When you moved to Japan you never expected to fall for someone. No, not this hard. You remember the day you saw him last summer when you arrived, working with a tall red-head on a car in front of his house. They were on break it seemed as they passed each other a blunt to share, the blonde one leaning back against the hood as he took a drag. You saw him tilt his head up to greet a girl as she walked by, a smirk written across his lips as he waved to her.
The red-head waved to her in comradery, his smile warm and inviting. He was handsome, sure. But he couldn’t possibly compare to the blonde one. You watched from the window of your bedroom as they put out the blunt and continued their work, observing the way the blonde stranger held his wrench. His tanned skin glows under the heated sun, moaning at the sight of his sweat glistening off his building muscles. His blonde hair seemed to shine just like the sun that reflected upon it, noticing the way your heart slammed against your chest the longer you stared at him. He was beautiful. Like a breath of fresh air. Like as if just watching him through your window gave your body a pick me up. You had to know him. Had to smell him. Had to have him. You grab your keys and lock up your home, acting as if you’re just in the neighborhood and not a person who lives two doors from him that was watching him from her window. You pull down your tank top, pushing up your breasts to ensure you nab his attention as you walk by. You almost trip on your shoe laces when you hear his gruff voice up close, a feeling in your core set ablaze when you hear him call you over.
“Oi. Where you headed, sexy?” He asked, nudging his redhead buddy as if to tell him to watch and learn. You bite your lip before turning to him, putting up a front like he doesn’t make you nervous.
“Just passing by. I like walking in this weather.” You lie, feeling your forehead perspire as he turns around to grab his phone from his tool box. He strolls over to you with swagger in his steps, taking your breath away a second time as you realize he’s about to be up close and personal. Your eyes sprout visible hearts in your irises, looking up at him with a love sick gaze that causes him to smirk.
“Name’s Katsuki. What’s yours?” He asked, reaching his big hand out for you to shake. Katsuki. It was like a song when you said it aloud.
“Y/N… it’s nice to meet you.” You say, flustered; nearly dropping to the ground when he lifts your hand to kiss it. This feeling. It had to be what it felt like to be electrocuted -- like someone just took a defibrillator to your chest and made you feel alive. He hands you his phone with a smirk.
“Maybe we could get to know each other better? ‘M havin’ a party at my place. My roommate Kirishima’s still in college and he’s inviting his frat losers over for beers. It’d be nice to have a pretty girl like you to show off.” He says smoothly, the sound of his voice like a hymn to your ears.
“I’d like that..” You say, nodding, taking his phone to put in your phone number. You save your contact under your name, adding a few cute emojis before you hand him his phone.
“Oi, shitty hair! I’ve got a date to the party tonight. Catch up loser.” He says, turning to Kirishima to flip him the bird; Kirishima flipping him off back. “See you tonight? You’d better be there.” He winks, walking back over to the curb to finish fixing his car with his roommate. The redhead smiles at you and waves goodbye.
“Nice to meet you! Hope you come out tonight. Bakugo’s been slackin’ with the ladies.” He teased, Bakugo shooting him a glare as he threw a towel at his chest. You giggle, walking away with a shy wave. Looping back around the block, you arrive home; holding the hand he kissed against your face with a sigh. You didn’t wash that hand all day. It was like you could still feel his plush lips on your skin even hours after he kissed it. It was like a drug and you needed another fix.
Tumblr media
You hear crickets chirping from the grass as you knock on his door, standing with a hot container of nachos for the party to make a good impression. The door swings open, your heart dropping when you only see Kirishima.
“Y/N! You made it! Come on in.” He chimes, taking the nachos from you and leading you inside. He leads you to Bakugo who’s playing beer pong with a few friends, not even noticing that you’re standing across the room.
“Yo, Bakugo! Our new neighbor’s here.” Kirishima beckoned, his mouth full of nachos as he turned to go to the other room with his other friends. After hearing his loud outburst and completely missing his shot because of it, he groaned and walked over to you.
“Glad you showed up. You would’ve made me look like a loser if you didn’t show up.” He teased, wrapping his arm around your waist to lead you over to the couch. The night started smoothly, drinking flowing and laughs shared as you both got to know each other.
“So you moved here a week ago. What brings you here?” He asked, sipping his beer. He doesn’t need to know the exact reason as to why you wandered here. Truth is, you’ve done some dark things in your past; things you don’t exactly regret no matter how gruesome.
“I just… love Japan.” You lie, your mind flashing to blood on your hands -- a blade clutched within your fingertips. You blink a few times when Bakugo turns away to greet a friend, trying to shake your flashback. Bakugo turns over to you, his eyes locked on your cleavage as he leans in close to you.
“Wanna go upstairs?” He asks randomly, tilting your chin up to his face and kissing your lips just about as randomly as that question. It didn’t make any sense how much control this man has over your thoughts -- over your body. Before you knew it you were upstairs in his room parting your thighs for him, feeling him deep inside your soaked cunt. It felt as if every thrust of his hips tugged at your heart strings, falling deeper in love -- yes in love.
Bakugo may just be using you for a quick fuck, but fine by you. As long as you can smell him, feel him, taste him; it didn’t matter. Or maybe it did. Maybe the sight of Bakugo with another woman would drive you mad. Maybe he was meant to be yours and he just didn’t know how much he loves you yet. You’ll show him, but for now you just claw at his back as his hips snap in harsh thrusts.
“Like that? Huh, slut?” He slurred in your ear, taking your breasts into his hands and squeezing tightly. You moan out in response, feeling your soul combine with his with every glide of his cock against your slick walls. His mean words sound like a love poem to you, relishing in his demeaning tone as he fucked your thoughts right out of your head. At this point you’re soaking, hearing your own wetness squelch when you cream around him. A knot forms in your stomach, whining when you feel him hitting your spongy spot with sloppy slaps of skin to skin.
“U-Uuhh, fuck, Y/N.” He moaned when he felt you get tighter, moving faster to get you both to the finish line of pleasure. The sound only drove you into euphoria, wanting to hear him moan your name for the rest of your life.
“‘M yours, Katsu. Anything you want. I’ll do anything to make you feel good. Anythin’ for you.” You plea, Bakugo groaning in response. It almost sounded endearing but being as you had only just met today and you’re this devoted to pleasing him is a little weird. Still, the thought of someone as hot as you at his every beck and call whenever he felt an ache in his cock sounded amazing.
“Dirty little slut. So desperate for my cock, aren’t you?” He grunts. His lips latch onto your swollen nipples, running his tongue over it to cause chills to run up and down your spine.
The knot in your stomach snaps as your mind blurs, only feeling an intense sensation of pleasure when you feel him cum in thick ropes inside you. Bakugo’s head hangs back as his hips ride out your highs, groaning as he looks at your fucked out state.
“Good, huh? Shiit.” He groaned, pulling his softening cock out of your used pussy. You whine at the loss, feeling like he just pulled out a piece of your heart with his dick. The careless and sloppy act of him wiping his cum from your thighs was the most romantic act of kindness you’d ever received, looking at him like a love sick puppy as he tossed the soiled towel into his hamper. After flopping into bed next to you, he was out like a light as he lay on his stomach. He let you stay there that night. In his room. The place he lives most of his day. A sudden rush of adrenaline surges through your body as you carefully climb out of bed, creeping around his room to look at all his stuff. You find his closet and steal a hoodie or two, moaning softly when you catch his scent still engraved in the fabric.
You fall to the floor as you inhale the faint scent of his cologne, nearly orgasming a second time that night as you writhe on the floor. Staring at the ceiling, you ponder about your potential life with Katsuki; even though you haven't even known him for 24 hours yet. What if you get pregnant from having sex with him tonight? Wouldn’t that just be wonderful? He’d be yours forever. No one could ever come between you.
You loved Katsuki, loved him. He doesn’t know he loves you yet, you thought. Having sex with him seemed to link you to him forever. This drunken hook up was destiny -- hell it was fate. You can’t wait to move in here and carry his child. You can’t wait to share the rest of your lives together raising a family once that red headed idiot moved out. What was his name again? He’s a little too close to Katsuki. Way too close. Was he trying to steal him? Trying to keep you away from him? You’ll put a stop to that. By any means necessary. Katsuki doesn’t have a choice.
“Y/N? Why are you on the floor?”

— Kirishima answers a phone call that wasn’t intended for him, and of course he can’t help but be interested in the beautiful voice and soul that angrily began to rant about their day. —

pairing: kirishima eijirou x fem!reader

a/n: this was a stupid thought that slammed into my mind, and here it is!!!! now I have a calc midterm tomorrow that I did not look at because why think about double derivatives and integrals when I can think about kirishima????
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
It was eleven at night when Kirishima strolled out of his bathroom, ready to go to bed. After a rather long day, he was looking forward to sleeping and not having to wake up at the crack of dawn. Tomorrow for the very first day in a very long time, he wouldn’t have to work at the local coffee shop he was hired at. It was a job he had acquired with his good friends on the promise of it being a manageable job on top of his college work, and of course, the pretty girls who would go in.
From what Kirishima had gathered from the four months working there was that there were a lot of pretty girls who entered the coffee shop — most of which were focused on the angry ash-blond friend of his — and that it was so unnecessarily stressful.
Some days he was up at four in the morning to open at six for the morning regulars, then he’d go to his afternoon classes, only to return for a two-hour shift in the middle of rush hour, and would leave while trying to keep the peace between a certain ash-blond and two new hires. To say the least, it was hell on Earth at times.
Regardless, he didn’t have to open tomorrow morning, so he was content! On top of not having classes tomorrow, Kirishima was excited to sleep in.
Falling on his bed with a massive sigh, Kirishima snuggled his face into his pillow, rejoicing in the way that the laundry detergent still clung to the fabric and relaxed.
Sleep sounded so—
RIIING.
RIIING.
Kirishima’s eyes slammed open, his head snapping to see his illuminating phone on his nightstand. He had no idea who the hell was calling this late. There was no way it was Bakugou; he was asleep already at this point. Sero had broken his phone two days ago during a failed stunt and wouldn’t be able to get a new phone until the weekend. Kaminari only called him when there was a bug in his apartment, but he was currently closing… maybe it was Mina? Kirishima shook his head, no, he hadn’t spoken to Mina in ages.
Grabbing the phone, he didn’t bother to look at the caller ID and answered.
“Hello—?”
“Oh my god, I am fucking raging! You can’t believe what kind of fuckery I just went through tonight!” a voice shouted into the receiver, and Kirishima flinched a bit at the loud and angry voice. “So you know how I wasn’t supposed to work today, right? Because my coworker had sex with her ex-boyfriend like an idiot, and I owed her for covering my shift three months ago, but anyways irrelevant. I’m taking the order of this one group of adults. That’s right, A-D-U-L-T-S, adults! They are completely staring at my tits the entire time, and not my face. At first, I thought maybe you know, I had spilled something on my tits earlier, no. No! NOTHING! So I call them out on it, and they say something along the lines of ‘you could be a camgirl with that body, but like not in a sex sort of way’ I’m sorry, WHAT?! Like yes, continue sexually harassing your server who is a college student and therefore has no will to live, so will gladly beat your Gucci belt wearing ass into a bloody pulp! What they gonna do? Sue me? I have one dollar to my name, fucking take it, I don’t care, I’ll find another dollar in the sewer after I beat their asses up!
“But you know, I’m saying all this in my head because I’m broke and can’t afford to be fired from this place because the tips are hella good here. But they continue saying dumb shit, and then the obvious ringleader — I know he was the ring leader because his beard looks like it was the first picture printed on a new ink cartridge and his manspread was ten times wider than all of theirs — have the fucking audacity to slip his number while only tipping TEN DOLLARS ON A TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR TAB!!!!” Kirishima doesn’t know what to say, his jaw on his mattress, breathing having stopped while your voice wheezes from your lack of air. He makes a croaking noise, wanting to speak up and apologize for what had happened and for not being the person you thought it was, but it seemed that you weren’t over. “AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THAT FUCKING KAREN!!! ‘I didn’t like the way you looked at me so I won’t be tipping you tonight!’ yeah, well maybe if you didn’t order enough FOOD TO FEED AN ARMY AND KEPT SENDING IT BACK I WOULDN’T BE LOOKING AT YOU LIKE THAT!!!”
There was a pause, and Kirishima, while feeling entirely sorry for you, finally spoke, “Fuck, that sounds... horrible.”
“Damn right, it was horri— wait, who the fuck is this?” your voice squeaked, and Kirishima almost started to laugh at the difference in the tone your voice took. Once so loud, angry, and entirely ‘fuck the world,’ had changed into a meek and embarrassed voice.
“Um, this is Kirishima. Kirishima Eijiriou?”
“This isn’t Hagakure?” you moaned into the phone. “03-9082-2395? That isn’t this number?”
“2-2-9-5,” Kirishima repeated his own number back, a small smile overcame his features knowing that you had accidentally misdialed a number.
“Fuck my fat fingers,” you cursed, and Kirishima chuckled lightly at the mutterings that were poorly picked up. “Well, um, I am so sorry for calling you and dumping that unnecessary bullshit on you—”
“No, no,” Kirishima interrupted, rolling onto his back, staring up at the dimly lit ceiling. “It’s totally okay! You seem less stressed out now too, and it really isn’t a big deal!”
“You are very kind, Kirishima Eijirou,” you laugh, and Kirishima can’t help but imagine a figure curled up on a couch.
“Thank you!” he beamed, a hand threading through his hair, “um, but what happened with the Karen? And why were you typing in your friend’s phone number?”
“Do you really want to know?” you ask after a fit of bubbling laughter; it seemed that you were not at all convinced.
“I work at a coffee shop for one, so I totally understand the Karen situations! Secondly, all my contacts are on my phone, I don’t have a single one of them memorized!”
“Okay, okay, okay, I do not have this number memorized! Hagakure is my roommate, and she has a new number that she left posted on our fridge and because Mr. Sprinkles left in the middle of my rant, I called her to finish it!” you explain in what Kirishima could only consider being childlike glee. “And a coffee shop? Oof, Kirishima, you might have it just as bad as I do then.”
“Ever had a boiling cup of coffee thrown back at your face?”
“Shut. Up.”
“I wish I was joking!”
“The nastiest thing I’ve ever been put through is a highschool couple breaking up in the middle of the restaurant, and a bowl of cold soup and milkshake were thrown at me! And I had to work for another five hours!”
“That… that beat mine by a long shot…”
“Okay, but like, it was cold. If you hadn’t dodged, you’d be dead!”
As time passed Kirishima soon found himself sitting up on his bed, his back pressed against the headboard, a lamp on so that he wasn’t in the dark while he talked to you. Somehow conversation flowed so perfectly between the two of you, so smoothly, so naturally. You had extremely compelling energy and a pretty bright one at that as well. Your stories were exceedingly extravagant, most derailing into hundreds of side stories before making its way back to the main point, but he didn’t mind. Though there was no proof, he imagined that your arms were swinging around while you talked, a bright smile on your face, and lights shining in your eyes.
“So anyway, I had to beg my professor to let me remake this exam because, for some reason, my brain would not switch back to Japanese. I almost cried because I was only speaking in English, and I think because I am an amazing person, my professor let me do that!” you laughed after explaining an issue with being fluent in a third language.
“My English skills deteriorated after leaving high school, I’m rather jealous you can speak three languages,” Kirishima admitted, his head falling back onto the cold wall. “My Japanese professors probably think my Japanese sucks too.”
“Just because I am amazing and can speak three languages doesn’t mean I’m perfect at it,” you laugh, obviously trying to make him feel better about himself.
“Mm, I don’t know, you’re painting yourself as a pretty perfect person,” Kirishima sighed. “Or you have an enormous ego…”
A loud scoff came from your end of the phone, and Kirishima waited for your verbal retaliation but was met with a moment of silence.
“Oh! Welcome home!” you called out, and Kirishima quickly put together that your roommate Hagakure was home. “Yeah, no, I’m talking to someone right now! ...who? Oh, um, a friend! ...no, I tried to call you when I got home but misdialed your number and got him instead! NO! You’re not going to get a pic of him! Wait, it’s what time?!”
Kirishima’s eyes fell over to his alarm clock and saw in the dim red light that it was 04:57.
His jaw dropped.
“Well, um, Kirishima, it seems that our call is going to end,” you whisper into the phone, and Kirishima lets out a breathless chuckle, sudden sleepiness creeping into him. “It was pretty fun chatting with you stranger, thanks for putting up with that ranting in the beginning! Most normal people wouldn’t have picked up or let me rant like that!”
“It’s no problem,” Kirishima smiled softly, his fingers stretching out to turn off the light. He licked his lips, five hours on a phone call with an absolute stranger, and he didn’t have your name, and better yet, a part of him wanted to ask if it was okay to be friends. You were magnetic to him, and he wanted to know more about you, even if this was this weird modern and accidental penpal thing. “I didn’t have anything to do today, and you were fun talking to!”
“Aww, thank you!”
Silence.
Ask, he thought, his teeth biting down onto his bottom lip. Ask!
“Um, I know this is weird and all, but do you think I can keep your number?” you ask, your voice almost timid and meek.
Kirishima’s heart rate spikes at those words, he very much wanted that, but his mouth had a mind of its own it seemed. “Why?”
“Wha— well, I just had a lot of fun talking with you! It was fun, and I don’t know, you seem like a pretty chill guy!”
His fingers gripped his phone, a warmth spreading through him when he relaxed under his sheets. “On one condition.”
“Oof, if you’re going to ask to decide between Crimson Riot or All Might you’re going to be—”
“No, no,” Kirishima lets out a snort, his shoulders rolling while he imagines the curious look coming over your face. “I would like to know your name?”
“My name? Why would you want— HOLY SHIT! I never gave you—” there was a loud noise on your end of the call, and Kirishima heard you apologize profusely before returning in a hushed whisper. “Sorry! Sorry! I didn’t give you my name?!”
“No,” he laughed loudly, one that was pushed from his belly, spreading warmth through his body. “You never did, but I did learn every name of every person you’ve ever talked with!”
“God,” you groan, a small whine emitted from you. “I’m an idiot, I’m so sorry! Y/l/n y/n at your service!”
Y/l/n y/n, that’s a pretty name, he thought while imagining just what you could look like.
“Well, goodnight y/l/n, I’ll save your number, and we’ll see if you still would like to be friends when you wake up?”
There was a small noise of agreement, “I’m like a drug, Kirishima, you’ll be back for more.”
“Okay, okay, goodnight…”
“Goodnight, sweet dreams!”
“Sweet dreams.”
Kirishima listened to the line ending, and he pulled his phone away from his ear and no sooner did he do that, a text came in at what he believed to be your number:
don’t let the bed bugs bite! 🕷😱‼️
He snorted and replied back before eventually letting sleep consume him.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
“You’ll never believe what just happened!” you squealed into the phone, and Kirishima laughed while wiping his sweaty face with a white towel. You had called thirty minutes earlier than usual and had caught him leaving the gym.
It had been a bit over two months since your misdial, and things with you had been going pretty well for strangers. The two of you didn’t talk every day, most weeks going by with just a single call, but they were always delightful talks. You worked most nights, and he most mornings, the two of you discovered. So most calls took place the night he didn’t have to work the following morning.
“You got a customer who complained that there was too much salt in their meal that had no salt in it?” he asked, pulling a random story of something that had happened at his own coffee shop today. You let out an amused snort, a clear indicator that he was wrong, but found his guess to be amusing at the very least.
“No, but oddly enough, someone did ask for an insane amount of salt on their food and hated it!” you sang, clearly happy with how you found their distress to be funny.
“Close enough!” Kirishima laughed, but he was straight out of guesses, so he stopped. “So, what happened?”
“I tried coffee for the first time ever today!” you squealed loudly, and Kirishima cheered happily.
Through these two months, there were some hard facts that Kirishima had learned about you. One, you were living in the same city as him. Two, you worked at a semi-classy restaurant. Three, you had two roommates named Hagakure and Jirou. Four, you were twenty, just like him. And five, you were a child who only drank hot chocolate and tea because you were afraid of coffee.
~
“Caffeine is a drug you know,” you had snarkily teased him one night when he said he was going to make a cup of coffee. “Nice to know I’m friends with an addict!”
“If drugs were as amazing as coffee, I’d be an addict!”
“You know…” your voice whispered, your voice suddenly taking a guilty approach. “I’ve never actually tried coffee…”
“WHAT?!”
~
“Wow, look at you, becoming an old woman in front of my own eyes!” Kirishima chuckled, starting his walk back home.
His fingers pushed the headphones to be more secure over his ears, hopeful that there it wouldn’t pick up too heavily on the wind of the outside world.
“To be honest, it wasn’t that good, your taste buds are just tarnished from drinking that bitter crap all day!” you huff and he half imagined you turning your nose up.
“Okay, okay,” Kirishima laughed, a warmth flooding in his chest at the sounds of your muffled laughter. A visible indicator that you were also amused at this. “I hated coffee until I started working at a coffee shop, and that was because I needed to know my shit.”
“Wow, you only got that job while not being a coffee addict?” you tease. “Seems like a fake barista to me.”
“It’s pretty hard to believe, I know,” Kirishima stated his tone one of fake melancholy. “I’m so sorry for deceiving you, and honestly, I am a shit barista.”
“Aww, don’t say that!” you exclaim, and it seems like you’re ready to fight him. “I bet you put all those fancy TikTok baristas to shame!”
“TikTok?” he laughed, his pace speeding up just a bit so he would get home faster. “Wow, I am honored you think that!”
The light conversation continued, nothing too deep or too intense, just chatter about today's shifts and classes. Eventually, Kirishima made it back into his apartment complex, and stumbled into his room, collapsing onto his bed.
“Can I ask something?” you ask suddenly, and Kirishima lets out a small hum.
“Yeah, of course, what’s up?”
“What do you look like?” you asked softly as if you were curled up in bed, seconds from letting sleep consume you. “I haven’t come up with a mental image that I like, and well, I want some hints.”
“I can just send you a picture of me,” Kirishima smiles, his eyes closing. “It would be much easier than me trying to explain to you what I look like.”
“No!” you disagree, and there's a long sigh from your end of the phone. “I’m not ready for that kind of information yet, Kiri. I just… I can’t accept a pic of you without sending one back, and I’m not mentally ready for that yet…”
“Don’t tell me the big fat Gucci bougie you is shy?!” Kirishima exclaimed, humor drowning his words as he referenced you to something you had called yourself one drunken night weeks ago.
“Not shy!” you bemoan, your voice muffling out at the end of it. “I’m more scared you’ll find me ugly and ghost me…”
“I don’t think that’s possible,” Kirishima interjected, his voice stable and confident.
“Which part?”
“Both parts.”
“How do you know that? You don’t know what I look like…”
“...call it… Kirishima’s intuition,” Kirishima slowly stated, his eyebrows furrowing. “I find your voice and your personality to be attractive on their own, so I would never ghost you. And of course, appearance isn’t anything; plus, there’s no way you’re not gorgeous.”
He says these words with honest truth, and a part of him fears he overstepped and made you wildly uncomfortable with the amount of silence that is heard from your end of the line. But finally, as Kirishima is ready to apologize to you, a soft exhale is heard.
“You’re a dork,” you whisper, and a soft grin spreads on his own face. “Anyways, I’ll ask questions, you answer them first, and then I’ll do the same.”
“Sounds good!”
“Hair color?”
“Black, but I dye it red.”
“Mm, edgy teenager, I like it, and also knew that because you complained about your stained sheets! Eye color?”
“Red.”
“Oh, am I sensing a theme? How tall are you?”
“I’m… a bit over six feet?”
The list went on, most questions becoming more of a joke than anything else, but he was glad that you were asking these things because now he had an insight on how you looked too. You had told him your eye color, your hair color, how tall you were, and a whole bunch of trivial things he would have never thought to ask about to begin with.
“Okay, last question!” you cheered, happy to have finally included Kirishima into your inside joke that revolved around your eyebrows. “Do you have any distinguishing features?”
“Well, I don’t actually...” Kirishima admitted, his fingers brushing against the scar on his eye, and then it hit him. That was one! “Oh, wait—” CRASH. A loud crashing noise emitted from your side of the call.
“Shit, hold on!” you curse and Kirishima can only remain silent while he hears you yelling in the background, it was too far away for him to quite understand, but it was enough to know that it didn’t sound okay.
Kirishima sat on his side of the call, the phone pressed to his ear while he tried to strip his gross and sweaty shirt from his body. His teeth bit into his lip, his canine pressing into the permanent indent of his lip, an indicator of how anxious he used to be.
“Fuck, Kiri?” your voice suddenly snapped back onto the call, your tone frantic and quick.
“Everything okay?”
“No, Hagakure showed up drunker than… a drunken drunk, I don’t know expressions, ANYWAYS I know tonight is our unofficial official call night, but anyway I can get a rain check?”
There was guilt that swallowed your voice, a pang of guilt that made Kirishima warm a bit because it showed that you valued these calls, just like him.
“Of course, I don’t have class or work Friday morning this time around, so Thursday night?”
“That works perfectly,” you sigh, gratitude. “I owe you, text you later if you don’t fall asleep! Goodnight, sweet dreams, love ya!”
Kirishima couldn’t repeat the whole statement before you hastily hung up, but he couldn’t keep the smile off his face the entire time he showered. The shower didn’t take too long, and by the time he emerged from the shower, towel around his neck and his waist, he had a text message.
sero - hey bro!!! i can’t pick up my morning shift tomorrow i know you have tonight to speak w y/n but todoroki and bakugou can’t cover it!
Kirishima sighed, he definitely didn’t have anything tomorrow anyways, he could manage with going in for an extra shift to help a friend.
kirishima - yeah sure what time?
sero - youre a life saver T-T im covering 8 am - 3 pm!!!
Kirishima sent a simple affirmative emoji before finishing up his nightly routine.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
Kirishima looked at his apron while he was assembling himself in the backroom. The aroma of roasted coffee beans and pastries was almost pungent in the back, and he was eager to get out of there. As per employee regulations, he was to wear a black apron, a name tag, and something to hold his hair because it was a bit too long, for that, he wore a white bandana around his forehead.
“Wait, where’s my name tag?” Kirishima called out, his eyebrows furrowing when he turned out to Kaminari, who was currently in the back with him.
The blond froze and scratched the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly, “About that…”
So Kirishima was in the front of the store with a shiny silver name tag that read Hanta Sero. Because Kaminari was the best barista they had on hand currently, he was busy teaching Midoriya — their newest hire — around the bar. For now, Todoroki was nowhere to be found, and Kirishima was handling the cash register.
Today was a slow morning, most people had their day off today, so morning coffee rush wasn’t in existence. Sure, there were a few outliers, but it was never chaotic.
The gentle bell of the front door rang, and Kirishima automatically called out.
“Welcome!”
You had walked into the store, your eyebrows furrowed while you prayed that this was the coffee shop your roommates had been raving about. You’d never been here before, but it was the closest coffee shop available that wasn’t something generic and basic like Starbucks. You looked up from your phone at the voice, a thank you automatically being repeated while you neared the register.
You froze when you saw the red hair and the red eyes of the handsome man at the register. A careless thought entered your mind, Kirishima said he had red hair and red eyes… but he said he didn’t work today…
A kind smile sat on his face, his eyes taking you in, waiting for you to approach him.
This couldn’t be him, right?
The last time you had assumed a redhead working in a coffee shop was Kirishima, it had ended embarrassingly.
“Um, hi,” you drawled out, your eyes reading the board to figure out your own order.
Kirishima couldn’t keep his eyes off of you, you were exactly what you had described to him, but he wouldn’t ask until he was sure. He would ask you for your name after collecting your order for either tea or hot chocolate, and if it was you, he’d reveal that he was Kirishima. But he didn’t want to be wrong; he didn’t want to pin any other person as you, after all.
“I’ve never been here before,” you confess, your hand rubbing the back of your head. You were transfixed on the caramel macchiato that was spelled in the prettiest font, though, plus Hagakure promised all their coffee was good.
“Oh, well, welcome! If you need any recommendations or have anything else to order, I can put those through while you look?”
His smile was kind, and you felt blood rush to your face, something you desperately tried to fight off by thinking of anything you didn’t like.
“Oh! I do have two orders, though! There’s going to be one chai tea latte with three pumps of vanilla, and a lavender tea with a splash of oat milk.”
Kirishima nodded his head, “Will this be for here, or to go?”
His voice sounds so similar to Kirishima, you hoped, studying his face. While you answered that it was to go, you saw a distinctive scar on his right eye. Kirishima had said he didn’t have any distinguishing features…
“What are your favorites here?” you ask, your eyebrows scrunched in confusion, your thoughts very evident in your face.
Kirishima couldn’t help but find hope bubbling up in his chest, there was always the possibility that you two lived in the same city-based off the same area code, and with what seemed like an incomplete knowledge in coffee, maybe…
Kirishima rambled off about the different seasonal drinks right now, his recommendations leaning towards the teas and non-coffee things primarily after his general and basic list. You seemed to take every word out of his lip like gospel, agreeing and nodding when appropriate, and his lips stretched into a grin when you bluntly exclaimed your ill knowledge of this all.
“To be honest, I only step into coffee shops to take a cute pic and then leave,” you laugh, pressing your hands against your lips and screaming a bit in your throat.
Kirishima laughed, more confidence blooming through his body over the hope that this was you. It had to be you.
Your eyes then found the nametag on his apron, and like a sinking ship, you read Sero.
Not Kirishima.
“And for you?”
“I’ll have the caramel macchiato,” you decide, a grateful smile on your face while he looks down and writes the orders.
“A name?”
“Penny,” came your automatic response.
You never used your real name in coffee shops.
Kirishima suppressed the way that his mouth wanted to drop into a sad smile, and like two rejected teenagers, the money was exchanged. Before Kirishima could attempt to calm his disappointed soul, you walked out of the shop with the coffees and tea in hand.
“What was that about?” Kaminari asked, his eyes wide. “There was so much flirting and then poof, gone from both sides. Come on, dude, it’s my job to fail at flirting, not yours!”
Kirishima laughed, ignoring the way that his three friends looked at him with concern and curiosity. “Nothing, I just… the customer looked like how y/n described herself to be…”
“Oh… sorry, bro.”
“Nah, it’s all good,” Kirishima waved it off, and without so much as another slap on the back, he went back to work.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
“What the hell are you doing?”
Kirishima looked up from his phone, his fingers mid-type pausing only for a millisecond before continuing to text blindly.
“Oh, hey, Bakubro, what’s up?” he cheerfully spoke, ignorant to the controller in the ash blond’s hand.
“It’s your turn, shitty hair, pay fucking attention!” Bakugou barked, tossing the plastic controller into his chest. Kirishima grunted, the feeling of the plastic slamming against his chest was less than ideal, but the smile on his face didn’t waiver while he offered his best friend the controller back.
“It’s all good, you can have another turn, I can handle being out this round!”
“Kiri, that’s six rounds in a row,” Kaminari spoke up, his face in a teasing smirk.
It was then that Kirishima’s face turned approximately the same color as his hair. “I didn’t—”
“Awww, Eijirou has a little crush on y/n!!!” Kaminari sang, resulting in agreeing with noises from Sero and Midoriya. Only Bakugou and Todoroki remained silent.
Kirishima only laughed, he knew he couldn’t deny that fact, but he wouldn’t say it aloud — especially because Bakugou seemed to hate you. It had been now four months since the two of you had ‘meet,’ and while he still had no face to imagine you with, things had taken a slightly flirty route between the two of you.
Calls were much more frequent, nearly all nights the two of you would speak, even if it was just a measly summary of the day and a ‘sweet dreams’ and a ‘goodnight’ and an ‘I love you.’ It always happened nowadays.
Tonight was an exception, of course, because he was out with his friends, and apparently, you were doing the same.
“You can’t be fucking serious?” Bakugou spat, a laugh spluttering from his lips, but it was cold and held no humor. “You caught feelings for a person who’s too much of a fucking coward to reveal a picture of themselves?”
“That’s not fair; besides, it's not about physical appearance!” Kirishima waved him off, pressing send to his text message.
have fun tonight! text me when u get back home if ur able to!
“Just how naive can you be?” Bakugou sneered, his hand taking the phone from Kirishima's side. “Six months of talking every week, texting every day, and this y/n still hasn’t trusted you with a single picture of them? I know you said that she told you how she looked, and all that shit, but let's be real, it’s so easy to lie about how you look like when you don’t have to provide a picture. What y/n say? Big tits? Big ass? Small waist? What about her did she say that made you so fucking insane over her?”
“N-Nothing! We didn’t talk about our body types!” Kirishima’s eyes widened significantly, the once comfortable atmosphere of the room wholly gone while Bakugou’s vermillion eyes seethed silently. “None of that matters! I told you the truth! I like y/n because of her personality, she’s manly, and I like that a lot! It’s not about her appearance, how pessimistic can you get, bro! I promise you, she’s trustworthy!”
“Is she really?”
“What?”
“How can you be in love with someone who you trust entirely, but doesn’t trust you at all? You said that y/n won’t show you a picture of herself because she’s scared you won’t like her? How is that trusting you? How is that fucking fair? To me, that sounds like some fucked up catfishing thing.”
“We talk on the phone, dude,” Kirishima said softly, but those thoughts were invading his mind. Did you not trust him? He knew he wasn’t the best option in the world, and he had accepted that in time and by improving on what he thought he was best at. But did you, after all this time, really not believe him when he claimed nothing would change when he saw you? “Catfishes don’t even do that… besides, the first call was by accident, why would someone—”
“Dunce face, what’s that one fucking idiotic thing you do for fun?” Bakugou snapped at the blond, not even bothering to look at him.
“Well, there’s a lot of things I do that you—” Kaminari laughed awkwardly, his smile tight and awkward.
“Kaminari.”
“I call… random numbers… pretending to have a big issue to see how they react…” he admitted, and Kirishima’s stomach clenched.
“And?” Bakugou snarled.
“I pretend to be a girl…”
“Don’t be stupid, Bakugou, this is more than one time!” Kirishima groaned.
“It's a voice that you can’t attach a face to, who knows if this is a person you can trust! People with voice acting exist in this world, how the hell do you possibly know that they’re not one of them?! Be fucking real, if ‘y/n’ trusted you, if that’s even their name, they wouldn’t be hiding their face from you.”
Kirishima didn’t say anything else, the acid piling in his throat was too much for him to even look at his friend. The night didn’t really recover from that conversation, and Kirishima eventually found himself back home.
He sat at the edge of his bed, his phone in his hands, waiting for a message from you. He couldn’t sleep, and even though he had work tomorrow morning, he found himself wide awake, unable to let sleep consume.
It was three in the morning when you sent a text, his eyes still wide awake, and with shaky fingers, he read the message.
i just got home can you believe that i drank three cups of wine and didnt get tipsy??????? thats on being a raging alcoholic ;D
Kirishima wanted to laugh; on god, he would’ve found this beyond delightful to read because he knew you couldn’t handle your liquor, but that bitter stream of acid destroyed the humor in his thoughts.
Were you really telling the truth? Was this all a lie?
He didn’t text back; instead, his finger pressed the call button, and he held his breath.
“Helloooo?” a voice picked up on the second ring, but it wasn’t your voice. It was a voice he didn’t recognize at all.
‘Voice actors,’ Bakugou’s voice reentered his thoughts, and the phone in his hand nearly dropped.
“Sorry, hello?” the voice he knew as you finally came through, and Kirishima let out a shallow breath, one so small, so mediocrely weak it burned his lungs.
“Do you trust me?” he asked softly, maybe too softly because you asked with a strained laugh for him to repeat his words. “Do you trust me, y/n?”
There was a pause on your end, too long a beat for Kirishima to be comfortable with.
“Of course I trust you, Ei, are you okay?”
“Do you actually trust me, or are you lying?”
“Woah there,” you said a small laugh on your tongue, but there was only confusion in it, not your contagious sound. “Did you drink? It’s a work night, you never do that!”
“Answer the question,” Kirishima spoke with finality, his shoulders tense, tears pushing past his eyes while he struggled to maintain composure.
Prove Bakugou wrong, please, prove Bakugou wrong.
“Of course I do,” you spoke with genuine clarity, but still, Kirishima was rattled, his confidence blown. “What’s going on?”
Did he want to confess to his insecurities? Was it worth it? His breathing became frantic, almost as if he was going insane just thinking about where his thoughts were. But Kirishima was never good at hiding things, no he was as open as a book.
“Why won’t you let me see you… we’ve been friends for six months, and the only thing I know about you is your eye color and your hair color. It’s so insanely generic that I can’t… I can’t do this.”
“What are you trying to say?” you ask, your voice small, almost a whisper of all the energy one could have at this time of night.
“I can’t be friends with someone who doesn’t trust me, who’s using me,” he spoke with perfect clarity that hid away his insecurities about this all. “For all, I know nothing about you is real, that this is all just some ploy to hurt me in the end. Six months and you can’t trust me with a single meet up or even a picture? I just… has this been a game for you, y/n? Or is that even your name.”
The call ended and a single message held on his screen, this call has been dropped, but you didn’t seem to want to call him back.
Kirishima didn’t sleep a wink that night, his words coming back to bite him in the throat each and every time he thought he was close enough to sleep. Insecurities riled up in him, consuming him entirely.
⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆⋄⋆⊹⋄⋆
He tried to call back.
For fourteen straight days, Kirishima attempted to call you back.
Every time he called you, he would always hang up before he could take back his words. But each call, after he had prematurely hung up, he would recant his mean words to the unresponsive phone. He did trust you, he was weak, he was unmanly to assume those things. You could take, however long it took to finally trust him again because he would wait for you no matter what. He apologized again and again until the very last one he broke down into silent tears, a single message of ‘I hope one day you’ll forgive me’ hung weakly on his voice and put his phone away.
It was sixteen days since he had spoken those cruel words to you, and in that time, he didn’t regret finally talking about his ill feelings towards wanting to reveal yourself to him. But he did regret the way it came out; instead of it being a deep and personal conversation, it came out as bitter and one-sided. The two of you were disconnected, and he felt empty.
But he couldn’t focus on it, not today, after all, it was Bakugou’s birthday, and everyone was gathering at the local fancy restaurant to celebrate.
Kirishima dressed up presentable, wearing a navy blue button-up, and dark slacks. He walked towards the entrance of the restaurant where Kaminari, Sero, and Midoriya were eagerly leading the group of them into the building. Typically Kirishima would’ve been with them in terms of spirit, but he felt energyless at the moment.
With the moon high in the sky, Kirishima stilled when Bakugou called out his name.
He stared at his best friend, the ash blond’s lip curled into a sneer while he huffed, “Listen, Kirishima, I’m sorry for what I said that night.”
“What? Oh, no, it’s okay, Bakugou!” Kirishima laughed, his hand slapping to the back of his neck. “You weren’t wrong.”
“I never said I was wrong,” Bakugou grunted, his eyes locked on Kirishima’s while he shoved his hands into his pockets. Kirishima stilled, unsure as to where this would be leading. “I just don’t want you to get hurt. I know that Mina hurt you badly, and you’re too big of an idiot to not see when things arise. Maybe y/n is genuine, but if you aren’t fucking honest with her about your own feelings about how she’s so secretive, it’s not going to work.”
Kirishima smiled softly, a weak shrug moving through him, “I know, thanks, man.”
Bakugou nodded, and without a word, he continued on ahead where Midoriya was yelling at them to hurry up and come so they could be seated.
Kirishima sighed, rolling out his shoulders before following afterward.
Kirishima followed after the hostess, smiling at her gratefully when she sat the group into their own private room and left.
“Bakugou’s paying, right?” Kaminari stage whispered to Midoriya while staring at the prices on the menu.
“Eat shit, dunce face, learn how to save up your fucking money the next time you offer to come to this fucking place!” Bakugou roared, hearing the whisper.
“I’ll be covering the bill,” Todoroki informed with a smirk on his face. Kirishima laughed, looking at the prices and indeed agreeing with Kaminari’s statement. Having a wealthy friend was very convenient at times like this.
“Hi, welcome to Eiko, I’ll be your waitress today!” a voice chirped from the entrance of the room, and Kirishima froze, he recognized that voice and face.
It was the person he had mistaken for you all those months ago.
By the smile on your face, it seemed that you recognized them all too.
“And what is your name,” Sero winked, his eyes captivated by you.
“Oh, haha, sorry, my name is y/n,” you smiled, moving the menus you held in your hand to show the silver nametag on your uniform.
“Oh, like Kirishima’s y/n,” Kaminari laughed, pointing a finger at Kirishima, not at all being as quiet as he probably thought himself to be. But it seemed that he wasn’t the only one who thought that because while Kirishima was staring at your face, embarrassingly taking you in, you followed Kaminari’s finger.
Your sight sat on the redhead in the middle whose name was Kirishima, and you straightened up in what felt like panic.
“You’re Kirishima?” you asked quietly, your finger grasping the menus so tightly, your knuckles turned white. “Kirishima Eijirou.”
“The one and only,” Kaminari voiced for him, his arm thrown over Kirishima’s shoulder while he nodded like a scholar. “And why do you ask?”
“Shut the fuck up, dunce face.” Bakugou hissed.
Kirishima continued to stare at you, a million words running through his head, yet not a single one being translated on his tongue. You were beautiful.
What should he say?
What could he say?
Your lips pursed, and you shook your head, a smile of disbelief spreading across your face, “Unbelievable.”
“Y/n—”
“Be quiet,” you snap, your tone angry, but your eyes beyond hurt. “What can I get you guys to drink?”
Dinner wasn’t exactly a pleasant time, you came in and left faster than anyone could blink, and yet none of their drinks went empty, nor did they really have a problem. Much quicker than Kirishima would’ve liked, they were done and were soon piling out of the restaurant after Kirishima decided to leave a very, very generous tip.
“I’m going to stay until I can speak to y/n,” Kirishima said, waving off his friends who were expecting him to follow. But he couldn’t, not when he felt like the world's biggest ass for what he did to you.
“Good luck,” they all wished him well before eventually leaving, knowing better than to stick around.
So there at the outside bench, Kirishima waited.
Two hours he sat there until you emerged from the front door, your hair was no longer put back, you held your apron in your hand, and your purse on your shoulder.
“Y/n!” he called out, his feet no longer cemented into place; he strode after you.
You didn’t seem to pick up the pace, nor did you slow down. You were focused on your car that sat at the edge of the parking lot, and you ignored his calls.
It wasn’t until his hand touched your shoulder, and he appeared before you did Kirishima freeze again. Angry hot tears slid down your face, your face screwed up, your shoulders stiff.
“What do you want, Kirishima?” you spat, but there was only exhaustion in your voice, nothing bitter, nothing at all what Kirishima deserved from you.
“I want to apologize,” Kirishima whispered, his hands struggling to reach out and wipe your tears away. You were crying because of him, he did this to you. “I was a dick, I was… beyond unmanly to you, and I’m so sorry! I just let Bakugou get into my head, and I’ve never been a secure person because, well, I’m just… fuck, I don’t even know, but all I know is that you didn’t deserve this. And I like you so much, but I didn’t — I don’t know what to do?!”
Your eyes stared up at him, they were bright with tears, wounded beyond anything Kirishima could hope to fix.
“That night, you said if I didn’t trust you, but I did trust you! I’ve always trusted you—” your finger jabbed his chest— “but it was you who didn’t trust me! I get that it’s hard to not have a picture of someone you care about after a long length of time, but we were always fine for a while! It was going to happen, but while I trusted you, I didn’t trust myself, okay?! I couldn’t trust myself to see that if you were so much more handsome than me that I couldn’t be confident enough to let myself be friends with you! I constantly fuck up relationships when I have crushes on people because… I don’t know, I just do! But you were someone with no risk and the highest risk, and I wanted to be sure in my own feelings before giving you a picture of me! But… fuck, Kirishima, you didn’t trust me!”
Kirishima’s throat tightened, the tears on your face a guilty reminder that this was because of him. But how could he fix this?
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, his hands grabbing onto your arms just above the elbow, and his head hung by your forehead, not quite touching you, but just enough that his spiked hair teased the atoms between you. You were taller than he expected, but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t deal with, no, not at all. “You’re right, I didn’t trust you, and you didn’t deserve that. I don’t think there’s anything that I can say, or do for that matter, to change your mind, and I’m sorry. I just panicked because who gets into this type of situation, how do I tell my phone friend that I have feelings for her? I was weak, and I am so fucking pathetic, and I just want to make things better. If you’ll let me be your friend again…”
He slowly looked back up at you, and you were frozen in your place, tears falling down your face still.
“I don’t think we can be friends,” you confessed, and Kirishima’s heart broke in two, his hands dropping from your arms in his embarrassment and humiliation.
“Oh, well, I’m sorry still, um… maybe I’ll see you again?” Kirishima smiled despite it all, he kept smiling despite the crack in his chest and his soul.
“You will,” you murmured, and before Kirishima could blink, your fists wrapped in his collar, and you brought him down for an ardent kiss that he was not quick to respond to. It took three seconds for him to wrap his arms around your waist and pull you in, kissing you again and again and again.
It didn’t seem to matter to either one of you that you were both now kissing without a care in the world in the middle of a parking lot, because you both had your emotions exposed to the other, and you didn’t want to be friends. At least not when the man who held your heart confessed that you held his in yours.
The two of you weren’t truly disconnected, it was just a little lost moment in your call.

Sweet Dreams are Made of Screams Ch.3
You awoke with a start, gasping as you found yourself back in your bed, heart racing and sweat beading down your forehead, yet you were clearly where you had last been when you fell asleep.
Rising from your mattress, you looked down at yourself, seeing that you were back to your human self. Or...were you your human self in that...dream?
You couldn’t really remember, suddenly feeling quite tense. “God, what WAS that?” you said aloud, rubbing your temple.
You checked your phone and saw yet more requests for Starscream popping into your messages. You flopped back on the bed with a groan. It seemed that you wouldn’t be getting away from him, whether it be your dreams OR wide awake!
Yet what you had experienced…
Throughout the day, you found yourself unable to focus on anything. Whether it be at school/college/work or in your free time, the Decepticon would not leave your brain. That wasn’t really new, the constant requests for him made his presence in your mind a regular, yet this was different. You didn’t know how to explain it, but Starscream seemed to make his presence known. As in, ridiculous as it sounds, like he’s always over your shoulder, watching you.
A fictional character was somehow transcending reality and subtly manipulating you into doing his bidding. Or was it yours, as, despite the feeling of eyes on the back of your head, you have been wanting to write about him for some time.
Yet unlike before, something had changed. True, that dream you had left you rather flustered (not to mention quite wet that morning), but also...inspired? Was that the word? Well, whatever it was, it eventually managed to get you going on churning out more reader insert entries. You went through your requests, going down the list of bots and scenarios when finally, one snags your attention.
Vampire!Starscream X Reader.
Well, that was quite the challenge, wasn’t it?
Sure, you had experimented with that in the past, yet once again, Starscream seemed to haunt you everywhere you went. Just what was it that...that made him so difficult for you? Why couldn’t you just write something?!
It was then though that your mind went back to the dream and your...intimate encounter with your favorite version of the character. His words regarding your doubts, your insecurities regarding your ability to write for him….how all of it was true. And how, to overcome it, you had to cast aside your inhibitions.
You just had to “do”.
It was an hour later or so that you were still at your computer/laptop, trying to figure out where to go from here. You had the scenario in mind, now to build a plot off of it. So far, all you had was that it was in G1 (or at least some version of it at least. Hey, headcanons and AUs were serious business, you had learned), and that you somehow became Starscream’s vampire bride in the end. It was kinda stupid, but hey, G1 was known for equally crazy shit.
The only problem was where to start.
True, you knew what the end result would be, but how to get there was the question. Better yet, how the hell do robots turn into vampires?! Ugh! You couldn’t do this! You just couldn’t! You were doomed for failure! You slapped your hand against your head, trying to keep yourself from getting too frazzled. But how were you going to do this?
It was then that you heard something. Or rather, thought something.
‘Shockwave this, Shockwave that. All I ever hear about is how great Shockwave is!’
You knew that quote! Starscream’s brigade! It grew to be one of your favorites of G1! But what did that have to do with…wait a minute. Shockwave...Shockwave was left on Cybertron but was also somewhat of a scientist. And there had been references to other planets and aliens in the series (hell, Season 3 had barely anything to do with Earth at that point), and there were such things as Petro Rabbits, so why couldn’t Shockwave have a collection of live specimens to study?
And you, the Reader, we’re going to be his assistant.
From there, more and more came to you, you typing like mad as you clicked and clacked the keyboard, everything just pouring out of you at once! You were doing this, you realized. Holy shit, you were doing this! On and on you wrote, getting the outline and first part done. Then came the second, third, and so on.
And when you finally gained the courage to post them (you had not submitted them quite yet, having held back), you saw that the reception was...good.
It was good.
Sure, the first part only had a few likes so far, but it seemed to be ok. Still, you didn’t get your hopes up too high. But it wasn’t long after that you found yourself aboard the abandoned ship again, only this time, there was no one in the cell. You knew well who should’ve been in there.
“S-Starscream?” You stammered, voice echoing off the walls. It was then that you felt a servo trail it’s way up your spine, causing you to nearly leap out of your skin. Turning, you saw the amused, chortling form of your favorite Starscream, clearly pleased with himself in having given you a fright. “Don’t do that to me!” you held your chest, feeling your heart beating.
“Welcome back.” The Seeker greeted. “It looks like we’re in for another eventful night.”
Your eyes widened. “We are?” You remembered last time well. How bizarre the whole situation was...but also how good it felt. How good he felt.
“Yes, you’ve been aching for another night with me, haven’t you?” He whispered in your ear, sending a chill down your back. “Don’t bother denying it. I can see into your thoughts, remember?” His eyes then began to glow red. “And I also know what you’ve written about me recently.”
“Oh, that.” Your cheeks grew red. “Yeah, well...it was my first time writing for you, and...well, I’ve never done anything with vampires before, so…” it was then that you noticed Starscream’s eyes seeming more...red than you remembered. And...and since when did he have fangs?! “The hell?!”
Starscream only chuckled. “Don’t you remember? This was from what you had written but a short time ago.”
Oh, right. “It’s…kinda stupid though, the story I mean,” you shifted nervously. “I mean, it’s not really meant to be taken seriously.”
“But,” Starscream approached you, holding your chin gently. “You DID finally face your fears, right?” You nodded. “But yet, you’re still unsure.” Sighing, you nodded. “Well,” his optics glimmered. “We’ll have to fix that, won’t we?”
You stiffened, knowing where this was going. The environment around you changed to that of the Nemesis’ brig, you in a cell with Starscream. The same position the Reader was in near the end of the story. You knew well what was about to happen, Starscream slowly backing you up against the wall. And yet not once did you tell him to back off. True, your heart was racing, yet it wasn’t entirely out of fear. No, you feared what would come next.
“Relax, my dear.” Starscream assured you. “I’ll be gentle.” He opened his mouth, revealing pronounced canines on his upper set of dentas.
You released a heavy sigh and let it happen. The Seeker bit down on your neck and into your flesh. There was slight pain, yes, yet you could stop this anytime you wanted. You let it continue. The sting from his fangs entering you lasted only a few seconds though, as there was a rushing warmth that overtook you.
“Ah, found your courage, have you?” Starscream questioned. “Well then,” he lowered his hand to your lower regions, lightly stroking it. “Shall we take things one step further?”
Honestly, you didn’t see why not.
That night, you two had another session, the Decepticon exploring and driving you crazy with his methods, you, in turn, responding in kind. Turns out a tongue savoring his spike was one of the things you did that could make him, fittingly enough, scream. And then, you woke up, a kiss bringing out of the dream once again. More requests, and yet...and yet, this time, you felt somewhat more...confident.
You decided to try out another scenario, taking your time with this one, yet not allowing anxiety to have as much of a hold over you. And, to your surprise, this Starscream x Reader fic got good reception too! True, you still wrote for all the other Autobots and Decepticons, yet the Seeker, whatever incarnation he was, proved to be some of your most popular.
Which, in turn, led to you getting more and more visits from him.
It wasn’t each night, yet sometimes, especially when you were either in the midst of writing one, or were struggling to come up with a scenario, he would appear. Luring you into the darkness to join him, allowing yourself to cast away the chains that once held you back.
And thus, you found yourself here again. The same ship, and same voice calling you. It seemed he wished to repeat how you two had met the first time.
“I know, I know...you belo-o-ng to so-omebody ne-e-w,” you heard his voice echoing all around, you recognized the song. It was an older one, one that your mother liked, remembering it from your grandmother’s vinyl collection. What was it called? Patience and Prudence’s…
“But toni-i-ght, you belong, to me…”
Ah, yes. How...oddly fitting. You followed the Seeker’s surprisingly bearable singing, listening and taking note of which direction it was coming from. What would it be tonight, you wondered. A dive into a new situation for the Reader, aka yourself, or something new? Sometimes Screamer himself came up with ideas, of which you would do, if not just to allow him to let you finish. Though you did get your revenge mostly, there were times where you were just wanting some smooth pillow talk. Starscream frankly made you exhausted. In a good way? Honestly, even now, you weren’t sure.
And yet, here you were, about to indulge him yet again.
“My honey I know, I know,” the source of the voice was close. “With the da-a-wn, that yo-o-u, will be go-o-ne,” you saw the cell, yet Starscream wasn’t confined. You couldn’t confine him now, even if you wanted to. “But tonight…” and, if you had to be honest, “You belong,” you didn’t want to. “To me.”

omg can u write a second part to that secret rowaelin / aelins birthday party one shot, I NEED to know how that continues.. and maybe another one shot from when they realised that they're not actual just fuckbuddys but in love ahhhh I love this AU and u writing is so GOOD
I’m so glad you like it!! I was planning on writing the Halloween scene, so I feel like this will end up being a small AU maybe? Like I’ll write the main parts of their story? Who knows. But I will definitely post the Halloween scene and the scene from when things changed... For now, here’s how explaining to their friends went
This is the part one. You really need to read it to understand what’s going on in this scene.
Birthday revelations
--
Aelin was frozen.
She was staring wide eyed at all of her friends standing in her living room. Their faces were the picture of astonishment and disbelief. She knew she should go up to them and explain everything but this isn’t how she had planned it out, so she merely snuggled closer to Rowan, his arms tightening around her.
They were so fucked.
“What the actual fuck?” Lysandra said, her voice a mix of perplexity and slight betrayal. “You two… But.. How? When?”
“Aelin, you fucking snake.” Manon said, but Aelin could see the humor gleaming on her eyes and that her smile was genuine. She seemed like the only one not completely pissed. Even Elide looked a little betrayed.
“Bro, you’re banging my cousin?” Aedion’s face contorted with disgust when he looked at Aelin’s bare legs and undoubtedly saw the handprints. Vaughan gave him a slap on the back of his head.
“Aedion, please.” Yrene said, her voice calm but her face a mask of shock as everyone else. “Let them recompose themselves. They obviously weren’t expecting us.”
“What are you all doing here?” Rowan finally said, even though it was obvious what they were doing here.
“What are we doing here? What are you doing here, Rowan?” Fenrys replied, crossing his arms. When Rowan opened his mouth again, Fen raised a hand dramatically. “Don’t answer that truthfully. I don’t want details.”
Aelin’s cheeks were on fire, and Rowan’s arms hugged her a little more tightly.
“Can you guys it down so we can explain?” She said, her voice steady despite how fast her heart was beating.
She didn’t want it to be like this, neither did Rowan. They wanted to sit them all down and explain everything on their terms. Rowan wanted to talk privately with Aedion, and Aelin sure as hell didn’t want Lysandra feeling as if she didn’t trust her. And now they had waited too long and everything went to shit.
Each one of their friends found a place to sit. Manon was sitting on Dorian’s lap, Yrene and Chaol by their side on the sofa. Nehemia and Asterin were on the loveseat, Nehemia’s arm tucking Asterin close. Fenrys and Connall each sat on one of the loveseat’s armrest, Vaughan standing behind Connall.
Lorcan, Gavriel, Sartaq, Nesryn, Borte and Ren took up the chairs by the table. Lorcan pulled a stiff Elide to sit on his lap, whispering something in her ear that made her relax a little.
Lysandra and Aedion remained where they were, arms crossed.
Rowan nudged Aelin forward and they approached everyone. He sat down on an armchair, taking Aelin with him. She could have sworn Aedion flinched at that.
Rowan started to make soothing circles on her thigh, and she held one of his hands with both of hers, sweeping her fingers over his knuckles. Despite it all, Rowan seemed calm.  He was lazily leaning on the armchair, completely content to hold his girlfriend on his lap, play with her thigh and tell all of her friends and her cousin how he had been sleeping with her behind their backs.
“So, you guys are banging.” Asterin broke the silence.
Borte snorted. “Obviously. The girl looks like she just got railed, so unless they play some very wild type of boardgames in her room while in the dark, yes, they are banging.”
“Borte, for the love of god.” Nesryn murmured at the same time Sartaq said, “Borte, shut the fuck up.”
Rowan sighed, deeply and suffering. “Yes, we are…”
“Banging.” Nehemia added.
“Can we please stop using the word ‘bang’?” Chaol muttered.
“Pardon.” Nehemia looked at him impatiently. “Fucking, then.”
Chaol rolled his eyes and Aelin couldn’t help but snort.
“How?” Dorian asked, his voice dripping disbelief. After Lys, Dorian was probably the person who heard Aelin complaining about Rowan the most.
Despite herself, Aelin found herself saying, “You want to know how we fuck?”
Rowan, Vaughan, Manon and Asterin were the only ones that laughed.
“I thought you hated each other.” Fen said, his brows furrowing.
“They did. I remember High School junior Aelin running after Rowan with a knife with the full intent of killing him.” Connall looked at his brother. “Unless they’re together since then and that was some type of kink.”
“Please, I don’t want to know Aelin’s kinks.” Ren looked pained.
“Please, I don’t want to know about Rowan’s kinks either.” Lorcan added, but his voice was full of humor. The asshole must have been finding this whole situation hilarious.
“Stop using Aelin, Rowan and kinks in the same sentence for the love of god.” Aedion pleaded.
“Let them explain.” Gavriel, always the voice of reason, interrupted.
“It started on Halloween.” She started only to be then interrupted by Aedion.
“You guys have been together for six months and told no one?” His eyes widened. “Oh my god. It was when I told Lin to stay in the apartment, wasn’t it?”
“Yes, and we haven’t been together for six months.” Aelin could feel Rowan losing his patience as he explained their situation. “We slept together six months ago, but it wasn’t anything important. It was just sex then.”
“But not anymore?” Elide asked, her voice low. Something glinted on her eyes.
“That’s impossible. A relationship between them is unbelievable.” Chaol snorted and Aelin felt Rowan’s hand tightening on her leg.
“No.” Aelin shrugged, losing her patience just like Rowan. She could understand them feeling hurt because neither Aelin nor Rowan had told them anything, but acting like her relationship with Rowan was wrong made her stomach turn. “We fucked around a bit. Months, actually. We couldn’t stand each other when we weren’t fucking in the beginning, it was honestly just sex. We didn’t feel like telling anyone because once it ended, we didn’t want things to get awkward. We didn’t want the jokes, or suggestions that we should just date. It was easy and simple and telling other people would make it too real.”
Surprisingly, Lorcan, Nesryn and Connall nodded. Fenrys relaxed, and even Borte was smiling at them the way Manon had since the beginning.
“Lys and Aedion had just started dating then, and they spent most nights in our apartment, so I would come here to see Ace. In the first few nights I would arrive, we would fuck and I would leave. Slowly I started coming earlier and we would eat something. I would spend the night and we would grab breakfast together. We became friends.” Rowan shrugged.
“So you two are fuck buddies?” Ren asked.
“No, things changed two months ago after an… incident.” Aelin said and Rowan squeezed her thigh. Aelin didn’t have to look back to know he was fighting a smile. “But then we didn’t know how to tell you guys that we had been fucking for four months and told no one. Ro thought it was better for the two of us to just sit down and tell everyone at once.”
“Ace thought it would be better if she talked to the girls and I talked to the guys.” Rowan finished for her. The tension from her body had vanished, and she was completely resting her back against Rowan’s chest.
“We discussed it for a month and decided to go with Ro’s idea. But then spring break came and everyone went off to somewhere else. We decided to tell when everyone was back. We were going to do it this week after my birthday but you guys came here today.”
“So, basically, you guys have been together for six months. One way or another.” Vaughan asked and Aelin and Rowan nodded.
“Hum, good for you.” Manon said, looking at Aelin. Nehemia, Yrene and Asterin nodded, a small smile playing on their lips.
“Is that why you almost kicked me out of here earlier?” Lys asked, genuinely curious. She didn’t look as pissed as she had in the beginning.
“No. I didn’t even know Ro was coming until I opened the door an hour ago.” She sat up, crossing her legs. Rowan shifted slightly to accommodate her on his lap, his hands now on her hips. “I just didn’t want you to ditch a night with your boyfriend to stay home with me.”
Lys nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. Aelin didn’t fool herself in thinking that Lys wasn’t hurt about her silence, but it was good to know her best friend wasn’t majorly pissed.
“So he’s your boyfriend?” Aedion asked her, but his eyes were on Rowan.
Rowan’s voice was hard when he replied for her. “Yes.”
The room was silent until Manon started laughing. And then Yrene, Nehemia and Asterin. Borte and Nesryn cackled, and Lys and Elide shared a knowing smile. The men only grunted.
“Pay up, assholes.” Elide said.
“What?” Rowan and Aelin said in unison.
“Sophomore year of High School Elide said the two of you would end up together at some point. The tension would just build up to a point that the two of you would either cut all ties or would fuck.” Lorcan grunted, taking out his wallet. “The girls agreed with her. The men said you guys would simply start ignoring each other after college. We bet a hundred and fifty each. We would get the money and split so it’s equal to everyone in each team.”
Aelin’s jaw fell. Rowan sat up then, eyes narrowing. “You have a bet of six years on us?”
“Yes.” Elide replied, happily. “And although me and Ms. Galathynius over there will have a chat about your relationship later, I can’t say I’m sad about going home tonight a hundred and eighty seven bucks richer.”
“You have a bet of six years on whether or not we would bang?” Rowan repeated, dumbfounded.
“I thought we agreed to stop using the word bang.” Chaol said.
“Yeah, bro, it’s fuck.” Connall nodded solemnly as he handed his money to Asterin.
“And who says we only have one?” Manon chirped, counting the money Dorian had painfully given to her.
“I hate every single one of you.” Aelin grunted, resting against Rowan’s chest again. She could feel his body shaking with laughter and had to bite her own lip to fight a smile.
“You hate me? I’m a hundred and fifty poorer and my best friend is banging my cousin. This can’t get worse.”
“You’ll have to see them together every day now. And when Aelin spends the night on your apartment or Rowan isn’t home, you’ll know exactly what’s happening.” Fenrys said, his tone helpful.
Aedion merely groaned.
Aelin turned and gave Rowan a quick kiss, getting up to talk to the girls privately. Rowan gave her ass a playful slap, and she heard Aedion groan again. One look at Rowan and he was smiling like a fiend.
Oh he was going to have fun torturing Aedion.
Aelin spent the rest of the night apologizing for her silence and telling her friends what the last six months had been like. She had a feeling Rowan was doing the same with the guys, but probably with a lot less detail if Aedion hadn’t thrown up on the floor yet.
“You’ll have to make up for it.” Elide said, but she didn’t seem pissed. “We understand why you didn’t tell us, but it still hurts a bit.”
“True.” Lys said as the others nodded.
“I know and I’m so sorry. You guys have no idea how many times I wanted to talk to one of you about Rowan or about something I was insecure about, especially when I started falling for him.” The girls smiled softly at that, even Manon. “But it wasn’t my decision alone, and I couldn’t go up to Ro and say ‘hey, would you mind if I told the girls about us fucking because I think I’m falling hard for you and don’t really know how to proceed?’”
Nesryn snorted, and Yrene put an arm around Aelin. “So you really like him, huh.”
Aelin looked over to Rowan. He was smiling at something Fenrys had said and that had left Aedion scowling. “Yeah, I do.” She said softly.
“This is so strange.” Borte murmured to Asterin.
“So…” Nehemia started, and her tone made Aelin snap her eyes back to her friends.
They were all smiling in a scary way.
“Now that we’ve got the forgiveness part out of the way…” Elide continued.
Aelin’s brows furrowed in confusion.
“How’s the sex?” Lysandra finished and despite herself, Aelin felt her cheeks heating. All the girls laughed at that.
“Good.” She answered, then smiled. “Like really fucking amazing. Best lay of my life.”
“We agree with Fenrys and we do not want details but…” Manon said. “You can be more specific.”
All the women nodded eagerly and Aelin laughed.
She quickly looked at Rowan before telling her friends exactly how Rowan had discovered every bit of her body and soul in the last six months.
She told them of the fighting. The befriending. The falling.
She told them how she was still falling, head first into the L-word zone.
She told them how she couldn’t be happier she was falling.

SC: I need you [Jumin Han]
Warnings: None.
Word count: 3,286.
A/N: This is my first time posting a scenario/one-shot, I hope you like it! :)
It’s been two weeks since the last time Jumin was home early. It was a difficult time in C&R, the Chairman had a new girlfriend; this time was a young and beautiful model he met while promoting one of the new products the company was launching. And as expected, the rumors didn’t wait long to come out, but this time they were much worse.
Apparently, a few days ago a paparazzi spotted the model at a maternity clinic getting a pregnancy blood test. The news blew up instantly; the Chairman of C&R International was dating a woman much younger than him, and she was pregnant. Great.
As always, Jumin and Jaehee were the ones dealing with the damage made by the media, and the stock prices falling like crazy, even after the Chairman clarified that his girlfriend was not pregnant.
Since Korea is a very conservative country, rumors like that did no good to the company and they were having a lot of trouble keeping everything in control.
Those two weeks, Jumin kept getting home late and talking coldly to you. He seemed tired all the time and was in a bad mood constantly. Sometimes he even acted a bit harsh towards you, but you always tried to understand him since you knew his job wasn’t easy.
Instead of getting offended from his behavior, you tried to greet him with dinner ready, or tried to help him relax with a bubble bath. But he constantly rejected and ignored you, and that was starting to get in your nerves.
Until one day, he again got home late and you were waiting with dinner, hoping just this one time he would eat and spend some time with you. You already knew his answer, but this time you were going to insist knowing he hadn’t been eating properly and you were worried about him.
Sitting patiently at the dining room, you heard the door open and the heavy steps from your husband walking directly towards your shared bedroom. You quickly got up and ran to him, pulling his hand the moment you saw him so he couldn’t avoid you.
“Oh, no, tonight you won’t be ignoring me!” You happily dragged him to the dining room where his favorite food (prepared by you) was displayed across the table.
“Y/N, I’m not in the mood. I have so many things to do tomorrow, I’ll go to bed now.”
His words weren’t that rude, but the tone of his voice, the coldness in his eyes and the way he pulled his hand from yours, made you reach your limit.
“Jumin! You can’t keep doing this. You’ve been ignoring me all this time; you don’t even say hello to me or something. The only thing you do when you come home is take a shower, sleep and head back to the office.” You said while walking behind him to the bedroom, as he started undressing and changing into his striped pajamas. “If it wasn’t for Jaehee I wouldn’t even know if you eat properly, which you don’t! This needs to stop now!”
“I don’t need you to take care of me, I know how do it, ok? And I ignore you because I’m too tired to bear with you.” His voice denoted no emotion whatsoever saying this, making you feel confused by his words.
“Excuse me…? Bear with me…?” You asked offended.
“Yes, Y/N, bear with you. Sometimes you’re so talkative and energetic it’s annoying. When I come home tired like today, I just want to rest, and you just don’t leave me alone!” He let out those words easily, showing exasperation but continued to organize his clothes for the next day.
“Well, sorry for trying to cheer you up! If I don’t leave you alone is because I’m worried and I want to take care of you!”
“I got news for you, Y/N! I don’t need you to take care of me! In fact, I don’t need you at all. I was doing well without you before getting married and I’d do much better without you right now. So, please, WOULD YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?” He turned around and looked at you in the coldest way possible, with a harsh tone and shooting daggers through his eyes.
You didn’t hesitate a second and replied:
“Yeah, don’t worry, Jumin, I will comply your wish gladly!”
You stepped back and hurriedly came out of the room. He slammed the door behind you, but you payed no attention. You looked for your phone and your bag thinking:
I don’t want to stay here tonight. I must go somewhere.
Then you heard your husband enter the bathroom to take a shower, and as soon as you heard the water running you rushed to the room and packed up some clothes as fast as you could, and took the money you saved a long time ago for an emergency, since you wouldn’t be able to use any of the credit card’s Jumin gave you.
When you were done packing your stuff, you took a piece of paper and a pen and wrote:
I’ll be spending the night at Jaehee’s place. I’ll call you tomorrow.
You left the note over his pillow, exactly where he would see it when he comes out of the bathroom.
Now with some of your clothes and indispensable things packed up, you were about to head out silently, but you almost tripped with a small white furball. You looked down and encountered Elizabeth rubbing her head in your legs.
You leaned forward and whispered:
“Don’t worry, Elly, I won’t be gone forever. I’ll come back later.”
You weren’t sure if you would comeback to make up with Jumin or to break things up, but you’d definitely have to come back at some point.
You were caught in your thoughts when the sound of the water streaming stopped. You froze in your place waiting for Jumin to come out of the bathroom, but that never happened, instead the water started running again, making you sigh in relief.
That was your signal to hurry up and go out without him noticing while you could.
The bodyguards were gone at this hour, so sneaking out without anyone noticing was pretty easy. You walked outside the house, the one Jumin bought after the wedding so you two could live like a married couple properly and one day have a family.
You had your phone in hand ready to call Jaehee, but after thinking about it thoroughly you decided to stay somewhere else and not involve her. Since your husband was her boss, she could get in trouble and that was something you wanted to avoid.
Instead, you searched for a good hotel far away enough from the house, so you could have your time alone with no problem. You found one, though it was a bit expensive but anything was better than being kidnapped at a cheap and unknown place.
You took a 30 minutes ride in a cab to get there and texted the location to Seven in case anything happened. You didn’t want to worry the rest of the RFA with your marital problems.
He texted back:
707: ‘Lololol. R U havin an adventure with Jumin? O.O’
You: ‘We had a fight and I’m staying outside for tnght. I sent u the location just in case, but plz don’t tell him where I am. I rlly want to be alone.’
707: ‘O.K! But promise me you’ll call right away if smthn happens >:(‘
You: ‘Yes! Promise!’
You smiled at your phone, and then walked in to register in the hotel for an indefinite amount of time.
The next day Jumin woke up alone in his luxurious bed.
For a moment he forgot you didn’t spend the night there, but thinking you were at safe hands with Assistant Kang he got ready and headed to his office as early as always, except this time you weren’t there to say goodbye, even if he ignored you.
When he arrived at C&R, Assistant Kang was waiting outside his office to hand him some papers that needed to be reviewed by him before sending them to the clients.
“Assistant Kang.” He called. “Thank you for accepting my wife in the middle of the night. I’ll make sure to compensate you for taking care of her.”
She just stared at him confusedly, not sure what to respond. Jumin noticed her stare and raised his brows in interrogation.
“Sir… I have no idea what you’re talking about. I haven’t seen your wife since we went out last weekend…” Jaehee said carefully, inspecting her boss reaction while finishing the sentence.
Jumin stood petrified, realizing the situation. Quickly, he took out the phone from his pocket and called you. Your phone was ringing but you weren’t answering.
“Mr. Han could you please explain what happened?” She asked calmly.
“We argued last night, and Y/N told me she’d spend the night with you.”
Jaehee thought for a moment, and said:
“Let me try calling her instead.”
She copied her boss and took out her phone, dialing your number. After three rings, you picked up.
“Hi, Jaehee!” You greeted.
“Y/N, are you alright? Where are you?”
“Oh, sorry I didn’t tell you anything, I didn’t want to get you in trouble. I suppose Jumin explained everything, but you don’t have to worry, I’m staying at a safe place and Seven already knows the address in case something happens. I can’t tell you where I am, though, I want to be alone for some time.”
“But, Y/N, you shouldn’t go out like…!”
“I have to go unpack my things, Jaehee! I’ll call you later! Bye!” You interrupted her and hung up.
She was a bit shocked but then looked back to Jumin beside her. He was frowning and seemed to be angry. He heard everything; it wasn’t necessary for Jaehee to explain.
He was mad at you for taking such a risk going out alone in the middle of the night; he was mad at Luciel for not telling him the instant he received a call from you, but most importantly he was mad at himself.
He was the cause of you going out like that, he knew he hurt you with his words and regretted it after calming down in the shower. But he thought you were going to forgive him after that, since you were always so patient. Jumin thought you knew he didn’t mean those harsh things.
But how would you know? When he said it with a cold and serious face.
How would she know I love her with all my heart, if I treated her like that and never apologized?
“Mr. Han?” Jaehee called his name, interrupting his inner lamentation.
He ignored her and once again unlocked his phone, this time calling Seven to ask him your location.
“Nuh uh, she wants to be alone, Jumiiiin. Let her be!” Answered Seven instantly, already expecting Jumin’s request.
“Luciel, this is an order. She is MY wife.”
“Well, if she was mad enough to run away like that from you, you probably did something bad.” Touché, Jumin thought. “You should use this time apart from her to thing about your actions. Remember God’s always watching, and he doesn’t like spoiled kids!”
“And before you start nagging me! I’m watching over her through that place’s CCTV, she’s very safe there! Now I must go finish work. Bye bye, Jumin!”
The call ended and Jumin was still holding his phone against his ear, processing everything that was going on.
“Mr. Han, I know this is something important, but you have a meeting with the board of directors. Do you want me to reschedule it?” Assistant Kang caught his boss’ attention again.
After a few seconds of thinking, he decided to continue his day as if nothing happened. He was sure at some point you would have to come back and talk to him.
And after all, what he said last night was true, he would be alright without you… Right?
A couple days went by and he still had not heard from you.
You logged in the chatroom only when you knew he was not there, to talk with the other members as you usually did. Seven assured the others you were at a safe place so no one was really worried anymore, except for the fact that you were obviously avoiding your husband, but that was more of a private matter between the two of you, so they didn’t say anything.
At first Jumin thought you’d be staying outside for a day or two until you both calmed down, but he was wrong. A week has passed, and he was still alone in his enormous house.
He convinced himself the first couple days that he would be fine without you, since the last two weeks you didn’t talk much anyway. But, once again, he was totally wrong.
He was missing you like crazy, the time alone helped him realize that even if he ignored you the past days, he still was comforted by knowing his lovely wife was waiting at home.
He missed your voice saying those sweet Good mornings after waking up; he missed seeing your face when coming home, with a bright smile always cheering for him even if he acted coldly; and he missed your presence by his side on the bed at night.
Jumin was getting more and more worried as days passed by. He constantly asked Assistant Kang how you were doing, since you wouldn’t pick up his calls, but that was not enough for him. He wanted to see you with his own eyes and embrace you to make sure you were truly fine.
On the other side, you were using your time alone to relax, sleep, go shopping and do all the things you were missing the last two weeks because you were sick worried about your husband. You obviously missed him as much as he missed you, but you wanted to feel good and make sure what you were going to do before meeting him again.
You were planning to stay two more days at the hotel before coming back home, so you decided to stay at your room for the night and watch some movies and eat junk food since Jumin always made sure you never ate those unhealthy things at home.
While you relaxed at the hotel, Jumin, on the other side, was a nerve wreck. He wanted to see your face desperately, even if it was just a few minutes. But he wasn’t sure if you were still mad at him. And you had all the right to be, he felt so bad every time he remembered what he said.
Oh, how wrong was he, thinking he didn’t need anyone in his life to be okay. He recalled all his depressing days, before your appearance on the messenger.
When you accepted all his inner demons and flaws, he wanted you to stay beside him for the rest of your lives. But apparently, he took you for granted and forgot all the “threads” tangled in his heart.
And now here he was, sitting alone at your side of the bed on the verge of tears, imagining you coming out of the shower with the biggest smile ever and kissing him, as if the night he told you those horrible things never occurred.
He wanted you back, and he knew he had to do something for that to happen.
So he called Luciel to ask for your location, saying he needed to talk with you personally. At first Luciel refused, saying he had promised not to tell anyone, but after a long time of Jumin insisting over and over, he finally accepted:
“Ahhh, ok, ok! I’ll tell you! Only because you’re getting on my nerves, and I need to work right now if I don’t want my boss to kill me!”
Luciel hung up, and in that instant Jumin received a text with the exact location in real time of your phone, he quickly got up and went out. Calling Driver Kim would take too long, so instead, for the first time in his life, Jumin Han… Took a taxi.
He wasn’t sure how the whole thing worked but didn’t want to wait until Driver Kim arrived at his house, since it was almost midnight. Jumin just showed his phone to the driver and told him to get there as fast as possible.
Thankfully Luciel also sent him the number of your room, so after arriving Jumin slipped through the halls and entered the elevator to get to your room.
At that moment, you were watching some depressing movie about a dog waiting every day at the train station for its late owner. So you were holding back your tears, imagining how would you feel if something happened to Jumin and you never got to see him again.
It was a very emotional moment in the movie when you heard some knocks at your door.
Confused, you took a napkin and cleaned the tears still falling from your eyes. You got up and opened the door thinking it was maybe the cleaning lady or some other employee.
You were even more confused when you found the pale face of your husband in front of you, with bags under his eyes revealing his sleepless nights and a sad look on his face.
“J-Jumin… What…?” You started asking, being interrupted by him.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry. I—” He stopped talking for a second, then took a deep breath and continued. “I was wrong. Almost all my life has been an emotionless mess until I met you, the only one who showed me what real love is, and the only one who I cared enough to keep in my life.
I wasn’t okay without you before, and I’m not okay without you now. I miss you, Y/N… I need you…”
Jumin doubted for a moment, before taking a step forward and embracing you with all his might. With his face buried in your neck, you heard low sobs.
“Please forgive me…”
You were petrified into his arms, little drops of tears falling down your face, not knowing if they were because of the move or the sadness you had buried in your heart while being apart from the love of your life.
You slowly hugged him back, letting all the hidden emotions finally come out.
“I missed you too, honey” You said crying, squeezing him with your arms.
Jumin raised up his head lightly and said:
“I promise nothing like that will ever happen again.”
He looked at you with eyes full of love, and then leaned to press his lips softly against yours, waiting for some kind of response from you, to know if you would accept him or not, which you did.
You kissed deeply showing all the emotions you both held back during the past couple days; passion, love, sadness, and the will to never be apart ever again.
Jumin was still holding you tightly, fearing you would step back at any second to yell at him. He was afraid of not deserving your love, your forgiveness, but he was desperate to hold you into his arms without caring for anything else at least for a few minutes.
You were the best thing that ever happened to him; you were his sun, the brightness in his life. You were more precious to him than anyone or anything else and he didn’t want to lose you.
In that moment, while kissing you lovingly, Jumin promised himself to not forget this feeling ever again.

Worth the Risk | Bodhi Rook x Reader (1/2)
Words: 1970
A/N: Ey, guess who's back with the rare posting again. This was in my draft for a while, along with many others, but I finally got something done.
Summary: Childhood friends separated at a young age, never having a chance to say goodbye. They had gone on different paths of life, but the Force had brought them together years later, only to miss the opportunity to either say goodbye or stay. The Force works in mysterious ways, and if was meant to be, then they may meet again for the third and possibly final time.
Continuation to [Run Away With Me]
-
Bodhi’s friends watched as he flitted around the U-Wing, busying himself with tasks that were unnecessary and repetitive. Chirrut seemed to have already known why he was acting odd, but he would simply say to give it time. Jyn made sure to include him with meet ups with the other Rebels and there were times where he accepted the offer, though he’d end up keeping to himself. Over time, he had been opening himself to others and talking more again. Still, there was something that he had not been telling anyone. It was no secret to the Rogue One crew that he’d always pause and stare up at the stars longingly.
He had been cleaning up his cargo ship for the second time that day when he heard a knock at the ramp. He turned and saw Cassian leaning against the ship with his arms crossed. The captain’s eyes roamed around the ship before landing on the pilot.
“We’ve got a mission,” he said.
Bodhi nodded. “When do we start?”
“In forty-eight hours. The details will be sent to your datapad tonight. Make the necessary preparations before meeting here.”
“Alright.” When Cassian didn’t move to leave, Bodhi walked up to him and cleared his throat. “Is there anything else?”
“We need you to focus on this, Bodhi,” he said, “No more staring at the stars until the mission is done.”
“I know that-”
“We almost got caught because of your distractions!” Cassian snapped.
Bodhi sighed, taking off his goggles and tossing them on the side. He slumped down on a bench and Cassian moved forward to join him.
“I thought I lost them. (Y/n). We had lost contact for years and now that I know that they’re actually out there…”
Cassian patted his back. “The Rebellion keeps tabs on their allies. We know how to contact them when we need them and they are free to come back any time.”
“Why did they leave?” Bodhi asked quietly. “They could have stayed. You know, I ran into their parents once when I was still an Imperial cargo pilot. I had stopped at a planet for fuel when I saw them at the local market. They were like family to me and helped me when I had to take care of my mother. When I saw that (Y/n) wasn’t with them, I asked. They said that they hadn’t heard from them for a while, but there were always credits flowing in to keep them going and even buy a house. It was the only way they knew that (Y/n) was alive. Still, I never thought I would ever see them again.”
He raised his head as Cassian stood up. “You’ll see them again,” he said firmly with a faint smile before heading out.
For others, Cassian didn’t seem to be the type of person for warm words of encouragement or sentiment, but for those who knew him well knew the truth. When it mattered, he was always there for his team. So if Cassian Andor said that Bodhi would see (Y/n) again, he believed it.
-
It had been almost two weeks since Cassian and Jyn began working undercover to trace back black market exchanges with Imperial associates. Bodhi had also been doing his part as a stranded tradesman who had a nasty encounter and was forced to be grounded until he could fix his ship. He lingered near the docks and watched who came and went and what they were carrying.
Bodhi had come back from the local farmer’s market when he saw a familiar ship landing two spaces away from his cargo ship. A tall rusty red droid walked off the ramp first, followed by a hooded figure. A man waited at the end of the ramp and immediately greeted them. He took out a datapad and began walking with them towards the nearest tavern as the ramp raised. Bodhi quickly dropped off his things and followed them at a distance.
Night had fallen by the time their meeting was over. The man left first, subtly looking over his shoulder before heading out. You and Desa lingered, finishing up your drink as you discussed the offer.
“Is he still watching?” you muttered at Desa into your cup.
“Yes.”
“What do you think we should do? This is important information. Giving it will help the Rebellion, but it will paint a big target on our heads and we’ll stray further from being neutral.”
“I’ll follow whatever decision you choose, (Y/n).”
You sighed, setting down your cup. “Of course you’d say that. Let’s head back.”
You left the ramp down as you Desa took stock on your current inventory. While you were noting down your rations, Desa made her way over to the ramp where Bodhi stood with wide eyes. She gestured for him to come in and waited to close the ramp behind him.
“(Y/n),” Bodhi said softly. “I…” He trailed off when you didn’t budge. Desa made her way over to you and took over your task, giving you no excuse to avoid him.
“Here on rebel business?” you asked, finally turning to face him.
He nodded. “What about you?”
“Needed to stop by for some supplies and then meet with a potential client.” You paused to take in his face. “How’ve you been?”
“Pretty well. Honestly, hoping to run into you again.”
“Why?”
“You’re my best friend… were. And also, for an explanation on why you always left without saying goodbye.”
“The first time wasn’t my fault,” you pointed out. “The last time was all me.”
“Is it foolish to hope that that was also the last time that you’ll do that?”
He stepped closer, heating radiating off his body and warming you. When was the last time you allowed someone this close to you? All you were used to now was the cold steel of your ship and Desa’s metal hand when she’d steady or reassure you. Seeing him this close in such a long time, you could see he was older. The stubble and moustache, the faint lines forming near his eyes and his mouth. From laughing, you hoped. But his eyes were still the bright eyes that you’ve known him to have. But he was no longer the Bodhi you used to know, you reminded yourself.
“And for what reason would I completely side with the Rebellion?” you asked, side-stepping him towards the chairs behind the cockpit. You sat down with a sigh, leaning back and propping your feet on the chair across.
“It’s not like you’re with the Empire,” he countered. “Especially not after what they did to our home. To your parents.”
Your head snapped up. “What do you even know about my parents.”
“I met them while I was still under the Empire. They told me everything.”
“Then you know why I’m doing this. This whole line of business to get us by.”
“Smuggling refugees was never a part of it, though, was it?” You remained silent, staring at the metal wall with your arms crossed.
“When Galen Erso sent me on a mission to deliver a message to Saw Guerrera, I felt like I could finally take a hold of my fate. I was no longer just a pawn being played in this war. The people of the Rebellion… they chose to rebel, to fight back against the Empire. Just ordinary people that saw the injustice happening in the galaxy and decided to do something about it. If that’s not what you are doing, then what is it?”
You couldn’t keep a neutral expression up, not around Bodhi. Not after giving his little speech with passion in his eyes, the same way that he used to have when he talked about flying to reach the stars. That was all so long ago.
You dropped your feet and curled them under your chair. Bodhi took it as a silent invitation to take a seat. “Is there a place for me… in the Rebellion? It all seems… I don’t know. This is war, and having attachments would only hurt you in the end.”
Bodhi sighed, scooting at the edge of his chair to gently lift your head up, his fingertips burning your skin. “Love and hope is what’s keeping the spark from burning out against the darkness that the Empire is spreading. We’re so close to ending this. I can feel it.”
After leaving the Rogue One crew, you wondered what would have happened if you had stayed. It felt that there were loose ends to tie before you could make a decision like that. Besides, at the time, you felt like you could do more by being out there on your own terms instead of following orders. You could always feed them information if it was important enough without completely joining them.
“Why are you so against joining us?” Bodhi finally asked.
There was a muffled sound coming from Bodhi’s hip that drew your attention away. You pulled away from him and nodded over to his communicator. He pulled his lips into a thin line before answering it, moving over to another corner of your ship. You heard Desa, who had been giving the two of you space, come over and lay a cold metal hand on your shoulder.
“Your heart has already made a decision, but your mind is trying to fight it,” she said.
You placed your hand over hers and sighed. “We’ll give them the information, then we leave,” you said quietly.
“(Y/n)-”
“My family has had a target on their backs for a long time and I’m not going to have them a target again. They’ve finally settled someplace. I don’t want them to pick up all of their things and go on a run again because of me. They just can’t keep doing that anymore.” You rubbed your temples in frustration at the thought of what you were about to do. Again.
Bodhi finished up his status report with Cassian before turning to the ramp. The mission was being wrapped up and he needed to start up the ship as soon as possible. But first, he needed to know where you stand.
“(Y/n), I have to go,” he said slowly, adjusting the goggles on his head.
“Oh,” you said, your throat tightening as you walked over. You grabbed your datapad and scrolled through until you found your recent client. “Before you go,” you paused to clear your throat and push down the anxiety threatening to spill out, “There’s a man that came to me to retrieve specific weaponry similar to the models on Imperial vehicles. Not sure if it relates to what you guys are looking for, but I thought it’d be worth investigating.”
He grabbed the datapad and scanned through the information. “Send this to me and I’ll bring it up with the crew,” he said, handing it back. When you reached forward to grab it, he laid his other hand on yours. “So, this is it? At least I could say goodbye, right?”
He looked at you with those round eyes that were always filled with passion and longing to fly and reach the stars. Yet now, they seemed to be longing to reach something else. Your heart was torn. As soon as he walks out of your ship, what if this would really be the last time you ever see him again? Was it a risk to let him into your life again and let him get this far? Would it be selfish of you to join him? All this time, everything you did was for your family.
“Be safe out there, Bodhi,” you said softly, slowly pulling your hand away, the warmth leaving with him.
His brows furrowed, then he shook his head. “You, too, (Y/n).”

can I request an idol au with jaehyun and the reader is also an idol and they get time to spend together but there’s angst and then ends with soft smut/fluff?? Haha if it’s too specific, feel free to write whatever way you think is best! Hope you’re doing better hun ❤️
“And one, two, three— one— okay stop!”
All the movements halted as your leader raised her hand. The music stopped, heavy breathings filled the whole practice room.
“Y/N, you aren’t in sync with us.” She sounds exasperated now. You bowed and told her you were sorry for the incompetence. It’s been hours yet you still could not get your mind to focus on the practice.
“Let’s take a break first, shall we?”
The members scattered to different corners of the room; some drank water, some checked their phone. The only person that was left in the middle was you. You stared at your reflection on the mirror in front, then you sighed.
A frustrated sigh escaped your lips yet again when you saw that there wasn’t any message sent to you by Jaehyun. You have been waiting for hours on end for his call, but to no avail. Gripping the phone tighter with your hand, you slumped on the shiny floors of the practice room.
“Y/N,” Your leader greeted before sitting beside you. She regarded you with careful eyes, biting her lips as if afraid to say what’s on her mind. “This is about Jaehyun, right?” she whispered, cautious by the staffs around you.
You nodded and ran a hand through your hair while biting your lower lip, “Yup.”
She sighed before putting her hand on your shoulder, “It’s their Inkigayo stage, right?” By that, you gave her a curt nod. “You know how promotion weeks are, I bet he’s busy.” Her words were quieter than a whisper, but you heard her absolutely fine.
“Their stage ended an hour ago,” you muttered. This is the first time Jaehyun hadn’t sent you any text after their stage. When you first started dating him, it was a simple promise that you both would understand each other’s schedules— given that the korean pop industry could be so hectic, especially when it’s comeback season. But you could not help but anticipate his texts despite promoting, because he never misses calling or messaging you after each stage. Not until now.
“But he’s one of the MC, right?” she added.
“Inkigayo has already ended,” you added. If they’re doing any v-live right now, you would know.
“I’m sure he’s going to contact you soon. Have a little patience, Y/N. Our own comeback is fast approaching, you wouldn’t want to disappoint our fans, right?” You know she only meant to remind you of the upcoming work, but you could not help but feel embarrassed by your unprofessional emotions.
So you turned off your phone and kept it in the deepest part of your bag. The members were slowly grouping themselves in the middle, ready to dance again. Your leader held her hand out to you, then you took it with a half smile. There’s time for Jaehyun, but right now, you have to focus.
The practice ended five hours later, the choreographer was extra harsh today, given that your comeback is in one week and there’s a tiny bit of polishing you still needs to do. He adviced all of you to practice in your dorms, which elicited a silent groan from you. Ever since the preparations for the comeback started, you could only sleep for three hours maximum; going home at twelve, practicing until three a.m. in your dorm, and waking up at seven a.m. to pratice again. Yet you could not even doze off in the van, nor eat whatever you like, for the fear that you might oversleep and overeat, which could mean two dreadful things; the wrath of your manager, and the wrath of your manager. Again.
Thankfully for today, your chereographer dismissed you earlier. So that you could get enough rest, he said.
Korean pop industry criticizes every hairsbreadth of a move you make, and they don’t miss whenever you gain weight. Hell’s about to go down to your group once that happens. And you could not let that happen. So even if you feel like you might collapse any time soon, you still dance to the music that has been on repeat on the loud speakers of the practice room for weeks.
It’s not like you are tired of it— this has been your life since you were in eight grade, you’ve worked hard to get where you are today. And you badly wanted to be a musician ever since you could count, you’re not going to let it go. No matter how tiring it must be.
You slumped on your seat near the window of the van which would take you to your dorm. The air conditioning cooling your pores, relaxing your body a little bit. It’s been hours, surely, Jaehyun would’ve send you a text already. So you fished for your phone, cursing yourself for having a hard time finding it in your bag. With your heart jumping inside your chest, you press the power button. The logo displayed on the screen. You have no idea why but the van seemed to suffocate you as you wait for the home screen to show up.
Nothing.
You blew out a breath, the conversations being exchanged inside the vehicle seems to be far away from you. Voices are muffled as you stare into your notification panel, empty. What are you doing, Jung Jaehyun?
With a thud, you rested your forehead on the window, the blur of the highway flashing in your eyes. Then you decided to text Jaehyun. You could not wait any longer. But as you clicked the logo of the messaging app, your phone displayed a lone notification. It’s from Naver.
NCT’s JAEHYUN AND April’s NAEUN SPOTTED IN A COFFEE SHOP TOGETHER
You clicked on the article as fast as your body would allow you. Your forefinger made a silent thump on the screen by how agitated you are. Naeun is Jaehyun’s co-mc together with Minhyuk. Apparently, the article would just berate you and your already boiling blood, but you clicked the notification still.
Pictures accompanied the articles. They were shot in an awkward angle, but you could totally see Jaehyun— smiling— while he sat across from Naeun. It was posted a few minutes just after your practice. A proof that he did not bother to text or call you to inform you of his whereabouts.
“Are you okay?” Your leader asked, placing her hand on your shoulder again.
You feel like combusting in your seat, but you took a deep breath and flashed her your sweetest smile. “Of course.” Then you shifted so your body could shield your phone away from the members.
[Where are you?] You sent with shaking fingers.
Maybe you’re just overreacting. Yes, you probably are. But it’s just a normal feeling, right? Specially when your boyfriend did not even send you any message since the start of the day. One message is all you’re asking. One message. But still, no reply.
You wanted to throw your phone away, if not for the fact that you just bought it and it pairs with Jaehyun’s. So you gave him one last chance. Last chance to reply before you wreck havoc in his life. Last chance until you reached the dorm.
The members has gone straight to their room to get a little bit of rest before a tiring day, yet again, in a few hours. You shut your door silently, which took up a lot of patience to do, by the way. The bed seems so inviting, you literally jump onto it and lay your phone beside you. As you close your eyes, the vibration of your phone tingled on your finger.
[i’m finally at the dorm, love. how about you?]
[Where have u been?]
[inkigayo, love. why?]
Petty as it might sound, you sent him the link of the article you’ve read awhile ago. The messaged displayed ‘read’, but it took him minutes to reply.
[sorry, baby. i’d read the whole thing. what about it?]
With that, you stood up. Really stood up. And began pacing the small space of your room with bulging veins in your temple.
[Wow. You are unbelievable Jung Jaehyun. Really. The headline did not even bother you? Where have you been the whole day? I’ve been waiting for your texts for hours! My God!]
Sweat formed in your forehead, your thumb aching by how aggressive you typed in the words.
[yes it did not bother me. because i wasn’t doing anything wrong.]
[I have no words. Go and date Naeun instead.]
You sent a silent sorry for Naeun in your mind. She does not deserve this, she probably does not even know that you and Jaehyun are dating. This is all Jaehyun’s fault.
[i’m not having any of your tantrums and dramas tonight, y/n. gn.]
What? And with that, you’ve finally reached your end. You threw away the phone. It bounced on your mattress. The sides of your eyes started to sear, Jaehyun never spoke to you that way. And he does not say good night without you seeing each other’s faces. If the time would allow it, you would even sneak out every other night to meet. But it’s impossible now that he’s in the middle of promotion.
You snatched a pair of pajamas in your drawer and decided to shower instead. There is no point curling in your bed and waiting for Jaehyun to say sorry. After a cold shower, you walked straight to your room, declining the offer of your leader for you to eat.
A single message from Jaehyun was on your screen when you opened your phone. It was a media message. You clicked on it. And shame washed over you as you took in the image. It was Jaehyun, Naeun, and… Minhyuk. In the same coffee shop displayed on the article. Before you could type in a reply, Jaehyun sent you a message.
[we’re with minhyuk earlier. i guessed the sasaeng forgot to include him.]
The text was devoid of any emotions, but you could still hear Jaehyun’s impassive voice in your head. Without another thought, you replied to his message.
[I’m sorry, baby. I wasn’t thinking rationally earlier. It’s just that—]
Before you could finish the message, Jaehyun’s caller ID flashed on your screen. You slid the green button.
“Baby?” was his greeting.
“I told you not to call me that through phone calls.” You bit your lips. In one of Haechan’s video, Jaehyun accidentally called him ‘baby’. According to him, he thought you were calling by that time since it’s two a.m. already. Thankfully, Haechan called him back with the same endearment, so there wasn’t any rumor that has bubbled from it. After that incident, you told him not to call you baby as a greeting. A single ‘hello’ would do.
But here he is, insisting.
“Can’t help it, my love. I’m outside, by the way.”
You literally fell from your bed. Jaehyun. Outside. Did you shower too long that you lost track of time? You grabbed your curtains, eyes peeking through the window. Even if Jaehyun covered his face with a full-on mask, you would identify him. He was standing near one of the light posts, head turned towards your window. As usual, he’s clad in his all-black clothes. His hear obscured by a cap, with only his eyes peeking through his mask.
“Are you insane? What if someone followed you?!” You hissed.
“Then be ready for some dating articles tomorrow,” he simply declared. The mere thought of your relationship spreading through the whole of South Korea and the world gives you enough creeps to last a lifetime. Jaehyun’s career is on its peak, so do yours. It’s not yet time.
“Jaehyun, go home. Let’s not wait for your sasaengs to find out and sell the photos to Dispatch,” you sighed.
“I’m sorry if I sounded selfish with that, baby. I just…” He paused, “When it comes to you, I’ve got nothing to lose.”
Your breath hitched. There were tears trying to fall down your cheeks when he said the words. Jaehyun was a man of few words. But every time he speaks, he always knew the right thing to say.
“Wait for me,” you breathed and cut off the line. The whole dorm was silent when you departed your room, one light coming from the television in the living room. Wona must be watching her favorite movies again.
You tiptoed to the backdoor, and silenty departed the vicinity of your dorm. Jaehyun remained on his position near the light posts, his foot kicking pebbles on the ground. Your stomach somersaulted by the sight of him. After weeks of not seeing each other because of your schedules, he is here now. You could nearly jumped from happiness. However, despite your elevated feelings, you remained calmed and texted him.
[On your right.]
His phone lit, then he looked at it. Then around him. His sight halted when he saw you. You signaled him with your hand, heart thudding that someone might find you. That would be the end of both of your careers. As Jaehyun jogged the distance between you, you frantically looked around to check if anyone’s spying around. Luckily, there isn’t one.
Jaehyun stood in front of you, his scent wafting your nose with an ache of familiarity. You almost jumped to hug him. But you were stopped when he pulled down his mask and attempted to kiss you.
“Jaehyun!” You warned, eyes widening. The dimpled-boy only chuckled at you. “Let’s get inside before somebody sees us!”
Before opening the back door, you sent a silent prayer that all of your members are comfortably sleeping on their matresses already. Not that they don’t know about you and Jaehyun, but they’d surely kill you if ever they see you sneaking him inside your dorm.
The dorm was the same when you entered, with Wona still watching television. You pressed your finger on your lips as you turned to face Jaehyun, your one hand holding his wrist. He nodded at you before he roamed his eyes around the kitchen.
You tugged his wrist up to your bedroom. And only when you locked the door did you let out the breath you’ve been holding for minutes. Jaehyun sat on your bed, examining your room with curiosity.
“This is my first time seeing your room,” he said, mischief displayed in his irises. You pretended to clean your things to keep your mind off the thought that you’re alone with Jaehyun, in your room.
“Where did you buy this turntable?” He stood up, walked towards your turntable and ran his finger on it.
“In a shop. Where else?”
“Tell me which shop so I could buy the same design as yours.”
You ignored his words, “This is dangerous, Jaehyun. What you did is insane.” You crossed your arms.
He sauntered up to you and wrapped his hands on your waist, “Come on, baby. You wouldn’t have let me visit if I told you. I’ve been planning this for weeks.” He mumbled, pressing his lips on your hair.
“Still. You should have informed me. What if someone saw you leaving your dorm? For Pete’s sake, you’re a member of NCT.” He held the back of your head and gently pressed your face on his chest.
“Baby, stop worrying for a minute.” He then pulled away and cupped your cheeks, “I miss you.” Then he pressed his lips to yours. You stopped yourself from grabbing his hair and deepening the kiss, even though that’s all you wanted to do the moment he stood face to face with you.
“I’m sorry if I didn’t had the chance to text you today. It was a hectic day, baby.” He explained against your lips. Then he started to kiss your cheek, jaw, down to your neck. “Please don’t be jealous. Naeun invited me and Minhyuk for a coffee and that’s it.”
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
Jaehyun sucked on your neck then. It took your knees a lot of willpower not to buckle. “That’s my mistake. I thought you were still busy practicing and I didn’t wanna disturb you. Your comeback’s in one week, baby. I don’t wanna be a nuisance.”
“You were never a nuisance, you know that.”
“I know. And you, too. But I hope you understand my reasons, though.” He kissed your collarbone, his fingers pulling the collar of your shirt down. “I love you.” He whispered against your skin, his breath hot. Then he looked at your eyes, “I love you. Forgive me, baby.”
Jung Jaehyun. All the girls swoons at the sight of him ever since he was in high school. Who in their right minds would decline this boy?
So you grabbed his cheeks, “I forgive you.”
His grin transformed his face in an instant. From something adorable, to something… hungry. He kissed your lips with enough ferocity as to bruise the skin.
Then he whispered, in his most raspy voice, “What are you waiting for? Spread those legs for me now, baby. I haven’t eaten yet, and I’m so, so hungry.”

Give me That Title
Summary: You have been hooking up with Colton for months and though you have feeling for him you’ve known since the beginning what your relationship with him is. You’re okay with it. You’re also okay with being perpetually single. That is until you meet someone that makes you want to date for the first time in a while. Though Colton’s reaction to hearing about your date... well that’s more surprising than the fact that you decided to go on a date in the first place.
Player: Colton Parayko
Word Count: 5.1k
*Inspired by Meghan Trainor’s Title*
I know girls ain’t hard to find
If you think you want to try
Than consider this an invitation
To kiss my ass goodbye
You were on the floor in front of your floor length mirror, with makeup spread out on the floor all around you when your phone buzzed. You paused with the mascara wand next to your eye, finished what you were doing, reinserted the wand into the tube, screwed on the cap and then picked up your phone already having a pretty good idea of who it was.
Colton had just gotten back in town from his road trip earlier that day and odds were he wasn’t in the mood to go out partying tonight. He wanted someone to come to him. The most recent notification on your phone, right above a few from the NHL app was indeed a text message from Colton. You had been his most regular hook up for the past seven months and at some point, in that time he had given you his phone number when he got tired of dealing with snapchat.
If you were being fair, the two of you did a lot of talking to. If someone were to scroll through your text messages they would never know that you were just some twenty-one-year-old girl who had gotten caught up in a lifestyle that you had no business in. They would probably think that you and Colton were friends. Friends who just hung out a lot late at night.
You unlocked your phone, opened the text and scanned the message. You busy?
You glanced up into the mirror, at your half-done makeup. Yes.
His response was fast, like he’d been waiting for it. No, really. Do you want to come over?
Okay, if you were being fair, it was a very rare occasion that you passed him up on an offer to come over. You always responded to his messages and you were basically at his beck and call. Your only serious obligation was your college courses. Your work hours were pretty much ‘come and go as you please’ and so you did. Whenever Colton asked. He knew when you were in class and he knew it wasn’t now.
Being tied to a man who had no intention of ever committing to you wasn’t a huge issue for you. Committing your time to him wasn’t either because he was gone so much and spent so many nights out with the team that you could still have friends and a life of your own. Besides, you would be lying if you said you hadn’t hooked up with a few other people in the beginning just as he had. You assumed he still did, but you didn’t bother anymore, the sex didn’t compare.
Then two weeks ago, you met Chase. You were sitting at a coffee shop on Main Street, enjoying your tea when he had walked in. He’d sat down on the couch beside you as he drank his coffee. He turned to you, stared at your Blues t-shit for a moment and then said, “Can you believe how badly the Blues got it handed to them last night?”
You’d spent two hours talking after that, about anything and everything. He’d asked you out. You’d given him your number. Now you sat in front of your mirror getting ready for the first real date you’d been on in over a year since you had broken off your engagement and sitting there, on that couch next to Chase, in his faded St. Charles County Firefighter t-shirt, you’d realized something.
This thing with Colton wasn’t enough anymore. You wanted a real relationship. Someone you could imagine a future with and not roll your eyes at yourself for being ridiculous. Someone who would really love you and not just love getting you naked. Someone who saw in you whatever it was that Chase saw that made his eyes light up when he talked to you that day.
You wanted someone who would someday ask you to marry them. You would buy a house together. Make one of those salt plaster ornaments with your first house key to put on the tree that you would decorate together every year. Build a fence in the backyard for your dog and your kids to run around.
Maybe that would be Chase, maybe it would be the next guy you went out with, or the next. Maybe you would find him a year from now. But you knew one thing for sure. No matter how much you wanted him to be, no matter how much you loved Colt, he was never going to be that guy.
He would never commit to a girl who looked like you.
Hell, you didn’t think he was ready to commit at all, despite how nice of a guy he was and his picture-perfect image. He enjoyed living it up, he enjoyed his parties, he enjoyed his bunnies. A girlfriend would cramp his style.
You glanced down at your phone and saw that ten minutes had passed, you needed to hurry up and get your makeup done and you still had Colton to deal with. I can’t. I’m going out tonight.
Again, he responded before you could pick up your mascara to finish your other eye, so he must not have been doing anything. He was probably laying on the couch watching TV. Oh. Are you going out with (Y/F/N)?
You didn’t really think about what you were typing before you just hit send, you just did it and then dropped your phone before going back to your makeup. This time you finished all of your eye makeup and were on to your lips when your phone eventually buzzed.
It wasn’t until you picked it up that you read what you had sent him and actually felt a little bad. You knew you both saw other people. You knew you weren’t a couple and you were both free to do whatever you wanted, but neither of you ever made a point of talking about it. You only knew about it his exploits from the girls who bragged about it online and occasionally posted pictures of them together to corroborate their stories. No, (Y/F/N) is out of town. I have a date tonight.
He’d responded five minutes later with. You have a date?
You glanced at the message, not sure how to respond at first then decided on simply, Yeah, he’s really nice.
The dots appeared and then disappeared about five times before they stayed long enough for him to type out his response. You never go on dates.
You rolled your eyes. Leave it to a guy in the NHL to think he had a girl locked down because she didn’t go on other dates for a little while even though he was still fucking other people. I decided that I want something real. Is that so bad?
You finished your makeup and made it out to your car before he responded. I guess not.
If it ain’t no thing
Then I won’t be hangin around
But don’t be blowin up my shit at three am
Sayin how you need me now
You had now been out on two dates with Chase and Colton had coincidently texted asking you to come over as you were walking out the door to get into Chase’s truck the night you went out with him for the second time. He’d taken your rejection slightly less… diplomatically this time which was uncharacteristic for him. You’d only turned him down a handful of times, but you could never remember him being upset. He’d always continued to talk to you until one of you got too busy to hold up the conversation. This time though, he was clearly upset.
Can you come over? I have food that I shouldn’t be eating that you would love.
You smiled when you read the message, because it almost sounded like he was inviting you over for a date even though you knew that wasn’t what it was. You could still dream. Then you remembered that outside your apartment complex, Chase was waiting for you.
I’m sorry, I’d love to but I’m busy tonight. Raincheck?
He’d responded quickly like he didn’t even think about what he was saying before he said it, Big date tonight?
You narrowed your eyes at the phone. What’s that supposed to mean?
You waited for his response before you walked outside into the bitter February air. Nothing. I just wanted you to come over.
Now it was three in the morning and you were lying in bed, trying to fall asleep. Still thinking about how uncharacteristically spiteful Colton had been that night. Then your phone went off for the first time. You ignored it, because, well, it was three in the morning. But then ten minutes later it went off again. And five minutes after that it went off again. Not five minutes passed before there was another. Then soon after another alert. Finally, you sat up in a huff, grabbing the phone off your bedside table and unlocking it to see the notifications.
All messages from Colton and he appeared to be drunk. Very drunk.
(Y/N) r u home
i miss u
u should com over
r u still with him
u should be here instead
You squeezed your eyes shut then opened them to make sure you were reading the messages correctly. Is that why he had been so spiteful that night? Was Colt… jealous? You couldn’t go over to his house now, because regardless of what you suspected, nothing had changed. He wasn’t going to commit to you. He wasn’t going to give you that house together or the Christmas tree with the first key ornaments or the kids running around in the backyard. It just wasn’t in the cards for them. Besides, he was drunk off his ass right now. He would never, in a million years send u or r in place or you or are if he wasn’t well past the legal limit.
Colton, go to sleep. You’re drunk, you don’t know what you’re saying.
The dots appeared right away but it took him awhile to type the message.
i no wht im saying i miss u com over ur with him arnt u
It took you a moment to decipher the message but when you did, you sighed and responded carefully. Colt, I’ve been home since 10:00. I can’t come over, its already three in the morning and you’re so drunk you’ll be passed out by the time I get there. You won’t even be able to let me in.
He didn’t like that answer. ill take a shower to sober up before u get here
Colton.
fine goodnight
You sighed again, Goodnight Colt.
Don’t call me boo
Like your some kind of ghost
If you don’t want me seeing other guys,
Then here’s what you need to know
Come stay tonight.
It was just those three words. The team was leaving for a road trip and they had the next day off. You had always in the past cleared your schedule on those days for him if he asked you to. The two of you would stay in bed all day, you would cook for him when you got hungry and he would leave for the roadie the next day relaxed and happy. This had started off as an occasional arrangement but had become a routine and now almost every time he had a day off in town, this was the plan.
You cleared your schedule.
When you got to his house with your overnight bag, you had just knocked on the door when it opened. He was standing there looking perfect as ever in a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt, but his hair wasn’t styled like usual. It was tousled and limp like he’d been running his fingers through it enough to destroy whatever effect the gel had previously had on it.
He stepped to the side to let you in and closed the door behind you as soon as you were out of the way. He turned to face you, “I’m sorry… about the other night.”
You shrugged, not meeting his eyes, continuing to face the living room. You didn’t want to talk about this. You knew your time together was limited. This may very well be the last time they spent a night together before you had a boyfriend and you had to end… whatever this was. you didn’t want to spend it talking about what he’d said two nights ago and how he hadn’t meant it. How he was just drunk. “It isn’t a big deal.”
You slipped off your shoes, leaving them by the door. You always felt weird wearing shoes in his house, everything was so much more expensive than what you were used to. You walked away from him before he could say anything else, placing your bag on the couch and then leaning against the back of it and turning to watch him. He was frozen in place, staring at the spot you had previously been standing. After a minute he shifted his eyes to you and made his way into the living area.
He stood directly in front of you, with his hands in his pockets. He looked unsure for the first time since you’d met him, and you couldn’t quite figure out why. “I made dinner.” He said. “It’s almost ready.”
You furrowed your eyebrows at him, “You made us dinner?” You asked. “I always make dinner.”
“I know…” He said, he shifted, looking over her head at something in the distance, “I just thought… I don’t know. It was an early game and I got home at seven… I don’t mind cooking, so why not?”
You shrugged your shoulders, “I don’t know, I guess I just figured I would be cooking for you tonight.”
He looked down at you, meeting your eyes and smiling softly, “You don’t always have to do stuff like that. You can just come over and relax with me.”
Something was off. Colton was a nice guy. He was an amazing guy. But this was so far out of left field for your relationship that you didn’t know what you were dealing with. Then again, that’s how everything with him had been since the day you told him you were going on a date. He’d make sure to mark you up with hickeys everywhere when you hooked up the couple of times it had happened since. He was usually rough, but he never was one to leave dozens of hickeys all over you. Maybe one or two, nothing like that. His sideways remarks. Drunk texts. Now this?
You were in love with him. You had been for a long time and you knew it. Hell, you’d known when you let this start that you would fall in love with him. He was just the kind of guy you couldn’t help falling in love with. That’s why he had girls falling at his feet. He was a twenty-six-year-old professional hockey player, rich, attractive, with a great personality and he could have any girl he wanted. You never had any illusions that you would be the one to lock him down. Hell, at the time you weren’t even looking for a relationship. You were running from one.
But when he looked at you and said things like that, things like you can just come here to relax with me, it made you angry. Because you were in love with him. And when he said things like that and sent you a string of drunk texts at three in the morning, it gave you this irrational hope that he cared about more than just your pussy.
There was no way though.
And even if he did, did you want that life?
Constantly worrying about whether or not your boyfriend was with some other girl because he could have whoever he wanted? Always feeling like you weren’t good enough for him? Never being able to contribute equally to the household? Would he ever actually marry you even if he did date you? No. Probably not. You weren’t NHL wife material. Not pretty enough or classy enough.
But you smiled at him and pretended this battle wasn’t going on in your head and said, “Why don’t I help you finish cooking? I’m starving.”
After you ate, an amazing meal as it turned out Colton was actually quite the cook, when you made to help him with the dishes he turned around and set you on the island behind him, effectively banishing you from the soap. “I always help.” You protested.
“I’ve got it, (Y/N).” He said, his back muscles working as he washed a pot. “Just sit there and look pretty.”
You rolled your eyes, “As if that’s possible.” He turned to look at you over his shoulder, narrowed eyes and you bit your lip before responding, “Sorry, did I say that out loud?”
“Yeah. Don’t say it in your head either.” Then he went back to the dishes.
After the dishes were clean you expected to end up in the bedroom, but instead he guided you to the couch and handed you the remote, “What do you want to watch?”
You stared at the remote for a moment, then looked back at him. “I don’t know. I only watch movies in the theaters and I don’t think you’d like any of the shows that I watch.”
He frowned, “You only watch movies in theaters?”
“I don’t have the attention span to watch them unless I’m forced.” You said, “I’ll do anything to get out of it. Write, sleep, read, sex. Anything except watch the movie unless it’s a favorite and I’m in the mood to watch it. Which I’m not.”
“Okay, you like the Flames, right?” He asked. You nodded, “They’re playing now. Want to watch that?”
You smiled up at him, “That sounds awesome.”
By the time the game ended, you were curled into his side with his arm wrapped around you and you were ranting about every missed call while going on about Tkachuk’s game winning overtime goal. “Are you like this when you watch us play?” Colton asked, with a look in his eyes that you couldn’t identify and a smile on his face.
“Oh, I’m worse.” You said laughing and shaking your head, “When I lived with my sister she used to get so mad at me on nights you played late games because I would wake her up yelling at the TV.”
Colton placed a hand on your cheek and moved in. He pressed his lips to yours the same why he had so many times before, but this time if felt different. The kiss was long and slow and there were no hands pulling at clothes. One of his remained spanning your cheek and neck and the other rested on your waist, holding you in place.  Your hands, after the initial shock of the randomness of the kiss wore off, went up to his shoulders. He pulled you closer like he was afraid you were about to push him away, but you didn’t. You wouldn’t. You didn’t know if you knew how.
Especially not after the way this kiss made you feel.
You were the one to separate your lips, resting your foreheads together. Neither of you spoke for a stretch of time and the only sound filling the room was the Flames postgame in the background. Eventually he broke the silence. “I don’t like you dating other people.”
“Colton…” You said, squeezing your eyes shut. You didn’t want to hear this. You didn’t want him to tell you how he didn’t like seeing you with other people, but you could never be his. It wasn’t something you wanted to hear and if he said it… well if he said it you were going to have to get up and leave. You were going to have to end this.
“Please listen to me,” He said, his voice barely above a whisper but their faces were so close that you had no trouble picking up his words. “It hurts thinking about you dating someone else. It hurts thinking that I’m so close to losing you and if you don’t want me to stop you then there isn’t anything I can do about it.”
You pulled your forehead away from his and leaned back a little, looking at his hardwood floors, “Colton I can’t just be some girl that you call when you want to screw for the rest of my life.” You said it softly, but the words were harsh and he cast his eyes at the floor along with you, “I want something real. I want someone who is going to take me out on dates. We buy each other birthday presents. Set up a Christmas tree together every year. Have dreams of a future with each other in it. Someday I want a house with a backyard full of kids and a husband playing with them. I can’t have that if all I am is another girl who you mess around with but never want anything more from.”
When you were done he looked up at you and your eyes met. Before you could look away, he said, “But what if I want all of those things with you? What if I want something real too?”
Tears sprung to your eyes. Why was he doing this? Why couldn’t he just let you walk away when it was easier because you thought he would never love you. “Colt I don’t know if I’m cut out for that life. I’m just some girl who got caught up in a lifestyle she had no business being part of.”
“What’s so bad about it?” He asked, looking a little panicked. Like he hadn’t actually accepted the possibility of you walking away tonight for good. “Why couldn’t you date me?”
You shook your head, “I’ve been around your friends. They party. They drink. And athletes… they cheat. I know it’s a stereotype, but I would always be worried about it. Especially since the entire time we’ve known each other you’ve had the ability to just… do whatever you want. Besides the fact that I’m not pretty enough to ever be seen in public with you.”
Colton looked genuinely offended, “I don’t cheat. I never have, and I never will. I was raised better than that.” He placed a hand on your chin and forced you to look into his eyes, “And you are beautiful. I would take you everywhere. You would be all over my Instagram even.”
You blushed, “Colt…”
“(Y/N), give me a chance.” He said. “I messed up. I didn’t realize I was in love with you until someone else was already doing a better job at what should have been my job than I was. Please, let me fix it.”
You studied his face, trying to decide if he was serious. Trying to decide if you should give up what you saw in Chase for what you knew was there in Colton. There were obstacles, many of them, but if he was that determined to make it work then you would give it a try too.
“Okay, we can give it a real shot.”
I’m lovin’ what you got
But I’m hating what you doing
You gotta show me off, off
If you embarrassed,
Then thats the case I’m long gone
You’d been officially dating for four months now and things were going great. He knew how you felt about him going out drinking with the guys, so when he went, he invited you along. There were no more bunnies bragging about their conquest with him online, in fact they were beginning to suspect that he had settled down with someone. You were at every home game wearing his jersey with the other wives and girlfriend and even flown out to one of the away games. Pictures of the two of you together started appearing online, especially on websites that people used to track the habits of players and the speculation started.
Did Colton Parayko have a girlfriend?
The thing was, he wouldn’t confirm anything. People would tweet him, asking him about it. Nothing. People would message him on Instagram asking him about it? He ignored them. He posted a picture of himself with your dog on his Instagram and the comments were filled with the same question.
Do you have a girlfriend?
Is that your girlfriends’ dog?
Did your girlfriend take that picture?
Still he didn’t respond to any of them. You were beginning to wonder if it was because he was regretting his decision to enter a relationship with you. Was that what the issue was? Was he embarrassed of you? He’d promised that you would be all over his Instagram, but he hadn’t even let you tag them in a picture together. Did he wish he’d found someone more conventionally beautiful?
You were scrolling through a speculation post when he sat down beside you on the couch. “What are you reading?” He asked, looking over your shoulder.
You quickly locked your phone and dropped it into your lap, “Nothing. It doesn’t matter.”
He narrowed his eyes at you playfully, “I know your password and my arms are longer than yours.”
You sighed, “Why haven’t you gone public with our relationship?” You asked.
He looked caught off guard, “What do you mean?”
“You haven’t posted any pictures of us. You haven’t answered when anyone asks about us.” You looked away from him and down at the phone you were twisting in your hands. “If you’re embarrassed of me just tell me. We can end this.”
“No!” He said it before the words had even died on your tongue, “Of course I’m not embarrassed of you.”
You still didn’t meet his eyes, because honestly, you didn’t believe him. “Colton…”
“(Y/N),” He said, “I’ll post pictures of you right now. I’ll tweet out a response to the next person who asks me. I’m not embarrassed, why would I be? I didn’t know it was that big of a deal to you or I never would have kept it a secret. I just don’t like my private life to be all over the internet.” He grabbed your hand and pulled your phone away, setting it aside before taking your hand in his. “Please believe me.”
You looked up into his eyes and all you saw was love. He looked so genuine. How could you not believe him? “Okay,” you said. “I believe you.”
“We don’t have to keep it a secret,” He said, “I love you. I don’t care if people know.”
You smiled up at him, “I would like that.”
Give me that title, title
Come on give me that title, title
Better give me that title, title
Better give me that title, title, yeah
They’d been together for two years now and they had come a long way from the day that Colton had sworn she was going to walk out his front door and end up in the arms of another man. As she sat on her towel with her toes dug into the sand next to him, glass of wine in her hand, staring at the sun setting over the ocean, he couldn’t believe that he’d ever come close to letting that happen.
The words she spoke that day stuck in his mind every single day since she said them. Someday I want a house with a backyard full of kids and a husband playing with them. They already bought each other birthday presents and set up a Christmas tree together every year. They talked about their future together every day. But that was something that he hadn’t given her yet.
She was so distracted by the sunset that she didn’t notice him set his wine glass on the small table between them, low to the sand, before reaching into the beach bag, into the zippered back pocket that she never would have had a reason to open and pulling out the small velvet box. He settled back onto his towel with the box in his hand, but kept his eyes focused on her.
He’d had the whole moment planned out, but now that they were here, and he was holding the ring and she was sitting next to him, it was like he had never planned a thing.
He shifted to his knees so that he was facing her, and that action was enough to pull her away from the sunset. She turned to him with a smile on her face so genuine that it made his heart swell. “What’s that look for?” She asked, “You should be watching the sky, it’s beautiful.”
“I’d rather watch you.” He said, and her cheeks flushed. Whether it was from the tropical heat or his words he didn’t know. He kept the box hidden under his hand as he said, “(Y/N), the day we decided to be together, you said something. You said that someday you wanted a husband and kids and an entire life with someone.” He looked down at his hand which still hid the ring, then back up at the most important person in his life who was looking at him with wide eyes, like she wanted to believe what was happening but didn’t quite want to get her hopes up. He lifted the hand that wasn’t concealing the ring and used it to guide her into standing up. She rose to her feet, burying them in the sand.
He rose to one knee and finally reveled the box, snapping it open, “I want that to be me. I want that life with you. I’m ready for it. If you say yes, I promise that we’ll have a house with a huge backyard and a fence and a swing set for our kids to play on. We’ll be the family that you always wanted to have. So, (Y/N), will you marry me?”
She was completely in shock, staring at him like she couldn’t believe a single word he had just said had actually come out of his mouth. But it had, and as soon as she realized that, she answered him. “Of course, I will!”
He slid the ring on her finger, tossed the box on the towel beside them and then was up and twirling her in the air in a second. Yes, they had come a long way in the past two years. And god was he glad they had.

illicit affairs (pt. 1)
hi i was gonna wait until the entire fic was done to post but i decided Heck It so here u go here is part one if anyone would like
part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | read on ao3
Leave the perfume on the shelf / That you picked out just for him
Cordelia sighed as she placed the last pin into her attempt at a presentable updo. If her corset wasn't keeping her spine straight, the sigh would've been enough to cause her to slouch, but instead her shoulders just slumped over awkwardly in defeat. She was unfamiliar with doing her own hair, as one of the lady’s maids employed by her family had always managed her curls into beautiful hairstyles. Even after coming to London, she had Risa to help her dress. However, herself and James decided it would be easier for them to keep the secret of their sham marriage if they kept no servants. This decision was also partly made for them by fact the only real money they had was the salaries they received as Shadowhunters. As a result, Cordelia quickly learned how to dress herself, but was still somewhat lacking when it came to shaping her hair into one of the elegant styles that she saw the mundane women sport while they were out shopping on Bond Street.
A quick rap on the door snapped her out of her sulking. She and James slept in different bedrooms - Cordelia and James insisted upon a two bedroom home under the guise that they needed one bedroom to use as a guest room, just in case one of the Merry Thieves ever had too much to drink and needed to stay the night. The two bedroom house in Holborn was bought with help from a very generous loan from James’s father, Will.
“Daisy?” James’s voice came from the other side of the door, causing Cordelia to pop up from the bench at her dressing table. “Are you nearly ready? The carriage will be here soon.” Despite the fact that their house was easily within walking distance to the Institute, Will always had the Institute’s carriage sent to fetch them whenever they planned to visit.
“Yes,” she called back through the door. “Just give me one more moment.”
She picked up the small glass bottle from her dressing table and unstoppered it, turning it over so some of the scent spread onto the pulse point of her one wrist. She repeated the motion on the other wrist and then rubbed her wrists together while the scent was still slightly damp to set it in. Finally, she replaced the stopper into the little bottle and set it back onto the table. Cordelia remembered how the mundane shopgirl in one of the storefronts on Oxford Street had told her how the fragrance would help catch the attention of the handsomest of male suitors, assuming that she was not engaged - let alone married - as she did not wear any mundane trinket of marriage. Cordelia asked the shopgirl how to apply the perfume, and she was more than happy to show her, as it was a hot day and many decided to stroll in the park rather than shop and Cordelia and Lucie had been her only real customers in quite a few hours. Cordelia personally didn’t like the scent of the perfume, but she thought James would. The small bottle was expensive, as the shopgirl explained that it was brought in from Paris which was apparently “the perfume capital of the world!” Cordelia wasn’t sure about that, but forked over the money regardless. The shopgirl packaged up Cordelia’s perfume and Lucie’s new hairpins, which were adorned with tiny pearls, and the two girls departed the shop. That was two weeks ago, and Cordelia was sure the perfume would grab James’s attention, but it hadn’t raised as much as a compliment from him.
Cordelia smoothed her blue dress as she walked over to the door; she had taken to wearing the colour based upon Anna’s fashion advice. She threw the door open to reveal James - although they had been married for nearly four months now, it still felt strange to even think of him as ‘her husband’ as she knew in her gut he wasn’t truly hers. He smiled at her - a radiant smile that transformed his entire face. His golden eyes shone like the late afternoon sun glinting off the Thames. It seemed as if the entire Enclave always went on about how William Herondale was so handsome, but Cordelia felt James’s otherworldly colouring gave him an incomparable beauty that made him the best looking Herondale. He offered his arm, “You look beautiful, as always. Shall we go down to the street to wait for the carriage?”
Accepting his arm, she gave him a small smile. “Lead the way, Lord James.” He let out a laugh at their shared joke as they swept down the stairs. The Merry Thieves had taken to calling them ‘Lord’ and ‘Lady’ shortly after they moved into the house. One evening, the group had gotten a little too rambunctious and broke one of the plates from the wedding china. Cordelia had scolded the boys, and Matthew had simply bowed and said “My apologies, Lady Cordelia.” Since that evening, the group had taken to greeting them with the mock titles whenever they came over. In the months they had been married, James had also told her she was beautiful nearly everyday, but there was no real tenderness behind the words. It was like he was saying it simply because that's what a husband should do, not because he wanted to.
They made their way out the door just as the Institute’s carriage was coming to a stop in front of the house. As he always did, James let go of her arm to first go over to Balios and Xanthos to give their noses a scratch. Cordelia knew James had known the horses since before he could talk, and always found it endearing to see his love for the beautiful animals. James hadn’t told her much more than stories of riding the horses around the Institute grounds with Lucie, but Cordelia could tell they meant a great deal to the Herondale family. He then came back over to Cordelia and helped her into the carriage. At the beginning of their marriage, Cordelia had insisted she could help herself into the carriage, but James insisted as not to raise suspicion in Cyril that James was anything but a dutiful and loving husband.
Once James had sat himself across from Cordelia and thumped the door closed, the carriage began rattling toward the direction of the Institute. It had become a weekly habit for James and Cordelia to attend dinner at the Institute every Thursday evening, no matter what other business had happened during the week. She had to admit, it was nice to have a routine event to look forward to - something that was consistent despite the increasing uncertainty amongst the Enclave with the growth in demonic activity in London. It was also nice to not have to attempt to cook for an evening. James seemed to have a natural inclination for cooking, and would often whip up absolutely delicious meals for her and the Merry Thieves, as they were frequent dinner guests. When Cordelia asked where he had learned to cook, he told her how he would sometimes hang around the Institute’s kitchen while Bridget was preparing meals. Bridget would pretend to be annoyed, but would tell him each step she took in preparing her exquisite dinners and lush desserts while she worked.
As per usual, James began chattering away about his day during the short ride to the Institute. It was really a beautiful evening - a rare London night that was actually free from rain - and Cordelia would have actually preferred to walk and take in the crisp, early evening air. They pulled through the gates of the Institute just as James finished telling her about how Christopher nearly burned down The Devil Tavern again. Lucie was on the steps to greet them, bouncing on the balls of her feet with excitement as if she hadn’t just seen Cordelia yesterday. The second James had helped her down from the carriage, Lucie had taken her arm and began intently discussing her new chapter of The Beautiful Cordelia. As they made their way to the dining room, Lucie insisted that Cordelia see the recent additions after dinner. Of course, Cordelia agreed, as James typically retreated to the drawing room with his parents to discuss whatever books they had read that week.
Tessa was already in the dining room when Lucie and Cordelia entered, and she darted over to embrace Cordelia in a hug. Cordelia couldn’t help but feel guilty whenever Tessa embraced her - she was so full of love for her family, and shared that love so easily with Cordelia under the belief that Cordelia was the woman her son truly loved, and planned on sharing his entire life with. Tessa released her, and looked her over with a smile. Gently, she reached up and pushed one of the pins in her hair that had already begun to come loose. “You look radiant tonight, Cordelia.” Tessa began, as she moved back towards her seat. “You must tell me where you got that perfume, I just love the smell. Shall we sit and wait for our boys?”

The Goode Case, 1/14 (Jaida/Jan) - Juno
Summary: The case of the missing heiress and NYU senior Gigi Goode throws New York detective Jaida, along with her colleagues Brita and Jackie, into a mystery. Especially when the case takes a paranormal turn. And Jaida is not ready to face her truth.
Chapter Summary: Being on call on a Saturday is a drag, but a clue and two witnesses can’t wait until Monday. Not when it’s been thirty-six hours since Gigi Goode disappeared.
(A/N: Hi all - after lurking for a while I’m posting for the first time! The ship(s) are REALLY slow burn, and the whole fic is huge by complete accident, so if you’d rather read it on AO3 it’s over there too. So here’s the insane detective au that no one asked for. I hope you enjoy!)
Saturday 28th October
9.30AM
It wasn’t the usual alarm that made Jaida roll over sleepily, even though initially she thought it was.
She liked to organise her life separately, and that included her phone tones. One tone for family, one tone for Heidi and her other closest friends, one for colleagues, and one for strangers. Of course sleep threw her memory out of the window, and in thinking she was hitting the sleep button, she inadvertently declined the call instead.
The phone sounded again a few seconds after Jaida had closed her eyes and thrown her arm back over her face, drifting back into her dream. This time, coming to, she picked up the phone and peered at the screen. Jackie’s name had come up.
Of course, she realised – it was a work tone, not an alarm.
“This is Hall.”
“Jaida, I think there’s been an update on the case you’re on.”
How did Jackie sound so put-together this early on a Saturday? And how would she know about the case anyway? Brita was heading it, while Jackie had been working on something different. Surely Brita would have been the one to call?
“What’s the update?”
“Something to do with the abandoned property on Westfield Avenue.”
“You mean the old Visage guest house?” Jaida rubbed her eyes. “What does that place have to do with anything on the case? You know damn well it’ll just be more kids playing around. Brita and I got called there to break up a party or something three weeks ago.”
“I’m not sure. But what I do know, is that it will be me and you. And you know what that means, don’t you?”
Jaida nodded grimly.
Jackie’s – unusual – talents weren’t really publicly known, but they weren’t really unknown either within the office.
“If you nod, I can’t hear you.”
“Okay okay, I’m getting up.” Jaida stifled a yawn. “Is it plain clothes or uniform?”
“Uhm,” Jackie paused, “I didn’t catch that part. But don’t come round yet. Just wait for Brita to call you. Don’t tell her I called first, you know how she gets.”
Jaida put down the phone, stretched and rolled to the edge of the bed, sitting up.
“Phone call from Brita in five, four, three …”
Her phone was ringing again before she could even finish counting. This time it was the friend tone, she saw Brita on her screen, in a selfie they had taken together.
While Jackie was still relatively new to the team, Brita and Jaida went way back. Three long years on the team as Detectives, and even with Brita’s recent promotion to team leader, half a step below Sergeant, they were still tight. Jaida preferred to keep some separation, but Brita had graduated to a friend, not just a colleague.
 “This is Hall.”
“Jaida. Wait. You’re awake?” Brita sounded incredulous.
“Sure.”
“On a Saturday?”
“Girl …”
“… before noon?”
“Shut up, Brita.”
There was silence for a few moments. “Has Jackie already called you?”
“No,” Jaida said, but she knew it was a little too fast.
Brita sighed on the other end of the phone. “She’s really starting to get on my nerves. I told her not to do her telepathic stuff on me unless I ask her to, or like, I’m unconscious at a crime scene. I don’t need her reading my mind whenever Chief gives me an update on a case.”
“I don’t think she can always control it, especially if you’re shocked by something. And you know she doesn’t normally. You said you can feel it when she does it! That’s more than what I can do.”
“Anyway, a clue has been found at the old Visage guest house. The one that’s been abandoned since the 80s. A gold anklet. Check your email when I ring off for the photo and the updated report on the case.”
Jaida sighed. “Plain or uniform?”
“Plain, until we know more. Can you be here at eleven?”
“Sure.” Like she had a choice.
When Brita hung up, Jaida sent a quick text to Heidi, who she’d promised to meet today for a shopping trip.
Jaida: Heidi Aphrodite x
Heidi: hey gorg xx
Jaida: Hey, got an emergency at work. Can’t come out today. Sorry, will make it up to you next Saturday if you want?
Heidi: Jai you promised! How am i gonna look hot tonight for my date without u to get me fashion tips? Xx
Heidi: im gonna look like a witch lmao x
Jaida: Sorry H. She gonna love u anyway though! And no you won’t look like a witch! Xx
Eleven was pushing it, so Jaida opted for a pair of plain black jeans with a black polo neck sweatshirt, the first things to appear before her in what she called her “boring shelf” of her drawers, where she had the plain clothes for work. There wasn’t even any time for makeup really – she just swiped a layer of mascara and lip gloss and seized her bag before heading out the door of her room.
“Hey, Widow,” she called to her housemate, who was already up and in the living room, her paintbrush in hand, holding it up to the window and using it to measure the angles of the view outside. “You get much sleep last night?”
“Not much,” Widow said, not turning from her painting, “been up since the crack of fucking dawn.” She dabbed a bit more of the orange and ran it into the colours already on the canvas, spilling some onto the newspapers on the floor, and the band shirt and long shorts she wore, which were already covered in paint. “I can’t even remember what the sun looked like.”
Jaida inspected the painting from afar, a gorgeous interpretation of the sunrise from their apartment, which faced east, in Widow’s favourite set of acrylics.
The sun had long risen already and was now behind some dark clouds, but Widow was working partly from the outside, and partly from a photo she’d taken from her phone. Her strokes were frantic, paint dotting the newspapers that she always put down.
“Did you even try to sleep last night?” Jaida asked warily.
“Bitch of course I did, but I can’t sleep much right now, you know how it is.” Widow wiped her brow with her forearm and reached down to the table behind her for the mug of black coffee she’d poured herself.
“There’s some coffee in the pot if you want some?”
“Nah, I got to work. Emergency.”
“You’re fucking married to your work, Jai,” Widow said sadly, picking up the brush again and dipping back into the orange, still not looking at her. “There’s more to life.”
Jaida wanted more than anything to stay here and comfort Widow, but she knew she’d miss the bus if she stayed much more. Instead she went to give her a kiss on the cheek and a one-armed hug before seizing her coat and bag and heading out the door.
It was October, late October, and it was already turning cold this year. Jaida tugged her coat around her and blew into her hands as she stood waiting for the bus. Once she was on, it was a long ride into the city, and she got to settle into her seat and finally open her email.
The photo was just a photograph of an anklet sent from a phone, on the white table so as to make it stand out. But the report that Brita had attached, it was the Goode case.
Jaida frowned. Brita and Jaida had been working on that yesterday, but Jackie was on a different case, so that couldn’t be right. And it wasn’t like Brita not to double-check exactly what she was sending her. She’d have to check with her when she got to the office.
11.04AM
“Sorry I’m late,” Jaida lied through her teeth as she dashed into the meeting room. Four minutes was neither here nor there, but Brita was always on time for everything, and a few minutes was still a slight affront.
Jackie, next to Brita, raised an eyebrow in a way that let Jaida know that she wasn’t convinced.
“Traffic?” Brita asked.
“Traffic,” Jaida nodded. “And that driver, he didn’t know the green light from the red one. Took the car behind beeping like crazy for him to move.”
Jackie’s other eyebrow was raised now too. Jaida didn’t feel guilty in telling a little white lie, but she did occasionally forget about Jackie’s telepathic abilities. Unlike Brita though, Jaida couldn’t tell when Jackie was hearing her thoughts, so Jackie had probably seen through her mind that Jaida had spent the last ten minutes hurriedly gulping down her Starbucks rather than in a traffic jam. Honestly, Jaida probably could have done with some more coffee, but needs must and all that.
She gave Jackie a look, and repeated in her mind just go with it just go with it just go with it as loudly as she could think, until Jackie looked away.
“Okay, well now that you’re here, we need to discuss the morning’s itinerary,” Brita said, unfolding the paper she’d printed. “Here’s the revised report.”
“Yeah about that, I think you sent me the wrong one,” Jaida interrupted.
“I know what you’re thinking, but the new clue does seem to relate to the Goode case.” Brita nodded grimly.
“Has Jackie been filled in on the Goode case?”
“Well, I read the report,” Jackie replied. “Georgina Goode, twenty-two, senior in fashion design at NYU, missing since Thursday night, that sound about right?”
“That sums it up, yes.” Brita unfurled the map of the area.
“Georgina was last seen at a party on Northfield, here, on Thursday night, several witnesses have confirmed that. We’re on Saturday morning now. Last sighting was on a security camera on the corner of Northfield and Westfield, and that was at …” Brita glanced at the date stamp on the camera print out. “Eleven twenty-nine. Georgina was turning onto Westfield through that camera. The first camera on Westfield is still undergoing repairs, and the second one never caught her.”
“Could she have gotten into a car?” Jackie asked, but Brita shook her head.
“No cars on camera were recorded on any of the streets at that time, not until eleven thirty-five. And that driver was interviewed first thing this morning. His alibi is water-tight.”
“So she’s been gone for thirty-six hours,” Jaida nodded. “And her parents are still saying she’s not home?”
Brita shook her head, chewing her bottom lip grimly.
Jaida felt her heart sinking. The fact that Georgina was heading into the second day of being officially missing, meant that this investigation was more and more likely becoming a search for a body rather than a person.
“And the anklet that’s been found, is it Georgina’s?”
“We’ve yet to have confirmation from the parents, but we did get some … uh, unusual new witnesses to the case. Two students from NYU. They went to the Visage guest house to do some paranormal stuff,” Brita used her fingers to make speech marks. “They’re the ones who found the anklet, and one of claims it’s Georgina’s. They’ve agreed to interview today, at eleven thirty.”
“I thought that house was boarded up?” Jackie asked.
“Well, one of them found a loose window. Let the other one in. And it’s a good thing they did,” Brita said darkly, “because otherwise we’d have no leads yet. And it gets more interesting from there.”
“How?”
“Come with me,” Brita beckoned to them both, “and we’ll go set up for interview. I’ll watch the monitors.”
11.30AM
The witness room had the blinds drawn to keep out the sun, for even though it wasn’t the warmest day, the windows in that room could heat it right up in a heartbeat if the sun was out. It meant that the light was on, even though it was still early.
The two women were also seniors, as Georgina was. From the notes Jaida had been given, they were Kristen and Ava, and Jaida read that Kristen shared classes with Georgina, while Ava knew her through Kristen. One of them was trembling while the other looked quite placid.
Jaida looked from one to the other, then down at her notepad, while Jackie sat down next to her, her eyes darting between the two witnesses as she pressed the record button.
Jaida cleared her throat. “So, uhm, Kristen and Ava –“
“No! We’ve said this ten times already!” The more nervous of the two piped up. “I’m Crystal, she’s Aiden! Whoever wrote down our names in the lobby wrote them wrong!” Crystal, the one who was speaking, put her head in her hands, obscured by a curtain of curly red hair. Aiden put a hand on Crystal’s shoulder to calm her down.
“Sorry about my friend, she’s not normally this anxious, we’ve just had – an experience,” Aiden said quietly.
Jackie nodded. “I understand.”
She was trying to sound sympathetic, but Jaida caught a hitch in her voice, felt Jackie tense up suddenly. Even with their mental connection, Jaida could not read minds, so Jackie’s thoughts would have to remain a mystery for now at least.
“I’ll adjust it now,” Jaida muttered, crossing out the names and re-writing them. “Right, Crystal and Aiden, you found the anklet in the old guest house?”
Crystal emerged from behind her hands. “Yeah, yeah we did.”
“Why were you there? Did you think Georgina would be there?”
“She – she’d mentioned something about it,” Crystal was shivering, Aiden rubbing her shoulder, seemingly encouraging her to go on.
“Do you remember what she said exactly?” Jaida asked, pen hovering over the notepad.
“She said it had been owned by a relative,” Crystal replied. “I can’t remember who, some distant relative.“
“The Visage family closed the house after a few controversies back in the eighties,” Jaida said. “Were the Visage family related to Georgina’s?”
“No one calls her Georgina, she’s Gigi.”
“Alright, well were they related to Gigi?”
“I mean, I don’t know, but she said they were!” Crystal’s voice was rising in pitch, shaking with emotion. Aiden continued to rub her shoulder while she took a couple of deep breaths to relax.
Jackie’s breathing on the other hand was shaky next to Jaida, and Jaida wished that Jackie would leave the room or something, if she was getting something mentally from these girls.
“So you went to the house. Did you think Gigi was inside it?”
Jaida managed to catch Aiden, whose face had been expressionless so far, tense a muscle in her jaw and her eyes dart to Crystal, who met them before looking back at Jaida.
“I don’t know.” Crystal shook her head.
“You sure?” Jaida asked.
“Well,” Crystal began, but Jaida saw it clearly this time; Aiden give her shoulder a rapid squeeze, and Crystal sighed. “I thought I saw her inside. But I was wrong,” she added hurriedly. Aiden, next to her, tensed her jaw again.
“Inside? In the building?“
Aiden took her hand away from Crystal.
“I didn’t see her,” Aiden said, speaking finally, “but Crystal said she did, so I looked around and I – I found a loose board in one of the windows,” she shrugged. “I didn’t see the issue with taking it off to get in, especially if Crystal said she saw someone.” Her tone was defiant.
“You girls aren’t in trouble for going in, if you think she was there,” Jaida tried to calm her down, “but you’re saying you didn’t see her?”
Aiden paused before shaking her head. “No, I didn’t.”
“But she must have been there, because that’s her anklet! I gave her that for her birthday last December, she’s worn it ever since!” Crystal cried.
“You recognise the anklet? In this picture?” Jaida slid the photo of it to her.
In response, Crystal leaned into her chair and raised her right leg to the table, lifting her floor-length skirt away from her ankle. She was wearing an identical anklet to the one in the picture.
“We have the same ones! Matching ones. She’s my best friend.”
Crystal was seemingly holding back tears now; and as she put her foot back on the floor, she rubbed her eyes ferociously with the back of her hand. “I’m sorry, I want you to take me seriously, I know it sounds crazy, but I know what I saw. I saw Gigi, and we found the anklet, so she must have been there.”
“So you found the anklet, but did you see any other sign of disturbance?”
“I don’t – I don’t know. We just found the anklet, and we – we left,” Crystal stuttered, glancing at Aiden as if for confirmation.
“You didn’t see or hear any people? No one in there?”
“No, no one,” Crystal said.
“You sure?”
Crystal nodded. Aiden’s left eye gave a definite twitch.
Jackie pushed back her chair, muttering something about needing water. She stumbled to the door of the witness room, pulling it open and rushing away.
“I think we should wrap up for now on this,” Jaida said, rapping her notebook. “But before we do, is there anything else we should know that you have that could help us with the investigation?”
They both hesitated.
“Remember that your friend is missing,” Jaida said as gently as she could. “If you know anything that could help her, you’re doing the best by her in telling us.”
Aiden shook her head slowly, biting her lower lip.
“I don’t think I do,” Crystal muttered. “But … can I call you if, you know, anything else happens?”
Jaida slid her card over the table. “Sure, any time you need to.”
She turned off the recorder and let the two students leave the room, before turning out herself, locking the door behind her. They hurried down the corridor, back to the lobby, and disappeared out of the building.
Back in the meeting room, Jaida entered to find Brita was clutching Jackie’s shoulders, Jackie still shaking in fright, a glass of water shuddering in her hand. Jaida made sure the door to the meeting room was closed.
“Child, what was that about?”
“Jaida,” Brita warned, but Jackie put her glass down on the table.
“No, Brita, I need to tell her too! She probably noticed the same thing.” Jackie sat down in the chair, joined by Brita next to her, while Jaida took an opposing seat.
“It was so … weird,” Jackie’s voice quaked with emotion, “but that girl with the short hair, Aiden, I got – I got nothing at all from her.”
“Nothing? That’s weird,” Jaida agreed.
“Not even the whispering?”
“Nothing!” Jackie cried, pushing back her fringe. “It was so strange! I don’t think I’ve ever had that from someone! I mean, I know I have to have a connection with people to read them clearly, but most people at least whisper! I don’t get why … why I didn’t even hear that!”
“And the other one? Crystal?” Brita asked quietly.
Jackie took a deep breath to steady herself, suddenly stone-cold and calm, and looked Jaida straight in the eyes.
“She’s like you, Jai.”

Hidden Hearts // Daniel Seavey
Summary: The boys help set Daniel and Y/N up, seeing as they both like each other but are too scared and shy to admit their hidden feelings.
P.S: This is inspired by my previous post which is a reblog from seavey-siren’s account so shoutout to @seavey-siren for the inspiration. Also, I don’t know how ‘In and Out’ works. Sorry and this is kinda long.
- - -
It was 7:40PM and it was Game Night at the Why Don’t We house. You sat in the circle with the boys and their girlfriends, as they all gathered around for a game of “Spin the Bottle for a Truth or Dare”, as Corbyn had put it. Tate reached forward, spinning the bottle, Daniel’s phone rang. He got up from his spot, answering the call, “You guys can continue,” he whispered before leaving. As he left the room heading outside, to answer the call, the bottle landed on you. Tate grinned, “Truth or dare, y/n?”. You stuttered, “I u-uh truth.”
“Who do you like?”
You blushed, quickly blurting out, “I pick dare!”
Tate smirked, “Well, I dare you to answer your truth.”
Everyone laughed as you looked down at your lap. “Come on, y/n!”, Gabriela said, “Spill the tea!”. You looked up, checking to see if Daniel had left the room before turning to the group. “It’s Daniel.”, you whispered. They all burst out into a series of oohs and giggles, teasing you, “But don’t tell him!”. Just as you said that, Daniel walked in, “Don’t tell who what?”.
The group burst into hysterics as you sat there, stammering, trying to cover up what happened, “I u-uh um, w-well you see, “ you stuttered, pulling on the sleeves of your hoodie, “I was the one who ate your watermelon, two days ago.”, you blurted out. Daniel gasped, throwing his hands in the air, “I knew it had to be you or Zach!”. He sat beside you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder, causing you to blush even harder, “It’s cool though, I couldn’t have finished it myself.” In reality, it was Zach who had eaten the watermelon, but you just really needed a way to escape the situation. Daniel could never find out, because he didn’t feel the same, or at least, you thought so.

“Hey, you know, you should really tell him that you like him,” Jonah reasoned over the phone, “I’m sure he likes you back.” You sighed, playing with your hair, “You're just saying that to make me feel better about myself.” Jonah sighed, “You do you, y/n. Hey, you still on for tonight?”. You grinned, “Of course, what should I wear?”. Jonah chuckled, “We'll we’re going bowling and then we’re going to have dinner, so casual?”.
You nodded, as you walked over to your closet, looking through your clothes. “Is there anything else?”, you asked. “Oh yeah!”, Jonah said, “Daniel’s coming.”
“WHAT!”, you shrieked, nearly dropping the phone, “I thought he was visiting his family?!”. Jonah winced, “Jeez, y/n, calm down! Yes, Daniel was, but he took an earlier flight here. Anyways, I gotta go, bye!”. You heard Jonah shuffle around, “Jonah! Wait!”, but it was too late, he hung up on you. Daniel was coming. You looked back at your closet. What were you going to wear now?
- - -
You stood in front of your mirror, clad in ripped jeans and a beige sweater. Your hair was done in a ponytail and you wore a simple necklace and your favourite pair of shoes. Casual.
RING RING! RING RING!
You quickly adjusted your outfit before heading downstairs to meet the boys. You opened the door to be met my, of all people, Daniel. Your ‘hey’ seemed to turn into a “H-hi, h-hey!”, you blushed, mentally face-palming yourself. Daniel chuckled, “Hey, you!”, he brought you in for a hug, “I missed you.”. You smiled, as the two of you walked to the car, “Yeah, me too,” you said, no longer stuttering, “How was it, back home?”. Daniel smiled, sending butterflies into your stomach, “Amazing, as usual.”
On the ride there, you sat next to Daniel, seeing as they literally, was no space left in the car. You couldn't help but notice the sly glances everyone else was sending you as you were practically squished into Daniel. Zach sat on the other side of you, nudging you slightly. “What is it?”, you whispered, turning around. He signaled to you and Daniel, forming a heart with his hands. You rolled your eyes, slapping his shoulder. “Cut it out, Zach.” Luckily, Jonah pulled up to the bowling place, before anything else happened
You tightened your bowling shoes’ laces, standing up. “Y/n!”, Daniel yelled. Jack nudged you, “Your boyfriend’s calling you.”. You blushed, playfully pushing him before turning to Daniel who stood with a bowling ball at the lane. “Watch me do this!”, he said. With his back turned to the pins, he threw the ball in between his legs, watching it roll, upside down, to the pins, knocking all of them out. You cheered, with Daniel, clapping your hands as he came towards you. “Beat that, y/n! I dare you.”. You smirked, “You just messed with the wrong girl, Seavey.” Everyone ‘oohed’ as you reached for a ball, walking up to the lane.
You swung your arm back, before sending the ball forward, watching as it knocked down all the pins. “STTRIIIKKEEE!”, Jonah yelled. You giggled turning around, “Hope you were taking some notes, Daniel,” you joked. He rolled your eyes, “The only thing I’ll be taking is the winning title.”. Corbyn, Zach, Jack and Jonah watched your interaction in amusement, “Ready to initiate Part 2 of the plan?”, Jonah asked.
Corbyn grinned and walked up to the two of you, tapping your shoulders, “Hey guys, I know we just came and all, but I’m not feeling to well, so I’m gonna head home.”. You pouted, “Aww, you okay Corbs? Who you going home with?”. He faked being sick, coughing, “Jonah’s going to drop me off. Y’all can take an Uber, if that’s fine.” Daniel smiled, “Yeah of course, man, get better, yeah?”. Corbyn and Jonah left when suddenly, Zach and Jack came up to the both of you, looking sick.
“What’s with you two?”, Daniel asked. Jack groaned, leaning onto Zach, “I think we caught what Corbyn got, probably from the food we had this morning.”. Daniel frowned suspiciously, “Is that so?”. Zach sighed tiredly, “Yeah, man, see ya!”. He quickly pulled on Jack’s arm, and the two dashed out. “Well, that was something,” you chuckled. Daniel sighed, “Indeed, but hey, at least I get to show you how good I am at bowling now,” he said, since you both had to fill in for the boy’s turns. You smirked, “We’ll see about that.”
1 hour later, both you and Daniel sat at the seats outside the bowling centre, arms exhausted from throwing bowling balls. The two of you had tied in first place, calling it a truce. “Who knew bowling was painful?”, Daniel gasped out, shaking his hands to get rid of the soreness. You nodded, laughing, “Guess you learn something new everyday.”
“I saw an In and Out, just across from here. You down?”, he stood up, holding his hand out. You smiled, placing your hand in his, “Sure.” The two you walked hand in hand to In and Out where you ordered some food, takeaway, seeing as the ‘sick’ boys back home would probably be hungry, as you had told Daniel. If only he knew, the only reason you said that was so as to avoid having to sit with him, and having you blush and stutter, making it all the more likely for him to figure out he liked you and reject you. Why did life have to be like this?
Daniel threw his head back, laughing as you waited in line for your food, “They’re always hungry.” Once the two of you had gotten the food, you decided to walk back the boys’ house, seeing as it was only a short distance. “We should do this again, sometime. I had fun,” Daniel said, as he held your hand, swinging it back and forth. You smiled, looking up at him, “Yeah, me too.”, you looked ahead, “ It’s a shame, the boys weren’t there, though. They missed out on my amazing skills.”, you joked. Daniel laughed, again, “Yeah, that’s true,” he said to your surprise. You looked up at him, “What do you mean by that?”. He smiled, “You’re pretty good at bowling y/n, not gonna lie.”.
You chuckled, “I think you’re pretty good at bowling, too.”, you said, ”Well, you’re pretty good at everything; pretty good at instruments, pretty good at singing, pretty good at ping pong, pretty good at being pretty.”, you quickly stopped yourself, blushing, “Sorry, I- uh g-got a l-little carried away.” You looked down, oblivious to the fact that Daniel had blushed too, “Um, it’s ok-okay,” he stuttered, “I think you’re pretty good at being pretty too.” He smiled at you (A/N: *insert smile from the image in my previous post but without the hand*).
The two of you rounded the corner into the Why Don't We household, when Daniel suddenly stopped. You stopped too, turning to him, “What’s wrong?”. He rolled his eyes chuckling, “It seems, y/n” he said, “as though the boys weren't sick at all,” he pointed to the window of the house, where you saw through the light, all the four boys, dancing around as Zach and and Jack jumped up, holding their video game controllers, “Oh my,” you chuckled, “Is it just me, or do you think this all was highly intentional.”
Daniel laughed as the two of you continued walking, Daniel unlocking the door to the house, “Knowing them, it was probably, very highly intentional.” You laughed, entering the house, behind him, holding the bag of food. “We got food, for you ‘sick’ children!”, Daniel joked, ‘air-quoting’ the word sick. You laughed, placing the bag of food onto the kitchen table as the boys rushed in, getting some food for themselves.
Zach grinned, taking a burger from the bag before sitting at the table, “So,” he said, “How was your date?”. Jonah choked on his food and he reached over, smacking Zach’s head, “Zach! You’re exposing the plan!”, he whisper shouted. You chuckled at them, “Your plan was already pretty exposed when we saw you through the window, playing video games,” you admitted. Corbyn threw his hands up, “I told you we should have closed the curtains!”.
“But for the record,” Daniel said, his hand, holding yours, under the table, “I think I speak for both of us when I say, the date was great.”. You blushed, nodding. Suddenly, your phone ringed. “Be right back,” you walked out of the kitchen, to take the call.
Jack high-fived Zach before turning to Daniel, “Just to be clear, this was my idea, so I do expect to be best man at your wedding!”. Corbyn added on, “Just to be clear, I planned it, so I do expect to be the godfather of your children, thank you, very much.”. The two walked out of the room.
Daniel groaned, “Seriously, Corbyn?!”. He looked at Zach and Jonah, “Do you two expect something too?”
Jonah shrugged, sipping on his drink, “Nothing much, just to have one of your children named after me,” he said casually, before walking out. Daniel sighed, “Should have seen that one coming.” He turned to Zach, “What about you?”. Zach grinned, “Nothing much,” he said, getting up, “Just to be able to drive your Tesla, whenever I want.” He walked out, leaving Daniel in the kitchen. “Zach, you can’t do that!”, Daniel laughed, shaking his head. His friends really were one of a kind.
You walked in, placing your phone back in your bag, “Hey, where did the others, go?”, you asked. Daniel turned to you, “To the doctor.” You laughed, walking up to him. “What do you wanna do?”, he asked wrapping his arms around you. You shrugged, resting your head on his chest, as he swung you slightly from side to side, “Dunno, what about you?”
“Would you mind if I showed you some music I was working on and we ate some food?”
You looked up at him, a big smile on your face, “I wouldn’t mind at all.”

how long did we sleep?
Tumblr media
A/N: i know it’s not perfect but i tried and this is my first fic by the way🖖🏻
Summary: after trip to Europe, you and your friends team up to celebrate MJ’s birthday, but something between her and Peter isn’t the same
Pairing: Peter Parker x reader
Warnings: not so massive Far From Home spoilers i guess???
You weren’t the type of girl who desired to be popular in school. You liked staying after lessons to study in a computer class or practice in labs to check some of your designs . Despite that, you were a real badass. You liked sneaking out at nights to go to the parties or hang out with your friends. You enjoyed Central Park at night time more therefore you were stargazing there almost every night. You liked staying in the hidden place in the library until the very late hours to be able to read in silence and absence of others and then exiting through the broken window. And you also really appreciated your family and loved spending time with them.
You knew you were hard to understand but you didn’t need anyone to do it or tell you compliments.
You hear the bell ring and rush towards the hall to the bathroom.
She is never late so she must be in the class already and you have some time before you meet her.the teacher will probably be annoyed at you for being late again but you decide to finish what’s more important to you right now.
You put the cup of coffee and your bag on the bathroom sink.
“I am very very very sorry” - you write on the inner side of the book cover you bought for your best friend - “Sorry i became your friend only a year ago. You’re the bestest friend i ever had. It’s a fact. And imma be late for the physics class but i’m just hoping your smile would be worth it. MJ,thank you for being glowing, smart af,genuine, indescribable and rEaL friend for me. i love you”
You take a black ink pen to add some hearts and write a post scriptum
“P.s. i was searching for this book a lot for you and i hope you love it”
you close the book, lace it with a black ribbon and write on a coffee cup “happy birthday, hmmmmMJ”
You and MJ. Your friendship started as unexpectedly as you saw her reading your favorite book at the party. You approached to her and that was the moment you both felt something new - how do they call it?oh yes - soulmates thing.
You two are literally soulmates - MJ sees you through and understands you perfectly, you do the same. You’ve changed a lot since you became MJ’s friend and you’re pretty sure this change was an improvement.
You put the book in the bag, take the coffee and catch a glimpse of your reflection - girl in the mirror smiled and was looking excited about making her friend happy.
You leave the bathroom and examine the hall in search of the principle. Your eyes didn’t find anybody so you start quickly heading to the class at the same time checking on your watch.
Well,I’m late for just 3 minutes,I can praise mysel-
The moment after you look at the time once again, you bump into someone and close your eyes as you feel like the cap from the coffee cup has fallen down.
You silently swear and pray it’s not principle. You open your eyes and see Peter’s perplexed face and chuckle.
“God damn Peter watch yourself”You smile pretending to be mad at him and raise free arm to hug him.
You and Peter. You two got very close as you started hanging out with MJ. At first, you knew Peter as a boy MJ was at one Decathlon team at,than the boy she seemed to have feelings for and only then you got to know him personally when he and mj started dating.
He appeared to be very cute and kind-hearted and you couldn’t deny he was attractive to you. But you knew he was already into SoMeOnE and SoMeOnE was also kinda attracted. Generally, you got to know him in Europe trip and generally, the same time he and Michelle confessed their feelings to each other. They started dating bu you remained good friends and so did you,Ned and Peter. Ned and you were pretty sure there was something Parker and MJ were hiding about their relationship that might have happened between them but you didn’t demand to know about it.
Oh and you knew Peter was Spiderman. To be honest, you were not surprised as you and MJ have noticed his strange behavior a long ago but when he confessed it to you everything became explainable.
Parker hugs you back and sets the coffee cap back to the cup. When he holds you close, you can feel his chest moving fast and you can tell he was in a hurry. Again.
“Is everything okay?”You ask softly as you make sure the coffee hasn’t been spilt.
Yeah,I just missed a bus”He smiles and fixes his hair. and you wish you could run your fingers through these curls as they were the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. But there was already someone else who had the right to do it. And being aware of that made you shiver inside every time.
“Don’t tell me you’ve been running your way to school” you playfully frown
Peter imitates he rolled his eyes and asks you if your gift was ready.
“It is and it’s all cool to talk but we seem to be late” You answer with a smile on your face
“Yeah yeah sure”
His hand suddenly touches yours while you walk towards the class next to each other. You can feel your heart skip a beat and wonder why you even feel this. Peter looks at you without turning his head but you pretend to stay calm and look straight . And that’s why you can’t notice slight blush on Peter’s face and a little sparkle in his eyes.
——————
You open the class door, apologize to the teacher and quickly take your place next to MJ. You wink to Ned and look at the birthday girl. She is sitting still but you can tell by her smile she is glad to see you. You carefully pass her the coffee and watch her eyes shimmer and smile widen as she reads the words written on the cup.
“Happy birthday, cutie” You say and blow her a kiss
She chuckles and whispers quite thank you when Peter rushes into the class according to your plan which included not to show up to the class late together.
“I-I’m sorry,Mr.Clark,I was late for the bus so I -”
“Stop excuses,Mr.Parker, and take your place,We’re all used to your lateness. As much as we are used to Y/N’s one” The teacher looks at you and you silently pray he’s not going to say what he was going to say
“I think it’s time for you both to pay for your morning sleep and stay after the lessons”He sentences
“No!” You both blurt”Please not today, maybe tomorrow?it’s very important ,we can’t stay today, please!”Mr.Clark stops Peter’s begging with shaking his head and continues the lesson.
You press your palms to your face and sigh deeply, then you look at Peter who seems to be as disappointed as you and finally,MJ.
She looks a bit worried but whispers”Don’t worry,we can figure it out”
As the lessons ends, you stand up quickly and hug Michelle. “I’m really sorry” you say pitifully “But I think Peter and I can skip today’s detention, right?” You look at Peter and he nods at once after placing Mj a kiss on her cheek.
“No,no,guys, you don’t have to”Michelle says “I wanted to tell you that my “party”(she imitates quotes) is being put off”
“What?”Ned says loudly
“Yeah,my parents want to spend time with me. I’m not saying we’re not having fun today. I’m just suggesting you to meet 2 hours later. Will you be able to?”
Three of you nod and you sigh with relief.
“Okay,I’m going to French and you boys better buy your gift already”
MJ chuckles and Peter slightly kicks your shoulder when you walk by.
—————————-
When the lessons are over, you meet MJ to make sure if everything okay and then head to detention room.
Peter is already sitting there and you sit next to him. He smiles when he sees you and you smile back and feel really warm inside.
You open the bag and show him the pack of sour patch. Parker grins and tries to quietly move his desk close to yours.
There is no one else but almost sleeping teacher in the room so you two start talking loudly about your favorite movies and end up finding out that your mutual favorite film was «Men in Black».
You chuckle “Yeah and I really didn’t want J to erase K’s memory”
«I know,that was unexpected. Um,Y/N?”
“Yes?”
“Would you like to team up this weekend and kinda rewatch the trilogy?”
“Movie night at Parker’s?Sure, sounds cool”it does sounds cool and all but you hesitate about what mj was going to say
“Sure?” He asks a bit shyly
“Sure as hell!” You smile and pretend to look at your phone to hide your excitement
Then you frown and ask like it’s not something you do care about but deep in your heart you know you do “Should i tell MJ and Ned?”
Peter keeps silence for a second and then says while running his fingers through his hair nervously
“A-Actually I thought - I thought they don’t like this movie”
You look at him and smile, then nod and check on time while the heat is rising from your toes to your head and then fills your whole body with excitement and you smile again, even wider now.
“Hey,I guess we’re free” He tells you pointing at the teacher who is already asleep. You eat the last sour patch bear and stand up quietly.
——-
You and Peter live not really far from each other, that’s why he decided to walk you to your house. You have never been at Peter’s and he has not visited your house yet but he often walked you to the doors and hugged you and this cuddles could lift you up for the rest of the day. Today was not an exception. You agreed to meet in half an hour to go to MJ’s place together.
When you come in,you hear the smell of melting cheese and go to kitchen to kiss your mom. You warn her that tonight’s MJ’s birthday and you’re going to be late.
She nods and gives you a sandwich that you bite as you go to your room. You choose to wear something casual so youtake off your Y/F/C(your favorite color) hoodie and put on Y/P/C(your preferred color)tie-die t-shirt and jeans(idk whatever u like to imagine)
The gift for MJ is still in your bag and you take it as you go to the bathroom.
———
When it’s time to meet up with Peter,Ned and Betty you all get a message from MJ that the picnic you have planned is still in you schedule so you guys start heading to her house.
Betty was your another close friend, though not as close as any of the guys. She was super nice and cute and that’s why Ned extremely liked her. You could tell Ned has changed a lot to the better and that was an obvious sign of the good impact of the relationships for you.
While you’re in the subway, you teach Ned how to do the hand sign(🖖🏻) from Star Trek and once you looked at Peter,he was always looking at you. You thought to yourself you were overthinking and try to forget this. Every time you wanted to think he really felt something for you,you couldn’t help but feeling guilty for doing this to Mj’s boyfriend. So you tried to wash these thoughts away.
When you get to the destination, you see MJ waving to you with the bag full of food. She looked very happy and it made you even happier. As you see her,you run to her and hug her and everyone else does the same as they approach.
———
When you settle down your picnic rug on the grass under the tree next to Michelle’s apartment and set all the beverages and snacks,Betty clears her throat and says enthusiastically “Time for presents”
MJ stands up and you beat your knees with your hands. “Should I start?” You ask everyone and when they nod,you go on
“Michelle,it’s my first your birthday and I’m glad I’m here with unbelievable you and you guys. Um, I’ve never had a friend like you, yeah, and speeches are definitely not my cup of tea,but i know for sure, that you are great, beautiful and kind person and you deserve everything you think you don’t and more”
You see her smiling and lean closer to hug her and whisper in her ear quite “I love you” and she nods with the happiness in your eyes and it’s the best thing you have ever seen.
Everyone else congratulated MJ with their gifts and hugged her and everyone was joyful. But there was one thing that bothered you - when Peter and Ned were embracing Michelle, you could notice that Parker hugged her differently. Not the way he hugged you. When you two were hugging,he was holding you tight and for a long time. His hug with MJ seemed way shorter but you decided not to overthink again. But it kept bothering you throughout the night.
———-
During the party, you were eating fruits, listening to music and talking about some stupid things. You saw MJ happy and you felt admired by how happiness suits her face.
Somebody suggested taking polaroids so you all were changing poses while some tourist was making photos. He made about 20 different polaroids and you decided that MJ is going to take them home to choose and then give some of them to her friends.
——-
When the sun set,you started packing things to go up at MJ’s apartment and have a movie night.
You discussed everyone’s wishes and decided to binge-watch first season of Stranger Things.
You settled blankets, pillows and snacks on the floor and Ned put on the show.
You were sitting between Betty and MJ,Peter was sitting on the left side to MJ.
You loved the atmosphere that was in the room and looked down to pick up another nacho and expected to witness MJ and Peter holding hands as they did as often as possible. But to your surprise they weren’t. Moreover, they were not even leaning closer to each other which made you wonder.
In 15 minutes,Ned saw Betty yawning and suggested changing positions for her to lay down comfortably. You appeared to sit next to Peter and MJ which made your nerves tingle. Michelle took the polaroids from her pocket and started checking which of them were good. Parker offered you the last nacho in the bag and when you perplexedly accepted it he got up and approached the trash can in the corner of the room to throw the empty packs.
Suddenly, you feel MJ grab your wrist and pulling you with her
“Don’t pause the episode,we’ll be right back” she said happily while taking you with her out of the room and closing the door.
“Um,is everything okay?” You ask looking puzzled
“Even better! Let me tell you something” Michelle took you to the kitchen and you sat on the counter still wondering what on earth made MJ leave her favorite show playing.
“So”she started excitedly “I was browsing through polaroids we took and found this”
She handed you the picture of five of you standing in front of MJ’s house while hugging each other. It was taken the moment you noticed Ned’s hat wasn’t his,but Mr.Harrington’s and he changed them by incident so all of you were laughing. It was really pure but you still didn’t get what MJ so head over heels
And then
You laid your eyes on Peter. He wasn’t standing next to you,but he was looking at you. When everyone was looking at camera,he was looking at you. The wind was playing with his curly wonderful hair, the warm smile lit his face and his eyes were directed at you. Was it affection inside them? Love? You didn’t know
But was eager to.
“MJ,this pic is awesome and I look less gross than always here but what is it supposed to mean?”
“Look, things weren’t good for me and Pete lately” she joined you on the counter and put her hand on your lap “We both don’t think we should continue pretending to be a couple when we’re not anymore.”
“What? Uh,does it mean...?”
“Yeah,it’s over” she said with no drop of disappointment on her face, but joy
“But...but why? What happened? Did he hurt you?”
“No,no calm down” MJ chuckled “I’m just not that into him anymore. And when i talked to him,he confessed the same. I mean”she continued seeing your perplexed face “we mean a lot to each other but it doesn’t work the same way it did. It’s fine, really,we both moved on.”
“Wait-You too?”
“Yeah,i got someone, but, nevermind,it’s not what we are talking about”
“And while you’re thinking it over” she leaned closer to you “ I don’t see a point in hiding your feelings for him anymore”
“No way we’re talking about this again” you raised your hands in your defense “You broke up and how can you know he’s not hurt and doesn’t want you back and- and how can you know he wants someone else? Someone else but you?” You asked more seriously
“Because the eyes,Y/N. They never lie” she winked at you and told to keep the polaroid to yourself
You wanted to stop her but she was already gone with a wide smile on her face.
You covered your face with your hands and smiled inside them like in a pillow. Then you jumped off the counter and headed to the room with Michelle’s words pulsing in your temples.
————
You opened the door and saw Betty and Ned snoring on each other’s shoulders. MJ was telling something to Peter as his eyes widened and a wide smile appeared on his face.
You took a deep breath and squeezed your eyes which you used to erase the blush from your cheeks.
You walked in and Peter stood up the moment you closed the door.
“I-I,ugh-I remember we planned spending the night in here and I’m sticking to the plan,I just need to go out for a second or two to buy coffee,I don’t feel so good(*) and I guess fresh air and coffee is the only thing I need right now, huh” You tried to look calm and even tried to chuckle but ended up having a flimsy grin on your face. “Do-do you mind?” You asked, more to MJ,not trying to look Peter straight in his eyes. “I can buy coffee for every one so we can survive the night?”
Pathetic. Your main rule was to never look pathetic and that was exactly how you looked. At least you thought so
“Yeah, sure,no problem. I’ll text you then which coffee guys would want to.” Michelle saw you through. She knew you just wanted to leave for a minute to calm your nerves and she understood you.
You smiled to her and forced yourself to smile to Parker, then left the apartment with nothing but your phone and hoodie Peter gave you as it was cold outside.
————-
You were sitting in front of the coffee shop for 10 minutes now, trying to analyze everything. You didn’t know what made you so nervous but you felt like it was bursting inside of you and you couldn’t help it. You felt even more pathetic for leaving although your motto was to never run from the problems but face them. But tonight you felt like it was necessary for you to take a break from being powerful and independent.
You took a sip of the night air, looked up at the stars and realized how small and shitty your problems were and suddenly you calmed down.
If Peter likes you, then he will do something himself. You like him for forever but never noticed any signs of mutual attention. You craved him for so long and he always craved someone else. You told yourself that if you feel like it tonight, you will tell him. Tell him about it and then probably jump out of the window and disappear. Or lock yourself in the bathroom. Yes. The latter would work.
You chuckled and walked into the shop with joy on your face.
“Um,I’ll have two capuccinos, two lattes and one iced coffee with double ice, please”
“Double ice?” Barista grinned
“Yeah,I kinda like the cold”
“Twenty four fifty” the barista claimed
“Sure,her-“
“I’ll pay” you hear the voice behind your back
“Pete?” You frown and smile to the awesome cute hot curly chocolate boy in front of you
“Hey” he rubs the back of his neck, while he’s in a black t-shirt that shows his muscles “Do you feel better?”
“I think so. I like to think this happened because i had too much fun today”
“Then this should happen to me every time I’m with you”
You blinked and felt the burning desire to hug him really hard.
Instead, you smiled and with hesitations ran your fingers through his hair.
He looked at you with admiration and gently grabbed your wrist.
“I- I really think we need to talk”
“Yeah-yeah, we do”you burst out laughing
——————
You walked out of the coffeeshop and he stopped you by tapping your shoulder.
“Look,Y/N,I-“
“I like you,Pete” you interrupted and was brave enough to look into his eyes “I’ve been acting so pathetic lately but it’s just because I couldn’t keep it from you any longer. You’re the sweetest boy I ever met. I like your crazy hair that you hate. I love our hugs because they make my days.Your smile is like actually the best smile ever” you laughed and continued “You’re a genius, you’re so smart, you’re kind-hearted,you help people and you’re just you. That’s why I like you. Yes, I like you. And it doesn’t mean you should tell me you like me back as i don’t want your words to be fake. It’s fine if you don’t feel the same way and I would gladly stay your friend for the rest of my life” you finished and took a sip of coffee to regain bravery.
Peter looked at you with sparks in his brown eyes and smile on his lips and started
“I like you too,Y/N, a lot. Thank you for telling me all of this but- You’re not pathetic, being yourself and having emotions and feelings isn’t pathetic, alright? ”
You nodded
“I extremely like you and I’m being 100% genuine to you. I’ve never met anyone like you”
and before you could understand it,he kissed you
Peter Parker kissed you and you never knew you needed it that much.
—————————
You came to MJ’s apartment holding hands and none of you ever wanted to let this moment slip away.
When MJ saw you two she smiled and made an impression of fainting. You laughed and hugged her whispering “thank you so much for making me do this step”
“Me? yes,it was me,will you make me your bridesmaid?”
You continued watching the episode laying on Peter’s shoulder and holding his hand. He seemed carried away by the joy of finally being with someone he truly loved.
He kissed your temple right when sleeping couple of Ned and Betty on the right stood up
“Wait,how much did we sleep?”

Steve was okay with rejection.
Mostly.
Living most of his school and college life as a small, scrawny boy, people wouldn’t even look at him the second time and he was fully aware that he didn’t stand a chance for romance. A man with a skinny body like him wasn’t exactly...boyfriend material, no matter how much Bucky told him that people didn’t deserve him if they couldn’t see beyond his physical body. “If they couldn’t see your big heart and great personality, then they miss out so much, Steve,” he cheered him up one day after a ruined date. Then again, Bucky was his best friend, of course he would be biased.
And the slow growth spurt finally did a thing to Steve. He didn’t grow that extremely big or something, but he put on some weight and couldn’t exactly small or scrawny anymore. After working out together with Bucky (since his best friend insisted), people started to notice him and tried talking to him. As time went by, he was aware how people wanted to know him now because of his proper look now. To be honest, it was hurting him more than it already had, because he was sure that people began to notice because of his look now. He got a few more best friends like Bucky he could count on, sure, but not people who wanted to be a serious relationship with him.
So far, he didn’t have any luck finding someone who was interested not in his body, but to who he truly was. Until now.
Despite Bucky’s warning a few times, meeting Morgan on a dating site (he was desperate, alright?) was one of the best things ever happened to him. Steve deliberately didn’t put any of his pics on the sites, to see if Morgan was interested in his personality alone, not his body. And after a few chats and calls, maybe some pics trading as well, he decided that Morgan liked him alright, just the way he was. And he was happy, he really was.
Until, they decided to meet for the first time on a date, and he got a message from Natalie.
[ txt: Natalie R. ] is this the morgan guy you’re talking about? [ txt: Natalie R. ] you’re not gonna like it, but [ Natalie R. sent you a photo ] [ txt: S. Rogers ] what the fuck Nat? [ txt: Natalie R. ] Morgan. I’ve checked him to make sure he’s legit a person. Yes, he’s real, but he’s a douchebag as well. A playboy or sort, already got himself a few victims. Here’s a few links to Facebook you can look up to see what he’s doing. He doesn’t even bother to lock them up from public access or made it a secret. [ txt: S. Rogers ] wtf Nat why are you doing this?? I didn’t need you to spy on him like this! [ txt: S. Rogers ] you saying this guy, who wanted to go on a date with me the first time, is actually two-timing me with someone’s else right now? Is he actually lying to me? [ txt: S. Rogers ] talk about bad timing, Nat. can’t you wait until my date is over? [ txt: Natalie R. ] and let him play with your heart and break it into pieces afterward? I don’t think so
She got a point, though.
But he reassured himself that this was a misunderstanding and checked the Facebook, out of curiosity. Yet Natalie was right. A few minutes ago, Morgan posted some pictures of himself alongside a woman he never knew. After giving a few scroll, despite his brain telling him to stop torturing himself like this, Steve kept going, to the picture where they kissed like a lover, with some hashtags on the caption like #dating #girlfriend #bestgirl and a few sort of those varians. He would be lying if this didn’t already break his heart almost instantly.
[ txt: Natalie R. ] I’m sorry, Steve. I know I’m being a jerk right now. But I can’t let that guy ruined my best friend like that. [ txt: S. Rogers ] doesn’t matter. He already late for our date anyway and he looked happy enough with his girlfriend. Good for him. [ txt: Natalie R. ] how long have u been waiting now? [ txt: S. Rogers ] 3 hours at supposed to be our meeting point, I think. He didn’t read my messages or pick up the calls I made anyway. I’m gonna cancel the reservation now and go back home and moping, maybe [ txt: Natalie R. ] damn it. I will kill him for you if you wish for it, Rogers [ txt: Natalie R. ] I’m so sorry. Should I call Bucky to pick you up? I’ll call Sam to come over tonight too [ txt: S. Rogers ] no, don’t. I just want to be alone tonight [ txt: Natalie R. ] tomorrow, then. And no buts. We’ll come tomorrow to get you [ txt: S. Rogers ] ok [ txt: Natalie R. ] I’m sorry Steve, I knew you’ve been looking forward to this [ txt: S. Rogers ] it’s ok. I’ll live
There were a few more messages from his friends, but Steve didn’t bother to read them. He did send another message to Morgan, ‘lose this number’, before blocking him for good. He put his phone into silent mode and put it back into his pocket, groaning as he rested his eyes on top of his fists. Biting his lower lip so hard to prevent himself from becoming a sobbing mess in public because currently, he was in the little park near the main streets, waiting for someone who would never come.
He wasn’t going to cry this time, dammit. He knew he was out of luck with relationship and romance after all this time. Mainly because of his look before, no one even bothered to look at him when he was still scrawny. And now? People didn’t even care to get to know him at all and only after his body. And when he thought he finally could get a chance to be happy, somehow it would be ruined itself in the end before Steve ever tasted it first. For some reasons, the universe decided to give him all the assholes for his simple wish of love interest.
He didn’t want to blame his friends about this because they already warned it beforehand, but….
Steve worked so hard on this date, alright? He booked the restaurant with a front payment that cost a lot more than his few weeks overtime salary, he bought some new proper clothes to look as clean as possible, he even bothered to style his hair with Bucky’s gel that he still thought it stunk so bad. Heck, he even brought some flowers, no matter how cheesy and stupid it sounded like. He worked so hard to make the best impression, and Morgan didn’t even get a chance to see it. At all.
He was upset. He was allowed to be so upset about this.
Steve let out a shaky breath, a few tears already rolled out from his eyes and he angrily wiped them with his sleeves, but there were still coming and he hated himself for being so weak about this. He should be able to handle this kind of thing, he had been used to rejection or any other variations his whole life. But he was absolutely upset right now and he allowed himself to not care. Public attention would be damned.
He was so getting those Ben & Jerry’s big tubes once he calmed down.
* * *
That man was still there by the time the late board meeting finally finished and he blinked. Confused.
Tony had been looking—no, I’m not spying him, Jesus Christ, Pep—at the man who sat on the bench on that little park near his building. Since the meeting was on the second floor and the windows faced the said park, it was so easy to spot the blond from this room immediately.
It wasn’t his habit to observe people, to be precise, but he couldn’t help but look at the big blond down there. The man looked so nice and gorgeous with those suit, with hair neatly combed and styled, and there was a flowers bouquet sat next to the man. All the hints seemed obvious enough to him now.
Ah, waiting for a date, he thought. And whoever this man’s date was, they must be so lucky to have him.
Tony? Well, he didn’t have time or room for romance and shit, to be honest. His company needed him that much, that he didn’t bother looking for a loving partner, despite he was almost in his 40 sometime next year. He tried, a few times before, though sadly it didn’t come out as he expected.
Apparently, when you were working in the Stark Enterprise as the CEO, people would be (1) expecting you to be like what’s the media had told them about, or (2) looking many ways to get juicy gossips or his money. Been there, done that, and Tony had enough with people not looking the real him, but always licking his ego and maybe his feet sometimes to get his money and got the power they wanted inside the Stark Enterprise. And Tony wanted none of those bullshits in his beloved company he worked so hard for years.
But that didn’t mean he wasn’t lonely, though. Hell, he actually craved for a committed relationship. Seeing how nervous yet genuinely happy that blond was, even though it was hard to tell since Tony was high up inside the building and his eyes weren’t as good as they were now, became a reminder that Tony probably needed that sort of thing as well.
Dating, God...he never thought about that for years now. Too busy working himself for the sake of the company. Even Rhodey said to him that he should get laid sometimes, to lighten up his boring life. But he couldn’t, not after what people usually saw him as a sort of celebrity who needed to be praised all the time in order to be on Tony’s good side.  No, he didn’t need that kind of relationship, at all.
“Mr. Stark, are you listening to me?”
“YES. Yes, I am, still listening alright. You may continue,” Tony sighed, didn’t realize that he was staring from behind the windows that long. The directors gave him the look, but decided to let it go and continued where they left. Right, meeting. Tony should focus more on this one rather than being a creep and staring at the cute blond at the park. Whoever he was, Tony wished him to have a good date, maybe a stable relationship too eventually.
Apparently, the man was still there after the meeting was over. And Tony was utterly confused. It had been, like...what? A little 2 or 3 hours since the last time he saw the blond, shouldn’t he be with his date and went somewhere else instead of sitting on that same bench? He furrowed his brows, looking from the windows to see what exactly happened properly, now that the meeting was over and people already left the room.
It was still hard to make it from here, and it was getting dark to see the blond properly. But all Tony could make it was the man seemed furiously typed with his phone for a few minutes, before he finally made some sort of motions and gestures that Tony translated mentally as...things didn’t go smoothly for him.
Hell, Tony was sure the man was actually crying right now, with those wiping motion with his sleeves. And it would be a lie that it didn’t make Tony felt bad for him.
The blond was probably looking forward to this whatever date he planned. And maybe the date stood him up? How dare. The man was fine, absolutely gorgeous to Tony’s book. Anyone who stood him up should be ashamed of their doing. Tony might just know him for a few minutes, an hour top since the last time he was being a creep and observed the man, but he was pretty sure that this blond was doing his best for the first impression. Even the flowers, man, it was so cute and didn’t think anyone would still do that these days.
So Tony didn’t understand why this man was getting stood up in the first place, and he felt sorry for him. So much that he thought of doing something so stupid just to make the man felt better. Or smile, that would be a lot better.
Sorry, Pepper, for giving you yet many paperwork and PR later on, he thought, and made a dash to outside of the building, going to the park to meet the man face to face.
* * *
He wasn’t sure how long he had been sitting on the bench, while quietly sobbing like a little kid. But his eyes were getting hurt as he wiped them again roughly. Maybe he should’ve gone with the handkerchief to wipe them, and now his suit was partially wrinkled and his sleeves were wet because of his doing. Steve winced at the mess he made, but again, he could care less about that. It still didn’t make him feel any better, though, but at least he wasn’t crying anymore now.
Sighing loudly, wiping down his cheeks for good measure, Steve looked at the pathetic little flowers bouquet he brought with him and let out yet another sigh. They were all beautiful and would be such a waste if he threw them into the trash can. His late Ma would scold him for it, but it was too painful to look at the flowers now.
He picked them up and was going to throw them into the nearby trash, but stopped when a man approached him.
“Hey, darling. I’m so sorry I’m late!” the man said, looking a bit exhausted due to...what? Running? Something else? But that didn’t really matter, because Steve was too confused to begin with.
“I’m sorry, what—”
“Ooooh, you brought me flowers? Aww, you really shouldn’t have, thank you, sweetheart,” the man actually took the bouquet from Steve and carried it lovingly. Still, on the brink of confusion, Steve narrowed his eyes and the man just winked at him, mouthing something like ‘play along’.
Well, then, two could play the game.
“How could I not? You deserve all the beautiful things in the world, honey.”
The man looked like he wanted to laugh but suppressed it well. Instead, he was grinning at Steve. “Well, aren’t you such a keeper. Very smooth, darling, I already like you even more now.”
And honest to God, he just saw and met this man right now, but he sure could make Steve blushed so hard. “What can I say? I’m pretty likable,” he said sheepishly, trying to keep up with the game, and the man simply laughed.
“Aww, sure. You’re pretty, I’ll give you that. Now, come along, we already late for our dinner together,” the man said, casually taking Steve’s arm and led him away from the park and too many people around there. Just when they entered a quiet street, Steve finally spoke again.
“So, I knew that you’re not supposed to be my date for tonight. But who are you exactly and why are you doing this? Is this some kind of prank?“
The man flinched and released Steve’s arm, but kept walking on his side slowly. “No, of course not. It was just—would you be angry if I said that I couldn’t bear to see you sad like that?”
“What do you mean?”
“Right, maybe I should start from the beginning,” the man turned around to face Steve now. “Hi. My name is Tony, and apparently, I can see you from the meeting room inside my building a couple of hours ago and I got curious. Judging from your clothes and the flowers, I assumed you were supposed to be going on a date with someone, but that certain someone was somehow...did not appear in the end. And you looked so sad about that, and people looked at you funny when you were crying—hey, no, that’s okay. I didn’t mean to judge you. I, too, will cry if I were you, you know. We have our moments. But anyway, I can’t handle to see you looking so sad like that, and maybe I sort of didn’t want to make you looked embarrassing, so I guess why the heck not doing anything to cheer you up?”
Steve raised his eyebrow, “You mean, you saw me when I was waiting for my douchebag date from wherever you were before and decided to jump in and play the non-existence date for me so I wouldn’t be so embarrassed and looked sorry about my failed date?”
“...when you said it that way, somehow it sounded like a stupid idea. That wasn’t my intention—”
Called him exhausted both physically or mentally, but Steve shouldn’t be laughing this hard. What was even his life anymore? A guy somehow took a pity on him and actually played as his very late date to make him feel better about him? That was absurd. Steve knew he should feel offended by this situation, but he didn’t. And the man—Tony—sounded genuinely worried about him too, despite they just met a few minutes before.
“Okay, wow. You freaked me out now, darling. You sure you okay there?”
“No, no I’m not,” he said between his laughter, tears began to form again but at least this wasn’t because he was sad. Again, he wiped his eyes and huffed, regaining his compose. “God, this is really weird. I was planning to just come home after buying a big tub of ice cream, eating the whole thing while watching bad movies at home, but this—this was actually something that I didn’t expect at all.”
“A good kind of weird, I hope? If not, I’m really sorry for overstepping the boundaries. I know we’ve just met and we didn’t know each other, but uh...you can tell me to scram if you—”
“Tony,” Steve spoke, effectively shutting the man up and he simply smiled. “Hi, my name is Steve. And I know this is such a weird situation you apparently initiated—no, don’t try to deny it—but thank you for your...I don't know, help, I guess? I was so upset about it but now I don’t because of you. And you said something about dinner?”
Tony blinked, stayed quiet for a while before smiling widely.
“Yes, I did. How’s cheeseburgers sounded to you, Steve darling? I could eat some cheeseburgers right now. And, you know, maybe getting to know to each other, all that jazz? How’s that?”
Steve laughed, feeling more at ease as he talked to Tony.
“Sure, why not? Lead the way, honey.”
And here’s hoping this could be a start of something more beautiful for both of them.

Hello world, this is me. Recently, I've been dealing with quiet a bit of depression in this head of mine. Depression I know I can beat and get out of, eventually. But for now.. I'm just really in a dark place. I fell into this crazy deep hole in my head when I was told by a friend an ex of mine had passed away. My ex was my first "boyfriend" he was the first person I told my secrets too and held extremely close to my heart. He actually even took my virginity lmfao so he was really my first everything. But most importantly, he was my first love, my first best friend who I knew actually gave a damn. He was even the first boy I took home to meet my family. We were young when we met. We actually met at a friends birthday. I thought he was cute, but, I was an awkward child and he was the cute goofy kid. A few girls were all over him, talking to him, sitting on his lap, sharing drinks. I didn't want to step up and speak to him, I wanted to observe him. Something happened. I was sitting with my friend Brandi and a boy we were both friends with Kyle, joking around making sex jokes and Kyle drawing penis drawings on everything. I remember he saw Kyle's drawing on a ballon and saw us cracking up. He came over and sat down with the birthday girl at our table. Before I knew it, he was right in front of where I was sitting at the table. Then before I knew it he was sitting next to me, and we were chatting away. Giggling about dumb thing and how others were acting. He was such a big ball of energy I was so attracted to him. This was a birthday party I didn't even want to go to. I felt awkward the whole time. I didn't know anyone. It wasn't till I met him and I spoke with him that I didn't want to leave. After that.. he was gone. I didn't see him again. I went on in life thinking about that kid but never asking anyone about him. I finished out that school year and went on to get a summer job. I was a "locker girl" at a water park. It was my first job. I basically was a cashier who sold lockers only really. My job was definitely for the loner kids. I worked alone. Barely spoked to others. Doodled most of my day away. But it was my first job so I was very content. One day I was just clocking in and released the girl from the morning shift. I got settled and was looking out on the grounds, people watching which was my norm. I swear I saw an orb of gold come down the stair surrounding this person. He was smiling ear to ear joking with another life guard. He had bright blue eyes that were so piercing I almost thought I was making this person up. He literally had sky blue eyes and a smile that was so white they looked like the clouds in the sky. The gold orb was like the sun's rays. I was in awe. I was so confused when this angel like person stop at the end of the stairs and started walking my way. Right when I stopped appreciating "the view," and right before it was directly infront of me I was hit with what felt like an 18 wheeler. In my head I was like "holy shit.. that's.. that's him." He came over smiling, biting his life guard red whistle, trying to be all smooth. "Hey don't I know you from?". Is all I heard. I was shook. I giggled and said "yeah that's me!" Smooth right? I quickly fixed myself from falling off my chair without loosing eye contact. We chatted a little. I ended up being filled with so much anxiety speaking to him that playing with my pen was the only thing that made me feel okay. The only negative part of that, was when it flew out of my hand hitting him not only once, but twice! He was nervously giggling which made me actually feel a little bit better knowing I wasn't the only one nervous. A few conversions later we exchanged numbers. I remember being the ballsy one saying "we should hang out sometime." He agreed immediately. That sometime to him, was that day after our work shift. I wasn't going to say no even with my butterflies making me feel awkward but excited. We ending up going to Ventnor City beach in New Jersey. I actually even know where we sat in the sand exactly. It was sundown. We threw down towels and just sat there and spoke to each other about literally anything that came to mind. He didn't try any moves. I didn't know if he even liked me or if this was an awkward friend hang out. When the sun went completely down leaving the sky black we decided we should get going. We were there for 3 or 4 hours just talking. When we were walking back my hand hit his (completely by mistake) I looked at him completely embarrassed, thankful we were in a dark area so he couldn't see my face bright red, and just giggled. The next thing I know he went to hold my hand. It was weird. My butterflies had left my stomach. They were all over my body. I felt like my heart was skipping beats. Swallowing my saliva felt like an obstacle. My whole body was just happy and it was happy with him. He hugged me goodbye and said he would see me later and went home. He texted me later that night telling me "you looked so beautiful tonight." We ended up starting to date soon after. He was already way advanced in relationships than I was. He didn't push anything though. It took two weeks for us to even kiss, and when we did, we had people cheer (we were at a party, we thought we snuck off enough). All my friends loved him. He fit right in my life perfectly and vice versa. We hung out every second and talked to each other constantly. Life was beautiful. I fell head over heels with this angel, that literally in my eyes, walked down the stairs of Gillian's water park straight into my heart. School started again, it was our junior year. We happened to have one class together. Mrs Ninfa, she taught history. It was his favorite class to write notes and doodle in. We sat next to each other talking threw the whole class. We were the class love birds in that class, it actually became a very funny joke, but we worked it! It was in that class I got my first detention. We were passing notes. He had a rough morning at home. He didn't come from the very best up bringing. Writing to me was an outlet for him to write me notes explaining things for me to understand. We were both very young, so, opening up threw notes helped him and that's what we did. One day Mrs. Ninfa saw him place a note on my desk. She said "give that too me right now." So I did. She said "I'm reading this to the class or you can both take detention right now." Of course knowing what his notes usually contained we both agreed to detention. We both went to detention and then spent the rest of the day together. We didn't really care about the detention. We got caught, so, that just taught us to be faster. We didn't stop writing notes and drawing each other doodles. We dated for a year straight and then had a rough couple months after the break up together. We had flaws in our relationship. He cheated on me and him being my first relationship I had completely lost trust. Being immature and young I thought "u cheat, I cheat, we're even." At the end I cheated and told him immediately. When I say immediately I mean it happened and I said "I have to text my boyfriend" I couldn't believe I had done that. Yes, he did cheat first and I did try to fix the relationship after but I felt such hurt and betrayal from him I couldn't. Even with the cheating he wanted to stay together. I said no. In my eyes you broke my heart, and now I broke yours, we needed to be apart. I was foolish and ran into a relationship with the boy I cheated on him with. I remember texting him while dating this boy and him saying "whenever you want to get back together, we can get back together" it's almost like he knew I regretted being with this new person. The new relationship of course failed. It was a joke of a relationship. I ran into a "bad boy" and started dating him basically right after. He found out who I was dating and reached out again saying the same thing. I told him we could be friends but to not bring that up. We ended up speaking a lot. He actually got into a new relationship. I wasn't hurt by this new relationship he was in but in the back of my head I did think "well what did you mean by whenever I wanted?" He looked happy again. I thought "Kelsey pull back from him.. let him grow and be happy" so, I did. Which now and even then I regretted. The relationship I was in was an abusive relationship. I didn't tell anyone about it. I hid it very well. There were times I wanted to reach out but the love I had for him told me "let him be happy, let him grow without you" so I kept it from my best friend in the dark. When things got real bad in this relationship his name kept popping up. At prom someone said his name to me. My heart jumped and I started searching for him. He wasn't there. At graduation, the girl in front of me went to his new school. She actually said "aren't you his girlfriend?" Even though I was not, she said he always talked about me like I was. I thought and actually hoped I'd run into him somehow. But I never did. The abusive relationship I was in turned into a very toxic abusive end. Cops were involved, a restraining order was issued, and I was lost. I was scared. I didn't want to leave my house in fear. I wanted to reach out but I didn't. It wasn't until I was in a new relationship that I reached out. He liked one of my Instagram posts so I was like "okay so he doesn't hate me." At this point he was dating the same girl for a while now. We spoke for a bit. He told me the good thing and I followed with only the good things. He didn't know about the abuse I was recently in for a very long time and I didn't know the bad happening in his life. We didn't focus on that. We didn't want each other knowing the bad. Threw out the years (8 years total after the relationship) we spoke at random times. Catching up on strictly the good. I spoke to him a month ago. I was laughing at the love notes I kept of his. He laughed and said he remembered writing them. It made me think "wow you really did love me if you can remember almost 10 years ago writing this." We kept it short which was unusual but now he was in a new relationship and I was in a serious relationship and was/am engaged so I wasn't going to continue or push not knowing how this one worked. I wish I did. I wish I told him what I want to now. I kept my pain and my hurt from him after our relationship and so did he from me. We left that conversion as our last. Our last conversion was reminiscing on our love notes, on our love, on us. It's weird I can still hear his voice. I keep having dreams of him. It hurts breaking up with your first love but having them pass away so young hurts even worse. His family told me after we broke up he continued to talk about me like I put the stars in his sky. I tried so hard not to cry at his service. It wasn't until I got home and was alone that I cried my eyes out. You passing was like getting hit again by that 18 wheeler. Just this time I wasn't meeting you, I was saying goodbye to you. I don't even think I said goodbye. I still feel like you're with me. I still message you on Snapchat as if you're going to answer. Sometimes I write you how I feel so you can read it even though you can't. I apologize a lot. I sort of blame myself for not being open to you knowing if I was you would have done the same. I know you loved me and I know we were two immature kids when we were together but what we had was real. "It's kinda cool knowing your first love actually loved you, huh?" - Was said to me at the service. I swear it felt like a stab in the heart hearing that and everytime I think of that I cry. To my real life angel. I'm sorry for all the pain you felt on this earth while you were here. I wish I could have done more. You were and are so loved. You changed my life in such a positive way you could never understand. I love you forever, Tyler E. Dale. 💙

Okay, it is a requested fic. I was at first really confused on how to make a bullying story, so again, i changed plot more than five times lmao and ended up with this one, which i think the most proper to be published.
And since i already write the trigger warning for this fic, i hope those who are underage and easily triggered with any forms of bullying will scroll this post through and enjoy yourself looking at silly videos or photos of our boys, Monsta X.
Hope you like it!
“You okay?” The blonde haired guy on the screen worriedly asked when he noticed something in your upper arms.
“Of– course. Why did you even ask, Hyukkie?” You awkwardly laughed. Not to him, but to yourself.
“That. I saw… your upper arm. That’s not you experimenting with make up again, isn’t it?” He brought his face closer to the camera.
“N–o. Why would I put make up on my arm, you silly?” Subtly, you tried to hide the blueish-purple mark he meant by rubbing it.
“Well, you did do that on your thigh, once.” He answered quickly.
“That’s for halloween, for God’s sake, Minhyuk.”
“Whoa– no need to be angry, (y/n)! I’m just saying.” He chuckled. “I remembered. Completely that it was for halloween, even though you ended up staying at the dorm, right?” You rolled your eyes at him and flattened your lips.
“Yes.” You answered lazily. “Oh, by the way, Minhyuk. Can we talk again later? I am soo hungry that I really need to eat something.”
“What time is it there?” The blonde looked like he’s looking at the small numbers on the upper right side of his laptop. “Here’s 1 pm so there must be–“
“Eight.” You saw him your cute Gudetama bedside clock. “How many time do I have to say this, Grandpa? I am 17 hours behind. I am from the past. You’re from the future.” You joked.
“Stop calling me grandpa, will you!” He scoffed. “You’re the one who always forgot about everything, including my birthday, which I have it every year.” He teased.
“Whatever, Minhyuk.” Rolling your eyes, you lowered the screen a bit. “Alright. I really have to go. Bye for now?”
“Bye, (y/n). I miss you!” The boy smiled brightly, but you just replied him with a short by before closing your laptop screen.
Sighing deeply, you looked at the reflection of yourself on the mirror you placed next to the door. A horrible mark that was too visible to anyone not to notice, took your attention.
“Concealer won’t help anymore.” You lulled your head back as you rubbed the still stinging bruise.
Breaking the silence in your dorm room, your phone vibrated. It was a text from your bestest best-friend, Lee Minhyuk. The blonde guy who just hung up on you on Skype.
What’re you cooking? Suddenly I feel hungry… but Kihyun is not home L
You closed your eyes for a couple of second, leaving the chat unreplied before you scrolled through your photos, looking for an old cooking picture to send it to him.
[PIC_1312]
There u go. The usual. The quickest. Because I have group meeting in an hour.
The chat was immediately read by him and in no second, a new chat is coming in.
Again?? Are you not fed up eating spaghetti?? Don’t you have side dishes in your fridge?? Meat?? Don’t you miss korean food??
Yes. Yes you do miss korean food. Yes you do want to eat foods from the place you spent years of your childhood in, but it’s just you’re either too tired to cook them or just too busy with college’s assignments.
Ignoring Minhyuk’s chat. You limped onto your bed and about to curled into a cocoon under your fluffy blanket when a loud knocking sound startled you.
“God.” You clenched your fist. Already know who was coming.
“I know you’re in there. Open up quick, turtle!” You sighed hearing her shrill voice.
“On my way.” You whispered. You didn’t want to shout back, because if that happened, the bruises is not going to be visible in your arm and legs, but also some other place on your body.
Opening the door, you tried to look as strong as you could. As if you didn’t have a tennis ball sized of bruises.
“I ran out of foods and my friends will be coming over tonight.” The girl who shared the same hometown with you looked at you intensely into your eyes. “I need 50 dollars.”
“Fifty?” Your eyes widened as you involuntarily let out a word from your mouth.
“Come on. Clock is ticking and I am waiting. You know I hate waiting and I know you know what will happen if you keep me waiting.” She leaned on the door frame with her arms crossed on her chest.
Biting your lower lip, you turned around to find your wallet.
There was only one bill left in it. Two twenty dollar bills and a ten dollar bill. “This is what I have left for this month.” You whispered.
Walked back to the door, you put a pitiful expression. “I ran out of money. Sorry.”
The girl scoffed and shook her head. “You know what I hate more than waiting?” she waited for your silent answer. “A liar.”
She barged into your room and began to looking for the thing she wanted. She walked straight to your desk, where she saw your wallet and immediately looked inside. “Oh, yes! You really don’t have money, do you?” She pulled out your last 50 dollars and threw your wallet.
“Pl–ease! That’s my last 50 dollars! Please, I don’t have anymore money, i’m begging you!” You began to cry, when she immediately shut you up by covering your mouth.
“Shut up! Don’t be so loud, you moron!” She said in a low voice, uncovered your mouth.
“Please–“ you kneeled down and keep begging at her.
“I’m saving for a trip to Vegas, because my dad won’t lend me the money. So, I keep all my allowance and i’m still taking this.” She stepped forward before she turned around and lowered yourself to the same level with you. “And this is for a liar.” Without mercy, she slapped your cheek, leaving a prominent red mark that made you squinted your eye due to the stinging feels. “Thanks, bitch!”
You dragged yourself, leaning to the nearest wall behind you, sobbing while covering the still red mark on your face.
This was not the first time she did this kind of thing to you. This happened since a year ago. Ever since you accidentally spilled some curry sauce on her t-shirt. But later you knew it was not the sauce on her t-shirt that made her mad, but coincidentally, she got dumped by her boyfriend and that day was actually her birthday, so… she just need a place to let out her anger and there was suddenly the unlucky you, tripped with your own shoelace and spilled some sauce. Fortunately, this girl you spilled the sauce on was hell popular, since her dad is running on entertainment business and she often hung out with lots of celebrities and you, unfortunately just a girl who left your hometown to get a better education, but didn’t manage to made lots of friends because of how how shy you are around new people. So, the girl successfully took advantage of that and made you as miserable as ever.
Your room was dark. Yes— you intentionally did that. You just wanted to be in a complete silence for awhile while sobbing under your blanket and thinking what did you do to deserve all this bullying.
You always were shy in back in those school days where you were still in Korea, but no one really bullied you— well, now you thought it was because Minhyuk was always there to stepped up in front of you and that he always was a cheerful mischievous little boy, so anyone would want to become friends with him. But now that he was miles away and was a popular kpop group member, you know he can’t always be there for you anymore.
Your phone vibrated,  breaking the silence between you and you. Grabbing your phone, you looked at the screen.
Hyukkie
6 Missed Call
You got 10 texts from Hyukkie
Quickly you turned off your phone and put it back on your nightstand.
Lying to him was better than telling things that have happened since you moved to the dorm and started college. You just didn’t want him to worry and want him to only focus on his work.
Days passed. Yes, you passed the rest of the month with the money you found between the pages of your book. It’s only 20 dollars but enough to fed you for two weeks by buying cheap instant noodles.
Joey, the korean-american girl who bullied you, didn’t show up at your dorm nor bullied you at campus, you didn’t know why, but that was rarely happened.
Throwing your books on the bed, you sat on your desk, flipping the screen of your laptop.
Just as soon as your Skype status turned into Available, an incoming call is up.
“Hiiiiiii!” It’s the blonde guy again.
“You’re at the company?” You asked, noticing the background. It was the practice room.
“A simple hi would do, but yeah, i’m at the company. We just finished rehearsing.” He threw himself on the couch and made himself comfortable.
“You must be tired.” You nodded.
“I am.” He put one arm behind his head. “(Y/n), actually there’s something I need to tell you.”
“And… what is that? You looked serious, i’m scared.” You chuckled.
“You know I have a month worth of free time until we begin again preparing for comeback,”
“Yes and?”
“Well, Jooheon told me that we should go to LA,”
“Seriously? Are you guys really going?” You became pretty excited and suddenly you heard Jooheon singing at the back, something that has the word LA in it.
“We… bought the tickets and—“
“Oh my God! When?” You almost jumped out of your chair from this great news.
“Uhm… tomorrow.”
“You must be kidding me. Why so suddenly?” Your eyes widened at this another unexpected surprise.
“Because we missed hanging out with you and want to see you really soon!”
“Ugh, so cheesy.” You rolled your eyes.
“Unnie, i miss you so much!” The youngest stole Minhyuk’s phone and started acting cute. Yes, he always called you unnie because you told him once that he was like a sister to you.
“I miss you too, sis. Oh my God are you guys really coming?”
“Is that I.M I see on the screen?” A girly voice startled you that made you quickly force closed your laptop.
Turning back, you’re just as shock as the girl who stood at your wide opened door. “E—h,”
“Was that I.M? Do you know them? Personally?” She walked in, eyes locked on your now closed laptop.
“They– uh it wasn’t him. I don’t— you know I.M?” You curiously asked.
Joey shook her head subtly, “Wait, so that really was I.M? From Monsta X?” She asked again. “You know them?”
“Joey, I need you to get out of my room, please.” You said. Hiding your laptop behind you. You never said more than a word to her before and this was the first time you did it. Right after you finished the sentence, you remembered that she’d be mad and started to bully you again.
“Wait, hold on. Just tell me the truth. You do or do not know Monsta X, personally?” She asked again, emphasizing the last word.
Both of you were silent for couple of seconds before you finally nodding slowly.
“Holy shit!” She held her own head, as if it was going to burst anytime soon. “I should tell the girls. Oh my God!”
She repeated Oh My God multiple times, while you just stood before her, looking at her in surprise, when suddenly, the idea popped up in your head.
“Jo, you do know Monsta X?” You carefully asked.
“Of course! They’re like the hottest boygroup nowadays, duh?”
“They’re coming to LA tomorrow.” You smirked, already sure that your idea will be a success. Joey’s eyes widened as if it was about to popped out of its sockets.
“Are you kidding me?”
“I’m just as surprised as you are, but I can make you meet them.”
“Holy fuck.” She covered her mouth. “How? Oh my God.”
“But you need to do one thing in return.”
“Yes, of course. Anything, you name it, i’ll give it.”
“Stop bullying me.”
Joey suddenly stop squealing and raised one of her eyebrow.
“That, I cannot do.” She turned into her usual self in less than a second. “You deserved to be bullied, excuse me, miss.” She turned around quickly and immediately left your room.
You were left in disbelief. You were wrong when you thought giving her a free pass to meet Monsta X would stop her from bullying you.
“Ugh, I hate my life!” You slammed the door before you jumped onto your bed.
Hyukkie, i’m sorry something came up. I had to go, so I hung up.
You replied his text that was received ten minutes ago, right after you roughly flipped down the screen.
Alrighty, we know you’re busy with college, (y/n) ;)
Oh, anywayyyyyyyyy
[PIC_5621]
WE’RE DONE PACKING! Can’t wait to see you!
You smiled as you look at the picture he sent you. Seven luggages ready to be carried far away from South Korea.
I’m stoked! See you boys!
p.s don’t forget to tell Changkyun to bring his milk. Baby should have enough milk on board
You hit the send button.
“It was 5 PM, the boys should’ve arrived already three hours earlier, but why none of them were replying to my texts?” You tapped your phone screen, waiting for at least one of them reply to your text when suddenly, one text did appear.
(Y/n)! Come down! We’re waiting at the bench near the entrance door.
It was from Minhyuk. Finally.
Entrance door?
You squinted your eyes.
Your dorm! We’re down here. Come on!
In just a second after you read his text, you grabbed your jacket and rushing down. And yes, seven beautiful boys whom you really missed were there.
“Hey, boys.” You greeted them with a big smile plastered on your face. All of them greeted you back and immediately gave you a hug one by one. “How’s the flight?”
“As always. Tiring.” Wonho fixed his beanie.
“By the way, (y/n), why did you never tell us that you have such cool friends?” Jooheon put his arm around your neck.
“Friends?” You repeated.
“Cool and beautiful.” Hyungwon added. “Speaking of the angels itself…” He shot his eyes passed you. Turning around, you were more than surprised to see who was walking.
“Sorry, to keep you waiting. There was line, so…” Joey smiled to all of the boys. “There you go.” She and her friends immediately gave them a refreshing americano. “Oh, (y/n). You’re finally here!” She hanged her arm around your neck. “Where were you? I tried knocking on your door.”
“U– uh,” you startled.
“Anyway, have you guys had lunch? I mean proper lunch, because I know airplane foods suck.” Joey took a step closer to the boys.
“Well, funny because we were about to ask you guys to join us and (y/n) for lunch,” Shownu collu answered. “So are you guys free?”
Joey looked at her friends, she was deadass smiling so bright, but was clever enough to change into a normal one.
“Of course we are plus, we know some good restaurants around here. So why don’t we go right now?” Joey led. Everyone was smiling, excited to explore LA without having a tour the next day.
“(Y/n),” Joey walked back to you. “You told me if you meet me with them, I have to stop bullying you, right? So why don’t we make another deal?”
“What is it?”
“Whoever stole their heart, is winning. If I win, I won’t stop bully you, but if you win, well, you got what you always wanted.”
You replied with a silence.
Winning their hearts? Is she kidding? I mean, I am friends with them for years. Is she killing herself?
“Deal.” You answered confidently.
“Well then,” she smirked. “Game on.”
