anyway, as i’ve discussed on this blog before, i’m very arospec and it’s inseparably intwined with my identity itself; i also project that onto catra. something we often bring up in that community, is romance-favorability (as its own spectrum of range all the way to blatant repulsion btw) — which is a personal preference that’s defined as exactly as it sounds like and occasionally revolves around fictional depiction as separate from one's own reality — and arguably more importantly, amatonormativity — which is an arbitrary set of rules for romantic expectations set up by an alloromantic society. this is typically thought of as common denial of the idea that someone could actually want to separate themself from needing a life partner in marriage, but can very much be applied to an annoying list of what draws the line between romantic & platonic relationships. that line is very individualistic and is to be decided on such a level only, and it doesn’t even get into what queerplatonic means, a concept saved for another day!

my point is, the OP seems to be trying to claim that catradora objectively cannot be read as romantic because their dynamic growing up & early-on in the story doesn’t perfectly meet socially-constructed standards of what that should look like. i say we need to eradicate those standards altogether! it’s up to catradora to decide what they are, if anything specific at all, not us as the audience — assuming they could’ve had the words at their disposal to knowingly describe it. going back to my earlier paragraph above about how limited they were in the fright zone, i’ll borrow a quote from a comment i made on one of my recent reblogged posts (which is a great meta on how their mutual desire was uh... definitely not platonic):

I am very curious on where you got that idea. What law or founding document did you read that made you think babies don’t have the right to life because they need their mother to maintain their life. You know babies are also dependent on others to maintain their life after being born? So I’m assuming you think it’s ok to kill babies after birth as well. Otherwise you would be inconsistent.

Ah yes. The organ donation argument. You use “classic” to describe it. I like to call it the “overused” and “thoroughly debunked” argument that y’all won’t let die even though it demonstrates that you really don’t understand what abortion is. This is why I ask y’all to actually take some time to learn about abortion before continuing to support it.

Let’s go over all the ways your kidney argument is very bad and does not justify abortion at all.

1. First, the situations are not similar. Not at all. Using a situation that does not match abortion in any way shape or form does not justify abortion. You would have to make up a similar situation in order for this to make sense. This just shows you don’t know what you’re talking about.

2. There is a big difference between not saving the life of a dying person and intentionally killing a healthy person who would have continued to live without your interference, k? Until you can understand that very big difference you are not ready for the abortion debate.

3. Organ donation does not require you to actively kill a person. Do you understand that? The only way to make organ donation comparable to abortion is if you were going to argue that it would be ok for you to then stab the person who needs the kidney after deciding not to donate yours.

4. Abortion is not organ donation. Deciding you don’t want your baby does not give you the right to commit a subsequent act of violence. It does not give you the right to actively and intentionally kill a child.

5. You’re not obligated to save the life of a dying person. You are obligated not to murder someone.

So in short, no you can’t be forced to donate a kidney but you still can’t kill babies. Get it now?

Do you understand there is a difference between dying a natural death and being murdered? It’s important that you understand that. You see, the right to life, which does apply to people even if they are in a dependent state, is not the right not to die, but it does mean other people cannot take it upon themselves to end your life.

You very clearly do not even understand bodily autonomy either. It applies to your body only and it does, in fact, have limitations. Making a decision about what happens to your body does not mean you have the right to harm another person’s body. Your bodily autonomy ends where the baby’s body begins. Because that is a different body that you don’t have bodily autonomy for. Bodily autonomy is not the right to kill. It’s very important that you understand that as well.

You mistakenly think that a sick person dying because no one donated a kidney is the same thing as inducing a heart attack in a baby and then ripping their body apart. That is extremely ignorant and I encourage you to educate yourself on this matter. Feel free to ask me any questions you have. I feel like I have a tumblr anon in my brain…. Like a tiny cop. But it’s an chronically online anonymous weirdo. And every thought I have, I get “anons” telling me how it’s problematic and I should kill my self LOL The other morning I saw an RFK sign and I thought doesn’t he have brain worms, someone running for president shouldn't have brain worms. maybe apply for literally any other job. and the anon was like ummm ableist much? Like WHAT. I turned off anon on tumblr a while ago, so even if I post something “risky”, someone will have to tell me what they think to my face. They can’t hide. Even posts I think are innocuous can be wildly misinterpreted, and someone will probably call me problematic. But even if no one says anything, I still hear it. In my brain. Sometimes I delete things because the thought is so strong. I’m probably not gonna make it to any heaven or enlightenment because I can’t forgive yourfaveisproblematic. In my mind, Tumblr was great before then, or at least it felt that way, and that blog sewed the seeds for cancel culture in the future. That stuff sticks to my brain, even if I don’t want it too. When you put sins like "said disabled people shouldn't be alive" on the same level as "has a tattoo in a language they don't natively speak," it is very confusing to a people-pleasing undiagnosed autistic 14 year old. I felt/feel like I can’t like anyone or anything because it’s ~problematic~ I worry it will never go away, because it affected me in my developing years, 14-19 I want to get better, but it’s hard. I wish I could run from the internet, but I can’t. It’s a part of life now. It’s how we stay connected. But it’s also like…. Idk. The internet used to be my safe space, right? Deviantart. Early tumblr. Seeing weird people like me made me feel less alone. I was a weeb surrounded by “preps” for lack of a better word, not that I didn’t have friends but NONE of them were into what I was into, you know? And no one became as obsessive about things like books and anime like I did, except online. But now it’s like, idk, corruption of the garden of Eden. But instead of me eating the fruit, the garden/internet ate the fruit. The world is too different now… I can’t keep up. And it’s not just because I’m getting older. Things happen faster now. Trends will last half a year when in the past they would have lasted a decade. I hate knowing everything all of the time. I hate that my garden is now a cesspool.

I’m just angry that people on tumblr and lefty spaces online are so blind to their own propaganda, and calling it out is “hate.” Like idk, I guess I expected better from people who are supposed to be ~intellectuals~. Well, if YouTube video essays have taught me anything, style over substance goes a LONG way. ANYWAY, he talks about how most people don't set out to be radicalized, the politics comes to them. That happened to me - but on the left. And I'm sure if I left a comment on his video saying as much, he'd say it didn't happen or say it was a good thing. On tumblr, I came for anime. And for the first year, I got anime. But then I got really intense political stuff. "silence is violence." "i see you not reblogging this." "if you're not angry, you're not paying attention." I was 14-15, sheltered as fuck, I don't know anything about the world but now tumblr is convincing me that I know more about political issues than anyone. And it changed me. And it fucked me up. and I want to get unfucked. But I don't know how. I feel like an internet alcoholic. Like, even if I do stop using it, it will still be there, haunting me, forever, you know? because all my friends use it, not just you guys but irl friends. and the internet is effecting the real world. I miss the days when there was the internet, then there was reality. but now the internet is the reality. That's why I also fell so hard for the [REDACTED] stuff. Tumblr made me think everyone was [REDACTED] because like 99% of tumblr is [REDACTED], and I was worried about it because god help you if you question anything or show the slightest bit of concern. God help you if you're not full steam ahead on everything. I want to escape the matrix. I hate the hypocrisy…. And I hate even more that I’m also a hypocrite. I fall for group think and propaganda but act like I’m above it all. I hate social media but use it every day. YouTube too. I guess that’s why I get so mad when I see them act like that. It reminds me of me. People think the consequences of social media on a teenage girl are like "omg I was feeling good about myself….. but then I saw a model on Instagram… alas. I will never be her. I weep."

But it's more like: Oh my gosh, I just saw a post asking for mutual aid (aka MONEY, BABY) and I scrolled past. What if they died because they couldn’t afford food because I didn’t reblog their post? But what if I DID reblog their post, but it was a scam, and I led my followers to give money to someone who didn’t need it instead of someone who did?

I was hoping to share more examples, but I'm worried someone will misinterpret, and even though anon is off, the anon in my brain is on. always. on. i keep going back to the internet because i keep expecting it to get good again… like how it was. for some reason, i can't accept that it will no longer be my safe space. i wish i had a massive angel to keep me out, or something. like the actual garden of eden. I have to accept that it will never get better. I have not only an addiction to the internet, but to the obsessive thoughts it brings. One of the “brand ambassadors” who is supposed to help TNT with the knowing and understanding the userbase is some celebrity who’s wife is also a celebrity who I’ve seen people CLAIM used to be a Neopets mod. Does that sound like a neopets user who can tell the neopets team what the average user wants? No call for users who aren’t celebrities to become brand ambassadors has been made afaik.

Current Neopets mods are silencing trans people for mentioning HRT as well as top surgery and ignoring cis people talking about pregnancy, death, and surgery. (Have seen these boards go on for several hours and never get deleted even after a heated debate on one one about abortion) 

There’s items and backstory on the site that are racist. Neopets users have asked these be addressed. Do you think this “brand ambassador” will address any of that? Why does the ambassador need to be a celebrity? Unless the actual intent is to have “ambassadors” who sell neopets as a brand to the potential new userbase and isn’t about “listening to the users” at all.

Elliott: he strikes me as a very gentle parent, he doesn’t like to give timeouts unless absolutely necessary since he always feels bad, especially if your kids only a toddler still since Theyer only learning right from wrong and it’s all brand new, he would love to read with your kid and colour pictures with them, he definitely loves doing bedtime with them because thats when the most stories are read! Also loves taking them to the beach to play in the sand or swim for a bit

Harvey: I don’t think he really knows what he’s doing to well, honestly it’s all a learning curve for him but with doing comes learning and he sure can learn, he’ll make healthy meals and a large variety of snacks for your kids and always takes them on walks, he’s the best when it comes to little ouchies and booboos like scraped knees or paper cuts, always has colorful little bandaids on hand for them! Cute little junimo themed ones and woodland creatures, will panic if they break a bone or something serious though, kids can be quite clumsy

Sam: he’s definitely a cool dad, he’s teaching your kids to skateboard and play guitar, feeding them pizza and joja cola. You have to inform him they can’t live off of those things and teach him how to make healthy foods and snacks for the kids but he picks up on it pretty easy, will probably call his mom for advice more then once but she’s always happy to help

Sebastian: he’s not entirely clueless in the baby department since he was around when maru was a baby, he likes to play games with them, teaches them how to play video games when They’re older so he can have a player two, also gets them into solarian chronicles, he’s the ultimate cool dad, will buy your kid a sword (probably a few honestly, it’s a collection they have together now) won’t however let your kids in the mines because he’s heard your stories of what’s down there and he doesn’t want them to get hurt

Shane: he’s been around jas a lot, he’s definitely applying whatever skills he’s gained from that to his own kid, loves to get them new toys. They have a whole Lego chicken coop complete with Lego chickens that they put together as a bonding activity. He does not know how to cook very many things but he will try, he doesn’t want to be seen as useless so he’s definitely putting in the effort! He asks you to teach him how to cook and how to put together cute snack plates (he definitely has those little shape cutouts for veggies so he can make little cucumber flowers and carrot bunny’s for your kids).

Alex: definitely an active parent, literally. Loves taking the kids on jogs and walks through town, will 100% use your toddler as a weight while he’s doing squats, just holds them on his shoulders the whole time, they think it’s hilarious and he gets in a workout, it’s a win win. If your kid wants to help him make breakfast he’s thrilled, tells them all about the nutrition and how it helps with the farm work and keeps your muscles fed and happy, of course he doesn’t deny the kid of sweets either, it’s all about balance,

ooh, we are social this week, which i’m digging! please note this isn’t an attack on anyone, this is just me adding to the conversation. so on the status of the fandom being dead. it is. (and this is a lot, cause i can’t shut up when i get going)

we can like sugar coat it all we want and say people don’t venture out to read or maybe they’ve lost interest in writing, but fandoms usually go dead—and this term doesn’t necessarily mean like absolutely NO FICS—it just means it wasn’t as hype as it was when the last season dropped, and that’s a literal fact. it’s been two years lol. summer of ‘22, i could refresh the eddie munson x reader tag and like 16 new fics and blurbs and posts would load every time, there was just so much fucking content—it was glorious and positive because there was so many people, way too many for people to start whatever bullshit ended up happening (that occurred during the first phase of people losing interest).

now if i refresh when i dare venture out to the tags (and we’ll get to that next), it’s not as frequent. plain and simple. it’ll pick back up when the next season drops, it’ll be all hype, and then it’ll die down again as the years go by. hell, even the supernatural fandom isn’t as wild as it used to be, and they were around for YEARS.

this is coming from someone who’s been here and read (and when i was just a reader, i lived in those tags) a specific steve fic for like 5 years because there wasn’t a ton of stuff being produced, yes some, but not even to the amount that’s coming out now. and that’s again because of the YEARS long gap. and the proof of that is in stonathan. we all know the gay ships are some of the most popular amongst fandoms, and while stonathan was replaced with steddie essentially, it’s been a hot minute since stonathan owned the stranger things fandom because again, it died down. people moved onto other ships from other shows or outgrew fanfiction for the fandom. that ship was like the stranger things equivalent to destiel at one point and now it’s a literal ghost, proof that this fandom does die down and that’s fine. it’ll pick back up one last time, it’s not the end of the world.

now onto the tags, a lot of people here—i’ve noticed more so sexually explicit writers (and i love your work, thank you for your service) just think people are like lazy or something. but really? it’s because a lot of people don’t tag their fics correctly.

some people have dark kinks, some people have more niche kinks, more innocent, etc., that’s inevitable, people have their own tastes. but they won’t tag it. and that’s when people get vocal about kinks and not letting people post what they want and stuff. do you, just make sure you do your due diligence, because when you intentionally don’t, people are gonna speak up. you and i know very well all tumblr users have opinions.

and when they do tag their work, it’s usually after it’s caused a stir or several hours after its been up (this is a tactic for engagement purposes, it’s not tagged for a couple of hours and then magically it appears hours after people have seen it and spread it and it happens pretty routinely). this is also applies to REBLOGS. i’m not sure if people think that because the original was tagged, it’ll be the same when they reblog, but it’s not! in fact, a lot of people just slap the eddie x reader tag on it and send it out again.

i get it, whatever it is may be your thing, my thing, but that’s just irresponsible and it sucks the joy out of whatever moment people were in when they went into the general tag. i don’t think it may have triggered them to the point of a mental breakdown, though i guess that could happen, but it definitely could put them in a man, fuck this shit i’m gonna go do something else or read something else from some other fandom, blah blah blah, and that’s valid, too. running into something you filtered out through the tags because someone didn’t want to tag their work so they could get more engagement kills vibes.

it’s happened a ton of times with me and so now i don’t go searching, because i’ve encountered waaaaaaaay too many dead doves with no proper tags other than “smut”.

i don’t ever really leave the three tab thingies on tumblr mobile home screen, so now i just get whatever i see my mutuals reblog, or something with a tag i follow (another neat feature to utilize), but again, because some people dont care to tag their stuff appropriately, it’s not always something i can read or something i feel mentally safe reading.

i doubt, like i seriously doubt, people only want to read their mutuals’ stuff. like me, i will support my mutuals and i appreciate them dearly but like….its not enough lol, i LOVE to read and i’m not tryna use them to farm a bunch of writing i can read for myself, that’s just fucked so i’m always looking (as best as i can while trying to avoid other people’s hidden landmines so to speak, because if i happen to like someone’s fic to read, i go back and check to see the blog is now just ‘???’ for me 💀) for new stuff from new writers, writers i don’t know, etc. that fits what i want to read (please, no more white character sibling!reader recs for me, i think you guys are so sweet for tryna plug me with something you think i’ll like but that immediately takes me out of the reader insert, like i can’t imagine myself or someone that looks like me)

yes, you can say there are cliques here who only support each other, and we haven’t been blind to drama and whatever, but people can say the same about you and your group of friends here. it’s all viewpoint. everyone is a part of a clique or group unless they literally don’t talk to anyone.

First of all, I’m not uncomfortable with my identity whatsoever. I wouldn’t even say I exist in a middle ground either, and I’m also not uncomfortable with that fact about myself. I cannot control my identity, and I’m perfectly fine with that, but that doesn’t mean that my identity isn’t complex. I love being complex! This is especially true when talking about sexuality. Humans are complicated creatures after all, so I am no different. I actually don’t lean on any one single label to describe my sexuality, because multiple labels are able to define me in some way. I don’t know what to tell you, but I find it redundant that people expect every person on this planet to adhere to there personal expectations for any given label, especially for those in the LGBTQ+ community. I’m not apologetic about that, or the fact that I don’t fit into your personal definition for any given term. You say I’m “not actually asexual”, however, you know nothing about me besides the post that you commented on. You don’t know my life, my sexual history, or what lead me to use the label in the first place. People use labels for different reasons. Most people don’t just uses a label because it sounds cool. They choose a label that they personally feels best defines them. I am no different. Labels for my sexual identity aren’t for others to apply to me, it’s for me to apply to myself based on my own personal life experiences.

I find it funny that you have claimed to not be aphobic. However, most of the points you’ve made have been, inherently, aphobic talking points. “you’re too young”, “you don’t have the sexual experience to know”, “not being a sexual person can be normal”, and “you haven’t found the right person” are all aphobic talking points, and yet, you used all of them in some capacity. You can claim you aren’t aphobic all you want, but it’s obvious that you have internalize aphobia in some form due to how you discuss this issue. And to address these points, I’m an adult (21) whose more than capable of knowing what I want, and I have absolutely no desire for sexual intimacy with another person. It’s not that hard to understand, both for myself and for others. My age doesn’t dictate anything about my sexuality or how much I am aware of it’s affect on me, and the same goes for others in the LGBTQ+ community. I find it rude that you make assumptions about my sexual history due to my age and due to the fact that I do not fit into your personal deffiniton for “asexual”. It’s much more rude when you know you’ve said aphobic things and are inherently being exclusionist, and try to deflect it by saying you aren’t. This goes for anyone. It’s a bad argument when you say one thing while trying to make yourself look better by saying that the opposite is true. It’s not too dissimilar to “I’m not racist, but-”, though obviously, it’s not exact. You can say you aren’t trying to be rude and whatever else, but that doesn’t make what you have to say change it’s meaning into something that someone won’t take as being objectively rude.

You’re right in saying that asexual and allosexual are not sliding scales. It’s a spectrum, but that’s sexuality in general. People use labels for different reasons. Personally, I have found that using the asexual label to define me is a whole lot easier when I have to discuss my sexuality with others. If I were to go into depth, it would be an essay. I’m not going to confuse others with a long-winded response to a simple question. Telling people “I’m asexual” is more comfortable for me and for others. I also do not need to explain my sexuality in depth to anyone, and that includes you. Nobody has the right to know everything about me, let alone why I chose a specific label. That’s the whole point in labels, partially, in my opinion. A single word that can be used to define and simplify a very complex aspect of a person, that’s how I see labels.

It’s also more than strange to me that you, someone who isn’t asexual, is trying to define what the term means for us. This assumption is based on the fact that you only refer to other people as being asexual, and not yourself. If you don’t apply to this label, then who are you to tell us how we are supposed to use it? Now I could be wrong in this, if so, then let me know.

You’re also trying to imply that I imagine allosexuals as people who are always horny. Which isn’t true for me and how almost every person defines the term “allosexual”. You’re coming up with arguments that are based purely on hypotheticals. Your also implying that libido and sexual atraction are the same thing, which they aren’t. I, and anyone else, can be horny and not want to be sexually intimate and/or experience attraction. Don’t equate a biological response to stimuli that people experience and say that every time someone feels horny (or really, any form of arousal), then they are feeling sexual attraction. That’s a very dangerous way of thinking. An example for why this is true would be people with P-OCD who experience any form of arousal from their intrusive thoughts, which is quite commonly found in any sexually-themed intrusive thoughts. Key word is intrusive thoughts, as they are unwanted and people who experience these thoughts are often disgusted by them. Though it’s unwanted, they feel arousal nonetheless. This arousal does not mean they are attracted to these thoughts, or the idea of acting on them. It’s just how the brain and body work together. You can do your own research on the topic if you don’t believe me.

The LGBTQ+ community is full of labels that can change meaning depending on how an individual defines that term for themselves. An example would be calling yourself “gay”. Gay is most often used to define people who experience homosexual attraction. However, different people will use it in different ways. It doesn’t just mean that someone is a gay man or a lesbian. A lot of bisexual people, pansexual people, and others will use the term “gay” to describe themselves. People generally call themselves gay if they feel any sort of attraction, in any amount, towards someone who isn’t the opposite gender. People also commonly call themselves gay if they are attracted to agender, non-binary, and/or genderfluid people. However, for some people, when applied to that specific individual, “gay” means they are only attracted to people of the same gender. The point is, the label “gay” doesn’t just have one stagnant meaning applied to it. It all depends on how an individual is defining it for themselves, not for others. The same can be said for asexual people as well, from my personal experience with myself and the asexual community.

From my experience with people who describe themselves using “asexual”, or any other label under the ace umbrella, their lack of sexual attraction has a much larger role in their sexuality than any sort of feeling of allosexuality does. Aceflux, grey ace, and demisexual are all a few examples of labels people use when they fit into the ace spectrum in some fashion. If you try to argue that these well established labels for peoples’ sexualities do not exist, then I cannot feel comfortable arguing about this with you. It is not appropriate to discuss the existence of other people and their experience with their sexuality in a way that at all insinuates that they are “wrong” or that these sexualities “do not exist”.

I typically use the label “aegosexual” because I fit into that term to the T. However, most people don’t know what that word even is. I also don’t want to explain it to people constantly. Because it fits under the asexual umbrella, I just use “asexual” when I’m in the real world. Or, I just say “queer”. It’s really not a big deal and it doesn’t hurt people. It doesn’t even muddle the original term in any fashion, from my standpoint at least, because it tells people “oh, this person doesn’t like sex, doesn’t have sex, and doesn’t wish to have sex”, which is true for me. That’s all it needs to be, and I don’t owe people any more than that, or even anything if I really think about it.

Quite frankly, anyone who tries to tell me what I’m allowed to call myself based on my perception of my own life experiences is a fool to me. I’m a random internet stranger, and people only know me based on my posts. I don’t post every aspect about myself, and I don’t need to either. If I find a different label that better defines me, then I will use that one. Or if I find that something about my sexuality changes in the future, then I will change my label. But right here, in this moment, this is the label that I feel best defines me. Nobody is going to convince me that I’m wrong about something I’ve had to live with my whole life. I don’t tell you what you can call yourself, you shouldn’t tell me what to call myself either.

doesn’t really know what to do at first. Ok, scratch that, he doesn’t know what to do for a while. Like he’s just sitting there patting your back awkwardly. And I’m sure you’ll appreciate it! But still! He still desperately wishes to do something more for you. So after a little while of feeling a little inadequate to do much to help, he embraces his inner sugar daddy and buys you one of those head things that apply pressure and are cold and shit… the fancy ones that have a neck portion to them too. Buys you like two or three different ones and gift wraps them all nice and shit you think it’s a like a normal gift and you open the box to find a contraption lol months later he randomly shows you his phone with what looks like a VR headset on it. You’re looking at him like: huh? “It’s an eye massager. Think it’ll help for your headaches?”

when he first figures out that you’re in pain he throws his arms around you in one BIIIIGGGG hug. Doesn’t matter to him what from, he just wants you to know he’s there for you. He holds you close to him as he searches for the pills you usually take, making sure to give you the right medication depending on how severe he senses it is. Also I don’t know why but soobin gives off the vibes of someone who’ll read the label on the bottle every time he uses it just to make sure he doesn’t miss anything :) you don’t have to lift a finger if you don’t want to with him. Also is like a mother reminding you to bring you things that help you not get a headache with you.

“that’s how hot you are: even headaches can’t resist you….but seriously though do you need some water?” He’s the type to understand what you need in that moment. Whether it be someone to distract you from the pain (and we all know how distracting he can be pffff) or someone to bring them a cold pack and sit there beside you in complete silence if you need him. He’s not so much there with you in word as he in in deed. And well a picture speaks a thousand words and his actions paint one hell of a portrait right in front of you eyes. He knows loud voices and noises aren’t going to do you any good, so he’ll make a 100 % sure not to make any and to keep his voice down. Opting on asking you things right in front of you and not yelling so you can hear him when he’s further away. He’s quiet as a mouse as he runs around brining you a little snack to eat, keeping on top of your meds, and watering you like a plant. Does his research and WILL stick to whatever he finds helps you. He may not be next to you all the time but you can feel his presence around you with your favorite blanket he’s tucked you in with and the darkened room hes made for you—no lights at all! When he needs to use his flashlight he gently tells you to not open your eyes.

you come fro him from the other room, stopping the chore you were going to find him on the sofa with a laundry basket. Half of the clothes folded and half still next to him. He sees your closed eyes and trembling lips and he grasps your wrist to pull you down next to him after scooting the pile of clothing further down the cushion. As you’re coming down next to him, already awaiting his warm skin on yours, he cradles your neck as you plop down and lean back so you don’t hit it too hard and hurt yourself on the back cushion. He doesn’t want anything worse to happen to his s/o. He’s figured out that a lot of movement might hurt so he asks you to stay absolutely still. Not like either of you are complaining now that you’re stuck with his arms around you and you leaning into his chest, forearm slung over his torso.

similar to beomgyu, he’ll make sure nobody around you is making loud noises, including himself so you can get your at least semi rest n quiet time. I can imagine him holding a finger up to his lips so as to “shush” anyone who’s walking too loudly lol, then pointing to you beside him on the sofa, arm sling over your eyes in pain to keep the light out. Gets up every two seconds to bring more things to the sofa to make it more uncomfortable for you. “Kai, at this point just bring the mattress in” he chuckle when he brings yet another pillow. That’s when he realizes that it’s enough and sits down with you again…. Only to get up to get something for you two to eat a minute later. Constantly checking up on you and just overall making sure you stay as comfortable as possible. He even silences your phone so you don’t get tempted to use something so bright. And if you do need to use it then he’ll first make sure it isn’t blindingly bright.

Nothing is canon in hetalia so I’m making my own list of headcanons regarding worldbuilding and al that whimsical stuff

I should probably mention this is inspired by THE worldbuilding hc post, I reblog it all the time but just in case you haven’t read it (how could you), you can do that here

Their body temperature depends on their climate. Sort of. Technically they all have a normal body temp, but you know how some people are always cold? In that way.

I think it’s canon actually that climates influence the general character of a personifications… although romano exists… so maybe not…. Not sure about that one.

They don’t get sick, in fact I hc they CANT get sick with normal human diseases. Their well being depends on the state of their people/the country. They get „sick” from wars, rebellions, econimic issues etc.

They can’t reproduce. Except for the times they can. Because egypt.

They exist as long as people feel connected to the idea of a „nation” or otherwise feel connected to that identity. Even if they „die”, as long as there are people who consider themselves a certain nationality, they can come back to life.

I’m partial to the idea of some of them appearing just because they were created artificially… like brčko. I will never actually talk more about her all you get is cryptic little puzzle pieces of info about her. Anyways she magically appeared when some documents were signed because funny

I’m unsure what happens when a nation is wiped out. Like when every person who was once a part of that nation either dies or stops identifying with it… maybe they get sick and die but maybe instead they turn into a human and slowly age, then die as the last person of that nationality….

They need to eat sleep etc but can go without doing any of that for longer periods of time than normal humans

They have hobbies and interests and can love humans but have no ambition or desire to live. Not even an animal like urge to live to pass something on. Because they really can’t. They exist to live and to vibe only. And despite no aspiration to live they will beg for mercy if you put a knife to their throat…. Hah… thats so weird

Immensly calming aura to normal people. Probably works better on people of their own nationality, they bring a sort of inspirational energy to the room. I feel as thought they inspired poets and artists, and all those works dedicated to the idea of a nation were actually about a being…

Despite being able to die (technically, even if not permanently) it takes them hundreds of years to understand the concept of death.

Same with aging, it makes no sense how a human deteriorates in, say, 60 years. How little that is, compared to their own age.

this is random and doesn’t apply to you specifically, you just seem chill and one of the most active peoples. Is there a reason comments aren’t used often and most people just reblog? Is that just a thing cause that’s what people do with no real reasoning, or is rebloging easier or better somehow? I’m just new here and I have the brain of an algorithm that’s like “but it seems more efficient to do this not that. So why are people doing that?”. Typing this out I realize there probably isn’t a reason, but ima still ask.

I’m still relatively new to snzblr— & tumblr in general— having just started this blog in March of this year, and tbh, I have absolutely no idea either.

I’ve just been copying how I’ve seen everyone else communicating for the most part, so I honestly could not tell ya’. There doesn’t appear to be any strict pattern, as I’ve seen people do both or either just because, but I usually comment under someone’s post if I want to talk directly to that person, and reblog if I wanna add on to the post.

For example, if I saw a personal post— someone going thru something difficult in their real life or someone having achieved something big in their real life, etc. and they decided to share/vent here— I’d comment, wanting to keep their post specific to their page & not take any attention away from their voice, but still offer support.

Or hey, if I saw a really hot snz prompt and don’t have anything specific to add but want to express how much I love it, I’d probably usually comment, saying something like “omg THIS!!! 👀👀” yk?

But if I saw a really hot snz prompt and wanted to add something, I'd reblog saying like “This is sooo [character]-coded” or “THIS, but add [whatever you wanted to add/ think pairs well with whatever scenario it is]” if that makes any sense.

Tbh, I really usually just sit back and observe how people communicate, and then try my best to match it to a degree that wouldn’t be off putting if I can help it 😭

most of the time, it’s really just a shot in the dark and the only “rules” for these things there are, are the kind I’ve made up in my head based on my own observations. (i.e. “normal conversation with someone you’re not super close with, limit yourself to 1-2 emojis if any” or something silly like that.)

i know i’ve said this so many times that it feels obnoxious at this point, and trust me, i’m as tired of saying it as (those of) you (who this doesn’t apply to) are of hearing it, but i need to reiterate it one last time. honestly, this is more of a rant than anything, but these thoughts have been on my mind for a while and i’ll just be glad to get them out. maybe this is making a big deal out of something quite small, but it wouldn’t have to be if people would actually listen/care.

i want to start off by saying if you’re someone who doesn’t have an age or an indicator of it on your blog, and the title of this post annoys you, you can go ahead and unfollow me right now.

or don’t, because i’m going to block you sooner or later anyway. which i realise sounds harsh, but apparently being polite about it isn’t getting me, or any of the other 18+ only blogs on here who are constantly repeating themselves, anywhere so i don’t care about being polite anymore.

the cheap price of literally nothing but having some numbers in your bio is still too high for some of you to ‘pay’ to read mine and others’ work. like we’re writing stuff you can read for FREE and all that us nsfw writers ask is that you have an age on your blog — yet some people still refuse to do that much. it’s not only disappointing, but also straight up disrespectful. there’s blogs who’ve been following me for WEEKS who still don’t have an age indicator, despite me posting about it regularly and despite it being clearly stated on my pinned post.

believe it or not, i don’t want to block you. some of you are always in my notifications, interacting with my posts, and especially when you reblog mine/my moots’ works, i recognise you, and seeing you makes me really happy! but when i check your blog and see that you don’t have an age on it, that’s telling me you’re seeing my reminders but you just don’t fucking care.

it’s all well and good interacting with me and my posts, but if you can’t even respect the simplest of boundaries, i don’t care whether you’re actually a minor or not. you are obviously too lazy or don’t care about me as an actual person as much as you care about the content you get to see on your timeline.

maybe you have your reasons, like maybe:

you’re not comfortable sharing your specific age. that’s totally fine! you can tell me in my dms if you’d like to. if not, anything from the year (e.g. 02’ liner) or the decade (e.g. 90s baby) you were born to an appropriate age range (e.g. 19-23) etc. will suffice. if you’re unwilling to do at least that, then i’m sorry but my blog is not for you.

you’re new to tumblr and don’t know where, or how to set up your blog. in that case, you google it. yahoo it. bing it. i don’t care. use the internet you clearly have access to and find out. there’s plenty of tutorials, you just have to look for them. or ask a friend or a mutual. you can dm me your age just so i’m aware until you figure it out.

you don’t have time. in that case, i don’t fucking believe you lol. if you have the time to read a whole fic, you have the time to punch in a two digit number into someplace on your blog — or to find out how, and then do so.

some of you don’t have an excuse though. some of you will list literally everything about yourself but your age on your blog?? you clearly know how to use tumblr, you clearly know where to put info about yourself, you clearly have time so... maybe you clearly just do not care enough to do the bare minimum of reading my byf or my pinned post.

also, it genuinely does not matter, nor do i care, where you actually put your age. whether it’s in your bio, your title or a pinned post, as long as it’s there, in some place i can access, it doesn’t matter.

i think i’ve talked about everything i wanted to, so to end this post on a more positive note, i want to thank the people who actually listen. i, nor anyone else, should be having to thank people for doing the bare minimum, but, at least in my experience, when you’re having to block 9 out of 10 blogs that follow you on a regular basis, you can get pretty used to the constant disappointment, and seeing that 1 blog who actually has an age on their blog can be pretty relieving lol so thank you<3

should not have gotten myself started on how much liv doesn’t like herself because now i’ll be here all week.

for 1.0 liv it’s mostly talked about in relation to her parents and her fear that she is just inherently bad. and now post s24e9 there’s also the underlying self-loathing of being in love with a married man (weirdly i think this is more apparent in s7-s9 than 10-12 ? there’s just a lot more conflict about how they’re Too Close but not actually Together with fault and screwed and paternity vs the married era where el liv and kathy have all just accepted the dynamic to a point where liv is much more shamelessly attached to him and vice versa) (livs obsession with keeping his marriage intact was always a big thing but it remains completely insane that liv just. tells amanda about it and says she never had a right. or a claim) and then after elliot left that feeling gets dialed up to a million bc of how easy it seemed like it was for him to just ditch her (referring mainly to scorched earth but applies to all of s13. but the crying in the interrogation room because her heart has just gotten stomped on by “someone else’s husband” was really…)

just. that feeling of inadequacy and constantly being the second choice or the burden that liv feels with all of her really important relationships (the exception maybe being simon who always needs her help but really loves her a lot - but still not unconditionally? she’s his sister and that’s all that he needs to know to love her but he asks a lot in return most of the time) being confirmed when elliot, the one person who doesn’t make her feel like she’s just something to be dealt with, has just cut her off entirely . like how is she supposed to feel normal about herself after that?? knowing that this guy that she loves and felt safe with and considers a good person can only be that good person if he’s nowhere near her???

i’ve said this before but the running theme of people leaving her and borderline blaming her for it drives me up a WALL . haden having to break up with her if they want to keep their jobs and barba and stone leaving svu because of how liv changed (or warped) their worldviews and cassidy’s “you were never gonna bear your soul to me” when he was the one who couldn’t tell her he imagined growing old with her when she asked but tucker moving too fast for her and “i tried, ed”

and then there are just so many. Moments. that get me like her telling baird in justice denied that she looks in the mirror and doesn’t like what she sees (which Does come from a deserved place of guilt lol but it’s so much harsher than what he’s expecting her to say) and then (last reblog) telling lewis she’s not really a “nice girl” when she’s in survival mode and i try to pretend both the lewis and the burton episodes didn’t happen❤️ but the frustration with herself (amaro’s “well physician heal thyself” did not help btw) in the 500th is really. something.

i don’t even know what i’m saying at this point i just think about olivia benson and then think of different ways to die. tldr she needs one of those self love journals
