I got my dad to watch DS9 with me, and now he's sending Quark memes to the family Whatsapp group and quoting the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition to his colleagues.
I didn't know I was this influential. With the power of Star Trek, I can change the world.

Intro Post:
This is my main blog! Stephanie, 31, she/her TME nonbinary, white. TERFs DNI.
Good faith anons will be entertained and appreciated, as I do love discussion, but bigots, bad faith arguers, and people bringing up long dead topics will just be linked to my wishlist and trolled. I would prefer people under 20 do not follow me.
This is where I post about film and television I enjoy, mostly IWTV, MDZS, House, Star Trek, and whatever movie I've seen recently. Subject to change, lol.
I may reblog from these sideblogs:
@colorisbyshe - this is my main, personal blog with updates on my life and thoughts, my taste in music, and will be filled with "miscellaneous" posting.
@finitefantasy - this is my anime, donghua, and video game blog. Dragon Age, Dunmeshi, Naruto (read: Sasunaru), Final Fantasy, No. 6, and... idk random shit.
Other places to find me: twitter and last.fm; mutuals may ask for texting, whatsapp, insta, PSN, letterboxed, goodreads, etc.
All blogs are run on mildly curated, often shuffled queues.

I think Tumblr will like this.
I have met a friend I haven't seen in 14 years, we don't even speak that often, barely enough so I know he has kids or he changed jobs. He told me he'd be in Madrid for work, see if we could meet up. I came to meet with him. We went for a walk and then for lunch. We spoke a lot.
At some point, I remembered he liked rap a lot and I mentioned it. He said he still likes it, even if he doesn't speak about it as much, but he has a group of friends on whatsapp where they comment new songs that come out. He said he only speaks about it with them or else he will bother everyone else. I said I bother people with my hobbies regardless, how at some point I shared a lot of things about Star Trek with my brother, even if my brother doesn't care for it. So he asked me what I liked about Star Trek. And I told him a bit. And then I asked him about some rap he has listened to lately, and he told me a bit. And for a moment, we both shared things we like with each other, even if the other doesn't care much for it. It was a lovely moment.

Thanks for the tag @thelovelyballroomgeek! Does anyone else listen to interview podcasts and have their answers locked and loaded? Because I uh, definitely don't. (This is a lie. Brett Goldstein, call me.)
Last Song: Raffaella & Hippo Campus - Maps which is a just fine cover but once again the best Maps is the one Ted Leo does in the middle of his Since U Been Gone cover
Currently Watching: I started rewatching Sense8 during Pride so I'm toggling between that and starting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds bc a friend gave me her Paramount Plus password. I'm liking it so far!
Currently Reading: I just started Witch King by Martha Wells and I'm slowly rereading Dark Age by Pierce Brown because the 6th book in the series comes out soon and despite me having a very love hate relationship with it, I'm still gonna read it.
Current Obsession: Honestly tomorrow is the 2 month anniversary and I'm still as into Tears of the Kingdom as I was at 12:03 AM on May 12th when Nintendo finally let me start playing it (per my frantic WhatsApps texts). Am I 1700 words into a fic? Maybe. Am I 60 words into another? Again, maybe! Will they ever see the light of day? Probably not but who knows!
Tagging people recently in my activity so: @allatariel @stoprobbers @beef-a-ronie @ichabodjane @kikilovestosleep

Starting your journey from Tanger opens the door to incredible desert adventures that are just waiting to be explored. But what makes these Tangier desert tours so special? Let’s break it down. Tangier: Your Gateway to the Desert Why Choose Tanger? Tangier serves as an excellent starting point for your desert expedition. Nestled at the northern tip of Morocco, it offers convenient access to the Sahara, making it easy to transition from bustling city life to tranquil desert landscapes. Here are a few reasons why Tangier is the ideal launchpad for your adventure: Proximity to Major Destinations: With various tour options, you can easily reach highlights like Merzouga or the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi. Popular Desert Destinations from Tangier When considering a desert trip from Tangier, it’s essential to know your options. Here are some popular destinations that you might want to include in your itinerary: Merzouga: Known for its stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, Merzouga offers exhilarating camel treks and the chance to experience authentic Berber culture. Zagora: While slightly less popular, Zagora is still a fantastic destination for those looking for a taste of the desert without the long journey. Erg Chigaga: If you’re seeking a more remote experience, the Erg Chigaga dunes offer breathtaking views and fewer tourists. Duration and Route Options One of the most common questions travelers have is, "How long should I spend on my desert adventure?" The answer depends on what you want to experience. Here’s a quick breakdown of duration options: Day Tours: Perfect for those short on time, these desert day trips from Tangier offer a taste of the Sahara without the need for overnight stays. Multi-Day Tours: If you have the time, consider a longer trip that allows for deeper exploration of the desert and surrounding areas. These tours often include additional activities, such as hiking in the Atlas Mountains or visiting local villages. In summary, Tangier is more than just a port city; it’s a gateway to unforgettable desert experiences. Whether you’re planning a quick escape or a longer journey into the heart of the Sahara, the desert tours from Tangier promise breathtaking sights and enriching cultural experiences. So, are you ready to explore the wonders that await just beyond the city limits? Your desert adventure is calling!
2. Highlights of the Desert Tour Experience
What makes a desert tour from Tangier truly unforgettable? While the journey itself is captivating, it’s the unique experiences along the way that leave lasting memories. From thrilling camel rides to the peaceful silence of a starlit night in a Berber camp, there’s something extraordinary waiting around every corner. Camel Trekking Across the Dunes Imagine gliding over the sands on the back of a camel, taking in panoramic views of rolling dunes that stretch endlessly into the horizon. Camel trekking is not only a traditional way to explore the desert but also a serene experience that lets you connect deeply with the vast landscape. Ideal for All Ages: Camel treks are generally gentle and suitable for most age groups, making them perfect for family adventures or romantic getaways. Photo Opportunities: As you ride, you’ll encounter breathtaking spots perfect for capturing that iconic Sahara snapshot. Overnight Stays in Desert Camps A desert trip from Tangier isn’t complete without a night spent under the stars. Whether you opt for a luxury camp or a traditional setup, staying overnight in the desert is an unforgettable experience. Luxury or Traditional: Choose between comfortable luxury tents with full amenities or a more rustic, authentic experience. Stargazing Paradise: With little light pollution, the desert sky at night becomes a glittering display of stars, perfect for stargazing. Exploring Traditional Berber Villages and Culture One of the unique aspects of desert travel from Tangier is the chance to immerse yourself in the rich Berber culture. Many tours include stops at Berber villages, where you can meet locals, shop in vibrant markets, and taste authentic Moroccan dishes. Market Visits: Experience the bustling energy of a Berber market and find unique souvenirs to bring home. Moroccan Cuisine: Try traditional dishes like tagine, prepared using age-old recipes passed down through generations. Sandboarding and Other Adventure Activities For those seeking a bit more excitement, sandboarding is a must-try activity. A Unique Way to Experience the Dunes: Sandboarding offers a new perspective on the Sahara, making for a memorable addition to your trip.
3. What to Pack and Prepare for the Tour
Packing for a desert tour requires a bit of planning. The Sahara’s unique climate means you’ll need to be prepared for both warm days and cool nights. Here’s a guide on what to bring to make your Tangier desert tour as comfortable as possible. Essential Clothing and Gear Packing the right clothing can make all the difference. From sun protection to warm layers for chilly nights, here’s what you’ll need: Light, Breathable Fabrics: Choose clothes that are comfortable and allow air circulation. Layers for Nighttime: Desert nights can get surprisingly cold, so bring along a jacket or sweater. Protective Accessories: Don’t forget a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen. Tips for Staying Comfortable in the Desert Desert conditions can be extreme, but with a few simple tips, you’ll be able to stay comfortable and hydrated throughout the day. Hydration Is Key: The desert heat can be intense, so drink water frequently, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Sun Protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are must-haves to prevent sunburn and protect yourself from the harsh rays. Photography and Souvenirs Capture the beauty of the Sahara and bring home memories of your adventure. Photography Gear: Bring a camera or smartphone with good battery life and storage for photos. Souvenirs from Local Markets: Look out for handcrafted items, rugs, jewelry, and pottery to bring back a piece of Morocco with you.
4. Best Time to Take a Desert Tour from Tangier
When is the best time to set out on a desert trip from Tangier? Knowing the seasonal conditions will help you make the most of your journey, ensuring comfortable temperatures and ideal sightseeing opportunities. Seasonal Weather and Desert Conditions Morocco’s desert climate varies with the seasons, and understanding these conditions can help you plan a comfortable and enjoyable tour. Spring (March to May): Spring offers warm days and cool nights, ideal for comfortable travel and outdoor activities. Autumn (September to November): Similar to spring, autumn is a fantastic season for a desert adventure, with fewer tourists and moderate weather. Avoiding Crowds Traveling during peak season can mean larger crowds, so here are a few tips to find a more peaceful experience. Off-Peak Travel: Avoid peak summer and winter holiday seasons if you’re looking for a quieter adventure. Booking Weekdays: Weekends tend to be busier, so plan your desert tour for weekdays when possible. Special Events and Festivals in the Desert Want to add a bit of culture to your trip? Consider timing your tour around local events or festivals that take place in and around the desert. Annual Desert Festivals: Experience Moroccan traditions, music, and dance at events like the International Nomads Festival or the Merzouga Music Festival. Local Celebrations: Some villages have unique events that you can experience during your stay, offering a glimpse into authentic desert life.
5. Choosing the Right Tour Operator
Selecting the right tour operator can make or break your experience. Here’s how to find a reputable provider for your Tangier to Sahara desert tour, so you can enjoy every moment with confidence. Private vs. Group Tours One of the first choices you’ll face is between a private or group tour. Each option has its perks depending on what you’re looking for. Private Tours: Great for those who prefer a personalized experience and flexibility with the schedule. Group Tours: A budget-friendly option that also offers a social experience with other travelers. What to Look for in a Tour Operator Choosing a reliable tour operator ensures your journey will be safe, enjoyable, and well-organized. Safety Standards: Look for companies that prioritize safety and have well-trained guides. Customer Reviews: Reading reviews on travel sites can give you insight into others’ experiences. Comparing Costs and Inclusions Make sure you understand what’s included in the tour price. Here are a few things to check before booking: Accommodations and Meals: Some tours include meals and accommodations, while others may not. Extras and Hidden Costs: Be clear on any extra fees for activities or amenities to avoid surprises. Ready to plan your desert adventure! - Contact us via WhatsApp +212722280837 or Send Your Email Address: We were unable to confirm your registration. Your registration is confirmed. hello, yes, this place is still bad for my mental health, but I feel the temptation to pop in more often than I used to.
need to apply for one more job I won't get, and then I might try spending time on the WIPs I know no one is interested in reading, but if I finish writing them, I will be able to read them back, and they cater to my very niche interests.
would like another rp -- my current rp is probably dying a slow death, which is bad for my mental health and is probably partly why I suddenly find myself with so much time that I'm filling it by checking this hellsite. I'm mourning. my partner says they plan to reply when they have time, but if it takes weeks to get a short reply. the line is dying, even after several years (or perhaps because it's been several years, and although I have all the motivation in the world to keep going, perhaps they are running out of motivation and steam).
ISO people who like to talk about nonsense (fandom, not that I'm deeply in fandom right now, writing, etc) via email or whatsapp because those are the only places I'm active right now unless you count Zuckerfuck's Hellsite (I just can't function on other platforms, I'm sorry).
I'm struggling to function on a basic level, as always, but I'm technically gainfully (under)employed and haven't offed myself yet. I'm still mourning the good fandom friend I talked about everything with 15+ years ago who has since drifted away. I still have very little support system IRL and no one to talk to about my current interests. it's fun just ... you know. existing.
drop a line if you have feelings about Challengers, possibly Downton Abbey (although I've gone low-energy with that one lately, it's still my love), Kelvin-verse Star Trek (will I update the McChekov fic with 20K unpublished words sitting on my harddrive? maybe), RWRB (messy, book is definitely imperfect, still special to me though, hate the film with me as I pretend I'm going to finish my epic WIP that I've posted no part of). lowkey getting back into the fandom side of HP, though you couldn't pay me to interact with anything Rowling is up to these days. I just had so many good memories there (in the fandom spaces) that it's drawn me back a bit (Remus/everyone, thx). I'm also still stuck in a happy pre-Endgame MCU place. I have no idea what's going on in canon these days, but I might circle around to doing some ficcage that ignores the past several years if I get the energy and focus together no that work stuff may be giving me some brainspace.
I'm going to try to spend only as much time over here as is healthy for me, which is limited, but honestly IDK where else on the internet to find people to talk to, so hello hellsite denizens.
