how can anyone support Posie Parker/Kellie-Jay Keen? She claims to be standing for women and giving women a voice but she's said that any woman who disagrees with her rabid transphobia will be 'annihilated' (and won't let women who oppose her speak at Let Women Speak rallies), is openly homophobic (and doesn't think gay couples should have kids), takes money from far right groups eg CPAC, and has spoken MULTIPLE TIMES about why birth control and abortion should be restricted further. Like if you seriously think she's even vaguely close to being some defender of women you need your head screwed on straight.

Ya know, the problem isn’t even that some people don’t want to see others in bondage or kinky clothings at Pride because of personal reasons, like, if that’s their sensibility/preference or however one wants to call it than fine, look the other way buddy I don’t know what to tell you.

Censoring people of the Queer community by using the “think of the children” rhetoric is an argument as old as time, that was first used mostly for gay people, and is now used a lot to get rid of Drag Queens and Trans people, so I don’t even think I should explain why it’s a stupid argument and why I am not going to take it seriously, thank you.

Plus, again, this is an argument I see often used when white queers talk about black/poc queers, or when cis queers talk about trans or gender non conforming queers, so no, I am not going to take it seriously.

Also, Pride is not about you individual queer person, it’s about ALL THE QUEERS, of any shape, form or taste. Censoring someone from what is also their day because you don’t like them there by your side, or you want only those that you consider the “good type” of queer is honestly infuriating. What’s personally infuriating is that these are arguments that do not come from random people on the internet, but that are used by three queer friends of mine.

Friends which: did not know the difference between bisexual and pansexual, had no idea what a demiboy or demigirl was, thought that having more than three genders was impossible because they did not feel outside of the binary, honestly asked me “what is a woman?” and said that answering “nothing and everything” was too stupid and that the “allies” would not understand it, and needed me to explain to them what being non-binary meant (I am *cis).

But that for some reason they think that they know what’s best for the community, who should be at Pride, and how to make the cishets like us.

But you guys know what? Fine, may they believe what they want. Those three are never even going to a Pride Parade, may they continue to fight against those that should be their siblings, may they never care about other queers that are different from them.

It’s their own fucking loss, if they won’t even listen to my reasonings, they can continue to be bigoted.

Why help each other, when you can just fight those different from you am I right?

Im a very big proponent of lying and/or withholding information on the internet, ESPECIALLY if you belong to a marginalized group. This entire blog is about trans men and i purposely tag my posts to get as much spread as possible. This blog is not private; it's huge and very public facing. And that invites the usual bigotted assholes; transphobes, mostly terfs, weirdly a lot of the forced pregnancy crowd. Those people are dangerous in their own right with doxxing, mass reporting, and stalking irl. Thats why I keep shit vague. Sasha is not my name, is not related to my name, and is not a name i have ever gone by. My age is 21+ and that's all you get. I'm in the northeast usa, which is hugely populous but relevant to my posts about medical care which is why it doesnt just say "american." When I post pictures of my top surgery results, my face is never in them, and I censor identifying scars and tattoos.

Now personally im not uber worried about run of the mill bigots. I block preemptively. I have code in my blog that allows me to see who is viewing it, when, and where from. I feel safe enough with the precautions I take that this kind of harassment doesn't bother me.

What *does* bother me is pissbabies who dont know queer history dragging me into pointless discourse, and fandom police. These are not people I *ever* want finding my main blog. This blog is a side project- I saw a hole in the community, a lack of positivity for trans men, and I wanted to help fill it. My main is my home on the internet. I love how so much people want to "help" men while telling men in general they don't matter, and they should all die.

When your radfem literature posits that to be a woman is to be oppressed and to be a man is to be an oppressor of that woman, not by deed but by existence of the difference between demographics (that will exist until either they all die or the sun burns out, perpetually), and you genuinely believe that kind of nonsense as if it's a rule of physics, you don't tend to care if someone of the persona nongrata group dies or not. They're just Looking Out for Number 1.

But they genuinely believe adopting these hideous beliefs about how one class is bad and oppressive by the nature of its existence (they've just decided that class is now one demographic, it really didn't matter which, and now they're sticking to it) actually helps a person understand anything and modify themselves around that new normal and reality. They genuinely believe that getting with that program will somehow lead them towards "positive change." Unfortunately it's the same sort of positive change that accepting any given religion's metaphysical dogma leads to. You just wind up with a church power structure based on that metaphysical rule. And, that's what the people that made that were hoping for. A power structure and institution in government and given societal credibility, even if just because everybody is forced to participate and acknowledge their principles and self-censor or modify themselves to them to avoid punishment, that's deferment enough.

That rhetoric tends to quiet down around people that aren't radfems, because they know this is a game of institutional power. Like the way a pedophile can have abhorent beliefs and desires and work on accumulating trust and a position of power with their hobbies on the downlow. And then when they're too big to take down, that's when "Hey maybe that age of legal consent thing is hogwash, perhaps.."

So their ideas of helping men tend to be to convince them maybe to stay out of Women (capital W to indicate the class, not just A Woman)'s way.

They also are the sort that believe society should have a deliberately constructed social safety net by demographic, and to prioritize those demographics for whom gets what in a famine of scarce resources based on 'most oppressed.' And, well. Given those beliefs fetishize the underdog, it's as much a reason to institute something that indicates, no matter the situation or how bad it gets, the Protected Classes are going to get that artery feedline to survive in hard times, paid for by the work and resources of those that are not the protected demographic, so, "Wouldn't you rather just have everybody forced to work for the all!? :)" Because at that point you're giving the taxpayers the ultimatum itself: Either miss out and make your life harder as society works itself around to take resources, time and opportunity from you because you won't get with the program, or you can push for your own stake from the state and also deplete the social welfare funds, but you must pay into them no matter what, and your money WILL go to people we favor, and you don't want to give money to."

Or they say some stupid shit like, "Men should do something to take care of themselves; it's not a woman's job. :^)" while, if men did mobilize to do that, suddenly it'd be condemned as a male chauvinist hate group refusing to include Women(the class) in the bounty, and consider that exclusion. The way they always react if men start getting any kind of funding for male-only shelters.

Because these people obsess about the "underdog" class and consider women to be the perpetually oppressed, and men to be the entrenched rich group oppressors, they logically cannot tolerate any institution or organization or any kind of structure that would specifically endow men alone with any advantage, as anything but proof "society just hates women." It doesn't matter that it would mean the barest of survival and attention, because their ideology and its logic has already concluded, those men getting help in that way represent society favoring men over women. They do NOT consider societal laws and social welfare programs to be exclusionary to women, because they consider women oppressed and therefore it doesn't count and they're entitled to them. Their recommended solution: Hand over a minimum of 50% of those resources and services to women, and preferably, 100%, and men can go pound sand.

And this criticism of men as oppressors is subjective and arbitrary, not based on any factual structure. There IS no organization in the state that favors men exclusively over women for receiving anything except maybe recognizing some school tuition will give you financing as a man- at best. So there's no proof in the pudding. Even having male-only fraternities is considered exclusionary of women, but they do not see women, the "oppressed demographic," concentrating themselves in exclusionary groups, to be exclusionary of men.

Radical Feminism has always been just the female-centered expression of Marxist logic and philosophy, and you can see that bullshit taken to its extreme in the Khmer Rouge. But, it occupies the niche that tries to argue it represents good, cares about women's equality and in fact embodies and defines what equality means, so to disagree with radical feminism, in their eyes, is like just opposing female equality.

Which is as nonsense as saying because you oppose the culture of a corrupt church, you either A.) hate that religion itself and all its adherents B.) hate all religion or C.) favor another, rival faith and must just see that religion as an existential threat to yourself, your future prospects and as competition.

So it's no surprise that when TERFs/Radfems are totally mask off, you get the same sort of vitriolic banter that you'd get from a member of the KKK on camera screaming about the validity of their group and invalidity of others. And then they put the mask on again around people that haven't gone down that rabbithole and accepted certain logical premises and emotionally accepted them as true, yet. Because they know they don't have the numbers of believers to cover for that, and they don't have the entrenched power to make that fly.

Needless to say, the recent "discourse" has me beyond horrified, not only as a parent of two young kids (and a decent fucking person), but as a survivor of CSA. The 911 fandom is a mess-mess. From “joking” that people should be allowed to publicly execute men for flirting with men in a way that gives them the “ick.” To arguing that queer men are liars and cheats who spread disease. To joking about queer men dying of AIDS. To routinely using either the mammy trope or “sassy black” trope to characterize the Black Women of the show. To routinely hypersexualizing—like—the token Latiné character or relying on the “sassy Latin” trope in their characterization of him, too. To defending ableism. To now defending CSAM and a literal pedophile who has written several fics featuring CSE (that are often mis-tagged, mis-described, mis-rated, and re-uploaded under new names to get people to accidentally read them).

And if someone’s response to “Hey, we should do something about this” is to go “Nooo! But my blorbo fan fantasies,” they need to log-off and go touch grass; spend several days talking to people in-person instead of through a screen. It’s about the most chronically online BS reaction someone could have.

As you said— this shit shouldn’t be broadcast for entertainment. And that’s what’s getting lost to people. These fics are very truly explicit material featuring sexual fantasies about children, and they’re being posted for arousing entertainment. The person may have claimed they were doing this to punish fans for supporting a (new) canon queer relationship, but given how they’ve expanded their tags to catch wider audiences, that is clearly not the case. They want you to read it and enjoy it.

Like… I understand that there are a lot of powerful men in important positions who uses moral affronts to CSAM to actually censor queer people or information on bodily autonomy. But assuming that anyone who claims to care about child sexual exploitation is actually lying and has nefarious motives is… dangerous. And fallacious. It is so-so important to actually analyze what an individual is saying and how. There’s a difference between “there should be a report function specifically for CSEM” and “we should shut this site down because the people who use it are porn-obsessed degenerates.” There’s a difference between “I don’t think this site should have an anonymous feature because it allows users to easily subvert a block, and protecting a block should be the responsibility of the site, not the individual user” and “this site is full of dangerous kinks that could give kids ideas, so all of it must go!”

But if you can just lump anyone who disagrees with you into one group and label them “bad and oppressing me,” then you don’t need to critically analyze your own gut/emotional reaction to what they said. And what they said might have actually been a fairly reasonable—and incredibly moderate—step forward.

All I suggested was more robust blocking and reporting mechanisms on a BETA site.

It’s telling that they only bring out the chronically online names and discourse terms when it’s about CSAM. Many (but definitely not all) of the very people going to bat for never, ever changing Ao3 because it’s “perfect” were also the same people who unironically argued that two adult fictional men over the age of 30 joking about a 10 yr or less age gap between them are “predatory” and “making light of incestuous abuse.” Although, IDK what else I could expect from people who “joked” that they hoped certain fans would kill themselves over fictional characters.

But anyway, I kept getting a lot of "Feminist" videos when they are actually Terf videos disguise as feminist videos or just flat-out Terf videos but don't want to use the word Terf because "it's a hateful thing to say." There's a reason why I don't put feminist on my bio because many folks already (sadly) have come to the assumption that feminism/feminist means an all-women club aka "bio women" only.

When... no... feminism was started by women but only because in the working force women were really seen as stay-at-home wives. But because of the women's rights movement is when the law became more lenient in allowing women to work.

Feminist also means helping others such as men of different races as well to get proper jobs and payment as well. That sentence is gonna confuse someone sorry, to ramble more on what I mean. You have to understand the payment system. It's still a problem in today but way way back then, it was a lot worse. Many foreigners that came to America weren’t getting proper payment or not paid at all. But were really taken advataged at the fact they were aliens so their boss would make threats to them such as getting them deported or worse.

A list of common jokes and phrases used in the radfem community:

Adult human female- used to respond to the what is a woman question, the word female is often used to refer to sex and therefore exclude TIMs from a statement

Brave and stunning- used when joking about how trans people are treated like hero’s after ‘coming out’

Clocking- to clock someone as trans is to realise their biological sex instantly even if they try hide it

Dogs are terfs- as animals tend to bark at males (including TIMs whether they like it or not) people will joke about specific animals being ‘natures terfs’ as they can clock (and will respond aggressively to) transfems

LGBT/Drop the T/LGB without the T- a slogan to remove trans people from the LGB community

Erasing woman- the concept that the trans rights movement is trying to replace and appropriate womanhood

Gender abolitionist: someone who believes that gender is based in misogynistic stereotypes (with atypical ‘genders’ like nonbinary being applied to GNC people) which should be destroyed

Gender fandom- the idea that the trans/gender ideology acts like more of a fandom than a real movement

Gender socialisation- the idea that the stereotypes that makeup gender are forced into your mind at a young age through socialisation so you assume they’re truth

Genital preference- a phrase used by trans people (and mocked by radfems) which they use to describe real lesbianism/gayness (eg. If you’re a gay man who doesn’t like vagina then that’s just a genital preference [some genderists claim having this ‘preference’ Is transphobic but that’s a whole other can of worms)

It’s okay to be bi- as gay/lesbian defines being attracted to the same sex (straight being same sex and bi being both sexes) if a lesbian was ok with dating a trans woman then they by definition are bisexual and they should be okay with that

Kweer- as ‘queer’ is a slur against the LGB (even though it’s become popularised and is now used as the name for the community) some radfems will censor the word when using it to describe the LGBT

Male violence- this is pretty self explanatory but it describes violence committed by men (which includes transfems)

My sex is not a costume- a slogan used to fight against men who disguise themselves as woman and claim the woman experience as their own while maintaining the capability to ditch the responsibilities of being a woman whenever they’d like (as though they’re wearing a costume [don’t think I explained this one too well])

Pornsick- describes the normalisation of porn addiction, BDSM, kink culture, etc among males (and the abuse it causes woman)

Quesadilla test/meme- the joke that as transfems weren’t raised female they wouldn’t have been taught basic cooking skills as kids (like woman are due to sexist stereotypes) such as how to make a quesadilla

Save/protect woman’s sports/rights/bathrooms- again pretty self explanatory but as trans people are trying to invade woman’s spaces common protests to this can talk about protecting these rights

Sex not gender- a social media tag which references how woman are oppressed based on their sex and erasing that means discrimination against women goes unnoticed

Sex based rights- a slogan which indicates the fight of sex based rights which include any rights which when taken away only affect one of the 2 sexes (eg. Abortion rights)

TERF is a slur- while some people accept the title terf others fight against it with the arguement being that it is used as a slur against women

Trans cult- you may see the transgender movement referred to as a cult in radfem circles, this is because of the criminalisation of doing your own research in these groups (as well as other cult like ideologies they possess)

Trans agenda/gender ideology- the idea that the trans movement has its own secret goals (like invading women’s spaces and eradicating lesbians/gays by transitioning them and replacing them with fake ‘transbians’)

Trans rights are men’s rights- a play on the common phrase ‘trans rights are human rights’ which identifies the facts that they sex most benefitted by trans activism is men

Uterus haver- a phrase commonly used by TRAs when referring to biological women, radfems may occasionally use this title for satirical reasons

Vegan cat- is a reference to the joke ‘a trans child is like a vegan cat; we all know who made the decision (and it’s not the cat)’, implying trans kids have been brainwashed or influenced by their parents into being trans

Womanface- a slogan used to compare being a trans woman to blackface as being trans is using womanhood like a costume (see above)

Peaking- to peak is to become a terf (the radfem equivalent of becoming red pilled)

Gender critical/gencrit- the belief that while sex is inherent gender is a social construct

Gender abolitionist- someone who believes gender is a social construct which re-enforces gender roles and therefore needs to be destroyed

Peak trans- a phrase used when a tras mask slips and you can see the misogynist talking points underneath

why do you guys act like the word lesbian is a slur like I get using wlw/nblw, sapphic or queer in certain contexts to include more people, I literally do that myself, but when you don't hesitate in being specific and calling someone bi or pan and on the same context exclusively refer to a canonically lesbian character or an openly lesbian person as only "sapphic" or "wlw/nblw" or "queer" or when you censor the word lesbian to l3sb1an or call us "le dollar beans" or call the lesbian flag "the wlw/nblw flag" "the sapphic flag" it really does feel like you're treating lesbian as a dirty word. Like lesbian is this unspoken swear word that has more negative connotation then good ones.

I can't search the word "lesbian" on Google without the search bar hiding the search options or whatever they're called because it automatically assumes I'm looking for porn. Men and lesbian-fetichizers have turned "lesbian" into a dirty and pornographic word and you guys, as much you hide behind wokeness and acceptance and witty tumblr jokes, only further prove this. And when you guys to somehow manage the courage to say the word lesbian it's like it's always to stereotype us, "the mean lesbian" trope is not as funny as you think it is, it's actually quite tiring seeing that's all you see us as. Or the long rants and complaints about the lesbian community being full of terfs and transphobes when literally most of us are trans/have very complicated relationships with out own gender identity that comes with being a lesbian or how most terfs that identify as lesbians identify as "political lesbians" i.e. not lesbians at all.

And don't even get me started on how you pit wlws/nblws against each other, specifically pitting lesbians and bi women against each other (there is both biphobia and lesbophobia in each community that needs to be addressed, but the way we're pitted against each other on the internet is almost surreal)

Blog Introduction!!!

So I noticed that it’s been a very long time since I introduced myself to new followers and new mutuals! I’ll do a brief introduction and background on my blog and how it came to this point.

This blog (and the meaning behind this username) stemmed from being a “th*nspo”, ED blog. I have suffered from various eating disorders for nearly half my life, and I started this blog as a comping mechanism during those times. The name “prettygirlseat” is in counteracting & protesting the narrative in the ‘ed community’ about how pretty girls *don’t* eat (i.e another way to fuel starving oneself). I changed my username once I started active recovery, and I can’t bear to part with it. I hold ED recovery very close to my heart, so you’ll often see pro-recovery content from me as well as ED awareness.

Pro-recovery (from any illness/disorder/addiction)

Pro-women: all women are women. TERFS can fuck right off, you are unwelcome) — I’m also pro women doing whatever the fuck they want (as long as they aren’t hurting anyone or themselves). There’s obviously more nuance to be added to the conversation around choice feminism, bimbofication, etc., and women don’t exist in a vacuum. Women and girls on tumblr especially have a somewhat accessible opportunity to get groomed by older men who pose as our friends. This is the internet. Until you meet someone in person (and often not even then), no one is your actual friend. PLEASE for the love of god do not disclose personal or sensitive information to just anyone. Also fuck diet culture.

Pro-sex: sex between informed and consenting adults is good and healthy. I think we should be aware of and sometimes critical of the things we enjoy in the bedroom, including the influences from society on the way we view sex. This includes the patriarchy, p*dophilia, etc. Sometimes abusers hide behind the guise of sex/BDSM/kink; when that happens it’s wrong and should be called out. P*dophilia and grooming are unfortunately everywhere, and you never know what someone could do behind closed doors. “MAPS” is not real and is nothing but a disgusting excuse for perversion. I am also pro-sex workers. Sex work is real work, and fuck Tumblr @staff for censoring content created by ADULTS for adults.

actively learning to be anti-racist. I am a white woman from lower middle class America, therefore I will never understand the struggles of black women, indigenous women, and women of color. I am a cisgendered woman, so I will never understand the struggles of trans people. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, floating somewhere between pansexual and demisexual. I like men, i like women, i like attractive people. I’m also spiritual, but I am ethically against the Catholic Church and shaming methods used by other major religions. I think anti-semitism is gross and dangerous and incredibly covert. Islamaphobia is also gross and shitty; let people practice their religions in peace. Ableism. Look it up. It’s everywhere and people with disabilities/chronic illnesses deserve happy and safe lives like everyone else.

Someone who thinks “dark humor” is gross. Incel culture is fucking weird and I actively will block anyone who I interpret to be an incel or a neon*zi. White supremacy is disgusting and needs to be called out every time.

Radfems and Sex Negativity in Fandom

It’s no surprise that radfems run rampant on this site but I feel like so many people absorb their rhetoric on accident without even realizing because so many people specifically think of terf behavior when they think of radfems. And while terf behavior is definitely radfem behavior and you’re right to watch out for it, a lot of the time they spread other harmful ideas outside of loathing trans people. And I believe it has done near irreparable damage to tumblr-centric fandom.

 Things radfems believe as the next logical steps to their gender essentialist world view:

 - all men are inherently predatory and thus all sex involving both men and women (or other things like porn featuring women) is oppressive for happening under the patriarchy by default 

 - all kinks are just making this predatory nature nakedly obvious and are all inherently abusive, regardless of if anyone involved is actually being hurt

 - the way to fix these problems is through shame and abstaining from porn, kink, straight sex, etc and calling for limiting or censoring content

 In fandom people constantly shame women for being harmlessly interested in men (real or fictional). In fandom we constantly treat every kink as if it’s evil and is just obvious abuse or a euphemism for something else (like how ddlg is secretly about pedophilia somehow, writing student/teacher fic is clearly the same). In fandom we constantly act as though we should stop harmless sexual content and activities through shame or a call for censorship. 

 These are not new, groundbreaking leftist ideas. This is right wing anti-sex fear mongering with a fresh coat of paint. Anytime you see someone being shamed for liking the new tumblr sexy man, or writing kinky fanfic, or speaking out against blatant calls for censorship, you should be weary. Because that is someone being hurt by radfem rhetoric and people rarely notice or acknowledge it. A big part of the reason the anti-ship/fanpol movement is so american centric is because so many traditional anti-sex radfem spaces are american centric. These ideas make up a lot of fanpol talking points and it seems to fly over a lot of the general fandom publics heads because it doesn’t sound explicitly terf-y.

We need to make more of an effort to educate people on non-terf radfem talking points so we can staunch the flow of young fandom types falling into the insidious and insulting anti-kink anti-sex pit. We need to call out this behavior when we see it and not just make quippy remarks about purity culture in general, because this is a very specific kind of attitude that’s found in the biggest modern day transphobic and sexist public speakers. If you agree with the above talking points or are threatened by things like kink or porn even existing on a moral level, you should take a step back and ask yourself why it is you believe these things and if you being public with these opinions is doing more harm than good.
