Must be a human form of a pokemon not just a human
Legendary is preferred but not required
Does not need to be an active character
Can provide multiple but I may only select one from each person
Do not need to be following me but it would be appreciated
There is no limit just know this may take a while and I may cut it off at some point

hewwo >:) 5, 6, and/or 7 for the pmd ask game? if another asker hasn’t requested them already :3c
Heyoo! :D
5. Which Pokemon from Gen 7-8 would you consider potential hero/partner options, outside of the regular Starter Pokemon?
I know this question is about Gen 7-8, but quick mention to Zorua! Would LOVE to see that little fucker as a hero/partner option in the future.
I think some good ones from Alola (excluding regional forms/variants) would be Rockruff, Mudbray and Fomantis? Rockruff is a pretty obvious answer, but I feel as if the latter two could have potential?
Galar's difficult; to me, I feel like I'd prefer most Gen 8 Pokemon as NPCs 😭 Going with Rookidee and Chewtle for now though!
6. Favourite Special Episode?
Special Episode 5 is an easy sweep for being just excellent in so many different aspects: narrative, overall place in the grand plot, focus on characters, setting, music, the quotes, Grovyle and Dusknoir just being Normal Enemies I Swear—the list goes on!
But I gotta give a mention to Here Comes Team Charm! It's not the most significant SE by any means and doesn't have any major implications for the main plot and its characters, but I need you to understand that hearing their theme for the first time had me do a double take to remember what game I was even playing??? LIKE WHY DOES IT ACTUALLY GO SO HARD THOUGH???
Spike Chunsoft where's the return of Team Charm because oh yeah they ALL have megas now LMAO
7. Favourite dungeon(s)?
Gonna rattle off one of my favourites from each of the games! (I think a large part of my decision-making was the dungeon's theme whoops)
Great Canyon was absolutely one of my highlights from Rescue Team! Nice place in the narrative, captured the feeling of the trek to Xatu really well. But it's definitely up in my rankings just for that theme alone- LIKE LISTEN TO THIS REMIX BY DRAZORLEAF
youtube
Okay this one may not be necessarily a favourite dungeon, but story time! When I was playing through Explorers for the first time (idk how I was able to go in blind in retrospect lol), I noticed that Crystal Crossing had Absol as a potential recruit! So I spent like a solid hour or more running through floors, trying to recruit one (because well. you know me.), and that was my very first experience and encounter with:
Something's stirring...
So yeah, thanks Crystal Crossing for letting me get an Absol, and also thanks for giving me Realization of the Horrors
Glacier Palace: Great Spire is absolutely CRIMINAL for having that godsend of a musical score and only lasting FIVE FLOORS. Makes sense that they didn't want to drag it out, and I think the overall impact of the track would have been lessened if they made the dungeon fighting itself a slog, but MAN what a fucking banger.
The Tree of Life dungeons are also both great; perfect OST for the moment, but also really darn nice visuals—the crackles/streaks of life energy in the environment were super pretty omg

Pokemon AG Watchthrough- Ep005- In The Knicker of Time!
We open with Ash fighting a random guy with a beedrill in the woods, standard dull opening tbh but that's okay, because this episode has a rather interesting, eclectic COTD to make up for the lack of. well. everything else 💖 (guys I promise that I adore AG).
A zigzagoon runs across the path after the opening battle and Max apparently has mad beef with zigzagoon??? Why is he frowning lmao.
Tumblr media
Anyways, Max is all "Yo, I never knew zigzagoon could get that big!" Note that this zigzagoon was running on all fours in a serpentine pattern on the ground between bushes and such. They're like oh cool it's just a big zigzagoon.
Tumblr media
Its pokedex picture..... Baby.,,,,,
So anyways, the big zigzagoon approaches the smaller zigzagoons, and in the words of Digoenes, "Behold, a man".
Tumblr media
Anyways, zigzagoon dude takes off the fursuit in favor of his regular clothes, and May assumes that the zigzagoon disguised itself as a human. I love all two of her braincells. Also her limited sense of personal space.
Tumblr media
Any PL fans here??? This is basically that scene from Diabolical Box where Luke tries to tear Inspector Chemley's face off, assuming it's a mask.
Anyways, Nicholai introduces himself and his questionable philosophies, such as "We thrive on communing with nature while exposing our knees", quote. We have met the first green-haired freak of AG!
May enters her first real battle with another trainer, which goes badly ❤️
Tumblr media
May, quote: "Knickerbockers. Naturalist. What is wrong with that guy?" I love how petulant she is in early AG, I'd forgotten how snarky she can get. She's so easygoing by the later seasons (which isn't a bad thing! I do really enjoy her characterization, but the snark is kinda funny ikdjfhdjkgjkhf).
Anyways, Nicholai made fun of Norman for raising such a shitty battler so Max is on a whole-ass revenge sidequest and is trailing him in the woods. Nicholai wants to catch a zigzagoon to beat Norman with (which. good luck bud), so Max gathers fruit to attract all the zigzagoon to the other side of the woods where Nicholai can't catch them. Good job, buddy. To be fair, this is exactly the kind of plan that I would expect a, like, seven year old to devise.
Tumblr media
Ash and co. catch up and disperse the zigzagoon. Zigzagoons are all still pissed off. This guy is now back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
May was right. What the fuck is this dude's deal ljfnkdgjkdf. Pied piper if it was weirder.
His costume is actually kind of terrifying with the hood back??? Zigzagoon's neck is, like, snapped, and his head is coming out of its tongue??????????
Tumblr media
Anyways, he catches his zigzagoon and makes more remarks about shorts and then Team Rocket Team Rockets all over the place, resulting in the explosion counter going up to 11.5.
POV: Me digging for things to talk about in early ag episodes.
Tumblr media
😀👍❓
Tumblr media
He can fly. Explosion counter is now at 12.5 as TR blasts off.
Nicholai and Ash battle, episode ends. Overall? Not a terrible episode! Still rather dull (it is early AG, after all), but there's enough chaos throughout to keep me from doing something else and giving up on my watchthrough for another ten months. So that's a win. That gets it like a seven I think.

I keep daydreaming about a darling who goes undercover to investigate this weird new local cult, and ends up very quickly rising through the ranks because suddenly whatever they're worshipping is actually responding now, but it's only to her. Instant high priestess, much to darling's distress and the twin's delight (and the mad jealousy of a few followers).
Oh oh oh, I have had such ideas about this at length... Especially for our darling boys who don't particularly desire a cult, ya know? (Also I want to gush about some OCs) [Some half-written ideas in here too]
I still haven't written much on it, but in the eldritch boy's AU I do picture there are other eldritch horrors running around- Not necessarily in Unova, but elsewhere in the world, you know? They have their own cults, amassing innocent, clueless followers to do their bidding...
But the boys keep Unova- And you- Safe from those fools. A cult tries to build a new compound or a temple in Unova? Earthquake or sudden fire happens or massive gas leak, the cult is gone. Someone's trying to proselytize about their sweet, super-cool God who will break free from the chains they were bound in thousands of years ago and bless those who honor it's return? Car accidents happen all the time in Castelia- Better it happens to them then someone who actually matters, you know?
But I have pictured the train boys getting a cult... And possibly a lot of people interested in their movements. Maybe even the Depot Agents having a cult to their lovely Bosses? Who knows.
Or maybe a weird train cult just pops up in Nimbasa. Trains are well loved, and some psychics have noticed there's a lot of strange power around the tracks... And they begin to amass. Some psychics have strange visions of strange monsters, strange lights, and deep, impenetrable darkness- Some regular folks notice strange irregularities and strange... almost glitches, in the fabric of reality on the subway- Their pokemon are jittery. They themselves are jittery. Gleaning what they can from visions and frenzy and dreams, they erect their own false temple, and pray and make offerings to the strange light and darkness of the temple. They sometimes look for others who share their feelings- Especially on one particular forum in the AU- The lit.wick website. A popular place to post about strange paranormal happenings in Unova, and the site owner had to make a separate board for the Subway of Nimbasa alone- Far too many strange things happen down there and it was flooding the rest of the boards, you know. The owner of the website himself is even beginning to investigate the tunnels... And the cultists realize the Depot Agents carry a strange energy about them- And the Subway Bosses themselves carry an even stranger energy- Have they been somehow blessed by whatever slumbering deity lurks within the Subway? But the Station Masters are not stupid enough to let these mere mortals know their nature- So they may appear oddly powerful, but nothing the cultists freak out about. But you? Oh, they forgot about how many gifts they've given you- How they've showered you in their protections and charms and blessings-
You're getting tired of being stopped by the strange people who lurk outside the Subway at seemingly all hours of the day. When the police break up one small group and tell them to move on, another soon moves in- And each time, they feel the need to pester you. "You do not realize it, but you've been blessed, O Young One." The cultist addressing you wore a dark cloak and thick spectacles that obscured most of his face. "I have not," You retort. Of course. "On the contrary," The man snorted, "Your life has taken a turn for great fortune recently, hasn't it?" "No it has-" You stopped. Hadn't it, though? "And not only that, but you bear promises from the Ineffable Mysteries of the Tunnels." He continued on. He caught you- The moment you caught yourself doubting your rejection, he'd caught you. "The feather in your cap gives off an unmistakable power... As does whatever you hide in your breast pocket." "Nonsense," You snapped, getting tired of this. "I highly doubt your- God, or whatever it is you're playing pretend with, would drop a feather at my feet-" "Ah, but it dropped at your feet, did it not? And you keep it in your hat? Why there?" The cultist half-sneered with every word coming from his lips. "And of the thing in your pocket- What of that?" "That- That was... Nothing, my boss was going to throw it out and he gave it to-" "He gave it to you? I highly doubt he was going to throw it out. He may have found it, but it was intended for you, O child. Did your boss seem strange when he was... going to throw it out? Did it seem urgent that you take that curious thing with you?" Your memory of that day Ingo gave you the scale was a little fuzzy- But- You felt a chill run down your spine. He had pressed it into your hand- And the intense, troubled look on his face- He asked you to keep it, in a voice that was strangely urgent-
And you certainly had good fortune. But you'd had good fortune even before you started working at Gear Station- But hadn't you also lost your job, and the only place you could find employment was at Gear Station? You went silent and turned away from the man. "Enough of this. Leave me alone." And you ignored his protests as you bolted across the street, booking it to your apartment. You took the feather off of your cap. Placed it on a bookshelf. You took the scale out of your breast pocket. Placed it on a bookshelf. You stared at them both. A white feather and a black scale. One gotten by chance, the other given to you- Why would Ingo give you a scale? It made no sense- He battled with pokemon every day. Pokemon lost fur and feathers and scales constantly- So why that one? You'd been blessed. And whatever blessed you, wanted you to know you'd been blessed- Or chosen. For something. And that thought seemed far scarier to you than anything else. You swallowed hard. Perhaps you wouldn't wear the scale and feather anymore to work. ------- I do have a rough sketch (VERY rough) of the guy who runs the lit.wick paper and website- I need to clean it up and actually draw the pokemon, as well as draw his assistant, Lowell Blackthorn- But I will share Jack here for now. I've been really liking the idea of writing a Darling who's a lot smarter/coy/cunning for the eldritch boys (And also over tired and overworked) and instead of immediately going to work for Gear Station, ends up working as a writer for the lit.wick paper at first.
Tumblr media
Name: Jack Langton
Occupation: In the Eldritch AU, He is the owner of the famous/infamous website Lit.Wick, and the associated paper published quarterly with it; The paper primarily focuses on everything horror/supernatural related, having sections for scary stories submitted by writers, or actual investigations into supernatural phenomena around Unova. However, the paper gained fame by writing massive exposes on different cults and their illegal/abusive practices in Unova, and helped to break them up- As well as exposing fraudulent psychics and so-called "mages" across the region. The paper became rather infamous however, when Langton began investigating several cult influences into the Unovan government- And exposed the crimes and perversion of a number of politicians across Unova. The paper had a smear campaign launched against it, and after several near-death incidences happened under the Lit.Wick Publishing House and Paper, it fell into obscurity and is primarily known now as more of a "for fun" paper that only talks about paranormal investigations or click-bait style articles with titles like "Top Ten Haunted Locations in Northern Opelucid". Langton himself is super friendly and protective of his small staff team- He also adores kids, and his pokemon, very dearly! He has- His trusty and old companions, Stoutland and Arcanine, a small pidove, a Lilligant, and a golett that used to not work... until he moved to Nimbasa, and one night while he was putting it outside by one of the subway's surface access tunnels, it suddenly sprung back to life, and has since recognized Jack as it's owner.

I wanted to drop down another idea,, Amethio x Trans masc Reader, (preferably if they don't have supportive parents, I love what you did with the Arven headcannons,,,)
I do apologise if my wording for requests is weird,, but I hope you have a genuinely amazing day!!
not weird at all, i can understand you perfectly. Also, an Amethio request AND a transmasc reader? i owe you my life, anon. i feel truly spoiled.
Amethio x Transmasc! Reader
Tumblr media
I honestly headcanon Amethio as transmasc as well so. T4T couple goals to be honest.
That aside, Amethio's response to you being trans is pretty neutral, regardless of where you are in your transition or how you tell him.
It's as simple as a nod, and maybe "I see. Thank you for telling me."
And then he just goes on with his day.
It doesn't change how he views you at all, you're still just. yourself. Not really his style to make a big deal of it.
That's not to say he doesn't care, though.
If he ever has any questions, he takes care to say them as politely as possible and doesn't pressure you to answer, and listens intently if you do.
Will help remind you to take breaks while binding/make sure you aren't pushing yourself if you ask him to, for example.
Occasionally will see something with the trans flag on it or with trans flag colors and will hand it to you/get it for you.
"This seems like something you'd like."
If someone's being an asshole to you, whether it be a family member or stranger on the street, he'll swiftly intervene.
"Excuse me. Just what do you think you're saying to my boyfriend?"
He doesn't even have to battle them. If his icy glare isn't enough to scare them off, the very angry Ceruledge looming over his shoulder is.
Then will pull you away, muttering something under his breath about what a nuisance that person is.
As for your family, well, Amethio is most likely to just tell you not to engage with them at all. In his eyes, there's no use in being around others like that.
He knows sometimes it's not that easy, though.
So if you have to deal with it, he'll just nod in understanding. He knows you're more than capable on your own, but he does worry.
Tells you to let him know if anyone says anything to you, and that he'll settle it in a pokemon battle.
You might think he's joking. He's not.
Ceruledge and Corviknight both love you too so they'll throw a fit if anyone makes you upset.
His job means he may not be able to come with you if you have to see your family, so he finds himself checking his phone more than usual when on a mission, wondering if you're okay.
Zir and Conia notice that he seems more distracted than usual, and wonder if he's worrying about something
Will text you more often, too. Expect messages at regular intervals inquiring as to if you are okay and how things are going, if he needs to pick you up.
"Ame, you can't just drop everything on your mission for me."
"I can and I will."
Afterwards, will just sit with you and spend some time with you to make up for his absence. He's not the most experienced in comfort if that's what you need, but he'll hold you and make sure you're not alone, and will listen to you talk or vent or rant or whatever.
Alternatively, if you'd like some space, he understands and is more than happy to give you that, too.
"You're a strong and capable person and trainer, more than you give yourself credit for. don't let those blind to that fact make you doubt yourself."

Paldea League explanation time
Might as well go into an explanation ramble about my picks for the Paldean league here! I did on AO3 but gonna mostly crosspost this here cause I feel like it.
Katy - grizzly bear This is a pretty obvious one. Considering she has a bug tera Teddiursa/Ursaring (because bears are often depicted as honey lovers in media), it makes sense why I'd make her a bear. Katy's also like a sweet momma bear in terms of her personality (not unlike another trainer here in Paldea, who is also a momma bear in terms of her personality, but more formidable, in this AU).
Brassius - serval I was just gonna make him an ocelot (because jungle cat) when he was first revealed in the trailer, but I kinda eventually wanted to make him part serval too, because servals have cute ears that I wanted to draw. Then I didn't really think he looked like a ocelot anymore, so I just made him a regular serval (yes, I'm aware servals are from the savannah, not the jungle/rainforest). He also jumped down from a windmill on his feet, hence the saying a cat always lands on its feet.
Iono - ragamuffin calico cat Iono just screams "cat girl" energy to me. Originally drew her as a pale orange and white cat, but I hated the design I did. So I went with a dilute calico to match her two toned hair, with one side of her fur being gray and the other half being pale orange. I also realized I unintentionally made a pun on cation.
Kofu - walrus Was gonna make him a hybrid between a walrus and a sea otter but last second, I just made him a walrus because the ears looked weird. I kinda went a bit half baked on the thought process of this, but I think he'd be a jolly old walrus, even if walruses are pretty territorial in real life. Also, first time I've drawn a walrus.
Larry - gray wolf Furry analysis thing. Wolves are like one of the most (if not the most) common species for a fursona. Larry may be a basic salaryman, but we all love him for that. Gave Larry some rather basic markings (gray fur, light gray markings on the snout, limbs, stomach and ear insides, and a black tipped tail; I know adult wolves don't have blue eyes but it's not uncommon to see wolf fursonas with blue eyes) for an average wolf to go with his theme. Larry's also almost always hungry, so I could say he's hungry like a wolf. Another point I initially forgot to add is that Larry's really popular among Pokemon fans, reminds me of how the furry fandom just goes bonkers whenever the media releases a new wolf character (*looks over at Legoshi, Mr. Wolf, and Death*).
Ryme - red fox So, this is a slight headcanon-ish thing that I've "dropped"/"forgotten about". Fox Ryme still works, cause she has a Houndstone, the fox and the Houndstone. I just think she'd be a fox, it just comes naturally to me (the urge to add a fox every time).
Tulip - leopard Okay so this is a questionable one. When I first saw Tulip's design, she instantly reminded me of Clawroline from Kirby and the Forgotten Land and I can't really shake that off, which is the reason why she looks like Clawroline in my AU. Also, the area around Alfornada is kinda like a savannah, and Tulip does have an Espartha on her team, which is technically an ostrich, another savannah animal.
Grusha - siberian husky Again, a pretty obvious one. All the ice type specialists (that I know of) in this Pokemon AU are all animals that originate from/inhabit places from, yet it took me this long to make an ice type specialist a husky in my AU. Also, those icy blue eyes of his are too hard to pass for a husky.
Rika - egyptian mau/sand cat mix This was a neat design to do. This design was pulled out randomly because I do have this headcanon that she's Falkner's older cousin (Falkner in this AU is an egyptian mau cat). She's also part sand cat to tie in with her being a ground type specialist. She mostly just looks your average spotted tabby though.
Poppy - raccoon When I saw her, I was instantly like "OMG, she's so adorable, she's my favourite character in this game" (no matter what everyone else says). Raccoons are my second favourite animal, but I didn't really think Poppy's design would translate well into a fox, so I went with a raccoon instantly because of her silver clothing and black hair gave off raccoon fur vibes. Raccoons allegedly like shiny objects, and Poppy has a giant key around her neck, so a perfect match. I could really just go on about this design choice, but I'd rather not make it too long or too deep. I didn't initially notice this at first but I found out that Poppy's giant key is actually a purse that she stores candy in, raccoons for sure have a sweet tooth as well.
Hassel - st bernard/golden retriever mix His hair colour reminds of a golden retriever but his face kinda reminds me of a st bernard. I'd definitely imagine a happy Hassel to be a blubbering and slobbering dog (st bernards drool a lot) in my AU, and I'd say both breeds would match him nicely.
Geeta - bobtail tortoiseshell cat I was gonna make her a bombay (black) cat initially, but I chose a tortoiseshell last minute, I'm not sure why, probably just to try and match her design more, I don't know to be honest. I eventually thought of the bobtail since I like the idea of Iono, Rika and Geeta being the three cats of the Paldea league (cause Brassius and Tulip aren't domestic cats), and them having a different vibe to them, with Iono being fluffy with a bushy tail, Rika being sleeker with a sleek tail, and Geeta kinda being inbetween with a cute little bobtail.

Hey! Dreepy man! Thanks so much for the help!
I am nearing my travelling date back home, so I wanted to ask for ideas on what Pokemon I should get for my second brother.
He used to be a photographer and used to travel the world, but now he's an editor for a channel and last time I heard he wasn't... doing so well mentally. In that he doesn't necessarily take care of himself that well. He barely goes outside and he's mainly editing for the company that he's working for. So I wanted to at least give a Pokemon that'll give him at least some boost in morale.
I'm not sure on where to start, but I do know it needs to be one of those pokemon that will only tolerate one person and ONLY one person (in our home we have a ranch of Pokemon but our parents are taking care of em, not my brother), I want a Pokemon that will only depend on my brother, forcing him to get out of his room and enrich the Pokemon. I honestly might get him an egg so it can imprint onto my brother if that's the case?
I also don't necessarily want something... too demanding, something that he'll reject completely from the get-go from how hard it is to take care of so... any thoughts on what Pokemon I should get him?
Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your brother's struggles! Having a Pokemon to look after has been well-proved to help with motivation and 'getting out there', but you're right that not just any will do!
I would be perhaps wary of getting him an egg, I'm afraid, simply because if you are afraid of him deciding caring for a Pokemon is too much effort, well, freshly-hatched Pokemon require more care than an already mature individual, and an egg as an object can be harder to bond with directly than a creature with a face that can easily respond to you, so it runs the risk that he could decide to get rid of it before it hatches and he bonds! A younger Pokemon in general, however, may be a fine idea.
If you think your brother would appreciate something cute, a Vulpix could be a good option- either Kantonian or Alolan, depending on if he prefers warm or cold! They are cuddly, intelligent creatures who bond tightly with trainers, and they require regular exercise and benefit greatly from socialisation- but their care needs are not too complex, they are popular enough both as battling Pokemon and as pets that food and equipment for them is easily accessible, and they are unlikely to be so clingy that receiving care from others when necessary would be difficult. Skitty would be another similar option, without having to do any Fire-type proofing or minimise cuddles in cold weather- the Normal-type is popular as pets for a reason! However they are very high-energy, and if your brother struggles with that he may find it more annoying than endearing! Delcatty, their evolved form, would remove that potential problem, but if not bonded with early or as a Skitty they can be very independent in a way that could be counterproductive.
Should your brother not appreciate cute so much, or prefer something more unusual, I could suggest Shuppet. They are emotivores, meaning they eat emotions, usually negative ones, and it has been reported that this can help people suffering from mental illness get a better grip on emotions that could otherwise be overwhelming. They are also very sweet and social, and do not require very much bodily care, being Ghost-types. However, they may not get him out much, and if too many Shuppet feed on one singular person, that person's emotions can easily be deadened beyond what is helpful. Another non-overtly-cute option might be a Steel-type such as Klefki or Klink. Klefki are surprisingly social and intelligent little creatures, and he might find interest in collecting keys for them to keep. Klink are, despite their appearances, very curious, and love to find new things and places to interact with, trying to fit themselves and various objects into and around each other! Steel-type care is not always intuitive to newcomers, given many of them are not mammals like humans are, but there are plenty of guides out there (I can give recommendations if requested) and, at least for the two I've named, is really not that complicated!
I wish your brother good recovery from his mental health diffculties, and I hope this gives you a notion what might help him out!

~~ Island transfer tool and 2 nintendo accounts ~~
found a reason to have more than one switch account connected to a nintendo account~~
its stupid that it doesn't just transfer over like other regular save data, especially if you only have one switch account per switch... thus one person per island....
why did they make transferring an island such a pain? I had to link my oled switch to another nintendo account to use the island transfer tool if I want to go back to the oled and not lose any save data.
it took me forever to find some stuff this morning before I went to bed, and I couldn't dream of restarting now, as far as I am currently...
minor rant; but seriously game why? I ran around my rivers and stuff looking for a banded dragonfly, find one finally, switch to fish and what do I find while trying to do the same thing with the guppy? 3 banded dragonflies just zooming by~~~
game??? why????
but ye~~~ now I just need to hope that nothing happens, and I can transfer accounts between switches an endless amount of times~~ cause I waffle back and forth a lot (and need to stop tbh~~~)
may as well just stick with the oled model now~~~ I've used it for a long time anyway~~~ it's heavier than the lite, but not unwieldy, it's screen is bigger, sound quality is better, battery life is better....
but why do they have to make transferring an animal crossing new horizons island a pain in the butt??? all the hell I went through to catch stuff before bed this morning, and the big farm and all the work I've done so far~~~ I don't want to lose it~~~
and a benefit of another nintendo account is that I can actually trade w games if I'm playing brilliant diamond digitally, I could use the physical copy of shining pearl to trade starters if I didn't have pokemon home~~ and other shenanigans~~~
reminds me of trading w myself in the DS era of pokemon~~~
so I guess there is a benefit to having 2 separate nintendo accounts on 2 separate switch profiles...
but darn is it a pain.....
yes this post is about transferring new horizons data to a different switch~~~ am doing that instead of restarting at this point cause all the work I've done on my current one that I don't want to lose~~~
hope stuff goes ok tbh~~~~
update: everything went fine~~~ transfer one user to the other, set up a test user beforehand, transfer the other user, connect to the eshop to download the transfer tool, then launch it and do the whole song and dance again~~~
pain in the butt and not worth constantly transferring my user data and island back and forth constantly~~~
and I loaded into the game and ran into Celeste~~~ who gave me the star wand DIY~~~ time to wish on some stars when I get back to the game~~~ I decided to do this instead of get food, lol...

Ok but what if Ingo accidentally ate something his particular breed of Sneasel can’t. Like maybe for the regular breed it’s fine and Emmet didn’t think anything of it but… Hisuian Sneasels don’t share the same immunities as Johtoian Sneasels, they are quite literally an extinct breed of sneasel for a reason and probably didn’t adapt a tolerance for things a normal sneasel would have, like certain types of food that are poisonous or unhealthy to certain breeds of dogs that others that have developed a tolerance for.
I couldnt think of what he could have a reaction to so im just gonna not fill that in (if i had to pick something i was gonna pick raisins they casue kidney failure in dogs but i dont want to make it too serious sooooo)
Ok so hi writing liz here. I spent like so long on writing the set up. Its 3:22am and im still writing the set up. Ok i had a thought of taking the whole thing out and just writing the key points here then making a full post for what i have. Yea im gonna do that but im gonna leave this note here.
Another note. Its 4:05 and i just realised i wrote this whole thing for food poisoning instead of allergy. Sorry im having a spout of food poisoning myself at the moment so its just on the brain. Damn you local dominos.
Ok so key points only LETS GOO
Ingo tried to hide it from Emmet. Emmet does a lot for Ingo now and Ingo feels bad about it. He used to take care of Emmet.
I headcanon Ingo cooked for them and Emmet sucks at it.
Emmet knows Ingo feels bad about not being able to take care of Emmet, let alone himself, so Emmet has to keep a closer eye on Ingo since he wont tell him if something is wrong. So you just get Ingo poorly hiding his pain/sickness and Emmet hyper aware of Ingos state.
Im gonna say it gets pretty bad. Like Ingo is awake halfway throught the night stubbornly trying to tuff it out when hes just like “yea no something is very wrong i need help” so he goes to wake up Emmet, who is totally awake and totally wasnt about to drag Ingo to a pokemon center in the next five minutes. Emmet rushes him down and finds out its food poisoning. Which Emmet is completely surprised about because he researched everything Sneasels can and cant eat. He picked that food because it was supposed to be safe damn it. The nurse suggested maybe its because his typing is different.
Oh side note Emmet pretending Ingo is just his pokemon drives him up the wall. He hates making his brother feel like a lesser being.
Anyway Ingo has a good three days of recovery ahead of him. Hes tired. Hes in pain. Hes dehydrated. Hes shaky. And he cant keep anything in his stomach.
Now i have given myself food poisoning many many times (im banned from cooking chicken at 3am now) so i know it just sucks. No you arent leaving the house dont bother. You ate too weak to try probably. Drinking lots and lots of water feels like its doing nothing but doctors say it helps so *shrug* do it. It hardly matters what you eat it isnt staying long. Vomiting is the worst. Though tbh my stomach has serious acid lvl problems soooo idk i might be a bad example for how bad vomits should burn. Dehydration adds a lot of the symptoms tbh. If you share a bathroom with someone rip them, because you live in there now. Ok again im a bad example because i pretty much live in the bathroom as is. I shower when im sick. Like a lot. If im sick then i spends hours in there. At least if i have to vom im in the shower ya know. Idk. I should when i write these posts mostly.
So Emmet is going to take his normal levels of peotection of Ingo and dial them up to 11. He feels at fault for this after all. Ingo is too weak to shove his brother off right now. Emmet isnt going to work at all till Ingo is in full health again thats for sure. Queue sofa living. Emmet only left the house to go to the store to buy sports drinks and oatmeal. Maybe banana or two as well. You may think these are weird choices but trust me fam you dont want anything else. The sports drink gonna help with the dehydration and the oatmeal/bananas help keep your stomach in less of a mess. That is once you get to eat. When going through the main symptoms Ingo cant reslly eat or drink anything without making himself worse. Emmet hates it. I mean so does Ingo but duh. Seeing his brother in pain again is something Emmet never wanted to do. But its worse this time. He blames himself for his mistake. Even though there was literally no way for him to know, wel talking it over with Ingo but he thought he had it covered. Queue Ingo trying to comfort Emmet while sick making Emmet feel worse. I saw a headcanon that Emmet stress cleans so the whole time hes not by Ingos side hes cleaning something.
Once Ingo finds out what had been going on he can help keep his diet in order. He knows what hisuin sneasels can and cant eat after all. But thats not till everything is said and done.
Ok its 4:21am im done i got nothin else for this one. I do have like the other post in the works but my phone is at 4% so its gonna have to wait. Sorry i missed the allergy thingy. I dont have many food related ones. I assume Emmet gets worse off for stress because food allergies are crazy bad news. Your throat swells. You cant breathe. Oh Ingo could have died. Yea Emmet isnt good

Leon is de-aged right in front of Guzma, and physically and mentally becomes somewhere between 5-10 years old, and loses the memories and such of adult Leon. Maybe one of the tapus did it or another Pokemon, but Guzma knows it'll just take a couple of days and then Leon is back to normal, so he doesn't need to panic about fixing it and just has to make sure kid-Leon doesn't like get killed or something, and that the rest of the world doesn't realize it's him so it won't make a media shitstorm.
How does Guzma (and other team skull people) handle having kid-Leon around?
Bro
Ok, so, the absolute first thing Guzma realizes about lil Leon (I'm going to say he's closer to 5 years old in this scenario) is that his accent is so heavy, they can barely understand him. It also doesn't help that lil Leon also has a bit of a lisp on top of it.
The second thing he realizes is that lil Leon has the tendency to get distracted and wander off at the drop of the hat.... Which, to be fair, isn't much different than regular Leon. Lil Leon is just harder to find cuz he's so...well..."lil". For instance, Leon successfully communicates to Guzma that he's hungry, so Guzma sets him down, turns toward the cabinet to grab a snack, and, when he turns back, Leon is just... gone. He has to go searching the whole house for the little tyke for 20 minutes. He eventually finds him in his room in a wardrobe eating a bunch of chocolate he found in there (cuz Guzma has a very old habit of hoarding food in his room). Now Guzma has to deal with a sugar high lil Leon 😂
He's also very precocious and goes right up to any and every big scary pokemon (and human) he sees. He's taken quite a liking to Plumeria who is a little wary about the whole situation. Some may find it surprising, but out of the skull leaders, Guzma's the one who's better with small kids. (He insists he dislikes little kids btw). Plumeria's just not as natural with them and will be the first to admit she has zero maternal instinct. But, yeah, Leon will run up to her and hug her waist and she's just like.... it's touching me.... Why must it touch...? What do...??? Help????????
All the girl grunts love him, and he absolutely loves the attention. Like, they're picking him up and doing his hair and telling him how handsome he is and he is just eating it up like the natural little showman he is.
The guys are being a bit colder to him, not wanting to break their collective tough guy, hard-boiled façade. Of course, lil Leon wants to be friendly with them and they're being all stuck up and ignoring him/dismissing him, so the poor thing starts crying because he can't understand why they don't wanna play with him q.q What did he do wrong?
This alerts the boss who busts down the door like WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU IDIOTS DO???? and proceeds to scold the offending grunts who desperately try to convince him of their innocence.
After the fact, the boss was concerned all his yelling might have scared lil Leon, but- the cheeky little thing- apparently thinks mad Guzma is the funniest thing ever and is giggling like crazy. Guzma even plays into it and, like, jokingly stomps at him, which sends lil Leon into an adorable giggle fit. Guzma also does a thing where he's, like, you think this is funny??? You think this is a joke?????? You laughin' at me????????? and it just tickles Leon pink. Guzma's enjoying himself a little too much 🤭
Later that night, Guzma (just absolutely exhausted) tucks lil Leon into his bed. When he starts to walk away, Leon grabs his arm and asks something...he sounds like a little mareep cuz he keeps saying "baa". He also says "hishie-baa" (which is hard for him to say with his lisp) and "baloo"... Eventually Guzma's like lil dude I'm so sorry but I ain't got a fuckin' clue what you're saying. Very quietly and timidly, Leon sings something and Guzma realizes that he is asking him to sing him a lullaby.
So, after thoroughly checking that there was no grunts eavesdropping in the hallway, he sings lil Leon a song his mom would sing when he was little. Once Leon falls asleep, he goes over to his chair and pretty much passes out. Kids are a lot of fucking work, man.
However, Guzma wakes up a few hours later to find Leon has crawled up onto him and fallen asleep on his chest. (Btw Lil Leon sucks his index finger while asleep and it's fucking adorable, not that Guzma would admit it). So, Guz lifts him off and takes him back to the bed without waking him. A few more hours later, Leon is back on his chest...Guzma gives up and just goes back to sleep.

Heya! I hope your doing well!
Ever since swsh gave the rivals something to do after the fact( something that I believe only happened to Blue), I can't help but think of the rivals prior who haven't. What do you think they end up doing? I know that Blue ends up becoming a gym leader, but would still be interesting what you plan for him too! :3
Hi there @ihopethisendswell! So actually, it's the norm typically for the rivals to have something to do, even if it's just continuing being a roaming trainers. Being a roaming trainer is still just as valid of a career path as other routes given the way the Pokemon world works, it's just not as solid of a career path as say gym leader or research assistant. Pokemon Sword and Shield is one of the only main games that really puts emphasis on the rivals' alternate careers paths as part of the plot outside of the gen 5 games. So like you have Blue who becomes gym leader and also helps his grandpa with his research by still be a roaming trainer (much to the frustration of anyone trying to challenge his gym). By the time of Sun and Moon/USUM he has ditched the gym to become battle facility which ultimately given his status as a former champion ends up being a much more fitting role. Granted he needed that time as a gym leader as long standing humbling exercise so it wasn't a bad call at all. Then we have Silver, who remains a roaming trainer, though he kind of mainly sticks around the Dragon's Den because he really wants to avenge that loss to Lance and show how much he has changed. Then we have Brendan/May (when not the protagonist) who end up going back to being full time assistants professor Birch. Wally on the other hand, is much like Silver in that he continue to be a roaming trainer, with him staying around the Battle Resort in ORAS with him eventually going to the Battle Tree by the time the SM/USUM events occur.
Barry also follows the roaming trainer route with him staying Stark Mountain in Diamond/Pearl and with Platinum he hangs around the Survival area.
Gen 5 is where the rival's future goals get the most attention, and was the best well done (SwSh in my opinion failed hard on the rival's goals bar Klara and Avery's). Bianca is still my favorite "how to do a future career path" ending in the entirety of series which is she really doesn't know. She ends up taking up a position as Professor's Juniper's assistant. However it's this linefrom Bianca in Pokemon Black 2/White 2 that I really enjoyed:
"Actually, I'm not sure being a professor's assistant is really what I want to do... But when I do the work, I have lots and lots of fun!" I really appreciated that they allowed Bianca to have doubts that this is her final career path. She's still a child and I can remember when I was her age (God, I sound so old) how many career paths I thought about in that time frame...and only one of those comes even remotely close to what I'm attempting to go back to school for. I liked how she's just trying to things and aiming for experiences while not trying to commit herself to one specific path. Now obviously this could theoretically be true for any number of the rivals as with the exception of Blue (and Wally although for some odd reason they didn't give him an aged up model considering he'd be just as old as Red and Blue are) we don't see them as adults and their ambitions could very well have indeed changed over the years. Then you have Cheren who after that scolding from Alder really begins to question his pursuit of strength and what he really wants to do. Cue 2 years later in BW2 where we see him as the Aspertia City gym leader as well a lecturer at the trainer's school. Fitting as it shows his desire and capabilities as a trainer but also allowing a more concrete goal than just pursuing strength but actually overseeing the future generations. And Hugh, another one of my favorite characters, concludes his story arc on forgiveness (since he had absolutely none for Team Plasma at the beginning of the story) ends up a roaming trainer but also helping the good side Team Plasma in Driftveil City reunite Pokemon that were stolen during the events of Black/White to their original trainers. So he has a goal and really touching one I might add, one of the few that doesn't revolve around battling or researching.
Then there's the XY rivals who were admittedly the most shafted. They all pretty much end up as roaming trainers except for Trevor who already had the aim of completing the Pokedex for Professor Sycamore and he continues to do so.
The no specific aim works the best, in my opinion, for Shauna as she really didn't have much of a goal to begin with outside of travelling/making memories, and much like I said with Bianca, it's okay for characters to not have a specific end game (although I personally see Bianca's route as better as although she isn't quite sure what she wants to do, she does take initiative and actively pursue a goal to gain experience and see if it's for her).
Serena/Calem (again when not the protag) having no set aim also works because they were most competitive of the group and continuing to be a trainer makes sense, but since they get hardly any development it just feels hollow and not satisfying. At least with characters like Wally, Silver and Barry who are roaming they all went through some major development. Lack of major development plus no end game just makes Serena and Calem unfortunately just not stand out.
Then Tierno...poor Tierno. He's my favorite XY character and I hate that screwed over so poorly. He actually a goal but the game doesn't allow us to see how a dance team would work. Kalos really could've benefitted from a Pokemon Contest/Musical like sidequest where Tierno shines in. So him being a roaming trainer is just...meh.
Now moving on to Gen 7 and best boy Hau (Hau's up there with Blue and Leon as one of my favorite Pokemon characters PERIOD). In both Sun and Moon and USUM he's a roaming trainer but I argue that Sun and Moon actually wrapped up his character better, despite USUM giving him much more in the way of development. By that I mean he explicitly mentions to the player that he wants become strong enough to find his father who fled Alola because the pressure of being the Kahuna's son was too much. So yeah he is still just a regular trainer, but he does have an explicit goal that goes beyond just trying to continue to measure up to the player. He also helps to train the reforming Team Skull grunts in the art of Alolan SuMo. In USUM this is erased for a more generic roaming trainer scenario unfortunately. Gladion's fate also changes depending on what version of the Gen 7 games you play. With Sun and Moon he ends up taking over as Aether's president but also still trains on the side as he is one of the challengers that can come for your title in the post game. In Ultra Sun and Moon he actually takes the "I'm going to Kanto" route instead of Lillie although he actually back and is essentially a roaming trainer since Lusamine's villainy was nerfed and therefore allowed to stay as Aether's president
Then there's Trace who ends up champion then loses it, but keeps on going in this endless circle of trying to reclaim it from the player. And then finally the Gen 8 rivals where we have Bede, Marnie, Klara and Avery all become gym leaders and Hop is a professor. Despite this cast having the most focus on their future paths since the gen 5 rivals I don't think they were done that well. Like Klara and Avery's worked, really well and they're probably the only rivals bar Trace and Blue who actually their goals (with them actually maintaining there dream status because their goal didn't involve becoming champion).
I've talked about Hop's on this post before but the lack of genuine foreshadowing just made his sudden declaration of wanting to be a Pokemon Professor just come out of nowhere. And honestly considering the fact that he had just come out of a depressive stage and still hadn't quite addressed his idolization issues I think he would've been served better with the Bianca route where yes he becomes Sonia's assistant, but it's clear that he's still trying to find his new path and that he's just open to trying out research rather than making a rather bold claim that this was his new career path. Either that or do better in the foreshadowing where he shows he has a much clearer interest in academia but feels like he needs to be a champion like his brother.
Then there's Marnie who I've also stated was kind of screwed over. Because she made it rather clear to Piers she didn't want to be gym leader (which makes sense given that she saw how that position screwed over older brother that she admires). She's pretty much doing this because she still has the motivation to save her hometown which is extremely admirable and mature. But also it's sad, like if she didn't have to do this, would she honestly still be gym leader. I think not, at least not immediately. Considering that gym challengers can still compete on the big stage with the champion's cup rematches and some even can be invited to the Galarian Stars Tournament, I think if I had of written that I would've focused on how with Leon as the head of MC he's going to actually work with Spikemuth to revitalize without shouldering the responsibility on one single person, especially a minor. And let her be a roaming trainer and live for herself and not continue to be Spikemuth's martyr.
Then there's Bede who quite vocally states when crashing the Champion's Cup that he was ready to retire. Like poor boy goes from being used as Rose's wishing star collector and fall boy to Opal's reirement plan. Like yes it's great that Opal actually remembers his name and gives him a support system and teaches him some discipline. But still it's kind of sad as he was very much okay with retiring but more or less gets goaded into staying because of the stadium audience.
So this post got way longer than I what it was going to be but hey that happens. But yeah too long don't read, all of the rivals do have a goal, even if a lot of them end up as roaming trainers. If I'm honest in most cases (bar the gen 6 rivals because they lacked developent) the roaming trainer thing works. Because they're kids and they still have their whole lives ahead of them and they don't need to have concrete job just yet. Especially because in some cases the concrete plan just doesn't always fit the character. It works best when it feels like an organic part of the story and not just trying to wrap things up for the sake of wrapping things up.
Finally, to answer your question about how I deal with Blue. Well in my Pokeverse (dubbed cactusverse in case you see me refer to my AU as this), I tend to be fairly canon compliant to the games. So after he loses his champion title to Red he becomes Viridian gym leader, slightly patches things up with grandfather by helping with the research and eventuallya head of the Battle Tree as an adult once he gains the Battle Legend Status (which is an actual legitimate title in cactusverse held currently only by him, Red and Leaf, although one of my OCs gets this designation as well). So nothing that really deviates from canon except for some offscreen events. Basically the battle legend status is bestowed if a major event happens that is taken care of by an already established powerful trainer. So there's a rather major plot thing the Kanto Trio gets involved in that once they take care of gives them their status.
Also for cactusverse there's the whole issue of the Viridian City gym. So it eventually it gets passed down to Trace as Blue has shown that he's become a bit too powerful to be a gym leader. He was honestly when he first got it probably still a bit overkill for an 8th gym leader, but he also really needed an attitude adjustment. And with Lance being a far better father figure to him than Oak could ever dream of, with the help of Agatha tried to rein in his egotistical and self important ways by giving him the position. Which worked very well. Still in cactusverse there's rules on the win percentage a gym can have and that's determined by position. Win too many for your rank and you get moved, vice versa if you lose too many, and sometimes you might even lose your position. The first and last gym leaders are always the most at risk of losing their status. This actually happens to Wallace, Iris and eventually Raihan because they just end up exceeding the strength of most challengers who try to challenge them. Hence why all three of them end up champions at some point cactusverse (Raihan does not become Galar's champion, but Johto's champion since I really like the idea of him spreading his wings beyong Galar).
Blue between the time of BW2 and SM had ended up getting to a point that no one had gotten a gym badge off of him in a couple of years which is unacceptable by league standards and he would've gotten booted out sooner had Lance not personally asked my OC Terra to come kick his butt and get a badge off of him. And cue possibly the most iconic and brutal gym battles to have ever gone down in a region of outside of Galar because two heartbroken champion tier trainers, who broke each other's heart is a recipe for a frightening battle. Lance happened to referree that match and might be a little traumatized. Terra won and he was able to give out his last badge before Red came back from his latest global trip and said let's go to Alola.

Actually since im not a big fan of ghost cores any more than im a fan of obsessions, im kind of curious what your thoughts are.
So, as far as I'm aware, the whole idea of ghost cores started with this one scene in Urban Jungle:
Tumblr media
"Your central core reading indicates extreme cold, as if your body is self generating it."
Now, from that little quote alone, I have no idea how it all snowballed into being this fantastic object that is the equivalent of a ghost's heart, brain, and soul, as well as the source of its powers and very existence, but it happened somehow.
Personally I don't think this means "your central (ghost) Core reading," I think it literally just means "core temperature," as in, the term used commonly in human medicine. Redundant, sure, but I think sometimes writers do that when making "smart fancy person explaining important science things."
I think the blue dot is meant as a visual representation of Danny's cold power built up inside of him, as Frostbite explains later in the episode:
"The cold is contained within you, and ever since you acquired your ghost abilities, you have only been letting it out in small amounts."
And honestly, I'm pretty convinced Danny's ice is a regular power, and not related to a whole element of his being, just based on another conversation between Danny and Frostbite, after he tells him about his core temperature readings:
D: "How is this possible?"
F: "You become invisible, pass through solid objects, and emit beams of energy from your hands, and you ask 'how is this possible?'"
D: "You mean, this is a new ghost power?"
F: "Precisely. Though new to you it may be, rest assured, it is an ability very familiar to my people. We are quite well trained in it's use."
Especially when he compares Danny's cold temperature to his other ghost powers? And then refers to it as an ability and goes on to demonstrate with snow and ice constructs. To me, it sounds like the whole of it, cold body temperature, ice generation, snow generation, and freeze ray are all thought of as a singular ability, rather than multiple abilities granted by a limited elemental core.
Now, to be fair, this is a kids superhero show, so of course it's gonna be "ghost powers" and a new superpower. Everybody can take creative liberty with this show, it's all fictional anyway, and would certainly look different through different mediums or genres.
Uh anyway, you can ignore this if you like cores, this is just my personal opinion.
A lot of Danny's ghost powers, to me, seem to be pretty cliche ghost things to me (aside from freaking lazer beams but you know, whatever. Comic book superhero here we go.)
Invisibility, intangibilty, and flight are obvious, but then you've also got telekinesis (ghosts make things float), electricity (electronics go haywire around ghosts), and ice powers. Cold spots, frosted windows, etc. I feel like ice powers are just the comic book superhero manifestation of that particular ghostly attribute, not one of the many pokemon elemental types that ghosts come with according to this headcannon?
It's hard for me to pinpoint exactly what rubs me the wrong way about core fannon, which is why im so late in answering this ask. Maybe it's just the way that it's become this big huge thing that's so widely accepted that it's taken as the ectobiology basics, just like compulsive obsessions (bleh).
One of my favorite themes in Danny Phantom is We're Not So Different. Not in the evil villain "come to the dark side we have cookies" sort of way, but in the "maybe our enemies are people too" sort of way.
Ghosts have morals. Ghosts have emotions. Ghosts are complex creatures just like the people that they used to be. Ghosts and humans can work together. Danny is literally a symbol of the unity and harmony that's possible between Ghosts and humans.
I guess I think of ghosts and humans as two sides of the same coin. Danny is a great example. His ghost colors are an inversion of his human ones. In "Livin Large" (I know, everyone's least favorite episode) it's revealed that the Ghost Zone is inherently tied to the human realm, and that destruction of one is destruction of the other. Ghosts and humans are perfect opposites and, like puzzle pieces, when put together make a complete whole.
I like thinking about it this way because it makes death less frightening. It's "the other side," not unrecognizable, evil aliens. It's people you can know and love who have crossed that barrier. Danny's perfectly straddling that fence!
What does this have to do with cores? Admittedly I went off on a tangent a little bit... but to me a core doesn't feel like the flipside of a person, it feels like a discount crystal gem bad attempt at alien biology.
You know, maybe I'm overthinking this. Maybe I'm just tired of Danny's downfall in so many fics being his own body mysteriously screwing him up because of the Mysterious Alien Ghost Organ that is Really Very Super Important To All Ghosts Everywhere except in cannon where it's literally not even a thing (also youd think such an important organ wouldnt be comoromised so easily. Thats just bad evolution). And it's such a popular piece of fannon that it's not even tagged or mentioned in the summary of most fics. Now I'm just complaining.........
I can't figure out exactly why I dislike ghost cores so much, anon. Maybe because there's nothing really ghostly about it? I just spent this whole post trying to figure it out and I still don't know. I've thought about it for days and every time I think I come up with a reason I realize that I like other headcannons with the same quality. As much word vomit as I've left here, there's just as much I've typed out that I've deleted. Why do I hate ghost cores? I don't know.
Tumblr media
Why do you hate ghost cores, anon? Maybe we can figure this out together.

✿: feeling so out of it, they need constant attention
You’ve got it! 💕  Thanks for the ask!
Someone asked me to write asthmatic Matthew in the ER a while ago, and I didn’t do it, but here it is now. 😂 I hope it's not total trash.
Sweet Normalcy
Word Count: 1555
Chest pain, the dull aching kind that flares up every time he inhales, that’s all he feels. Keeping his eyes open takes a great deal of effort, but the constant hissing flow of nebulized albuterol being delivered through the mask on his face makes it hard to get any sleep. Maintaining a train of thought for longer than fifteen seconds is also a sudden challenge. When he rolls his head to the right and looks up at the monitor behind him, he sees his heart rate is in the 140s and his oxygen saturation is at ninety-five percent on albuterol and oxygen. That’s not normal for him. None of this is normal. He can’t remember the last time things got this out of control.
“Matthew? Any better, love?” Dad asks him from the chair to his left. He’s been sitting there for hours now, continuously keeping vigilant watch.
It’s a busy night in the emergency department, and it feels a bit like he’s in a bad fever dream. The doctor checking in on him introduced herself earlier, but he can’t recall her name. An alarm goes off every few minutes from someone’s monitor, and it takes him longer than it should to recognize that it’s his monitor making that noise and alerting his nurse to keep coming over to assess him due to his seesawing oxygen saturation and heart rate.
Matthew’s not even sure what time it is anymore. He barely remembers anything. Every hour or so, he will doze off into a fitful half-sleep for twenty minutes or so before waking again and feeling disoriented. A nurse could tell him he’s been here for a week, and he’d believe them.
“Matthew? I asked if you’re feeling any better?” Dad asks again, leaning forward in his seat to grab his clammy left hand and squeeze it gently.
“A little,” Matthew lies, for his father’s sake. He wonders where Alfred and Papa are. They were here earlier, he’s pretty sure.
“I can tell when you’re not being truthful,” Dad sighs, squeezing his hand harder. “You’re not improving. You need to be admitted. This is ridiculous. You should have been admitted hours ago.”
Matthew hates seeing him stressed like this, but he also knows there’s nothing he can do about it at the moment. He feels himself slipping into momentary sleep again, and his eyes flutter shut. He wants to go home. Wants to be in his bed…Is it morning yet?
“Sixteen-year-old with a history of asthma…Patient accompanied by his father. Patient began oral corticosteroid treatment two days ago at home after experiencing wheezing, chest tightness, and coughing that was not fully improving with usual rescue medications…”
They’re talking about him—Matthew realizes that much, at least. He opens his glazed eyes and sees a new doctor approaching him. His ID badge says he’s a critical care doctor. Matthew’s not sure what the difference is between him and the other doctor he saw earlier, but he honestly can’t be bothered to care. He wants to sleep. Desperately. And he wants the chest pain to stop.
“Matthew, buddy?” the doctor says, putting a hand on his shoulder.
He doesn’t want to breathe anymore. His chest hurts too much, and speaking would require taking another agonizing breath.
"Mmmrgh" is all he can manage.
“He’s been less and less responsive,” Dad supplies from the other side of the room, and Matthew can hear the nervousness in his voice, which is unsettling. Dad rarely ever shows how anxious he is when someone’s sick. “I can’t get him to talk to me in full sentences anymore—just phrases.”
The doctor carefully sits him up, and Matthew feels his whole body shake. He rests his elbows against the stretcher to brace himself. A cold stethoscope touches his back, and he shivers.
“He’s still not moving air. He needs to be brought upstairs to intensive care to be monitored. We’ll continue IV steroid treatment and continuous albuterol. If he’s still like this, we can consider non-invasive ventilation and take it from there. Our main priority is to protect his airway.”
Dad says something, but Matthew doesn’t hear it over the noise of the nebulizer. He just knows he’s going to be moved soon and the treatment is going to become more serious now. If he weren’t so tired, he might be scared.
The doctor leaves, and Dad goes back to holding Matthew’s hand. “It’s going to be all right, love. You’ll receive better care soon and hopefully, you’ll start to feel better,” Dad tells him before using his other hand to pet his head. “Try to rest. I’ll be right here, and I won’t let anything happen to you, understand?”
Matthew nods. His eyes do close again, and he does get some brief rest. The next time he’s aware of his surroundings and wakes up, he’s already in the ICU, which means he slept through his transport. The respiratory therapist is setting him up on a BiPAP machine, and once it’s on, it makes his chest hurt even more, which he didn’t think was possible. He grits his teeth against the pain and tries not to make a fuss about it—it would just make Dad worry even more. The air being forced into his lungs is welcome yet excruciating at the same time.
But he doesn’t have to say anything for Dad to know he’s suffering. It’s written all over his face. “I know, poppet. It’s just temporary. It should help.”
It’s so exhausting that he falls asleep again without even needing to think about it. Again, he has no idea how much time passes until he sees the sun shining through the windows of the hospital, indicating that it’s finally morning. The BiPAP mask squeezing his face gets replaced with a regular oxygen mask again, and it occurs to him that his chest feels much lighter and his head is clearer. The worst is over. The air in his lungs feels crisp and refreshing...Almost sweet, even.
“How are you feeling?” Dad asks for the millionth time, still perched next to him.
“Better…For real this time.”
Dad hasn’t slept, of course. He never sleeps in such situations. He was likely watching him all night and conversing with his care team. “Good. You gave us all quite a scare.”
“Sorry.”
“Oh, no, it’s not your fault, love. Not at all…Do you think you’re feeling well enough to have some breakfast?”
“Yeah.”
Dad gives him a relieved smile and then goes off to request a breakfast tray for him. It gets brought up within half an hour, and even though Matthew feels a bit nauseous from the steroids in his system, he knows he needs to eat to gain some energy back.
He’s given some pancakes, a fruit cup, and orange juice. He decides to make a move for the orange juice first because his mouth feels incredibly dry and gross. He picks up the carton and that’s when he notices just how shaky he still is. His hands are trembling violently from all of the bronchodilators in his system.
Dad quickly takes the carton from him, sticks a straw into it, and then brings it back up to Matthew’s lips. “Here, poppet, I’ll hold it for you.”
“…I can do it.”
“You’ll spill it. Don’t be stubborn.”
It doesn’t feel great to have poorer motor skills than a toddler, but Matthew sips some juice through the straw anyway, allowing himself to be fed because he doesn’t have a choice. He finishes the entire carton, one pancake, and half of the fruit cup before his stomach protests. Dad doesn’t seem too happy about him not finishing the meal, but he doesn’t push it either.
And just as he’s finishing up, he finds out Alfred and Papa are outside of the unit, waiting to be allowed in. He’s only permitted to have two visitors at a time, so Dad leaves to take a quick trip home to eat and shower while Alfred and Papa take watch next.
“Dude, you’re alive! Thank God, man. No offense, but you were looking really rough and out-of-it yesterday,” Alfred exclaims upon arrival, bright-eyed and full of pep as always. “It’s good to see you’re looking more like yourself now.”
“We’re so relieved, mon chou. Your father said you may be able to come home as soon as the day after tomorrow.”
“I hope so…Sorry for making everyone worry.”
Alfred throws his hands up in the air and shakes his head dramatically. “I have to teach you everything, don’t I, Mattie? You’re not supposed to apologize for being sick. You’re supposed to milk it for all its worth and make everyone feel bad for you and buy you get well soon gifts. Tell Dad when he comes back that you wanna play the new Pokemon Snap on the Switch.”
“That’s what you want to play, Alfred.”
“Yeah, but we can share it, right?”
“Alfred, your brother is seriously ill, and all you’re thinking about are video games again! Where did your father and I go wrong? You could show some sympathy!” Papa scolds, pinching the bridge of his nose in aggravation.
“It was a joke! Kinda…Obviously, I love ya, Matt! I was really worried, too!”
And he has never craved normalcy as much as he does now.
Yup. Things are already going back to normal.

ATLA Modern Au HCs
Aang
appa in this world is a giant shaggy dog, probably a mastiff
aang seems like the type to ride a skateboard, and also wear beanies, that type, he likes taking appa on walks (or well, runs) while riding, and still somehow never manages to fall
Aang is also the type to play a bunch of sports, not exactly competitive, but he just loves having fun, absolutely seems like the type to just be chilling one moment, and then get the ZoomiesTM the next, you know?
Katara
surfer chick, and very good (and competitive)
she seems like the type to be really interested in zodiac signs, you know? like i have absolutely no idea what any of it means, but i feel like she'd definetly know all her friends signs and whatever,
she's interested in nursing, but also takes karate lessons, and not just any regular defense classes, like, the brutal shit.
sokka
was absolutely a fuckboy, then suki broke his jaw, and it was basically night and day (basically just like the show)
it is absolutely not safe to roast him or his friends, he will fucking destroy you, and like, in seconds too (thank god he has strong friends, his tongue has written him some goddamn checks let me tell you)
he is way smarter than he appears, like, you'd be talking to him in lunch, or see him around, and have those expectations of what he's like in class, but no, he's much smarter than he let's on, and usually does really good in class (do NOT ask him to tutor you, though, he seems like he'd be bad at that, Katara is the safer bet)
toph
still blind, still like, a teenager, still an actual professional wrestler. like, seriously, i'm not joking here, she does moonsaults and german suplexs 30 year old men who weight 200 pounds, and you can't stop her.
goes to a public school even though like, her family has a wikipedia page dedicated to them, like she's Rich rich. but low-key about it cause she doesn't give a damn about any of that type of money, she had her documents forged in advanced so the staff and students didn't know who she was (she refuses to wear shoes, the school tried to make her, she wrote them a 500k check and told them to fuck off, the obliged)
for a blind girl, she likes really, really loud music, head thumping heavy metal music, she still somehow hears people when they call for her while she has her earbuds in, nobody knows how, she's like, a goddamn cryptid.
zuko
another Rich rich kid, also pretty chill about it, he also goes to a public school, not out of him rebelling, though, but cause his dad didn't bother to sign him up into any private school, it was azula who rebelled against daddy dearest and went to school with him (i like the idea of zuko and azula actually being like, close, ok?)
fiercely protective of his friends and sister, he has gotten into the Most fights in the school (and several known creeps, along with the weird science teacher, got attacked by a person in a blue demon mask, all ending up in the hospital, said teacher got fired for being...too close with some female students)
he's also skilled in like, tons of shit, he's taken kickboxing, played soccer, knows how to play a guitar, and still for some reasons tells everyone he meets that azula is the smart one.
Azula
she is, EVERYWHERE, smartest girl in the school, the best grades, in basically any and every club, head cheerleader, all of it.
to be clear, in this Au, azula isn't like, That different, she's still snarky, has a silver tongue that cuts like a knife if she wants, can probably kill you (and would) in most ways, and the smartest person in basically any given room, but she's also like, human, and something was different enough in their childhood which made azula realize that "maybe dad is wrong, and i should stick by zuko" and it's done wonders for her, despite their fathers displeasure (she is planning on killing him once she's 16 though, like, honest to god, has a google doc for it and everything, so i mean, the more things change)
she secretly is obsessed with pokemon, the only other person who knows is zuko.
every single one of them is Bi, or at least, very Very comfortable with their sexuality. like, sokka and azula seem very much like the types to lounge about, and cuddle with literally anyone. they also basically flirt with anyone, sokka and zuko have kissed several times, and like, they aren't romantically interested in each-other, it's very much "this is my husband sokka, this is his husband zuko" type situation. aang is the type of person who was like out of the closet at birth like, he never even considered liking boys and girls at the same time wasn't an option. azula and katara also founded their schools LGBTQ+ club, and anyone who tried to stop it's formation, or get it banned, got lit on fire.
there's other characters i wanna do, but can't think of anything for them yet,
ship wise, i'm feeling pretty feral, sokka is probably gonna be with suki (and get pegged) i'm feeling like katara would get a girlfriend in this particular au, who she'd be with idk yet. i'd also pair up toph and aang, but, zuko and azula, is what's troubling me, cause, i could pair azula with katara, i do like that ship, and i could do something interesting, like maybe pair zuko with someone strange like jet, or ty lee, since mai honestly kinda bores me, but i'm feeling...kinda zucest, here? like, i know, I Know. but, azula is the type who doesn't exactly understand right or wrong, and doesn't really get what society may feel as taboo, that's why her sexuality is so clear to her, and she's not afraid to be open about it, so like, she loves her brother, you know? this does not seem like something that'd be unusual for the character. my problem here is, what does this mean for zuko, especially when he learns of these feelings? well, from a very early age, they've relied on each other, dad basically disowned zuko, and mom was convinced azula was the devil, so when they needed comfort, they went to each other, once they realized they're being played against each other, and that's been the story since basically childhood onto high school, she's the one who tutors him if he falls behind on any subject, he's the one who helps her make more friends, even if he himself can be anti-social, they're both equally protective, if i was gonna go the Safe route, i'd say he should turn her down, and they'd have a stronger relationship cause of it, But... the devil on my shoulder is telling me he wouldn't be as against it as he should be, that it's more in character than i'd like to admit. and, while, obviously, the elephant in the room is still prevalent, i can't just, ignore what seems like the natural progression of these two characters given the situation i've put them in,
(please god don't kill me for this, i don't normally ship taboo ships like this, i literally just can't think of a way where i can pair them with anyone in this particular Au)

Some hypotheticals behind "baby" Legendary Pokemon, including my process behind how I came to points I did and things I'd imagine them to do when they're young. Starting with Kalos!:
Xerneas: It and Yveltal naturally were the easiest to come up with; one would've been a fawn, the other a chick. For Xerneas I really tried getting into the frailness that a fawn has, and the caution around people. It'd still be large, even for a fawn (around the same size as your typical adult deer in the real world) but it's height wouldn't be too much a hindrance in the wild. Xerneas fawns aren't left alone- typically they follow the parent around until they're able to walk steadily, graze easily, and be able to fend for themselves. As babies, they're sensitive to human disturbance; they live in the deepest reaches of forestry- although it isn't unheard of for stray fawns to wander off and end up near a settlement, it's extremely rare to spot even then because of their nature to hide at perceived threats. The spots on their coat can both reflect light and change colors, aiding in their ability to hide from danger.
Yveltal: Based loosely off the hoatzin's chicks, a young Yveltal grows out of the claws on its wings after molting into its first adult plumage. As a chick, its down is well-suited for insulation and blending into rocky outcroppings; Yveltal are known to nest either at high altitudes or dormant volcanoes, both of which tend to be fairly undisturbed places. While young and still fledging, chicks tend to pick up a hot streak of hunting on anything they can get their talons on- while not particularly aggressive per sé, they're absolutely rambunctious and can leave injury through even thick clothing. Speaking of talons, when young, their claws are black- the keratin eventually becomes weathered and worn as they grow, becoming more grey over time.
Zygarde: A solitary Zygarde is the most common depiction of one, and for good reason. Once enough Cells and Cores coalesce, a Zygarde is "born" and is left to fend for itself. While young and still growing, it lives mainly underground, burrowing through soil and making a sizable gallery for itself to dwell upon. As it grows, over time the amount of green on it's body is replaces by more black, and also darkens once it leaves its burrow to live aboveground. The feelers on its sides serve similarly to whiskers- they detect vibrations while burrowing, and are sensitive to changes in wind or air pressure when not underground.
Diancie: "Born" most commonly around colonies of Carbink, Diancie young are soft-bodied and vulnerable. They use the Carbink to their advantage, gaining protection from threats by living among them and being raised by them until its body hardens up. Its crystals are still developing as well, and it isn't uncommon for newborn Diancie to actually have other gems on its body; it sheds them with age to be replaced by the signature pink diamonds. The same is true of the hard white sheet of rock around its shoulders- it begins soft, almost like a sheet of sorts, before growing along with the Diancie and hardening as another layer of protection.
Hoopa: When young, Hoopa has no real way of being confined. Hotheaded and boisterous, it's been known to pick fights with Pokemon much larger than itself, despite whatever power imbalance there may be. The fur on its body ces in different lengths and layers, depending on the living conditions around it. No matter the environment however, a young Hoopa will have a tail packed with fat and other nutrients to support its growth into am adult- similar to how both geckos and gila monsters will store reserves inside its tail as well. The hole in its chest is nearly completely covered by fur when young, and it is still gaining control over its legs and arms- this gives it a disadvantage in fights, due to its unwieldiness and all the learning it still has to do.
Volcanion: Based loosely off turtle hatchlings, and very similar to Zygarde, Volcanion young grow up alone. Born from small clutches, the young remain until the last egg hatches, then they all take their separate ways. Newborn Volcanion have a hefty control over the steam and water they can eject, as it is their primary defense system at this age. Dangerous, it cannot use these resources indefinitely, so it sparingly goes into the attack when defending itself. Babies are primarily non-predatory and even complacent with people, if exposed to them enough and given enough time to healthily grow. When feeling threatened, Volcanion young will make a series of dry barks and defensive postures- this includes aiming its ejective appendages at the threat and blowing a warning steam from its vents. If found and raised well as a newborn- a hard task that isn't impossible because of its voracious appetite at such an age- it's quite easy for one to become tame and a regular visitor to specific places in a town, or to a person's backyard.

"Go fish." Oikawa says with a straight face.
Matsukawa huffs and picks up a white card from the middle of the table, "just when I had Uno."
"Suck it up." Hanamaki smirks, "Eevee uses quick draw. Draw a card, Iwaizumi."
"No, because you activated my trap card." Hajime flips over a card that was on the table.
"That doesn't count!" Oikawa yells.
"Yes it does." Matsukawa defends.
"No, it doesn't." Hanamaki cuts in, trying to avoid losing.
"What does the card czar say?" Oikawa turns to look at you.
You hold cards from Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Uno, Cards Against Humanity and a regular deck of playing cards. You're not sure what you're playing right now, but the upcoming third years seem to have played this before, seeing as they don't have a lick of confusion written on their faces. Next to the large deck in the middle of the table sits a cup of dice. "Er... Makki and Hajime roll a, um, D6 for initiative. Highest number goes first, so, um, their card will be the affective one."
The group around you nods. Makki rolls a 3, then Hajime follows up with a 6. Makki groans in defeat.
You nearly sigh in relief, you weren't sure if what you said was even close to what you were supposed to do.
The summer break of your second year in highschool, all the second years had decided to go together on a volleyball summer camp in Tokyo. Naturally, they convinced you to tag along as well. The camp was split between age groups, middle school and highschool were grouped together and being taught by adults, while elementary was being taught by adults as well as teenagers. The camp had no need of volleyball managers, so you had submitted an application to be part of the staff supervising and teaching the elementary kids.
Because of your decision to be part of staff, you were required to go to the camp at least a week early to get the basics of both teaching and safety for the camp. There, you found out that because the amount of people coming to this summer's volleyball camp was much more than they normally had, middle school and highschool would be separated this year and they needed extra hands for the middle school division. You had volunteered, meaning you would be supervising both middle school and elementary.
Later, you found out they were getting an extra influx of campers because they had decided to make the camp co-ed. You grumbled about it when you found out the camp was co-ed. You must not have seen the option when you signed up online, likely because Oikawa had been pestering you to bump a ball around with him while you applied. Stupid Oikawa.
It was only the third day of camp (and your tenth day of being there), but you were already so very tired and excited to leave. The camp itself would last three full weeks. Afterwards, you would be forced to stay behind an extra few hours to help clean the school that had allowed the camp to use their campus. Luckily, you managed to rope your fellow second years into staying behind with you to help clean up as well. Matsukawa owed you one for spraining your wrist the month before (even though it was an accident, you still successfully guilt tripped him), Matsukawa had asked Hanamaki to stay behind as well, Hajime had given you a shrug and simply stated "wherever you go, I go", and Oikawa had given into peer pressure.
You rarely got breaks during the day and practically only saw your classmates at night after the elementary and middle school's curfew. Highschool did not have an assigned curfew, which is why you were sat on the floor in front of a coffee table in the common room of some other school's dormitory with your classmates playing an abomination of a card game while three of your underclassmen (which surprisingly included Kyotani) sat on the couches around you.
It was already surprising to see Oikawa up late since he was so strict with himself when it came to his schedule (with the exception of studying other teams' past games before tournaments), but what was really shocking to you was seeing your boyfriend and his best friend come down the stairs at 12am.
It seems your classmates already knew he was here, judging by the lack of shock from everyone around you. The saltiness that immediately began to radiate from your friends and fill the atmosphere, however, was practically tangible.
"Wakatoshi! What are you doing here?" You jumped from your position on the floor to walk alongside him and Tendou, heading for the kitchen.
"Tendou wanted a snack." He shrugs.
"A little birdie told me that the kitchens stock midnight snacks after the middle and lower school's curfew!" Tendou practically bounced into the kitchen, opening up all of the cabinets and digging through the pantry to find a snack suitable to his taste.
Your boyfriend and you stood next to the kitchen island, waiting for him. "No, Toshi, I meant here. At camp. I didn't know you were coming."
"I tried to call you to tell you, but you never answered so I left a text."
"You did?" You tilted your head.
"He did!" Tendou chirped, his head poking around in the fridge, "he was even complaining about how you weren't answering. He got all worried cause his precious little girlfriend wasn't answering her phone~"
"When?" You asked.
He is quiet in thought for a moment. "Last week."
"Oh! I'm sorry, I must have forgotten to tell you I was coming here. The club kinda convinced me to come with them last minute, right before the application deadline." You explained.
"It's pretty cool you're here with us, though." Tendou began to empty out the freezer, looking for something. "Oh! You know what, Iwa-chan?"
You hum, "what?"
"I don't think you've met little Kenjiro yet, right?" Tendou asks, tossing a bag of frozen vegetables onto the countertop.
"Kenjiro...?" You think for a moment.
Ushijima slips an arm around your waist. "His last name is Shirabu."
"Hmm... Nope. Never met him." You confirm.
"He's our brand new up and coming setter. He'll be a second year when the school year starts, but he's already pretty good, right Wakatoshi?"
The man next to you nods, "he's very competent. He's here at the camp, too."
Tendou grumbles, "there's no ice cream sandwiches." He turns to you, "Iwa-chan! How come the guys upstairs had ice cream sandwiches? I can't find them anywhere!"
You let out a light laugh, "that's what you were looking for, Satori?" You remove yourself from your boyfriend's side and begin to head towards a freezer with a lock on it.
Tendou nods eagerly, "yep. Why's that got a lock on it?"
You fish out your lanyard from your pajama's pocket and attempt to find the right key out of all the keys you were given. "Because there are certain snacks only meant for the staff. The camp wants you guys eating as healthy as possible while you're here, even when it comes to snacks. It's why there's pretty much only protein bars in the pantry and fruits in the fridge."
"You have a key?" Ushijima asks from behind you.
You finally find the right key and pop open the fridge, "chocolate?" You ask. When you hear Tendou confirm it, you toss an ice cream sandwich his way. "Want a popsicle, Toshi?" You close and lock the freezer when he shakes his head no. "Yeah, I've got a key. I'm part of the staff. I gave my Seijoh boys some ice cream and popsicles earlier too. Oh, but make sure no one knows I gave you guys these."
"Oh, you're part of staff, huh." Tendou nods in understanding.
"That must be why I haven't seen you around the campus." Ushijima adds.
"Yup. I'm part of the middle school and elementary staff, so I don't see highschool a lot except for after curfew. And since I'm so busy with them, I pretty much never check my phone. Sorry about that, honey." You take your spot next to Ushijima's side once again and get onto your tippy toes press a kiss to his cheek.
Tendou almost visibly cringes, "I'm gonna go upstairs before I get any more uncomfortable. See you in our room, Wakatoshi-kun!" And with that, he leaves the kitchen happily munching on his ice cream, leaving you and your boyfriend alone.
Almost immediately, Ushijima's arms snake around your waist and he rests his forehead against yours. "You worried me."
"I'm sorry." You press another kiss onto his cheek and wrap your arms loosely around his neck.
He hums, "what are you doing after camp ends? My family wants to see you again."
"Sorry, my love. After camp I'm going to Sapporo with Oikawa."
He freezes, "just Oikawa?"
"Sorry, I shouldn't have phrased it like that." You bite back the urge to laugh at his reaction, "I'm going to Sapporo with my family and Oikawa's family. We go every Summer, it's tradition. My uncle and my aunt live up in Sapporo, so we usually stay until the last week of vacation. Nowadays, though, the adults and Takeru usually leave early for work, so me, Hajime, and Oikawa get left alone, anyway."
"I see. That sounds fun."
"Yeah. It is. I look forward to it every year. I'm sorry I won't get to visit your family, though."
"They will understand. It's nothing to worry about."
"Can I postpone the visit until the last week of summer? We can all go to the festival together." You hop onto sit on the island's countertop and pull Ushijima to stand between your legs.
He tucks his head into the crook of your neck, his hair lightly scratching you. "Yes, that sounds like fun. My cousins missed you."
"Pfft. Which ones? You have so, so, so many." And he did. His extended family may as well have extended to the entire country of Japan. When you had gone to visit his family during the holidays, there were so many people at his house it was hard to move around. And even then, he had told you that that was only a few of his relatives.
"Hayato missed you very much." He huffed.
Despite trying not to laugh out loud, your body betrayed you when you began to shake from your attempts at stopping yourself. Hayato, who was four when you last saw him, had claimed that he would steal you away from Ushijima and be the one to marry you. Immediately following that, another one of Ushijima's younger cousins had said she had already claimed you to be her playmate for life, so you would be unable to marry either little Hayato or Ushijima. "Your family is certainly a fun one."
"I'm glad you get along with them, but I won't be able to have you to myself at any point during the Summer."
"My first day back. I'll be all yours. I promise."
"You promise?"
"All yours, my darling love." You lean your head against his.
This feeling, being wrapped in the arms of the love of your life in the middle of the night, was pure bliss. The only accompanying noises were the muffled shouts of your best friends from the other room, and the thrumming of the kitchen appliances around you. And still, despite the incredibly unromantic environment, you couldn't help but feel yourself fall for the man in your arms even more. Yes, perhaps you were too young to be in love. Sure, highschool relationships won't always last. But this feeling was one you wanted to savor, and you were not planning on letting him go any time soon.
This is not a fairytale life. Ushijima certainly had the grace and looks of a Prince Charming, but, unlike in the storybooks, whether or not the clock strikes twelve would not matter. You would not run away and you would not be leaving a shoe at the steps. Instead, you would continue to rest in the arms of the man you love. And sure, there would be no huge, elaborate castle or jewels tossed your way, but this was more than enough.
Fin.
