her about anything and everything and there is no judgment or negative thoughts/feelings. i go to her for just about anything and she is always there. ANYWAYS, i left home and was bee bopping on my way to work listening to some music and just doing my thang. well i was almost to work and i freaking deer jumps out in front of me. i was only going about 35mph so the damage isnt that bad, but my hood is a little bent up and my grill is a little busted. other than that though my car is fine. i did however get in touch with my insurance guy and hes referring me to this place to get it fixed without filing a claim if i dont have to. hopefully its not too much money, but either way i just want my car fixed. i wouldnt mind driving around a cute little rental car either. 

im currently at work right now, its nap time. i really cannot wait to start my new job. this place is just forever getting on my nerves. i love tammy to death (my co-teacher) but damn she is lazy. like when the kids need something shes always like trying to sneak tell them to ask me so that i will do it. and dont even get me started on the admin here. theyre just as bad if not worse. i was supposed to get finger printed like 2 or 3 weeks ago but i was sick on the day i was scheduled so i missed it and they just keep getting on my ass about rescheduling it like its my job to do so. which its not by the way. but little do they know its my last week here so it doesnt even matter. they just all get on my nerves here. its like no one wants to do their job and i mean thats why half the workers are leaving and why the whole class comes to me instead of the lead lol. i am going to miss the kids somewhat but not enough for me to stay and the pay here sucks. but yeah im going to work this week out and then text melanie (the director) that i quit. i dont care how unprofessional that is only because when they hired me here they made me not put in a 2 weeks notice to my previous job like i didnt have a choice and you know what they say.. “do unto others like you would want done to you” or something like that. then ill just have a week to chill and get into my new routine because quite literally fuck this place and lowkey fuck my schedule right now too. 

ive been really good this year about keeping a positive mindset and not letting certain things get to me. i plan to keep it that way for the whole year and only work on bettering myself. i have weeded out most toxic aspects of my life and have gained more positive and encouraging in replace. i believe this year is only going to get better and more successful. one of my personal goals for this year is to read as many books as my height. thats crazy sounding i know but i am already off to a decent start with one book lol.

just got back from seeing it again with the crunchyroll subs!!

i enjoyed it much more this time! 1 the audience was much bigger (i saw literally one of the last days of eng subs in japan so there was like 2 other people there lol) so it was great to hear everyone laughing along with all the humor n stuff, and to hear people all talking about it afterwords, 2 the subtitles overall were more accurate and cohesive so that was good, and 3 just having seen it already and knowing which beats they were gonna focus on helped me to reframe the narrative in my mind of how they wanted/were able to portray the story in the runtime they had, rather than just me hoping to see specific parts

i could tell this time that whoever did the subs had actually seen haikyuu before bc certain lines and callbacks were referential of the original n stuff (if that makes sense lol)

but also, there were a few noticeable changes to the subs. they completely changed the "let's devour every last scrap off their bones" line from the manga to... "let's make a mess" LMAO which, if you couldnt guess, is a far less superior translation imo. and even though i dont know nearly enough japanese to know which one is technically more accurate, i do know that the devouring idea fits a whole lot more with the eating/hunger/omnivore themes of haikyuu and this movie in particular with cats v crows so, kinda hoping that'll get changed back to match the manga during streaming

and then i mentioned in my original post about there being new lines from kenma saying something like 'hinata has kageyama and i have kuroo' with hinata/kageyama practicing in the background while kenma rests and then when kenma says kuroos name it cuts to kuroo holding out his hand to help kenma stand up (i was vague about the visuals previously but w/e), yeah, thats not how its translated in the US crunchyroll version AT ALL. its just like, kenma talking more about how he feels about volleyball. no mentions of hinata, kageyama, or kuroo, it was kind of odd, felt like an entirely different sequence because of it and im wondering why they changed it. ive seen from people on twitter (kseniya @ triananero) who watches in og japanese no subs at all that in japanese the lines ARE kenma comparing the hinata/kageyama dynamic to his and kuroos so like. whyd they change it for US release?

smaller but notable to me lol is that tsukkis "hes always one step ahead of me" or "hes a man who walks ahead of me" was translated as "he's going to surpass me" which. very minor but i dont like it quuiiite as much as either of the manga translations bc it implies future rather that present or perpetual. like the whole point is that yamaguchi surpassed tsukki in coolness a long time ago, not that hes gonna do it right now. anyway lol that isnt a big deal, and im nitpicking i know

that whole moment gave me chills anyway, esp with the (s2??) music coming in once yamaguchi steps onto the court, so i really shouldnt complain haha

my gripes with the high five from the first watch still stand too, i wish it had more emphasis, and i DID pay attention to the flashback snapshots in their silhouettes this time and theyre there but... theyre drawn kinda meh....

im so torn about the chp 298 stuff haha bc it starts SUPER strong, its really really good when yamaguchi enters and his first two serves, but it kinda fizzles after that and i still wish tsukkis first smile in the match had more emphasis. the second one later during the 'master and student 2' sequence tho is great!! and the animation for the whole rally where its focused on tsukki and kuroo is siiiiiiiiick, probably my favorite rally of the match other than the pov sequence at the end (i want to make gifs nowwww)

moving on, theres this little bit where kuroo says something like 'may chibi-chan always be in good health" in reference to hinata being good motivation for kenma, and skjdhks idk what that line is in the manga originally but it got a good laugh out of me and i liked that change a lot

i forgot how feral suga is in this match lmao, it was really fun to hear the audience i was with consistently laugh whenever he was like screaming things lol

like every single joke landed for the theater i was in too, it was great. tendou just showed up on screen and someone gasped loll, and then everyone proceeded to laugh at every thing he said, as it should be

"what exactly is wrong with your no.10 over there" "sorry im not sure myself" was spot on perfect too, loved it

overall i had a good time!! for 1h25m its probably the best it could be, and i really appreciate how many little things they did manage to get in to the runtime

okay so i know i posted a few weeks ago that i did get to see the haikyuu movie when i was in japan last month and ive been so busy i didnt fully have time to process lol so ive been writing down thoughts as i remember them so, spoilers under the cut (no particular order)

final rally pov shot was craaaaazyyy (sidenote i saw challengers today lmao and they did a similar pov shot thing a couple times and it reminded me how sick it was to see such a complicated thing be animated)

in addition to that tho, while i liked the drop of the music then to just have it be kenmas breathing, i felt lie his breathing seemed a little repetitive?? like it was possibly just the same couple voice recordings repeated???

and also tbh.. i kinda didnt love how after the super amazing pov animation the way they chose to animate the full court flashback to tokyo training camp was just like a flat pan around the room. it just didnt feel all that dynamic after seeing something so cool, and maybe it was just my screening but the image was kinda blurry and not that crisp at that part

in general tho i thought the sound design was really cool, so much of it just straight up felt like a live match happening, and the part when kenma tells hinata to stay interesting and the sound cuts out?? ooo v effective i thought

and then the birdcaaaage aaaah i loved the way the wings like got all stifled in the cage when kenma first trapped him and then ofc the bursting out of it oooo im excited to see it again in imax

there were a tonnnn of small moments that i assumed wouldnt make the cut that actually did too, yaku sitting on lev's back when he's doing pushups, the bokuto/kuroo hair swap flashback lmaooo, goshiki having to share his ipad with tendou (i cant remember for sure now if he actually says that or not but theyre definitely in the movie), bokuto and akaashi coming over and talking to yachi and ah i think theres more. a lot of them were shortened down a bit, but i appreciated them getting attention nonetheless. sadly no kuroo/lev poop conversation though lmaoo

i thought the kuroo/kenma flashbacks were pretty good as well, i think they possibly added a few lines?? it seemed like there were more frames of stuff of kuroo being inspired by the "lowering the net" concept which was really cool bc thats really integral to his character to me. and then theres this line where kenma is like "hinata has kageyama and i have kuroo" and uhhhh that is news to me!! im like 90% thats new content lmao, and oooo it was good, the shots they chose with it too gooood

oh for some reason they changed how kenma flops??? he falls with his butt up in the air instead of just flat??? like why lmao, obviously that was like an Actual Choice they made bc they had to draw it and obviously had the manga as reference and it makes no difference other than to confuse me lolll

im interested to see it again distributed by crunchyroll too bc im sure some of the subs i saw werent right, a few lines just didnt make sense and there were a few instances of like "lead blocking"

and okay. i gotta talk about the chapter 298 stuff

its there its in the movie!! but,, it's watered down lmao

and i think i was also too in my head and overanalyzing it which im disappointed in myself for so im hoping on rewatch ill have a better time

the "hes always been one step ahead of me after all" was like as perfect as it could get tbh, it looks just like the manga and tsukki like says it just right and yamaguchi comes onto the court behind him totally focused and aaah really loved it. then the service ace and tsukkis little laugh it really good

but then i'm torn on the actual serve and block, there's no inner thoughts on yamaguchis "oh no the ball isnt drifting enough" and then tsukkis silent reply "no that was plenty" before stuffing it, so we arent hearing their like mind reading/intuition connection there which was a bummer. and thennnn im not positive on this bit but i dont think anyone repeats anything about the serve and block being the perfect play?? (its yamaguchi echoing ukai in the manga) and then no little flashbacks to how theyve been training

HOWEVER the big main flashbacks of seeing how yamaguchi walks from behind tsukki to in front of him are there!!! and the way theyre presented is interesting? i was like taken aback by the decision to have the clips being showed within their silhouettes as they move toward each other (i couldnt even tell thats what it was at first tbh..) that i missed whether or not all the panels were in it..... (majorly disappointed in myself for that one). idk visually i found it a little confusing i guess and so i couldnt fully appreciate and im hoping itll look cool on rewatch when i understand whats happening

and then the high five ahhh it was pretty good, idk if anything will ever live up to that manga panel for me, the joy and success and sense of achievement in that image means so much to me lol, but its animated fairly well. do wish they didnt cover tsukkis smile tho

then kuroo asks how tsukki feels about volleyball and he says its fun and he smiles and its.. fine. like ugh its just one of those things were this entiiiire section just slightly suffered from being a two minute segment of a movie instead of a whole episode (or even just half an episode tbh), like something about his smile and saying it was fun just fell a little flat for me and i was unfortunately a little sad about it, i was hoping for a little more buildup and like emphasis. this is a huuuuge culminating moment for him and it didnt quite feel like it to me bc the movie had to have other priorities where a season wouldnt have

later one when tsukki and kuroo are like battling at the net exhausted tho and tsukki smiles again that was pretty good, the animated is really top notch when theyre all panting n stuff, and the voice acting there was great, really liked it

okay, it’s over :) 

first thoughts out of the way: not a big fan of this special. it’s like watching a completely different show. it’s not got the PZSHAHH of the normal wizard city stuff and there weren’t a lot of funny jokes or even hearty moments in the thing. 

it suffers from a lack of invested character interactions, much like BMO did. there was not a single main cast member in the whole thing! and like i said before, much of peppermint butler’s character in the show is based on his very sweet relationship to his mother, princess bubblegum, so when they showed a single (hilarious) photo of them together it made me sad we didn’t get any scenes with them together. it would have STOLEN this episode. and they teased the hunson golf photo, and death!!! and jake appeared in a photo T_T last jake appearance. 

it also suffers because Peppermint Butler is clearly not himself, imo he was way more entertaining in the Together Again special, where we seem him back to his “normal” self. 

i dont think peps being a dark wizard was something to “kill off” exactly. i wonder what was going on there? was that actually peps, or was that a spirit he cursed himself with based on himself? we at least know in the future he does become a dark wizard again, and even princess :) this special didn’t answer those questions but lol. 

THE GOOD STUFF, because yes, there was a lot of good stuff! 

God, I’m with Aracle and Maya on this - I LOVE Cadebra and her relationship to Pep. I wish she was even in more of this - I would love to watch the adventures of Cadebra and Pepbut in their first year of school, like in the end credits.

That, imo, is where the heart of the special lay - Peppermint Butler’s attempts to impress himself, versus Cadebra’s self acceptance and desire to follow her dreams of being a goofy goober, no matter what other people thought of her. 

It turned out that Cadebra is a responsible student and family member. I really liked that. Her scenes with Abracadaniel were, somehow, my favourite in the entire special! 

I like that theres a lot of cool magic towards the end of this special, and a lot of HORRIFYING DEATH. It wouldn’t be adventure time if you didn’t randomly kill off child characters. Poor Spader, I hated you but damn, what a grim fate. 

I like that Bufo and Caledonius had this crush/hatred thing going on, but they were part of the same cult in the end. 

I didn’t like the giant peps scene at the end, the monster was extremely milquetoast compared to the madness we usually get in AT. Obsidian, for example, had the awesome Larvo design. Nemesis had some INSANE dark magic!!!!  I wish they drew more from that episode. 

Considering how much Steve Little appears in this special, I do feel bad for Mace (little Peps). He said he would have really benefitted from coaching, but recieved none. He had to re-record his lines 3 times! Judging from his description of events, Wizard City was a hard time for him. 

The wizard school did remind me, heavily, of both The Owl House and OK KO. Personally I was hoping AT would offer me something more insane, but I do love both of those shows, and I know Wizard City was on a really tight schedule. 

I think they should have spent less time on the school bullying plot, and skipped straight to MURDER. 

We did have a cold opening, not on par with Together Again’s at all, but damn!

I am wondering where I would put this in the watch list? I do think it should sit after Obsidian as the third special. The intro scene makes it clear this takes place at the same time as Obsidian!!!

Well, that was it, the last ep of AT for the next few years at least T_T

i think together again was the better finale, definitely. but wizard city feels pretty detached from AT for me, despite the familiar characters it tonally isn’t like the show other than the awesome brutal death scenes. I thought the last 11 minutes was easily the best in the special! Which, honestly, is how it should be, though I do wish it gripped me more. Maybe I’m just not the target audience for Wizard City? It feels like something I would find very compelling if I was a bit younger!

FINISHED TRUE COLORS (SPOILERS)

Firts of all, it was absolutly stunning from the graphics, very well done, Alex was also a very nice character.

but i really have to say its more a chill game for me, wehn its sunday, its raining and you will play something, play true colors. For me the chapters wehre way to short, i finished chapter 4 with exploring and all in not even 2 hours, for others games from lis i neened for only 1 episode 4-5 hours.

also that "this will have consqeuenzes" really didnt work for me here, in lis1 wehn you water lisa the plant it had an actuall efffect, in lis2 you decidet what daniel learnt from you and here, nothing, only at the very end if the town supports you or not, the only really qounzecenze are the love intressts and that was it. sad.

saddley also the very big ending choice diddnt affect me so much as in all the others, SACRAFICE BAY OR BAY i littlerly sad there 20 min what i schould do, here i really know it in the first 5 seconds, same goes with the "other big choices" i really hadnt that moment wehre i sit here and tought long what i should do, all was very clear for me.

the music, waht really makes my haert go woosh was in this part also not so headsticking like in the others, sure they all have this lis vibe, beautiful music but not like a john moraly with night in the woods or spanish sahara wehn i just think about it i could cry.

also it was also for me not very omg, what, i really didnt see that comming, like we had with lis2 sean and the eye, lis1 jefferson, bts rachels mom, i really missed these taking you breath away bc im so schooked moments, yeah i had it in this game, but saddly only 1 time....

also that you dont really have a diary, that you know soo much about the people, sure you learn to know them froma diffrent point of few but still, some little deatails what made lis is lis really wehre missing for me here like this or that alex dont have propper diary wehre we really read waht she thinks of that like max, chloe or sean.

i also missed the whole collectibale stuff, like max and the pictures, chloe and the graffitis, sean and the backbag stuff, here you have nothing to collect exept some memories.

i know in lis+bts you wehre also always in the same place but like in lis you wehre at blackwell then in chloes home or at the junkyrad, all with much change, here you wehre really just always at the same place, exploring things and each chapter some small thing had change, that was it. i wish sometimes we could go to the other places nearbye or a neigbouhr town.

the little easter eggs wehre nice but really NO WORD from chloe, at least steph could have said something, like i was once in a town called arcadia bay, it really feelt like we know the other games exist but we really dont wanna make a connection, in lis2 we saw that it worked, missed that also a bit, but we will see what the steph dlc might bring ;)

one thing to the love intressts, i really think its a little sad that this is the only real conzequenz from this game, if you choose rayn or steph, i also dont get that ending wehre you choose rayn, show not really any love emotion to steph and she leaves town but okay

steph, my next point, was great to see her but tought she would have biger role as just the love intresst, but like i wrote before, lets wait for the dlc.

one thing i also noticed you tottally see d9 made this, alone the chapter 4, all the tempest and street sence references, wehn you choose steph, hello amperprice kissining sence ;) or also the dialoge with rayn, tottaly waht rachel sad, also the whole runaway to a,b,or c. like in bts. but hey okay.

in the end it was a very great game, from the graphics, the voice over just all was really pretty, you know who made this but i just missed a bit this woah hey yeah thats lis, with the drama,action ect. overall a good game, for me with lis2 on the same spot but if i had to choose arcadia bay would always win for me.

it was a great exploring of what it feels to expolre the emotions and all, that it was more adult and more neutral, like how life is. also the graaphics wehre just weeee, also chapter 3 was really nice done, i think my fav. from tc.

THE KING: ETERNAL MONARCH EP 11, My Appreciation and How It Made Me Feel

This chaos making Gon not able to comeback to see JTE in Korea for quite long time. As what JTE said on last eps ending, it took a while for him to come this time. I think it will be around a month already. This flashback is one of most beautiful thing this series has, i love every single word in this scene 💯 also The table has turn in here. In eps 2, it was Gon who said this to JTE. Here we see JTE say it “thats why im hoping today is a long day”

And what a shock! JTE saw PM doppelgänger on the street which actually is the real PM. Wah i cant imagine her doing this. What she wants anyway?

And also we saw Luna already in Korea. Messy messy. And im scared on what she can do to JTE. She is able to go with killing 😭 i seriously dont get it why sbs dont give KGE appreciation. She is damn good here!

This episode was very non linear. Chaos. From PM to Luna now JTE suddenly fainted. My mind rolling to think what comes next. Also we got to see JY meeting PM at the Alley ! Too much happening!

Gon is counting on the time stop (love to see him actually using the board and counting like a real mathematician) , he count that eventually time will stop a day and there will be a moment that time will freeze permanently 😭😭 creepy. At this point i really assume to myself that the biggest enemy for Gon here is not LR anymore, but Time. But also later on he will realize that Time will also the one that could help him with a sacrifice. Damn you KES. Whyyyyyy

Herecomes my favorite number 1 scene from this series. Gon found that bookstore and knew that the traitor was the owner all along! Damn the king was angry!!

Then Battle Royale music came in. I mean. This series was definitely made for me. Every reference that they use was all my fav. How can i move on?! From the music, the massacre and Gon’s calm but angry face were great! I am more and more shocked on this kind of dark side that Gon has. Like, isnt he suppose to be fluffy? 😅 anyway. This scene was everything i need from an angry king who will take down all single traitor that trying to validate their bad action with “keeping the balance” . Die you all die! Love how Gon say “Kill Them” before the shots begin !

Gon is angrier to the fact that LR already switched the real traitor to his minion from Korea. Damn i love Gon expression here. Very angry. Here he is feeling scared that LR might have plan to change JTE that is why he is now rushing to look for her or her doppelgänger, each of them found will be a big relief for him.

But little that he knows, JTE abducted already. She is in this warehouse and very weak. With all the energy she still have she is the detective so she tries to see some runaway opportunities, this is what i love about her. She can be warrior when she has too. And she is try to save her ownlife doesnt need to wait for anyone.

She meet Yoyo boy, the conversation between them is not match actually. Also is it a mistranslation from Netflix ? Many assume she is Luna because in the translation she said to YB “but you, you’re in this world too.” This is wrong right? JTE is just said “너, 이쪽에도 있구나” she did not said anythimg about this world. The litteral meaning is just “so you are here too?” Means she is just remembering meeting this child before and say something like “you are here too?” Then its the YB that replied to her in riddle saying “theres only one me, i went there before” there is nobody said anything about which world, its just assumption. Therefore she is JTE and never Luna.

Here also comes YB important role since the thing got chaotic, he is now moving, he said “i warn people of danger and defeat enemy” and he helps JTE and hand her the knife. Remember when Luna said, “use the knife to protect what belongs to you” . Then YB says “im restoring the balance. There are too many enemies” exactly!!! I love this! YB is on her side. Then JTE use the knife to escape. And where is the Yoyo Boy? Dissapeared.

JTE realize now she is in Corea 😨 on the other side LR was angry because JTE escape. Then asking everyone to find here dead or alive. Wahh creepy af!

JTE was tired and weak but still tries to running away from those bad people. I wish i could insert the video instead, so the teaser we saw before is this scene. LR minion tries to catch / kill her and she is tired from running. She tries to reach the phone booth to call the palace. But what she saw in front of her were a bunch of people, many people, coming toward her and she only have 2 bullets left. But she is very brave and just face it, pointing the gun to them and just bitter smile. Damn you KGE, why you are so talented. This whole scene gave me chills!

Then just in time Gon found her and slice everyone with his swords to safe JTE. One of the most dramatic scene in Kdrama history. Everything is so extra. I love it. At first i feel that Gon is wasting his time to do this he can just ask the SWAT to kill them all. But then im re-thinking again. Nope, this is his fight. His love. He definitely has this feelings that this will be his fight using his most grand possesion which is the swords. And also his pride playing. Earlier we saw him furious as a King. Now we see him here furious also as a Man. Damn. Can i get one like him? Please? Also he declares that JTE is the future queen of Corea? 🥺

How it made me feel:

Eps 11 was total chaos. This is the premise and charm of this series. A non linear kind of story. It is so chaos which makes us thinks of way to solve it? Is it even possible to solve this chaos? How? On what terms? Is it just to sacrifice their love? Is it sad ending?

I LOVE IT! A story that keeps me wondering on what, why, when, where and how? This story have all of it. More than what i expected. I love the progress of the story, love all characters growth, there is a clear development, things are getting darker and darker. Many cool reference used here, many great words. Basically the script was that good ya. Just when we think something is clear, another chaos shows up. And im waiting for the next episode like crazy. How can they left us like this??? I cant wait even for a day!

Now we just need to see where KSJ and JY will go because we only see a little of them here.
